(The Arena)

Eleven fighters remained in the ring, though many of them were new and fresher than most, who had already been in for quite some time. Hearing the crowd cheering. Everyone looked up to see the next fighter.

"MEITENKUN!" (KOFXIV)

Clutching the pillow in his arms tightly up to his face, the sleepy Chinese fighter and best friend of Shun'ei gave a yawn as he sleepily walked down to the ring.

A bemused Falco watched as the sleepy fighter stepped into the ring. Shaking his head, Falco got up and started running at Meitenkun, using Falco Phantasm when he was close enough.

Seeing him coming, Meitenkun charged a bit of energy into his pillow, once Falco was in position he let loose and whacked the avian.

Hitting the canvas, Falco muttered as he got up. "Yep, figured that would be too easy."

Meitenkun managed the most stern glare he could muster in his sleepy state. "I may be, well, me. But I'm not a pushover."

"LUIGI!" (SSB)

Hearing the name announced, Bowser Jr. eyes burst open as he looked up at the entrance ramp.

Indeed, standing at the top of it was the green-clad, younger and infinitely more nervous Mario brother, who waved a bit to the crowd before setting a foot down the ramp. This was quite strange, he didn't normally expect to enter near the beginning of the section as opposed to the middle or the end, but he figured that this wasn't something to let bother him for long.

Watching Luigi step into the ring, Bowser Jr. smirked as he retreated into his shell and slowly slid toward Luigi, who was too busy eyeing everyone to really notice.

"You look about as ready for this tournament as you normally do Luigi, what gives? It's always the same with you!" Bowser Jr. said while popping out of his shell, startling the plumber.

Recovering, Luigi glared at the young Koopa. "You-a know? For a prince, you don't act very-a prince-like."

Bowser Jr. shrugged. "Eh, whatever. I wear my title of prince smashingly thank you very much! Now! I WAS going to knock you into that symbiote." He started, pointing at Venom, much to Luigi's fear.

"But, since I'm feeling nice right now, how about you just fight me instead? Better the devil you know than the devil you don't, right?"

Not liking either option, Luigi pondered both options for quite a bit before finally making his decision.

"Fine. I suppose I could fight you for the time being…." He said with a sigh.

Bowser Jr. pumped his fist into the air. "All right! This'll be an easy way to my eighth elimination!"

Luigi shook his head. So much for thinking the kid was being nice…

"JET THE HAWK!" (StH)

The leader of the Babylon Rouges growled as he looked at the small numbered paper in his hand, scrunching it up, he tossed it aside and got on his board.

"Why can I never get a draw close to Sonic!? Seriously!? You're missing out on a BIG draw for your tournament, you silver-haired loser host!"

Riding down to the ring, Jet looked toward Medli, who was currently just standing around playing on her harp. Seeing her as an easy opponent, Jet smirked and rode over.

"You! You should be thankful to even still be in the tournament!"

Medli stopped playing and looked up at Jet, confused. "Why's that?"

Jet crossed his arms in a smug manner. "Because I just have a hunch that if twenty fighters had been eliminated like originally intended. You'd be the last one eliminated!"

Medli stopped to think for a bit, before speaking up again. "I can see your logic, but still, why come over here just to tell me that?"

Jet laughed. "Because I'm going to make things right and send you out of here! People who benefit from last minute twists don't deserve to still be in!"

Medli tilted her head before narrowing her eyes and getting into a stance. "Very well, I'd be more than happy to prove you wrong."

"HOODBLASTER!" (RM)

Coming out onto the entrance ramp was a single Hoodblaster, despite it's status as the most common enemy in it's game as well as one of the easiest to defeat, it seemed oddly confident.

Entering the ring, the lone enemy didn't get a chance to pick it's own opponent as it was approached by a curious Charmy.

"Uh, no offense. But what's a mook like you doing in a tournament like this, aren't you like Jano in that you're limited in attacks?"

The Hoodblaster shook his head, motioned for Charmy to wait, it reached onto it's hat and pushed a button that Charmy didn't notice was there.

The top of the Hoodblaster's hat suddenly transformed into a propeller that latched onto his back and allowed it to fly upward, kind of similar to a Hoodstormer, much to Charmy's surprise.

Letting out a laugh, the Hoodblaster then got out a jar of explosive plum juice and threw it at Charmy, barely missing. This attack drew some resemblance to a Hoodboom.

Finally, the Hoodblaster held out his arm, seconds later a forcefield appeared it, much like a Hoodoo, this finally made Charmy realize what was up with this Hoodblaster.

"This guy has the abilities of some of the other Hoodlums! Cool! But I'm still going to beat you! You Hood…..Hood…..thing!"

