Combusken's Fire Spin continued to head toward May. May gasped. "Oh no, May!" cried Max. "Quick, dodge it!" cried Kelly. "Watch out!" cried Ash. Fifi continued to hide her face in her tail. Combusken stood in front of May. "Peck, Combusken!" said May. "Busken!" said Combusken. Combusken used the said attack to peck at the flames, dispelling them. "Alright!" said Ash. "Pika!" said Pikachu. "Le sigh," said Fifi with relief. "Great idea," said Kelly. "Don't stop! Use your Fire Spin to gather all those flames!" said May. Combusken began spinning around again, drawing in the loose flames and turning them into a fireball.

"How did she pull that off? May has Combusken's Fire Spin under control. And it looks like she's turned a bad situation into her advantage!" said Vivian. "May has shown both creativity and courage as she finds the beauty in danger," said Joy. "Remarkable!" said Mr. Sukizo. "I'm not sure it was intentional. But the results were certainly dramatic," said Mr. Contesta. "That was awesome!" said Max. "Yeah. I thought she was a goner for sure," said Brock. "Me too," said Verity. "Me three," said Sorrel. "Nice sahve," said Pepé. "What a way to turn the situation around," said Lorelei. "Great recovery, May!" said Kelly. "Grumpig," said Grumpig. "Way to go!" said Ash. "Pika pika!" said Pikachu. "Swellow," said Swellow. "Ooh la la," said Fifi. "Now throw the fireball and hit it with Sky Uppercut!" said May. "Combusken!" cried Combusken as it hurled the fireball high into the air. It jumped after it, with its right claws glowing light blue. The Fire & Fighting Pokémon hit the fireball, dispelling it. It then gracefully landed on its feet, back on the stage. "You did it!" said May. "Com," said Combusken.

Everybody began to clap and cheer for May's performance. "What a wonderful contest opening as May and Combusken turn out a beautiful performance! Now let's see what the judges have to say," said Vivian. Nurse Joy gave May 8.0 points. Mr. Sukizo's rating was 8.5. The points that Mr. Contesta gave was 7.1. The total was 23.6 points. "23.6. Now, Contesta, you gave her worse marks than the others did. Will you tell us your reasons?" asked Vivian. "Losing control over Fire Spin showed a disturbing lack of concentration and teamwork. The performance following it was wonderful. But I still had to take that into account," said Mr. Contesta. May and Combusken were worried. "Com," said Combusken sadly. "Hey, that wasn't your fault, Combusken. You were only trying to give me your best performance. And I bet you'll make it to the second round anyway," said May. "Combus," said Combusken. "23.6. That's a pretty low score," said Max. "Yeah. She might be in trouble if she runs into tough competition," said Brock.

May went back to the waiting area where the other coordinators were. "Wow, May. I thought it was over. But you recovered so well it almost seemed you planned it that way," said Kelly. "Grumpig," said Grumpig. "Well, I owe it all to Combusken. It jumped between me and the Fire Spin when it saw I was in danger. If it was willing to make such a sacrifice for me, I had to get together and come up with something. So that's when I got the idea to use the flames as part of our show," said May. "All I saw is that watching you inspires me to do my best! Right? We'll give them a show like they've never seen before," said Kelly. "Grumpig," said Grumpig.

At Acme Acres, somebody was searching for a meal. His name was Henery Hawk, a brown feathered chicken hawk who was always trying to eat Foghorn Leghorn. "Hmm. There's got to be a chicken for me to eat around here," said Henery. Just then, he saw Fowlmouth, the protégé of Foghorn Leghorn. He was grumbling. "Stupid Shirley. Why did she have to kick me out of the theater?" complained Fowlmouth. "Hey. There's one I can eat," said Henery. He licked his lips as he imagined Fowlmouth as a roast chicken.

Henery made his move by leaping from the bushes and tackling Fowlmouth. "Hey! What gives?!" asked Fowlmouth. "You're mine, dinner!" cried Henery. "Get off of me! I'm not dinner!" cried Fowlmouth. "I'm a chicken hawk and you're what I eat!" said Henery. "I said get off of me!" said Fowlmouth. He then smashed Henery against a wall, which stunned him and caused him to let go. Fowlmouth then made a run for it. "Even though he's smaller than my usual chicken prey, this gonna be tougher than I thought," groaned Henery.

