Chapter 05: Desert Raiders
LOCATION: GHOST TOWN
The scene slowly opens around Castle Gothic, just down in an area was the old abandon ghost town. It was here we slowly spot Team Twilight Moon on the scene. There was Gwen leading her members: Crimson, Ennui, Duncan, Trent, Chet and Lorenzo. So far everyone was moving about either with caution or just calm relax expression especially of where they are heading. As there were a lot of weird howls and moan sounds that gave that extra creepiness.
"Remind me again! Why it felt like a good idea to have, oh I don't know…?" Duncan was slowly talking calmly at first before… "A GHOST TOWN NEAR OUR CASTLE!?" He shouts at the top of his lungs about exploring this dangerous place.
"Maybe cause there was a clue message from Leonard doing a fortune telling to us that we would find something in this town that leads us to something one of us really wants?" Gwen reminds Duncan of their objective in coming to this place to look around and find that which they need.
"Ohhh, I wonder what it could be?" Chet was sounding excited about what they will encounter.
"I bet it's like something really cool we can break!" Lorenzo grins at picturing what they will find.
"Maybe it's to awaken an ancient curse that's been locked away on this island." Crimson states dryly with an emotionless expression on what they can discover.
"Wow, that be pretty awesome to watch a curse in action and how it works." Ennui states in sounding a little happy and excited, in a Goth sorta way.
"I rather skip it! Seeing that while you might survive it, I might have trouble considering everyone's got powers but me." Duncan points off in knowing that he might not be able to keep up considering he's still human.
"Didn't you acquire some Mutagen Capsule Cell? Why haven't you used it?" Gwen raise an eyebrow in recalling that sometime ago, Duncan found a Mutagen Cell and Gwen knew about it.
"Cause, ugh…" Duncan yelps in having secretly held an object in a pouch sack he was using. "Cause I'm not feeling like if I want to take it or not!" The guy protest, trying to not explain too much of his own reasoning behind such action.
"Woah, watch out! Something is moving around this town." Trent stops everyone to warn of spotting some danger ahead.
Everyone listen to Trent, as they saw what it was that they had to be careful of. A group of large creatures Mutant Beast that seem to resemble…toads!? These large amphibians appeared to be about 23 feet tall and apparently weight about 28 tons. They had thick dry brown skin and white-grey underbellies, had two tusk for each mouth side, and orange color eyes. Among them was an even larger toad that had more beast-like features of dark brown skin and black bull-horns along with glowing red eyes.
"Great…just what we need, killer frogs!?" Duncan rolled his eyes in seeing what sort of pest beast they got in front of them.
"Well they are actually toads, but you can tell this is anything but the welcome mate." Trent states from knowing these things are not on a friendly list.
"The children of the dead are on the move." Crimson held out her arms, welcoming such dark creatures.
"It's breath taking. Watching them in their element." Ennui states from feeling memorized in viewing such dark motions.
"Better read out what we're dealing with before we try anything." Gwen informs everyone to try to know the enemy before facing such a threat.
Wasn't long before everyone used their Mutant Scouters to get a good read on the strange toads. After a bit of time, the data was slowly coming in…
MUTANT BEAST: GIGANTOADS 'DOOMED TOADS'
TYPE: MUTANT TOADS
RANK: C
POWER LEVEL: 970
Information: Once ordinary toads until being exposed to polluted chemicals that ended up killing them. But in due time mutated their appearance resembling demonic creatures with spikes, diamond form eye pupils and increase their size to be like elephants. This change cause by new life can almost be as if these toads became undead but are still actively alive. The lead toad is the one with bull-horns like a bullfrog which leads the others. These mutant amphibious, carnivorous monstrosities like to live only in desert region. Their abilities are heighten and change after being mutated and become a deadly threat worse then poisonous frogs. Now they are armed with a tongue able to inflict massive amounts of damage called Tongue Lash. Can perform Gassy Odor Breath which is the ability to release a variety of gasses and odors rendering even the most sturdy of folks weak in the knees.
"Okay, so this is weird? Why are toads from a desert area here?" Gwen raise an eyebrow, finding that creatures that live in another region are around here.
"Probably on a hunt, but what could do that?" Trent raise an eyebrow in questioning the behavior of these toads.
"RIBBIT!?" Suddenly one of the Mutant Beast Toads spotted the group before using it's Tongue Lash to whip them.
"Woah!/Toad-Face!" Lorenzo and Chet yelps as they dodge the attack while the rest jumped or flew.
The group splits off as they soon realize that they were surrounded by the Gigantoads. Knowing the Mutant Toads were launching between tongue attacks to even firing their Gassy Odor Breath all over.
"SPIRAL RAVEN CLAW!" Crimson flew in the air before she raised her sharpen nails on her left arm and perform a rotating charge at the Mutant Beast. "BAM-BAM, BAM!" The impact knock down the mutated toads even if the opponent was small packed a lot of punch.
"STEP BROTHERS COMBINE MOVE!" Then Chet and Lorenzo announced as one gets fired up and the other gets the bandages forth. "BURNING BANDAGE WRAP!" Then the step brothers released multiple bandages with flames that wrapped around the targets.
"RIB-BIT! RIBBIT!?" The Gigantoads yelped from the effect of the fire hurting their skin.
"Hugh, hey I think I saw something weird move into the Saloon!?" Duncan raise an eyebrow in spotting weird figures moving away from the scene. "It sure looked different compared to these weird things we got stuck with?" The guy mentions that compared to these weird Mutant Beast spooks, something else seem much weirder.
"Alright, everyone with me. We may have to finish this before we check out what Duncan saw." Gwen instructs those to quickly finish off those remaining before going towards the Saloon.
"DEADLY GAZE!/THOOOUUhhh…./BOOM!" Ennui unleashed his seven red beam eye blast, blowing up all the remaining targets. "Hmmm, I guess that went a little too fast?" When the guy looked around, all targets were pretty much wiped out.
"Yeah, but it did shave off some extra time. So, thanks…" Trent thanks Ennui for having took care of such a tough looking threat.
"Yeah, well…whatever!?" Crimson shrug off in not sounding emotionally happy.
"So what do you think we're about to find?" Lorenzo ponders about what they may meet along the way.
"It's gonna be something that will scare the daylights out of us!" Chet exclaim in thinking that's what they will come across.
"A Flesh Eating Zombie?" Lorenzo states from believing that's what they should find.
"One Way To Find Out!" Chet states in knowing they can only find out after encountering it.
"Wait! Don't go in…" Gwen tries to stop the Step Brothers, but they ran ahead of everyone. "Without a plan….nevermind." Gwen signed that sometimes, it's hard being the leader with some rebellious group members.
"Well, here's hoping it's nothing too unexpected." Duncan shrug off his shoulders in how things will go with the flow.
Now Twilight Moon enters the saloon, saw that it looked about as empty, filled with spider-webs and creepy theme all over. But then a glass bottle rattle by the bar, Lorenzo used his bandages to grip the front bar to lift it off and soon everyone saw who was hiding out.
The first was a very large big bulky muscular guy with short messy wind-blown orange hair and black dot eyes. Wore brown shoes with white bottom pads and tan light brown straps. He wears blue overhaul jeans with a belt strap going over the shoulders, wore a short sleeve white shirt with grey lining marks on the edges and around the neck area. This guy was known as Rodney, another Total Drama Contestant, known as 'The Country Boy' due to his well built body and life style of having work on a farm. Now Rodney can be very sweet, caring, and empathetic. Unfortunately, his most useful quality is his large size as opposed to his brain. Tends to mistake simple moves from any female contestant, such as offering him food, touching his hand, or warning him about animal feces on the ground, thinking its an act of love, and immediately falls for them. To his credit, he is determined to be monogamous and is considerate of the girl who loses his affections, but the subject never reciprocates his feelings. In fact, the girl in question usually don't even share regular conversations with him. As a result, the girl is usually dumbfounded when he "breaks up" with her. Rodney's quite poetic while in the confessional; however, in the face of a girl, he becomes nervous and has a terrible habit of stumbling over his words until they do not flow together at all.
The second one appeared like a chubby girl with short brown hair and had dark blue eyes. She wore white sneaks with yellow stripes, purple pants, a pink zip-up sweater with tan purple lining and pockets, and wore a red ribbon bow in the air. This one was Staci, another Total Drama Contestant, known as 'The Compulsive Liar' because of her old action. Little info about Staci except that she's infamous for constantly exaggerating about her family, thus making it exceedingly difficult to distinguish fact from fiction when it comes to her background. She appeared to have good intentions but is talkative to an annoying extent. Additionally, she wants to be accepted by her peers and impress people with her lies. Implying that Staci may be socially awkward and may not have many friends.
The last batch was what appear to be lookalike twins which were young skinny boys with brown hair and black color eyes. The first one wears a dark blue hoodie with green being on the inside. He wears dark olive green trousers and maroon shoes with white socks. His hair is slightly springy going up in a sort of circle formation. His eyes are pitch black and he has a few streaks underneath his eyes which possibly resemble eye bags. The second one wears a light blue hoodie with orange being on the inside. He wears dark green trousers and red shoes with grey socks. In addition, wears a helmet making the hair spring upwards rather than forward. They were Jay and Mickey, Total Drama Contestants, known as 'The Adversity Twins' that competed on the Ridonculous Race. What's known about the Identical twins Jay and Mickey, is they don't deal with adversity in life. their life IS adversity. Allergies, phobias, accidents, disorders and ailments are just some of the many obstacles that plague the brothers on a regular basis. Understandably, their personalities are not unlike that of a small, timid animal at the bottom of the food chain; mostly anxiety-ridden. Nevertheless, the two have developed an impressive, 'never give up' attitude which helps them push past their daily servings of tragedy and setbacks.
"Ugh, don't worry guys! I got this!" Rodney yelps to stand up to put his two fist together to look ready to fight. "Okay Monsters! I ain't afraid of you! Well, maybe a little, but…" The big guy was pretty much uncertain about if he should do this or not.
"Wait, is that Mickey and Jay! The Twins from Ridonculous Race?" Lorenzo raise an eyebrow in recognizing those among the group.
"Hmm, I remember them...they seem close to depression for their sad little lives." Crimson looked carefully to state this in an emotional reply.
"Eeek!? The monsters know our name?" Jay screamed in fright, as he held his brother closely.
"Woah chill, it's us…Chet and Lorenzo, and Ennui and Crimson? Remember?" Chet points out of who they are to the worried twins.
"Wait, as in the Step Brothers and the Goths?" Mickey raise an eyebrow in remembering those names from two teams they meant during a race event.
"That would be correct, and as one can see…we have evolved since we last meant." Ennui displayed himself, but many were pretty much spooked because it was like staring at a black skeleton knight from a grim horror tale.
"Hugh, speaking of evolving, my great-great-great-great-great uncle twice removed was once aided the process of studying the different evolutions of man and animal." Staci muttered off to chat about something that sounded a little farfetched.
"Yeah, sure, keep telling yourself that?" Duncan rolled his eyes in knowing when someone is easily boasting and making a tall tale.
"Um, wait…why are you guys running around in costumes with so many weird creatures all over?" Rodney raise an eyebrow in trying to understand what was going on here. "Hugh! Are we on another show that's like a movie set? Dang! I must have fallen asleep when they recruited me?" The guy felt like they were back on TV and he fell asleep that he missed out on what was going on: which sounded familiar to those that heard that.
"The same thing must have happen with us? There was this weird misty cloud stuff?" Jay spoke in having recalled what it was they came to encounter.
"Except it didn't do much to us. But we do remember feeling we bump our heads and fell out cold?" Mickey mentions that the twins were knock out by a different element.
"Wow, that sure didn't happen with me? But going back, my family was involved in some sleeping drug to…" Staci was about to say something that was stretching the truth when…
"Listen, why not settle down and hear us out on what we know, and hopefully you can tell us what you know, okay?" Trent stops everyone during their tracks of confusion to have those here explain the current events happening here.
The four looked to each other before slowly nodding their heads. So now Team Twilight Moon started from the beginning to give those the details on where they are and what's happen, etc.
-STACI'S VIDEO-
"I gotta admit, I thought at first when waking up in some desert. It was like someone's idea of a prank?" Staci states her own thoughts about venturing back into the heated death trap. "But hearing about us being brought on a private island own by a wealthy trillion millionaire, and surviving our new lives against Mutant Beast. It sounds like a farfetched story my great-great-great Aunty Tally made up to scare kids around camp fires. Before that, people would just talk boring stuff." The girl mentions while some parts of it was a little stretched out. "Hugh…I hope that I do better here then I did on Season Four of Total Drama." She sign with speaking a more honest and truthful opinion.
-MICKEY AND JAY'S VIDEO-
"At first, we were very much afraid. We came out of weird capsule beds in the desert." Mickey states about what the brothers experienced the first time they awoke.
"Luckily the heat didn't bother us since our bodies conditions make us impossible to feel hot or cold." Jay states in looking at the brighter side to their conditions.
"But what we were not prepared for was encountering creatures that define logic." Mickey states about what they witness that was beyond anything they believed to exist.
"I'm not even sure if mutated creatures open a new possibility of diseases we yet to encounter?" Jay felt worried about catching something else to leave the twins in much worse state.
"But after thinking about it longer, if modern medicine couldn't help cure us, maybe the answer is here." Mickey perks up to smile in thinking about a second option that cheer them up.
"So maybe if we do well, maybe the wealthy man who has everything can help us live normal lives." Jay spoke in feeling like they might just have a chance to be a little more normal.
That's when the Adversity Twins tried to high-five the other with proud joy. Course they both missed the other, as they are not use to such things.
-RODNEY'S VIDEO-
"I won't lie, I thought about things after my elimination on Total Drama's Sixth Season…or was it the Seventh?" Rodney ponders about out loud on some subjects. "I know I messed up, and I left a lot of broken hearts behind. And when I found myself with some folks, I thought I could lead them…Then we were attacked by mutated creatures, and they beat me up. At first I thought I let those that counted on me down…" The big farmer guy explain his situation, what happened and from having such a close moment of certain doom.
Rodney then began to smile and became all lovey-dovey…
"But then out of nowhere, 'she' came! A strong fighter that managed to hold such wicked beast, she was fast like a cheetah!" Rodney explain this while having such imagination of having fallen in love. "I think I'm in love with the mystery beauty whom I have yet to meet face to face! All I know was she was a red and gold blur…" Yep, the guy was definitely blinded and by a love he's never seen.
THE PRESENT
"Hey!" Duncan called out to Rodney that was looking at something. "Where did you get that?" The guy stares at what appeared to be a wooden skull carving.
"Oh this sacred craved item? The mystery beauty dropped it when she tackled something that almost had us." Rodney replied puzzled while having mention who had this strange wooden skull item.
"That's no ordinary item, that's mine! I made it from Season One!" Duncan issued with a stern expression on having been the owner. "At least, before I gave it to…" Then Duncan hesitated his words from going any further until..
"Hugh, Courtney!? I remember that you gave it to her during Season One when she got eliminated." Gwen lightly gasped in remembering that event of Duncan giving Courtney something when they started to like another back on Total Drama Island. "You guys said this…mystery fighter had this in the desert, right? Can you show us?" Gwen asked in thinking if the item that Courtney kept was found there, then Courtney herself must be close.
"You mean go back to that desert with all those dangerous creatures?" Mickey yelps in knowing what this means they have to do.
"Is this a trick question, cause I think we already have our answer?" Jay asked nervously about answering with a different question.
"No worries, you got us to keep you guys safe." Chet grins to mention how they can protect those since they got Mutant Powers.
"Yeah! We can handle just about anything!" Lorenzo boast in knowing nothing can go wrong with them on the case.
"This almost reminds me of the time, that my great-great aunt Suzie was apart of…" Staci was about to brag about something that was a tall tale when…
"Ugh, lets save it for next time. If Courtney is out in the desert, then she might be close to dehydration?" Trent spoke up in sounding concern about Courtney having been under such hot weather that she needs water.
"The desert is filled with many hostiles, most of which can be poisonous. A dry place of death if ever one can remember." Ennui states in recalling what sort of grim things crawl on desert dead lands.
"It's a nice Spring time event to visit, at least it's not like going to a sunny happy filled beach." Crimson states on thinking the desert was nice, as long as it's not a place filled with joy and happiness.
"Let's grab some water for the road, and whatever else we can bring that's light." Gwen instructs those on what they may need for the trip.
"Um, isn't the sun bad for like…some of you to be in?" Jay ponders to look at those that seem scary in what happens if they venture to the desert.
"Yeah, you all look like monsters straight from a horror film?" Mickey thinks that those that look scary might not do well under such heat.
"Don't think so? Besides Gwen needing sunblock, I think we're good." Trent scratch his head from not thinking those here outside Gwen need to be wary of strong sun light.
"Well if you're that sure, then lets go! We came from, ugh…" Rodney paused to look in some direction of where they ran from. "THAT WAY!" He points in one direction of where they came from.
"That's the direction that's northwest. It's an uncertain region I seen when I flew in the night sky." Crimson states in having seen what area lies ahead.
"Guess this means we're going there to search whoever is still alive." Ennui exclaim on having accepted a task to begin a search.
"Alive!?" Staci, Rodney and the Adversity Twins yelped after hearing such a spooky statement.
"Yeah, we're gonna need to work on not scaring those here with some assurance." Gwen rolled her eyes in seeing that because their group is filled with scary members, what they say could be taken too literally.
"Shame we won't stick around to see any of those Soul Collectors moving around." Ennui states on a disappointment on what they miss out.
"Ugh, what are those?" Rodney raise an eyebrow, not sure what Soul Collectors are.
"We found them when exploring this Ghost Town, they give it the right theme." Crimson mentions with the same goth-like manner of speech on how to express themselves.
Soon using the Mutant Scouter, display a holographic image of something truly frightful. It was shape like a humanoid that was approximately three metres, or 10 feet high, and covered in dark hooded cloak of long ripped black cloth. Making it closely resemble mythical creatures known as wraiths. The body is greyed and decayed looking, like a decomposing corpse. The hands are glistening, greyish, slimy-looking, and scabbed. They seem to exude cold around the body. Around the face reveal empty eye sockets, covered with scabbed skin. A gaping large hole where the mouth should be. When the mouth was moving to breath, it makes rattling sounds like it is trying to 'suck more air' out of a room or area. They seem to glide over the ground then touch it.
