S.V: I am Glad I brought you such enjoyment.

T3ddyBearL0ve: I've tried to make the journey fun and emotionally churning. I wanted to give Sonic and Sally a chance to heal and make up. I also felt like I did Sally a little dirty in Band Of Liars, and didn't want to appear as though I hated her character(because I do not).

Now, these stories are not connected. If you want a sequel or something to Shattered…well write it yourself.

Fiona sat in the shade. She liked it there. It was cool, and out of sight. No one would ever look there. Of course, she wasn't exactly cool.

The fire burned as Sergeant Simian sat down, Drago Wolf, his lieutenant, sat to his left.

"We will move north. The Freedom Fighters will have trouble tracking us there." Simian commanded.

"You aren't exactly the boss anymore. And besides, the freedom fighters are occupied fighting the old fat guy. We could pillage till our hearts content." Proposed Lightning Lynx.

Simian growled, "How long will they be distracted before they focus on us?"

Drago stepped in, saving Fiona the trouble, "We should wait till Scourge gets back. We go no where without him."

Lynx glared at Simian, before they both shrugged.

Suddenly, a strange grunting sound echoed from the bushes to Fiona's left, at the edge on the clearing. A snout poked through, sniffing the ground, as though they didn't even exist.

Drago smiled, "See, entertainment comes. This guy appears to be feral, watch."

Fiona felt…off. "Drago, watch yourself." She warned. That snout evoked a fear she didn't yet understand, but her gut had gotten pretty good at keeping her alive.

Drago took out a protein stick, and waved it a few feet from the bush. The nose stopped swaying, and sniffed. The bush seemed to part, bigger…and bigger. What emerged was brown body with a massive black splotch of fur on its back. A feral box shaped( or bear-like) snout, and paws that were just enough mobian to grab. Powerful arms, and large legs, but the beast crawled on all fours.

It sniffed out the protein stick, and blue eyes looked up at Drago. The beast cocked it's head.

"Drago, don't piss it off." Simian commanded, he sounded nervous.

Drago rolled his eyes. If Fiona and Simian thought it was dangerous, then it wasn't just a hunch. "Relax. Watch."

Drago waved the protein stick in front of the beast's face. The beast snapped, but as it tried to bite the meaty stick, Drago pulled it away and slapped the beast. Everyone except Fiona and Simian laughed. This was childish entertainment at best.

The Creature recoiled, before looking curiously at the Protein stick. A low growl emerged from its throat.

Drago held the stick out and the creature sniffed the air before it's stance…changed. It seemed to broaden out its shoulders, and went in for another bite.

Drago pulled the stick back and slapped the beast again. Lightning Lynx roared.

Sergeant Simian stood up, "That's enough!"

Fiona looked at the Gorilla. He seemed especially on edge. Yeah, this was annoying, but not anything different than what they did to villagers and wild life.

Dragon growled, annoyed by Simian's outburst, "Come on, what's the harm? He's an idiot, and brain dead imbecile. A savage. He's not going to do anything."

"That's a wolverine." Simian growled as Dragon lowered the stick of meat down for the third time. The wolverine was frozen…. It looked different. It's eyes… Fiona shivered. Weren't they blue, why were they red? Why did the white turn black?

Drago snickered, "Come on, you can get it."

The wolverine was glaring at him, its mouth began to froth. Saliva began to drip as the jaw lowered, revealing a set of very large teeth. The kind for crushing bone.

Fiona stepped up, her heart was racing, but not naturally. It was like she hit with a fear serum.

Even Drago was laughing nervously, as the pendulum of meat stopped. The Wolverine's hind legs supported an upper body, which rose to a bi-pedal stance. Its- his arms outstretched to convey size. The wolverine lunged, but missed the meat stick completely. His jaw slammed on top of Drago's head.

The Wolf shrieked, "Get him off mmmmmph." The Beast adjusted his jaws to close Drago's mouth, clamping down as the pressure began to increase on Drago's skull.

Lightning Lynx surged forward, behind and Fiona did the same as Sergeant Simian ran and tried to wedge the Wolverine off. Fiona and Lynx kicked the back legs.

The Wolverine dropped onto his knees, but his mouth jerked. A sickening squelch and shatter was heard, and Fiona's mind snapped out of combat mode. Blood and skull matter scattered on the ground, and the wolverine rose.

"Everyone, back up, now!" Sergeant Simian Commanded. Fiona jumped off, and Lightning followed her lead. Simian knew what they were up against. Maybe they could run.

"Do not convey weakness. It makes them think you are easy prey." Simian commanded.

"Prey? What are we, back to primal animals?" Fiona muttered, watching as The Wolverine tore into Drago's headless corpse.

"I've only got legends to work with." Simian admitted, "Hopefully, he'll get his fill and leave us alone. These guys are tough."

Great Fiona scowled internally. Her internal annoyance was replaced by nausea as she saw he ate not only the meat, but tore into and crunched on bones…. Until he stopped. The Wolverine looked up at them.

Simian donned an assault stance, his fists out.

The Wolverine rose, blood dripping from it's maw with malicious intent, and it roared violently, spewing blood and saliva all over the camp.

Simian lunged forward to attack, and Lynx moved to flank. Fiona ran slid around and kicked the Wolverine in the side as Lightning kicked him in the back.

The Beast growled and turned, giving Simian enough time to slam a fist into his face, stunning the small-bear.

The Wolverine turned its body…but something was off. It was facing Simian but-

Lightning slammed into the ground. He had gone for another rear attack, but the tail had caught him. The Wolverine stepped on the lynx, who was as shocked as Fiona that it had out-

The beast had a universal grin on his face. Fiona felt her heart beat uncontrollably. Drago was wrong, this guy might be savage, or feral, or what ever you want to call it, but he wasn't stupid.

The Wolverine's muscles seemed to grow, and he stomped on Lightning's chest.

Simian roared, and threw a punch, but the damage was done. Lighting was bleeding out his mouth, Fiona… she didn't know what to do. She began to crawl away, turning only to see Simian on the ground, with the Wolverine's mouth around his neck.

He look so panicked. Death was not something that occurred often. But it occurred so quickly, with a jerk of the Wolverine's body, Simian collapsed.

Fiona crawled, "Scourge, Damn it, where are you? Help me. No, no, no."

She could feel the Wolverine's breath on her back.

She rolled over. The Beast had a smile… a sick smile. He raised a paw, a lightly punted her, and she rolled down, into the river bank, barely keeping herself from being swept away by grabbing a rock. The Beast crawled back on all fours, it's black and red eyes seeming to boast victory. Fiona couldn't deny it, either.

It got there, and Fiona waited for the finish blow… but it never came. Instead, the Beast, had a large, old log in his mouth. He set it down in front of her, and she quickly grabbed it and began coast down the river.

Why? Was it being merciful… no. Those eyes weren't merciful, not like Sonic's or Tails'. They were cruel. He wanted the world to know he existed, and corpse couldn't spread the word.

Now, I am going on leave for personal reasons. I won't be back for at least a week, but I do intend to post this story at some point during the summer.
