In 1979, humanity discovered something on the Moon that would change its history forever. The supernatural that had once been hidden was revealed to the world. A revolution unlike anything before in human history, changed human society and propelled humanity forward as a fledging interstellar civilization.
By the dawn of the 3rd millennia, humanity had been transformed: physically, spiritually and mentally. Natural evolution accelerated at rates beyond what had come before or artificially guided down pathways never explored by mother nature.
Contact with another alien civilization would come nearly a thousand years after, at start of the 4th millennia. Humanity would learn how different aliens were, and yet, all the same.
The year is 3032. It is a time of change. Alien civilizations are embracing the unique culture, science and technology that humanity had embraced for a thousand years. The greatest effect being that the body and soul are separate. They can be manipulated, changed, stored, repaired, and backed up.
A new age is sweeping through Citadel space, threatening centuries old galactic stability. With that come new problems needing new solutions. This is the story of a newly formed joint team of the System Alliance and Citadel Cooperative. A team led by a certain Commander Shepard.