(Hyrule Warriors Locker Room)

"Well, this was a bust. What to do now?" Asked Kuja, looking around the empty locker room.

Ghirahim thought for a second before snapping his fingers. "Let's get some intel, surely that hedgehog knows something, he obviously knows about Bison."

Kuja smirked. "Good idea!"

The two walked out of the locker room and looked out to where Silver had been knocked out, only to find him gone.

Narrowing their eyes in slight anger, the two looked back to find Blaze gone as well.

Ghirahim crossed his arms. "Of course, they're gone. We chased a dead end."

Kuja held up his hand. "Not quite, if they're still injured, no doubt they would be on their way to the Recovery Room."

Ghirahim realized this and smiled. "You're right. Well, there's no time to lose. We might even be able to stop them from getting to the Recovery Room."

Nodding to each other, the two immediately took off to catch Silver and Blaze.

(The Arena)

"MAXIMA!" (KOFXIV)

Coming out to decent cheers, the Canadian cyborg paid it no mind as he looked around the ring with a cross look on his face.

"Blast it. Kula just got eliminated, looks like I'm on my own for my time being." He said as he entered the ring, seeing Linkle off to the side, he nodded and walked over.

Linkle fired a few shots at the arena forcefield to check if they were working properly, confirming they were, she nodded with a smile before turning around to see Maxima approaching her.

"You eliminated that big armored swordsman, impressive. I'd like to see that potential, show me." Maxima said as he held up his fists.

Linkle waved off his praise. "Oh, please, he was already severely weakened. I just struck at an opportune time."

"Still, no one is capable of just doing that. Regardless of your true strength, I would like to see you in action."

Wiping off her crossbows, Linkle smiled. "Okay! Let's see how you stand up against my arrows!"

"TIFA LOCKHART!" (DFFNT)

The crowd roared in applause for the black-haired female representative of Final Fantasy VII, who waved to the cheering fans, before pumping her fists together to psyche herself up.

Rinoa, having heard the name being announced, shot another blast at Venom before running over to greet Tifa.

"Tifa! Great to see you! I completely forgot you entered this section!" She exclaimed as Angelo barked in excitement at Tifa, seemingly happy to see her.

Tifa smiled. "It's great to see you too, Rinoa. Oh, and you Angelo." She started before turning to look at Venom. "I couldn't help but notice the situation you two put yourselves in."

Looking back at the symbiote, Rinoa sweatdropped as she turned back to Tifa. "Yeah, I figured maybe I could defeat him, and so far, well, I haven't lost, so that says something."

Tifa shook her head playfully. "Well, I could offer some assistance if you'd like."

Rinoa beamed. "Great! Oh, and there's another thing I need to tell you, I'll say it after we're done with this."

Venom watched the dog and two girls approach him, amused. "These two girls are about to fight us, and they're talking like two high school friends!"

"And now, Mystery…..Fighter…..Number…..SIXTEEN!"

"JACK FROST!" (Rise of the Guardians)

Casually twirling his staff, the newly proclaimed Guardian of Fun stepped out onto the entrance ramp. Looking at the cheering crowd with a smirk, Jack held up his staff. "This one's for you guys!"

With a wave of his hand, Jack created a small flurry that quickly spread throughout the crowd before dissipating into snowflakes, the crowd cheered louder at this display.

Giving a thumbs up as a response to the cheers, Jack gripped his staff and began flying down to the ring.

Venom was about to try shoot webbing at Rinoa and Tifa when Jack suddenly flew past him, tapping the symbiote with his staff, which was enough to freeze him all over.

Stopping his flight, Jack turned around and motioned at Tifa to strike Venom, to which she smirked and obliged, striking him multiple times.

Groaning, Venom looked up at Jack. "Oh, I can tell you're going to annoy us, edgy frost boy!"

Landing on the ground, Jack held his staff to his shoulder and shrugged. "Eh, annoying others is part of my job. Now let's see how many times I can freeze you before it stops being fun!"

"BIRDIE!" (SFV)

Combing his hair to make sure it was just the way he liked it, the now-overweight brute finished before taking the donut he was hanging on his finger and scarfing it down, much to the disgust of the crowd.

Waving off the sounds of disgust, Birdie brought out his chain and ran as fast as he could down the ramp and leaped in, causing the ground to slightly shake around him.

Eyeing his target, King Dedede. Birdie waited until he turned his back to him, when he did, Birdie leaped at the king of Dreamland.

Only to eat a hammer to the face as King Dedede noticed him out of the corner of his eye and quickly introduced Birdie to his hammer.

