'It's been a few hours since we found ourselves in this sandy terrain' Naruto thought.
Looking around and all he could see is sand and more sand. When they first left the woods they soon found themselves in the sandy terrain. And since then the crew opened their hatches and poked their heads out for the cool air. And Naruto was leaning on the .50 Cal right next to War Daddy. To the left of him was Grady sitting on the hatch, legs sticking inside, while Bible was poking his head out.
"Man, this is what it if feels like huh," Naruto said.
"What do you mean," Grady asked.
"From the Brits who fought in the desert" Naruto replied.
They began to chuckle as they were lucky that they weren't part of the African campaign. It was then that Gordo looked up into the sky and shouted "Hey Rommel! You out there!"
With that everybody laughed. Grady laughed so hard that he rocked Bible's head back n' forth.
Once everybody calmed down War Daddy asked "So if we're in your world, what can we expect from it"
"People are faster, do what you call magic, and have demons sealed into people" Naruto responded
"Well let's hope for the best and keep pushing," War Daddy said.
Everything became silent as everyone thought about Naruto and how demons are sealed into people. 'So there are others like you huh kid' War Daddy thought.
Further forward, the sandy terrain slowly began to turn into a forest again. Along the trees were six people jumping on the trees. One had spikey white hair and one eye with the other covered by a headband. The figure next to it was a girl with pink hair and red clothes. The three behind her were following a green-clad adult. And the three-figure each had their differences. One was an exact copy of the green-clad adult. One was wearing a white robe and had long hair with pearl eyes. The last one was wearing a white shirt with red pants and had two hair buns. The six-figure were known to be Kakashi, Sakura, Might Guy, Rock Lee, Neji Hyuga, and Tenten.
"Damn we should be getting close right Kakashi sensei," Sakura asked.
"I guess so but we should hurry, the Kazekage is depending on us" Kakashi responded.
"Yosh let us hurry then. Come to Lee let our youth shine" Might Guy shouted.
"Yes!" Rock Lee shouted as they began to speed through the group.
After they passed the group, Sakura began to think about the enemy, who managed to capture the Kazekage.
"Kakashi, do you think we can find Naruto with them," Sakura asked.
Sighing Kakashi responded "I hope so Sakura"
Ever since Naruto disappeared from the Valley of the End, were Naruto attempted to stop Sasuke from leaving the Village. But when Kakashi arrived all he could find was two headbands. One with a slash in the middle and the other one bloodied.
When the news that Sasuke left the village and that Naruto was missing everyone one of Naruto's friends fell into depression. The Hokage, lady Tsunade, and Hinata were most depressed. Everyone was sad, but they never gave up hope that Naruto was alive. The Sand Siblings, who helped in the Sasuke retrieval, offered to help. Strangely Gaara, was mostly quiet when he heard about Naruto's disappearance. Everybody understood because Naruto once saved Gaara and now Gaara considered him a 'friend' and was in debt to him.
When Gaara became Kazekage, he sent shinobi to try to find Naruto and help with Naruto's friends as they tried to find him as well. Then there was Jiraiya of the Sannin, he immediately became worried that the Akatsuki had already found him. When Naruto's friends questioned why Jiraiya had been so worried. He revealed about the goals of the Akatsuki and that they after Naruto because of his Jinchuriki status. They doubled their efforts in searching for Naruto, but have found nothing since then.
Then they received a message that the Kazekage has been captured by the Akatsuki. The Hokage quickly sent the rest of Team 7 which was Kakashi and Sakura and Team Guy.
"Guys we found something!" Guy shouted.
Quickening their pace, they began to arrive at a mountain. But to the left, Sakura could have seen a grey rectangular object heading towards their way.
"Hey did you see that" Gordo called out, pointing to the trees?
"The things jumping on the trees, yeah," Naruto said.
"Well, let's follow them" War Daddy ordered.
"That a good idea Don," Bible said.
