(The Arena)
As Ratcatcher II summoned more rats, the fighters around her quickly realized just how distracting, fighting around a bunch of rats was, with most trying to get into their fights without hurting them, lest they incur Ratcatcher II's wrath.
One fighter however, wasn't interested in being cautious.
"Tsk Tsk, you think you can cause more chaos than me? Rat Girl? We'll see about that!"
"Ooooh! Are you going to do "the thing", l Kid?" Tael beamed, bouncing up and down.
The mask-wearer laughed. "Oh, you bet I am! Let's see everyone fight like this!" With a wave of his hands, Skull Kid summoned a dark aura around him that spread to the rest of the fighters, turning them invisible.
This also affected Ratcatcher II's rats, much to her confusion. "What? Who is doing…."
She didn't get to finish her question, as she felt something hit her face, knocking her down.
Looking up to find her assailant, only to see nothing, for obvious reasons. Ratcatcher II remembered that everyone was now invisible, she rolled out of the way before deciding to turn off her rat device, opting to try a different approach for the time being, besides, it was useless anyway.
Looking over his work, Skull Kid tilted his head before laughing at all the chaos that was unfolding, despite not being able to see any of it.
"Skull Kid. As fun as this is, aren't you worried someone will try and eliminate you?" Tatl asked the still in thought Skull Kid.
"Not really! Because I have something special in store for anyone who tries that! Trust me! If they want to be able to see each other again, they'll let me survive the section!"
Just then, noises of confusion and fear were heard from around the ring, making it clear that the effects of Skull Kid's spell were felt.
Skull Kid just laughed at all of this. "That's right I made you all unable to see your opponent! And unless, you get the hang of it, or wait until the effects wear off, there ain't nothing you can do about it!"
(Announcer's Booth)
The two hosts just stood there, mouths agape, clearly Skull Kid's antics were not something they were prepared for.
"…..Umm, how are we going to be able to tell who eliminated who? IF anyone gets eliminated?" Livia asked in a confused tone.
The question, and the implication of Skull Kid's actions quickly hit Grey like a ton of bricks, how WERE they going to able to tell what and if anything happened?
Grey could only stare ahead, obviously unsure of what to do, before letting out a defeated. "No clue. I didn't think this the whole way through when I told Skull Kid he could go all out."
Livia could only widen her eyes at his response before sighing and slapping her forehead.
(The Arena)
Luigi slapped his hand forward, hoping to hit or make contact with someone, only to swipe nothing but air, he let out a frustrated huff before his eyes picked up the sound of snoring.
Following it, he kept listening in until he was sure he could pinpoint where it was coming from, whipping out his Poltergust G-00, he fired a plunger from it, which attached itself onto someone, before sucking whoever it was in and allowing Luigi to uppercut them back aways.
That person was actually Meitenkun, who had fallen asleep prior to Skull Kid's spell casting, leaving him unfortunately confound and confused at what was going on.
"Wait, why can't I see anything? Why can't I see myself? What is going on?" Meitenkun groggily questioned surprisingly still having a mellow and sleepy tone despite his confusion.
Luigi was conflicted as he heard Meitenkun's confusion. "Should I-a tell him? It's not exactly-a fair that he doesn't know about what that-a kid did…."
His pondering was interrupted as he heard footsteps come from behind him, the sound of fighting soon followed as whoever it was swung something into Luigi's face knocking him back toward Meitenkun.
Unbeknownst to Luigi, King Dedede was lumbering around swinging his hammer, hoping to find a mark, hearing Luigi's scream gave him an answer as he laughed and walked forward, swing his hammer with every step.
"Come on! Ain't no way you can dodge this!"
Dedede's voice alerted Meitenkun to his presence, and having finally gotten some idea as to what was going on, the sleepy teen felt around for his pillow, picked it up and threw at where he thought the King was.
The pillow had amazingly managed to hit his target, but because this was Dedede, it didn't have an incredible amount of effect, only knocking him back a few feet, where he quickly recovered.
"Really? What was that anyway?" Was all the penguin king could say.
Just then, Luigi, getting a good idea of where his targets were, spun around in his famous Luigi Cyclone, catching both Dedede and Meitenkun in it.
The attack threw both fighters in opposite directions, hearing where Meitenkun landed by his grunts upon hitting the canvas, Luigi looked to where he thought Meitenkun was and saw he was likely closer to the ropes.
Acting fast, Luigi ran to where he thought Meitenkun landed and lashed his arms out.
When he felt something against his hand, which was Meitenkun's pillow, he walked back before dashing forward.
"Huh? Who is-?!"
That was all Meitenkun could get out before Luigi uppercutted him again, which was just enough to launch the sleepy teen over the ropes and into the portal.
Meitenkun landed in Scooby Doo, where he was mistaken for an invisible ghost who made snoring sounds to lure in victims.
When he didn't hear Meitenkun land, Luigi assumed he had eliminated the boy, giving a small laugh of victory, he listened in for more fighters.
"This almost doesn't feel fair, wait, scratch that, this isn't fair at all!" Said King Dedede as he tried to pinpoint someone from all the noise around him.
Suddenly, something struck him in the stomach, knocking him over.
The thing in question was Charmy, who upon everyone turning invisible, couldn't quite pinpoint where his partner was. "Huh? Oh, Espio? Is that you? Wait, no, it can't be! Espio isn't that big! Where is he? Ugh! Why does he have to be so quiet all the time?"
Getting up, King Dedede smirked as he gripped his hammer, following where Charmy's voice was coming from.
When he was sure he had him, he let loose and gave a huge swing of his hammer, only to hit nothing as Charmy obliviously flew out of the way.
"Maybe he's on the other side, all of the noise must be drowning him out!"
Charmy then turned around, nearly stinging Dedede in the eye, and tried to navigate around the chaos around him that he could not see.
Hearing Charmy move further and further away, Dedede quickly picked up his hammer and tried to follow him.
Jet hovered around on his board, trying to pinpoint where Medli was, who had gone quiet once she had turned invisible.
"Come on, cheater! You can't stay quiet forever!"
To his surprise, he felt his board being pulled out from under him, causing him to fall face-first onto the canvas.
Growling, Jet pulled out one of his Bashõsen, which was a green warfan made up of his feathers, and spun forward in a circle waving them, hoping to strike the Rito girl.
Jet ended up striking nothing but air, he didn't get to air out his frustrations though, as he was immediately rammed into by Medli, who had taken flight using her wings.
Getting up, Jet lashed out with his warfan, only to miss Medli completely as a light appeared from nowhere, this was actually Medli's harp, but as it was invisible it made it seem like the light had an unknown source. The light briefly blinded Jet, letting Medli shove his board into his stomach.
"Sorry, but it looks like your time is up! Enjoy your flight!"
Jet smirked. "That's what you think!" He said as he propped himself up on his board and took off, taking Medli with him.
Just as Medli pulled himself up onto the board, Jet got out his warfans and knocked her off, sending her flying.
Hearing the sound of Medli yelling as she flew away, Jet laughed.
"Ha! Told ya! Cheaters never….!"
See, the problem is very simple, you're riding a very fast hoverboard in a crowded ring while everyone else inside is invisible, doing this in the first place was incredibly stupid.
