Ah, another day another chapter. I've been waiting to write this chapter for some time know so I hope you enjoy it!
Sasuke P.O.V.
They're 10 in this now btw.
"Mum" I shouted running down the stairs.
"Yes honey?" I heard as I neared the kitchen.
I suddenly got nervous about what my Mum might think of my idea. She noticed my nervousness and knelt down infront of me. "Sasuke dear what's wrong you don't seem like youself?" She asked.
I took a deep breath. "If I asked for two rings that looked like engagement rings but weren't...what would you say?" I asked a curious yet hinting tone in my voice.
She looked at me in surprise and after a moments silence she met my eyes with a soft smile and said "Are they going to be for little Naruto dear".
Of course she would know. "Y-yeah they are" I breathed letting out a relived sigh I didn't know I had been holding. She smiled at me and rushed to get her wallet and purse.
"I'll be back with them soon honey and tell Ita to go and get naruto to meet you in 2 days at the meadow!" She called out as she rushed through the front door, shutting it behind her.
I sighed. 'This wait was gonna be painful' I thought hearing Itachi coming through the front door.
Two painful day filled with paranoia and restlessness later the rings finally came. "Sasu-Kun I'm back with the rings!" Called Mum from downstairs. I leapt from my bed and raced down taking care to avoid hitting myself with the banister as I used it as a rounding pole. When I got to the kitchen I jumped into my Mums arms thanking her over and over again. I couldn't thank her enough thats how grateful I was!
My Mum just laughed and looked at her watch. "You had better get ready honey otherwise your going to be late and we wouldn't want that now would we?" She told me. I nodded grabbed the box and with a kiss on her cheek I took off to get ready.
Half an hour later I was out the door with money for ramen and the box with the rings in my pockets. "Sasuke-kun!" I hear and turn to see some girls waving at me. Mum told me not to ignore me and I know better than to reject a womans advice. I waved back at them and quickly hurried off.
I walked my feet bouncing with excitment but my chest bursting with butterflies. I walked taking in everything around me. The palnts, the trees and the wild life. The sun was was shining through the green leaves and the wind was cool. Enjoying my walk I came to the clearing of the meadow and Naruto was already there. I took a deep breath to calm my nerves and walked into the field towards Naruto.
'Looks like his Mum really did dress him up, perfect' I thought. He was wearing a peach kimono with his clans symbol in faded orange. In his hair was a clip decorated with a golden chain and three orange beads. He was absolutely stunning. I myself had aslo dressed for this occasion but what I'm wearing isn't improtant right now.
walking slightly faster I got to his spot and sat down. "Hey Teme!" He said as I got comfortable.
"Hey Dobe" I greeted back. Realising I had no need to make myself comfortable I stood back up and offered a hand out to the blonde fox. He looked at me with a silent question in his eyes but took the hand anyway. I took a deep breath.
Got down on one knee.
Took the box out of my pocket.
And said,"Naruto Uzumaki will you date me and promise to marry me when we're older?" I asked looking him straight in the eyes a look of determination and seriousness on my face.
He brought his hand to his mouth tears welling up in his eyes. "Sas- I-" He stuttered.
"YES" He finally shouted tackling me with a hug. We laughed in each others embrace. The rest of the day we just sat around talking and laughing about random things until it was time to go home. We reluctantly got up hugged one last time and turned our separate ways.
Naruto P.O.V.
"Mum! Dad! I'm home!" I shouted running into the kitchen my Kimono fluttering behind me.
"Hi son how was it?" My Dad asked with a grin.
"It was great!" I grinned back "Sasuke and me are now dating and he promised me we'd get married when we're older" I finished showing my ring to them.
"Oh my god Naru that ring is so cuteeeee" My Mum cooed grabbing hand and twisting the ring around my finger "And I'm so happy for the both of you" She added letting my hand fall back to my side.
Later that evening I lay on my bed holding the ring on my hand up above my head, examining it, replaying todays events in my mind.
"Well Kit looks like you had fun today" Came Kuramas voice in my mind.
Smiling softly I answered 'Yea I had a lot of fun'.
"You might want to put that ring on a chain so that you can wear it whenever you want but still keep it hidden" She advised me.
'Thats actually a great idea Kurama thanks!' I thanked her greatful for the advice. I silently got up and padded over to my desk where I had some necklaces and picked out a silver one two charms on, the Uzumaki clan symbol and the Uchiha clan symbol which my parents and Sasukes had given me for my 9th birthday. I carefully slipped the ring on and put the necklace back onto its peg then turned back to my bed, said goodnight to Kurama and faded into sleep.
"Night Kit" Came the faint reply from the chakra mass of a fox.
