After detention was over, he ran into Ron on the way back up. It was his time to serve Snape's orders. "Hey Harry, what you got there?"

"Oh, got these books from Professor Snape."

"Gross," Ron thought, not a fan of reading, "well I will see you after I am done with my detention. That is if I survive it," Harry snorts at that as he goes back up the spiral stairs. Excited to read these, as he hurried to the castle, not waiting for the stairs to move as he tries not to fall through them.

Making it to the dorms, he took his shoes off before sitting on his bed, placing the books on the nightstand. Picking one up, examining the jacket. 'It is old and rusted.' He made sure to be careful with that one. Looking at the title, 'Rare Ingredients,' Harry opened the first page,

A few of them are in Hogsmeade, but expensive. Being rare to get in that town. Harry wondered if Snape had some of those ingredients. Wanting to ask tomorrow. He turned to the next page, letting something slip and fall on the wooden floor. Picking it up, he realized it was a picture flipped on that back side. Turning it over, Harry was shocked to see two kids. One had orange hair and the other raven. They were sitting in an open field of wildflowers. He guessed the boy was Severus as a kid, tracing his finger over his figure. Flipping it over, he saw names written. Lily and Severus. 'This was my mom?' he looked over at the photo, sadness washed over him. He looked over at Snape's face, he seemed happy with her.

Harry wanted to keep this but knows he must return it to the rightful owner. For the time being, he put aside on his nightstand to deal with tomorrow. Heading to the bathroom to get ready for bed.

The sun bleeds through the red curtains, making Harry open one of his eyes, checking the clock to see it close to breakfast time. Getting up slowly, telling Ron to get up. Before grabbing the picture and headed to the bathroom to get ready.

Ron and Harry met up with Hermione next to the Great hall's doors. "Hey Hermione, how was your detention?" Harry wondered, giving her a small smile.

"It was alright, I had clean cauldrons."

Inside the great halls, Harry peered over at the staff table. Snape was there, talking with Professor Quill. Remembering the picture, he will give it to him after class, patting it in his pocket. Sitting next to the twins, "Well did you, do it?" he wondered,

They shook their heads, "We want to wait till dinner time to do that."

Harry and Ron looked at each other, 'Will this even work?' they both thought. Not to mention if they get caught it could be trouble for their families. Still, he wanted Professor Quill to pay for what he was about to do.

He walks to class early, along with Ron. Wanting to be the first students to come to class today. Knowing they owe Professor Snape that, for not telling the Headmistress. Walking in, the class was empty, taking a seat in the front row. Getting their supplies ready as they waited. More classmates filed in. Surprised that Ron and Harry were the first ones to be here.

Harry smiles, when he heard the back door open, knowing who it is. Watching as Snape walked up to the front, checking his leg. Smiling when he sees only a small limp, 'Healing quite nicely.' Planning on checking on it later. Snape turns to the class, getting ready to begin the lesson. Looking over at Harry's eyes at times, turning back over to the board, writing down the assignments. After being finished, he says a spell, to hand out the graded papers, without having to leave his desk. Walking back over to the board he goes over the questions his students had on their homework.

The class bells chimed, and it was time for Severus to excuse them all, telling them what they need to work on. Harry told Ron to go ahead, he had something to discuss with their teacher. When Ron left, Harry walked over to the front, "Professor?"

"What is it Potter, can you see I am busy?" he was grading papers. Harry spins his chair around to look at him, "what is the meaning of this?"

"Thank you for lending me your books, unfortunately one of them had something precious in it," Snape watches as Harry takes out a picture, holding it up to him. The professor grabs it from him, "you are lucky that I was the one who found it."

Snape looked over at the picture, looking over at Harry, "Have you showed anyone this?" his student shook his head, "keep it that way."

"Of course, Professor, I will not say anything you tell me without your permission."

Snape looked at Lily's childhood face. Harry tries to get his attention, but he was to lost in his thoughts. He tapped him on the shoulder, startling the poor man, "Professor?" he called the third time.

"Sorry, I was just…"

"I know miss her. I do too," Harry watches Snape's eyes, having a hidden trace of something. His teacher looked away, "anyways I just wanted to return it to you," he was about to walk away, when the Potion Master stops him, handing him the picture, "What?"

"If you promise to not tell, you can keep this, I got plenty more of them," Harry gapped at him, "it is your mother when she was a child after all," he moved back over to his desk.

Harry looked down at it, "Thank you…sir," he was touched by this, 'Is it really alright for me to keep this?' putting it back in his pocket.

He remembered something else, looking over at Snape, "How has your leg been sir?" his teacher looked up, watching him walk over, "been awhile since I checked last," bending down, Severus turned to him.

"Still have difficulty walking, but it is getting better," Potter smiled at this, as he rolls up the pant leg, seeing that his professor kept it clean and bandaged. Removing the bandage, looking at the progress. Sure enough; it was healing nicely.
