A/N Hey guys, I am really sorry for keeping you waiting and it must've been irritating so, to make up for it, I'm putting two episodes in one chapter so I hope you enjoy it.

Tonight, Krypto, Streaky, and I were patrolling while the cat was complaining to us about how Andrea forcibly dressed him up like a girl while he shuddered.

"And then she wanted me to wear matching booties, pink ones no less so can you believe that crap?" Streaky finished with a grimace and I chuckled.

"Sounds like you managed to get out of there quickly," I commented and Streaky sighed.

"Yeah, but I figure that by now, Andrea's forgotten all about it so time for me to head home," Streaky said nonchalantly.

"Um, aren't you worried that she'll still be angry at you?" Krypto asked in confusion, then Streaky shook his head.

"Nah, who can stay angry at this face?" Streaky remarked as he gestured at himself before I started yawning.

"You know, I think I'm going to head home as well since I'm tired and I wouldn't be at my peak if I exhaust myself," I stated and Krypto nodded.

"Okay, I'll finish up our patrol alone so I'll see you guys later," Krypto said before Streaky and I separated from him and headed home, the two of us flying back until we arrived home and I went to my dog house after shifting back to normal until I curled up inside and went to go to sleep.

Pretty soon, I was startled awake when Streaky suddenly yowled and I bolted out of my house and hurried over to the fence, growing my neck up to peer over the fence just in time to see Andrea's mother storm out of the house with a furious expression while she was holding Streaky by the scruff, then she put him down and went back inside before slamming the door shut irritably while Streaky looked up at the window where Andrea's room was at.

I also looked up and was surprised to see a female cat with cream-colored fur and a bushy tail before she went back inside and Streaky looked to see me staring at him with a puzzled expression, just before he headed to the fence and flew over it until he landed right next to me while I retracted my neck and sent him a questioning look.

"I didn't know Andrea and her family adopted another cat, so you want to explain that and why you were kicked out of the house?" I inquired in confusion while Streaky still looked a bit bewildered until he made eye contact with me.

"Let's wait for Krypto to get home first and I'll explain," Streaky suggested until I nodded and we waited for Krypto to finish up his patrol until he came home, then Streaky told us how that female cat showed up out of nowhere and ripped up the curtains before framing him and getting him in trouble while he was sleeping.

"I'm telling you guys, that new cat set me up, but why?" Streaky wondered in confusion as Krypto and I shared a look until we looked at the orange tabby.

"It sounds to me like she wants to replace you," Krypto said and Streaky started scowling.

"She can't do that...can she?" Streaky asked us and I frowned.

"Well, she will keep trying to get rid of you if you let her keep doing that, so you can't let her push you around like that because she'll think she can do it again if you don't stand up to her," I stated before Streaky looked more confident as he sat up.

"Yeah, you're right so it's about time Delilah and I had a little talk," Streaky declared before he stormed over to the fence and flew over it until he was gone as Krypto and I looked at each other.

"Something tells me that it's not going to end well," Krypto told me, and I couldn't help but nod in agreement as we went to get some sleep.

Tomorrow night, Streaky approached us and said that he was kicked out of the house again and I couldn't help but feel that something's wrong as Streaky laid on the roof of Andrea's house and we sat next to him.

"I don't get it, why does she want you out of the house so badly? You're hardly there in the first place," I pointed out and Streaky huffed.

"Because she's a rat that looks like a cat, that's why," Streaky grumbled irritably and Krypto smiled at him sympathetically.

"Come on, why don't you go on patrol with me and Max to take your mind off of it," Krypto offered and Streaky shook his head.

"No thanks, I'm not in the damn mood," Streaky refused before I looked at Krypto with a thoughtful frown.

"Krypto, I'm going to stay here and figure out what's going on so I'll see you later," I said and Krypto nodded before he flew off into the city while Streaky sent me a thankful look.

"Thanks," Streaky said and I nodded.

"Of course, friends look out for each other so I'm glad to help," I stated warmly just before our ears perked up at the sound of a machine powering up.

I craned my head in the direction of where the noise was coming from and discovered that it was located below us in the attic, then I gestured for Streaky to follow me and we headed over to the edge of the roof before I shifted into the form of a snake and slithered down to where the attic window was while Streaky followed me until we stayed on the window sill and peered through the window to see Delilah with a large laser cannon as she spoke to a figure on a monitor that was covered in shadows.

