Just a little something rolling around in my brain after the latest episodes. Probably a one shot.
Dr. Angela Wheatley looks at the door to see detective Elliot Stabler standing at the door and asks, "Help me…"
Angela fades in and out of consciousness hearing a feminine voice encouraging her to stay with us, and seeing warm brown eyes looking down at her. She wonders if those are the pair of pretty eyes the good detective truly loves before she finally loses the battle to keep awake.
Elliot's calls for assistance finally are heard as a team of doctors and nurses rush in the hospital room to treat Angela Wheatley.
Captain Olivia Benson steps out of the room to let the medical team do their work.
Elliot looks like he's panicking about to hyperventilate, Olivia recognizes the signs of the PTSD he's been struggling with. He's probably concerned about Dr. Wheatley.
Olivia touches his arm trying to reassure him, "El, I think she'll be okay. You'll make your case against Richard Wheatley."
She's surprised when this elicits no calm in him.
"That's not it. Christ, where is your phone Liv? Give me your phone."
"What is it? Why do you need to see my phone?"
"Didn't you say you are here because I texted you? Let me see it right now!"
Oliva hands her cellphone over to him.
Elliot reads the text, "O, I'm in trouble. Can you please come meet me?"
"El, you're going pale. What's going on?"
"That rat bastard, I'll kill him! I didn't send you this message Liv!"
"You didn't text me to meet up?"
"What's always been my nickname for you?"
Elliot watches as realization dawns in Olivia's dark eyes.
She states, "I've stared down worse than Richard Wheatley. I'm not afraid of him. Maybe I should take him up on his dinner offer."
"Morales' betrayal, attempting to get rid of Angela… If Bell hadn't shot Morales' first ... Wheatley he was trying to take you out too! Just to finally break me for good…"
He continues softly, "It would have worked. He knows my one weakness."
Olivia gasps, "El, I'm safe. I'm okay."
He doesn't respond making her nervous.
She steps towards him and takes him in her arms assuring him, "I'm right here. I am not going anywhere partner."
She finally senses his breathing start to normalize as soft tears fall on her neck and he squeezes her tightly for dear life.