"Swellow, Aerial Ace again!" said Ash. "Swellow!" said Swellow, taking to the sky. It charged toward the target. But it accidentally got caught on the rope tied between two poles. It recoiled and sent Swellow crashing to the ground. Ash, Pikachu and Fifi ran up to the fallen bird. "Swellow, are you okay?" asked Ash. "Pika," said Pikachu. "Swellow!" said Swellow, getting back up. "Calm down. You can't concentrate well if you get all upset," said Ash. "Swell," said Swellow. "I know. Cause that's what everybody keeps trying to tell me in the past," said Ash. "Pika," said Pikachu.

"Let's meet our next contestant, ladies and gentlemen! Her name is Kelly and she hails from right here in Lilycove City!" said Vivian. "I've gaht a feeleeng she's gahnna be good," said Fifi. "Pika," said Pikachu. "Here we go now, Grumpig! Time to show the world what we're made of! Grumpig, let's do it!" said Kelly as she threw Grumpig's Pokéball. The ball opened and Grumpig took the stage. "Grumpig!" said Grumpig. It landed on the stage on its springy tail. It used its tail to propel itself forward before landing on its feet. "Grumpig," said Grumpig. Everybody clapped and cheered. "And Grumpig takes the stage with a creative use of its physical traits!" said Vivian.

"Now it's a block party!" said Kelly as she had some Pokéblock dispensers hurl some green Pokéblocks. "What? Why is she scattering Pokéblocks?" asked Max. "Must be some method to her madness," replied Brock. "Go, Grumpig! Let's get psychic!" said Kelly. "Grumpig!" said Grumpig as its eyes and head pearls glowed blue. The Pokéblocks started to levitate due to the Psychic attack. "Grumpig is using Psychic to hold the Pokéblock in midair," said Vivian. Grumpig then had the Pokéblocks float higher and form a circle. "Now it's spinning the block in formation. It's showing what a Manipulate Pokémon can do," said Vivian. May was watching on the monitor. "Whoa. That's pretty incredible," said May.

"Now, juggle them Grumpig!" said Kelly. Grumpig began to juggle the Pokéblock while still having a psychic hold on them. "Everybody clap your hands. Go, go, go, go!" said Kelly. Everybody started to clap their hands, chanting "go, go, go, go." "What a crowd pleasing performance! Everybody here, even the judges are clapping along with Kelly and her Grumpig's aerial display!" said Vivian. "Never seen anything like this," said Max. "Yeah. Getting the whole crowd into the act was a great plan," said Brock. Ash, Pikachu, Fifi and Swellow were watching too. "Wow. I was right. She really is good," said Ash. "Pika pika," said Pikachu.

"Alright Grumpig, finish this off with Bounce!" said Kelly. "Grumpig!" said Grumpig as it used its curly tail to spring itself into the air. It then used its psychic abilities to guide the Pokéblocks into its mouth and devoured them. "Well, that's it folks," said Grumpig. "Grumpig," said Grumpig. Everybody began to clap and cheer for Kelly and her Grumpig. "Bravo. Great job, Kelly," said May. "Kelly and her Grumpig managed to pull a whole audience into her act. Impressive! Now, let's see what the judges thought," said Vivian. Nurse Joy gave Kelly 9.2 points. Mr. Sukizo rated the performance with 9.5 points. Mr. Contesta's rating was 9.0. The grand total of points was 27.7. "27.7! Kelly and Grumpig, clear crowd favorites of this early stage in the contest leaped into first place!" said Vivian. "Yeah! You were really great!" said Kelly. "By giving Kelly a score like that, the judges must be sending a message that putting on a really good show is just as important as skill and technique," said Brock. "Hopefully May will make it into the second round and she can get the crowd into it the same way," said Max.

Kelly went back into the waiting area. "That was such an awesome performance, Kelly. You and your Grumpig really made it look so easy," said May. "Well that's a relief cause I know it wasn't easy at all. Grumpig and I worked on that for months to get that down," said Kelly. "Watching a performance like that has made me even more determined! I just have to make it into the second round! I just have to, have to, have to!" said May.