"Yes, Mechanikat, everything is going according to plan and with that pesky cat out of the way, I was able to easily install the disintegrating ray," Delilah reported while I was listening in for anything useful, and I didn't like the sound of that while the figure chuckled.

"Excellent, when Superdog and Elastihound return to their dog houses, you'll be able to blast them and get them out of my way for good," the figure said in a male voice that had some kind of accent, then he leaned forward and he was revealed to be a male alien cat who had cybernetics covering most of his body as he let out a twisted laugh when Streaky and I shared a tense look.

"Oh hell, we need to do something and fast," Streaky told me, causing me to sway my reptile head to mimic a nod before we continued to listen in as Mechanikat held up a mouse toy.

"There'll be a brand new mouse toy in it for you, Agent 9L," Mechanikat offered with Delilah looking more eager until I heard Andrea call out for the female cat in an agitated tone.

Delilah quickly acted by ending the report and pressing a button on the console, causing the giant ray gun to vanish before Andrea stormed up the stairs while looking highly displeased until she approached the female cat and stood in front of her while crossing her arms and glaring down at the cat.

"Well, missy, I'm very angry with you because guess what I found in mommy's casserole? Glitter, and it was on the curtains too so I know it was you who did those bad things, not Streaky," Andrea snapped irritably, taking Delilah by surprise and she tried to look innocent but Andrea wasn't falling for it.

"Don't play innocent by giving me that look, I'm going to go get the cat carrier because it's time to take you to the shelter so wait until mommy gets home!" Andrea shouted in outrage as she left the attic, then Delilah started smirking once the girl was gone.

"By that time, my work here will be done," Delilah muttered as I signaled for Streaky to get the ray gun quickly while she was distracted.

Streaky quietly flew in and quickly picked up the device with a little difficulty and left the attic, only he was having trouble holding the device up against his back as he groaned in exertion from carrying something so heavy, prompting me to drop down from the window sill and shift back to my doberman form as I changed into my alter ego and formed wings to fly after Streaky so that I could assist him.

I flew right next to him and morphed into my anthro state as I helped him carry the device with my muscles enlarging enough for me to make it easier, only Streaky couldn't hold up the device anymore and we dropped to an alley somewhere in the neighborhood with me being flattened by the bottom of the device that hit the ground as Streaky crash-landed somewhere.

I let out a groan while I felt very compressed and dizzy from having so much weight turning me literally flat as a pancake as I heard Delilah showing up and trying to disintegrate Streaky with the device until Krypto suddenly appeared, then he proceeded to smash the device to pieces and I was being pushed into the ground that was turning into a small crater.

I heard Delilah attempting to flee but Streaky stopped her by throwing the female cat into a garbage can with the lid slammed shut to contain her, then Krypto praised Streaky for taking down his first criminal before the orange tabby started sounding frantic as he realized that I was under the destroyed device and it prompted him and Krypto to move bits of metal and other debris out of the way until they saw me in the crater while I looked like a cartoon that had been crushed by a boulder.

"Elastihound, are you okay?" Streaky questioned while I twitched in response.

"Just let me get out of this crater," I groaned as I peeled myself off the ground, looking like a 2D figure until I swelled back to my regular 3D self and sent an unamused expression at Krypto, who started appearing embarrassed.

"Sorry about that, I didn't realize you were under that thing," Krypto told me sheepishly, then I sighed.

"Let's just go back home and get some sleep because I really need it after that," I grumbled before Krypto looked at a closed garbage can that I assume had Delilah inside.

"You and Streaky do that, I'm going to take her to the Dog Star Patrol so that they can make sure she's put in prison," Krypto said, then I nodded and gestured for Streaky to follow me before we started heading back home.

"I'm lost, what the hell is the Dog Star Patrol?" Streaky asked in confusion while we were flying back.

"Oh right, we didn't tell you about them but it's a long story and I'm too tired to explain so maybe tomorrow," I said with a yawn before we went home, then I arrived at my dog house and shifted back to normal before heading in and laying down until I quickly fell asleep.

A few days later, nothing interesting had happened and now Kevin was to show up at Andrea's birthday party so he had gotten up this morning and was getting dressed until he saw his reflection in the mirror and grimaced at his messy hair.

"Ugh, bed head," Kevin muttered as he grabbed a brush and started fixing his hair while Krypto and I laid next to him.

"You two are so lucky that dogs don't have to get dressed up for birthday parties," Kevin added unamusingly while looking back at us.