"You think you could get away with that? Look at what happened to Falco when he tried that! Besides, I ain't no idiot!"

Birdie got up with a groan. "Well, if you're so smart, then why did you accept a deal with the host? You know that these hosts can be unpredictable? Look at what happened to that paper thing!"

King Dedede held up his hammer with a smirk. "Oh don't worry, he's gonna let me give the final fighter announcement or else, as a matter of fact, I'll use you as an example of what will happen if he tries to go back on his word."

Birdie scoffed. "Good luck with that."

"ESPIO THE CHAMELEON!" (StH)

The second member of the Chaotix Detective Agency to enter was also it's second-in-command, the purple-skinned chameleon ninja known as Espio. Coolly standing on the entrance ramp with his arms crossed, he flashed a smirk at seeing Charmy before disappearing into leaves.

Re-appearing in the ring, Espio quickly rushed to help his partner Charmy with the Hoodblaster, who had been struggling to figure out how to get in and attack the multi-talented mook.

Activating his camouflage, Espio ran behind the Hoodblaster and threw a kunai at the propeller, which promptly exploded and sent it falling to the canvas.

Charmy was surprised at the display before he saw Espio come out of his camouflage, grinning, he flew over.

"Espio! See! I told you I could survive my section so we could team-up!"

Espio held up his hand, motioning for him to be quiet. "Yes, you proved me wrong, but now we must focus our attention to our opponent." Espio said, motioning to the recovering Hoodblaster.

Seeing itself outnumbered now, the Hoodblaster's confidence fell a bit, it needed to be more cautious from this point on if it was going to come out on top.

(Hotel; Lobby)

Making her way to report to Jedah at the Boiler Room, Skarlet looked around for anyone who could listen in before getting out some sort of amulet.

"Shao Kahn. It is done, Bison was more than willing to let me into his circle, our mission to take the Triforce's power has started out well."

The amulet then showed an image of Shao Kahn, who looked pleased underneath his mask. "Good work, Skarlet. For now do as your told, and find out all you can on D'Vorah's status."

Skarlet nodded. "I will. I'll update you further on what I come across, goodbye for now." She said as the image of Shao Kahn disappeared and she went back on her way.

Right where was standing previously, a woman wearing a cloak suddenly appeared out of nowhere, seemingly having been invisible before.

"Well, and I just came here to take some money from the casino's and more wealthy guests, looks like I just stumbled onto something more interesting."

(The Arena)

"KING!" (KOFXIV)

The fanboys went nuts for the blonde woman, who held a rose in her hand and gave it a sniff before throwing it into the crowd.

King smiled at the positive reception, even if it was mostly men. Taking a moment to stretch her arms, she ran down the entrance ramp.

Richter was tossing his axe to himself when King entered the ring and made a beeline for him.

King greeted the vampire hunter with a bow. "Hello, I saw how you eliminated Whip, care to test your skills against me?"

Richter smirked. "Sure, but I'll be honest, I'm feeling some momentum on my side after winning that fight! Might just be your undoing!"

Now it was King's turn to smirk. "A fight you almost lost and needed a Final Smash to win?"

The vampire hunter gaped for a few seconds before growling. "Ah, so you want to see if my skills are good enough to win without a Final Smash. Well, let me show you how good I am!"

"MEGA MAN!" (SSB)

Coming out to thunderous cheers, the Blue Bomber smiled and decides to show off some of his weapons to the crowd, making them cheer even more. Not wanting to spend anymore time on the ramp he booked it down the entrance ramp.

Once in the ring, he looked around and noted not many people left who weren't occupied. "Hmm, should I fight someone now, of should I wait and someone else is interested in fighting?"

Weighing the two options in his head, Mega Man charged up his Mega Buster to prepare himself for any opponent. Deciding to take his chances on someone new, he turned around to see who came out next.

"For some reason, I don't have quite a good feeling about this next…."

"CASSHAN!" (TAS)

The crowd gasped once it realized the implication of what this meant, before beginning to cheer once more.

Standing tall with his robot canine friend, the aptly named Friender, Tetsuya Azuma looked out at the ring in wonder and awe, having not seen the ability to fight in some time.

"Wow. I must say, what an opportunity! Right, Friender?" He asked Friender, who barked in agreement. "Yeah, I agree. But now, it's time for us to show why we were chosen to fight with these Video Game Greats! Let's show them what a Neoroider can do!"

Rushing down the ramp at blazing speed, Casshan jumped into the ring and was immediately put on the defense by Mega Man's Charge Shot, managing to dodge just in time.