Swellow continued to try to master Aerial Ace. "Okay, Swellow! Now bring it in low!" said Ash. The bird Pokémon began to fly low to the ground. He managed to fly under the rope. "That's it! Good job!" said Ash. "Pika!" said Pikachu. "Swellow? Swellow!" said Swellow. But it wasn't looking where it was going. He crashed into a tree. He fell to the ground with dizzy eyes. Ash, Pikachu and Fifi ran up to Swellow. "Swellow, are you hurt?" asked Ash. "Pikachu," said Pikachu. "Swellow," groaned Swellow. Fifi noticed a boo boo on Swellow's head. "Oh no. You gaht a boo boo. I know just how to mahke eet bettair," said Fifi. The purple skunkette then kissed Swellow's boo boo. Swellow just blushed due to getting kissed by a girl. "Well I'm really proud of you, Swellow. You got the low flying part down great. So now, we just got to work on hitting that bullseye. And remember what Ralph said. Keep on trying til you succeed!" said Ash. "Pika Pika," said Pikachu. Swellow got back up, more determined than ever. "Swellow!" said Swellow.

Back at Acme Acres, Fowlmouth told Foghorn Leghorn about his encounter with Henery. "Oh, so you encountered that boy, did you?" asked Foghorn. "Yeah. Things are bad enough that I was kicked out of the theater by Shirley. And now this chicken hawk wants to eat me. How do I shake him off?" asked Fowlmouth. "Let me tell you what I usually do, son. I usually try to trick him into thinking that I'm a different animal and that somebody else is a chicken. I usually trick him into trying to eat Barnyard Dawg or even Sylvester. So try to do the same tactics that I did," said Foghorn. Fowlmouth thought for a moment until he got an idea. "I know just who to trick him into trying to eat," said Fowlmouth.

Fowlmouth was walking through the neighborhood when Henery Hawk reappeared. "Got you now!" said Henery. "Wait! Hold on! Hold on! I'm no chicken," said Fowlmouth. "You're not?" asked Henery. "No. I am a seagull who got infected with a condition that caused me to look like one. I'm still trying to turn myself back into my true form. I do know somebody who is a chicken. Come with me and I'll show you," said Fowlmouth. He began to lead Henery to where he was going to take him to.

Very soon, all the coordinators did their turns. Their scores varied. "And now with the first round over, let's look at our winning coordinators. The scores are in and here they are. The eight who will go on to the second round," said Vivian. Kelly was in the final round for sure. Max growled anxiously, waiting for May's face to appear on the screen. "Come on, May. Don't worry. You're gonna make it," said Ash. "Pika," said Pikachu. "Six, seven, eight. Here they are, folks," said Vivian. May was the last coordinator whose face appeared on the monitor. "I'm in!" said May excitedly. "So we both go on," said Kelly. May nodded. "Good job," said May. "Now the computer will randomly pair the remaining contestants," said Vivian. The photos of the eight finalists began to get shuffled. "Keep your eyes on the screen, ladies and gentlemen. This is a critical part of the contest," said Vivian. Very soon, the final selection was finalized. "And there are your second matchups," said Vivian. Kelly was up against a female coordinator with green hair and sunglasses. May was up against a male coordinator with brown hair and a purple shirt. "Hey Kelly. I'll see you on the final stage, right?" asked May. "Yeah. That'll be a great battle," said Kelly.

"Swellow!" said Swellow as it fly under the rope once again. But it missed the target. "Missed it," said Ash. "Pika," said Pikachu. "Swellow sure ees hahveeng a hahrd time learneeng Aerial Ahce," said Fifi. She turned to Pikachu. "Wahs zere ahn ahttahck you hahd trouble trying to learn?" asked Fifi. "It was when I was trying to learn Iron Tail in order to fight Gym Leader Roxanne's Rock Pokémon," said Pikachu. "You mean ze sahme Eerahn Tail you used to clahnk moi een ze head?" asked Fifi, getting mad. "Hey! I said I was sorry! Besides, I had to defend myself from your aggressive romantic behavior," said Pikachu.

Before Fifi could say anything, Ralph walked up to the group. "Still having trouble?" asked Ralph. "You could say that again," said Ash. "It would help if you had some sort of a signal," said Ralph. "A signal?" asked Ash. "Right. Something you could yell out to tell your Swellow exactly when to switch from flight mode to attack mode! Of course, timing is critical. So you must pay close attention. But then, you may find the signal may help motivate your Pokémon because it fills both of you in the battlefield together," said Ralph. "Thank you, Ralph. We'll try that," said Ash.