"We have a tank, they ain't gonna do shit" War Daddy countered.
"That's true," Bible said.
Throwing caution to the wind, they began to follow the figures. After going back inside the tank, Norman and Grady all checked to see if their weapons were loaded which it was. Naruto, not wanting to be spotted, entered the tank as well after loading his .50 Cal and sat behind Bible. Slowly driving behind the figures, Naruto peeked at the scope of the tank was surprised.
"Sakura, Kakashi," Naruto said.
"What was that," War Daddy asked.
"I know these people" Naruto answered.
"I guess we don't shoot them then," Bible said, pushing Naruto out of the way.
"Yeah, but they seem to be in a hurry" Naruto claimed.
"Well, let's hurry then. Forward, now" War Daddy ordered.
Gordo, pushing the driving stick forward, quickly accelerated the tank and was now half a mile away from them. A good thing too or they would have heard the engines. Then everything came to a stop as Gordo used the braking stick.
"What the hell was that for" War Daddy barked.
"They stopped" Gordo responded.
Looking through the scope Bible confirmed "Yup, they did. They're in front of a mountain and a boulder is in the way and they seem to be trying to pry it out of the mountain"
"Then let's help them, Grady load one up," War Daddy said.
Reaching down, Grady pulled out a tank shell and quickly inserted it into the tank turret.
"Clear!" Grady shouted.
"One away," Bible said in response.
A huge bang roared after Bible's response. Through the scope Bible could see the tracing round of the shell fly, hitting the boulder. And the people in front of it backed away or fell from the blast. Looking back at the boulder, it seemed to crack, just another one would do.
"Give it another one" War Daddy ordered.
After putting another shell in the turret Grady shouted "Clear!"
"One away"
Another bang roared and another shell went flying hitting its mark. The boulder broke down and dust flew around the area. Bible backed off from the scope and smiled, pleased at the accuracy of him and the tank.
"What was that!" Sakura shouted as she picked herself upon the ground.
"I don't know but the cave is open let's go," Kakashi said.
Getting up Sakura, Kakashi, and Team Guy entered the cave. Upon entering the cave, they could hear laughter.
"Well that was unexpectedly faster than I thought, but we completed the mission," said a voice
Looking ahead Sakura could see to people in the middle of a room. One was sitting on top of Gaara and another one was next to Gaara. But Gaara laid there not moving.
"What have you done" Kakashi stated.
"We've taken the Biju from him and he died. That's what we did" the person sitting on top of him said.
"Who are you," Neji said.
"I am Deidara and next to me is Sasori," Deidara said.
"Damn, first Naruto then Gaara," Sakura said, tears forming in her eyes.
"Oh the nine tails Jinchuriki, do you know where he is, we can't find him anywhere" Deidara playfully asked.
"Wait you don't know where he is," Sakura asked in surprise.
"Shut up, we're wasting time now. I have to meet Orochimaru in 10 days" Sasori said getting in his battle stance.
'Damn, we have to deal with this now. I'm sorry Naruto, Gaara' Kakashi thought while getting into a battle stance.
"Oh what's this, you brought something for us," Deidara said.
"What are you talking about," Tenten asked.
"The thing behind you" Deidara responded.
'Something's behind us, how?' Kakashi thought as he now heard a roaring sound. With everyone looking back, they were all confused as something was there. It was gray and long and tall.
"I have not idea what that is" Sakura stated.
Then a long tube began to move towards them. With a feeling in their gut, they all jumped to the side as a loud bang roared and an explosion erupted.
"The fuck Bible" Naruto shouted as he slapped Bible in the helmet.
"Fuck off, ok" Bible retorted.
Scoffing, Naruto took a look at the scope and saw two figures with black cloaks and a red cloud. Somehow, somewhere, he's seen that cloak. Then it hit him as when he was 12 years old when he was trying to find Tsunade. And he came across Itachi Uchiha, Sasuke's brother. And he was after the beast inside of him.