"Ah! Who did that?! Who thought it foolish enough to attack us head-on?! We have enough to deal with, what with these stupid rats!"
Recognizing the voice as Venom's, Jet quickly looked to where it was coming from, so as to not run into the symbiote.
However, the rats had other ideas, bumping into Jet's boot, they immediately doted onto the avian and surrounded him.
"No! Get off, stupid rats!" Jet said as he shook the rats off his leg, only to immediately realize his mistake.
"Found you!" Venom said in a child-like tone as he quickly rushed to where he had heard Jet's voice.
"And I found you, Brock!" Called a smirking Jack Frost as he sent an ice blast in his direction.
The blast made contact and froze Venom in place, feet away from Jet.
Unfortunately, before he could breathe a sigh of relief, something collided with him from above, knocking him down to the ground.
A dazed Medli got up, ignoring the rats scurrying away in fear for a few seconds before coming to, realizing she had guessed right and quickly summoned a big gust of wind forward.
The gust of wind picked up Jet, and whatever rats that were around him before stopping and forming a big ball of wind that spun them around.
Her opponent's elimination guaranteed, Medli flew into the wind ball, launching Jet and the rats over the ropes.
Jet landed in Sonic Boom, specifically the episode Battle of the Boy Bands, the invisible rats ended up causing quite a ruckus to said battle.
Medli got back up and realized that she eliminated Jet, smiling, she turned around and heard the sound of Tifa striking the frozen Venom multiple times. Deciding to avoid catching attention from others, and also wanting to avoid the rats, she decided to take to the air for the time being.
The Hoodblaster activated a forcefield around him, unsure of where it's opponent was, when the forcefield deactivated, something immediately struck him, knocking him back.
It was actually a kunai that Espio had thrown at the mook, hearing the sound of his grunts of pain, Espio figured he found his mark and ran forward.
The Hoodblaster managed to find the kunai and pull it out before he ate a kick to the face, not one to go down easily, he quickly aimed his rifle forward and fired a shot only to hit air.
"Guess again." Espio said behind him.
The minute he heard this, the mook showed a good amount of accuracy as he had managed to throw a bottle of plum juice in Espio's direction, but the chameleon sensed it coming and swerved to the side.
"I can tell that almost landed, not bad, but you haven't found your mark yet."
Espio then used his Leaf Swirl, launching a tornado of leaves at the Hoodblaster, but the mook could tell something was up and activated his forcefield, causing the leaves to dissipate upon hitting it.
The Hoodblaster tried to fire another shot at Espio, but he again hit nothing, seeing him getting nowhere, he decided to take to the air.
Right as he was about to do that however, Charmy unknowingly flew right into the propeller, and the resulting yelp he made signaled to a tailing King Dedede where to swing his hammer.
"Ha-ha! I got ya this time!"
Amidst this, Espio heard this all happening and could only react with a "Huh?".
King Dedede swung his hammer into the propeller, and when he did, it exploded, sending the four fighters in flying in multiple directions.
Just then, Skull Kid's spell wore off, bringing everyone back to visibility.
Getting up, Espio saw that the Hoodblaster was out cold, the battle won. He approached the downed mook and got ready to kick him out of the ring.
As he was about to, the Hoodblaster sprung to life and aimed his rifle at Espio, only for Charmy to use his stinger to swipe it out of his hands and sting him, causing him to reel in pain.
Smirking, Espio launched his Leaf Swirl, which picked up the Hoodblaster and carried him over the ropes.
Seeing, King Dedede approach the two Chaotix from behind, the Hoodblaster decided to lend a hand, getting out another bottle of explosive plum juice, he chucked it at the two right as King Dedede rammed over them.
The plum juice blasted them right back at Dedede, who readied his hammer and swung hard into Charmy, launching him over the ropes right after the Hoodblaster.
(Moonlit River Park)
A portal opened up, dispensing Charmy and the Hoodblaster into what seemed to an abandoned amusement park.
Getting up, Charmy immediately voiced his disappointment.
"Aw, man! I didn't even get to do all that much! That stupid mask wearing weirdo and his stupid invisibility spell!"
The Hoodblaster on the other hand, was more interested in where they landed, looking around to try and get an idea of what this node was.
"You're not from around here." Said a weepy voice from behind them.
Turning around, the two fighters came face with what appeared to be a young boy with a sack over his head, which had a stitched mouth, the boy was also wearing blue overalls and only one sock. Lastly, he sounded as if he was crying.
However, what tipped the two off to the fact that this boy was possibly dangerous was the axe he held in his hand.
"I want my sister back!" The boy yelled as he held up the axe and hurled it at the two, narrowly missing them and flying between them.
Narrowing his eyes, the Hoodblaster got out a bottle of explosive plum juice and threw it at the boy.
To their horror, the bottle didn't explode, and not only that, but the boy caught it.
The Hoodblaster got out his rifle, only to find that he was out of ammo, which only added to their fear.
"….We should… GET THE HECK OUT OF HERE!"
With that, the two took off, the boy letting out a few sobs before chasing after them, picking his axe back up.
(Announcer's Booth)
"What exactly is that node?" Livia questioned as she looked at the two being chased on the monitor.
"That, my friend. Is the node of Identity V. Think Dead by Daylight, but the lore and story of the game didn't take a good couple of years to be included in the game itself." Grey explained.
Livia looked at him, smirking. "Couldn't resist saying that one, could you?"
Grey turned back to the ring, smile on his face. "Nope!"
(The Arena)
Skull Kid looked around the ring, seeing his spell had worn off.
"Flattered to be able to see again? Don't celebrate for long!"
With another wave of his hands, another dark aura appeared, spreading across the ring and turning everyone invisible again.
"A thousand times better!"
Roserade, who was glaring up at the mask-clad forest child, decided to take the challenge and raised it's arm up to launch an attack.
Birdie swung his chain in circles, hoping to hear the sound of his opponent, Sanane.
"Where can this little girl be? There ain't no way she's going to take me out as an easy elimination!"
"I will if you keep talking!"
The British brute was met with a few strong kicks and punches before Sanane decided to switch to her Naginata, striking and cutting him multiple times.
Groaning from his slight injuries, he put his shoulder up and charged forward, ramming the girl down.
"My turn, girlie!"
Grabbing Sanane, he head-butted her multiple times before throwing her into the air.
"Enjoy Time!"
Pulling a chili pepper out of his pocket, he quickly dropped it into his mouth, immediately his skin turned red and a burst of flames came out of his mouth.
The flames hit Sanane as she was about to land, causing her to scream in pain and fly forward a bit.
"Man, am I lucky or what? I guessed perfectly where you were three times in a row! Those noises you make only help me figure out where ya are!"
Feeling around for Sanane, Birdie moved from left to right, hoping to make contact with his opponent.
Suddenly, Birdie was hit in the back of the head, turning around, he lunged forward only to hit nothing.
"Huh?"
Sanane giggled lightly to herself before she struck forward, hitting her mark.
"Oh! That's it! Ain't no one hittin' me and gettin' away with it!"
Birdie whipped out his chain and leaped forward, but once again, he made contact with nothing.
Sanane then decided to leap onto his back, causing Birdie to wildly flail about hoping to get her off.
"Hey! Get off, I ain't no horse!"