Combusken managed to take out the opponent's Wingull, earning May a win. Kelly's Grumpig defeated her opponent's Raichu. "It has been an amazing series of battles on the second stage, but the semifinalists have finally been selected! Here are the fantastic four who will go onto the next stage," said Vivian. Everybody cheered. May was going to face another female coordinator. Kelly was going up against a male coordinator with brown spiky hair and wore a blue shirt.

Fowlmouth led Henery to outside of the Duff house. "Wait here," said Fowlmouth. And went to the backyard of Elmyra's house. He looked through the window and saw Elmyra herself. He saw that she was trying to get a diaper onto Johnny Pew. "Hold still, my blue kitty. How can I put your diaper on if you won't hold still," said Elmyra. "But I outgrew diapers!" objected Johnny. Good. She's home, thought Fowlmouth. He then saw the power box to the house. He opened the panel and pulled the lever, shutting the power off. "Hey! Who turned out the lights?!" asked Elmyra. Fowlmouth then went into the house. Henery Hawk could hear some random noises including clucking. Fowlmouth then left the house and turned the power back on. "I found your chicken," said Fowlmouth. He led Henery Hawk to the window. The young chicken hawk so that Fowlmouth had dressed Elmyra in a chicken costume and put a fake nest complete with eggs. Elmyra was unaware that she was dressed like a chicken by Fowlmouth. "She looks delicious," said Henery.

Henery then burst into the house and tackled Elmyra. "Hey! What gives?!" cried Elmyra. "Time for a chicken lunch!" said Henery. He began to bite at Elmyra, causing her to yelp in pain. Elmyra ran out of the house, screaming while flailing her arms. "Get him off of me! Get him off me!" cried Elmyra. Fowlmouth snickered at what was happening to Elmyra and how Henery was dumb enough to fall for his lie. "Elmyra's gonna have a hard time shaking him off, especially since I glued the chicken suit onto her," said Fowlmouth.

Elmyra ran around as Henery was biting her. The animal residents of Acme Acres laughed at her as she tried to shake the chicken hawk off of her since they loathed her. "Get off of me!" cried Elmyra as she finally pried Henery Hawk off of her. Henery was sent flying into some cans of black paint. When he hit the cans, black paint spilled all over him, dying his feathers black in an instant. After that, some white paint poured on his back, forming a white stripe. "Yuck!" cried Henery.

Without warning, Henery Hawk felt himself being grabbed by somebody. The next thing he knew, he found himself getting smooshed against a pair of breasts. And those breasts belonged to Bimbette Skunk. She thought Henery Hawk was a boy skunk, as indicated by her red heart eyes. "Why hello there, handsome," said Bimbette. She began to smother Henery with her beautiful bosom. Henery Hawk let out a muffled yelps as Bimbette smothered him. "You're so cute. I'm in need of a skunk hunk to love cause I can't seem to find Johnny Pew anywhere. So you'll do," said Bimbette. She puckered her lips and began to give Henery a big kiss on his lips. Henery's eyes widened as Bimbette kissed him. Now to mention, the pink skunkette was letting off some pink skunk fumes since she was in love. Henery's eyes started to water too as he got a whiff of Bimbette's awful smell. The painted chicken hawk finally broke free of Bimbette's loving grip. "AAAAAAAAUGH! COOTIES!" cried Henery. He then began to make a run for it. Bimbette crossed her arms sulkily. "There are no such thing as cooties," huffed Bimbette. She then began to search for Henery Hawk.

Henery ran as far away from Bimbette Skunk. He panted to catch his breath. He was near a puddle and he saw his reflection. "No wonder that pink skunk was hugging and kissing me. This paint makes me look like a skunk. I got to get it off of me!" cried Henery. He splashed some of the puddle water on his face to get the paint off. But it didn't work. "There's no need to change anything about your appearance," said a voice behind Henery. Henery's eyes widened upon hearing it. And then, a fluffy pink tail wrapped around him. Bimbette Skunk had found him. She lifted Henery up to her using her tail. "Don't try to resist me, my little skunk," said Bimbette. Henery then burst free and ran away from her again. "I'm gonna catch you, my love," said Bimbette as she skipped after Henery.

