Time for the next chapter of the story! Anyway, enjoy!

A little while later, outside a sushi restaurant, the young Japanese girl was waiting outside as she gave a small sigh. As of current, she was wearing a light green dress that went down to her knees, and her hair was done in a bob with two sticks sticking out of each end. She also had some eyeshadow on as she was looking into a compact mirror, making sure she applied it right. Once she was satisfied, she put the mirror back as she looked around, looking rather nervous...

"Ah, there you are, my dear. You look perfectly exquisite tonight."

Lee Lee's ears perked as she turned to see Dexter walking over to her, a confident smile on his face. Looking rather relieved, Lee Lee gave a giggle. "You look pretty handsome yourself, shorty."

Dexter raised an eyebrow towards the tall girl, before giving a light chuckle. "Yes, yes, very cute banter you have, Lees. Anyway, sorry I ran late. I had a little pest control problem, but it's all taken care of..." Dexter paused as he looked around, before sighing in relief. "For the most part."

Lee Lee couldn't help but give a smile. "Well, you're not late at all, Dex. For one thing, you have arrived quite timely."

Dexter smiled as he looked up at the clock, before giving a smile. "So true, so true. Well, shall we?"

Lee Lee noted Dexter extending his hand over to her before giving a giggle as she gripped his hand. "Of course. I don't know about you, but I'm starting to get a little hungry myself."

"I have to admit, Dexter, I knew the first place you picked would be a sushi restaurant for our first date." Lee Lee pointed out as the two of them were sitting in their seats and were now waiting on their food.

Dexter looked up in concern. "Is that a problem?"

"No, not at all. In fact, I love sushi." Lee Lee giggled. "It's just, I didn't think you'd appreciate fine Japanese culture."

"Well, after spending some time in Japan on that foreign exchange program AND learning about the various cultures, I figured it only made sense to tell you what I learned about your culture... through the power of experiencing it throughout the date." Dexter smiled. "I mean, they can't all be epic adventures, right?"

Lee Lee giggled as she shifted her position. "I suppose not. But still, I'm really grateful that you went through all this for me."

"Yeah..." Dexter paused as he gave a small sigh. "I think I may have revealed a little too much in front of my parents before I left."

Lee Lee raised an eyebrow. "They figured out your secret about the lab? I hope you didn't erase their memories again, Dexter. I mean, there's only so much you can do before eventually, they could forget about their lives."

"Hey, at least I have a reset button!" Dexter argued... before giving a sigh. "Sorry, sorry. No, they don't know about the lab... thank goodness. No, I think they're getting suspicious that I've been going out a lot, mostly to see you."

"Aww, Dexter..." Lee Lee looked over to the young boy in sympathy. "You're not ashamed of me, are you?"

"Now why would I ever be ashamed to be hanging out with a girl who understands me, who helps when I need help?" Dexter sighed. "It's just... you've respected the secret so well and kept being patient with me even after we agreed to meet in secret to various places."

"You're always so busy, Dexter, you let yourself get too strained out." Lee Lee said with a giggle as she rubbed Dexter's head. The boy looked a bit annoyed at first, before giving a sigh, feeling a bit content as it was Lee Lee who was rubbing his head.

"I guess..." Dexter sighed. "Sometimes, I feel like the only friends I have is science, my lab... and well, of course, you."

"Awww..." Lee Lee smiled as she put her arm around Dexter. "Of course cute you would think of me."

"Okay, woman, cut it out." Dexter said in pure annoyance, before shaking his head. "It's hard, you know, keeping a lot of secrets and all."

"Well, you know eventually, there's going to come a time when you can't keep secrets forever, right?" Lee Lee asked. "Sometime soon, your mom and dad are bound to know about your lab."

"Like they had a couple times before I erased those memories... do you know the reactions they had when I showed them the lab willingly the first time before I wiped their memories. Disappointment! Anger! They wanted to have a long talk with me about the lab in the first place. And honestly... I'm hoping to keep it a secret until it's already too late for them to punish me." Dexter explained. "I'm just thankful Dee Dee doesn't just straight up take my parents to the secret lab... the only thing I appreciate my sister for."

"Hey, your sister happens to be my friend." Lee Lee said with a confident smirk as the waiter arrived with a few plates of sushi. "Thank you. I had the mix of tuna sushi and salmon sushi."

"Hoso maki and wasabi was mine." Dexter said to the waiter as both plates were put in front of them.

"Domo arigato. Dōzo omeshiagarikudasai." The waiter bowed before walking off.

As Dexter took some chopsticks and carefully picked up one piece of sushi with them before dipping it in the wasabi. Lee Lee noted Dexter about to place the dipped sushi in his mouth. "Uh, Dexter, you do know that wasabi is..."

"Spicy? No worries. I put in an untested heat pill in my mouth this morning. This little invention allows me to eat all dipped spicy foods without having the feel of spicy taste in your mouth or orifices." Dexter said as he put the sushi in his mouth and chewed it, savoring the flavor before swallowing it. After a few seconds, Dexter snapped his fingers. "You see? Nothing to it."

"Have I ever told you lately that you are amazing, Dexter?" Lee Lee said, looking rather impressed.

"With an attitude like that, I'm surprised I didn't make you my lab assistant sooner. At the very least, you have more brains than Dee Dee had." Dexter smirked.

"Hey!" Lee Lee frowned, as if offended, before giving a smile. "You do have a point, though. Anyway, I know it's hard to keep things a secret, but eventually, it takes time for everything to adjust... if they see just how much you enjoyed working in the lab, they'd completely let you keep it."

Dexter sighed as he chewed his food, before swallowing. "Well, I don't want to worry about that right now. Because I just want to make this night about you, me and the study of what I learned about Japanese culture. So, come on? After dinner, why don't I take you somewhere where I can teach you what I know about... culture?"

"Oooo... Dexter..." Lee Lee giggled in a girly fashion as they enjoyed their meal to the fullest.
