"So, my Mom let me have our ski cabin for the whole weekend," I grinned at my girlfriend, Tina Larkin, as I spoke tenderly to her. Our elbows were on the Hub table and we're holding hands. "That means we can spend the weekend up there. Just you and me."
"You have a ski cabin?" Tina asked in awe and wonder. "Wow. You must be really rich."
"I am." I proudly grinned. Better than being poor.
My girlfriend and I hung out at the Hub for a simple date. I didn't like hanging out here at first, but it was growing on me. I still would never eat here though. This place looks like it violated so many health codes.
The work for school was too much for me and my grades was close to failing. Except I did pass one test which did boost them up. If I fail my classes, my parents would be angry and ashamed of me.
I didn't want to become a lawyer anyway. To fail wouldn't bother me that much. Except having no career or no direction to go in life. I really tried to do better, but my classes was very difficult. After the major tests was sort of over with, it made my schedule and life easier. I had more downtime and socialization. During my free time was when I got a girlfriend. We met at a party in University of Wisconsin and hit it off. We related on pleasing our parents even if it made us miserable and dead inside. Also, we're both busy with school, but we somehow managed to hang out and go on dates.
Tina was going to become a doctor to please her parents. She actually wanted to be a wildlife biologist instead.
Nothing much happened between Laurie and I after Christmas. She just used me for sex basically and that was the last contact we had. I've quickly learned to not get my hopes up with her that we could restart a relationship again.
I've officially moved on from Laurie Forman.
"I bet it's going to be really cold, isn't it?" Tina wondered.
"Yes, it is, but don't worry," I leaned closer to her, smiling. "We have each other to keep warm. And there's a fireplace." I added to make the cabin sound more impressive.
"Wow! A fireplace!" She was amazed by it again.
The fireplace would be a bonus for the romantic factor I was going for for the weekend. Then two friends of mine entered the Hub; their names were Harvey McClain and Gordon Durham. Harvey had a shitty grin on his face, and the other, Gordon, almost looked sad for me. That meant there was bad news. For me. Harvey enjoyed other people's pain; the masochist he was.
Harvey's brown hair was down to his shoulders. Not longer like mine, he didn't want to have my length. Gordon had blue eyes and was taller than Harvey.
Since Tina was around, I didn't want her to listen. It was rare when it was only the two of us together.
"Hey, guys, can't you see we're a bit, you know, busy?" I asked them impatiently. Just waiting for them to leave.
"We've got bad news, man." Gordon stated the obvious.
"I figured that much," I deadpanned and then stared at Harvey. I sighed, not wanting to know the news, but on the other hand, I do. "Alright. Give it to me."
"My sister, Amy, told me that she saw Kelso frenching Macy." Harvey gossiped. He enjoyed that juicy gossip evidently because of how it involved my sister's boyfriend. So, that would affect me. Amy was Harvey's little sister; she was in Jackie's grade and was on the cheerleading squad with her.
"Macy? As in...Pam Macy?"
The name was a little fuzzy to me, but I sort of remembered her and her slutty reputation. That was typical for the Macy sisters. Her older sister, Sharon, was in my grade when we used to go to high school together. She's a slut and looks like Pam was following her older sister's footsteps. How cute.
Harvey hummed and nodded for the answer. He was looking way too highly amused for my taste.
"And everybody saw it," Gordon concluded. "Now, the whole school knows which means-"
"My sister knows." I groaned, connecting the dots.
This would break her heart that Kelso cheated on her. I wanted to kill him, but I should go check how Jackie was coping.
"Wait, what? Your sister got cheated on by a Kelso?" Tina asked to get into the loop.
"Not just any Kelso, it's Michael Kelso," Harvey filled her in. "Casey's little brother. Rob is Casey's number one fan-"
"Shut up, Harvey!" I angrily exclaimed at him, but that just made the jerk grin in amusement. Not in the mood because of Kelso and that I had to deal with my sister's broken heart.
Also, Harvey knew better than to say something stupid like that because of my history with Casey.
"Oh, Rob, you should go talk to your sister." Tina advised with sympathy. Her sweet blue eyes met mine.
"Yeah, I know," I sighed in agreement. "Looks like I'll have to."