"No way it's them" Naruto whispered.
"Who, who's them," War Daddy said.
"Them, to one's in black cloaks and a red cloud in the middle. They tried to kill me when three years ago" Naruto whispered.
"Well, that's our target then?" War Daddy asked Naruto who nodded in response.
"Bible, Machine, squirt those assholes in black. Use machine guns, not the shells. Don't wanna bring the place down" War Daddy ordered.
Like clockwork, Norman and Bible aimed. Once centered at their targets they fired.
*Thump, thump, thump*
Outside of the tank, the machine guns below and next to the tank turret began to fire, focusing on the two Akatsuki members.
The other shinobi took cover, via going on the ground, and covered their ears as they never heard anything so loud before.
Sasori, very stupidly, ran forward to the machine gun spray and was immediately torn apart by the spray of bullets. Deidara looked at Sasori in shock as Sasori now layed on the ground dead. 'Whatever this thing is, it can kill anything easily' Deidara thought.
Getting some clay into his mouths and spitting them out he summoned a clay bird and quickly took off. When leaving he noticed the tracer rounds were following him and a moment later, hit his arm, tearing it off. Screaming in pain, Deidara forced the clay bird to go faster until out of the thing's sight.
Once the clay bird fell out of view, the crew wondered how that was even possible and ended their machine gun spray.
"Well, at least you got one Machine" Gordo complemented.
"Fuck that, Bible hit them first" Grady shouted.
"Nah, bullshit..." Gordo could've said more but Naruto held up his hand and pointed at the scope. Seeing what Naruto was doing, the crew went back to their periscopes. Looking at the group that got up after the machine gun spray stopped, went further into the cave.
Around a few minutes later, the group came out but one of them came out with the body of a red-haired fellow.
"Gaara" Naruto mumbled.
"You know him, kid," Grady said.
"Yeah, I know him. And he's not moving" Naruto continued.
Once the group came outside they all got to a runner's position, but not before giving the strange thing a nod of thanks. And then they ran off into the trees leaving the crew behind.
"Well, now what," Gordo asked.
"Let's follow them since Naruto knows them" War Daddy ordered.
Without a word, Gordo got the driving sticks and moved forward to where the group was heading.
Running through the trees, Sakura along with everyone else began to wonder about the thing behind them.
"Do you guys know what that thing was?" Tenten said.
"I have no clue, I have never seen it in my life" Kakashi stated.
"Yeah, but it defeated those Akatsuki members quickly" Neji stated as well.
"Yeah, but now let's regroup with the sand shinobi. They should know what to do now, that the Kazekage is dead" Kakashi stated.
When they heard about the dead Kazekage, everybody could feel guilt in themselves as they failed to save not only the Kazekage but a close friend to Naruto.
Without noticing there surrounding slowly changed back to a sandy area again. Looking forward Sakura could see the many sand shinobi waiting for them. Running to the middle of the group, they came face to face with Temari, who had a worried face. Heading to the middle, they slowly and carefully put the Kazekage's body to the ground.
Tear's streaming on her face, Temari kneeled to the ground and was sobbing on the dead brother of hers. All around the Kazekage were silent sobs of the shinobi, mourning their dead leader.
Kneeling next to Temari, Sakura put her hand on her shoulder and said "I'm sorry but we tried"
"*sniff* It's ok, but what about the Akatsuki," Temari asked.
"One is dead and the other one has gone" Sakura stated.
"Excuse me but I think I can save him" called an elderly voice.
Looking at the source of the voice which revealed to be an old lady.
"Chiyo, what are you doing here" Temari shouted in surprise.
"I'm here to do my duty and Sakura here proved me wrong of my Grandson's poison. I have to do this" Chiyo responded.
"Wait what you..." Sakura couldn't say anything as Chiyo put her hands on the Kazekage's body and light began to illuminate.