Back at Lilycove City, May managed to beat her opponent, which earned her place in the final match. Swellow continued to try to master Aerial Ace. "Swellow!" said Swellow as it flew under the rope. "Okay! Attack!" said Ash. But Swellow missed the target. Ash sighed in disappointment. "Pika," said Pikachu. "Don't give up, Ash," said Ralph. "Pika?" asked Pikachu. "Swellow's low altitude flight path and the signal you're giving it to attack are almost perfect. Now it's a matter of time of getting your timing in sync. Then you will have mastered Aerial Ace," said Ralph. "You think so?" asked Ash. He turned to Swellow. "Now Swellow, let's do it again!" said Ash. "Swellow! Swellow!" said Swellow, getting into formation once again. He flew under the rope. "Attack!" said Ash. Swellow charged and he finally managed to hit the target. "Yeah!" said Ash. "Pika!" said Pikachu. "Ooh la la," said Fifi. Ralph nodded. "Swellow, we finally did it," said Ash. "Pikachu," said Pikachu. "Cahngrahts," said Fifi. "Swellow," said Swellow, flying down. "Now that you've hit on the perfect timing, it's vital that you practice the maneuver again and again until it is automatic for you and your Swellow," said Ralph. "Right," said Ash.

Ash turned to Swellow. "Well, you heard it. Aerial Ace again," said Ash. "Swellow," said Swellow as he took to the sky again. "Pika pika!" said Pikachu, pointing to the monitor. "Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting our two finalists!" said Vivian as May and Kelly's faces appeared. "Hey, Kelly and May are both in the finals!" said Ash. "Pika!" said Pikachu. "Le yay!" said Fifi.

Back at Acme Acres, Henery Hawk continued to look for Elmyra, still thinking she was a chicken. "Where could she have gone?" asked Henery. Elmyra had finally saw she was dressed like a chicken and was trying to get out of the costume. But Fowlmouth had glued it on real good. "Come on, stupid costume! Come off!" cried Elmyra as she struggled to pull the fake beak off of her face. Henery then spotted her. "Found you," said Henery. He began to sneak up from behind Elmyra.

Unfortunately, Bimbette was in the area too, looking for Henery, still thinking he was a skunk hunk. "Yoo-hoo! Where are you handsome hubbie? My lips are hungry for some kisses," said Bimbette. She made some kissy noises as a way of flirting, with her lips briefly turning s luscious red. She then spotted Henery from behind. "There you are cutie!" cried Bimbette. She put on bright red lipstick on her lips in preparation for kissing him. Just as Henery was about to seize Elmyra, Bimbette grabbed Henery and forced a kiss on his lips. "Missed me?" asked Bimbette sweetly. She then began to cover Henery's face in red kiss marks. "Help! I'm being assaulted by a mushy, lovey dovey girl!" cried Henery. But nobody heard him. And Elmyra left. The painted chicken hawk then began to hold Bimbette's lips back from kissing him any further. He broke free and dashed off. "Why do the cute ones always run away?" asked Bimbette.

Bimbette Skunk decided to slip into something more comfortable to entice Henery. To go with her red lipstick and purple eyeshadow, she put on a blue dress showing absolute cleavage. She also wore a gold necklace with a blue sapphire, gold bracelets and blue sapphire earrings. "If thus doesn't get him to fall in love with me, I don't know what will," said Bimbette. She then resumed her searched for her so called skunk hunk.

Henery managed to clean off the lipstick marks, but he still couldn't clean off the paint. He decided to lure Elmyra out with a plate of corn kernels. He had also planted a dynamite trap with a fuse that he needed to light. He ran into his hiding place to wait for Elmyra. She heard Elmyra coming into the path with the corn kernels. At that moment, Elmyra's stomach growled. "So . . . hungry," said Elmyra. She saw the plate of corn kernels. "I guess these will hold me til dinner," said Elmyra. She began to take a scoop full of the kernels. Henery lit the fuse. Henery snickered. Just then, he felt somebody tap his shoulder. He turned around and saw Bimbette Skunk. The pink skunkette fluttered her eyelashes at Henery, giggling. Henery screamed and made a run for it. "Oh no you don't!" said Bimbette. She ran after Henery. They both ran to where Elmyra was. KA-BOOM! The dynamite exploded, frying all three of them.

