Tanya slowly opened her phone and pressed the answer button. The rest of the two covens listening in.
"Hello?"
"Tanya Denali… what a pleasure to speak to you."
"You as well Aro." The blonde spoke slowly clearly wanting nothing to do with this conversation. "May I ask what this call is about?" She asked looking over at her sister, Irina rolling her eyes.
"Hmm… straight to the chase I see. Well, I've heard that your coven has gotten close to the Cullen coven recently. In fact you spend most of the time together." They heard through the phone.
"Yes that is correct. Is there an issue with that Aro?"
"Well it is a lot of vampires together in one area. Could you not be catching any eyes on your family?"
"No Aro. There is only 13 of us, which is under the 15 you require. Plus we don't live together just spend time together. Is that all you called about?"
"13? Who is the thirteenth member?" Aro mused.
"Kate has recently found her mate in Isabella Swan." The blonde cut her eyes towards the brunette sitting in her sisters arms.
"Isabella Swan? The same one who came and saved her mate Edward?" A growl could be heard from the armchair Kate and Bella were sitting in, Bella quickly nuzzling into her mate trying to calm her down.
"Yes Aro however Bella is not mated to Edward, she is mated to Katrina. My sister. IF you don't mind, my family is trying to watch a movie and I wish to join them." Tanya quickly closed her phone and shoved it into her pocket as she turned to her sister and her mate as Bella was running her hands through Kates hair trying to calm her down.
"Katy… you need to calm down. Im here and yours. No one else's." The smaller one whispered into her mates hair. Kate just kept gripping the arm chairs under neath her, her growl increasing in strength. "Kate you need to calm down baby. You're about to break the chair." Just as Bella said that, the arm snapped causing the two to fall out of the chair.
"You saved him from them? Why didn't you just let him die?" Kate growled looking at Bella who just gave her a look and sighed sitting down at Esme's feet.
"I grew from him leaving. I did some stupid reckless stuff but I grew. I cliff jumped because Jake made it seem like fun. He saved me, I saw Victoria swimming towards me under the water and quickly pushed back, smacking my head against the rock. Alice must have seen me jump but not being saved from the water because of Jake and she came back to make sure I was alive. While she was there, we heard about Rose telling Edward what happened. He thought I was dead. He was going to kill himself. I was over him at that point but I needed him to know I was alive, I couldn't… no I WOULDN'T, let him kill him self over me. I couldn't live with that on my conscience."
The last few sentences came out quietly in more of a whisper as the vampire pulled her knees up to her chest. "After I saved him, I told him I was done. I couldn't do it anymore. None of them came back after that…"
Esme hearing that, with her hands already running through brown curls, came out and landed in her lap looking down at the younger girl. "We didn't know you wanted us to darling." She stated as Bella looked up at her, her cheek on her lap.
"I honestly don't even know if I did at the time. I wanted that part of my life over. I had moved on and my life was getting better." The brunette said causing the caramel haired lady to stiffen slightly. Bella noticed the shift and snapped her head up. "No. I didn't mean it that way! I just meant my depression was better. I wasn't in bed all day just staring at the wall. This right here is the best my life has ever been." She added as she climbed up next to her mother figure and nuzzled her head into the crook of her neck.
Esmes posture softened and she went back to running her fingers through the brown hair. Kate, who was still growling slightly stood up and flashed out the door mumbling something about needing to hunt. Bella just cocked an eyebrow at her irate mate and settled down into Esmes arms.
Bella smiled as she felt arms wrap around her an hour later after the Cullens had left as she was sat playing a game with Irina. "Honestly Ree. If you're gonna cheat, I don't wanna play with you anymore." Bella smirked over at her blonde sister. Irina gasped dramatically and put her hand over her heart.
"Never in my days Isabella! How dare you insinuate I was cheating!" Bella for her part just rolled eyes laughing as she leaned back into Kate.
"Hey babe. Need to go upstairs and-" Bella got out before Irina had thrown her controller at the brunettes head.
"At least let me leave first!" She said and bolted off.
"Talk about things." Bella said rubbing her head where the controller hit her. "I was gonna say talk about things." She looked up at her mate who just barked out a laugh and kisses her temple.
"We seem to be alone. Where did everyone go?" Kate asked playing with her mates hands, clearly trying to avoid talking about her little temper tantrum earlier. "It's quiet in here."
"We'll Ree just ran out to avoid hearing us talk? Have sex? Tanya and Laurent went to work. Carmen and Eleanor are off hunting somewhere." The brunette said as she took Kates chin in her hand and making the blonde look up at her, she shifted so she was straddling the blonde. "You know I'm all yours. Right? No one will ever take me away from you. I'm not good at mush but I'll try.
"I have never felt like I could talk to someone about everything. I never opened up to anyone before. You are that person Kate. You are the person I'm able to talk to about what happened with the cullens and my childhood and everything. Not only are you an amazing mate but you are the best friend a vampire could ever ask for. I feel whole when I'm around you. I feel fearless. I feel like nothing can ever hurt me. When I was human my heart would skip a beat when you smiled at me. My breath would hitch when you took my hand in yours for the first time. When I was sick, you were the only person I wanted holding me. Ever."
"When Carlisle told me I may have cancer, you were the first person I wanted to talk about it with. You are the person who can make my whole day better just by being by my side. I can't imagine my life without you anymore Kate. When you ran off earlier I wasn't worried because I knew you would come back. I can trust you to always come back."
Kate let out a breath she didn't need as venom pooled in her eyes. All she could do was nod before she pulled Bella in for a breath taking kiss. The two finally pulled away and Bella tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
"I love you so much Bella. I'm sorry I snapped. It's just… Edward sets me off in a way I never expected. It must be the beast inside me telling me to end anyone who says otherwise. Maybe it's because you were with him first but…" Kate took an unnecessary breath and smiled at Bella. "You're right. You are mine. And I'm yours. Nothing will ever change that."
Bella nodded and buried her head into the crook of the blondes neck before Kate was being pulled up by Tanya who was standing next to a bouncing Irina.
"We have something to do. We'll be back later." Kate's face smile turned into a smirk as she realized what was happening. "Bye Bella!"
Kate ran after her sisters as the two climbed into the car. "Let's go!" The three drove into town. They looked around and finally found their destination. They parked the car and got out, garnering stares from the people around them. They set off into the direction of the store.
They heard the ringing of the bells above their head as they walked up to the counter. Kate smiled at the clerk and put a card on the counter in front of him.
"I'm here to pick up a delivery for Denali." The clerk smiled and pulled out the object of interest and opened it up. The three vampires gasped as they looked at it.
Kate smirked knowing it was exactly the kind of ring that Bella would want
