Chapter 30:

Sasuke quickly approached the cave, glad he kept up his invisibility. He had a feeling that Kabuto would still be able to feel his presence, but that didn't really matter. Once he got to the cave he gave it a once over. It didn't appear to be too deep. Activating his Susano, Sasuke fired a few Fireballs into the sky. Anyone who knew him would know what Sasuke was planning. Once the sky had darkened enough, Sasuke knew he was ready. He silently apologized to any animals around before his hand was covered in lightning. It wasn't his normal Chidori but that much would be obvious to any onlookers, had there been any. He raised his arm up towards the sky, a giant dragon head appeared out from the clouds. "Kirin." He quickly slashed his arm down and the dragon roared towards the cave. It slammed into the roof, breaking the rocks below it.

Kabuto felt the ground shake as he grabbed the last bottle containing some flesh. He froze as he felt a familiar presence. If Sasuke was outside the cave, that meant he was going to try and kill Kabuto. Not wanting to die, Kabuto summoned a snake. He got in its mouth right before rocks began to fall around him. Knowing, and not really caring that the snake was going to die, Kabuto summoned a small Rashomon. It would only protect him if the snake wasn't enough. Sure enough, the snake's now dead body began to cave in. The Rashomon managed to keep the snake from collapsing in on Kabuto. Kabuto stayed still until the shaking stopped. He waited with a bated breath, hoping Sasuke would think he was dead.

Sasuke wasn't stupid. Kabuto could hide his presence as much as he liked, but Sasuke knew he was there. He really wasn't in the mood to go digging, but he wasn't going back to Konoha empty handed. He bit his finger and slammed it on the ground. Several snakes appeared. Sasuke gave a silent promise that this would be his last time ever summoning snakes. The small snakes squeezed through the rubble until they found the giant snake's dead body. They then let off a strange smell, letting Sasuke know exactly where they were.

Kabuto smelt the strange odor and knew what it meant. He tried to summon another snake, but the jutsu failed. He didn't have enough chakra. There wasn't enough time to gain the chakra he needed either. Lost in his thoughts, trying to find a way out, he didn't hear Sasuke's footsteps.

Sasuke stopped and reached down, pulling a few rocks away from the dead snake. He stepped back, deciding that Amaterasu would be faster. The rocks were set ablaze by the black flames, quickly making work of the debry. He stopped the flames, making them vanish when they got to the snake. Using his sword, he pried its mouth open. Seeing Kabuto, he couldn't help but smirk evilly. "Found you." He grabbed Kabuto by his shirt and pulled him out of the snake's mouth. He tossed the man to the ground, retrieving Kusanagi.

"S-sasuke," Kabuto stuttered. "How nice to see you. I was just thinking that maybe I'd…"

"I don't care what you have to say for yourself," Sasuke said. "You're going to die right here and now." Kabuto tried to beg for his life, but Sasuke wasn't hearing it. Kabuto threw the bottle he was still holding at Sasuke, but it did nothing to slow him down. With a screech and an attempt to get up and run away, Kabuto fell face first into the ground. Sasuke shook his head at his patheticness. He didn't really want to give Kabuto any mercy, but he knew that everyone in Konoha wanted this to just be over and done with. Raising his sword, Sasuke decided to add a little fire to it so Kabuto would feel at least a little pain. He swung Kusanagi down, cutting Kabuto's head clean off. Just in case, Sasuke stabbed Kabuto's heart. He didn't want a repeat of Orochimaru. Once he was sure that Kabuto was dead, he burned the man's body with Amaterasu and placed his head in a bag. Not wanting to carry the thing around, he summoned a hawk. The hawk took to the sky, carrying the head towards Konoha.