After I dropped Tina off at her home, I went to mine and gone upstairs to Jackie's bedroom. Her door was closed and I pressed my ear against the door if she was still in there. I heard the soft sobs on the other side. My heart ached for my little sister that she got cheated on by the world's biggest idiot.
What did Pam Macy see in him besides being easy?
"Jackie?" I softly knocked on her door and slowly opened it. I peeked my head inside and saw her crying on her bed. Laid down on her stomach and her head rested on her crossed arms. "Jacks?"
"Go away!" She sobbed, but I wouldn't. She was only saying that because she's upset. Jackie needs me right now.
"I am not leaving you," I responded defiantly and entered her room. I closed the door behind me. Unsure of how to go with this conversation, I started awkwardly, being uncomfortable. I just didn't want to make anything worse. "Um...I, uh...heard about, uhhh...what happened with, um-"
"Oh, just say it, Robert!" Jackie angrily exclaimed looking up at me with her mascara tear stained face. "Everybody knows! Michael made out with that slut Pam Macy behind the gym!"
"Looks like the Macy sisters know how to get around." I tried to joke, but Jackie gave me a look that she wasn't amused at all.
Then I decided to become serious to her.
"I've told you so about Kelso, Jackie-"
"Ugh, I knew you were going to say that!" Jackie frowned as she hugged her stuffed unicorn closer to her chest. She sat up in an Indian style on her bed. "I can't even show my face in the third floor bathroom anymore! Are you going to laugh at me, too? That's what my friends did..."
"No," I honestly answered and joined sitting next to her on the bed. "They're not really your friends since they laughed at you-"
"But those cheerleaders are all I know." Jackie defended.
It was mostly our mother who made Jackie get into the squad. Our mother was in the squad, too. Back in her days at high school, she was the head captain. She wanted her daughter to be the same. I knew Jackie loved and hated it.
"I may not be a fan of Kelso's, but I think his friends aren't so bad. How about after you break up with him, why don't you date that Forman kid? Eric?" I suggested because I liked him.
"Eric?" She gave me a gross look. That was definitely a no. "Ew, I would never date him! Come on, Robert, be serious! But, wait, you want me to break up with Michael?"
"You should after this. He cheated on you, Jackie, and made you feel horrible. You don't deserve that." I told her.
Jackie understood and finally agreed with me. "You're right. After all this time, I thought Michael was in love with me, but...I was wrong..." Jackie frowned and looked like she was about to cry again.
I hugged her and hold her in my arms while she cried to let the pain all out. It would be really hard for her to break up with him, but I was celebrating on the inside.
Finally, it was the weekend when I can spend it with my girlfriend up at the ski cabin in Alpine Valley. It would be freezing, but a perfect reason to cuddle under the blankets and maybe even get lucky.
Who knows?
Before the blizzard hits, I drove my father's Lincoln on the way there with no problem. He let me borrow it because I didn't want anything to happen to my precious Trans Am.
Cindy and I entered the cabin and it was like the sight for her was breathtaking.
"Oh, wow, Rob, this cabin looks so cozy and beautiful!" Tina looked around in admiration. "My uncle has a cabin, but it's in the woods so he can hunt."
"Do you hunt?" I asked curiously as we moved our stuff in.
"Yeah! I also love to go to the shooting range to practice," She answered. Cool. A female hunter. "You should come, too."
"Really?" Then I lowered my voice to sound husky. "Thanks for the offer," I put my hands onto her waist and pulled her closer to me so I can kiss her. "There's only one bedroom." I pointed out suggestively, close to her lips.
Tina smirked and sultry asked. "Then what are we doing out here?"
That caught me by surprise. We didn't date that long and Tina wants to sleep with me already? Alright, nice!
"Wait, are you serious?"
"Yeah..." Tina trailed off and she began kissing me.
After we got settled in the bedroom and unpacked, we went underneath the covers and kept each other warm.
If you catch my drift...
Overall, it was a pretty good day to start the weekend so far.
Later, our clothes was thrown on the floor forgotten. Tina and I was too wrapped up with each other to care about anything else after sex. We were about to go to sleep until the door suddenly opened and the lights turned on nearly blinding my eyes. I looked at the doorway and saw the couple who stood there shell shocked. My eyes widened in horror at who it was.