When the smoke subsided, there was a crater in the middle of the road. Henery Hawk, Bimbette Skunk and Elmyra were black as soot. Elmyra's chicken suit was incinerated. She was on the ground, unconscious. Bimbette screamed seeing how her good looks were ruined. "My dress! My hair! My makeup!" cried Bimbette. "My feathers!" cried Henery. His feathers were completely blown off, leaving him naked. Bimbette gasped. "You're not a skunk!" cried Bimbette. "Of course I'm not! I'm a chicken hawk, you dumb broad!" snapped Henery. Bimbette growled at that insult. She then slapped Henery in the face, knocking him down. He had a red hand mark too. "I have never been so insulted! GGGGRRRRRERRRRR!" growled Bimbette. And she walked away, fuming.

At that moment, Elmyra woke up and saw the dazed Henery. "Aaaawwwww. Does birdie have a boo boo?" asked Elmyra. She then grabbed Henery and began to squeeze the life out of him. That was when Henery realized she wasn't a chicken. Elmyra began to take Henery away. "Help! Save me from this stupid girl!" cried Henery. Fowlmouth who had seen everything snickered. "That'll get that chicken hawk out of my hair," said Fowlmouth. He began to walk away. But suddenly, and without warning, SPLAT! A piece of the road that was blown off by the dynamite fell on top of Fowlmouth, squishing him. "Ouch," groaned Fowlmouth.

"This is it. The final round to determine the winner of the Lilycove Coordinator Contest! Here they are on the final stage! May and Kelly!" said Vivian. "It worked out, just like we hoped it would," said Ash as he, Pikachu and Fifi joined their friends in the stands. "Pretty cool, huh?" asked Brock. "So how was your Aerial Ace?" asked Max. "It took a while. But I think we got it down," said Ash. "Good job, Ash," said Lorelei. "Yeah, way to go," said Verity. "Now I'm excited to see a great battle and a victory for May," said Ash. "Ready Kelly? It's down to you and me and I'm giving it all I got," said May. "I'm ready May, but you better get ready for the power of Grumpig's dark pearls," said Kelly. "Let the battle begin!" said Vivian. The five minute timer then began to count down.

"Combusken, come on out!" said May as she threw her starter Pokémon's ball. The ball popped open and Combusken came out. "Combusken!" said the Pokémon. "Go, Grumpig!" said Kelly, throwing the Poké Ball containing said Pokémon. "Grumpig!" said Grumpig. "Iron Tail, Grumpig, now!" said Kelly. Grumpig used its spring tail to spring itself into the air. "Grumpig!" said Grumpig. Its tail then uncurled and metalized. Grumpig swung its Iron Tail attack at Combusken. "Block that!" cried May. Combusken grabbed Grumpig's tail. "Oh! A perfect block on Grumpig's Iron Tail! That cost Kelly some points!" said Vivian. The bar showing Kelly's points decreased.

"That was pretty good, May," said Kelly. "Hit it with Fire Spin now!" said May. "Combusken!" cried Combusken as it fired the said attack from its mouth. "Psychic, Grumpig!" cried Kelly. Grumpig's eyes and pearls began to glow blue. It manipulated the fire into a dragon's head that was heading for Combusken. May gasped. "What is that!" cried Ash. "I never seen it before! It's quite a stunt!" said Brock. "Grumpig used Psychic to turn Fire Spin right back at May!" said Vivian. The fire dragon continued to charge at Combusken. "Sky Uppercut!" said May. "Combusken!" said Combusken. It hit the fire dragon, extinguishing it. "Now Grumpig, use Psychic directly on Combusken, go!" said Kelly. Grumpig's eyes and pearls glowed again. Combusken got caught in its psychic grip and was lifted up.

(End Music)

May gasped. "Combusken!" cried May. May was starting to lose points. "May is losing major points with that attack. "Psychic attack is hitting Combusken directly. And time is quickly running out for May and Combusken!" said Vivian. The timer was now 1:28 minutes and counting down. "Hang in there, May!" said Brock. "Dahn't give up!" said Pepé. "How can she break Combusken loose?!" asked Max. "Scahrebleu!" cried Fifi. "Come on May!" said Verity. "You can still win this!" said Ash. "Grumpig!" said Grumpig as it continued to hold Combusken in its psychic grip. "Good job, Grumpig! Just keep on doing it!" said Kelly. "Any attack I'll use, she'll just turn it back on us with psychic," said May. Then, she got an idea. "Maybe that can help us. Yeah," said May.