Sasuke tapped into the small amount of Naruto's chakra he had left inside himself, activating a teleportation jutsu. He ended up standing right in front of the blond. Naruto smiled at Sasuke, who couldn't help himself. He tugged the other forwards into a kiss. Naruto was a little surprised, but he didn't hesitate to kiss the raven back. When they separated, Sasuke motioned to the hawk flying above them to show his proof of Kabuto's demise. Naruto smiled again before the cheering suddenly started. The shinobi that had been still outside of Konoha had returned to see their heroes' obvious victory. Bee and the others got back a few seconds later, joining in on the cheering. Not wanting to waste anymore time, everyone started heading toward the barrier. Naruto opened up a door, letting everyone inside. When asked why he didn't bring the barrier completely down, he simply stated that it was just in case there were any Sound stragglers.

Tsunade set Jiraiya to let the citizens know that they could return home. Sasuke went to the Uzumaki Compound, but it looked like they already knew about their victory. Naruto went to the hospital with Tsunade to check in on Karin and the others. Tsunade looked over Karin, telling the red-head that she looked into seeing if there was any way to help her. Suigetsu agreed with Karin that if her eggs were saved, they'd look into surrogacy when the time came. They weren't in any rush to have children. Sasuke brought the rest of the Konoha thirteen as well as their senseis, Bee, Juugo, and A to the hospital. Sasuke threw a box at Suigetsu who once more got down on his knees to propose to Karin. The men covered their ears as the girl let out their cries of excitement over the ring. Sakura instantly volunteered herself and Ino as bridesmaids as well as wedding planners. Tsunade allowed the excitement to continue for another hour before calling those able to still stand into her office. A and Gaara stood at her side, making it clear that whatever the blond woman was about to say was very important. She was even wearing her Hokage uniform. A and Gaara were also wearing their respective Kage uniforms.

"Naruto," Tsunade said in a commanding voice. "Sit down."

Naruto took the only offered seat. He had no idea why he was here. He had been hoping to rest with Sasuke at home. Sasuke, Itachi, and Kurama also didn't know where this was going. "What's wrong, Obaa-chan?" Tsunade gave him a stern look. "Um… I mean… is something wrong, Hokage-sama?"

"There is," Tsunade said. She motioned to Gaara who used his sand to keep Naruto against the chair. Everyone knew that Naruto could easily break through Gaara's sand, but Naruto didn't even try. "We've talked to the other Kage in our alliance and we've come to an agreement." Tsunade stood up and walked over to Naruto. "It is time that I step down as Hokage."

Naruto's eyes widened. "But why? You're still young…"

"I know brat!" Tsunade yelled. She saw the grin on Naruto's face and couldn't help but flick his forehead. Luckily, it just shook the chair instead of sending the boy flying. "But with this last battle, it became clear that I'm not the strongest shinobi in Konoha. The title of Kage belongs to someone else."

The rest of Team Kitsune and Shikamaru instantly caught on to what Tsunade was saying. Naruto was still confused as to why Tsunade thought this meant she couldn't be Hokage anymore.

"As much as it pains me to say this, but I'm going to retire," Tsunade said with sarcasm slipping easily into her words. "And that means we need a new Hokage."

"Obaa…" Naruto began.

"A few suggested Kakashi," Tsunade lied. "But the overwhelming truth is that Kakashi is not fit to be the Sixth Hokage." She removed her Hokage hat. "The youngest Hokage was Minato at twenty-one years old. However, it seems that record is about to be broken."

"Can we stop beating around the bush?" A asked. Gaara nodded in agreement.

"You two are no fun," Tsunade scoffed. She pushed her hat onto Naruto's head. "Naruto, you've been selected as the Sixth Hokage."

Naruto's jaw dropped. He had a feeling this was what Tsunade was going to say when she said Kakashi wasn't fit. But was he ready to become Hokage. He looked over at the rest of Team Kitsune only to see Itachi and Sasuke bowing in their Clan way. Kurama was also bowing, trying to copy Itachi. Everyone else was bowing in the normal shinobi way. He turned back to see Tsunade, A, and Gaara giving him their Kage bow. "I… I don't know what to say."

"Say you accept, Dobe," Sasuke said.

Naruto pouted before a smile took over his face. "I'll do my best."

