(The Arena)
The ten remaining fighters all anticipated the start of the seventh section, as it felt like a transition, we weren't really at the beginning anymore, we were approaching the middle of the tournament, just a few more sections to go until we got there.
Just then, the light beamed down on the Entrance Curtain, signifying the start of a new section.
"MAI SHIRANUI!" (KOFXIV)
The male fans in the crowd went crazy for the red-clad ninja, who ignored all of it as she eyed Bowser Jr., who was relaxing in his Clown Car. Deciding to be subtle, Mai swiftly ran down to the ring and sneakily approached Bowser Jr..
Once close enough, she got out one of her fans and raised it up. "SUFFER!"
Unfortunately for Mai, her yell alerted Bowser Jr., who quickly saw her fan and used one of Clown Car's arms to clock her and back away.
"Whoa! What's the big idea, lady!? Can't you see I was taking a break!?"
Mai rolled her eyes. "This isn't time for breaks! I saw what you did these past few sections, and while I still would've gone after you normally, you being a Smash character makes it even worse!"
Bowser Jr. scratched his head. "How is being a Smash character worse."
Mai smirked. "Let's just say I'm not too happy with Smash right now, now get ready! 'Cause here I come!"
"CAMMY WHITE!" (SFV)
Once again, the fanboys were going wild for the green-clad blonde woman as she tried to be respectful and smile at the cheers she was getting.
Eyes already locked on a target, Cammy ran over to where Venom and Isaac were.
Isaac used the Stasis Module to subdue Venom in place before shooting him with his Plasma Cutter, this didn't deter him that much as he grabbed the engineer and tosses him up, he the sprouted a spike on his back, looking to impale Isaac.
"Spiral Arrow!"
Cammy spun at Venom and managed to knock hit him multiple times, allowing Isaac to land on his feet once he caught himself.
Venom snarled. "Looks like we have another mind to devour! Let you join the one who helped cost us our revenge!"
"I don't think so, Brock." Cammy then turned to Isaac.
"You ready?"
Isaac smirked under his helmet. "Yeah, I've been holding back long enough, time to bring out some new and bigger toys."
"FALCO LOMBARDI!" (SSB)
The hotshot member of Star Fox came out to decent cheers as he crossed him arms, looking for an opponent.
Finding one he used Falco Phantasm to quickly clear the ramp, allowing to fire shots at his chosen opponent, which was Metal Sonic.
The shots didn't seem to affect the robotic version of Sonic so much as annoy him, activated his thrusters, he flew to Falco.
"You looking for trouble, bird?"
Falco smirked, spinning his blaster. "Oh-ho! No, but I'm afraid it just found you."
"ZIDANE TRIBAL!" (DFFNT)
The crowd thunderously cheered for the protagonist of Final Fantasy IX, who smirked at the cheers he was getting.
Deciding to play up to the crown, he spun around his Mage Mashers to more cheers, before taking them apart and hopping into the ring.
"Alright! Time to show my awesome fans what I'm made of!"
Running to where Rosa and Jade were fighting, Zidane jumped in between them, and knocked away Rosa's katana.
Rosa took a surprised step back. "What are you doing, kid? This doesn't concern you, I need to get revenge for my nodal companion."
Zidane shrugged. "Sorry, but I wanted a fight, and there wasn't many options. How about I help you fight her off? She seems like she could be a challenge."
Rosa scoffed before shrugging. "I suppose you can help, but I'm getting the elimination when we win."
Jade, who basically had no say in this, simply shook her head before smirking. "Looks like I'm back in a 2v1 situation, hopefully this one will be harder."
"ALOLAN NINETALES!" (PKMN)
The Ice/Fairy type version of the Pokémon Ninetales came out to moderate cheers as it cutely and elegantly walked down to the ring.
As it entered, it noticed Kula skating over, eyes glistening in awe.
"You. Are. So. BEAUTIFUL! Wow! I've never seen anything as amazing as you!"
Alolan Ninetales blushed before looking around, not seeing any opponent for now, it gestured at Kula that it wanted to fight.
Kula gasped. "A fight? Oh, I don't know…..Well, I guess so, not like any damage will be permanent, okay, let's go!"
"BANDEIRAS HATTORI!" (KOFXIV)
The Brazilian ninja took a few seconds to psyche himself up, before bursting out of the Ready Room and racing down the entrance ramp. He immediately realized that Greninja was eliminated and lamented that before spotting Jade now fighting off Zidane and Rosa.
Deducing that if he helped her, he could fight her, Bandeiras raced over to her side, finding an opening in Rosa's sword slashes before striking her with his hand.
Rosa just groaned. "Oh, great."