Standing atop his shoulders, Sanane tilted forward, leading Birdie to the ropes.
"Oh no, you don't!"
But before Birdie could grab her and throw her off him, she jumped off and raised her staff upward, launching Birdie into the air.
Birdie's surprised shout let her know where to strike, and with a spin of the bladed side of her staff, hitting Birdie multiple times, she launched him over the ropes.
Birdie landed in Trollhunters, Jim thought he was an invisible monster and decided to use Rule Number Three, much to Birdie's anguish as he spent the rest of his time there holding his pride.
Metaknight looked around, hearing nothing around him, but that only made him weary.
Sensing someone's footsteps, Metaknight snapped and turned around and stabbed his sword and the direction the footsteps came from.
The assailant, who was actually Maxima using his infrared vision, swatted his sword away, before activating his boosters and grabbing Metaknight.
The two flew forward a few feet before Maxima used his cannons to deliver a strong punch that sent the masked swordsman flying away.
Seeing the numerous rats below him, Metaknight caught himself and flew over the ground, seeing Maxima lumbering over, he decided to lead him over the rats.
Maxima saw the herd of rats he was about to walk into, and then back up at Metaknight, smirking.
"You forget about my infrared vision? Looks like this'll be an air battle!"
Activating his boosters, Maxima flew over to Metaknight, who heard him coming and activated his tornado move.
Maxima quickly flew back to avoid it, when he saw the attack was over, he launched a punch forward.
Problem was, despite being unable to see him, unlike Maxima who could. Maxima's boosters were still fairly noisy, which clued Metaknight in on where he was.
Metaknight parried the punch before launching a flurry of sword strikes, to which Maxima blocked most of them.
Picking the right moment, Maxima grabbed his sword, keeping him in place as Maxima activated his chest cannon.
"My apologies, but this fight is over."
Right before the cannon fired, Metaknight pulled his sword away and disappeared. Causing the cannon to launch a blue beam right into the ceiling.
"Damn. Where did he go?"
He got his answer right as Metaknight reappeared behind him, slicing right through his boosters.
The strike caused his boosters to malfunction and send him flying in all different directions before soaring straight at Metaknight.
Right as he was about to make impact, Metaknight stopped him dead in his tracks by swinging his sword upward multiple times, carrying Maxima far above the ropes.
"Fool. Never challenge a fighter with wings to an airborne battle."
Metaknight began spinning himself and his sword downward in a drill-like manner, carrying Maxima with him, when he stopped, the Canadian cyborg was flying straight down into the portal.
Maxima landed in The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, where he ended up getting caught by Green's magnet glove, leaving him and Red confused as to how to get over the gap.
(Dome; Recovery Room)
The Recovery Room, the place where are eliminated fighters are sent to after their ten minutes in their random elimination node are up. How long a fighter remains there is dependant on their injuries, some can be there for a quick few minutes, while others require a bit more than that.
One thing all patients share, is that eventually they can leave to go enjoy the rest of the tournament from their hotel room or they can head to the Eliminated Seating.
The room itself looked fairly simple, hospital beds lined up from one end of the room to another, with a desk and computer monitor set up at the end of the room, in-between the rows of beds. For the patients privacy, there were curtains that were provided for each bed, specially made to also block out sound.
That is what it's mostly like normally, however with this tournament and it's twist, Grey felt it necessary to make sure every patient was only in for a few minutes, and it showed in just who he got to take on this job.
The people in charge included a fighter in the tournament itself, Alice from King of Fighters XIV, she was also the only fighter in the tournament who was apart of this staff, another member of it was Dr. Mario from the series of the same name, he was originally invited to compete with the Smash Bros node, but ultimately he was cut for being too similar to Mario, not that he minded, since he thrived in this environment.
Outside those two, that's when we get into what makes this group odd, starting with the least out of place was Eleanor from The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, she was the only other one beside Alice and Dr. Mario with medical knowledge, being a former EMT, this is now when we get into really odd members of the group, next up was Freya from God of War, she had dabbled in the art of healing so she wasn't a complete out of left field choice, neither was Claudette Morel from Dead by Daylight, who also had experience with healing with her botany knowledge, although that healing only having was meant for herself, but she was able to make it work for others. Going further down the line was Raine Sage, who well wasn't actually too out of place compared to the others, being known for her mastery of healing artes, now trembling into odd once again was Raiden from Mortal Kombat, now this was an odd pick, while he had the power to heal, his powers were mostly ever used to defend his realm, and finally, the weirdest of them all, Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter, while she knew a few spells hear and there that could heal, she had her mind entranced in other magic, even Luna herself thought her place here was strange. Still, she decided to bring Phoenix Tears in order to counterbalance her lack of knowledge in healing magic.
Regardless, the Recovery Room was mostly empty, as the staff had finished the taking care of the Section 6 eliminated fighters awhile ago, there were also only two beds occupied.
"I can't say this enough, but, Luna? Why are you here?" Asked Eleanor.
Luna shrugged. "Not an hour has gone by where I have not asked myself that. But, I cannot let that distract me from this job."
Alice heard this and nodded. "True."
Typing on the computer to see how long until the first fighter of this section would appear, Alice said aloud so her colleagues could hear. "We have Laura from SFV coming in a few minutes, so look alive!"
Freya nodded as she stood up. "Very well. Although before he arrives, I would like to check up on our two current patients."
Raiden spoke up. "I have managed to heal Cia of her injuries, but she remains unconscious."
The thunder god walked to the bed where Cia lay, indeed, she seemed to have been healed, but still she slept in unconsciousness.
"I want to say her body probably doesn't know it's healed yet, so she's probably likely to stay unconscious for as long as she would've if she was still injured." Eleanor theorized as she watched Cia sleep.
Luna walked up to the two, nodding. "That is a plausible theory, she could be out for a bit at the very least. Anyway, I wanted to show you something I found on the other one, come."
The group walked over to Velvet's bed, where like Cia, she lay unconscious, despite Claudette healing her injuries.
Taking a small little metal bit with a red lens on it out of the tray next to the bed, Luna showed it to the group.
"I found this one her, I heard a beep and she started moving around in her sleep and making pained noises, the poor girl. It seems as though this is the reason for her pain and why she fell unconscious."
Right as she said that, the thing beeped and a sharp pain ravaged through the arm Luna held it in causing her to let out a small cry and drop it.
"Yes, I was right. Wish there was a better way to find out, though."
Raiden picked up the small bit and placed it back on the tray. "It also seems that this is not what Velvet wears normally, meaning someone must have planted it on her, no doubt it is small enough for her to not notice."
Claudette crossed her arms with a sigh. "So, there is some kind of conspiracy afoot here, no offense, but I did not agree to do this to get involved in anything."
Raiden nodded. "Neither did I, but it appears we have an problem at our hands."
Just as Raiden finished, a voice was heard outside the Recovery Room.
"I give you a simple task, retrieve Velvet Crowe from the Recovery Room! You've been there for far too long, not to mention the idiots running that room are now onto us!" Van Roekel shouted through his communicator.
"Look we'll get her, I promise! We just need more time!" Brigade pleaded.
"No! Get her now! It is not difficult, ugh! If only Paragon was still with us….but enough! Get her now!"