MUTANT BEAST: SOUL COLLECTORS
TYPE: MUTANT DEMONS
RANK: C+ (B-)
POWER LEVEL: 2000
Information: Once normal human beings that died and were never given proper burials, and were dumped around an abandon canyon. When toxic waste and chemical plants liquids poured around the area which had some dark matter mix, caused a strange and horrifying dark mutation on the several corpses. Turning them into the foulest Dark Mutant Demons that walk this earth. They like to infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them... If one gets too near a Soul Collector and every good feeling, every happy memory will be sucked out of them. Sometimes, they feed on victims long enough to reduce them to something like itself... soulless and evil. Leaving the target with nothing but the worst experiences of their life. They maybe are also known to be blind and do to not having eyes, however, they can sense whether a presence is near them or not, by sensing the victim's emotions. Their one known ability outside of gliding, their one famous move is called Soul Kiss, which sucks the soul of targets and the longer it goes on, the more it's consider a fate worse than death. While never at B Rank, they are still the worse opponents for the less fortunate to deal with. Their only known Weakness, appears to be anything related to Light type, sunlight or even light base abilities/powers, or configuring energy to give the same particles found in light sources.
Pretty much Rodney, Staci and the Adversity Twins were as white as a ghost after seeing and reading the data about such dangerous Mutant Beast. How could anyone allow them to roam free is beyond anybody's understanding.
"Um, can we maybe head to the desert please." Mickey sheepishly spoke with a nervously spoke voice.
"Yeah, I don't think we wanna meet these guys." Jay nods in feeling about as frighten as his brother.
"I SECOND THAT!" Rodney screamed in pure fright of not wanting to have his soul stolen.
"I don't wanna meet such ghostly fiends." Staci express from feeling like she be scared from meeting such spooky ghost. "Too bad we don't have any ghost fighting equipment? My Great-Great-Great Pappy Jona helped give the theme for the backpack. Otherwise, people would carry vacuum cases…" The girl went along to mention such a strange story revolving the subject.
After getting pass Staci's apparently made-up stories about her family, Gwen had her team head northeast towards the desert section.
HOURS LATER
LOCATION: BARBARIC DESERT
The scene opens around a wide spread of sand, dunes, cactuses, and lots of bones of animals that perished here. We spot team Twilight Moon being lead by those that escape this place in search of another Total Drama Contestant somewhere in this hot place. But there seem no end in sight, and the sun was at it's hottest point, it's a wonder that those wearing such heavy, darken and black, and/or goth-like clothing aren't complaining yet.
"Once, my Great-Great-Great Grandfather Geo, was apart of exploring the studies of the desert. If not, people never knew that it's hot one day, then cold at night." Staci explain a long story which was mostly sounding made up. "And my Great-Great Uncle And Aunt Gigiberg helped in learning what sort of wildlife could survive in desert regions. If not, we might not know…" She was about to go off on another long winded exaggeration of a tall tail story but…
"Ugh, how long is she going to keep talking?" Duncan groans from feeling like Staci's non-stop chatter is driving one crazy and it's annoying.
"Why not!? We're learning about some interesting things." Lorenzo ponders about having heard some interesting stuff.
"Hehe, yeah…and folks say we don't pay enough attention." Chet laughs in finding what they hear to be quite intriguing.
"Yeah, I don't think some of those things are true." Trent shrug off his shoulders in stating that some of what they heard were fabricated lies.
"Ughhh…I forgot how hot this place is?" Rodney groans in feeling like the weather is killing him. "It's really…really…really hot!?" The big guy was sweating so much that he waved his big hands to cool off.
"Yeah, well I guess growing up on a farm doesn't mean you can handle the worse heatwave." Duncan rolled his eyes in seeing how much this guy was complaining.
"Relax Duncan, the heat's just making everyone a little unbearable. I guess it's like my granny said…don't buy a black car in Miami, unless you wanna end up fry like spaghetti." Trent exclaim in having to mention something relating to when living in hot places, don't have things that make one even hotter.
"Hugh? Hey, are you two really okay?" Gwen looked to see the Adversity Twins, wondering if the skinny weak boys can keep going.
"Yeah, we once spent long hours in a sauna with no problem." Mickey replied in stating how they can handle themselves in the heat.
"That was because we couldn't feel temperature, so we're good." Jay reminds those that they can't feel much of any body changes from the weather.
"Ooohhhh!?" Then the Adversity Twins yelped from tripping over something that rolled with them down a hill: two light-brown theme oval shape objects.
"Hey, you found some desert eggs!" Rodney grins from seeing what those twins found. "Ohhh! More EGGS!" Then Rodney and Staci found more of those strange oval objects that were revealed after the twins slide down the dune. "Hmm…I bet we can fry them up on a flat rock for a little scramble eggs!?" He rubs his belly from imagining what he could cook from the newly gain egg object.
"Stop! Those are Mutagen Cell Capsules!" Gwen stops those from trying to eat what is not food. "Unless you want to mutant yourself, you gotta know what it is. And decide if it's worth taking it or trade for Reward Points." She mentions this for those that almost threw away their normal lives.
"So these things aren't eggs? Hugh, my Great-Great-Great-Great Uncle Polo helped in deciding that footballs should be oval. Yeah, cause otherwise, we play with a round ball. Just like some other country for football as soccer." Staci exclaim while mixing some lies and truth about such a strange and odd topic.
"Ugh dang, I was hoping that one of these could fill my stomach?" Rodney groans in wishing he could have a real egg to eat.
"Hmmm? Mine says – Chess Knight Puppet (White Version) on it." Mickey read what the Mutagen Capsule he had said.
"And mine says – Chess Knight Puppet (Black Version) is the same, sorta?" Jay read his and discovered it was similar to his brother.
"Maybe we can hold onto them? They could help make us be better." Mickey smiled a bit from thinking this could help them.
"Yeah, I mean, it's not like we can be worse off then we are now." Jay lightly replied in having some hope that their illness can be cured.
"Two Mutagens that are almost the same saved for the whole 'White' and 'Black' parts? Sounds suspicious of there existing the same type for either anyone, or those that are siblings to find?" Duncan raise an eyebrow in learning that the Adversity Twins each have the same Mutagen Cell Capsule.
"Hmm…" Trent suddenly looked away to face upwards. "Guys! Something is coming from above!" The guy alerts everyone of something on the move towards them.
Then everyone looked up to spot something flying through the sky in a unit formation. They resemble tan light brown dragonflies with white inside scale joints and green insect eyes. They are however different because they were 25 feet tall with harden bodies and sharp fangs. Using the Mutant Scouters, the data was coming in after a quick check.
MUTANT BEAST: SAND YANMAS

Information: These dragonflies were exposed to Mutagen in hot desert regions. Providing them with hard shell bodies and sharp fangs for biting down on small prey. They have an aggressive and carnivorous behavior, flying around the desert areas and attacking foes with their fangs. They like to hide in sandstorms for extra cover and protection. They are laid back by nature, but once other Mutant Beast and other targets step into their territory, attacks them mercilessly. They can perform abilities outside using their jaws… Performs Desert Wind which generates a small sandstorm by flapping the wings intensely. Use Thunder Ray to fire lightning from the tail. Perform Sonic Bite by using the sharp jaws to bite swiftly.
Without warning, the Sand Yanmas were emitting a strange soundwave with their wings. That in turn caused some nearby sands to swirl and created two dust devil tornados. The action of the Desert Winds was so fast that everyone yelped as they were sucked in. After a bit of being spun around, many were scattered across the desert. We spot Gwen and Crimson flying out of the dust devils before firing their respected attacks to stop such action.
"Here they come again!" Gwen issued in seeing them mutant bugs coming around.
"I'm ready…Hmm?" Crimson suddenly noticed something out of the corner of her eye.
As the others were recovering, the ground shook without warning. Then without warning, something shot out of the sand lightning fast. It resembled some massive skeleton tail with a scorpion blade stinger. The attack had struck Gwen and Crimson, but they were not the target. It was actually one of the Sand Yanmas that was wrapped around, struggling in vain. When it was over, the tail withdrew into the sand, bringing back a claim prize. Once the cloudy sand cleared, the others that recovered had observe the entire scene in shock and awe.
"Wh-what's going on? Was that thing on our side?" Trent asked puzzled in what just helped them out.
"Ugh, I think we're about to find out!?" Duncan yelped as the shaking occurred once again.
Without warning, the same skeleton tail shot out and it leans the blade down, as if ready to strike at a single notice.
"Bro, I don't think this thing's here to make friends!?" Chet states from looking a bit worried.
"Yeah, maybe we stand back and…hugh?" Lorenzo was about to say as he and Chet slowly backed away.
Then the Step-Brothers turn around from slightly bumping something. Turn out to be a huge razor claw from the sand. And it caught another of the Sand Yanmas to slowly crunch the insect's head until the victim's struggle cease function. "CLIP-CLIP…" With the prey dead, the giant razor claws were clipping, waiting for another victim to be caught.
"IT'S DEFINTELY NOT FRIENDLY!" The Step-Brothers screamed in surprise shock in realizing this was a killer foe on the move.
"Get to cover, don't approach it too carelessly!" Gwen warns those from above as everyone on the ground tries to escape from being close to unknown danger.
"Quick count? Is everyone present and away from that…thing?" Trent checks who was here and who was not.
"Everyone except those four taking up the rear!" Duncan points to the newcomers that were a little slow after recovering from the devil dust storm.
"Ugh…just a sore, I'm moving…ow, must have bang against something pointy?" Rodney was rushing while rubbing his chest, like something poked and hurt him.
"Ow-ow…we're hurting!? Real badly?" Jay yelps as the twins were struggling to run.
"Yeah, I think we caught something?" Mickey exclaim from feeling unwell all of a sudden.
"Hugh…wait, Staci's still down there!?" Gwen gasped upon noticing they were one person short.
The camera focuses where Staci was lying her back looking semi-unconscious. And bad timing considering that a huge claw was right near the spot…
-ATTENTION: MUTATIONS ARE IN PROGRESS!-
The scene opens to where Topher was just polishing some new plates he acquired for the room. When the alarm went off, he turns to notice the screen monitor giving a heads up warning. And that's when he noticed that he was now live…
"Hi there. Looks like some unexpected action?" Topher issued from what was somewhat going on. "Better see what we got going on here." He stated from how everyone wants to know the answer.
Then the cameras began to zoom around to find out what occurrences happen. Apparently during the dust devil storms that tossed everyone, those with Mutagen Cell Capsules had accidental moments. The twins had accidentally press the button as needles were injected by the waist. Rodney ended up crushing his capsule on his chest when hitting a rock in the sand. And as for Staci, she landed on the sand while her head bang against her capsule laying above. The damage caused a crack to appear and slowly leak out the ooze that slipped into the girl's mouth.
"Looks like four cases of unexpected accidents?" Topher exclaim from having found out what has recently occurred. "Let's see who's gotten which along with maybe some intel…" The guy issues from knowing the next thing folks wanna know.
What the monitor displayed were the Adversity Twins: Mickey and Jay, and what they obtained. The symbol image was appearing like some knight chess piece and with some mechanical puppet frame. The interesting thing was that there was two different theme colors: Chess Knight Puppet (White/Black Version).
"Hugh, I guess now even for those twins, they'll pretty much have abilities and perhaps not be as sick if they are, pardon my words…Healthy as a Horse." Topher exclaim from having to guess just what sort of new things may come forth for Mickey and Jay while possibly curing the twins untold sicknesses.
Then the monitor changed to reveal what Rodney had acquired as well. The symbol image was of a large heavyweight wrestler with a hammer icon on the belt: Iron Hammer Skin.
"Looks like Rodney's gotten something that may just fit his size and brawn, the brain…well, might be a different story?" Topher shrug off to lightly make a guess where the big guy who lives on a farm will acquire, but might not help in ways of increased IQ.
Lastly shows the monitor changing to reveal what Staci obtained recently. The symbol image was what appeared to be of a green feathered humanoid feature: Half Avian Chick.
"Oh my, looks like Staci got something. Looks to be very…Hugh, what's this?" Topher was about to say until he read the details.
-Error: Mutation Defect-
"Ohhh, looks like this one might have a little side-effect that's not just on the outside?" Topher exclaim in surprise, apparently what Staci got has some unknown errors. "Well that seems it for now, and looks like Team Twilight Moon are about to engage. Maybe they'll receive help, who knows?" Then the guy focuses on what events are about to unfold for those in a situation. "For this moment, we'll play 'Be The Winners' to just help encourage those to do their best." Topher announced what music will play to help spice things up…
-MUTATION EVENT!-
The scene slowly shows that where Staci was, but her body was emitting a light green glow. And then she apparently was regaining herself only to look…smaller compared to before. In fact, Staci now resembles an anthropomorphic bird, though doesn't have a beak or sports a pair of wings. Her appearance was like a short avian being with light green and yellow center feathers and wings. Having large black eyes with a blue oval center, a large crest of feathers on her head, long tail feathers, yellow talon feet and five finger bird-like hands.
"Hugh…where am I?" Staci spoke up but more closely to a child's like tone.
Then we slowly see the Adversity Twins standing up, but what everyone saw was almost more shocking. Their pants were ripped as something was trans-morphing the human skin into a metallic plating and stretched to apparently modify what was once two legs…into FOUR HORSE-LIKE LEGS! And then the same mechanical metallic stuff not only made the twins taller, but was changing the upper body until both were changed completely. From one's view on characteristics, the new forms inspiration reminds those Knight chess pieces, with the general body looking the same as the chess piece crossed with a centaur. They had certain wheels to the hooves, along with gold hooves, chest plate, wrist, knucklers, and a knight's face cover, also had orange flowing mane hair. The only difference was Jay became white and Mickey became black, and they had clear blue color eyes.
"Augh, what happened to us?" Mickey yelps from seeing what's become of the twin siblings.
"Wait, are you me, but different color?" Jay asked from noticing they look alike, but not the same color theme.
"Seriously, they ended up mutating NOW under such a situation!?" Duncan remarked that this seem like a bad time when one was in the middle of extreme danger.
"Yeah, the twins look like centaurs…somewhat?" Trent felt surprised that the Adversity Twins had changed.
"Did she get…smaller?" Chet raise an eyebrow after seeing Staci again, but slightly different.
"Forget that! Somebody's about to be a next meal!" Lorenzo issue from seeing what that huge claw will do as it detected Staci was closer.
"Quickly, we need to distract it and get her out!" Gwen informs the ground group as those that can fly head on ahead.
At this moment, the background began to play 'Be The Winners' when action was about to unfold. Team Twilight began to intercept the unknown enemy's attack.
"NECROPHOBIA!/HEAVY METAL FIREBALL!" Lorenzo and Chet each fired their best long range attacks. "BAM!" The launched attacks managed to hit the claw. But when it was subsided, the effects left showed that no damaged was done at all.
"Ugh…I feel…strange?" Rodney slowly tries to push himself upwards, only to cringe again. "UUuagh…WAAAAARRRUGH!?" That's when the guy let off a loud cry as line markings appeared all over him.
Suddenly, Rodney's body began to grow and change into a more harden grey texture, so much that it ripped his farmer clothes off completely. When it was over, one could see a 25 foot tall muscular behemoth humanoid, covered by bronze metal plates on the legs, stomach and back-bone skeleton structure, emitting blue lights around certain limbs from an embody pyramid gem on the chest. There were shoulder pads style like bison horns, a long red mane across the left and right side down to the waist from a formed behemoth mask with tusk. The back side had medium length rugged silver hair, and the face had a mouth guard and blue eyes seen from an open 'Y' form for the face to vaguely be seen.
"ARRRRUUH!/BAMvvhh…" Then without warning, something jumped out to grab and pin down the claw: it was Rodney who recently mutated and surprised a few that realized what became of him.
"Woooooh!?" But the heavy impact caused Staci to yelp and be thrown across the desert while yelping from the spun rotation in mid air.
"Got'cha!" Then at a lucky moment, something caught Staci to which turn out to be Gwen using her Psychic Lock move. "Don't worry, you're safe now." Gwen assured that Staci was safe with friends nearby.
"WATCH OUT!/FOR THE TAIL!" Lorenzo and Chet yelled out to warn Rodney of what was coming from behind.
At this moment, the tail was seen swooping forward at what attacked the creature. "Powww!" This attack almost punctured the target with such force if not for the aid of the newly centaur Adversity Twins to just duck and evade in time.
"AAaugh!?" Suddenly without warning, another of them claws popped out of the desert to attack where Mickey and Jay were while Rodney held onto their backsides. But the twin centaurs managed to jump and dodged before almost getting squashed. Except then the claw plotted through to launch out directly where they were after dodging.
"DEADLY GAZE!/BOOM!" Without warning but on fast reflexes, Ennui launched an attack that was red beams from the eyes. Which on contact, repelled the claw attack but just barely.
"This guy…it's like it's reading our every movement?" Duncan narrow his eyes from watching what this deadly foe was doing.
"It's the sand…it's reading everything by where we are?" Trent issue from guessing what a desert predator was capable of. "We have to attack the base of the claw!" Trent informed the group on where to attack.
Working together, we see other members launch range attacks that caused a slight explosion by the base of the claw. But during a slight dust cloud, the bladed tai, was coming in to strike. During which Trent leaped up to intercept and keep the tail from striking anyone with his sword.
"Quickly go ahead! We'll catch up!" Trent instructs the others of Team Twilight to go ahead of those nearby.
"Yeah, besides…the twins can help run faster then we can if they stay to help." Duncan issue to mention who can help those staying around to help catch up much faster.
"Us!?/Really!?" Mickey and Jay replied almost speechless, nobody has ever relied on them for help.
"Alright, I'll get the others to follow." Gwen nods her head before giving a hand signal for the others to fallback.
We spot members like Gwen and Crimson flying while the rest ran on foot. But because of movement in the sand, caused the creature hiding to detect prey escaping and ready it's tail to strike.
"Oh no you don't! ECLIPSE STRIKE!" Trent protest as he wields his sword in the air.
"SLASHhhhh…" We witnessed Trent unleashing a blue theme Sword Beam straight out of the sword.
"Hey you two, try throwing something?" Duncan instructs the twins to try to help out somehow.
"Ugh…/Okay!?" Jay and Mickey replied a bit off before looking around and picked up the only things that could help. "NRAARrugh…/FRruhmm…" The twins had thrown a large rock spike each with ease almost like it was a lance.
"POWVvhhmmm…." While all the attacks made impact around the hidden body in the sand while it's tail and claws were above. The background music had reach its closure at this time since the battle was over…
"GROOOUUURRRRrrrrrrAAArrrrrhhhh!" However, a disturbing screech roar was heard as something pops it's head out of the sand: it was the Mutant Beast which had something of a scorpion Skelton head figure stare through with its deadly three eye sights.
RESULT: RETREAT
BATTLE UNFINISHED
Far from the battle and the territory of the mystery creature that was fought: signs of black smoke clouds arise from the area. The camera angle changes to show Trent and Duncan riding Mickey and Jay. Apparently the letters were acting like horses to carry the other two since even though the Adversity Twins had become mechanical knight puppet centaurs, speed was a helpful matter.