"I'm gonna finish you now, May! Now use Bounce attack, Grumpig!" said Kelly. Grumpig used its tail to spring itself at Combusken. Ash and co. gasped. "Oh no!" cried Max. "Combusken isn't able to defend itself at all!" said Sorrel. "It's over if Bounce hits," said Brock. "Combusken, Fire Spin now!" said May. "Nice try, May! Grumpig," said Kelly. "Grumpig!" said Grumpig as it used Psychic again. Combusken struggled to break free. "Psychic will just turn it back again!" said Kelly. "And that's just what I was planning on," said May. "What?!" asked Kelly. "Combusken, aim Fire Spin at the ceiling!" said May. Combusken fired flames from its mouth at the ceiling. "Grumpig!" cried Grumpig. Some of the embers from the flames hit Grumpig. It lost its concentration and Combusken was free from its psychic grip. Kelly gasped.

"What an amazing change in strategy! Combusken is bouncing its Fire Spin off the ceiling and down onto Grumpig!" said Vivian. Kelly was starting to lose more points. "Oh, Grumpig!" cried Kelly. "Too bad, huh?" asked May. "What an awesome comeback!" said Ash. "I knew you'd do it, May!" said Max. "I don't think she knows it yet, but I think she's got this contest won," said Brock. "Huh?" asked everybody else. "You really sink so?" asked Fifi. "Yep. May is now a couple moves ahead of Kelly. Like a good chest game strategy, she knows Kelly wants to use Psychic to directly counter Fire Spin. By aiming at the ceiling, Grumpig can't simply be in the position to do that. All it can do is continue Psychic from the side and pretty soon, the flames are gonna knock it out," said Brock. "What a great strategy," said Ash. "All right. Way to go, May," said Max. "Pika!" said Pikachu.

(End Music)

Then, Grumpig's Psychic attack stopped and both Pokémon began to fall to the floor. "Oh! Grumpig's Psychic has let go! Both Pokémon are crashing to the ground!" said Vivian. "Grumpig!" cried Kelly. "Combusken, help Grumpig now!" said May. "Combusken!" said Combusken as it grabbed Grumpig. Combusken then used its Fire Spin to soften their landing. The timer then reached zero. "Time has run out! What a perfect use of Fire Spin with May and Combusken saving their opponent at the last second!" said Vivian. May had more points than Kelly. "The clear winner: Combusken and May!" said Vivian. The whole crowd cheered. "Alright! Combusken you were great," said May. "Busken!" said Combusken. "You know, a lot of opponents would've taken advantage and attacked Grumpig while it was helpless like that," said Sorrel. "Not May. She wouldn't think about doing that and she won the match anyway," said Verity. "That was a really cool thing to do," said Ash. "Pika Pika," said Pikachu.

"Looking out for your fellow Pokémon is more important than winning a match," said Joy. "Simply remarkable," said Mr. Sukizo. "That's the very spirit we're looking for. Not just in Pokémon contests, but Pokémon world in general," said Mr. Contesta. "There you have it folks. A unanimous decision from our judges," said Vivian.

Very soon, it was time to present May her prize. Ash and co. were on stage too. "Now it is our great pleasure on behalf of the contest committee to present the Lilycove Ribbon to you, May and Combusken, this years winners of the Lilycove City Coordinator Contest. Congratulations," said Vivian. Both May and Combusken were given ribbons. They were both green and blue with spots on the blue parts. Everybody continued to cheer. "Alright!" said May. She laughed as she did a twirl before holding out her ribbon. "Yeah! We won!" said May. "Combusken!" said Combusken.

"That was a great battle," said Brock. "You picked the perfect move," said Max. "And in the nick of time," said Ash. "Pika," said Pikachu. "Eet wahs, how you say, mahgneeficent," said Fifi. "Thanks so much, you guys," said May. "Congratulations. Don't think I'll learn from this and be ready for you the next time we meet up in some contest," said Kelly. "Grum," said Grumpig. "I learned from you too, Kelly. And I'll be using my own custom Pokéblock the next time we battle," said May.