Having heard the entire conversation, the group looked at each other before covering Velvet's bed.
Just then, Velvet began to stir, getting Alice's attention.
"Well, that certainly helps matters."
Meanwhile, outside the Recovery Room.
Silver carrying Blaze turned a corner to reach the room, soon being followed by Ghirahim & Kuja.
On the other side, D'Vorah crawled from around the other corner, Juri hot on her trail.
"Enough of this!'
Jumping at D'Vorah, Juri ended up colliding with her and sent the two rolling into the Imperfects, who in turn collided with Silver & Blaze, leaving the seven fighters a sprawled mess on the floor.
Ghirahim & Kuja, seeing the carnage unfold and managing to stop themselves from being apart of it, simply looked on in slight amusement.
"What in all the worlds…?"
(The Arena)
Casshan listened in for any sounds, wearily preparing to dodge any attack that was launched at him.
"I'm sorry, but I was not the one who caused that light to nearly fall on you!" Casshan called out.
Hearing something coming behind him, Casshan flipped out of the way, it was actually a wave of ice, courtesy of Jack Frost.
"Well, I suppose I can't hold you to that. But still, since we're here, let's have a little fun." Jack said, smirking as he finished.
"Hard to have "fun" when you can't see each other…"
Jack shot ice all around him, to which Casshan backed away when he saw where it was coming from.
"Friender! Fire Breath!"
Casshan's robot dog ran to his side and launched a stream of fire from his mouth, the fire also helped Casshan know where he was.
Jack's eyes widened in fear as he quickly moved to fly back away from the fire, but not before sustaining some minor burns to his legs.
"Ah! Okay, that wasn't so fun, but come closer! Come on! I'll let you have a free shot!"
Jack then began shooting ice all around him, as if egging Casshan on to come to him.
Casshan scoffed. "He must be a fool to think I will fall for that. Friender, follow my voice! And stay close, we shall show him we are to not be played for idiots!"
Casshan and Friender ran toward the wall of ice, rushing through it quick enough to take Jack by surprise, although the Guardian of Fun quickly recovered.
"You're fast, but let's see you move with this!" Jack said as he waved his staff.
"Friender! Fire Breath!"
Once again, Friender shot out a stream of fire from his mouth, although it didn't last for long as Jack quickly dodged it and tapped Friender with his staff, slowly freezing him.
"One down, two to go!" Jack cheered as he looked at the frozen part of the canvas where Friender stood.
"Lightning Punch!"
Casshan charged his fists with power and lunged forward at blazing speed, punching and shattering the ice that held Friender.
Jack quickly went on the offensive, conjuring snow around them, he used the shapes made by Casshan and Friender to blast them both with ice bolts.
Wincing at first, Casshan recovered and quickly aimed to retaliate.
"Friender, stay back for now! You deserve it, thanks for your help." Casshan said to his friend with a smile, to which the robot dog complied. Before jumping into the air and again taking Jack off-guard with his speed.
"Catapult Knee!"
Casshan charged up power into his knee and brought it in hard into Jack's stomach.
The force of the blow sent Jack tumbling into the ground, the wind knocked out of him. It also launched him out of his snow conjuring, which soon disappeared without him to keep it going.
Landing, Casshan listened and quickly heard Jack's gasps for air, making him run to where he heard him.
Getting up and realizing Casshan was coming, Jack spun on his staff and shot out ice in a circle around him.
Seeing the ice, Casshan leaped over it and, now knowing where to strike prepared his next attack.
"Shooting Star Kick!"
Hearing Casshan shout instantly made Jack retreat to the air to avoid whatever attack he had planned. However, his failure to listen to what attack the Neoroider was about to use caused him to put himself right into the attacks range, as Casshan leapt up and did a flying drill kick in the air.
The attack caught Jack and sent him spiraling into the canvas, his cry of pain letting Casshan know once again where to aim his final attack.
"You're pretty good, Guardian. But you're inexperience against an advanced warrior proved to be your downfall! Now, SUPER DESTRUCTION BEAM!"
Casshan fired a huge green laser beam from the piece on his helmet, as soon as it made contact with Jack, it immediately triggered an explosion that sent the Spirit flying off into the portal.
Jack landed in Frozen, where he spent the next ten minutes teaching Elsa how to better control her powers.
Casshan raised a fist to the air. "Victory! Friender, how about that? We managed to get an elimination!"
Hearing no response, Casshan looked around. "Friender?"
Nearby, a now worried Mega Man froze. Unbeknownst to the Cyborg, Mega Man had accidentally bumped into the robot dog, and seeing no reason not to, quickly pitched him out of the arena.
Hearing the sounds of the owner of said robot dog calling him, Mega Man realized a quick and easy solution, though it made him feel guilty.
"Well, this doesn't do me or him justice but, not like the audience will get to see some great battle between us anyway….."
Following the calls of "Friender!" by Casshan. Mega Man ran at the sound and spun forward using Top Spin, hitting the cyborg a few times, before grabbing him.
Using his Super Arm, Mega Man threw him over the ropes, and to make sure he was eliminated he jumped over them and used Hard Knuckle to spike Casshan into the portal.
Casshan met back up with Friender in The Poll Mine from Jackbox Party Pack 8. It was quickly shown that they were indeed good friends as they managed to find the exit with minimal mistakes.
Jumping back inside the ring, Mega Man sighed guiltily. "Why does this elimination make me feel so bad? Oh, well, not everyone can go out in a blaze of glory, I suppose. But still, I'm better than this, so I'm going to show it!"
Deciding to start another fight, the Blue Bomber rushed off.
King let out a small chuckle as she heard the sound of another axe hitting the canvas.
"You know you can seriously hurt me with those, you know that?" King asked.
Richter scratched his head, hearing the sound of King's voice and throwing out his boomerang, only to miss completely.
"Stay still, won't you!?" Richter said in a frustrated tone.
"Yeah, no. I may not be able to hear your projectiles, but I at least know to always be moving." King replied with a smirk.
Jumping up, she lashed out with a bunch of downward kicks to Richter's face. Richter eventually managed to catch her and throw her back.
The vampire hunter launched his whip out, again missing King, causing him to groan.
King, seeing an opportunity, felt around for the whip and managed to get ahold of it. As Richter pulled it back, King pulled on it aswell causing the two to start a tug-of-war.
Eventually, King wrapped her leg around the whip and pulled again, the extra force letting her win and pull Richter toward her.
Richter bumped into her, but she kept her balance and kicked out her leg a few times at the vampire hunter.
"I win, kid." King proclaimed, smirking.
The bartender did a backflip, kicking Richter in the face upwards into the air, she then jumped up after him.
"Trap Shot!"
King kicked outward, launching a blue projectile from said kick, it collided with Richter and sent him falling with return impossible.
Richter landed in Castlevania Judgement, where he helped his…different looking ancestor Simon take down Dracula, who screamed blasphemy at the prospect of a 2v1 fight in what is supposed to be a 1v1 fighting game.
As King landed, Skull Kid's invisibility spell wore off again, and the fighter's looked to see who was still around.
During all this, Skull Kid saw what happened, and quickly tried to perform his spell again, only for a ball of grass energy to strike him.
"Enough with the invisibility!" Roserade cried out.