"Mickey, can you believe what we just did? We never managed to outrun something that chased us?" Jay exclaim from thinking back to what they did just now after having time to think it over.
"I know, we been lucky to keep up with everyone from the race, but we're not even tired out. High five." Mickey exclaim from sounding excited, and felt that they achieved something big.
The twins tried to give the other a high five, but apparently they still seem unable to perform it right.
"Yeah how's about you practice that high five when we're in the clear." Duncan rolled his eyes in seeing what the twins were trying to do. "Hey, you hurt?" Duncan looked to Trent, checking if he was alright after that fight.
"I'm fine, but…" Trent seem hesitant at first to speak his mind.
"Come on man, what's bugging you?" Duncan asked from sensing that Trent was keeping himself to himself.
"That power…nothing we did seem to phase it much?" Trent stated with firm and stern eyes from thinking hard about what happened. "You remember what Mr. X once told us?" He turns to ask what Duncan remembers that very day.
"Ugh yeah, he told us a lot of things, and most of it…I might have forgotten?" Duncan shrug off the shoulders and rolled his eyes, a lot things were said and most he either didn't follow or understood it.
"He said that there are Mutant Beast of different rank. Those Sand Yammas were taken out instantly and they were only C Rank. The only explanation is…it's a Rank B Class threat." Trent firmly explain what they witness that took down such groups of large insects, was something far stronger.
That there was much to consider since except for the Adversity Twins, Duncan and Trent have some experience to know how scary Ranked Mutant Beast are. They still remember the time when they entered False City that was created by a powerful C Rank Mutant Beast with an ability to nearly rival a B Rank threat.
"Hey, are you here to gossip or what?" Suddenly, a female voice was cutting between those that were deep in thought.
The four boys looked ahead of who spoke rudely to them. And ahead they saw Gwen with Staci. Behind the them was a sign of relief, an oasis, but that was not the only surprise. Coming from behind Gwen to take Center stage was someone else who spoke and was familiar to the Total Drama Island cast.
It was a young girl who seem pretty into building her body, had black hair with a short tied ponytail, and hazel color eyes, and lipstick plus a little freckle mark on the left cheek side. She wore a dark blue gym outfit consisting of knee shorts and sleeveless shirt with a dark waist line, had white socks with light and dark purple stripes above, and deep dark purple sneakers. This person was Eva, another Total Drama Contestant, known as 'The Female Bully' during the first season. Eva's very competitive and physically strong, but she's often overly aggressive. She's also deranged and is known to have a short temper and violent ways of exhibiting her anger. Part of the reason she auditioned for Total Drama was to curb it, and she mildly has. She enrolled in anger management classes after her first elimination and has since shown that she is capable of making friends, albeit not very many. Eva's also very willing to admit when she has taken her anger too far and will admit when she's in the wrong. In general, she is not very emotional, and is almost never seen displaying feelings other than anger and indifference.
"EVA!?" Duncan and Trent gasped in surprise upon remembering this well built tough girl.
"Oh, is she a friend?" Jay asked from sounding interested by the topic.
"That's great news." Mickey replied with relief that they encountered a friend,
"Great, might be an understatement?!" Duncan remarked from knowing that Eva was not someone they could feel great about…in more then one sentence.
-DUNCAN'S VIDEO-
"Somehow I'm not entirely surprise. Why?" Duncan remarked about what they have experience seeing Eva again. "When you think about it, in Season One, I was on the same team as her, and knew that Eva was likely the strongest and most deadliest of us." Duncan mentions from recalling Eva from her appearance from Total Drama Island. "I seen what she could do to a purple Sasquatch that was the most ferocious and dangerous during a challenge Chris set us up to take. If anyone could survive an island filled with dangerous mutated monsters, it's Eva." The bad boy issued from knowing just how tough Eva was, and surviving the roughest challenges…be a cake walk to such a person.
-TRENT'S VIDEO-
"At first we were all just getting use to having meant Rodney, Staci, and Mickey and Jay. Then learn that Courtney was around. And now we unexpectedly encounter Eva on top of that." Trent goes down a lit of those they have encountered so far. "I mean I know that Eva's capable of handling herself since she's a bodybuilder and all that, but the worse to be on lookout was when she loses her temper." Trent pointed out a bad habit that Eva had which got her voted out of the competition: twice even. "But after the first season, a lots happen so I think she should be good….right?" The guy believes that Eva is cool now, or at least he hopes so…
-GWEN'S VIDEO-
"I'll admit that when Eva came back, she was still…frustrated? But we got over it before events of Season Three took off." Gwen explain briefly about how things went after the first season with Eva and her temperament issue. "She's the one who spotted us in trouble and told us she had a stronghold by an oasis. And we be at least better off there then out in the desert. So, maybe she's changed to be a better person….I think?" Gwen was trying to think positive about seeing the bright side even if it's Eva of all people.

"I know what your thinking. Why would I go out on a limb to help those guys?" Eva remarked off to the audience on what they think she's thinking about right now. "Well it's cause that whatever I'm after was along the way. So it was only a lucky break for them." Eva issue sternly about her own reasons and it was just a lucky break for the rest. "Besides, there's actually something else that I gotta tell them about. Weather they accept it or not is up to them." She issued from feeling a little sensitive on what she wants to get off her chest from knowing something…serious?
SOMETIMES AFTERWARDS
EVA'S CAMPSITE
The scene changes to show an oasis with trees and fresh lake water and a tall mountain pillar with certain edges form into climbing steps plus a cave entrance. Inside the cave was not completely empty, some rocks were carved, and formed into chairs and beds, and loose ones made into certain tables with chopped trees as legs. Some chopped trees were made into cabinets, closets, even the large leaves for curtains for some privacy and bed sheets.
We see the members of Team Twilight had gather together after escaping their unknown encounter with a hidden foe and just trying to settle in. We see the Goths: Ennui sitting with Crimson as they were marveling at some skeleton animal remains. Then we see the Step-Brothers: Chet and Lorenzo, checking out the cool hunter stuff lying around. Finally we see Gwen with Trent and Duncan as they brought along the newly mutated members: Mickey and Jay as mechanical centaur knights, Rodney as some muscle behemoth, and Staci as some humanoid green chick. Eva had been sitting nearby some sharpening station to make her newly made spears extra sharp.
"You guys doing alright?" Gwen wanted to check if the others that got here sooner ran into any trouble or if all was good.
"Heck yeah! This girls made some pretty wicked hunting stuff!" Lorenzo issued from looking at the well crafted hunter theme objects: spears, axes, nets, spikes, etc.
"If we didn't already have cool powers and gear, this be awesome to use!?" Chet stated from how cool it be if they used this stuff when on a jungle survival hunting spree.
"Such masterful use in placing the dead remains…are a sign of one who respects the dead in such a fashion." Crimson lightly compliments the grim setting of bones in a dry emotional goth manner,
"Uh Hugh, that's very deep indeed. I feel very calm here where life has faded." Ennui proclaimed with the same emotionless goth vibe on viewing such things that only goths get.
"Okay, so moving on…thanks for the lift you two." Duncan exclaim to speak to the twin centaurs after he and Trent got off their backs from riding them.
"We should be thanking you all for helping us fine what we been looking for." Jay stated off from sounding a bit happy about this sudden change in their lives.
"For the first time in our lives, we feel completely…fine. Like we're as heathy as…" Mickey was so amazed that neither twin felt so healthy and all symptoms vanish, it's like they are truly normal like everyone else…
"A horse?" Duncan cuts in to finish the sentence with a sly grin from waiting to use that one: considering the Adversity Twins have mutated into basically puppet knight theme centaurs, kinda ironic.
"Yeah!" The Adversity Twins replied from agreement while not getting the joke pun that Duncan used.
"You two feeling alright?" Trent turns to look at Rodney and Staci on how they are adjusting to what has happen to them.
"Oh absolutely, I feel like I'm tougher and stronger then I was precisely." Rodney happily replied from checking himself out. "I betcha I could lift up things without breaking a sweat." The guy was literally bragging to show off what the big behemoth man could do now.
"Hmmm, so can you lift up a Boulder?" Staci hums a bit before suggesting something.
"Heh, pretty neat, right?" Rodney grins from lifting a large Boulder in the room.
"Or maybe a tank?" Staci asked another question but a different topic,
"Heh, I think so?" Rodney smirks from thinking he can probably lift a tank if he ever had the chance to try.
"How about a huge battleship? Or a submarine? Or a building? Can you lift up a mountain?" But Staci was asking a lot of questions that a child would be curious to find out.
"Ugh…um…?" Rodney was stumped as he needed more time to think about such things.
"Can you lift up…yourself?" Staci asked an even more impossible question which left Rodney stump silent.
"Okay, I think that's enough questions." Gwen pats Staci to calm her down before almost frying what brains are inside Rodney's head.
"But I have so many questions and…" Staci was about to say until she stopped to noticed everything around her. "Hum, um wait, what was I asking about? And who are you again that Staci should know and…wait? What's my name again?" Now the little green avian bird girl was asking some silly questions that everyone didn't know to take her seriously.
"Um Gwen, is she okay?" Trent asked from thinking this might not be a normal thing.
"I'm not sure, could maybe what she took cause Staci to have short memory lose?" Gwen was a bit uncertain if maybe there was an unexpected side effect from whatever mutated Staci into such a strange creature.
"My guess, we saw her shrink down and now she's got like the mind of a forgetful child and being part bird…means she is easily distracted." Duncan shrug off his shoulders to speculate a couple of good guesses that were on he nose. "So comparing if you wanted to have her constantly make up stories or can maybe have some normal conversation…hey, your cal." The guy issue that right now Staci is a newly made mutant person, but did anyone want her to keep rambling endlessly about false stuff her family has done is another story.
"We did see she hit her head, so maybe that's another effect?" Trent also mentioned something else that could be a possibility.
"Hey, don't be so blue, um by the way…" Staci was about to say until she looks at Trent closely. "What color theme are you for a rock?" Yep, that made the Step Brothers hold he urge to laugh as anyone can tell That Staci said the answer but forgot in a funny way,
"Hugh, I suppose we will try to get use to more changes I guess?" Gwen signs from knowing it's gonna be another one of those tricky days of getting use to new folks added to the party.
"Hey! Can you speed it up!" Then Eva interrupts the discussion at such a time. "I wanna get to know what's been going on since you all seem like you know what's been happening? And I don't like being in the dark, got it!" The tough girl was very strict and firm about wanting to know what's going on currently.
Realizing that Eva has been very patient, it seems that it was best to clue her in on the events. After about 30 to an hour of discussion, Eva was caught up on things. X-Island, them living a new life of riches, but must survive and adapt, etc. Eva was somewhat intrigue that there was someone so rich that he can do so much was beyond anything a normal person could follow.
"So Eva, changing the subject…you been out in this desert all by yourself?" Gwen asked a new topic relating to how Eva has been handling herself lately.
"Yep! Woke up from that weird pod thing, and found myself in this dried up wasteland." Eva nods her firm head to confirm what everyone expected as much.
"Wow, that's pretty hot." Staci replied from hearing someone dealt with the heat of a desert. "Hmmm? Um, but what was here that you survive this long?" That was a question that had everyone curious to know how Eva could get by stuck in this hot desert.
"Hah! That's easy…" Eva laughed off with a cocky smile as if ready to boast. "Whenever I came across scorpions, I killed them and ate them." She issued to say while holding up a spear that had the body of a dead scorpion.
"Wait! You ATE…Scorpions!?" Duncan yelps from the very idea of eating poisonous creatures.
"Man that's gotta be some iron stomach to eat those things out here. But weren't there any other things?" Trent felt a bit disturb yet tried to be alright to ask other questions.
"We'll eventually I found this place and turn it into some hunter spot. I been sending a signal fire waiting for help but no one showed up. And after hearing what you told me, I now know we're on some rich guys island." Eva issue to say from mentioning what she's done to wait for anyone to find her. "Wish I knew that sooner when I saw someone else?" She remarked off with an annoyed look on her face.
"Someone else." Mickey raise an eyebrow after hearing that one.
"Was it possibly us?" Jay ponders if Eva was talking about them.
"You lot, no…Who I say was little miss lawyer girl." Eva remarked in mentioning who she actually saw which really earn some attention of those in the room.
"You saw Courtney! Where?" Duncan responded in surprise and wanted to hear more from a witness that knows where Courtney is.
"I did see her, but then I saw something weird happen to her that really freaked me out." Eva exclaimed from having said something else that earn much more attention then the last one.
"Really, what is it?" Rodney raise an eyebrow, uncertain of what Eva meant.
"Courtney suddenly changed into some kind of….cat woman." Eva issue off to reveal a shocker that Courtney turn herself into…a cat.
"Cat woman?" Duncan and Gwen repeated those words in shock, those that knew Courtney could hardly imagine her as some cat woman: unless they give her fake cat ears and a fake tail.
"Your saying Courtney really turn into a cat?" Trent asked from feeling uncertain if that intel was true.
"Actually, more like a tiger with stripes. When I approached her, she pounced and brought me down on the ground." Eva exclaim to say while not sounding to please to reveal such a shameful event that happened to her.
"Woah! She had you pin?" Lorenzo yelps in surprise, judging by Eva's well in shape self, she could wrestle the worlds biggest bear or a yeti.
"Was she actually stronger then you?" Chet asked from being very curious who could beat this girl who survived out her all by herself, especially if it's just some girl wanting to be a lawyer.
"You kidding me, back during when we were a team on Season One, she couldn't take me on. But her sudden strength caught me off guard. And if that was not bad enough, something else showed up." Eva sternly argues to explain herself with only a damaged pride.
"What?" The Step-Brothers asked from wanting to hear what else happened.
"Couldn't tell, some weirdo in a cloak and mask managed to tame Courtney. And before I could demand answers…" Eva drifted her eyes away from looking a bit shameful on what she has to admit… "Something swatted me away…ME!? Knock away like a paperweight!" The girl protests in anger, feeling like something took advantage to sneak attack her. "That's when I saw it…the Assassin of the Desert." She gritted her teeth in rage while muttering the name of the fiend that attacked her next.
"The assassin of the desert?" Trent raise an eyebrow, thinking it must be someone else if not the masked cloak figure that tame Courtney.
"Remember that thing you all saw earlier, yeah, that was him." Eva pointed out which made everyone slightly flinch: that bone theme creature was the assassin that whack the tough Eva without giving her a second thought. "This thing fought like it knew my every move? And comparing to me taking down that purple Squash, felt like this guy was ten times more harder and a lot more skilled in deadly assassination." Eva explain this part which only made those that escape such a deadly foe lucky to be alive.
"A creature physically stronger and fights to counter your own style…it's like a born demon of your soul." Ennui proclaim from having heard something that to a goth, it was like the darkest part manifested before Eva.
"That sounds really deep. A creature born to be better then you and where victory is nowhere in sight." Crimson also felt like that was truly inspiring for the Goths to take an interest in, considering they love all this dark and gloomy.
"So I guess this place is like it's territory now?" Gwen raise an eyebrow to figure out that the so called Desert Assassin has made this dry desert it's turf.
"Remember those Sand Yammas things you mention and how they made those dust devils?" Eva spoke up to mention what the gang encountered and identified that the girl brought up. "Well even they will become food to that thing if they get captured." Eva blankly stated which made a few feel concern after recalling how such a predator hunted its prey. "I think the worse ones to be watchful of are those that emit some…dark miasma stuff." Eva mention as if having a bad recall of such creatures that emit such fowl stuff.
"Come to think about it, on the Mutant Scouters, there was a recently defeated Dark Mutant Beast our friends encountered and defeated." Trent spoke up from having used the scouter to receive intel: about a shocking defeat of the Metal Tyranno which was a Rank B Mutant Beast.
"Hmph, probably got lucky, makes even these mutated beast so viciously wild, I could be seen as like a teddy bear when I get into a fight. Why else do you think I haven't left after my recent lost." Eva remarks about some folks got lucky while she has yet to take such a terrifying creature that can emit such a dark miasma.
"A teddy bear? You?" Duncan raise an eyebrow from finding that to be silly, the tough girl Eva was like a soft cuddly teddy bear was laughable at best.
"YOU WANNA TRY ME!?" Eva snapped from feeling that now those here believe she's lost her edge, which force Duncan to can it for now.
"So from viewing the situation, it's likely that we got problems on the ground and in the air?" Trent stated from knowing that they got enemies hidden in the desert and those flying above. "Looks like crossing the desert is a little more riskier then we thought?" The guy felt concern that their options of getting by without fighting seem farther and farther away.
"Well if that's the case, can't we just stay here like Eva since she's still okay? I mean, we got clean water and food plus shelter, right?" Rodney scratched his head, trying to look at the bright side of things.
"Eventually we'll become their prey if we stay here too long." Ennui emotionlessly stated about the end result that such ideas I'll lead to them being easily corner prey to the strong.
"These bones tell a story of those that believed they were safe, only to lose it when their guard was down." Crimson proclaim from feeling like the dead here can tell stories if one listens closely enough to do so: which creep some of the others a bit.
"Then how else can we go out and find out what happen to Courtney? We can't just do nothing?" Duncan protest that while they are stuck, they don't know what else is happening to Courtney as they speak.
"Duncan I understand, but we need a plan to figure out our best chances and figuring out who here can help out." Gwen was being reasonable, trying to see what they got presently to help them overcome such obstacles.
"Hah! Well after hearing what's going on, now it's time to turn the tables!" Eva grins eagerly to approach a spot which a well made stone truck case. "Thanks to you lot, I now know what I need to beat those two." That's when Eva opened her stone truck that everyone nearly gasped of what else she had.
What was inside the stone truck was a large number of oval shape objects that many knew: Mutagen Cell Capsules. There was over a dozen or maybe twice to almost half the amount to reach one hundred.
"Are those…Mutagen Cell Capsules? And lots of them?" Trent was utterly surprised, apparently Eva has been collecting these things when she's been hunting.
"Been finding them around a lot, thought some lizards lay them but the heat can really make you see things." Eva pointed off to say from what she couldn't understand what these things were: they weren't eggs so instead of eating them, kept them around. "Come to think about, that Courtney girl must have thought this thing was something else and took it without batting an eye." Eva speculated what Courtney did when under the heat, saw these things as a way to help the body that was overheated.
"Wait, she took it without checking?" Chet yelps from hearing someone took to use something without checking.
"And I thought we were reckless?" Lorenzo thought he and Chet were the reckless ones, but apparently we're mistaken.
"Yeah, I don't think you two are much to say that considering you took yours without a second thought." Duncan rolled his eyes from recalling the Step-Brothers when they underwent their mutation.