Jade simply turned to Bandeiras, somewhat amused. "I take it you want to a fight?"
Bandeiras nodded his head somewhat rapidly. "Oh, yes! It would be an honor to fight a ninja from Mortal Kombat! And while I was hoping for Scorpion or Sub-Zero, you'll do just fine!"
Jade playfully rolled her eyes, before turning back to Zidane and Rosa. "Very well, keep your wits about you and I'll grant you your request."
"And now, Mystery…..Fighter…..Number…..FOURTEEN!"
"KING OLLY!" (Paper Mario: The Origami King)
Waving his blonde hair back, the origami figure gave a laugh as he floated down to the ring.
"Ah, no toads around, good. Can't stand to look at the dreadful beings for more than a second."
He then approached the only fighter not preoccupied, Talbain, who had looked a little skeptical at Olly as he approached.
"I don't mean to talk lightly of you, but you're paper. Paper than I can tear to shreds with my claws."
Olly just laughed at this, before casting a glare at the werewolf. "You think I don't know that? I wouldn't challenge you if I had known I couldn't beat you! Let's see your claws tear through this!"
Olly then summoned four magic circles, one green, one blue, one red, and one light blue, before spinning them, when it stopped, Olly moved forward onto the green one, which glowed before Olly himself began to unfold and transform.
A bright light surrounded Olly, when it disappeared in Olly's place was a purple version of the Earth Vellumental from his home game, except it also had Olly's blonde hair.
"What in the world…?" Was all Jon Talbain had to say before he steeled himself and got ready to fight.
"Whatever you are, I'll take you down!"
(Random Node Generator Room)
The random node generator portal began shaking before spitting Juri and Kano, who both seemed out of breath.
"I don't know about you, girl, but that felt way longer than ten minutes." Huffed Kano.
Juri got up to her feet, looking at the still down Ash Crimson, who was beginning to wake up.
"Agreed. Also, thanks, I guess."
"Don't mention it."
Seeing Ash beginning to stir, Juri brought her foot down hard on his head, ensuring he stayed knocked out for a few more minutes.
"Wonder what happened to him." Said Kano, just now noticing Ash.
Juri shrugged. "No idea, but whatever it was, I'm sure it was deserved. Come on, let's look for a lead to Bison's plans."
Opening the door to the room, the unlikely pair walked out, only to be met with a rapidly running Toon Zelda, Link, Zelda and Lana in tow.
"Come on, let's try the hotel!" Said Toon Zelda with concern in her voice.
Watching the quartet run off, Juri gained a big smirk on her face.
"Looks like we just found our lead, come on!"
(The Arena)
"WHIP!" (KOFXIV)
Cracking her namesake weapon on the entrance ramp, the brown-haired member of the Ikari Warriors slowly approached the ring, realizing something as she entered.
"Dangit, I'm without an opponent, looks like I'm stuck waiting for one."
Cracking her whip again, Whip turned toward the entrance ramp, looking to start a fight with the first person next person who entered.
"RICHTER BELMONT!" (SSB)
Now it was the female fans turn to go wild as the brown-haired vampire hunter and descendant of Simon Belmont came out onto the entrance ramp.
Whip's face was unamused as she watched Richter come down into the ring.
"Hello there, miss. Why are you just standing here?"
Whip motioned toward the rest of the ring. "Take a look around you."
Doing what she said, Richter looked around and slowly realized what this meant as he turned towards Whip.
"Oh, well, alright then! Let's go! Say, what's your name?"
"Just call me Whip." Whip said as brandished her namesake weapon, causing Richter to laugh a little.
"You call that a whip?" Richter said as some fans (Including Whip herself) groaned.
He then lashed out with his own Whip, barely missing his opponent.
"That's a whip!"
Whip could only cringe at the reference as she and Richter got into position.
"MEDLI!" (HW)
The young Rito and Sage of Earth came out to a decent amount of cheers, flashing a small smile she waved at the fans who were cheering.
Holding her Rito Harp close to her she ran down the entrance ramp and quickly approached Fi and Rinoa.
"So, you will join us?" Medli heard Fi ask Rinoa.
Rinoa and Angelo nodded. "You bet, that Bison is going down! We'll also tell Squall about this!"
Medli tilted her head at this, she then turned to Fi. "Fi, what's going on?"
Fi could only close her eyes as she sighed. "I'm trying to get people to join the fight against Bison, he's after the Triforce pieces."
Medli gasped and widened her eyes at this information. "Triforce pieces! Why is the Triforce in pieces?!"
Rinoa then stepped in, hoping to save this conversation for later. "It's a long story, but hey! How about a little 2v2? We both have people we need to get back to, how about we see who goes and who stays to get more people on our side?"
