PART 1

STAR WARS

THE BAD BATCH

"NOBODY"

(The Havoc Marauder is flying through hyperspace. Onboard, Clone Force 99 and Omega are gathered around the computer onboard their ship, reading up on the information for their newest mission. The droid AZI is still deactivated, as the crew of the Havoc Marauder haven't been able to get a power source for him yet.)

HUNTER: From what Cid told us, the town that's asking for assistance is on Dantooine.

OMEGA: Dantooine? What is that planet like?

TECH: Dantooine is located in the Raioballo sector, near the Sinsang and Angor systems. It's terrain mostly consists of grassy plains, hills, rivers, and it's climate is mostly mild and dry. It's inhabitants are mostly farmers and townspeople who live simple and cautious.

WRECKER: (confused) What?

ECHO: (Lets out a small sigh) It's a planet with a lot of farmland and dry weather, and the people who live there are farmers.

WRECKER: Oh! Why didn't you just say that, Tech?

TECH: Do you really want me to go over about our genetic engineering again, Wrecker?

WRECKER: (Somewhat annoyed) Never mind.

(Omega lets out a small and quiet laugh at the interaction between Wrecker and Tech, while Hunter gives a small smile at her. He then goes back to being serious, and telling about the mission.)

HUNTER: We're to land at Dantoo Town, in Docking Bay One, where we'll meet with a man named Rhen Zhe. He'll tell us more about what we'll be dealing with.

ECHO: Did Cid tell what he'll look like?

HUNTER: She said he's a Zabrak, and that he's bald, with orange and black colored skin, and several small horns on his head.

WRECKER: (Chuckles) A horn-head, huh?

OMEGA: (Confused) Horn-head?

HUNTER: (Lets out a small sigh) Keep that to yourself, Wrecker; we don't want to insult anyone who wants to be an ally.

WRECKER: Hey, it just means I like them!

(The Havoc Marauder comes upon Dantooine, where it flies into the planet. The ship flies over the land, which is made up of plains and fields of grass and crops, and the sky is blue and clear. It then goes over a large town and lowers down into one of the landing bays. In there, Rhen Zhe is waiting for them. He is a Zabrak: Bald, with orange and black colored skin, and several small horns on his head. He's dressed in a tan hooded coat, grey tunic with a black belt, black pants, and brown boots.

The doors to the Havoc Marauder open, and Hunter, Echo, Tech, Omega, and Wrecker come out of the ship. Clone Force 99 now has their helmets on, and their gear with them. Rhen Zhe approaches them from the shadows.)

RHEN ZHE: You guys are the help that Cid sent out?

HUNTER: Yes sir, and you must be Rhen Zhe.

RHEN ZHE: That I am. I'd ask for introductions to all of you, but we don't have time. Here's the problem: Our town is being overrun by Imperial troopers. They came in, set up their own base, and are now stripping us of our weapons, which we can't fight them without. We don't really have a whole lot, but most of us were able to pitch in and contribute some credits to pay you.

(Rhen Zhe holds up a large satchel, and Hunter motions for Wrecker to take it. Hunter takes it and opens it, to which Tech looks in it.)

RHEN ZHE: You can also salvage any supplies from the Imperial base, once you throw them out of our town.

TECH: There isn't much credits in the satchel, but there's enough for us to all survive off.

HUNTER: Okay, we'll do it.

RHEN ZHE: (Taking notice of Omega) Uh, are you sure you want to bring the kid along? I mean, it's probably gonna get really violent, and kids usually end up being a liability.

HUNTER: She can handle herself, and we need her.

RHEN ZHE: Okay, whatever you say; it's not my place to question how you do things. Follow me…

(Rhen Zhe begins leaving Docking Bay One, with Clone Force 99 and Omega following him. Omega is not offended, but rather confused by what Rhen Zhe was saying.)

OMEGA: (To Echo) Why did he ask Hunter about me like that?

ECHO: (To Omega) Most people don't like children in battles; it gets ugly when a child is involved.