"Eh, I think the heat drove her mad to not think if she thought it was something to drink. And that what came after was her mind playing tricks." Eva shrug off her shoulders to believe what Courtney experienced afterwards was the heat deceiving the mind.
"Poor Courtney, the heat must have made it hard for her to know what happen was even real or not." Gwen felt bad after hearing what Courtney has suffered and yet has yet to realize the reality of it.
"So then, did you happen to come across anything good?" Trent ponders to focus on Eva's stash of capsule cells that maybe any of these could be helpful.
"After finding out these things were tech, decided they might be useful to someone else." Eva shrug off the shoulders to mention her reason to keep the oval objects around. "Most of these things I read sounded either weird, lame or weak." Eva pointed out from what everyone could see.
There were many that were desert type themes. Such as those with lizard ability, or about bugs, and desert plant. Yet when looking at their actual worth, many were label as Ordinary and Low Between Class and Rank value. So it's no wonder that Eva found nothing worth wild.
"I guess all you can do is Transfer them for Points and spend them on what can arm yourself?" Trent felt like this was all Eva could do to make a use of these things she might not used.
"That's not a bad idea, if I'm gonna hunt the big threats…might need something better then older spears." Eva exclaimed while rummaging through the chest before pulling something out from the deep bottom. "But this one got me curious, so I hang on to it. It's a different color and thought it was special." The girl pulled a red capsule object that made Eva smile eagerly at this specially kept item.
"Wait, why do you have this one position like some trophy?" Duncan spoke from spotting a strange silver chrome with blue streak lines oval tech object capsule over the display case of recent hunted prey kept as trophies.
"Oh that, haven't touch it. Thought it's what made the place feel somewhat like a home. So I place my recent hunts there to stand out like they were trophies." Eva explain the case about the strange placement of the other tech football object. "Now quit talking and help me transfer these things, I wanna see what hunting equipment can help me bag some big bounties." Eva sternly lectures those that were just standing around instead of helping her.
This had the others help Eva clear her stone truck and began to press the Transfer on many of them. But when Rodney tried to reach the crimson color object, Eva slap his hand away and threaten that no one was to touch it, as she has plans for it as many could see the Mutagen Cell Capsule had something that caught the muscle girl's attention. But while many were helping, Duncan seem to look elsewhere as if distracted…

"Hearing that Courtney is out there is good to hear." Duncan stated to say on what he is happy to hear, but… "But hearing someone tamed her, that doesn't sound like the Courtney I know. And believe me, I…KNOW…Courtney!" Duncan was clearly upset, he knows that Courtney is someone who rises above a challenge not submit defeat. "Hugh right now Eva has already used up all the Cell Capsules she found to get some special Hunter Elite Series Set. Which as a bonus, came with both male and female outfits. So, I got something out of it too for if the 'Occasion' comes for me." Duncan smiles with confidence about having mention this while tossing in the air: the Capsule he won but never used. "And besides, I got more then one ace to play if things get dicey." That's when Duncan was tossing up something in his spare hand, the capsule that Eva left lying about which meant: it recognizes the guy as it's new owner upon touch contact.

"I'm worried now, it's almost a given that we have to fight some dangerous Mutant Beast to survive. But now we're hunting one of our own?" Gwen felt bad about what they may end up doing, instead of this being a search now they gotta be ready to hunt a friend who's not in the right mind. "I just hope we can find Courtney and that whatever has happened to her…she still remembers that we're her friends." Gwen expressed her worries that she and Courtney are still good friends. "Although with Duncan, she may have a beef with him…or me for stealing him?" She felt a bit concern knowing that Courtney may have issues with those that messed with her feelings of what was friendship and love.
-TRENT'S VIDEO-
"Since I been on Team Twilight Moon, I've known that Gwen and Duncan have been trying to find Courtney without ever giving up." Trent issue from remaining calm to know what Gwen and Duncan are going through. "I know that after Duncan went for Gwen and they started to secretly develop a relationship, it hurt us both. But if Gwen and me can make up, so can those two…" Trent tried to think positive that he and Gwen are together again, so the same can happen for Duncan and Courtney. "At least without tearing?" The guy stated from having some uneasy feeling about hose two and their personality with issues.
SOMEWHERE OUTSIDE THE DESERT
The scene slowly changes to reveal that another location further outwards from EVA's Base. Another oasis with plenty of greenery and rocky flooring of an old civilization. It was here that we spotted Team Twilight Moon on the move to approach a location that according to Eva, had seen Courtney stop by to get a drink of water.
"Eva, are you sure about this?" Gwen raise an eyebrow, uncertain if this approach was the wisest of choices.
"Yep, the only place with some clear water is the place a mammal will need to drink up. So Courtney is certain to be there." Eva pointed off that if he one they are looking for is thinking with instincts, then living creatures need water in the desert.
"Not that, I think Gwen meant what your wearing?" Trent raise an eyebrow to mention something else that caught attention.
"You mean this Draco Amazon Warrior Set?" Eva approached the group to display what she was wearing.
Some were almost lost for words when studying the new outfit Eva selected her herself as gear. It was dark armor with golden linings made into a female set: unique knee pads and chest-plate with shoulder pads, plus two gold wrist armors. There was some brown drape cloth skirt along with a brown strap style shirt under the armor, some cloth shoe-wear to let the toes be seen, and wore a red drape cloth tied around the left shoulder around the waist and the front portion dangle in front along with having two gold discs dangle from each side. One could almost say this was made to be an Amazon Battle Gear for a warrior tribe of a different culture, maybe for desert and wastelands. Lastly was that Eva was carrying on her backside some warrior iron spiked shield with a pun rock skull image frame surface that match her outfit.
"Ehh, seems to fit well with me. Besides from what you all experienced, at least these clothes will stretch and not tear when I take the capsule I've decided to save for just such a rainy day." Eva brushed off the others thoughts and wanted to get comfy before she mutates with what she has in mind for a mutant power and appearance change, etc.
"Well seeing you gotten a two different set, I decided to take the left over." Duncan boast a bit while also seen coming to stand out.
Many could see what Duncan was wearing a black sleeveless body suit from his knees to the neck, plus wore a purple vest with silver metal lines with spikes sticking out on the edges for a rebel theme. The armor he wore were leg, knee and front foot pads, plus wore some specialized long iron claws.
"Gotta admit, this Beast Warrior Armor Outfit…really brings out the desert bad boy in me." Duncan grins to compliment how he looks helps show off that he's still the bad boy on the block.
"So long as you aren't completely cloth-less if you mutate, then it ain't my problem." Eva remarked off to push Duncan aside from not paying him any attention: Duncan was about to argue about the cloth-less issue but… "Hold! We're here, and look ahead…" Eva silent hand signal everyone to go silent on reaching their destination.
That's when everyone saw something when approaching the water oasis spot. A creature was seen walking on all fours, and leans in to take a drink. Appeared to be a 6-7 feet tall humanoid female with tan skin. However the waist down to the ankles are puffy leopard style yellow and black fur spots, but the feet, backside to shoulders down to the hands are Bengal style dark gray and black fur spots. Leaving the chest and stomach center human-like skin. The three claws were magenta color and stretch almost at a knife's length. There were signs of this person having Bengal cat-like ears, plus had two Bengal tails with leopard spotted patterns. While the face appeared like a normal tan girl, she had long orange-red hair stretch down to the waist and the other half tied in a long ponytail near the knee area, and had iris cat-like eyes that were purple color along with black crescent marks under the eyes, plus some sharp cat-like fang teeth. There were some additional items the feline human wore that were like jewelry: a foot ring, three wrist rings, jewel rings on the nails both feet and hands, two gold rings around the waist, one gold beaded with a plate hang around the front waist, golden armbands with jewels embedded, two gold rings around each of the two tails, gold disc earrings, gold beaded necklace around the neck and a gold tiara with a red ruby top center. Wore a red bikini around the chest region, a gold rod with a blue diamond on the end used to tie her ponytail. The last surprise was seeing a red painted mark above the stomach area. But even though there was a lot of changes, Courtney had remain somewhat unchanged despite appearing slightly different but anyone could still recognize the girl. From one's point of view, it was like one found the version of the Egyptian Cat Goddess in both appearance and dress theme. The only thing that seem out of place was the strange black ring attach to the neck, seem high-tech.
"Hugh, it's the red and gold blur goddess that saved us." Rodney gasped upon realizing who it was, the girl he's fallen for: was actually the mutated Courtney.
"Really, wow…we can meet her…." Staci exclaim with joy to meet such a person. "Ugh, wait, who is she again? And does she belong to someone with that collar?" While Staci made strange silly comments, what she said had everyone see the dark tech collar around the neck area.
"A collar on Courtney, I doubt she ever let anyone treat her like someone to be controlled." Gwen protest to remark that Courtney would never in a million years, let that happen to the girl dreaming to be a lawyer.
"Try telling that to Alejandro, but he never did something like that?" Duncan remarked from recalling how Alejandro manipulated and trick Courtney to helping him from
Season Three. "Okay, so what are we waiting for?" Duncan asked on what the next step was.
"For someone else to show up." Eva mutter under her breath of who else they needed to wait for.
"You mean that assassin of the desert?" Trent silently whispered of who else they gotta be wary about,
"No, as far as I can tell, it likes to hid beneath the sand. We are near some bedrock oasis where it only strikes if we're on the sand." Eva explained that they are safe as long as they are not on the sand. "Who we're waiting for…is him!" She narrow her eyes from becoming focus on who was to show up next.
Just at that moment, something appeared out of nowhere was a dark hooded cloak figure, who's only face one could see…was some dark theme phoenix mask. The mystery stranger approached the feline humanoid who stopped to turn and growl…
"Calm yourself Courtney, remember who I am…" The mystery person spoke softly after holding a hand out, speaking in a commanding voice.
"Hugh!?" The were-cat female gasped when the dark collar became active by a red line glow: turning her eyes color to red. "Hrrrmm…" She suddenly went from being hostile, to acting like a dominated house-cat.
"That's a good girl, you know who's in charge…" The mystery person spoke quietly as if taking charge: this bothered those watching, they couldn't stand it and wouldn't have to for long…
"Hold it right there!" Eva shouted, as everyone moved into position like a crescent formation.
"Woah, dude you seeing what this guy is wearing?" Lorenzo yelps from seeing such a strange looking guy hid himself.
"I totally am! A cloak and mask, real mysterious." Chet replied from seeing the combination to really hid ones identity.
"I am sensing something dark, a pinch of blackness that can make ones heart beat with life." Crimson stated from her motionless feeling that this hidden figure, was someone very dark.
"If that's true, then we who have shed off the joys of life of the average, are nothing but average to this darken soul." Ennui proclaimed from feeling that whoever this figure was, was really as black to out due the Goths sense of being all dark.
"So, you have come…." The mystery figure spoke with a retro mix voice changer to the others.
"Who are you?" Trent raise an eyebrow, feeling like this mystery figure was someone who wanted to not be known.
"You may address me as…Dark Phoenix." The strange figure addressed ones self. "And look who found wandering around." All eyes fell upon the she were cat female glaring at the others. "My friend here has a small problem with you. It seems that you let her die and she's not too happy about that!" Every word spoken only makes Courtney angrier, as if ready to break loose. "Now I think it is time that she repays the favor!" She addressed the situation as it was for one to seek vengeance on those present.
Before anyone could do anything, the mystery figure known as Dark Phoenix just teleported and was gone. The only ones left was Courtney, but it seem that in the end…a fight was unavoidable.
"Hey Duncan, you better have the stomach for this…cause if you thought Courtney could kill you before…" Eva issue a warning for the guy to not be holding them back when it comes to what's coming next here.
"Yeah, I know…this time…I think she WILL try to kill me if I don't at least try to survive." Duncan issue from sensing this will be a REAL Life and Death situation, and Courtney will go for the kill…without holding back.
That's when Eva used the crimson Cell Capsule, then 'Jabs' it into her arm. After clicking the 'Inject' button, the green ooze was slowly flowing into the tough girl. And Duncan, he actually jab himself and click the 'Inject' button for green ooze to flow into him. But what Duncan used was actually the one Eva left as a trophy instead of the one he won.
-WARNING! - MUTATION IN PROGRESS!-
The scene immediately changes to where Topher was reading a magazine title: Celebrity Host New Star Weekly, the alarms snapped his attention. That's when the guy dropped everything to witness what was happening on the monitor.
"Woah-woah, and woah some more? Things just took a turning point." Topher was utterly speechless from what the situation unfolded into. "For many that are curious, let's take a look at what Courtney has…" He issue from knowing what everyone was very curious about.
That's when the computer pulled up the data of what Courtney recently had before injecting herself by means of drinking the substance. The symbol was displaying some kind of female humanoid cat surrounded by flames: Mythical Fire Bastet.
"Hmm, it makes sense now. This sort of thing is pretty out of there." Topher scratched his chin from what he was reading about the mutation. "So Courtney has truly turn into a cat, and her firey temper is best to be watch out. And according to this…it's a High Class – Rank Unique/Rare type. So it's pretty much so unique, it's considered rare. Can anything best that?" The guy bragged out from what Courtney obtain was very good indeed.
-ALERT! UNKOWN ELEMENT DETECTED!?-
"Uh-oh! Spoke too soon?" Topher yelps before checking out the readings: and abnormal dark dots spreading into Courtney. "Hmm, Dark Miasma detected in the cells? I don't recall anything like that being in what was found, unless…" The data revealed the dark ring collar was injecting the stuff into Courtney.
That's when Topher realized that the audience was still watching him, before clearing his throat to change the situation.
"Well I'm sure the others will solve it. Now let's take a look at what it was that Eva and Duncan decided to pull out." The guy proclaimed from knowing the viewing audience was curious of what the others got injected with.
The data began to come in from the read outs of what Eva and Duncan had gone to inject into themselves. Since Eva was first, her data appeared first on the display monitor. The symbol that was displayed was a four armed muscular image: Half Komodo Dragon.
"Well I gotta say, Eva has chosen something that might indeed best describe her character. And if we thought she was tough before, just wait until the after part." Topher stated from looking a bit surprised by the detail information describing what sort of mutant power Eva was about to gain. "And now for Duncan…" Topher started to move ahead to find out what the next person's readout were.
That's when the data focused on what Duncan had come to use by injecting a new cell capsule rather then using what he already own. The symbol was of a mechanical backpack with hexagon spikes that extend out by a wire connector: Battle Machine Wings – Sagittarius.
"Well-well, interesting? It appears that Duncan has decided to use what he took from Eva's home instead of using what he got as a reward." Topher was a bit surprised by what Duncan decided to use instead. "So for this extra special occasion of not just fighting a Mutant Beast, but another Total Drama Contestant, we will need something to really pick up the paste." That's when Topher was looking through some musical numbers on the system until he came across something. "Ah, here's a good number: Zero Battle Theme, now this sounds like what fans will want to be at the edge of their seats. So let's get ready now…" The guy announced before beginning the main setup for this special CHALLENGER Mode event…
-MUTATION EVENT BATTLE-
-COURTNEY THE WERECAT-
That's when tension began to rise, as Courtney glares with glowing red eyes. Then a darken aura was coming out of the werecat body. Slowly changing the color from where the dark aura spread. The waist area fur turn light blue-gray, the feet, arms and back turn dark blue-gray, the tan fur for the front center to the face became white-silver, and the orange-red hair turn completely dark-blue. With the redden glowing iris cat-eyes, it's as if Courtney had turn into a Dark Mutant Beast. That's when the background was playing 'Zero Battle Theme' at such a moment. As the fearsome feline was about to attack.
"REOOWWW! CAT CLAWS!" Dark Courtney roared as she extended her nails on the hands, and launch a quick swipe of her claws. "SLASH!" Luckily Gwen used her psychic power to levitate Duncan and Eva away from a pillar which from the powerful slash claw marks left behind…was a close calling.
"OKAY!? I think we need more time before we're ready!?" Duncan exclaim from seeing how quick someone was wanting to kill them.
"FLYING CLAW!/SLASH!" Then Dark Courtney lunges at the airborne opponents and delivers a powerful cross slash at Gwen.
"AAAaahhhh!?" Gwen cringed and yelp in pain as she dropped Duncan and Eva across the field while one of the girl's wings were hurt.
"GRrrrr…." Dark Courtney landed on the ground, glaring at the others like they are the next prey.
"Woah, dude, she looks seriously scary!? Even scarier then what we look like?" Chet exclaim from seeing how tough and scary Courtney was that puts them to shame.
"Then lets hit her with a little extra something! Step-Brothers style!" Lorenzo issue froth in wanting to not be out done here.
"Don't overdue it, remember, that Dark Phoenix is controlling her." Trent informs those about not going overboard since this was not a dangerous Mutant Beast. "We gotta stop Courtney before she hurts herself." She instructs that they must stop Courtney before she hurts herself from these wild actions.
"HURT HER!?" Duncan protest from hearing such a bizarre topic. "TRY US!?" He argued that the only ones gonna be hurt might be them instead.
"RAVEN WAVE!" Crimson flaps her wings to unleash a storm of raining feathers.
"DEADLY GAZE!" Ennui unleashes red lasers from the eyes on the body.
"FLAMING CLAWS!" Dark Courtney unleashed crescent flame blades from her nails.
At a shocking feat, the attacks fired were canceling each other out. But even when some of Twilight Moon's attacks managed to breach the defense of the opponent, Dark Courtney held her arms up to endure.
"Grrrrr….GREAT CAT CLAW!" Dark Courtney roars in rage, before dashing across to approach those on the ground. "POWWFvhmm…/BAM-BAM-BAM…" A single solid hit from the right paw, created a crater and launch rocks in the air: both attacks impacted those around. While many gotten away from being further away, some took most of the after force that slowed them down a bit.
"Okay….if I get hit by that, I'm seriously a goner!?" Duncan felt concern after witnessing such a deadly move. "Why are we not changing?" The guy complains from noticing they yet to change.
"I feel something, but I guess the stuff was left out too long that it's a little wonky?" Eva felt like maybe the stuff they injected aged to the point where the effects are slow to kick in.
"Hang on, maybe our Mutant Scouters can tell us what's happening here, maybe clue us on how to stop Courtney?" Gwen suggest what they can do to learn how to help their friend in need.
Those that had Mutant Scouters began to try something none have ever done. Scanning someone not a Mutant Beast, but as a person and an old Total Drama member. Finally the data was coming in from the readouts it had on Dark Courtney.