Fi nodded and looked to Medli in a sympathetic manner. "I promise to tell you everything after this fight, now shall we?"
Medli looked unsure for a second before nodding and turning to Rinoa and Angelo. "Yes, we shall."
"DHALSIM!" (SFV)
The Indian master of Yoga outstretched himself before going back to his original, legs crossed pose, paying the audience no mind, he floated to the ring.
He then immediately saw that there was no one to fight, electing to wait for the next fighter, he floated over to turnbuckle and closed in eyes in meditation.
He then suddenly opened his eyes. "I sense a very dark presence soon to enter, I must be prepared for whoever it may be."
"ZENOS Yae GALVUS!" (DFFNT)
Dhalsim nodded at the name as he looked to the Entrance Curtain, seeing the scary-looking armored man laugh at the screaming fans close to him.
"See this? This is what people like me strive for, I can generate screams just by appearing, imagine what I can generate when I show just what I am capable of."
Spinning his Sword Revolver, (Yes, you read right) Zenos stopped it and pulled out one of three katanas, his Ame-no-Habakiri, and stepped into the ring.
Seeing Dhalsim resting on a turnbuckle, Zenos saw him an easy target as he charged forward.
"Orochi!"
Looking to dash forward and slice and dice Dhalsim down to size, Zenos was surprised when Dhalsim elongated his foot and send it at him, to which he simply moved to the side.
"Foul person, I will not let you bring harm to anyone else!"
Zenos laughed. "This stretchy old man thinks he can stop me? Ha! Very well, I shall humor you…."
"ZERO SUIT SAMUS ARAN!" (SSB)
Normally, going crazy for Samus wasn't exactly common as she was always in her Power Suit, but this time they went wild for the blonde woman as she came out in her Zero Suit.
"Wearing my Power Suit has gotten me far in the past, but let's see how I fare in my Zero Suit, besides, I could use a change of pace."
Entering the ring, Samus readied her Paralyzer and fired a few shots at Zenos, stunning him and allowing Dhalsim to kick him in the face.
As Zenos rubbed his jaw, he saw Samus jumping at him, when he got ready to catch her, she changed her form and quickly launched herself off him.
"Should have stayed in that armor of yours, mobility isn't always better."
Samus narrowed her eyes. "Perhaps, but it can help me dodge anything you throw at me."
Noting her words, Zenos looked to see Dhalsim approach his other side, looking between the two fighters who opposed him, he smirked.
"So this is my opposition? Hmph, so be it, I shall see to both of your eliminations."
"And now, Mystery…..Fighter…..Number…..FIFTEEN!"
"THE SPIRIT!" (Dead By Daylight)
If the fans hadn't had enough to scream about, they certainly did now.
Coming out of the Ready Room was a ghostly looking girl with her hair seemingly sticking upwards, with glass shards impaled all over her body, and some of her limbs looked to be severed and floating in place, and to finally wrap up this scary package, she twitched and contorted every few seconds.
Letting out a small laugh she suddenly disappeared, DBD fans in the crowd knew this as her power, Yamaoka's Haunting.
Just then, a scream was heard as The Spirit reappeared in the ring, having phase walked all the way down the ramp.
Looking around, she saw that she didn't have an opponent, she stared for a few seconds before a grin appeared on her face as she turned toward the Entrance Curtain.
"CHARMY BEE!" (StH)
The energetic bee and member of Team Chaotix came out excitedly to a mixed reception, not that it fazed him, in fact he seemed to be ignoring them entirely.
"Alright! New tournament? New cool people to fight!"
After he finished he flew down to the ring, and quickly spotted Metal Sonic fighting off Falco, and decided to lend a hand.
Unbeknownst to Charmy, The Spirit was mere inches from slashing him with a glass shard that was impaled in her arm, thankfully he flew off before she could do this.
Charmy tackled Metal Sonic with a surprising amount of force, launching the robotic version of Sonic right into a hit from Falco's reflector, sending him sprawling to the floor.
"Thanks." Falco said.
"No problem! I always jump at the chance to take down one of Eggman's bad guys!"
Metal Sonic in response to this, simply slammed his fist into the canvas.
"ELEKTRA!" (MN:ROTI)
Another woman for the fanboys to fawn over, despite being much more than that, Elektra twirled her sais as looked out at the ring.
"Looks like my only opponent is that freaky ghost girl….Eh, better than nothing, I could help those two with Venom but they seem like they got it handled."
Racing down the ramp, Elektra kicked at The Spirit, who caught her foot and flipped her back.
Spinning her sais, Elektra stabbed at The Spirit, only for the ghost girl to not react at all.