"Woah!" That voice sounded oddly like Eric Forman.
"Oh my god!" And a mortified Donna Pinciotti.
Perfect. Just perfect.
What the hell were they even doing here?!
The door slammed quickly shut by one of them causing Tina to get awake.
"What happened?" She tiredly asked, her eyes barely opened.
"My sister's friends walked in on us." I explained and that got her awake and alert.
"What? They-they saw us like...this?" Tina was embarrassed and covered herself up with the covers. I didn't know why, though. It's not like they're here anymore.
"Yeah..."
"I thought we had the whole cabin to ourselves!"
"So did I. I'm going to have a talk with my sister."
It just registered to me that there's other voices outside of the bedroom. One of those voices belong to my sister. I've been meaning to talk to about our mixed up arrangement. Mom let me have the ski cabin for the weekend.
How could either of my parents let Jackie and her lame friends have it?
Before I could get up to get dressed and leave, the door opened again and it was Jackie who welcomed herself in. I didn't fully get out of the bed so I was still covered. Thank God.
"Ever heard of knocking?!" I shouted. "What are you doing here?"
"I can ask you the same thing, Robert." Jackie crossed her arms, and her eyes narrowed down at me. She only used my full name when she's angry with me.
I sighed being annoyed with her that she also walked in on Tina and I.
"Just later, okay? When we're both...decent."
"Fine, but just make it quick!" She demanded and the door was slammed yet again.
I gave an apologetic look to Tina. "I'm sorry. I swear, I really didn't expect this to happen."
"It's okay. Sure this was very embarrassing for me, but we'll have many more days to spend together, right?" Tina asked me sweetly.
"Right," I confirmed and kissed her. "Let's get dressed."
After getting dressed, we walked out of the bedroom together and saw Jackie and her friends. I noticed that Kelso wasn't here and was relieved, but I probably shouldn't point that out. Jackie broke up with Kelso so that subject would still be sensitive for her. I also caught that the foreign kid was happily drinking alcohol as he sat on the carpet.
"Is he drinking Dad's amaretto?" I asked in disbelief to Jackie. Since I was the only adult here, maybe I shouldn't have had that happen. "How'd he get that?"
"Beats me, man." Hyde shrugged, lounging on the arm chair sideways, his legs dangled on the arm rest. He even had a beer can in hand, too.
"Oh, hey, Rob. Sorry Eric and I, uh...walked in on you guys like that." Donna apologized to us, sitting on the couch.
"Oh, yeah, which reminds me, Jackie," I remembered, looking down at my sister, and was peeved off. "Um, care to explain what the hell you're doing here?"
"Daddy let me have the ski cabin for the weekend," Jackie answered in her defense. "Who did you ask?"
"Mom."
"While sober?"
"Barely."
We could mostly get away with anything if we ask our mother while she was drunk. Seems like our father didn't pay much attention to what either of us were doing because normally he wouldn't have allowed so many people stay at the cabin. That pretty much gave a summary about our parents.
"You and your little friends will have to go, Jackie." I ordered.
"What? No way. There's a blizzard out there and my car got stuck in snow." Eric argued.
"Yeah, we were about to freeze to death! Do you want your sister to freeze to death?" Jackie exclaimed with her arms crossed.
"Well, if it meant that I can have the cabin alone..." I stopped in mid sentence when I saw the look on her face and even on Tina's.
"But Daddy said that I can have the cabin!" She argued.
"I'm the oldest so I can have it." I debated.
Jackie may be shorter than me, but was still not a force to be reckoned with. But I didn't care. I wasn't afraid of her.
"Oh, look at this. Two rich kids fighting over their expensive toy." Hyde mocked from the chair.
What was his problem?
"Come on, Rob. Let them stay. The blizzard is going to get worse and they can't go now." Tina reasoned and I had to listen to her.
"Fine. You're right," I begrudgingly agreed. "You guys can stay, but on one condition. We can have the bedroom."
"What?! It was supposed to be ours!" Eric was disappointed. I knew he meant himself and Donna.
"It's okay, Eric," Donna approached to him. "We can still keep each other warm in our sleeping bags."
Eric couldn't believe she was alright with that and looked like he had other fantasies going on in his head.