Growling, Skull Kid turned out towards the other fighters.
"Ugh, looks like you're in luck! This is your grace period of a few minutes while I deal with an unwanted interruption!"
As he finished that sentence, Roserade charged at him, it's arm dripping with poison and now looking more like a blade.
Using Poison Jab, Roserade ran it's arm into Skull Kid, causing him to crash into the canvas.
Getting up, Skull Kid aimed a ball of dark energy at Roserade, only for him to be surrounded in a purple aura, which caused him to cry out in pain and cough uncontrollably for a few seconds.
"Ugh, what…what happened? What is this?" Skull Kid asked in-between coughs.
Tatl shook in worry before circling Skull Kid. "This must be Poison Point! It's one of Roserade's abilities! When it uses a contact move, the opponent has a 30% chance of becoming poisoned!"
"30%!? Just my luck, huh?" Skull Kid remarked, looking at Roserade, who stood at him with it's arms crossed.
"Well, looks like we'll have to enter desperation mode a bit early! If I'm going out soon, I'm taking you with me!"
Pulling out a flute from a Twilight Princess incarnation of the Skull Kid, he played a note on it, summoning a puppet which charged at Roserade.
Avoiding the first slash from the puppet, Roserade used Dazzling Gleam, emitting a powerful flash that struck the puppet and caused it to disappear.
Just as it did this though, Skull Kid ran at it and charged up his fist in dark energy, uppercutting Roserade away.
Roserade recovered while in the air and began to surround itself and Skull Kid in a green aura.
Skull Kid looked confused for a second before crying in pain again, the green aura having drained a bit of his energy and used it to restore Roserade.
"Giga Drain!" Tatl cried out.
Just when it finished, Skull Kid once again felt the poison drain more of his energy as he winced under his mask and went into another coughing fit.
"I see what that Pokémon is trying to do, I will see to it's defeat before it gets me! Tatl! Tael! Charge it!"
The fairies did as they were told and flew as fast as they could at Roserade, who managed to avoid their charge.
Trying again, the two flew at the Pokémon, but again it dodged.
"You two! Back to me!"
This turned to be a distraction, as Skull Kid played a few notes on his ocarina, which summoned a dark tornado in front of him that picked up Roserade.
Being a Grass-type, the wind had a slight hurtful effect on Roserade, who let out a few groans of pain as it swirled around in the tornado.
Soon enough, a meteor came crashing down into Roserade, causing an explosion once it hit the ground and blasted it away.
Roserade cried out in pain as it hit the canvas, the burning effect from the meteor leaving it close to fainting.
"Ha!" Skull Kid started before entering another coughing fit, after it finished, he continued. "Told ya I'd take you with me! Now to end this!"
Shaking his head violently, Skull Kid summoned a ring of dark energy in front of him.
But just before he could continue the attack, the poison kicked in again, stopping it short and causing him to fall to the ground.
Getting up, Roserade quickly saw it's chance, but so did Tatl and Tael.
"Tatl, quick! We can't let it eliminate Skull Kid!" Shouted a panicking Tael.
The two fairies again charged at Roserade, who used Dazzling Gleam again, which sent them flying away.
Watching them get sent flying, Skull Kid quickly got up and tried to uppercut Roserade again, who ducked and launched a Shadow Ball at the masked forest child.
Hitting the canvas, Skull Kid again tried to get up, only for the poison to kick in once more, sapping the last of his energy and causing him to fall back down, unconscious.
Roserade nodded to itself, it's plan having worked, it then shoved Skull Kid under the ropes.
Skull Kid landed in Shadow of Destiny, only he ended up falling in front of Eike Kusch instead of on top of him, much to his relief.
Seeing their friends elimination, Tatl and Tael flew toward Roserade.
"Well, congrats! You beat us today, but don't count it happening again! Come on, Tatl! Let's head to the Recovery Room!" The two fairies then flew back up the ramp and past the curtain.
Seeing them leave, Roserade stood still for a few seconds, using Synthesis to heal and recover for a few seconds.
(Dome; Boiler Room)
Opening the door to the room, Skarlet quickly saw the smirking face of Jedah, who upon seeing her, grinned.
"Ah, Skarlet! Bison told me you were coming, and at an opportune time! I needed an extra hand for a few things I have in mind."
Skarlet nodded. "I wish only to serve."
"Good, the others are out searching for the Triforce pieces, except for Lord Raptor, Bison said he had an offer for him, no doubt it involves the bounty of Juri's head. Anyway, I need you to carry out a few tasks. You see? I am not so trusting of the other villains, and I'm aware of the power that Bison seeks to possess, I do not plan on remaining loyal to a fault, I seek to have more pieces than anyone else, no doubt it's power will enable me to force the other into submission and hand over their pieces. So what I want is this, intercept anyone not in my group and take their pieces, and if not that, let me know who finds one, I will have my lackeys handle it, we have an advantage that they do not know of your service to me. So, is it a task up your alley?"
Skarlet took a minute to understand what her mission was before nodding. "It is a simple task for one of capabilities like mine, I shall see to it that your will is carried out."
Jedah's grin grew wider. "Excellent."
Unbeknownst to the two, the door to the Boiler Room slightly opened and closed, quietly so as to not alert the two.
Outside, the woman from before materialized again from being invisible. "It doesn't seem like these villains will be loyal to each other, at the same time, maybe it's just Jedah, and we can use that to our advantage somehow."
The woman then saw Zomom and Zazz down by the end of the hallway, looking for something.
"At the same time, perhaps I should get some information out of everyone, before I officially join this little plot."
Walking toward the two, she activated her cloaking ability again.
(The Arena)
With everyone visible again, that meant no need to rely on sound or other means of seeing, so the remaining fighters quickly resumed whatever fights they were having before.
Talbain howled as he rushed forward shaking off all the rats that covered him, and attempted to do a leaping kick at the girl, who ducked and gave a swift kick to the back.
Not flinching, Talbain moved fast in order to not become covered with rats again.
"You're not a fighter, are you?"
Cleo shook her head slightly. "Not really, I let my rats do what I would call my "fighting". Being perfectly honest, I'm surprised I was given this chance, Bloodsport or Harley Quinn seemed more equipped for this."
Talbain let out a "Huh." Before pulling out his nunchakus and swinging them at Ratcatcher II.
Backing away, Cleo aimed her rat device at Talbain, who again outran them while running at her, slashing his claws.
Ratcatcher II ducked before pressing her foot into his stomach. The wolfman groaned before putting a hand to where Cleo had struck.
As Ratcatcher II was about to wave her rat device on him, Hsien-Ko jumped from behind Talbain and swung her claws at her, when she missed, she launched a blade out of her sleeve, which managed to trip Cleo up.
Hsien-Ko smiled and shot her arm upward, an anvil appeared in it in place of her claw.
"Tenrai-Ha!"
The anvil dropped down out of her sleeve, causing it to rain spike balls all around her, a few nearly caught Ratcatcher II though she managed to evade.
"That is enough out of you!"
Grabbing one of the spike balls, she hurled it as best as she could at the Chinese ghost girl.
The ball sadly didn't get very far, as Talbain jumped over, grabbed it and hurled it right back at her.
Ducking after it hit the canvas and bounced over her, Cleo turned to Sebastian.