MUTANT BEASTMAN: COURTNEY 'THE WERE-CAT'

Information: A normal girl who participated in the Total Drama series. She's one who follows the rules, and wants to have a perfect record and career. After mutating, she's now capable of performing cat-like abilities along with fire base powers. Her physical strength is nearly three times stronger then a normal human with the feats of a a natural sense, developed techniques base on cat-like and fire control abilities. Cat Claw: Slashes the opponent with a powerful and quick swipe, using the extended nails on the hands. Flaming Claws: The same as Cat Claw, but empowered with flames coating the nails. Unleashing crescent blades of flame to deal cutting and burning effects on targets. Flying Claw: Lunges at an airborne opponent and delivers a powerful cross slash. Great Cat Claw: Delivers a solid hit with the right paw, depending on the applied strength could be a fatal injury or create a crater to seriously knock out larger predators. Flame Cat Roaring: Forms a large fireball from the mouth and shoots it at the target. It's powerful enough to turn a large building into rubble and melt concrete with one shot.
Alert: Due to the injection of Dark Miasma, Courtney has become unable to maintain her senses. Hence becoming a Dark Mutant Beast: Dark Courtney. The longer exposure will result in permanent change of being a feral beast.
"Okay, seriously? Courtney has the strength to beat C Rank Mutant Beast!?" Duncan raise an eyebrow in disbelief of what they learn.
"A temporary boast in power, is it related to what changed her color?" Trent ponders about what the cause might have been about.
"It's likely the Dark Miasma stuff, but how did Courtney even get such an injection?" Gwen tried to understand what happen to their friend.
"Hey Stone Boy! Heads up!" Eva gave a warning to Trent to be ready.
Trent was worried because Dark Courtney was dashing ahead, and performed her Great Cat Claw move. It may have missed, but the destruction on the ground impact was not far. Trent even used a shield attach to his armor to block the next claw strike. While distracting the enemy, Lorenzo used Snake Bandage and Chet used Blazing Iron Whip to try to restrain Dark Courtney.
"GRRrrrr…." But Dark Courtney did not stop before taking in a deep breath. "FLAME CAT ROAR!/POWWVvhmmm…." Suddenly a large fireball was shot out of Dark Courtney's mouth heading for those restraining her.
"WAAAAAahhhh!?/BASH!" The large fireball knocked the Step-Brothers meters back and crashed through nearby brick walls that fell on top of them.
"This soul is lost, yet it's not fighting as it should be." Crimson states with a motion tone on how Courtney fights but not as one's true self.
"Then perhaps…it's time we step in…and put this battle to an end." Ennui stated on what to do as he prepares his red blades extending from his hands.
"SCREW KICK!" Crimson jumps directly into the air while spinning on her vertical axis at such speed that leaves afterimages, then unleashes a powerful whirling kick at the target.
"BRUTE STRIKE!" Ennui charges with his swords to deal a powerful blow.
"CLASHvvm…" Dark Courtney used her sharp claws to just barely defend that attack before pushing the Goths away.
"Urgh…I think that mutation is final kicking in!" Eva grabbed her stomach, as she felt something weird going on.
"Oh, yeah…I feel something too!?" Duncan cringed to drop on his knees, clutching himself from unknown pain.
Nearby, some were witnessing what was happening during the mid breaks fighting Dark Courtney. They watch as Duncan's backside was bulging before what popped out were 8 hexagon shape metal objects connected by wire cables. When they became active, allowed to emit blue energy which some extended into blades and seem to provide flight function. Eva's body grew to become 8-10 feet tall, her human features replace with lizard features: darker light tan scales, possessing a tail, reptilian red eyes, and certain horns on the head region. Eva's body gain a muscular build figure, gain four arms with the two located beneath the originals, three digits on each hand, and two big toes on each foot.
"NOW THIS…IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!" Eva exclaim from liking this new feeling of unleashed strength and power. "Hey big guy! Throw me at her!" Then she turns to Rodney to demand an odd request.
"Hugh, but I was told not to engage?" Rodney replied confused, he's supposed to be saved for another mission but…
"JUST DO IT!" Eva snapped in anger, not having time to argue.
Rodney suddenly felt very surprised being told what to do by this woman. But the behemoth did as told, grabbed Eva that rolled into a ball as she was launched out. That's when Eva uncurled herself to apprehend Dark Courtney by surprise.
"REOOWWwwwww…" Dark Courtney growls as she struggled to move her arms and legs, but Eva's four arms restrain her mobility.
"She caught her!?" Jay and Mickey replied in surprise, that was fast work.
"Heh, not so easy to break out of my hold…Especially when I got four arms!" Eva grins with confidence about her new stature. "Hey! Someone wanna get this collar off her! It's making weird sounds." She issued from noticing the weird glow and noise the ring collar was making since Eva was near it.
"Collar…hugh…that's it!" Gwen gasped upon realization at this moment. "Take off that collar, that's what's controlling Courtney!" She told the group of what needed to be done.
"Grrrr…FLAME CAT RAOR!/POWVvhmm…" Dark Courtney unleashed a roaring fireball from her mouth, forcing those a distance to keep away.
"BETTER HURRY! SHE'S ABOUT AS BAD AS WITH HER TEMPER AS I AM!?" Eva yelled out from seeing someone was angry, kinda like when she loses her temper.
Even with Eva restraining Dark Courtney, she unleashed fireballs and tried to unleash flame slashes at anyone that tried to get close. But then we see Duncan flying through the air and apparently he was carrying Staci. But it seem the little bird girl chick was wearing some near things. Staci wore some black armor set with a blue crystal shaped like an egg, sports a pair of red goggles with a black beak-like attachment. She also wore braces on her upper arms and lower legs, and wore a golden belt with a design similar to a hatching egg. Lastly she had some long black tech-hammer she was holding.
"Alright, you ready for this." Duncan asked how Staci was ready to begin.
"Yes I am!" Staci replied with eagerness in her voice. "Um, what am I doing again?" She suddenly asked, being very forgetful here.
"Seriously? Ugh…"Duncan groans from having heard this one forgot. "I used my Reward Points to get you this Black Raven Gear and Weapon, and you agreed to help my plan knock sense into Courtney." He instructs the chick avian girl on what she's gotta do.
"Okay, got it!" Staci replied from what she's been told. "Um, how?" But of course the girl felt like she didn't remember this one right.
"Urgh…I'm gonna drop you! Then temporally knock her with a hammer to get her off balance. She'll take it, trust me." Duncan groans again before explaining the situation once more.
"Wooahhh!?" Staci yelps as Duncan did drop her above Dark Courtney. "Ready or not! Here I come!" She grabs the hammer, wields it up and brings it down.
"KAPOW!/RAAARRRRR!?" That's when Staci's hammer landed a blow on the noggin causing Dark Courtney to screech in pain.
"Now's our chance…Jay and Mickey!" Trent exclaim before signaling to the centaur twins. "Try to charge her, I'll follow behind…" He instructs those on what they have to do next.
"On it! Knight Lancer!" Jay and Mickey replied before charging with gigantic lances.
But Dark Courtney managed to temporally throw Eva into the Adversity Twins path which that knock them across the field. Trent immediately ran to attack but Dark Courtney used her claws to stop the Rock Troll boy: but that gave someone else an opening when the werecat's guard was down.
"SLASH!" Duncan swooped down using one of the hexagon blades to form blue energy to slice the back part of Dark Courtney and luckily dealt damage to the dark collar. "ARrrrugh!?/SLASH!" Disturbed by the pain, Dark Courtney's guard drop to allow Trent to land his own attack but more on the dark collar in front. The two separate attacks alone broke the dark ring to drop on the ground, and in that instant…Dark Courtney's eyes widen before reverting to their previous color. And soon the werecat girl drops to her knees, completely dazed while dark mist was fading from her body. At this moment, the background music finished at this critical moment…

AFTER BATTLE EVENT
Once the battle was over, many were slowly approaching the slightly injured Courtney. Many were shocked to see the dark aura turn to mist as it drifted into the air. Some saw it came from the dark ring collar, and from the girl they defeated. Slowly the dark fur slowly reverts to the bright and colorful feature Courtney had before being expose to the Dark Miasma.
"Wow, her"
"Courtney, you alright?" Gwen was the first to kneel down to look at the daze werecat girl. "Do you…remember us?" She asked as she and Duncan approach Courtney, to have her remember those she had ties with.
"Ugh…Gwen…Duncan…" Courtney slowly replied, weaken and hurt to recognize those. "Yeah…I guess so….What…happened to you?" As Courtney slowly regain her senses, she realized something different: like Gwen and Duncan wearing strange outfits to the stuff on their backsides.
"It's a long story. But short side we got mutated to gain powers and abilities, you also mutated and were under someone's control." Trent
"Trent's right Courtney." Gwen tried to help her friend up as Courtney slowly gain her balance again.
"Oh…I'm sorry to have cause you so much trouble." Courtney apologized from having realized what she did. "Is this…really me now?" She saw her reflection off Trent's armor and sword. "Ugh, I must have really put you through a lot." She groans from feeling bad that she must have really done terrible things.
"Ehh, I pretty much went through your temper and survived." Duncan shrug off his shoulders, saying it's not so different from usual.
"Says the guy that was afraid of being clawed, burned or left with broken bones earlier?" Gwen made a sly smirk to remark the fact of what Duncan was hiding.
"Hmph-hmph, hahahh…did I really scare Duncan that much?" Courtney held her gut, as she let loose a laugh at picturing such a thing of terrifying Duncan.
"Totally." Gwen grins to compliment the girl on having really freaked Duncan out.
"Great, there goes my shot of not looking so pathetic!?" Duncan signed to shake his head at his big shot was shot down instead: pretty much a few members let loose some happy and jolly laughs except for the Goths.
"Well this is a disappointment?" Then something reappeared out of nowhere and hover above the others. "I suppose my control being left to a collar was a hollow idea." Yes, it was none other then Dark Phoenix himself.
"Dark Phoenix!" The others replied in surprise, they did not expect this unknown enemy to return.
"Wah…I…remember? But…your voice?...I-I heard it in my head? To obey and…?" Courtney lightly gasped to hold her head, as if having a momentary flashback of what she recalls now.
"Your head?" Eva raise an eyebrow, finding that topic a bit strange.
"Ohhh, you can hear people's voices, that's so cool?" Staci replied from misunderstanding the subject entirely.
"I think it might be the opposite?" Trent narrow his eyes from what Courtney meant at the hooded cloak guy. "Eva said this guy tame Courtney, maybe it's a Mutant Power to manipulate the mind." Trent could think of no other explanation of what occurred that someone as tough as Courtney would fall so easily.
"Very good, seems not all of you are clueless…" Dark Phoenix exclaim from seeing that there are some that have some intelligence. "At one who can speak to you in the mind." Then in a shocking surprise, everyone heard Dark Pheonix speak…but they heard it within their minds.
"Hugh!?" Courtney panicked to suddenly feel fearful. "No…I don't wanna hear that voice in my head again!?" She shook her head, trying to not listen to the voice again.
"Don't worry Courtney, your not alone." Gwen spoke to hold her friend's hand, trying to encourage Courtney who felt afraid.
Suddenly Dark Phoenix nearly yelps when feathers and red lasers were shot at the guy. And it came from the Goths who while not usually emotional, seem to be?
"Normally I don't mind a dark presence speaking to me and ushering words of darkness, even if it's the devil…" Ennui spoke with cold emotionless words without so much as blinking.
"But that's only for the fallen to accept, normal folks just aren't worth it if they still have things to live for." Crimson remarked a cold mood about the Goths not liking how this guy did things.
"Easy Courtney, it's over…" Gwen tried to help Courtney feel relax after what the Goths did.
"Pant…pant…Th-thanks…" Courtney pants a bit before weakly thanking those that helped.
"Yeah! And Perfect timing too!" Duncan frowns to say while having them hexagon things on the back light up. "I wanna beat this guy up for making Courtney act like a savage animal." Duncan was ready to really give someone a well deserve beating.
"Bro., I think this guy is like a total villain!" Lorenzo issue from raring his weapon to open fire.
"A villain that needs a lesson, we aim to dish it!" Chet proclaim from whirling his chains now.
"I have one thing to ask? Why would you do that to our friend?" Trent firmly stares at this foe, wondering why he put Courtney through all that.
"Simple, to experiment." Dark Phoenix replied one answer one could give out here.
"Experiment!?" The Adversity Twins and Step-Brothers gasped in shock, that sounds like what a real villain would do.
"The test sample I gave was to temporally empower Courtney with dark miasma, but now that she has regain her self awareness, her body is rejecting to fight the dark power. Shame, if it was stronger, such thing would be impossible. Oh well, that's what testing is about." Dark Phoenix explain the case while sounding a bit disappointed in the results but brushed them aside.
"Well guess what, your experiment is over, we are taking our friend and stopping you." Gwen protest as she levitated some broken structures to get ready to throw them forth.
"I love to challenge you, but you are not ready for me." Dark Phoenix issue to say which caught everyone a bit off guard. "Instead, I will leave your fate…to them." The foe replied with a hint of what was about to occur to keep those distracted.
Before anyone could stop Dark Phoenix, the guy vanished just as Gwen almost could grab the villain. Then without warning, something else began to appear that alerted everyone that they are not safe yet. A strange sound from above, and coming at the group were three Sand Yammas.
"Ah great, not these guys again?" Duncan rolled his eyes in annoyance, this is all they need.
"Everyone, we're gonna have to pull through if we wanna get out of here." Gwen instructs everyone on what needs to be done.
"Gwen, can I…" Courtney was about to assit in aiding the group but…
"You try to rest, we'll get through." Gwen assured Courtney not to push herself after the battle they just had. "Crimson, Duncan, in the air with me…" She pointed to those that could fly give air support.
Soon we see those that can fly try to lead the Sand Yammas away from the ground troops.
"While they distract them, we'll plan an airstrike from below. Everybody ready?" Trent instructs those with him on the ground of their own work ahead of them.
"Oh yeah! Let me throw stuff at them!" Rodney quickly grabbed some nearby stuff to throw them out.
The attacks were shot upwards, and just managed to take out one of the Sand Yammas. But one flew down and was performing it's Desert Wind to create dust devils to surround the ground support.
"Yikes! The dust devils are going to swallow us!" Jay yelps from what was coming at them just like before.
"We gotta get back before that even happens!?" Mickey felt they can't get taken by this dust devil like last time.
Suddenly a Sand Yamma flew through the dust devil, and almost slashed Rodney if he didn't just barely dodge in time. Those on the ground tried to again fire range attacks in the air, but the Sand Yamma evaded them before charging to attack again. But luckily Rodney used his newfound strength to stop the attack with his harden armor hide to repel it. But during that moment, a familiar skeleton tail bone with a blade was creeping behind: it was a pincer between a Sand Yamma and the Assassin of the Desert.
"Yikes! We're trapped!?" Chet yelps from seeing they had been caught between a rock and a hard place.
"One wrong move and it's over?" Lorenzo stated that they can't do anything that will backfire on them.
The situation was looking bad below, but things were not easy with those above. As Gwen, Duncan and Crimson fly to evade the last Sand Yamma chasing them.
"Any ideas to shake this guy off!?" Duncan asked for any suggestions, cause all they done is tried to lose this pursuer.
"Watch it!" Gwen warned as the Sand Yamma made the strange sound by the wings; creating double dust devils. "They're making dust devils again!" The girl knew that these bugs were a troublesome bunch when they create such havoc.
"What now?" Duncan asked from seeing their options are limited.
"I suggest we like, stop the insect altogether." Crimson dryly issue a rhetorical idea on what to do.
There was a surprising amount of agreement on what Crimson suggested, as the fliers turn around. The Sand Yamma created more dust devils to stop the attackers.
"DARK TORNADO!" Crimson used her black wings to create a dark tornado.
"SONIC SLASH!" Gwen has her psychic ability make her wings glow white and waved them outward, releasing one large white shockwave attack.
"MACHINE WING SHOT!" Duncan uses the mobility equipment to extend double laser cannon that fires blue energy shots.
The trio's attacks were strong enough to penetrate through the dust devils, and reach the target. "KABOOM!" The combine attacks caused an explosive force that defeated the Sand Yamma that had no defense against a surprise counterattack.
"Few, we did it." Duncan signed with relief that was finally over.
"Now we just gotta help the others…" Gwen issue on turning to focus on backing the others now.
But without any warning, a long scorpion bone tail shot out and suddenly wrapped around Gwen and Crimson. Duncan saw this and tried to help, but the tail suddenly was bringing the girls down before smacking them into the sand.
"Hey, you guys alright?" Duncan flies down to check the girls after the dust cloud cleared.
"Urgh, s-somehow…but appears I can't fly now?" Crimson groans from aching a bit, one of her wings was sprang from the crash impact.
"Aaahhh…" Gwen "Oh no…the sun lotion…I didn't have time to apply…the sun's rays are burning me!?"
Before anyone could do anything, something pops out of the sand. Turn out to be the bone claw as it rears ready to strike the weaken prey. Nearby, the other ground troops had Rodney, Chet, Lorenzo, Trent, Ennui working together to wrestle the remaining Sand Yamma. But they noticed that the assassin under the sand was targeting those injured.
"Ugh, Gwen's in trouble…" Courtney gasped upon seeing what happened to Gwen's group.
"Hey, we gotta finish this, the others need help?" Trent issue from seeing they can't waste anymore time.
"I got it…" But just as Eva managed to repel the Sand Yamma off Rodney, something moved beneath the sand…
"Hugh!? WATCH IT!" Rodney immediately acted to push Eva out before…
"POW!/AAAaaahhh!?" The same bone claw delivered an uppercut that knock Rodney in the air. "CRASH!" The bad news that Rodney hit Chet and Ennui that blew the sand away, looking like the behemoth was out.
"Yo, you okay!?" Trent checks Ennui after pulling him out from an out cold Rodney.
"Ugh…my body…I feel like death has come?" Ennui replied in a near exhausted dread state.
"Your body's overheated from the heavy black armor? Talk about bad timing?" Trent stated from noticing that the guy was sweating from bathing in the sun and cooking too long.
"Bro! Speak to me!" Lorenzo checks how Chet was doing, not so well from being crushed under Rodney.
"Hey, where the bug go?" Staci asked from noticing the Sand Yamma left them.
"It was here?/Where is it?" Mickey and Jay each pondered the same question as the other.
At this moment, the other bone claw was slowly moving in for the kill by where Gwen's group was station. Those on the ground couldn't make any sudden movements. Duncan seem the only one left but he was not sure what threat they were facing that hid. But then the last surviving Sand Yamma was seen preparing to attack those before it.
"FLAME CAT ROAR!" Then a large fireball came out of nowhere and completely knocked the Mutant Beast back.
"That move…?" Duncan recognized it, but couldn't believe it.
"GRREOOowww!" Then leaping onto the scene, was none other then Courtney. "You…Leave…Them…ALONE!" The angry werecat girl snarled as she pounced the Sand Yamma to the ground.