OMEGA: But you know that I'm not an ordinary kid.

ECHO: We all know that, but he doesn't know that.

(Clone Force 99 and Omega continue to follow Rhen Zhe out of the docking bay. The scene then changes to Rhen Zhe's town. The town's build is similar to that of Mos Eisley, and there is an Imperial base in the middle of the town. Outside the gate of the Imperial base, three stormtroopers are busy loading the townspeople's weapons into storage crates. Two more stormtroopers, plus a stormtrooper with an orange and black pauldron, a captain, stand guard with standard blaster rifles.)

STORMTROOPER CAPTAIN: Okay, after we are done loading up these weapons, we'll check the southern part of town.

STORMTROOPER #1: (While loading weapons) Hey, instead of just flapping your lips, how about you three give us a hand?

STORMTROOPER WITH BLASTER RIFLE #1: Because we were put in charge of watching over you guys, not helping you move the weapons. The boss made it clear that we are to watch and observe, not to help.

STORMTROOPER #2: Yeah, because if you help us out, chances are that the weapons will get destroyed like last time.

STORMTROOPER WITH BLASTER RIFLE #1: (Annoyed) Hey, that was an isolated incident.

STORMTROOPER #2: (Sarcastic) Yeah, 'isolated' as in you got bored and decided to shoot at the womp rats. Next thing you know, the weapons get sent all the way into orbit.

STORMTROOPER WITH BLASTER RIFLE #1: (More Annoyed) Very funny. Get back to work or you're going to be the one who gets sent into-

(Stormtrooper #3 lets out a yell, which causes the other stormtroopers to all jump, and look at Stormtrooper #3, who's moved back in shock.)

STORMTROOPER #3: (Surprised) There's a dead body back here!

STORMTROOPER WITH BLASTER RIFLE #2: (Quietly to Stormtrooper with blaster rifle #1) Rookie?

STORMTROOPER WITH BLASTER RIFLE #1: (Quietly to Stormtrooper with blaster rifle #2): Rookie.

STORMTROOPER CAPTAIN: (Confused) What?

(The Stormtrooper Captain comes over, and sees the 'dead body'. The 'dead body' sits up, revealing to be very much alive. The person is a human male in his mid twenties, with wavy brown hair, fair skin, and bright blue eyes. His clothes consist of a white long-sleeved tunic, white fingerless gloves, grey pants, and black boots. The once-sleeping stranger sits up and yawns, much to the confusion of the stormtroopers.)

STORMTROOPER CAPTAIN: Where'd he come from?

(The other stormtroopers shrug questionably, as the stranger gets to his feet and brushes himself off.)

STORMTROOPER CAPTAIN: (Rough tone) What were you doing there?

STRANGER: (Comical tone) Building a landspeeder. I have all the parts here, now what I need to do is put them together.

STORMTROOPER CAPTAIN: (Rough tone) You were sleeping!

STRANGER: (Comical tone) Really? I was sleeping? I was lying on the ground and you thought I was sleeping? You've got the mind of the true scholar, my friend. Now if you excuse me, I'll be heading on my way.

STORMTROOPER CAPTAIN: (Rough tone) Hold it! You were doing a suspicious activity, therefore you are subjected to be interrogated and questioned by our Imperial officials!

STRANGER: (Comical tone) If I come with you guys, will you put me in an isolation cell with a bed? I wanna get some sleep.

STORMTROOPER WITH BLASTER RIFLE #2: (Calm tone) Hold on a second, Captain; he's just a regular civilian, and he was just sleeping, so there's really no need to have him thrown in prison.

STORMTROOPER CAPTAIN: (Annoyed tone) Ugh… Alright, you can move along. But don't let us catch you around here again, or you'll be in big trouble.

STRANGER: So, I'm free to go, huh? Well, would you arrest me if I showed you this?

(The Stranger pulls a lightsaber from off his belt; the handle is colored silver and black, but is wrapped around in brown tape, save for the button that activates the lightsaber. He then activates the lightsaber, revealing a white colored blade, much to the shock of the stormtroopers!)