"We do not have the means to get rid of them through strength, so we will use another way! Sebastian, jump onto the blue-skinned girl now!"
Doing as he was told the rat, leaped onto Hsien-Ko, climbing onto her face and causing her to flail about.
"Hey! Get off! Ah!"
Seeing Hsien-Ko distracted, Talbain turned back toward Cleo, to his shock, rats were climbing onto him, surprisingly managing to restrain him.
Ratcatcher II smirked. "That was only a few second distraction, but as you could see, a few seconds is all I need."
Forming a makeshift hill, with Talbain restrained at the top, the rats suddenly pushed the wolfman downward, the steepness of said makeshift hill increasing his speed.
As he reached Cleo, she spun her leg out, kicking Talbain and causing him to backflip and land face-first onto the canvas.
Ratcatcher II then aimed her rat device onto Talbain, and then moved it along, casing the rats to restrain and carry him to wherever she was pointing ahead.
Reaching the ropes, she aimed her device over them, and as she did so, the rats carried Talbain over them and stopped, dropping him into the portal.
Talbain landed in Killer Instinct, where he and Sabrewulf engaged in a bloody battle.
Cleo nodded at her elimination before turning around and seeing the rats disperse all over the arena, causing them to effect some fights.
When she turned back to where Hsien-Ko was, she saw Sebastian flying at her, landing on her face.
As Ratcatcher II staggered back, Hsien-Ko smiled as she replaced her claws with blades, aiming them down at the canvas.
"Chireito!"
Hsien-Ko stabbed the canvas, causing her two blades to burst out of it a feet away from her, they then continued retreating and bursting out of the ground in a line.
And unfortunately, Cleo just happened to be in that line, the blades burst out from under her feet, launching her and Sebastian over the ropes to their elimination.
Ratcatcher II and Sebastian landed in Batman: Arkham City, upon hearing what happened to the Ratcatcher of this node, they helped Batman take down Solomon Grundy and The Penguin.
Hsien-Ko breathe a sigh of relief at her elimination, before noticing a few rats beginning to climb on her, she sheepishly shook them off.
Looking around, she saw other fights struggling to continue with the rats interruption, at the same time failing to hear Bowser Jr. tiptoeing behind her.
Venom let out a frustrated screech as he jumped up and used the force of hitting the ground to knock the rats that climbed onto him off.
"Beat Rush!"
Perfectly maneuvering around the rats, Tifa dished out a frenzy of blows to the symbiote, finishing with an punch that knocked him away.
The rats cleared a way for Venom to land, as soon as he did, they once again, began to climb up and nibble on his body, making him swat them all away.
"Enough! Your master is gone, you should have left by now!"
Tifa put her hands on her hips with a smirk. "You're right but since they're still here….Rinoa!"
Tifa ducked, allowing Rinoa to take aim.
"Vega Blast!"
The projectiles narrowly hit Venom, who dodged and shot out webbing at Rinoa, and began pulling her to him.
"Bad move, sorry! Harpy Shoot!"
Aiming her pinwheel directly at Venom's face, she fired another projectile, getting a direct hit, and causing him to let her go.
"Waterkick!"
Crouching, Tifa swept her foot at Venom, knocking him off his feet, she followed up with an upward kick that created a shockwave and again launched him away.
"Angelic Shot!"
As Venom was flying, Rinoa sent out more projectiles at the symbiote, launching him even farther away.
When Venom finally landed, the rats swarmed away before again climbing onto him, since he was a little more out of it, he couldn't shake them off.
Getting up, he tried turning invisible, but the rats gave away his location, and deciding to not waste time getting them off, he morphed his body into a ball and rolled at the approaching Rinoa and Tifa.
"These rats will not be the end of us!" He shouted out as he tried to bowl over the two.
"Sorry, but looks like it will be!" Said Tifa as she looked at Rinoa, who smiled and nodded.
"Meteor Crusher!"
Charging her fists in green energy, Tifa charged at the ball-form of Venom, landing the first punch, she soon followed with a salvo of equally strong punches, finishing with the strongest one and knocking him away.
Rushing over to where he was about to land, Tifa ignited only her right arm in energy but unleashing the finishing blow.
"Dolphin Blow!"
Stopping Venom dead in his tracks with kick, Tifa gave the ball form of Venom a powerful uppercut, that imitated the way a Dolphin leaped out of the ocean every once in awhile.
Venom was launched high in the sky, transforming him back to his humanoid form as he plummeted into the canvas, the rats having now exposed some of the skin of Eddie Brock underneath.
Tifa dusted off her hands before shoving the downed Venom under the ropes.
Venom landed in Mouse Trap from Family Game Night 3, waking up and seeing everyone dressed in mouse outfits was enough to send him into a rage, despite being the wrong animal.
"We were lucky he got a bit distracted by the rats, that could've been way harder." Tifa said, relieved.
"Right, but he did have a point, why ARE they still here, that girl got eliminated, so…"
They were interrupted by the sound of Luigi breaking his Smash Ball behind them, to their shock.
"You want the-a rats gone? Well, here we-a go!"
Activating his Final Smash, Luigi pulled back out the Poltergust, whose settings had been switched to the highest setting and began sucking up all the rats near him.
Rinoa, Angelo, and Tifa realized that they were being pulled toward the Poltergust, in a rush, they lunged for the ropes, Tifa managed to grab on, but Rinoa and Angelo weren't so lucky.
Tifa could only reach out futilely as Angelo and Rinoa, as well as the rest of the rats were sucked into the Poltergust, Luigi himself also looked a bit guilty at having sucked up the two.
But there was nothing he could do now as the Poltergust shot out all the rats, as well as Rinoa and Angelo far out over the ropes with no chance of returning.
Rinoa and Angelo landed in The Wizard of Oz, where they ended up spending the ten minutes with Dorothy and Toto, becoming good friends in the process.
Back in the ring, Luigi gulped as he looked at Tifa, who obviously didn't look happy.
"I….I was just trying to-a help!" He exclaimed, panicked.
Tifa sighed. "I know." Her look then turned stern. "But instead of flying into a rage, I'm gonna keep my cool, so how about we'll see if you can eliminate us both."
The younger Mario brother breathed a sigh of relief that he wouldn't get pummeled before getting into position to fight.
(Hotel; First Floor Hallways)
The four heroes met up again, looking as if they had been idiots, while searching for Ganondorf, it had become quite clear to them that they were likely too late.
"Now what? We probably lost him…" Link said with a bit of actual sorrow.
Zelda looked down. "It is a shame, but I believe it was probably too late from the beginning, we're wasting precious….."
Looking to the door into the lobby, she saw Ganondorf's tall form following Hypno. Elated, she called out.
"There! There he is!"
The four turned to look at the two walking off, and were about to go after him, until they realized Hypno's presence and what it likely implied.
"That's Hypno, I believe we're too late." Lana said as she watched the two disappear.
Zelda sighed. "She is right, however, we may yet be able to free him, Freya & Luna from the Recovery Room, they may have some kind of magic that we can use to break the Pokémon's and Bison's hold on him."
Link thought of it. "It's a big assumption, but we do not have many options. Let's go, the more time we take, the more time Ganondorf is spent in a And I Must Scream state!"
