AN:Yeah I'm not dead...Sorry this chapter is so late, had a shit ton of stuff that kept popping up in my life. Not to mention my sleep schedule became fucked and I've been really tired with work and school and moving out.
But thank you for all the reviews and kind words. They mean a lot to me.
Date: August 30th : Time:Unholy hour of 6 a.m. : Place: My warm and comfortable bed
"-stuki, wa-up."
Someone was trying to shake me away. It didn't sound like my mother so I wasn't worried.
"Mhmhhmhm." I gave whoever it was a very dignified response.
"Hatsuki Uchiha wake up!"
"Later, sleep first."
"HATSUKI!" Strong arms grabbed me and dragged me out of bed. I landed in a graceful heap on the floor and looked up to see my father looking down on me.
"'To-chan?" I mumbled sleepily. What was he doing getting me up? Usually my mother took me wherever I needed.
He just sighed, rubbing his face and said, "I'll be taking you to school today, so get up and get ready for a bath." He just left me in a heap on the floor, leaving my room while looking utterly exhausted.
I sat there on the floor for several minutes, blinking, trying to shake myself awake.
After I took my bath, I stepped into the kitchen to get some breakfast and ask my mother why my father was taking me to school. Its not that I minded, I just had enjoyed talking to her during the walk-
Huh. I stopped in the middle of the hallway and stared blankly at the wall.
I had gotten emotionally attached to my new mother to the point where I looked forward to talking and bantering with her.
I...am unsure about how I feel about this.
They were just side characters right? They didn't matter in the grand scheme of things so why do I-
Whatever it was nothing. Ignore it, Hatsuki. Focus, you have to get ready for the Academy.
As I turned the corner into the kitchen I was greeted with an interesting scene in the dining room. It was an absolute mess, with the table overturned and the plates and dishes from last night were all over the floor.
I noticed a shuriken sticking in the wall and a weird cloth-
WAS THAT PART OF MY MOTHERS KIMONO?!
"So Hatsuki, what do you want for breakfast?" My father asked awkwardly from the kitchen door-frame and interrupting my thoughts.
They did not do what I think they did. Not in the kitchen of all places.
I stared him down and decided to confirm my suspicions.
"What happened last night?"
The reaction was immediate, he had one of those flashback faces and I regretted even asking.
I was never eating in this room again. My parents had defiled the dining room.
"I'm not hungry To-chan, can you just make me onigiri for lunch?" I just said, desperate to get out of the kitchen and dining room.
"Hai," he snapped out of it, "Come on, I'll let you help make your bento box."
I decided my father was just an painfully awkward man who had no idea how to deal with a kid, let alone a supposed prodigy. He was currently trying to get me dressed in a purple yukata with a yellow and orange obi. I kept giggling as he kept messing up the obi and redoing it.
And not at all because I was ticklish in the ribs.
I think he was starting to catch on because he started poking me in the ribs and I couldn't stop laughing.
"Come on you two, you need to leave or you'll be late." I looked up to see my mother in my door frame with a fond smile on her face.
"What's wrong with that?" I blinked innocently as my father finally figured out how to tie to obi. I mean, I wasn't exactly excited for another boring day of napping and doodling. The only perk was being able to mess around with Sasuke and see Hinata again. And maybe get to see Naruto again.
"Come on Hatsuki you need to go the Acadamy to learn how to be a proper Shinobi."
The walk to the Academy was quite, but a comfortable silence. I waved at my father before walking into the Academy and going into my classroom.
And of course Ducky attacked me as soon as I walked through the classroom doors, demanding that I watch him do the fire ball justu.
Hmm..to mess with him or to not...
There is no debate.
"Maa maa, sorry Sasuke, but me and Hinata are going to be doing a friendly spar during lunch break, maybe afterwards?" I gave him an innocent smile.
He puffed out his cheeks, and crossed his arms, "Fine, after we get out of the Academy we are going straight to the training grounds and you are going to watch me do it."
Ducky is pretty cute when he's demanding.
...
Ignoring that comment brain.