"Okay."
"And no more alcohol," I went over to Fez and snatched the amaretto bottle out of his hand. I felt how light it was and it's totally empty. "Man, did you drink all of this?"
"I feel so hot!" Fez started to take all his clothes off. And I mean all of them.
"At least keep your briefs on, Fez!" Hyde quickly told him. "Nobody needs to see the family jewels, okay?"
"Well, the ladies are going to miss out!" He wiggled his eyebrows seductively at the three girls.
"No we're not." Donna shook her head.
"I'm going to make my very first snow angel!" He happily went outside and no one tried to stop the weirdo.
"Can someone go get him?" I asked them. I'd rather not be a liability to have a dead Mexican on my hands. Or whatever the hell he was.
"Eh, he'll be fine," Hyde said with a careless wave. "I doubt he'll make it out that far."
"Well, someone should go get Fez anyway," I pressed. "Who knows what could happen to him out there?"
"I'll go! Come on, Hyde!" Eric volunteered himself and dragged his friend with him.
"What? No way I'm going out." Hyde didn't budge.
"But-but it's freezing outside!" He complained then his shoulders slumped, giving in. "I'll go..." Eric went out and I stayed inside with the others.
Jackie sat on the couch and looked miserable. Still grieving over the break up with Kelso, but I couldn't understand why. He cheated on her with a Macy.
I was about to go comfort her until Hyde sat in between Donna and Jackie. She threw her arms around him and started to cry.
That was supposed to be my job...
"Okay, o-o-okay, yeah okay," He tried to console her, but he was awkward how he went about it. "Now I can see you're upset. Now listen alright, if it's any consolation, Pam Macy would give it up to anybody."
That only made Jackie sob harder and left for the bedroom. I tried to stop her because I already claimed it.
"No! Don't go in there! It's mine-" I groaned when she slammed the door.
Tina and Donna glared at Hyde.
"I'll try to talk to her." Tina said and head for the bedroom.
"No, it's okay. You don't have to. She'll get over it." I insisted, not wanting her to leave me.
"This is not just something you get over, Rob." Tina rebuked and went to Jackie, closing the door behind her.
I sighed and wanted to put the blame on Hyde for upsetting my sister.
"Hey, Rob, man. Do you mind if you make yourself scarce so Donna and I can have some alone time?" Hyde casually wrapped an arm around Donna's shoulders, but she angrily brushed it off, looking pissed. She got up from the couch.
"How could you upset Jackie like that, Hyde? You're such a jerk, you know that?" Donna fumed.
"Come on, I'm just goofing around." Hyde gave the excuse, getting up.
"No, you're not. Look, I'm up here with Eric. Alright. Get it? Not you." She snapped.
"I know, okay? Look, do you think I like hitting on my best friend's girlfriend? I don't. But I look at you, I mean, look at you," He said softly. "I can't help it."
"You better." She muttered.
Those two seemed to be having a moment that I should just leave and help Eric find Fez. When Hyde kissed Donna, my eyes widened in shock at how he was dumb enough make that move. Good for Donna that she shoved him off and slapped his face. Then she joined Jackie and Tina in my bedroom. She brushed past me, nearly knocking me over on her way there. Then the door got slammed.
"Chicks..." Hyde chuckled the scene off as if Donna's harsh rejection didn't bother him, but it obviously did.
"You deserved it, man," I told him. "Shouldn't have come to another guy's girl like that. Breaks the bro code."
"Yeah, I know, but look at her. She's smoking hot, man."
The way he so casually came onto his best friend's girl like that painfully reminded me of Casey Kelso. When I walked in on Casey and Laurie doing...well, what I thought they were doing...I couldn't let another replay of that happen for Eric and Donna if it got worse.
"Donna's obviously not interested in you so just let go of her. She seems to be really into Eric. Think of how he will feel. You don't want to ruin your friendship with him over a girl." I tried to be logical about it.
"You're right, man, but it's hard," Hyde agreed pensively and grumbled. "It's like I can't get nothing what I want..."
"I know how you feel."
"What?" He looked at me as if I was ridiculous. "What are you talking about? You're rich! You're a Burkhart! You and Jackie get everything handed to you on a silver platter. Makes me sick!"