The four then rushed off, hoping to find some way to free Ganondorf.
(The Arena)
Linkle fired multiple arrows at King Dedede, who simply sucked them all up before shooting them back at her.
Dodging them, she decided to try a bomb arrow, which again got sucked up by the penguin king.
Putting her crossbows away, and pulling out her boots, she ran at King Dedede and did a few spinning kicks to his face before he could spit the bomb arrow out at her.
The bomb arrow exploded while inside him, while astoundingly not leaving a lethal effect, it did cause him to skid back a bit.
Touching his face, King Dedede cast a glare at the green-clad farm girl.
"You have some nerve trying to muck up my beautiful complexion! I shall see to your elimination at once!"
Seeing a few rats scurrying about, King Dedede sucked them up and spit them at Linkle.
Linkle yelped, as she tried to avoid the rats, but the amount of them quickly overwhelmed her and got knocked back.
Dedede ran forward and looked to bowl over her, but she got back out her arrows and managed to stop him in his tracks.
Uncurling, Dedede thought of a plan, he got out a gordo and knocked at Linkle, who knocked it back harder.
Grinning, he caught the gordo on his hammer and slammed it hard into the canvas, causing a shockwave that threw Linkle off balance.
Dedede ran over and grabbed her, before throwing her into the air.
"Not today!" Linkle shouted in defiance as she dived downwards and gave Dedede a kick to the face again, following with a few more spinning kicks, finishing with a flip kick.
Hitting the ground, Dedede wiggled back up before noticing that he had a small gash on his face, he stared at the red liquid in horror before shooting a dark glare at Linkle.
"That's it! You're gone! No one makes me bleed my own blood!"
Linkle tried to go for another kick, but Dedede caught her and threw her upward again, he then jumped up and spun his hammer around, hitting Linkle up more.
Dedede then grabbed her and slammed her hard into the canvas, noticing more rats around them, he again began sucking more up.
Just as Linkle stood up, she was bombarded with more rats before Dedede grabbed her and threw her over the ropes.
Linkle landed in Farmville, being the farm girl she is, she decided to help out the player by herding the chickens.
"Good riddance." Said King Dedede as he wiped the blood off his face.
Looking around he saw that only half of the fighters remained, noting he already got two eliminations caused him to shrug and watch a few of the fights going down.
"Spark Web!"
With a wave of his staff, Lukius summoned a ball of electricity around Zidane, shocking him and bringing him to one knee.
"I thought this would be easy! Air Thrust!"
Another wave of his staff summoned sharp wind blades that lifted up Zidane and slashed him multiple times.
Falling to the canvas, Zidane panted and slammed his fist into the canvas, gaining a second wind, he dashed forward and collided with Lukius.
"Stellar Circle 5!"
Spinning and creating another tornado around himself, Zidane's attack picked up Lukius and with a strike from his short swords, sent him flying.
Lukius gasped as he got up and saw Zidane again dashing toward him, he knew he needed to take back control of the fight.
"Thunder Blade!"
Lukius summoned a blade that fell from the sky and created a shockwave around it.
Zidane knew better and dashed to the side to avoid the attack.
"Rumble Rush!"
Zidane struck Lukius a few times with his short swords, winding up for the final blow, Zidane swung his sword at Lukius, only for the brother of Caius Qualls to hold him staff to parry the blow.
Surprised, but not deterred, Zidane hopped onto the staff and leapfrogged over Lukius, kicking him in the back of the head.
"Swift Attack!"
Again, Zidane attacked with his short swords, but he then combined them back together to spin and slash at Lukius for the final hit, sending him back.
Skidding along the canvas, Lukius gritted his teeth before he cast another arte.
"Cyclone!"
Lukius waved his staff to summon one of the most powerful Wind spells in the Tales series. The tornado sucked in a bunch of the remaining stray rats and also attempted to suck in Zidane.
Zidane plunged his Mage Mashers into the canvas and held on for dear life, managing to survive the tornado's grip as the attack finished.
"Scoop Art!"
To Lukius' surprise, Zidane survived and swung his sword up to hit him into the air, before jumping up above of him and kicked him hard back down.
Slamming into the canvas, Lukius struggled to get up while Zidane floated down in front of him.
"No, don't end this yet, my node needs the eliminations…"
Zidane sighed and shrugged. "Sorry, I can't award pity points, you gotta earn it."
Zidane then booted Lukius out of the ring, who futilely tried to hold up his staff to block the blow.
Lukius landed in SOMA, where unfortunately his loud entrance immediately alerted The Construct of his presence…
Falco fired a shot from his blaster at Espio, but the ninja flipped out of the way.
"So, you understand now? That I'm not the one you call "Leon"?"
Falco rolled his eyes as he put away his blaster. "Yeah, yeah, the teasing I got from that little mistake got old quick. But I still am looking beat you this time, without any of your friends to back you up!"
Using Falco Phantasm, the avian pilot dashed at Espio, who jumped back and kicked at Falco's face.
Falco caught Espio's foot and dragged him down, giving him a few chops and dazing him.
Smirking, Falco then began spinning at Espio, his wings proving to have quite a bit of a sharpness to them, after he finished, he threw one last chop to send Espio away.
Falco leaped into the air, diving at Espio as he got up, the pilot lashed his foot out in a drill kick.
"OW!"
Both Falco and Espio flew back, but Falco looked more in pain as Espio got up in confusion.
"Ugh! Why did I do that?! Frick, I kicked into your horn!" Falco said as he tried to stand up only to aggravate his injury and fall back down to the ground.
Espio shook his head, before running at Falco, intending to kick him out of the ring.
But, Falco rolled out of the way and fired his blaster, stunning Espio and allowing him to sweep his legs out.
Getting back up, making sure to not use the direct center of his feet, Falco charged himself up with fire and shot himself forward.
Seeing Falco barrelling at him, Espio looked behind him to see a herd of rats still looking around for food. A lightbulb went off in his head.
Espio jumped out of the way, and right as Falco stopped and realized it and turned around, the chameleon had kicked him into the heard of rats.
As he flew back, Falco pulled out his blaster, only for Espio to threw a kunai at it, breaking it and pinning it into the ground.
Falco fell into the rat herd and was immediately swarmed, though he tried to struggle and get free.
Espio then used his Leaf Swirl to summon a tornado of leaves to carry Falco off the ground, once he was in the air, a kick to the torso was all it took to send the avian over the ropes.
Falco landed in SpyParty, still struggling to stand without feeling immense pain, he elected to sit in a wheelchair for the ten minutes, after a few rounds he ended up shooting the player controller the sniper, which quickly made things a bit complicated.
(Hotel; Third Floor)
Lord Raptor growled as he turned his arm into a type of bony drill, to which Kano grabbed it and used to give him momentum In kicking him in the face.
Staggering back, Raptor pulled out his guitar and used the head mounted on it to fire a laser at Kano.
Kano scoffed at this, ducking under it and firing his own laser at the head ornament, eventually causing it explode.
Raptor gasped as he looked at the damage.
"Mate, that damage is gonna cost more than whatever Bison is gonna pay me, so I'll take some of your money after I'm done with ya!"
Covering himself in electricity, Raptor turned into a ghoul and laughed as he dashed forward.