"Nah, maybe tomorrow my To-chan wants to help me train my Sharingan. Now that I think about it, with training with Hinata and my parents and teaching my minions I won't be able to watch you for the next month, possibly more. I'm so deeply sorry-"
It took me three seconds for my brain to catch up with my mouth and as soon as I realized I knew I had made a mistake.
"Y-you unlocked your Sharingan?" Ducky's eyes were wide with disbelief. They narrowed as emotions flashed danced across his face, too quickly for me to register them all.
Shit, fucking dammit.
I don't want to deal with a broody, angsty Ducky. Only Naruto was suited for that job. I wasn't going to be made part of some rivalry that would last until the end of time.
"Yeah yesterday, my kaa-chan was in a bad mood so we went for 'survival training' and she scared the shit out of me which resulted in me unlocking my sharingan." I tried to shrug it off, but Ducky wasn't buying it.
"She scared you so bad you unlocked your sharingan?"
I did not like that look on his face.
Who knows how badly that would effect the plot if Sasuke got his sharingan early-
Actually, why the fuck not. I mean who cares if the plot is screwed or not and I would get to torment him for fun-
No brain bad idea. Itachi would probably kill me or worse if anything went wrong and Ducky got hurt.
"Oi, Ducky don't try anything stupid. I'd hate to be responsible for you going into the hospital or accidentally dying or something. You shouldn't put yourself in bad situations just to unlock a doujustu."
"Hn. What's it too you?" He crossed his arms and looked to the side while I resisted the urge to face palm.
"Because your brother would probably kill me if I was responsible for you being stupid and getting yourself killed." I deadpan. Maybe not kill, but I still hope to Jashin that Ducky doesn't do anything stupid. Itachi wasn't someone who's bad side I wanted to be on. I mean I know he's a pacifist or whatever, but he's borderline yandere when it comes to Sasuke.
Our teacher interrupts him from whatever he was going to say as he tells us to get to our seats and sit down. I did not like that look on his face.
As I try to mentally prepare myself for the boring class, I take my seat next to Hinata and notice she's looking down and extra fidgety. Before I can even greet her she hands me a note and after quickly skimming through Hiashi's elegant handwriting, I let out a sigh.
"So, you're not allowed to talk to me, except for to say, you're not supposed to talk to me."
Hinata fumbled nervously with her hands, before nodding.
Of course Stick-the-size-of-Texas-up-my-ass-Hiashi wouldn't let his daughter interact with me after yesterday.
"Well," I drawled out, smirking, "ya know you're only in trouble if you get caught."
(Note to self, tell minions the story of Aladdin later.)
"B-but-" she started.
"Hina, I know you want to listen to your dad, but honestly it's really dumb that you can't talk to me. Besides you just talked to me, so you already disobeyed." I shrugged before continuing, "And he can't actually stop me from talking to you. I mean, you can just choose to ignore me if you want but here's a better idea. You can keep writing down what you want to say, that way you're technically not disobeying. And you can keep nodding or shaking your head if you want."
Hiashi can try all he want but Hinata is going to my friend and is going be praised and adored no matter what.
Hinata just blinked and seemed to process what I said as I mused over some other ways to communicate.
Idea alert: What if I got Shisui to teach me some ANBU hand signs. Learning hand signs could be cool, and I could always make some up if need be. Giving someone the middle finger wasn't offensive in Japan right? So I could totally make my own version of ANBU hand signs and teach it specifically for the Rookie 9 and my minions. Maybe add in some english words or just have the english language as a written portion.
Maybe I am a genius.
"Maybe we should use hand signs, I could probably get Shi-nii to teach me some."
"Am I interrupting something?" My teacher asked, the scowl on his face betraying his calm voice. He was probably still sore about yesterday.
"Nope," I said, popping the 'p' and giving my teacher a smile.
As he walked away I propped my book up and laid my head down, preparing to nap through the next several hours.
I know, I know a year without anything and all you get is a measly 1k words...
I'm sorry I've just been really burnt out and not motivated to write at all. I don't know if it's my ADHD but in my mind the story is already finished and done. The next chapters will probably be small ones like these sporadically when I can force myself to focus and write.
Till Next Time.
