Pirates
Willow hung over Zoro's shoulders, completely drowning in her forlorn position. How could this have happened? How could her life have been turned upside down by one single human being? Why couldn't this idiot be like all the other humans she lost in the bog? Or, at the very least, why couldn't he listen to her and not go into that cave?
But nope. This guy was anything but normal.
Before long the stench of the bog mixed in with salt. They had reached the shore. Willow's heart sank. She was going to be leaving her home island for the first time. She had no idea what to expect out there. How many humans were like Zoro? How was the rest of his crew? They had only spoken about them for a few short moments. All she knew so far was Zoro and his captain were idiots. Were the rest of the crew idiots too? Surely they were since they had Zoro and his crazy captain on the ship.
A loud shriek was followed by gurgling sounds. Those were followed by voice calling out what sounded like battle cries.
Willow lifted her head up. Standing before her was Zoro's friends. Or so she assumed. If other humans were on the island she would have heard about it by now.
These humans were facing off against the bog blob. The blob opened its mouth, revealing sharp, sagged teeth. It's slimy body dropping into puddles on the sand before reconnecting with its body.
One of the pirate's arm stretched out with a massive punch. The hit only sunk into the blob's body.
Another with large round shoulders spat fire from his mouth. The fire only vanished upon hitting the slimy creature's body.
The wind shifted, bringing a strong stench of death and decay.
Willow covered her nose. No matter how many times a creature came close to this bog blob they never got use to the disgusting smell that came from it.
Suddenly Zoro shot forward.
Willow spun, head over heels, off his shoulder. Straightening up she remained floating in the air as the man rushed out to help his friends. She watched them toss out more attacks at the blob creature. Nothing worked. And it wouldn't. She knew that. The only choice they had was to run.
Minutes past as the pirates continued their fruitless fight. They were wearing down. Their chests heaving up and down as the bog blob remained unfazed.
"They are all idiots." Willow shook her head then flew over to Zoro. "Listen to me. This creature isn't going to be beaten like this."
"Ah!" The long nosed pirate screamed. "I'm dead! I'm seeing little glowing angels!"
"I'm not an angel! I'm a- never mind!" Willow waved her hand. "Just come with me! You can't defeat this thing."
"Wow! What a little cutie!" The blonde haired pirate spun over to her in a flurry of hearts.
The skeleton laughed. "I think she might be right. None of our attacks have even made a scratch on this thing. We'll die if we stay here. Though I'm already dead."
"Luffy?" Zoro turned to the one wearing a red open chested shirt and a straw hat.
Luffy glared at the blob, his chest heaving as sweat ran down his face. "Fine. Let's run for now."
