After his conversation with the Goddess Demeter, Ritsuka is called to asist in disposing of a few creatures that are attacking the upper levels of the city.
After finally being able to sleep, Ritsuka was woken up by loud alarms in his room and the sound of footsteps running just outside of his room. All of the sudden, his Servant, Medusa, materialized inside the room.
"Master, a creature managed to break through the upper levels of the city!" -
"That's why there's so much panic? The soldiers should alredy be used to..." -
"This isn't an ordinary creature, this is a Noble Phantasm" -
"Excuse me?" -
Ritsuka got up from the bed and got dressed as fast as he could before leaving his room with his Servant.
"What kind of Noble Phantasm is this thing?" - he asked.
"Seems to be the summoning of one Gilles de Rais. We don't know how did it managed to get into the city, but it's causing major damage" -
"Is it the only one?" -
"What?" -
"Is it the only thing that managed to break into the city?" -
"From the scans the soldiers did, it seems so" -
"Right... I don't know about you, but this seems to be a distraction. Where are Heracles and Hyppolita?" -
"They're engaging the creature directly" -
"Then you come with me, we're going to see if no one else managed to sneak into the city in the chaos" -
Together with Medusa, both of them made their way to above levels of the city, all while he monitored the situation via telepathic comunication with his Servants. While the beast was still fighting, they managed to stop it from moving any further, but now that giant thing was but one of their problems, as an army of sea creatures started to infiltrate on the giant hole made by the original.
"That must've been a happy little coincidence for my sister" - he said to Medusa - "Keep your eyes open, you never know when something might attack us" -
"Understood Master, but... Isn't this place a little too silent?" -
She was right. The hallway in which they were walking was extremly quiet, usually it would've been filled with troops that would be the defenses in case the enemy forces managed to break in.
"They weren't sent to fight the beasts right?" -
"They weren't..." -
As she finished saying that, all the lights in the hallway suddenly went off, leaving both in complete darkness as they listened to the doors on each end close as well. Seeing this, they entered a deffensive stance, back to back.
"Hello!" - a femenine voice came out of nowhere - "This is the adorable BB, bringing BB Channel to the people of Atlantis! Today, we have two very special guests, the Crypter of this Lostbelt and his most trusted Servant!" -
"Who are you!? How did you did this!?" - yelled Fujimaru.
"Don't think too much of it dear Crypter. Rather, you should be focused on the fact that you're about to get killed" -
From the shadows, a figure jumped and managed to slice his stomach with a weapon, but he wasn't able to counterattack.
"You were right! That attack was all but a little distraction. I'll have to thank dear Gilles for giving us permition to use his Noble Phantasm for this one, truly a magnificent show! And with its help, we were able to sneak a few Assassin Servants into the city, and now you're trapped in this room with them!" -
"Fufufu, thanks a lot for your help BB, this will be fun" - said another voice from inside the hallway.
"Medusa, you think you can..." -
"Leave it to me Master, try to hold on" -
"It's what I do best" -
With that, Medusa started to scout the room, searching for their enemies. Jumping from side to side while slashing with her blade, Ritsuka was able to hear the movements of the Servants around him. Even with their Presence Concealment, his heightened senses because of the Klironominia made him capable of keeping track of them.
Focusing on her surroundings, Medusa was able to counter one of the attacks one of the Assassin Servants did on her Master, kicking him against the wall of the hallway. While she was able to get a lucky hit, they still were at a disanvantage, since it was all pitch black, yet the fact that they were inside the ocean gave Ritsuka an idea. Dangerous, but an idea.
"Medusa, break the hallway!" -
"What!?" -
"Just do it!" -
Medusa, as ordered and even if hesitant, punched the reinforced walls of the hallway. Thanks to her strength increased by the Poseidon Klironominia, she was able to easily break it.
The water started to flow, disrupting the strategy of the Servants of Chaldea and with the help of Medusa, the Crypter and her Servant managed to swim to the surface.
"Master, that was incredibly dangerous" - Medusa said to him.
"I had to think quickly, I wasn't going to wait for Hephaestus to regain control of the situation" -
After getting to the island that had the entrance to Atlantis and entering the city, Ritsuka saw the destruction caused by the creature unleashed by Gilles, which was luckily stopped by his Servants and the soldiers.
This made Fujimaru nervous. Chaldea had broke in incredibly easy, they needed to defend better the city to give them a chance for the Tree to fully grow, and he had an idea to win more time.
It was time to deploy Artemis on the surface.