"I don't know what you're complaining about since it sounds like fun, so I'd trade places with you in a heartbeat," Krypto said nonchalantly, then I sent him a look.

"Be careful what you wish for, Krypto, because you might just get it when you least expect it, and being human isn't all that fun," I warned dryly.

"Kevin, Andrea's present is on the kitchen counter!" Mrs. Whitney called out from downstairs, prompting Kevin to put down the brush and face us fully.

"Hmm, I wonder what I got her," Kevin said before he, Krypto, and I left the room before proceeding to head downstairs and went into the kitchen as I saw the present just sitting on the kitchen counter, right where Mrs. Whitney said as Kevin picked up the present to examine it.

"Huh, good size so is it a video game?" Kevin wondered as he went to open the present.

"Kevin, I don't think you should be opening that," I said uncomfortably since this felt wrong, causing Kevin to roll his eyes.

"Don't worry, just taking a quick peek is all," Kevin told me before he opened the small box and looked inside, then he scrunched his face up as he reached inside and removed a necklace with a red stone.

"Jewelry?! Gross, people will think I like her!" Kevin groaned in dismay while Krypto got a closer look at the necklace.

"Hey, I've never been to a party so you think...you...could...take...me..." Krypto trailed off while I was startled to see the red stone glowing slightly until Krypto just sat there with a blank look on his face while his eyes were glazed over with a red haze.

"Krypto, are you okay?" I asked warily as I made eye contact with him.

At that moment, I couldn't help but see how mesmerizing his eyes were and I couldn't stop staring as everything turned into a red fog around me while it felt like I was drifting away and it was so relaxing that I started smiling blissfully and didn't want this to end.

"Krypto, Max, what is it?" Kevin asked as he looked nervous and stared into my eyes until his eyes became glazed over with a red haze.

I didn't think about anything, just kept drifting away as my vision dimmed and blurred before I knew nothing after that, then something strange happened with the sensation of peacefully floating up and flying gently suddenly occurred until I flew down and landed when I suddenly snapped out of it and shook my head to clear it.

"Kevin, is everything okay in there?" Mrs. Whitney asked while she was in the living room, making me look back but I couldn't help but notice that something seemed really wrong as I discovered that I was sitting somewhere else.

"Yes, mom," Kevin said, then he and Krypto sharply inhaled in alarm and I was about to ask what was wrong as I went to look at them, only my eyes widened when I saw myself sitting across from me with eyes wide in shock and I knew that I wasn't looking at a mirror.

"W-What the-" I sputtered as I quickly looked down to check myself, only to see white fur on my chest, forearms, and paws while I was starting to panic.

"Kevin, Max, what's happening?" Krypto questioned fearfully with his voice coming out of Kevin's mouth, making me bug my eyes out and I had a suspicion as to what was going on as I went over to the opened present and placed Krypto's paws onto the counter before peering into the box.

"I-I think I have an idea because it looks like that red stone on the necklace somehow swapped us into different bodies, so we should do some research and figure out what happened," I said unsteadily, causing the others to nod as I snatched the necklace with my mouth and we hurried upstairs.

Suddenly, while Kevin was in my body, his torso stretched like a rubber band uncontrollably with the rest of him growing while he let out a shout of alarm, making me realize that he wouldn't have control over my abilities since he wasn't used to it so I placed the necklace down and hurried over to him.

"Max, what's happening?!" Kevin exclaimed in alarm.

"Kevin, listen to me carefully, you're not used to my elastic abilities so you need to concentrate and focus on retracting my body," I instructed while my old body looked like a bunch of noodles wrapped around each other with the neck snaking out on the floor.

"O-Okay, I'll try," Kevin said nervously before he closed his eyes and concentrated, then my old body started retracting itself until it was back to normal.

"Nice work, you did good," I complimented before my old body rippled like a thick liquid as Kevin shuddered in discomfort.

"Ugh, that was so weird and gross...no offense," Kevin told me, and I shrugged.

"None taken, now let's figure out what this stone is because I have an idea about its origins and I want to make sure first," I suggested as I went to pick up the necklace again.

We headed back into Kevin's room and Krypto had a little difficulty typing on the computer since he wasn't used to having human hands, but he managed to search up what we were looking for on google as a photo of a familiar red chunk of rock and plenty of information popped up.

"So, what is red kryptonite?" Krypto asked in confusion while I let out a groan of dismay.