Kano was shocked and launched down the hallway. Getting up, he saw Raptor get out his guitar and played a screeching tune.
Ignoring the pain, Kano rolled into a ball and flew at Raptor, flying hard into his upper chest.
Raptor skidded back, as he recovered, Kano pounded on his cybernetic heart, causing it to double up on energy.
Kano then used his cybernetic heart to pull Raptor toward him, allowing him to throw a bottle of flammable liquid at his feet, setting him on fire.
This didn't really affect Raptor at all, who laughed it off before using bony drill to grab Kano and pull him towards him.
Turning his hand into a sharp claw, he surged it with electricity before slashing upwards, shocking Kano and sending him back.
Kano got back up, smirking.
Looking to end the fight, Raptor ran at him and turned into a ghoul again, spinning towards the mercenary.
Kano then grabbed him back the neck before spitting in his face and hoisting him up, he then fell backward, driving his knees into Raptor's spine.
A fierce cry of pain was heard from Raptor as he got up, still trying to keep going he pulled out his guitar again.
Kano shook his head. "Should've stayed down, mate."
Stepping back, Kano sprayed a bunch of deadly chemicals at Raptor, who screamed in pain as it ate away at his body.
Curling into a ball one more time, this time with increased power, Kano slammed into Raptor, sending him into the wall, where he crumbled to the ground, out cold.
"Take my advice. 10 grand? It ain't worth it, you gotta find a better employer who can offer you more."
(The Arena)
"Trap Shot!"
Firing another projectile from her kicks, which ended up missing, King evaded the numerous Poison Jab attempts from Roserade, countering with a few kicks across the body.
"I seen how you eliminated that Skull Kid, I know now to not get hit by your contact moves."
Roserade thought for a second, trying to come up with a plan to win, after a few seconds it had one and nodded to itself.
Holding it's arms out, a few hard shelled seeds came raining down from the sky, causing a few small explosions around King, this move was Seed Bomb.
Noticing what it was trying to do, King looked at where Roserade had been standing, only to see it gone.
"Curses! Where is it?"
After a bit, Roserade jumped at King, who did a leaping spin kick to knock it down.
Dazed, but not dazed enough to remember what it was going to do, Roserade shot out a few seeds that latched onto King.
King looked in confusion at the seeds before she felt a sharp pain from all over her body as her energy was sapped, forming a ball that travelled to Roserade, restoring it's own energy.
As King was down, Roserade gathered a blobby ball of shadows and fired it at King who took the hit head-on.
Groaning, King got up, catching Roserade as it went for another Poison Jab.
Doing a backflip that sent Roserade up, King jumped and launched a series of downward kicks at Roserade, dazing it once more.
Knowing it had to attack, Roserade looked through it's blurry vision and saw a shape it thought to be King and conjured a Petal Blizzard.
The attack disoriented King and gave her a few cuts, not helped by the Leech Seeds taking affect again, sapping more of her energy.
More of it's energy restored and having recovered, Roserade saw it's weakened opponent and sought to end the battle.
Using Petal Dance, Roserade conjured petals in front of it and scattered them at King, sending her staggering close to the ropes.
"Trap Shot!"
An attempt to re-claim the advantage, King shot out another projectile, which Roserade narrowly avoided.
Petal Dance continued, more petals took aim and hit her, sending her even more closer to the ropes.
The fight won, Roserade leaped at King, who attempted to parry the blow only for the Leech Seeds to cause her to fall to her knees, taking her energy one more time and using it to bring Roserade back to full health.
Creating a ball of green energy in it's hands, Roserade shot the Energy Ball at King, causing her to fall back through the ropes and to her elimination.
King landed in Bartender: The Right Mix, she got the highest score multiple times with her skill at mixing drinks.
Roserade couldn't help but smile at it's second elimination, if it kept this up, it could stay for a long while with it's strategy to drain energy from each of it's opponents.
Looking around and doing a head count, Roserade saw that only one more person needed to be eliminated for the section to be over, it curiously looked around to see who it could be.
Hsien-Ko shot out a bomb from her sleeve, Bowser Jr. saw it and threw it right back at her.
Catching it again, the vampire girl threw it in the air, where it harmlessly exploded.
His plan to divert her attention working, Bowser Jr. spun in his shell at her feet, knocking her down to her knees, allowing him to drop kick her in the face.
Problem was, Hsien-Ko didn't really flinch due to his small size, so she got back up and crouched, spinning her claws around at Bowser Jr.
Bowser Jr. retreated into his shell to avoid the attack, it worked, as Hsien-Ko passed over him.
Just as he got out of his shell, Hsien-Ko shot out her blade from her sleeve, catching him and causing him to fall backwards onto his rear.
"Senpuu Bu!"
Hsien-Ko shot a chain into the ceiling, with a small black ball handing at the end of him, the vampire girl held onto it with one hand before spinning her free claw around has she swung.
The Koopa Prince got caught in this attack, but realizing he could use it to his advantage, he tucked into his shell and slammed into a turnbuckle and went flying back at Hsien-Ko.
Hsien-Ko didn't realize what happened until Junior's shell slammed into her stomach.
Ignoring the pain when she realized she caught him, she threw him over the ropes only for him to pop back out and grab onto the ropes.
"Phew. That was close."
He had no time to rest however as Hsien-Ko set her blade out hoping to poke him and make him let go of the rope.
Using the ropes, he launched himself at Hsien-Ko and gave her a kick to the face, but again, his small size meant she immediately recovered.
Seeing this, Bowser Jr. groaned as he saw how this was going.
"This could go on forever, looks like I'll to find another one to steal." He said with a sigh as he held up his third and last Smash Ball.
Hoping into his shell, he spun at Hsien-Ko before coming out and activating his Final Smash for the third time.
Hsien-Ko found herself in the same room that Jano & Charizard had been in before, a glass box overlooking space.
Bowser Jr., again disguised as Shadow Mario, appeared outside the box and painted an X on the walls of it.
Making the same mistake as Jano & Charizard, Hsien-Ko stayed in the X, though it seemed to be hurting her.
Finally, the X exploded, hurling Hsien-Ko into the portal back to the arena that opened up.
The portal spit Hsien-Ko out over the ropes, unable to return due to being too dazed and confused.
Hsien-Ko landed in Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse, the titular character saw her and fell in love, only when he tried to say it, he ended up getting hacked to shreds, this only made him even more smitten.
Junior saw Hsien-Ko's elimination with a bored look on his face.
"Man, I need to find a way to get a different Final Smash, this one has gotten stale. Ah, well, it's a guaranteed elimination either way."
Suddenly, he realized that the section was over. Looking at the survivors, Luigi and Tifa were still sparring, although the green plumber seemed more eager to get the fight over with, Espio was off to the side preserving his energy, King Dedede was at a turnbuckle hitting a gordo back and forth, Roserade was using Synthesis again to make sure it was fully healed, Zidane was practicing a few moves while Sanane twirled her Naginata around, Metaknight was on a turnbuckle studying the remaining survivors while Mega Man was making sure he was ready for a proper fight, still feeling a little bad over how he eliminated Casshan, and finally, Medli was playing a song on her harp.
Taking a deep breath, Bowser Jr. looked back up at the entrance curtain, another section, another step closer to victory…