STORMTROOPER CAPTAIN: (Shocked) He's a Jedi!

(The Stranger deactivates his lightsaber.)

STRANGER: Yeah, I am. Now, arrest me, and take me to your detention cell.

STORMTROOPER CAPTAIN: Shoot him; there's a reward for killing Jedi!

STRANGER: (Somewhat annoyed) You gotta be kidding me…

(The three stormtroopers are about to open fire on the stranger, but he quickly activates his lightsaber and cuts the front of their guns, rendering them useless. He then deactivates his lightsaber, and puts it to his side.)

STRANGER: I bet your superiors would be very happy if you brought in a live Jedi; maybe you'd even get a promotion. So, take me captive, and bring me to a detention cell.

(The stormtroopers look at each other uneasily, before the stormtrooper captain motions for two of the stormtroopers to come forward. The Stranger holds up his hands in surrender, as one of the stormtroopers takes his lightsaber from him, and the other forces his hands behind his back.)

STORMTROOPER CAPTAIN: No tricks now.

STRANGER: Please, wouldn't think of it. You might wanna get your restraining cuffs out, just so I don't try anything.

STORMTROOPER CAPTAIN: Good idea. Trooper, get your restraining cuffs.

(Stormtrooper #3 pulls out his restraining cuffs, and puts them on the Stranger's wrists. After making sure he can't break free, the Stormtroopers begin taking the Stranger into the Imperial base. For some odd reason, the Stranger, despite being a Jedi, doesn't fight or try to break free, but instead continues along with them, through the gates and into the Imperial base. The scene then changes, and Clone Force 99, along with Omega, are shown riding on a transport that's being driven by Rhen Zhe. Hunter is up in front with Rhen Zhe, while the other ride along in the back. They are hovering down a dirt road at a rapid pace.)

RHEN ZHE: I trust that you've heard of the Stormtroopers, correct?

HUNTER: We've encountered them before. Why?

RHEN ZHE: Because they're being used instead of regular clones, which threw us all off. You see, these Stormtroopers aren't clones, but they're people. People who signed up to terrorize and attack innocent settlements. I mean, who does that?

HUNTER: That's what you get when an empire takes control.

RHEN ZHE: Yeah. Either way, they're being ordered around by a young Imperial officer, and this guy's really cruel. His uncle's has a high position in the Imperial Senate, so they all have to obey him. To make matters worse, he's extremely abusive with his power. If you guys end up killing him, we won't mind, and we'll all say it was an accident. I'm pretty sure the other Imperials will say the same as well.

HUNTER: We don't kill, no matter how bad the person may be. You keep driving, Rhen Zhe, while I climb in the back and discuss our plan.

RHEN ZHE: Yes sir.

(Hunter climbs out of his seat and into the back of the transport. The transport starts to go through a canyon, where two scout troopers are positioned at the top. One presses a button on the side of his helmet, and we see first person in his helmet. It zooms in on the transport, and see Rhen Zhe, along with Clone Force 99 and Omega. The scene then switches back to the scout trooper.)

SCOUT TROOPER #1: That zabrak farmer's coming back, and it looks like he's bringing friends.

SCOUT TROOPER #2: Who?

SCOUT TROOPER #1: It's Clone Force 99.

SCOUT TROOPER #2: Is the target with them?

SCOUT TROOPER #1: The girl? Yeah, she's with them.

SCOUT TROOPER# 2: Good. I'll radio to headquarters, and ask them to send out two battalions; they'll meet them at the end of the canyon.

SCOUT TROOPER #1: (Confused) Why that many? There's only six of them.

SCOUT TROOPER #2: Back in the days of the Republic, their success rate for missions was 100%. We'll need all the firepower we can spare if we're going to capture them. Now keep an eye on them…

(Scout trooper #2 goes back to watching, while Scout trooper #1 begins radioing in for support. Clone Force 99 starts to go deeper into the canyon, knowing little about the trouble they're going to encounter…)