"POWVvhhmmm…/GRrrreeeeeehhh!?" Then Courtney unleashed enough flames from her mouth and claws to completely incinerate the screaming Sand Yamma to ashes.
"Woah…it's Courtney!?" Trent was amazed, Courtney just helped save someone. "Last I heard she let someone take a blow, but I guess not this time after being saved." The guy remembered what happen in Season Five's Total Drama, but maybe Courtney is really trying to help them.
"Hey bandage face, hurry and get the others out!" Eva yells at the one who can do some rescue work.
"Ri-right!? Yes ma'am!?" Lorenzo yelps to use Snake Bandage to pull the injured Crimson and Gwen out of danger.
Then without warning, the scorpion blade tail was lunging directly at the newly arrived target. "STAB!" But the blade missed when Courtney used her speed to evade. "CLASP!" Then the claws appeared to almost snatch the prey but Courtney managed to leap and evade.
"FLAME CAT ROAR!" Courtney announced before launching another fireball at the area.
"GRUUARRRrugh!?" A sudden beast roar was heard, as something appeared through the flames and popped out of the sand. "GRUUAAAOORRRRRRHHHHH!" This creature emitted a terrible screech that the echoed vibration pushed nearby sand away while in the jaws were dark miasma. Everyone finally got a good look at the Mutant Beast that was no longer hidden. It resembles a bipedal skeletal scorpion of the Mesobuthus martensii species type, with three yellow eyes and black markings on its body. It has two pairs of legs with red tips on its torso and its chela has red dactyls. It has a long, segmented tail with a blade on the end of it. It's size seems likely 75 feet tall. Taking this chance, those with Mutant Scouters quickly tried to figure out what they are truly dealing with.
MUTANT BEAST: SKULL SCORPION 'ASSASSIN OF THE DESERT'
TYPE: MUTANT UNDEAD INSECT
RANK: B
POWER LEVEL: 8700
Information: A collection of scorpions caught by a strong human hunter and their meat was eaten. Many piles of their remains and bones were left piling together. But then a sand quake broke and drop the remains to an underground where unstable mutagen and dark miasma gathered. This resulted in the birth of a new Mutant Beast from the remains merging to become huge, and it's instincts much deadlier along with gaining a mtuiply strength boast from the hunter's DNA on the bones. It sneaks up from behind the opponent while hiding its presence, and pierces the opponent with the venomous stinger at the tip of its tail. The venom that Skull Scorpion carries acts faster than the transmission speed of nerve, killing the opponent before they even realize that they have been stung. It's been given the nickname 'Assassin of the Desert' for this reason, since its opponent will not even know of its existence. Since it's considered a deadly creature, it's raised to be a fearsome Rank B Mutant Beast. It's signature move, Poison Pierce, attacks with the venomous stinger on its tail tip. It's second move, Black Out, blinds the opponent by spraying a slightly poisonous mist. Through this technique, it ensures that the opponent will never lay eyes on it.
"Woah! That's a lot to take in?" Mickey exclaimed from seeing how the information on this beast are as deadly as it's appearance.
"I wonder what human hunter could eat so many that this guy was born?" Jay ponders on what sort of person helped increase this beast's strength of being a killer in the animal kingdom.
"Wait…Eva? Didn't you say…you eaten nothing but scorpions?" Trent raise an eyebrow in recalling what Eva once said to them.
"Hugh…it's true…that thing…" Eva signed when all eyes fell upon her. "It came from where I toss the leftover scorpions I caught." She admits this without delay the truth that the human hunter…was herself.
"Great, so that explains everything!?" Duncan rolled his eyes to remark how this looks. "YOU CREATED A MONSTER VERSION OF YOU!" He yells out that Eva had created something of herself as a killer mutated undead insect.
"How the heck was I SUPPOSE TO KNOW!?" Eva protest that she was unable to learn how it all happened: she ate to survive, never knowing there was something below where she toss the remains.
"It doesn't matter, let's try hitting it while it's exposed." Trent instructs those to focus on trying to take this thing down.
"And here…" Mickey announced as Eva climbs onto his backside.
"We go!" Jay proclaimed when Trent also got on the back too.
"ECLIPSE STRIKE!" Trent charged his sword to release a Sword Beam shot.
"SEARING FIREBALL!" Eva roared as she breathed out a fireball.
"FOR MY BROTHER! NECROPHOBIA!" Lorenzo aim his weapon to fire energy shot blast.
"PERFECT STORM!" Staci spins around her hammer at first until…she slipped and let's go. "Whoopsy!?" She exclaim from letting her hammer slip off; but in the right direction.
"KNIGHT LANCER!" The Adversity Twins throws their lances directly at the enemy.
Everyone that could continue unleash their best attacks at the target. But Skull Scorpion held it's claws up to block the attacks before disbursing it. But then it performed it's Black Out which the sprayed poisonous mist slightly affected Trent and Eva.
"Ahh, I'm blind!?" Trent yelps from being unable to see.
"What's going on?" Eva tried to see, but was temporally blind.
That's when the enemy began to use it's long tail to jab at the speedy types. We see Mickey and Jay dodging by the ground with Eva and Trent riding on their backside. Everyone else had to run and split or else be in contact to that Poison Pierce move and that's the end for them.
"GRARROORRR!" Courtney leaped up over the claws before firing another focus Flame Cat Roar that swallowed the target. "Pusvhmm.." But then Skull Scorpion released a yellow flash from the eyes that completely wiped out that attack. A large dust cloud covered the whole field, blocking everyone's view.
"Um, did we win?" Staci asked puzzled if that was it now.
"Darkest evil like that are not so easily beaten." Crimson explained when she felt uneasy, as if something was not right.
"Pant…pant…urgh…" Then Courtney landed on the ground panting, she cringed because of her earlier injuries from battle were not all better. "GUuuuagh!?" Then without warning, a bone claw reached in and snatched the poor werecat girl.
"GROOOUUARRRRRruuhhh!?" And to anyone's horror, the Skull Scorpion survived, it released black mist from the mouth as it clutch Courtney in it's left claw.
"Nrrrarrruh…I can't…move!? It's…crushing…me!?" Courtney groans as she struggled to get free, but her strength was limited and she couldn't go on.
"COURTNEY!?" Gwen and Duncan cried out, the girl was caught and about to be cut in two: the punk boy started to run in when…
"Duncan, what are you doing?" Trent grabbed Duncan after his sights temporally return to him. "That thing's a B Rank you're about to face alone!?" He points out what Duncan was charging himself into.
"So what!?" Duncan protest, not caring about such details.
"Look around, everyone's exhausted from facing Courtney, we barely won against her if we didn't release what controlled her. And top it off facing those Sand Yammas when we weren't at our best threw us off our game." Trent explain what's happen as best he could of their current situation. "Even though Courtney's back to her senses, she might not be well from that Dark Miasma stuff." The guy pointed out another major fact that explains Courtney's situation of being weaken.
"But…Courtney?" Duncan didn't want to watch the girl suffer in the claws of an enemy beast.
"I'll try to distract it, my body's hard enough to buy time…" Trent offered as he was about to go in but…
"Trent…ah…no…" Gwen groans as she struggled to move to stop the Rock Troll boy. "Even Rodney's harden body was damaged. You can't even see right, you'll just end up in danger…" The girl knew that Trent was being a good friend to help, but this was pushing the limit.
"If I don't, Courtney won't last long…" Trent stated that it was not cool to watch someone in peril when they can do something.
Duncan feel into silence after hearing this, as he watches the werecat grit her teeth to endure the claw squeezing her middle portion. The boy had instant flashes of everything he and Courtney went through before returning to the present. Duncan looked at his backside of the Machine Wings he gain with some thought.
"I took this damn thing because I wanted to remain human, but so what? I'm fast sure, but not strong enough." Duncan protest from realizing what he cost everyone at this time because of hesitation. "Looks like I got no choice, we almost died when Chris had us on those reality shows, but this one's far worse." The boy suddenly pulls out something he had on hand, another cell capsule. "Courtney…you may be a pain and drive me crazy…but watching you die like this…I'm not okay!" The guy admits this before with determination, held the last capsule he had and… "JAB!/AAaahhh…Twice in one day…I don't know what's gonna happen!?" Yep, Duncan went and jabs the other Mutagen Cell Capsule as he cringes after injecting the blue liquid into his body.
-WARNING! MUTATION IN PROGRESS-
As Topher was observing the battle against Skull Scorpion, the systems alarms broke him off. That's when the monitor showed the recent actions of Duncan injecting another cell capsule into his body.
"Woah and woah some more…this keeps getting more and more tricky to follow?" Topher exclaim from what has happened that left him stump. "Duncan has taken another Mutant Cell Capsule just AFTER using one before!" The guy knew that this could spell something big…
Working quickly, Topher was able to get the data he needed to reveal information on Duncan's first Cell Capsule. The symbol displays what looks like a wolf inside blue flames: Blue Fire Wolf.
"So our boy Duncan is about to undergo a change to become a werewolf, is he?" Topher exclaim from knowing precisely where this was leading up to. "Wait, there's more data coming in and it's colliding with the first batch?" The guy was working on typing up a storm from the information coming in.
That's when the system began to read a new data input that brought about the results. Displaying the two Mutant Power abilities Duncan previous had, and a new result from mixing the two to create a third unique one. It resembles a blue flame with a wolf's body and with wings: Blue Fire Wolf – Sagittarius Mode.
"Well it seems like Duncan might have just hit something that will really make some become jealous of him. And it's almost similar to what happened to Sam." Topher quoted from having seen the data to compare this action similar to another event. "For a big showboat moment for Duncan to take the stage, something this extreme calls for, you guess it…" The boy pulled up a song from the list to begin everything on his side. "Here's Ex-Treme Fight song to make our boy Duncan, look even more of a cool bad boy that will leave you howling for more. No pun intended, so…here we go!" That's when Topher began to final setups as everything went dark…
-MUTATION EVENT: DUNCAN-
The scene slowly returns to what was currently happening. Courtney was still in the clutches and was slowly about to lose from her weaken and injured state. But then something charged in and was struggling to open the pincer claw. What the werecat girl saw was…Duncan himself, trying to lift with his hands and push with his feet while hovering in the air by the machine wing pack.
"Ugh…Duncan…What are you…" Courtney groans to struggle when seeing who came into such a dangerous situation.
"What do you think? Here to rescue your sorry butt!" Duncan remarked to say the answer was obvious to little miss know-in-all to figure out.
"Forget it! You stand…no chance? Ahhh…?" Courtney groans and aches from the squeezing pressure hurting her. "Just leave me!" She snapped for Duncan to forget her and get out of here.
"As much as that's pleasant and smart, I'll take a rain check because.." Duncan was trying to say while trying to put more strength in what he's doing.
"Because…what?" Courtney asked from not understanding why Duncan would go this far.
"Grrr…" Duncan lets off a low growl as without warning, the pincer claw was slightly opening.
"Ahhh!?" Courtney gasped from seeing Duncan was…actually helping out.
"I REFUSE…" Duncan started to say out loud, as his eyes were glowing a bright color. "TO LOOOOOOOSSSEEE!" He yells while truly pushing the pincer claws with both feet and hands and ignoring the pain. "GRRAAUUARRRRRHHH!" That's when Duncan unleashed a mighty roar without warning when pushing himself to the limit.
At this moment, the background was playing 'Ex-Treme Fight' for the big event. Many witnessed Duncan pushed the powerful claw opened that freed Courtney, as the guy's entire body was enveloped in a bright blue flashing light.
"What's going on!?" Eva recovered her eyesight to witness something happening.
"It's Duncan! He's…" Trent started to say from what was happening. "He's undergoing another Mutation!?" The guy stated on what Duncan has chosen to do.
"But into what!?" Staci asked as many couldn't see what was happening inside the blue sphere.
"MUTATION…" Dunca's voice was heard within the blue sphere, as his body was growing… "EVOLUTION!" With that final outburst cry, blue flames surrounded the body's skin while the armor gear set was unaffected.
Once the effect was completely covered the whole body, Duncan had leaped out of the blue sphere. Spiraling in mid-air, something landed down with a powerful stomp that slightly shook the desert sand. That's when everyone got a good glimpse of Duncan's new appearance. Duncan had grown almost to be 30 feet tall, turning into a bipedal beast resembling a werewolf with light blue fur, a white underside, dark blue tiger stripes, and magenta claws. Even the armor and equipped long claws expended to adjust the new form along with the machine wings on the backside. It was staring at a creature that was half-man, half-wolf and half-cybernetic gear attachment to explore a whole new world.
"LEVEL-UP – COMPLETE!" Duncan announced forth while unleashing a mighty werewolf roar in the process.
"Is that…Duncan? No way?" Courtney had sat up on the sand to stare in surprise, at Duncan's change appearance.
"He's become…a Werewolf?" Gwen slowly spoke as she and everyone else nearby recognize the change.
"More then that…He's become…a RANK B Level!?" Trent used the scouter to learn what Duncan's become, and read a Power Level: 9400!
At this moment, Duncan suddenly dashes across the desert heading right for the enemy. "GURRARRRRHHH!" But Skull Scorpion launches it's venous stinger for a Poison Pierce maneuver. "CLIP!" But in a shocking surprise, the tip of the blade was caught between…TWO FINGERS!? "URrrrarrrrgh!?" Skull Scorpion lightly snarls from witnessing it's attack failed before Duncan lightly threw it across to drop on the ground.
"HUURGH!/KA-SLASH!" At that moment, Duncan used his left hand to karate chop the mid-section of the bone tail clean off.
"GRAAAAAA-AARRRHhhhhhh!?" Skull Scorpion roared in agonizing pain as it just lost it's bone tail joint.
"WOW!?" Staci, Jay and Mickey were utterly amazed, Duncan really has become far stronger then before.
"HUURRGH!/POWWwmmm!" Then Skull Scorpion tried to use both claws to attack, but Duncan had open palms to stop the attacks in place in less the 5 seconds reaction to the opponent's speed.
"GRAAAA-HAARrruuuhhh!" Skull Scorpion let off a black mist, as if witnessing this prey was not going down as easily as the others.
"Heh, that all you got…Scorpion-Head!?" Duncan remarked at the Mutant Beast as it struggles to hurt him, but he was just...stronger.
"BASH!" At that moment, Duncan leaped to disappear in a blur as the claws bash into the other. Then we see Duncan across the opening with his fist up. That's when Skull Scorpion tried to take a few fast claw strikes, but Duncan was dodging them like he was at a professional boxer's level.
"HAAAHHHH!" Duncan suddenly went on the offense, and started landing fast kick blows. "Kick-Kick-Kick-Kick-Kick-Kick…" This Werewolf Kicks were dealing some rapid fast blue blur blow damage against the enemy that could not defend against such speed.
"GRAuuuarrrrhhhh!" But Skull Scorpion launched a surprise left hook with it's claw, and it was heading for…a defenseless Courtney.
"Hugh!?" Courtney's eyes spotted the attack coming on her left side too late, but…
"GRAARRGH!/SMASH!" Just at that instant, Duncan showed up to bash the left claw with his left fist like a reflex guard. "Crack-Crack…/KABLAMM!" The powerful impact caused the bone claw to crack, before it completely shattered to explosive pieces which surprised many, including the attacker.
"GRAAUUUAARRRRRRRHHHHHH!" Skull Scorpion let off a deadly screeching scream: released dark miasma from the mouth and prepared a final strike with it's right claw remaining when launching directly at Duncan.
"GRRUUAARRRAHHH-AARRRGH!" Duncan suddenly was charging his nails in red energy before leaping upwards. "KAISER NAIL!/SLASHHHH!" Duncan announced this powerful move before dealing an 'X' cross blow claw strike.
"SLASHHHH!" And in that instant, Duncan's attack caught a shock Skull Scorpion off so much because…THERE WAS A RED ENERGY 'X' THAT CUT THE MAIN BODY!? "GRrruar-AARRARRRRRrrrrr…" Skull Scorpion let off what was the last screech it could muster as it's entire body was cracking at an alarming rate when splitting apart before… "KA-BOOM!" The entire skeleton scorpion beast was shattered into tiny bone pieces that were blown all over the area.
"GROOOARRr-AAARRrrrrrr-AARRRRR!" Duncan let off a powerful wolf battle cry at having been victorious. At the same moment, the background music had reach it's conclusion…
"No way…is this real!?" Eva had widen eyes and a gaping mouth, absorbing this victory.
"Duncan winning, yeah…hard to really believe it." Trent nods his head, knowing it's a shocker that Duncan won the battle.
"Not that! Him beat something that should had my DNA to strengthen that thing!? This is an insult!" Eva protest in sounding upset, because it's like she didn't beat Skull Scorpion, someone else did for her.
"Well, maybe the next skeletal scorpion that appears, you can fight it at full strength." Gwen tried to think positive to help ease Eva's stress and pride.
"Agh, alright…I'll let the guy have this one…for now." Eva groans to complain while giving in with cross arms and a huff tone.
"Amazing…Duncan fought to protect and save me!? Even put his life on the line!?" Courtney was utterly spell-bound after what she saw; enough that she was blushing red.
While Courtney was just absorbing what transpired, Duncan turn around to face her and the others. And that's when the guy gave a sly smile and held his left hand to make a thumbs-up. Signaling that he won that battle, hands down.

AFTERMATH OF THE EVENT
Once the events against Skull Scorpion were over, there were many things that needed taking care of. Namely returning to Eva's old base camp to cool off some of the members of Team Twilight Moon. Right now it appeared that the heat had cause sever burns on Crimson, Lorenzo seem to almost have it more bad from the burn bandages, and Gwen was looking like she had endured a greater suffering of the sunlight. Right now Rodney and Trent picked up those in need of help into a recently brought wooden carts thanks to Jay and Mickey and driven by Eva and Staci. The last ones put in were the slightly unconscious Ennui and Chet who were the last to recover from the battle. Then Duncan carefully placed Courtney in one of the carts before sitting next to her as everyone was now heading off. Wasn't long before someone broke the silence…
"Hey Duncan, how do you feel now that your a werewolf?" Staci went ahead to ask the question that everyone was thinking. "Oh wait, weren't you human…or am I remembering it wrong?" She stops to ponder about that, having forgotten the truth already.
"Please, even before he was mutated, calling him human is a far off question with a farther answer that can't be found." Courtney proclaimed with a remark on recalling Duncan's character to her view of him.
"Really, you're giving me this NOW!? After what just happen earlier?" Duncan exclaim to remark back at the girl giving him issues then praises.
"Easy, Courtney, you should remember…Duncan ended up giving up looking human to help save you. Not many honest guys go that far for just any girl unless they care about them." Trent rest a hand on Courtney to not lose her temper and remember, Duncan gave up something to save her when the girl's very life was at stake.