"From what I know, it's a chunk from the planet Krypton but unlike green kryptonite, this one causes bizarre effects on any Kryptonian that used to live on the planet so I'd hoped that you wouldn't have to experience something like that.

Basically, what happened is that the red kryptonite swapped us into different bodies so I'm in yours, Kevin is in mine, and you're in his so being in the body of a Kryptonian canine is going to be different," I grumbled unamusingly since this wasn't how I was going to spend my day.

"Well, how long is it going to last?" Kevin inquired hesitantly before I grimaced since he really wasn't going to like what I had to say next.

"Okay, don't freak out, but the effects last for 24 hours," I answered, causing Kevin to bug his eyes out.

"A whole day?! But that means..." Kevin trailed off in growing horror as Krypto grinned.

"I'm going to a party," Krypto said happily, making me glare at him sternly.

"Krypto, you shouldn't be happy right now because look at us, I'm in your body for crying out loud! There's no way that this isn't going to end well for any of us since I'm not used to your abilities and I might destroy something by accident simply by touching it or setting it on fire with your laser vision," I snapped firmly, causing Krypto to wince as he seemed to realize what I meant.

"Not to mention that this body is like jelly and doesn't have any bones so I'd rather not go through what happened earlier a second time," Kevin added until Krypto sighed.

"When you two put it like that, you have a good point so what should I do?" Krypto asked.

"Start acting like how Kevin would and try to refrain from doing any canine behavior since people will start to think Kevin is crazy if you start acting like a dog, and Andrea won't be happy as well so please make sure that you don't cause a scene," I instructed before Krypto nodded.

"Okay, and what about you and Kevin?" Krypto inquired before I started looking uneasy.

"I'm going to treat everything as if it were fragile so I don't break anything by accident while I teach Kevin how to control my body so he doesn't start looking like a pile of spaghetti again," I replied just as Mrs. Whitney called for Kevin to get ready and we all got ready to put my plan into action while I prayed nothing would go wrong today.

Later on, we headed to the park where Andrea's party was being held and I saw Krypto eyeing a fire hydrant, making me grab his shirt by my teeth before forcing him to keep moving until we entered the park.

I could see kids having fun with a moon bounce or chatting with each other as the parents were supervising the whole thing, surprising me since I wasn't aware that Andrea had so many friends and felt a little envious of her because I didn't have friends back in Gotham.

"You're going to tell me how to act, right?" Krypto inquired as he looked a little nervous, and I didn't blame him as I let go of his shirt.

"As I said before, act like Kevin normally would and remember to refrain from showing any canine behavior because you're not a dog anymore," I instructed just as Andrea came over.

"Oh, for me?" Andrea asked as she took the present, then she saw me and Kevin before frowning.

"Sorry Kevin, but your dogs can't be here because I don't want them to make a mess or jump on other people," Andrea stated, then I grimaced since that meant Kevin and I wouldn't be able to keep Krypto out of trouble as he looked offended.

"They don't do that all the time," Krypto said in annoyance, causing Andrea to smirk in amusement.

"Don't worry, you can stay but Krypto and Max need to go," Andrea said before she took Krypto's hand and yanked him away from us while Kevin looked uneasy.

"Poor Krypto, hope he doesn't do anything that would get me into trouble," Kevin muttered before I looked at him.

"Well, as long as he follows my instructions, then there shouldn't be any problems...I hope," I said in uncertainty as I had a feeling that this wasn't going to end well, then Kevin perked up.

"You know, now that Krypto is at Andrea's party, that means I have the whole day as a dog," Kevin said as he looked more excited, his new tail wagging before it started extending like elastic and my eyes widened.

"Kevin, your tail," I whispered before he looked back and cringed.

"Oh yeah...maybe we should go home," Kevin told me in embarrassment as he retracted his tail back into its regular stubby appearance.

"I think that's a good idea," I agreed before we began our way back.

After that, we soon arrived home and I mostly felt tense while making sure to treat everything around me as fragile with Kevin struggling to get used to my elastic body before we went inside the house and I saw Mrs. Whitney, who was cleaning the dishes before she looked down at us with a smile.

"Hey boys, you hungry? How about some food?" Mrs. Whitney asked before Kevin perked up.

"Yeah, I'd love some pizza!" Kevin exclaimed happily while I tried not to grimace since he had no idea that dogs can't eat things like that, then Mrs. Whitney went and filled up mine and Krypto's bowls before placing them down in front of us.