Casshan looked toward where it had come from, seeing Mega Man, he smirked. "Ah, we've had a lot about you, Blue Bomber."

Mega Man nodded. "Same for you, I've heard of the similarities between us. To be honest, I was hoping to get the chance to fight you, although this does feel contrived."

Looking up at the Announcer's Booth in suspicion, Casshan couldn't help but agree. "I couldn't help but notice myself, but anyway, since we're here, I'd love to show you the power of a Neoroider!"

Getting out a Metal Blade, Mega Man got into a stance. "And I'll show you my entire versatile arsenal! So don't hold back!"

"LUKIUS BRIDGES!" (TotH)

The brother of Caius Qualls held a firm grip on his staff as he came out to a mixed reception, not that he particularly cared. Looking up to see Caius watching him, he gave a small smile as he walked into the ring.

"I should focus on getting eliminations for my node, we only have one and it's by Rommy of all people." He said to himself as he looked around for an opponent, eventually making a decision, he walked over to a bored Zidane balancing his daggers on his feet while hanging upside down.

When he saw Lukius approach, he flipped forward and kicked his daggers into the air, catching them in his hands. "I know what you want, you want to up your elimination count, well don't expect it to come easy! I learned from nearly getting eliminated last section, you won't catch me slipping up anymore!"

Holding out his staff, Lukius got into position to fight. "That's good to hear, was worried this might be easier than I thought."

Zidane eyes widened before glaring at Lukius. "I'll show you!"

"And now, Mystery…..Fighter…Number…..SEVENTEEN!"

"RATCATCHER II!" (The Suicide Squad)

To the audience's surprise, emerging onto the entrance ramp was a young woman with somewhat messy hair, ragged clothes, and a rat on her shoulder.

Yawning and doing a few stretches to wake herself up, Cleo turned to rat on her shoulder and smiled, motioning towards the crowd. "Sebastian, this is the crowd, say hello to the crowd, Sebastian." She said to the rat apparently named Sebastian.

Sebastian squeaked before cutely doing a little wave at the audience, who again, were too stunned to react.

Ratcatcher II giggled at the lack of a reaction before calmly petting the now somewhat sad Sebastian. "Do not mind them, Sebastian. They have not yet seen what we are capable of, once they do see, then applause will erupt like a fiery volcano whenever we so much as take a step! Okay, Sebastian?" She asked her rat, who squeaked in excitement.

Finally beginning the descent to the ring and stepping in, she immediately was approached by a weary Talbain.

The wolf man looked at the two with uncertainty. "I don't mean to be rude, but you two don't look like the fighter type, so what can you do?"

Ratcatcher II raised her eyebrow before turning to Sebastian. "Shall we?" The rat nodded his head, to which got him a pat on the head from his owner.

Getting out a small device out, Ratcatcher II held it out at Talbain. "You are right in that we are not traditional fighters. Do you wish to see just how we do our fighting?" She asked, to which Talbain slowly nodded.

Smirking, she pressed a button on the device, causing a light to shine on the end of it, she then pointed it at Talbain.

Suddenly, somehow, a flurry of rats emerged from various places all over the arena, much to the audience's horror. The rats quickly moved to where the light shined, which was on Talbain, who was top shocked at this to remember he was the target, until he began to get covered with rats.

"What the-? Ah! Get them off! Get them off!" Talbain said as he struggled against the rats, to which point they covered his entire body.

Seeing this, Ratcatcher II just smiled. "And that is why you don't underestimate the power of rodents."

(Hotel; 3rd Floor)

"So, they were right around here?" Juri asked Kano, who was looking around through his one laser eye.

"Yep. Whoever it is must've had a pretty rough beatdown." Kano said as they turned onto a corridor of rooms.

Finally arriving to where Kano had seen the body, they looked to see an unconscious D'Vorah lying there.

This got Kano to laugh. "Ha! Someone finally squished the damned bug!"

This got Juri's attention as she walked up to and kicked the downed D'Vorah. "You know her?"

Joining Juri in giving the Kytinn a kick, Kano nodded. "Yeah, I know her, a nuisance she is, no real loyalty to anyone but herself."

"That's rich! Aren't you much the same, Kano?" Said a voice behind them who laughed.

The two turned to see Lord Raptor behind them, a cocky grin on his face.

"I've been paid to by Bison and that fem-bot to take down this one right here." The zombie motioned to Juri, who gave a cocky smirk.

"Really? Well, it seems that's not going to be so easy, now that I got some more firepower on my side." Juri stated, motioning toward Kano.

Just then, D'Vorah began to stir and get up, seeing the trio in front of her. She panicked and used her back pincers to quickly crawl away, but not before attracting Juri's attention.