The light growing brighter and brighter by the second, suddenly stopped and everyone could look back at the Kazekage. The body of the Kazekage began to breathe.
Stepping forward, Sakura began to check for a pulse on the Kazekage.
"He's alive!" Sakura shouted.
Looking next to the Kazekage was the body of Chiyo. While Sakura went to check on Chiyo, Temari, and other sand shinobi including Kankuro who've recovered from the poison. Checking on Chiyo, all she could find was that she was dead.
'She used some jutsu to revive the Kazekage' Sakura thought.
"Gaara, Gaara you're awake," Temari said.
Looking at the Kazekage, Sakura can confirm that Gaara was awake.
"Where *groan* is I," Gaara said.
"You're near the sand village" Temari replied.
"And the Akatsuki?" Gaara questioned.
"One is dead and another one left" Sakura barged in.
"Do you feel anything weird?"
"I just don't feel the Biju inside me, it's weird" Gaara answered.
Everyone was surprised but was upset that the Akatsuki had succeeded and are now closer to their goals.
"But other than that, how did you kill the Akatsuki?" Gaara asked.
"About that. We didn't kill them, something else did" Kakashi answered.
"Who?" Temari asked.
"This huge grey thing and it made loud bangs and then the Akatsuki were dead or gone," Rock Lee said.
"Do you know where it is?" Gaara asked, intrigued like the other shinobi around them.
Hearing a familiar roar from the distance, Kakashi could only respond with "I think it's heading our way"
With that, every shinobi got ready, not in attacking position, but where ready if anything were to happen.
"There they are," Gordo said as they were on top of a sandy hill.
"Yeah they're waiting for us," Naruto said.
Gordo, stopping the tank, and looked back at War Daddy, waiting for the next order.
"I guess we go to them" War Daddy shrugged.
A second later, Gordo drove the tank forward the large group of shinobi. Once close enough to see the faces of the shinobi, they too began to look in awe at the huge machine in front of them.
After weaving through the shinobi, the crew stopped in front of the group of shinobi that they helped back at the mountain. Looking at the scope of the tank, Naruto could see the red-haired person being supported by a woman in black. To the right of them were Sakura and Kakashi. Seeing that they were not doing anything as they were just observing, Naruto went to the hatch above. A hand grabbed his arm, looking to who the hand belonged to, he saw War Daddy giving him a look.
"It's alright, I should know them, and they too," Naruto said.
"Ok" War Daddy responded and let go of Naruto's arm.
Opening the hatch, he could snicker as he heard multiple people gasp in anticipation. Getting both of hands out, earning more gasps, and put them on the side of the hatch. Slowly pushing himself out, he began to take deep breaths from the cool fresh air and wiping the sweat off his face. Looking down, he could see Sakura and Kakashi's face. Wide from shock and remembrance, tears nearly forming. Then looking at the red-haired person, he realized that it was Gaara and his sister was next to him and behind them was Kankuro, their brother. And they were also in shock at the sight of someone who they've been searching for years. Even Team Guy was still.
"Hey there, been a while huh," Naruto said.
"N-Naruto," Sakura said.
"Yup," Naruto said, bluntly.
"And here I thought... that you were dead," Sakura said tears escaping from her.
"Uh, huh. Hey there Gaara, haven't seen you since the exams" Naruto said, changing focus to the red-haired kid.
"Naruto. Was that you who saved me back there?" Gaara asked.
"Yes along with some help" Naruto responded while grinning.
"You can come out now, they ain't going to do anything," Naruto said.
A few more hatches popped out and more figures emerged from the machine.
"Oh my fucking God, it was hot in there," Gordo said, wiping off sweat from his head.
"Ah, don't swear at your lord, don't wanna see you go straight" Bible berated.
"Hush up now, don't wanna confuse these little children here now," Grady said.
Snickering, Naruto looked back to the group of shinobi in front of him and said.
"Looks like I'm back"