"Good," Tsunade nodded. Gaara retracted his sand, allowing Naruto to stand. "Now get out of my office. Your inauguration will be in a week."

"Don't you mean my office?" Naruto asked with a grin.

"It's mine for another week," Tsunade said. "Now get out before I make you."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Naruto began to head for the door, only for an empty bottle of sake to come flying towards him. He tilted his head to the side, missing the bottle. He turned around and stuck out his tongue at Tsunade before grabbing Sasuke's hand and teleporting away. Itachi and Kurama looked at each other before doing the same. Gaara and A just shook their heads as everyone else quietly left the office.

"Will you be staying here?" Tsunade asked.

"I'll be staying with Neji," Gaara said. His sand surrounded him and then he was gone.

"If Bee is healed enough, we shall return to Kumo," A said. "If not, I'll be leaving alone."

"I'm sure Naruto won't mind you stealing one of his clones again," Tsunade smirked.

"Hm," A grunted.

The moment the door closed behind them, Sasuke was sticking his tongue down Naruto's throat. Naruto moaned, not really minding the rough treatment. When they pulled back to catch their breath, Sasuke's hands went to Naruto's butt and he gave those round globes a hard squeeze. Naruto let out a yelp as Sasuke smirked. Naruto pouted, but the pout was whipped right off his face when he felt a hand slip into his pants. "S-sasuke."

"Hn," Sasuke grunted. He slowly took a step backwards, dragging Naruto with him. They made their way slowly towards their bedroom, careful not to fall down the stairs. Once they reached their bedroom, Sasuke pinned Naruto to the bed. He kissed him, letting a hand slip under his shirt. Naruto let out a moan of approval as Sasuke yanked the shirt up. Not really caring about his clothes, Naruto allowed his body to get hot enough to burn through them. Sasuke arched an eyebrow as he watched the clothes melt. Both made a look of disgust at the smell. Naruto told himself to never do that again.

A Clone popped up out of nowhere, spraying the room with a lemon scent. It then vanished, leaving the two alone again. Sasuke didn't question it and decided to simply continue exploring Naruto's body. Naruto began to get impatient and yank on Sasuke's shirt. "Please." Knowing what Naruto wanted, Sasuke ripped his shirt off, toss the pieces to the floor. His pants joined then not even a second later. Realization made its way across Naruto's face. "Sasuke, I could hurt you."

"I don't care," Sasuke said. "Do it." Naruto bit his lip. "Naruto, I trust you." Naruto looked into Sasuke's eyes and he knew that the raven wasn't lying. Naruto stood up and dropped his Henge, letting the red streaks of his hair reappear as well as his claws and fangs. He then pulled on his Demonic Chakra, showing Sasuke the form he wanted. Sasuke was hit with the huge amount of Chakra and he called up his Susano. He made it smaller, enough that it protected him from Naruto's Demonic Chakra, but not so it would get in the way with what he had planned. Sasuke walked over to Naruto and smashed their lips together. They could taste each other's chakra, but that didn't deter them. Sasuke pushed Naruto onto their bed. Naruto spread his legs before wrapping them around Sasuke's back. The kiss continued until they needed oxygen. Sasuke didn't waste time in slamming his cock into Naruto's hole. The two looked at each other, both wanting to just leave, but they had a certain pink haired girl on their mind as they hesitantly opened the door. Kurama nearly gagged on the smell as it went by them. Itachi gained the courage to look inside first. On the floor were Naruto and Sasuke, asleep. A blanket covered them enough that Itachi motioned to Kurama that it was ok to look.

"Well I'll be damned," Kurama said.

"What?" Itachi asked.

"They…" Kurama began but a groan interrupted him.

Naruto blinked as he attempted to get up, but a weight on his chest stopped him. "What?"

"Good morning Kit," Kurama said with a toothy grin. He walked over to a window and opened it while Itachi opened the other one. "You've been quite busy for the last three days."