"Hey! The bug lady is getting away! Deal with him while I go after her!" Juri ordered Kano as she took off after the Kytinn.

Lord Raptor tried to follow after Juri, when Kano grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

"You heard her, mate. You're fighting me now."

Lord Raptor growled, he did NOT agree to this.

(The Arena)

"METAKNIGHT!" (SSB)

His theme song blaring through the speakers, the masked swordsman wasted no time in using his wings to fly to the ring, giving a nod to the heavily cheering crowd around him.

Upon landing, he immediately noticed King Dedede and rolled his eyes deciding to just wait for him to notice he was here.

King Dedede was about to send a dazed Birdie flying away with his hammer when the name that had been announced finally registered in his head, turning to see if it was true, his face turned to shock at seeing Metaknight just sitting there.

Pounding Birdie in the stomach with his hammer, he immediately rushed over to the swordsman. "Well, well, well! Fancy seeing you here! You never told me that you're section was right after mine!"

Metaknight crossed his arms. "I had hoped you would've noticed that when I showed you my number."

King Dedede scoffed. "Whatever, this time you're not getting the best of me! Now put up that sword!",

Meanwhile, a dazed Birdie got up, took a step forward then immediately collapsed back to the canvas.

"HSEIN-KO!" (DS)

Coming out to a decent cheer, the Chinese vampire girl giggled and gave a wave to the crowd. Looking at the ring, her smile dropped as she saw Talbain still struggling to get Ratcatcher II's rats off him. "You would think a wolf man would have no trouble getting rid of rats…" She said with a sigh.

Entering the ring, she quickly rushed to Talbain's aid, swinging her arm at Ratcatcher II, who ducked and finally took the light off Talbain.

With no more rats coming to cover him, Talbain was now somewhat able to start pulling and clawing the rats off.

Standing back up, Ratcatcher II eyed Hsien-Ko with a curious look. "You and him are from the same node?"

The ghost girl nodded. "Yeah, and it's kind of a given that I'd help him, so sorry! But you have to go down."

Ratcatcher II shook her head. "I don't think so." Holding her wand back up again, she shined her light on Hsien-Ko, causing most of the rats that were on Talbain to began moving towards her, causing her to give a small scream.

"You two shall share the wealth."

"SANANE!" (FEXL)

The plucky and cheerful younger sister of Shirase twirled her staff like a baton before throwing it into the air and catching it, electing her a few slightly bigger cheers from the crowd.

Giving a few more smiles and waves, Sanane took a deep breath as she dashed into the ring.

Birdie had just finally gotten back up when he heard Sanane running at him and slamming her staff hard onto his head.

"Yeah! Sorry, mister! But anyone just lying around is an easy elimination! And nobody passes up easy eliminations!"

Birdie sighed. "If you had been paying attention you'd had seen that I'm not just lying around foe nothing, I got hit several times with a hammer!"

Sanane eyes widened as she held a hand to her mouth. "Oh sorry to hear that." Her face then lit up again. "But I'm still going to eliminate you!"

Birdie couldn't help but laugh. "Really? I'd love to see you try!"

Sanane smirked. "You will, don't worry!"

"ROSERADE!" (PKMN)

Another Pokémon entering the fray, the grass/poison type flower Pokémon gave an elegant pose, before holding it's hand, which looked like a bouquet of flowers, up to it's face, seemingly taking a sniff of the flowers on it. After it was done, it glares forward and rushed down to the ring.

Once in, it did a twirl around before looking around and realizing it had no opponent, as everyone else was already occupied.

Not letting it bother it, Roserade struck a few more poses before turning around and staring at the entrance curtain, waiting for an opponent.

"And now, the final fighter of this section….."

"SKULL KID!" (HW)

Upon hearing the name, both Medli and Linkle gave an annoyed look at the top of the Entrance Ramp, before remembering to probably stay out of sight if they didn't want to be bothered, with a final shaking of their heads, the two girls went back to their fights.

Accompanied by his two fairies Tatl and Tael, the Skull Kid gave his signature laugh as he got out his ocarina and slowly floated into the ring.

"I've been waiting for this! A whole new batch of victims to play tricks on! It'll be fun! Right, you two?" Skull Kid asked to Tatl and Tael, who both shook up and down as if to say yes.

Floating into the ring, Skull Kid immediately noticed the alone Roserade and laughed.

"Looks like our first victim has found us! Come on you two! Let's give this crowd a show!" Skull Kid said as he floated over to Roserade.

Roserade stood it's guard, it may not no what Skull Kid had in mind, but whatever it was, it was ready for it.