"Hugh…" Courtney signed from knowing she can't argue when someone was right. "Um, did you…go that far for…Gwen?" Courtney asked from recalling that Trent wouldn't turn himself into a Rock Troll unless Gwen's life was endanger, was it?
"She beat me too it, but I don't regret taking what help me get the strength to try to protect her." Trent stated from knowing full well about what was his choice to make.
"Hey if you lovers don't shut it, then I'll leave you behind." Eva snapped to get those to quit the lovey-dovey stuff. "Hey you, big man!" She turns to address Rodney without warning.
"Hugh?" Rodney yelped upon someone calling him, and a girl no less.
"Listen…You took, a few beats for me, so…thanks." Eva stated from having a difficult time admitting this to not look the guy in the eye. "Perhaps when we have time, I could use a sparing partner to last long enough to take my punches." She issued from offering the guy to be a training partner since she rarely finds one who can spar with her and last as long.
"Oh…I, well…gee, I…" Rodney suddenly was seeing Eva with heart backgrounds… "You, really want me?" The guy rubbed his back head with a sheepish tone.
"Is that a no?" Eva raise an eyebrow from feeling annoyed that she offered a nice thank you, and this is what she gets.
"Yes…oh, I mean no. I mean…" Rodney yelps from breaking out of his lovey-dovey state. "I love to be your punching buddy." He nods happily and proudly without a second thought.
"Heh, never thought any guy say that…I think you and I are gonna get along just fine." Eva lightly smirked from seeing that maybe Rodney will be a nice person she can get decent training.
"Wasn't Rodney saying he was in love with Courtney earlier?" Jay ponders that before Rodney talked about the 'Mystery Beauty' who saved them.
"Seeing that Courtney has someone, he had to break off with her…I think?" Mickey pointed off in recalling what happened: Rodney did the weird break off thing after learning Courtney had Duncan, sorta.
"Man, I never thought my body would ache this much, Hugh Chet?" Lorenzo exclaim from feeling how inured he was, he may need more bandages. "Oh right, he's still slightly out cold." The guy forgot that Chet was only making moans from not being fully awaken.
"Rest well my dark knight, then next you awaken…there will be much more grim tales to be heard." Crimson gently brushes Ennui's forehead as the dark knight slumbers.
"Ooh…who thought that being in the heat could be this painful?" Gwen cringed from staying under some protective shade, having forgotten the weakness of being a vampire type species.
"Gwen, I feel so ashamed of myself, you went the distance to help and instead I…" Courtney felt really bad about what had occurred that Gwen pushed herself to help. "I don't understand why you go that far?" She was still lost, why did Gwen go the distance to help her.
"Just as I wanted to make amends back in Season Five, this was the same." Gwen smiled lightly to tell Courtney about how this was similar to another event. "And if you want, can join us." She smiled to happily welcome the girl into Twilight Moon.
"Yeah, you already got the werecat theme down. And now with me are a werewolf, we're quite the pair." Duncan shrug off his shoulders to admit that they are practically members of the monster theme team.
"Ugh, that joke was so corny…" Courtney moans from having to suffer such a bad joke. "But I am glad that you risk your life to save mine, jumping into the enemy's grip was the stupidest thing you ever done." She stated to say while remarking how Duncan's choice was as said…pretty stupid beyond normal standings.
"Hey!" Duncan felt insulted by that remark.
"But it was the bravest…thanks, you big old softy." Courtney smiles to lean and hug the werewolf's arm while purring at the moment.
"Softy!?" Duncan protest from hearing what was said about me. "I just took down a powerful Beast that had the strength of ten or more Evas, and you think I'm soft?" The guy beats a difficult opponent, and one doesn't think he's a tough guy after that to be called soft.
"What do you think? Mister Snake-Hands!?" Courtney and Gwen replied with a sly grin across their faces; never forgetting the time Duncan couldn't beat up a poor pathetic and innocent bird: even his old nickname was tarnish afterwards.
"Ah man, the girls are ganging upon me." Duncan groans from feeling this was just not his day.
"Well we'll be home at Castle Gothic soon, I think we all need a break." Trent stated from knowing that everyone is tired and spent after that long battle. "This was definitely a harder challenge then most for sure…" The guy admitted that if they continued fighting, they have no energy left to get back home.
"My-my, it seems that things have certainly taken a new turn?" A male voice was heard in the distance…
Everyone was puzzled while on alert if another enemy was nearby. The centaur twins stopped to look if something was near, but there was still lots of open desert. But then a hologram image of a billionaire old man appeared, and many that meant the guy new who it was.
"Mr. X?" Those that knew the guy announced his name on the spot.
"Oh my, it's him. Its really him isn't it." Staci exclaimed from sounding super excited on who they get to meet. "Hmmm, um, quick question? Who is he suppose to be again?" Yep, that threw the moment out from one who has a slight memory problem to be a forgetful little avian bird girl.
"Hey X, I got a bone to pick with you!" Duncan glares his werewolf eyes down at the guy without so much as hesitating his action. "First off, who the heck was that guy earlier and secondly, what's happen to Courtney that she was acting so strangely and just change color?" Duncan was literally asking a bunch of questions after what they had to deal with.
"Relax Duncan, besides…that's just a hologram. He's not really here." Trent calmly grabbed a pebble and threw it by Mr. X which to those that forget, the man always appears but not physically.
"I see you obtain a grand prize?" Mr. X walks close to one wood cart to find a wrapped cloth of bandages that hid the Skull Scorpion's tail part. "Very well done." He praises those on having obtain a strong weapon from a defeated foe.
"Hey mister…I wanna talk to you!" Courtney lashed out from staring at the one who has answers. "Is this entire thing your idea. Taking us to your island, turning us into mutants, and having someone nearly kill us!?" She was laying it out like alyawer ready to sue the guy.
"My dear, you were chosen to partake in a new study of human evolution." Mr. X spoke forth in a calm manner without sounding worried. "I would think that you would wish to be top of the class to gain a perfect record of yourself, do you not?" He address to explain things in which someone like Courtney, could understand.
"Well I, that is…" Courtney stopped herself, because she is someone that wants to have a perfect record on her account in any field.
"Don't bother Courtney, he's someone who's hard to figure out." Gwen stated from knowing how Mr. X has ways of dodging questions.
"Still, wasn't that too close, who was that masked cloak figure?" Trent raise an eyebrow to ponder who was it that attacked them and was manipulating Courtney on the side.
"Someone else who will help you grow." Mr. X simply stated the answer by a simple phrase.
"Grow!? Then what do you make of little miss itty there who's evolved into a child with her mind like a forgetful kid?" Duncan raise an eyebrow in pointed to Staci, who's mutated evolution seem more de-evolving to anyone's thoughts on the subject of growth.
"Everything is presented, weather you take it or by accident is another story. Miss Courtney took the Mutagen thinking it was a drink, she could have maintain control but a tired body and mind can also have side effects on judgement." Mr. X explain the case on what occurred that was base on a person's well being and stable condition. "But if you wish, I can tell you…Miss Staci is still herself, just that she needs time to either rediscover herself. But by that time, she may like who she is more then who she was." The guy spoke with riddles that seem like answers but pop up more questions.
"Wow that sounds very…puzzling?" Jay scratch his head from what they heard.
"Are we also fine, cause we believe so? Right?" Mickey asked from knowing the twins have never felt so good in their lives till now.
"You are all fine, and if you think this is as far as you can go…" Mr. X spoke as he turns to look at the far distance and the sky. " Sorry to say, but the sky is the limit, just as Mr. Duncan went beyond, the rest of you may get stronger by training and evolving one step at a time…" When he said these things, it really made those feel like they have more to come. "Here's a little update on what you have each acquired to help understand the situation." The man spoke to have something to ease things a little with some intel update.
Suddenly after Mr. X said this, a special large size holographic display monitor appeared. There was a list of those that had undergone the Mutation Events along with stuff of certain important intel and details.

"It was very close, after all there was much to consider." Mr. X stated to mention on what to consider on performance. "And many of you acquired some nice rewards from the points spent for outfits design to adjust for any new mutated appearance." The man calmly points out what some here have already gain by their own efforts.
"Oh, so your gonna be cheap now?" Eva raise an eyebrow in thinking that's what this guy's gonna do.
"Not to worry, I shall reveal good rewards to your liking." Mr. X then snap his fingers which a drone appeared to drop something in Rodney's hands: large-size mechanical gauntlets with a board stretching up to the shoulders when facing down and had a blue diamond gemstone in the center piece. "To begin, we have the Rockending Gauntlets, made of harden metal to give one such as you the strength to be a defensive tank, and with the necessary firepower to puncture targets like a rocket force." The man explained what these gauntlets were, and how they function.
"Wow! Haha, I never would have guess I could be useful as a tank for my brawn!?" Rodney lightly laughs off as he took the new gauntlets and tried them on.
"Well if you go all berserk, then it's clear…to stay out of the way." Duncan rolled his eyes to remark a slight joke that for the behemoth guy, if he cuts loose could pose a slight threat.
"So your afraid he'll whelp you?" Courtney made a sly grin to tease Duncan that if he's not careful, Rodney might prove too tough for him.
"Hardly!" Duncan protest from not thinking that was the answer at all.
"For the twins, these Summon Lance Wrist-banes, are yours." Mr. X presented a little tech a drone delivered to Jay and Mickey. "You both are excellent launchers, they will be more handy then picking up and throwing things." The man explains this from seeing how good the twin centaur boys were able to perform.
"Wow!?/Thanks!?" Mickey and Jay replied as they accepted and strap the devices on their wrist, allowing them to summon special theme color knight lances that resemble darts.
"Alright, so do I get a special reward now too? I'm hoping it's something like a motorcycle." Duncan exclaim while revealing what he's hoping to get.
"Dear Duncan, you already received such a grand prize that was left un-touch, I will tell you something important." Mr. X stated from something informing Duncan about the Battle Machine Wing. "You have only scratch one surface, the Saggitaruis is still there…apart of you, and you may find it useful later on." He lets on some interesting facts for the werewolf boy to uncover.
"Um, okay?" Duncan slightly raise an eyebrow, uncertain if that's a good enough reward or not.
"And for Courtney, for what you been through, perhaps this may satisfy what you experience." Mr. X had a drone deliver, a strange little device that was customized with gold, silver and diamond beads.
"This is?" Courtney was a bit perplex, not sure what this thing was.
"A special Diamond Tracker if you will, besides wanting to be a lawyer, you wish to gain riches to help finance your daily life." Mr. X stated on knowing this could be something the werecat will be most interested. "You may find it strange, a rich billionaire offering where one can find diamonds on his every expanding island strange. But…this place continues to make so much, why not share." He shrug off from not feeling even any bothered fact of handing what others could acquire from his island.
"Make so much diamonds, that's impossible. They take many years in volcanos, and.." Courtney was stating the logical facts on how diamonds would be made, but then stopped to sign in defeat. "You know what, at this rate of knowing there's so many unknowns here, I'll just accept this." The girl knew that this place had many unknown things going on that defile logical sense, so why argue if there's a place where so many diamonds keep on coming.
"An excellent choice, perhaps at a later date give you a reward for achieving over 225,000 Reward Points, especially the defeat of a B Rank." Mr. X exclaim from knowing that while not now, will provide a nice gift for those that took down the Rank B Mutant Beast opponent.
"Uh-huh, why not give us some sea vessel to help us leave, would you give it?" Courtney rolled her eyes from wondering they probably can leave the island, so a boat vessel might be out of the question.
"Hmmm, I don't see why not. I gave a mobile air fortress, it may even prove useful for sea events? So at the right time, it will be presented. I may have Topher handle it…this Mystery Reward." Mr. X ponders to think and found the idea very satisfying for maybe another quest out at sea or the ocean floor. "For now, I look forward to more events you take upon yourselves to explore. Life is too short without something, to bring excitement to the making…" He exclaim from speaking his own words on thoughts and wanted everyone to find themselves and evolve during that time.
Once that was over, before anyone could say anything…a bright flash enveloped Mr. X. And the next minute when the light dim down, Mr. X had vanished from sights like he's done before.
"Man, and I thought Chris was a hard guy to figure out and deal with?" Eva raise an eyebrow from seeing how this scene was somewhat familiar. "Should we deal with him when he's in the flesh?" The tough girl asked from thinking they use a little force.
"No, Mr. X is different. He's giving us so much to enjoy and survive to make our own living on the island, Chris wouldn't even give us so much as what's cheaper." Gwen pointed off in knowing Mr. X is giving them more things then Chris ever did.
"Ditto, besides…" Courtney nods to say while looking at what she's gotten. "I think we can see this as a golden opportunity to exploit. I may just get that degree to be a lawyer, and the first one for this island." The girl was already thinking ahead of what she can gain from this.
"Well if we get to live like kings and queens, I'll at least try to get use to living in a castle out of a horror film." Duncan exclaim from where one can enjoy life, after all, if one looks like from a monster movie, may as well live where it feels homey. "Heck, maybe being a werewolf now, I might not mind as much." The guy admits that before, it was hard living under a roof of scary themes and folks, but now that he's a werewolf, might help improve things.
"What about the others?" Trent ponders about what to do with Mickey, Jay, Staci and Rodney from here.
"When we get back, we will try to figure things out. Right now…" Gwen stated that they can decide if these guys wanna join their team or join someone else that they rather be. "Let's get home and take a long break." The girl expressed her thoughts out loud, all this fighting has left them tired out.
Slowly those active and awake were in agreement. Course when Eva heard there was a team that likes to keep physically fit, the Iron-Brigade sounds up her alley: and Rodney felt like that be where he outta go too, both for his strength…and cause he secretly wants to follow Eva. The Adversity Twins and Staci feel they wanna see what looks like could be good teams for them to get along with. And while everyone was slowly heading off to leave the desert, something was watching them from above. It was none other then Dark Phoenix, having observed things that have progress to this stage.
"Well that did not go as plan?" Dark Phoenix stated on how the lost of controlling Courtney to the defeat of Skull Scorpion was not according to plan. "I suppose this requires more…research on how to approach events like this?" While speaking, the figure was seen slowly removing the phoenix mask that covered the face. "And this will be good to help spread my EVIL influence to rule over all…" What was believed to be a man was in fact a woman, and not just any…it was Scarlet herself.
After Scarlet said all of that, she levitated herself to fly away. Apparently she's now capable of using certain mutant powers. And if that wasn't enough, she had a strange device that instantly teleported her away. Many unknown facts and questions lie around this one evil person with secret agendas, but what they are…remain a secret for now…
ELSEWHERE
DURING THIS MOMENT
The scene slowly opens to where it's a little lovely home setup place. At least the perfect accommodations for celebrities like Chris McLean, along with his partner and buddy Chef. We see Chef cooking up something while he and Chris saw the latest exploits of Team Twilight Moon's latest struggle adventure.
"Hohohooo, man, that was a killer that time." Chris laughs off a little bit, finding that action to be a juicy one.
"What do you mean that time?" Chef raise an eyebrow to question the guy's thoughts on what they saw. "Almost every time it's like them kids are gonna die." The guy was not wrong, it almost looked like them contestants were almost finished.
"And yet they never do. The way we pick them to compete on our show, they gotta be tough as cockroaches…" Chris issued to say slyly on having made certain, those that compete for challenges at least survive enough to make it through. "Until their expiration date arrives." That's when Chris let that one slip under his lips.
"Still, Courtney was about the scariest thing…if she was like that before, you know that suing you be the least of your worries." Chef scratch his chin from thinking that if Courtney had that kind of scary mutated power, she make Chris pay for what he put her through.
"True, and recalling her anger and management are a bit up for questioning? Especially for my own sake?" Chris took a moment to think about such a thing for a second. "But hey, no skin off my bones if I'm not the one pulling the strings." He shrug off his shoulders, not worried in the slightest since he's in the clear.
"Interesting way of view, Mr. McLean?" Another voice was heard speaking into the room
That's when someone was seen walking through the front door to surprise the duo: none but Mr. X himself came to visit Chris and Chef.
"Mr. X, so appearing by same means?" Chris smiled to greet the sly and sneaky man who knows how to make things to make one's self richer.
"Tell me, do you believe that everything is as plan out as it seems?" Mr. X asked an intriguing question out of the blue here.
"Ugh, isn't it?" Chef raise an eyebrow, not following the statement like it meant this latest event was unknown, not scripted at all.
"Oh no, for just as there are Mutant Beast, so too are others with higher intelligence. They just decide when and where to appear." Mr. X simply put that just as there are wild animals with intelligence, they have the will to make contact with anything they find.
"So it's like…if campers got the attention of wolves, bears, even upset eagles on mountains, and even sharks, gators and piranhas in the water, they attack because they were there?" Chef asked from trying to understand the concept of what they seen was like those with wit to see either prey or predator.
"In a way, you are not wrong. But while some have lack of mind to rely on brute force, others with cunning can be dangerous." Mr. X explain the manner to which the gentleman in the room followed about understanding the animal kingdom is not as different even when some have been mutated. "So now you see the fine point. But not all animals go with instinct, humans fall to the same category of becoming far worse then animals themselves. After all, the figure who was controlling the girl…was someone with a free will to decide their action." He pointed off to mention what the Dark Phoenix was plotting to use a controlled Courtney to their advantage.
"Wait, so are you saying….there is a real villain behind the scene?" Chris asked from having heard this which Mr. X nods to confirm it. "Hugh, I guess that might make this show even more popular? Imagine the title of a new series: Super Mutant Teenage Heroes And Villains!" The guy was already thinking of ways to turn this situation into a new money making machine.
"Really Chris, didn't you see how dangerous that was for those kids? And who's to say they won't show up here?" Chef raise an eyebrow that Chris had failed to understand the situation a bit more clearer.
"Oh don't worry, that won't happen." Mr. X stated after raising a hand to assure the gentlemen, such a danger won't happen.
"You see that Chef. You worry too easily." Chris grins that Chef was overthinking things.
"Hmm…at least, as long as whoever is operating behind the scenes, does not know you are here?" Mr. X held his chin to ponder this thought out loud about another issue.
"Perfect…" Chris replied without a care until he did a double take. "Wait, what now?" The guy was lost, he thought they were safe.
"Our instruments detected that someone has gain some mutant power, it could be the one that was from the Gold Mutagen Cell Capsule?" Mr. X reveal a shocking surprise while he remains perfectly calm.
"Hum…Didn't that one give one the power to move things and direct contact with the mind from their own brain power." Chef tapped his forehead to scratch in recalling what mutated power the gold capsule object could give.
"Yes, both are of a Telekinetic and a Telepathic ability. So it appears one has found it and knows what they are doing. It may even be one who's smart enough to remain out of sight." Mr. X stated to know very well that someone has enough smarts to not be well known by hiding their identity.