"Hey, we don't get everything." I denied, getting defensive.
I thought about how our home life really was and that having a lot of money meant nothing. Especially, when I lost the girl that meant to me the most. Even more than money. So, yeah, Laurie was pretty special.
Of course, I still love Gina, don't get me wrong. Tina! I mean, Tina!
"Whatever..." He muttered in disgust and looked away from me.
What a jerk.
Hopefully, Jackie won't ever get with that loser.
Later, Eric returned with Fez only in his briefs. But those two weren't the only ones who came back. There was Kelso, too, and helped Eric carry an unconscious Fez. They lazily threw him on the back of the couch.
"Michael!" Jackie squealed happily and ran up to Kelso and hugged him as if they never broke up. "You walked all the way here driving in the snowstorm just to be with me, didn't you, Michael?" She pointed her finger at him. "And you would never, ever do that for Pam Macy, would you?"
"No...?" Kelso answered with uncertainty. How could Jackie trust him again after he cheated on her? What exactly did Tina and Donna talk about to my sister?
Jackie grabbed him by his shirt and jumped up so she could wrap her legs around his waist. Kelso used his arms to support her.
"Lover!"
"Ah, you know it!"
Kelso carried Jackie and they was about to go to the bedroom. I hurriedly blocked their path with my arms from entering the bedroom.
"No! I forbid it!" I disallowed Kelso from taking advantage of Jackie.
"You will do no such thing, Robert!" Jackie looked at me while still being in Kelso's arms. "Michael came all the way here just for me and I forgive him because I love him! Now move! Don't make me get down and kick you!"
"Yeah, Rob, you don't have to be so controlling." Tina remarked making me gape at her for that accusation.
How dare she call me controlling!? I wasn't controlling! ...Was I...?
"Uh, Rob, man, can you move...?" Kelso asked sounding a bit impatient so he can have his way with Jackie.
Unfortunately, I stepped aside so the lovely couple can do the unspeakable. Hyde closed the door behind them because I was too disgusted and disturbed to move. They're going to 'do it' in there in my bedroom!
"I need a drink..." I muttered and went to my father's liquor cabinet. My hand randomly grabbed a whiskey and I got a glass for myself to pour it in.
"Rob-" Tina started to talk to me, but I don't want to hear it.
"You and Donna got my sister to hook up with Kelso again. I don't want to talk to you." I stubbornly told her and took a sip of the Jim Beam.
She crossed her arms with a raised eyebrow. "Oh, so you think that's what we talked to her about, huh?"
"Obviously." My hand gestured to the closed door where the reunited couple was in.
Tina scoffed and rolled her eyes as she went to talk to Donna some more. She sat on the couch and my girlfriend stood next to her on the side. Donna was uncomfortable with the half naked Fez and how his laying position was.
"Can one of you guys put his pants on?"
After Kelso and Jackie got back together, I also got my bedroom back, but I wasn't so sure how I felt being in the bed knowing...ugh, I shudder to think about it. Even though Jackie told me they didn't do anything, I knew they must have because the bedsheets was in disarray.
"Rob, won't you just get into bed with me?" Tina asked because she had no problem being in the same bed.
"No. I am perfectly fine right here." I refused like a child, but I didn't care. Laying on the hard floor was comfortable...I guess...I had a blanket, a pillow, and half bottle of Jim Beam...
"No, you're not."
"Yes, I am."
"Fine, be that way," Tina sighed then said in a lofty voice. "Looks like I'll have to take care of myself tonight."
"Wait - what?" I clambered myself up on my feet and rushed into bed with her.
"I knew you wouldn't stay down there forever." She said knowingly with a smirk and kissed me.
"Sorry I was mean to you earlier," I apologized. "I just hate that guy. What did you and Donna talk to Jackie about?"
"That's girl talk, honey, I don't think you'd be interested." Tina began to leave kisses on my neck. Of course she won't reveal their conversation. Typical of girls.
"Okay, fine. But you know what I am interested in?"
I kissed her back and we got under the covers to...well, you know...
Author's Note: Don't worry about Rob and Hyde. They'll get along eventually, but right now, they won't like each other for a while. Hope you enjoy this episode and please leave a review! :)
