I do not own Law and Order: SVU or Organized Crimes or any of the associated characters.
Benslerfan4ever: Thanks I liked that part too lol!
SpaceKitten: Here's more...
I sit at the table waiting for my "guest of honor" to arrive.
I don't like calling in favors or pulling rank, but I was able to get some alone time and an interrogation room just for this special occasion.
A guard brings her in. She looks confused. I look at her slim, tanned figure. She's not physically unattractive.
"Please, have a seat and you can leave us officer." I direct.
She sits down across from me and the silence that ensues while I can't help glaring at her must bother her because she starts speaking, "I don't believe we have been introduced. I'm Professor Angela Wheatley."
"I know who you are."
"I cannot say the same detective."
"It's Captain. Captain Olivia Benson," I correct.
"A female captain, I am impressed. I already have told the police everything I know about Richard and his operation."
"That's not why I'm here Mrs. Wheatley."
"It's not?"
"No, I just wanted to see the woman responsible for leaving a teenage boy, and his siblings I've known since they were in diapers without a mother."
I see her grimace, "This is about Kathy Stabler?"
"She never did a thing to you. Someone who claims to be suffering the loss of a child. You took a mother away from her children."
"I wasn't thinking…" She starts to mumble.
"No you weren't."
"You seem to know a lot about me…" She continues, "I don't know much about you captain. Were you friends with Kathy?"
"Of a sort. You could say that."
She pauses shaking her head as if she realizes something, "No, you are friends with Elliot."
I don't approve of how she addresses him so informally.
"Detective Stabler and I have worked together in the past."
"I see. Well, I've hurt him. Maybe you can help me. I'm hoping he and I can get past this."
I scoff almost laughing in her face, "There's no getting "past" you murdering his wife."
She puts her head down in silence.
I tell her almost sympathetically, "Look I get it, he's muscular. He's got those big, bright baby blues. A kinder heart you will never know. But …"
"But what?" She asks.
"You've literally killed any chance you may have had with him. And I'm only here to tell you one thing."
"What might that be?"
"I don't care how 'cooperative' you have been with the investigation into your ex husband. If you go near my partner or his family ever again… I will make it my life's mission to make sure you never see the light of day."
"Your partner? I didn't see you in Organized Crimes."
"We worked together for over a decade in the Special Victims Unit."
She's thoughtfully silent before saying, "He kissed me. He's a good kisser wouldn't you say captain?"
This time I actually chuckle at her pathetic attempt to surprise or goad me, "I wouldn't know. But he already told me about what happened between you two and that it didn't mean a thing to him."
I can't stand the sight of her anymore. I've said what I needed to, so I call for the guard.
Before he takes her away, she addresses me after examining me carefully, "Are you sure you won't thank me? Olivia …"
"What is it Mrs. Wheatley?"
"I just noticed that you have very pretty brown eyes."
