Harry could not believe what came out of his teacher's mouth as he waited for Snape to tell Ron, not to come to detention tonight. He wanted Potter to stay with him and talk more. 'Perhaps I got through to him?' looking over at the clock, 'How long does it take him to tell Ron not to come?' getting impatient. Tapping his fingers on the leather. Looking at his desk, wanting to rummage through his stuff, but did not want to get caught and lose his trust. It is better to ask permission before he did something like that.

The office door opens, Harry's eyes shot up, Snape closed the door behind him, leaning against, 'Why did I ask him to stay?' feeling embarrassed about that. Not just that, but also showing behind his mask, the one that he promised himself to lock away. He looks over at Harry, who was waiting for him, sitting there, eyes on his black orbs.

"Potter when you look at me, what do you see?"

Harry was taken back by that, 'Why is he asking that? Could it be a test,' his eyes went to his shoes, to his head, checking his form out, to his black hair, then to his eyes. The Golden Boy gave him a hint, to remove his sleeve that hit his deepest, darkest secret. Snape nodded, doing as he says. Harry looked at it, getting up, moving towards him, "I see a man who is lonely, sad, has a dark past," he peered over at the mark, "but on the inside, I see something else," Harry smiled over at him, "I see warmth, someone who wants love, but does not how to love someone back. Also going with scared to love someone," Snape gapped at him, "How did I do so far sir?" 'Did I past his test?'

Severus walks over to his desk, sitting in his chair, "Quite correct Potter," Harry was pleased at that, but at the same time felt bad for his teacher.

He stood up from the sofa, walking over to the desk, "How about ones the foolishness of Professor Quill is over, I can help with this?" he extended his hand towards him, "probably not this year. It is my mother who gave you this heartache, so as her son, I feel it is my responsibility to help you find a new love."

Snape gapped at him, not knowing on what to say. Taking his hand, shaking it, "Deal Potter, next year you can help me find someone new to love," he sneered at him, which to a Snape is near to a smile. Harry was happy with that. It was a promise.

Ron was in the living room with Hermione, as Harry walked in, "Hey Harry, where have you been?" Ron wondered.

Harry thought of what to say, knowing he needed to say something, "I asked for extension on my detention with Snape tonight."

"Oh, so that is why he told me not to come?" Ron was less confused now, running up to Harry, giving him a quick hug, "Thank you, I didn't have to be with that awful man then," he grinned at him, before sitting back with Hermione. Harry winced at the word 'Awful.'

Laying in bed, looking up at the ceiling, he thought about the deal he made. 'Second year will be less troubling then this year.' Good thing he promised to help ones this year is over. Now is the time to protect Hogwarts. Needing to know what Professor Quill is after. 'What does he want the stone for?' Harry and his friends are going to figure it out somehow.

Sorry for the short page, but this it, before the Christmas scene happens, library and the Forbidden Forest.