"So, is it one of your mutated creatures that are a Beast Man?" Chris asked from looking a bit worried while trying to stay cool.
"That might be it, or…it's a contestant who shows themselves much more difficult that you both couldn't handle." Mr. X issue to say while leaving some questionable food for thoughts. "Well then, do look forward to other events. This might have been the first that certain contestants fought a foe that was another of their own even outside the tournament arena…but it might not be the last…" He issued to say while leaving much of what was said to hold more questions then answers.
With enough said, Mr. X suddenly turns around to walk away. A large smokescreen covers the spot, and when it was over…the man was gone like that.
"Man, he pulls off great disappearing acts, but I wish he explain that one a bit more?" Chef was still uncertain about what they were talking about. "Yo Chris, what's with you?" Then the guy saw Chris biting his nails while looking around in fear.
"Who, me? Why nothing?" Chris sheepishly tried to lie and pretend he was good. "Haha, whatever do you mean? Certainly I'm not worried that whoever was controlling Courtney, may show up here? With a grudge against me like that time with Ezekiel?" The guy was sweating from remembering everything that happened when his life was endanger.
"Uh-Hugh, sure….and I'm not Chef!?" Chef rolled his eyes from seeing through them lies Chris was making up. "Well while you quiver in fear, I'm gonna make something…" Chef went back to working on what else he was cooking up in the kitchen.
"Fear? Please, as if a professional like me gets scared on camera." Chris boast to pretend he was not understanding such a subject. "What sort of new threats await those ahead? And who might this mystery stranger be? And will there be more Old cast members fighting against others against their wills?" Chris looked to the viewing audience to give them his speech on what to look forward to. "Tune in next time on…TOTAL…DRAMA…MUTANT MAYHEM!…" Chris pointed out while making the long announcement for those watching this series to stay tune for more.
"Chris, watch out!?" Chef called out from the kitchen to warn Chris.
"Ha! Nice try Chef, I know you are playing a prank. As if I fall for it? Maybe when Pigs Fly!" Chris smirks to know it's a ploy for Chef to prank him when he least expects it: the guy grabs a plate of chocolate truffles to eat when…
"Sqqqqeeeeee…." What came flying and started to react in an attack pattern was really…a brown boar with white feather wings!?
"Gaaaaahhhhh! There's a flying pig attacking me!" Chris yelps to try to swat the flying piglet away from this unexpected surprise.
"Technically it's a flying boar, and it's wanting your truffles." Chef pointed out of what was attacking was a mutated boar wanting Chris' meal.
"No way! These chocolate truffles are imported gourmand!" Chris protest that he refuses to share what he got shipped to him to some animal. "Gaaaahhh…not the hair?!" Then the mutated boar was chewing Chris' hair in protest.
That leaves Chef to sign and shake his head here. The scene zooms away from Chris protecting his chelate truffles from the mutant boar reacting in rage that someone is not sharing. The scene goes dark with Chris continuing to panic and scream the entire time when dealing with such a boar, literally.
MEANWHILE
IN A DISTANT AREA
In a distant jungle area, there were a lot of squawking birds heard and flapping around. But we zoom in because something was moving around in the area. At first it might appear to be some animal or beast on the move. But when it came into the light, it was revealed to be human, and two of them. And both of them appeared to be females…
The first was an older mature tan skin woman between mid 30s and 40s, has long curl up blonde hair and black eyes, plus light tan pink lipstick. She wears tan white and yellow lining style pants and long sleeve shirt with waist pockets, and an open zipper around the neck collar area. She also wears tan yellow high-heel shoes, light blue wrist rings and light blue diamond style earrings.
The second was a young tan skin girl. Has long brown hair and black eyes, plus dark tan pink lipstick. She wears a tan white skirt, and a tan yellow sleeveless shirt with a brown belt which had a light tan blue button belt. She also wears dark purple heel boots up to the knees with yellow button straps, and yellow wrist rings.
They are known as Kelly and Taylor, another Total Drama Contestants, the pair are the 'The Mom & Daughter' from The Ridonculous Race series. Kelly's a rich trophy wife who focuses on her looks and desperately clinging to her youth with cool clothes, cool 'jams', and being a 'cool mom'. Now as for Taylor, coming from a wealthy family, she was pampered at a young age by parents who showered her with everything money could buy. As a result, she is used to getting whatever she wants. Because of this, Taylor became an ungrateful and rude daughter who often disrespects her mother, Kelly. Though Kelly means well, her parenting has caused her daughter, Taylor, to be spoiled rotten and become ungrateful towards her. Kelly's sweet nature; however, prevented her from standing up to her daughter and instead be extremely patient with her. When other people question Kelly's parenting style, Kelly tends to lash out, believing she's a good mother. Taylor has a soft spot for her father, as he showers her with gifts and she believes they have plenty in common, such as the both of them having a dislike for avocados. Taylor has won many trophies and medals from various competitions and beauty pageants and thinks that she is skillful in everything she does. She believes in her prowess so much that she blames any and all faults to her mother whenever they face difficulty in the Race. In reality, however, Taylor's poor in almost every physical aspect, and revealed that all of her awards were given to her by her father, who bought a trophy store, while her beauty pageants were faked. Kelly eventually realizes the error of her ways and finally puts her daughter in her place. Kelly even told the truth about her daughter's winnings, Taylor was devastate by the truth. Then after the mother gave the daughter a deserved punishment, Taylor slowly begins to see the error of her ways and warms up to her mother. So what Kelly lacks in stamina as far as running is involved, she is shown to have a surprising amount of upper body strength, to which even Taylor was impressed by.
"Ugh, mom…do you know where we are exactly?" Taylor yelped in disgust before complaining to her mom.
"Well Taylor I don't know?" Kelly replied puzzled from looking around in such unfamiliar scenery. "Last thing I remember we were on a tropical vacation with your father before a business associate of his came by and needed assistance with other business groups and stock markets." The woman explain the matter of what was the last thing they remember.
"Oh yeah, then this other guy said he had some papers he wanted dad to sign? Taylor rolled her eyes from remembering that event and what happen next. " I was bored so I let you handle them." She was inspecting her nails out of boredom after letting her mother handle something she care little about.
"Yes, and then after signing, we suddenly began to feel sleepy?" Kelly tap her chin from feeling puzzled and confused what happen before falling asleep. "And next thing you know, we are here?" The rich woman was still uncertain how they arrived here in the first place.
"Is this like that race game thing? I thought we were done with that?" Taylor ponders if this whole thing relates to them partaking in an around the world race game.
"Yes I thought so to, we both agreed that though the prize money was a million dollars, we were already rich enough that it was just pocket change." Kelly stated that they both agreed on knowing that during the mid point of the race, they didn't like much of the challenges and being rich, why get a small amount of a million.
"The worse thing was those challenges. Ugh, I can still remember how awful they were?" Taylor felt disturb by such challenges that no sane person would ever do.
"Ahaha….well clearly I handled things a lot more difficult….and disturbing when I think about it?" Kelly lightly laughs off from having endured the worse parts back then: most of it was brush onto her by her daughter.
"So back to the question at hand? How did we get here? And is daddy gonna call us?" Taylor asked with a little attitude about leaving this place anytime soon.
"Oh sweetie, knowing your father, it'll be another business that could go from a week, a month, to almost half a year. I wouldn't be surprise if it's the latter of what had him leave during our vacation." Kelly lightly stated on knowing how such issues go about with the rich, especially the males and what they do to maintain the coming of more cash.
"Well, let's just call someone and have them pick us up. This place does not look like it'll be good for my skin?" Taylor remotely stated before pulling out some phone to dial the help button: only to receive an error sound. "What! No service? Ugh, typical low range areas?" She yelps and groans to complain how a girl can't get any cell service when she needs it.
"I guess we're just going to have to keep moving." Kelly stated from checking her phone and got the same reply: seems they gotta do this the old fashion way.
"Mom, you can't be serious?" Taylor raise an eyebrow in not one to find that kind of suggestion even remotely funny.
"Oh honey., you forget…we handled that race halfway, so now all we need to do is fine civilization. And then we can go back to our vacation." Kelly smiled to try to be positive about what they need to focus on: find civilization to help them get back.
"Alright, so…where to?" Taylor rolled her eyes to cross her arms and awaited where they need to go.
"Um, well…I'm not sure?" Kelly felt a bit uncertain cause no matter where they look, the area seems hardly touch by mankind. Oh I know, let's try finding a place that's taller." She happily clap her hands to suggest what they do.
"What! We need to do climbing?" Taylor yelps in shock that they gotta be climbing up things.
"Honey, we will have a good view of where to go. And if we find civilization, then we can have a spa day." Kelly brushed off that if they get a better view, it'll speed up their search much faster and get out of this situation.
"Ugh, fine…let's hope there's a spa waiting when we find it." Taylor groans to complain in defeat: she's hoping there will be a spa when they get out of this.
The mother and daughter continued to follow whatever path they could see through the thick jungle. After a tiring motion, they reach a mountain side which seems like one can do a little rock climbing.
"We nearly there?" Taylor moans to complain about how much they have left to travel.
"Now sweetie, I know your physical aspects are a little poor, but this is sure to help you." Kelly smiled to cheer the girl up to look at the positive
"Whatever…" Taylor rolled her eyes to look at the ground. "Hmm? What's this?" That's when the girl spotted something lying nearby.
"You say something honey?" Kelly asked what the girl may have said as she was not listening.
"Ugh, no! Thought I saw something, my mistake?" Taylor exclaim from bending down to pick something up secretly.
"Okay, well give me a moment to get up here and I should have a perfect view…" Kelly exclaim as she tried to find some climbable walk path up the mountain to help them find a way out of being lost.
"You do that…" Taylor replied to allow her mother to do her thing. "As for this little thing, I wonder what's in it?" What Taylor picked up, was a familiar Mutagen Cell Capsule only it had a purple theme color which lay hidden behind the bushes. "? Press to inject? Ah nuts, it must be some kind of flu shot, I don't need this…" Taylor was confused but also felt like this was not something to drink.
"Taylor! I think I see smoke ahead!" Kelly called out from having seen what can give the two hope.
"Really!? Where? Let's…" Taylor was so excited, she backed away to look up at where he mother was until… "CRACK!/GOOOAAaaaaahhhh!?" The girl yelps as she fell through a weaken dug ground that collapsed when Taylor and the capsule fell and disappeared.
"Hmm…Taylor!?" Kelly turns down to only see, her daughter not present. "Honey, where did you go?" Kelly slowly climbed down to look around for Taylor. "Sweetie, this isn't funny now? Taylor?!" She was starting to get worried, this seem…serious. "TAAAAAYLOOOOOR!?" Kelly yelled out at the top of her voice, hoping for a response.
But as the camera zooms away, only Kelly's echoes repeated a distance. The scene fads out from here with another mystery occurring…
SOMETIME LATER
AN UNDERGROUND LAKE SPRING
The scene changes to show a strange cavern with a well structured spring of water. We soon see a cell capsule, but it appears the needle was left out as if…it was used. The contents was poured out into some tiny puddle far from the spring. And inside the small puddle of water, a body was moving while trying to regain consciousness.
"Ugh….what happen to me?" Taylor was heard as her feet were moving in the puddle. "Oh right, I step back behind some bush and…Where did I end up in?" The girl was trying to regain her senses before another question popped in the mind.
Slowly Taylor stood up, but it was very dark inside the cavern. Only some illuminated plants on the ceiling revealed where the girl was. Apparently she fell into some hole that lead Taylor to this area.
"Ugh, great, looks like I lost mom? Now I have to find her?" Taylor groans to complain about her luck is just not so good. "Oh, that water looks clean…Come to think of it, I'm a little thirsty from all that walking." The girl saw the clean spring water, and wanted to maybe quench her thirst.
Taylor approached the spring as she placed her head to take a drink. After taking in a few gulps, she sign with relief that she felt refresh now. But when taking a look at the water reflection, something began to appear…a woman with glowing purple eyes.
"WAAAH!" Taylor screamed from seeing a strange woman in the spring as purple lightning flashed behind her.
But without warning, Taylor had jumped back in terror, but the purple lightning jolted around her as dark purple clouds swirled around. What happened within was that the girl's body was surrounded by fog, wind and lightning. Some of the girls cloths were disintegrated by the voltage before being rearranged by electric particles of dense fog that spread all over. When the purple clouds cleared, Taylor was seen…flying or rather, hovering on a cloud above the spring.
"Wait! Did I…do all that?" Taylor studied what just came out of her: and saw voltage sparks coursing around them. "Woah!?" She yelped from noticing the volts around to wave them off her hands, but that was not the only thing.
Now Taylor slowly was examining herself, and made a discovery. Apparently the woman with glowing eyes in the spring was Taylor's own reflection. When looking at herself closely, Taylor had somehow…changed!? Taylor appeared human, but her skin was blue, her hair became purple in a messy wild style which reach down her backside, magenta color lipstick, and glowing light magenta color eyes. Even more so was that she wore a new outfit like a dark-purple overdress down to the feet with a light-purple lightning style in front and back middle position leading up to the coat collar. It was as if Taylor was transformed to look like some blue skin humanoid with a dark fashion of unknown weather problems.
"Is that…suppose to be me?" Taylor ponders from studying herself before she had slowly descended on the ground. "This is so weird, how did I change? And how can I fly and do this…weird power?" The girl was completely uncertain about what it is that has happened to her.
"Weather Manipulation…" Another voice was heard muttering about this action.
"Hugh!?" Taylor yelped from realizing, she was not alone here. "Mom…is that you? Tell me it is and you caught a weird cold?" Taylor asked from wishing that explains enough to not be worry.
"No, my dear…" A male's voice was heard with some assurance of not being who Taylor hoped for.
"Tap!/Ahh!?" Then Taylor yelped from feeling something sharp and tiny bite her. "Ugh, darn…mosquitos…?" The girl suddenly seem woozy, as she collapsed; and the so-called mosquito, was really a sleeping dart.
That's when something began to enter the illuminated cavern, and presented it's self over the fall Taylor. Some kind of Mutant Beastman appearing in a humanoid size but about 15 feet tall. The features were kind of hybrid: half-Tyrannosaurus, half-Raptor, apparently standing on two feet. Having green skin, red eyeballs with yellow color eyes and black diamond pupils. Wearing dark black-gray battle armor with gold features for knee-pads, chest-plate, a golden belt, and wore a Viking horned helmet hat, plus carrying a long blade sword. It has a 3-fingered hand, but possesses a prosthetic double hook on the left arm. Base on appearance alone, one look at him says he's not the friendly sorts, as he was the one that used the blow dart earlier to knock out Taylor.
"This is General Scales, position our base nearby and send a unit here. And tell them to haul a crystal container." The lizard creature spoke into a communication device and gave out firm orders. "We may have found ourselves a perfect power source to finally get things underway." He exclaimed with a ruthless, evil and cruel manner befitting of a power-hungry tyrant.
Slowly the scene falls of strange shadowy reptile/lizard-like creatures approaching the unconscious Taylor. As where one trouble ends, another new one begins to occur. What is about to await Taylor, will she be alright, and will she ever reunite with her mother? The episode goes dark as all things considered, remain to be seen at another time…

NOTES: About when reaching the desert area, this chapter has some reference from Digimon Adventure 2020 episode 11. Mostly fighting against Yammamon and Skullscorpionmon, and the part where WereGarurumon makes it's introduction.
*Course I made a unique twist of introducing the Sagittarius Mode beforehand, and it'll be played out again for a future event of a character development.
The battle event in VS. Courtney is a similar/reference from Mega Man X2 when X Battles Zero near the finale.
*Courtney's werecat changing into a blue theme color situation, is somewhat like picturing Sonic The Werehog. Both were exposed to some dark matter of energy that turn them into something almost monstrous.
MUTANT BEAST: Some of the Mutant Beast are base around Digimon Characters. But there are some that are different.
**Gigantoads are a reference from Doomed Gigantoad from Final Fantasy series.
**Soul Collectors are base on the Dementors from the Harry Potter universe. Requested by ZNBT.
**General Scales is a character from Star Fox Adventures series.
Sand Yammas is based on Yammamon.
Skull Scorpion 'Assassin Of The Desert' is based on Skullscorpionmon.

*Rodney's New Mutant Form: Picture Cressidus from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Rodney's New Outfit: Pretty much how Cressidus appears. The attacks are a little bit like Cressidus on what he can perform with his fist, and huge body strength. There might be more to reveal in the future.
*Staci's New Mutant Form: Picture Flinch from Xenoblade Chrocniles 2. Staci's New Outfit: Picture the battle gear Flinch comes with. The attacks are a little bit like Flinch on what she can perform using that seems capable plus using a hammer. There might be more to reveal in the future.
*Eva's New Mutant Form: Picture Sheeva from Mortal Kombat. Eva's New Outfit: Picture Sheeva of the Shokan species from Mortal Kombat 11, wearing more armor and carrying a shield. The attacks are the same moves Sheeva from Mortal Kombat can perform. Though, probably not all of the more…'intensive' stuff folks see in Mortal Kombat games. (And hey, if she did try such things, it be off camera)
*Courtney's New Mutant Form: Picture Bastemon/Beastmon from Digimon. Courtney's New Outfit: Pretty much the items Bastemon/Beastmon wore on their person that's jewelry and a chest-top cloth. The attacks are a mixture of Bastemon/Beastmon from Digimon and Matatabi, AKA Two-Tailed Beast from Naruto series.
*Duncan's New Mutant Form: Picture WereGarurumon from Digimon. Duncan's New Outfit: Pretty much the items WereGarurumon X-Antibody wore. The attacks are WereGarurumon, the X-Antibody and the Saggitarius Mode types from Digimon series.
*Taylor's New Mutant Form: Weathervane from Loonatics Unleashed. Taylor's New Outfit: Pretty much the outfit developed by Weathervane from Loonatics Unleashed. The attacks are very much likely the same stuff used by Weathervane of what her powers can do on some occasions.

Few, alright now we managed to get this chapter complete, and boy was it something else. What's happening is just begging us to find out what sort of next stuff is gonna happen next? In the next chapter, Kelly manages to find those that appeared on Total Drama Ridonculous Race series and needs their help to find her missing daughter: Taylor. Those partaking are the Sisters plus Father & Son, but when looking for trouble…it can come to them in the form of…a GIANT DINOSAUR MUTANT BEAST FORTRESS! Yes, a castle on top of a living and deadly creature that's a B Rank, and it's run by reptilian Beastmen lead by General Scales. After this foe has been capturing those to put into their work force, some others may know? But in the end, what maybe a bigger thing to be on the lookout for, is when family members are in danger, that's when the gloves come off! What's gonna happen here?