"T-three days?" Naruto asked. 'Did we really… for three days?'

"Yup!" Kurama grinned. "Oi! Uchiha Brat! Wake up!"

Sasuke groaned as he opened his eyes. "What happened?"

"Well brat, it seems you and the Kit decided it was mating season," Kurama said.

"Mating season?" Sasuke and Naruto asked in unison.

Kurama nodded. "Did you forget? Even foxes have a mating season. It looks like this war and the Kit's little powerup jump started yours. I have to say though, I'm surprised since you're not a fox."

"I don't think I want to hear about this," Itachi said.

"But you're a fox," Naruto said. "Why didn't yours start?"

Kurama grinned. "Itachi and I switch off as dominant, making us both Alphas or Betas in the terms of mating. The Brat however is pure Alpha as you are Omega, Kit. In other words, you entered a heat while the Brat entered a rut."

"So you're saying that we had sex, for three days," Sasuke's eyes widened at that, "because we let our animalistic sides come out? I may be a fox, but Sasuke isn't."

"Could it be because of the Curse Mark?" Sasuke asked. "Did it change me?"

"I doubt that's it," Kurama said. "Usually, foxes mate for a minimum of a week. But it looks like both of you have already calmed down. Wait a second. Did you enter your Demon Mode while you did it?" Naruto blushed and nodded. "So that's it. When you entered your Demon Mode, your Demonic Chakra that was left in the Brat was triggered. Your fox self entered into a faux heat because of it. It also forced him into a faux rut. I bet you were using your Sharingan, weren't you Brat?"

"First off, stop calling me Brat," Sasuke said. "And second off, mind your own business. So what if I used my Sharingan?"

"Well Uchiha, that Sharingan of yours has power over the Kit or did you forget?" Kurama growled. "That's what made your Alpha come out, forcing his Omega out as well. Dammit! Why do I have to explain this?"

"Kurama," Naruto called. "What does all of this even mean?"

"Nothing really," Kurama said. "Just that if you aren't careful, you may lose more than just three days. And you may break more than just a bed." Even Sasuke blushed at that. "Just be careful. The Uchiha isn't as unbreakable as you are Kit."

Naruto looked down at that. "Don't worry Dobe. I'm not as fragile as the Idiot thinks." Kurama protested the nickname, but Itachi decided it would be fine to leave Naruto and Sasuke be. He was sure his little brother and future brother-in-law had some talking to do.

Once Itachi and Kurama were gone, Sasuke and Naruto were left sitting in silence. Without another word, Sasuke stood up. Naruto tried to do the same, but his legs gave out. Sasuke caught him before he could hit the floor. Naruto blushed as he realized why he nearly went down. He was in pain, but it was a pleasurable ache as his body knew it meant Sasuke had lost himself in his own pleasure. He was normally very careful not to hurt Naruto too much. But their lovemaking had been rough this time around. Sasuke lifted Naruto up and began to carry him towards the shower. He sat his lover down and helped him get clean.

"Are we really not going to talk about this?" Naruto asked.

"What is there to talk about?"

I want you. Even now I want to pin you to the wall and make love to you on hours end. Kurama and Itachi claimed they were soulmates. And I know we are as well. The bond we have, I never want it to go away." Sasuke slammed a fist against the wall. "Dammit! I don't know how to explain this. The pull I feel when you aren't near me. I know I love you, but it's something more. I thought I made it clear that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Maybe I need more than marriage and that's what our bodies were telling us over these last three days."

At the word marriage, Naruto lunged at Sasuke and kissed him. "Are you saying what I think you are?" Sasuke gulped, blushing. He nodded. "Yes." Naruto kissed Sasuke several times, repeating the word yes over and over again. Finally, Sasuke grabbed Naruto's wrists, pinning to the aforementioned wall. He deepened the kiss, pressing their bodies against each other.

"Dobe, I'll ask you again later, properly. For now, let me love you like I should." Naruto simply nodded, letting Sasuke show him the love he felt for him.
