Hey guys, welcome to the annual Halloween story! This year, I'm going to be focusing on Tokyo Mew Mew, thanks to the poll's results on Deviantart! Now, what do I have in mind for this Halloween? Well, while this is mostly set-up, I will tell you that the Mew Mews exploring outer space is going to be a big concept for this one! That's all I can say for now, so here's the beginning! Slight note, the events and characters of Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode will appear here, but not to worry, they're just near the beginning of the story. Well, let's get right down to it! Anyway, enjoy!
It all started as a regular, busy day in the streets of Tokyo, Japan. If, by regular, one meant that a giant monster was seen flying around the city, destroying and wrecking the first building it saw, sending civilians to a screaming panic, then, it was quite normal.
"RIBBON PUDDING RING INFERNO!"
That was the sound of a little girl who had just sent an energy wave towards the monster, engulfing it into a pudding-like force field, freezing the monster in place.
The little girl, known as Mew Pudding, gave a giggle as she turned towards her friend and leader with a swift nod.
The pink haired cat girl took that as her cue as she held out her hands. "Strawberry Bell!"
The heart shaped bell appeared in her arms as she started to twirl around before lowering the bell down. "RIBBON STRAWBERRY SURPRISE!"
A wave of light came through as it started to dissolve the large creature, devolving it as it separated itself into two objects... a harmless beetle, and a small jellyfish creature that had turned the beetle into that monster in the first place.
A small pink floating object came out of the pink haired cat girl's pocket as it noted the small blob floating around. "Mmmm... Para Para!"
The object, known as Masha, came in and easily swallowed the Para Para with no problem before floating back to the cat girl with ease. Mew Ichigo gave a nod before motioning to the small child next to her to follow. Mew Pudding gave a nod back as the two went off and vanished before the news crew could make an arrival.
Though they missed the Mew Mews leaving, the news crew still set up everything as the news anchor/reporter was speaking to the camera, "And so it appears that once again, Tokyo Mew Mew has defeated another deadly creature. Though one knows not where the creatures originate, we all know we'll be safe thanks to this wonderful team. But a question still remains... can these half animal, half human creatures be able to withstand anything? Is there an opponent that has yet to be taken down by this team?"
Ichigo gave another groan as she was now back in her regular attire, rubbing her head with a cloth to get rid of the sweat forming around it. "It's strange, but these Chimera Animas keep coming in at least once a day."
"They have become a little more frequent in the recent days, na no da." Pudding said, giving a slight stretch. "Still, you can't complain, Ichigo onee-chan! There can't be more than... a few monsters left?"
Ichigo lowered her eyelids as she looked at her young friend. "I wish I could think that... I don't get it, though. Ever since Kisshu, Pai and Taruto left AND ever since we managed to reverse the hypnotism the Saint Rose Crusaders laid out on the townsfolk, it seems the amount of Chimera Animas could only have grown tenfold."
Pudding noted the concerned look on Ichigo's face as she gave a slight frown. "You don't think the Saint Rose Crusaders are still out there, do you?"
"I haven't heard from them since the hypnotism scheme failed. Even Berry says they haven't done any more attacks since she and Tasuku started going out with each other." Ichigo shrugged.
"Hm..." Pudding paused as she fell silent as she looked up at the sky. The red haired girl couldn't help but notice her friend's quiet look.
"You're... still thinking about Taruto, aren't you?" Ichigo grinned. "I can tell."
"I... suppose so." Pudding said as she looked down. "It's just... it's been too long since I've seen him last, and I often wonder, is he still thinking of me? Do you think he still remembers us after a year?"
Ichigo paused as she patted her young friend on the back before Pudding looked over to her friend. "Hey, Ichigo? Do you still think of Kisshu?"
Ichigo's eyes widened in shock. Pudding noted the look and waved her arms. "I don't mean all the bad stuff. I mean when he protected you and all that, proving himself to be good... do you think of him?"
"Oh..." The red haired girl paused as she looked up at the sky. "It's... complicated. Yeah, I still think of him, but he's just... what's the word? Pushy? Insensitve? A jerk?"
"Wow..." Pudding winced.
"But yeah, at the end of the day, he's not such a bad person at heart... just a little... crazy." Ichigo said. "Besides, he knows and understands that I'm still with Aoyama-san!"
"That's not what you mumble in your dreams." Pudding smirked.
Ichigo's eyes widened in shock again as Pudding giggled. "Yeah, don't think I haven't noticed you nodding off after a long school day in the locker rooms. You mention Kisshu's name at least once or twice when you nod off."
Ichigo blushed furiously as she stammered. "Well... see I... well... that is, uh... uh, what I mean..."
The red haired girl stopped stammering as she narrowed her eyes at the little girl. "Maybe part of me still misses him, but I still can't forget all the terrible things he did, and I'm not talking about the Chimera Animas either. Look, can we not talk about Kisshu or Cyniclons? I don't want all this space talk right now."
"Okay, okay. I can respect that." Pudding smiled as she started to skip off. "Come on, let's go back to work! Ryou's probably waiting for us by now!"
Ichigo nodded before following the little girl, but not before pausing as she looked back up in the sky, wondering where Kisshu was now...
Little did she or anybody realize was that above orbit, in a fancy spaceship following the Earth's rotation, someone was watching Ichigo from a monitor as said person put a hand on the monitor. Said person took a deep breath.
"Ichigo..." That person said as he looked down... before shaking his head. "Focus, Kisshu. I have a mission to attend to. I just need to wait for the right timing..."
With that, the green haired elf eared alien looked back towards two empty seats as he gave a nod. "Pai, Taruto, don't worry... I'm getting help from the only people I trust..."
And with that, the first chapter is done! How did you guys like it? Next time, an alien abduction is about to go underway, and a slight reunion between a certain catgirl and a green haired alien is about to go... well, you'll see. More to come this Halloween, so don't miss out! Anyway, read, review, criticize and suggest, folks!