Kevin looked confused and a little disgusted at first, but I nudged him slightly and went to eat before that caused Kevin to follow suit rather hesitantly as he went to timidly eat as well until we were done and Mrs. Whitney patted us on our heads.

Then Kevin and I went upstairs before heading into his room until we went inside, Kevin hopping up on his bed and laying down until Mrs. Whitney came upstairs and made him get off the bed before he laid down next to me.

"How did she know?" Kevin wondered before I smiled at him.

"Pet owners are smart that way, though I assume that you're starting to realize that being a dog isn't as fun as you thought?" I questioned, then Kevin sighed.

"Honestly, I have no idea how you got used to this because it stinks," Kevin complained and I chuckled.

"Yeah, being a dog was odd at first, but I adapted since I kinda had to and you shouldn't have to worry because the effects of the red kryptonite will wear off later and we'll be back in our own bodies," I reassured just as Melanie came into the room and held out her teddy bear in front of us.

"Krypto and Max give teddy a kiss," Melanie babbled before she giggled, then I licked the teddy bear and subtly gestured for Kevin to do the same.

Kevin rolled his eyes and hesitantly licked the teddy bear, causing Melanie to giggle before I stood up and gently nosed her until she petted me, then I panted while sitting down and wagging my tail as I made sure not to thump it on the floor and cause a mini-earthquake until Melanie was finished petting me and left the room.

"Seriously, I have no idea how you do that," Kevin commented before I looked at him.

"You just have to be patient is all, and she's a cute kid so I have no problems with her since I'm okay with kids," I said just before I heard something and my ears perked up.

"Max, what is it?" Kevin asked as I focused my hearing, then I heard Krypto call for us and I narrowed my eyes.

"It's Krypto, he needs our help so I hope you're ready," I said as I pushed a button on my collar and the cape with the S logo appeared while the ID tag popped out as well.

"Um, Max, how do I..." Kevin trailed off hesitantly and I realized that he didn't know how to form my outfit.

"It's easy, concentrate and focus on creating my outfit, not to mention that you have seen it plenty of times so it should be easy to memorize it," I instructed, causing Kevin to close his eyes and focus before my costume appeared.

"Whoa, that felt weird," Kevin stated as I went to nudge open the window.

"Okay, let's go and I know you can't shape my body into different forms yet so try and bounce across rooftops to keep up since you're like a rubber ball now," I said as I concentrated on flying and started hovering in the air without wings.

Kevin nodded and I took off through the open window, making sure that Kevin was still behind me as he bounced on rooftops and started laughing at how fun it was as we headed back to the park, then I could see Krypto chasing after a man who had a purse and let out a shaky breath as I zipped down.

I went and snatched the criminal by the jacket collar with my teeth and lifted him up into the air, causing the man to let out noises of panic as he flailed around and dropped the purse before Krypto caught it in his hands, then the police showed up and I dropped the man in front of the two officers.

"Thanks Superdog, we were looking for this dirtbag for a while so good dog," one of the officers complimented me as the other arrested the criminal, then I went to meet up with Kevin and Krypto as I felt proud for taking down a criminal as a Kryptonian without causing any property damage.

After that, all three of us were congratulated for stopping the criminal before the effects of the red kryptonite wore off and it felt good to be back in my own body again, just as Kevin was lectured for doing something so dangerous but that didn't ruin his good mood as we were in his room.

"I still can't believe it, we're heroes and the head of the party," Kevin said just as Krypto looked at him.

"And what's even better is that we're back in our own bodies," Krypto replied until Kevin started appearing relieved.

"Yeah, and no offense to you and Max, but I prefer being a boy," Kevin said.

"It's fine, I'm okay with being a dog any day," I assured warmly.

"Well, at least nothing else happened for me to get into any trouble," Kevin told us just as I nodded.

"Yeah, at least you only got lectured because of Krypto chasing after that criminal, so how about we enjoy the rest of the day while we still can," I suggested, making the others nod before we went downstairs and started to enjoy the rest of the day.

A/N Hey guys, I'm finally done with this chapter and Ace will be making his first appearance in the next one so I'm sure you're all excited for that...with that said, I'm going to have to put this story on hold for a while until I can finish a few others that I have been neglecting.

I know you all are disappointed by that, but I would rather you all knew that instead of having you wait for who knows how long until the next chapter comes, so apologizes for that since I can only work on one story at a time and didn't want to burn myself out.

Well, let me know what you think about this chapter and stay tuned.