May finds a new friend and rival in the process of winning her third ribbon. More importantly, she finds that there's something new to learn, as she works toward entering the Grand Festival.

Meanwhile, it wasn't long before Henery Hawk was subjugated to Elmyra's abuse. She had dressed the young chicken hawk in a diaper and baby bonnet. She put him next to Furrball and Johnny Pew, who also had diapers and baby bonnets. "So she got you too?" asked Johnny. "I should be out there, hunting chickens! And I'm stuck here, dressed like a baby!" complained Henery. Just at that moment, Sweetie Pie came flying into Elmyra's room. "Hey Elmyra, you should check out the news that's on TV," said Sweetie. She led Elmyra and the others down to the TV room and they saw a newscast of the winner ceremony of the Lilycove Contest was being shown. "What's so interesting about that?" asked Elmyra. "Look who's on stage with the winner," said Sweetie.

Elmyra looked among the crowd and saw Fifi La Fume next to Ash. "It's purple kitty!" cried Elmyra. "Exactly why I showed this news broadcast. Fifi is traveling with Ash and his friends in the Hoenn Region. So if you want to make her pet, you better leave tonight," said Sweetie. Sweetie found herself then getting hugged by Elmyra in a bone crushing hug. "Thank you, pink birdie! I will!" said Elmyra. I'm not really doing this to help Elmyra, I'm only doing this cause I hate Fifi since people consider her more beautiful than me, thought Sweetie. "But you better me with you along some other pets," said Sweetie. "Who do I need to bring?" asked Elmyra. "Your two blue putty tats," said Sweetie, pointing to both Furrball and Johnny Pew. She knew Johnny was really a skunk, but called him a cat in order to keep Elmyra with her stupid mindset. "Since putty tats chase mice, they need to hold off Pikachu long enough for you to snatch Fifi. Also bring your new chicken hawk," said Sweetie. "Why do I have to come?" asked Henery. "Although you're a chicken hawk, they eat rabbits and rodents too, including mice. So if you, Furrball and Johnny gang up on Pikachu, there's no way he's gonna stand a chance," said Sweetie. "Then what are we waiting for, let's go!" said Elmyra. She grabbed Johnny, Henery and Furrball by the tails and began to run, dragging them. "Wait for me!" said Sweetie, flying after them.

Uh-oh. If getting pestered by Team Rocket wasn't bad enough, Ash and his friends will soon have to deal with the animal abusing idiot, Elmyra Duff. And she's dead set on making Fifi La Fume her pet once again! Pikachu and everybody else will have to give it all they got to keep Fifi safe from Elmyra's greedy clutches, next time, on "The Untold Story of Fifi's Vacation"!

Sneak Peek

On the next episode of "The Untold Story of Fifi's Vacation", when Pikachu continues to avoid Fifi, the skunkette turns to a Pokémon Magician named Lily to do some drastic: turn her into a Pikachu like him. Once she's a Pikachu, she has to learn how to battle like one. Especially since Elmyra has now set foot in the Hoenn Region, intending to make Fifi her pet! But even if they succeed that animal abusing idiot, Ash and co. are then challenged by Oscar and Andi, the most powerful battle couple in Hoenn! Will Fifi get the hang of being a Pikachu? Find out, in "Fifi the Pikachu?" on "The Untold Story of Fifi's Vacation"!

I hoped you enjoyed this adaptation of "Lessons in Lilycove". So now you see why I added the scenes with Henery Hawk. Cause now Elmyra is going to stalk Ash and co. to try to kidnap Fifi, and she's bring Henery along Sweetie, Johnny and Furrball. But however, Furrball won't be traveling with Elmyra for long, in a good way. You'll see why. Originally, I was going to make the story of Fifi as a Pikachu just one episode. But then, I decided that this story is took big to be in a single episode. I plan to have it as a three episode arc. The first two, including the next episode are original stories, while the third part will be an adaptation of the Pokémon Advanced Challenge episode, "Judgement Day". So basically, in this timeline, "The Bickerer, the Better" has never happened, considering that this episode got banned just recently. So next episode will be the actual first time that Ash and co. meet Oscar and Andi. They're going to have more Pokémon besides Nidoqueen and Nidoking. Anyway, see you next episode . . .