"What?" Was all Elektra could say before Rin used her power to disappear, although the red-clad woman already knew where she was going to appear.
Using her sais, Elektra blocked the glass shard slash and again stabbed Rin to no effect, allowing Rin to slash at her cheek.
Holding her now bleeding cheek, Elektra gave a sinister laugh.
"Okay, ghost girl, now you're asking for it."
(Dome; Hallways near Hyrule Warriors Locker Room)
"So, dearest Ghirahim, we shall wait until someone comes out and then we engage in combat?" Asked Kuja.
"Yes, and hopefully, we'll have what we're after! A few of those precious Triforce pieces! Say, we may not even have to give them to Bison, we can keep them for ourselves."
This caught Kuja's attention, before a wicked smile graced his face. "Oh, what a fool I am! I didn't even consider double-crossing that oaf Bison! Nice thinking, dearest Ghirahim."
Ghirahim laughed at Kuja's words. "Oh, don't worry about it, it only just crossed my mind as well! Who needs Bison? We can pull this off ourselves!"
"Not if we have anything to say about it!"
Suddenly Blaze and Silver appeared from behind a corner, having likely listened to everything.
Ghirahim let out an annoyed sigh. "Should've known someone would spy on us, what do you want, cretins?"
Blaze smirked. "We want to make sure you don't lay a hand on anyone in that Locker Room, and even if impossible, we want to expose how disployal you two are!"
Kuja piped in. "They would never believe you! And you really believe you can stop us? Oh that's a laugh! Come, dearest Ghirahim, let us show these pests the way out of here."
Ghirahim laughed, sticking his tongue out. "Couldn't have said it better myself, Kuja."
Silver and Blaze looked at each other, nodding before getting into fighting stances, they had to keep these two from getting any Triforce pieces.
(The Arena)
"BLUE MARY!" (KOFXIV)
Again, the fanboys went wild for the red and blue clad woman, who simply gave a threatening look to most of the male fans to get them to simply cheer normally.
Mary smirked at getting them to relax. "Works every time."
Reaching the end, Mary immediately looked to aid Mai, running over to the ninja, she got her friend's attention by tapping her shoulder.
"Hey, Mai! Good to see you, need a hand?"
Mai smiled at Mary's presence, as she pointed at Bowser Jr. "Sure! You know who what this kid did these past sections."
Bowser Jr. gulped as Mary slowly turned her head, wide smile on her face.
"Boy, do I know what he did, and let's just say I wasn't a fan of it."
Bowser Jr. cursed his luck as he looked at the smirking Mai and Mary.
"Great, I have to fight both of them."
"BARTZ KLAUSER!" (DFFNT)
The crowd cheered on as the main hero of Final Fantasy V came out of the Ready Room, locked in his own thoughts.
"Exdeath is long gone, that's a relief. Although there's still one bad egg among the bunch, looks like I need to throw that one away." He said as he eyed Zenos.
Raising his sword, the Brave Blade, Bartz quickly stormed down the ramp and lunged at Zenos.
"Mystic Knight!"
Bartz struck Zenos with his sword three times, once with Fire, once with Blizzard, and once with Lightning, the tri-attack hit Zenos and caused him to step back, leaving him open to a Flip Kick from Samus and a fireball from Dhalsim.
"You know this guy?" Samus asked Bartz as the three slowly approached Zenos.
"Not personally, and not too well, but I know what he's capable of, we have to stay on guard."
Dhalsim nodded. "Yes, we must fight as one if we hope to win."
This caught Bartz' attention for a brief second, remembering that as a quote of Terra's, although he figured it didn't really matter as he sent his attention back to Zenos.
"LINKLE!" (HW)
The green clad girl who bore a bit of a resemblance to Link, psyched herself up before energetically hopping out onto the entrance ramp, waving to the fans, she got out her crossbows before running down to the ring.
Much like others who came before her, Linkle saw that everyone was already occupied, leaving her with only one choice, literally.
"So much for starting with momentum, oh well! Let's end this Running Gag!"
Linkle pointed her crossbows at the Entrance Curtain as Grey's voice blared throughout the arena.
"And now, the final fighter of this section…"
"KING DEDEDE!" (SSB)
Spinning his hammer, the large penguin king used his other hand to pat his belly a few times before puffing up and floating down to the ring.
Right as he landed, he was stunned by a arrow hitting his face, he turned to see Linkle, her crossbows raised at him.
King Dedede smirked. "Is that all you got, girlie?"
Linkle smirked right back. "I don't know, come closer and we'll find out."
Seeing as he really couldn't say no, King Dedede spun his hammer around. "Okay, let's see what you have up your sleeve."
