Chapter 11: Food wars and devils
Downtown Vale 11:00 AM
The city was relatively quieter than it was normally as people were at cafes and chatting with each other and a few cars driving by. Here we see a shop called "Dust Till Dawn" was looking brand new. The owner was standing on a ladder as he hung a sign that said Newly Re-opened on the front of the store. He looked up at his handiwork and let out a sigh of content and he started to climb down the ladder. Before he touched the ground someone on the sidewalk briefly bumped into his back and he was knocked off and fell the last three steps. "Sorry." A voice said above his spot on the ground. The old man looked up and saw the person responsible. It was a girl in her late teens to early twenties at best. She had medium-brown colored skin and large dark red eyes. Her hair was a light, mint green cut with a straight fringe and bangs, as well as two long locks on each side in the back that went down to her waistline. Her top half consisted of an olive colored shallow cut crop top with an intricately designed sleeveless white top over it that showed more skin but still covered the more important parts. It also had a cut gem emblem on its back. She had green armbands on her forearms the covered the back of her hands and wrapped around her middle finger, and another one in gray on her left bicep. Her white pants had an overlong belt wrapped twice and brown chaps that ended at her calves. The belt had two holsters on the back for her two dual wielded revolvers. The owner smiled as she helped him up. "I'm not really from around here." She reached into her pocked and pulled out a piece of paper with a name and address. "Could you point me in the direction of this shop?" The owner looked at the piece of paper and nodded. He pointed down the street from his shop and gave her directions. The girl thanked him and started to walk down the street. When she reached the corner, a voice sounded out. "I knew you were lost." The girl turned to a man with silver-gray slightly swept back hair who was standing behind a corner. He was a pale and well built young man with gray eyes. He wore a slate gray and black two-tone partial zip up jacket that covers his upper body. Over his black with gray-striped pants he has a notched belt with a sash draped over it. Protecting his sleeveless arms are sets of rerebraces and vambraces. His boots had metal pieces with racks of buckshot wrapped around them. And the man himself Tomura in a black hood. The girl just rolled her eyes as she walked back up to him. "Mercury and Tomura" She held up a wallet filled with Lien cards. "I will seriously pay you to shut up." He looked at her with a smile. The wallet belonged to the store owner. "That's not your money." He said. "But it could be yours,for five minutes of silence." The girl said back smiling as well, hoping he would take the offer and just shut up. "Hmm...," He contemplated the thought with his chin in his hand, before shaking his head no. "No deal." Mercury declined.
"What about you Tomura you want some money" The girl asked
"No we have a mission to do" Tomura said
The girl just growled and grumbled. "Fine." The girl said as she pulled the money out and angrily threw the wallet down on the ground before walking away. "Whatever, you so want me." Mercury said The three walked down the street for a bit, looking for the store they wanted. While they walked, people were still at restaurants and talking joyfully. "So how much farther, Emerald?" Mercury asked. "A few more blocks." The girl now named Emerald answered. "This city is so boring." He complained as he looked around at the normal people. "Really? I kind of like it." The girl said back. "Tall buildings, diverse culture..." "And lots of dopey, ignorant people who are super easy to pickpocket." Mercury finished with a chuckle. The store owner was the sixteenth person she had swindled already.
"You really haven't seen this city's underbelly if you think this is all there is to Vale," Tomura said.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Mercury responded, only the slightest bit of hostility in his voice.
"Those are in every city." The girl stopped and said. Mercury stopped in front of her.
"Oh, Emerald! Master Thief!" Mercury mocked.
"Please don't take our money, I have but enough to get by." Emerald glared at her partners before walking ahead.
Mercury just shook his head disapprovingly. "You're no fun today." The three walked further until they reached their target: a bookstore called Tukson's Book Trade. The words underneath it read
"Home to every book under the sun." They walked in and looked around. The sign wasn't lying when it said this place was home to a lot of books. The walls lined the shelves in the store, and practically littered behind the counter and on it. Mercury and Tomura were staying near the front and looking through the stock the store had. Emerald stayed on task and walked up to the desk. There was no one there and the number of books there on the floor was just ridiculous. She heard someone humming in the back, she saw the bell on the counter top surrounded with more books and rang it.
"One second. Be right there!" The owner shouted before he backed into the room with his arms full of books. He was a tall and muscular man with some manly black facial hair. "Welcome to Tukson's Book Trade! Home to every book under the sun." The owner, who was most likely Tukson, placed the books down and turned to Emerald.
"How may- uh..." He cleared his throat when he locked eyes with her, his eyes showed slight fear before disappearing with his business man smile. "How may I help you?"
"Just browsing." Mercury said at the front before closing the book he held open very loudly.
"I was hoping for something more but this is good" Tomura said
"Actually, I was wondering, do have any copies of 'The Thief and The Butcher?'" Emerald asked as she leaned on the counter.
"Yes, we do." The owner answered.
"That's great." Emersld said
"Would you want a copy?" He asked slowly.
"No, just curious." She said as Mercury closed another book a little louder.
"Oh, what about Violet's 'Garden', in paperback?"
"He's got it." Mercury said, making his partner turn around to see him with said book in hand. "In hardback too."
"Ooh, options are nice..." She said before putting her finger to her chin. Mercury opened a book but was disappointed at what he saw.
"Needs more pictures." Mercury mumbled before throwing another book to the ground. "Got any comics?"
"Near the front." The owner said, pointing him to the correct aisle.
"Oh! No wait." Emerald raised her hand in thought before looking back at Tukson expectantly
"What about 'Third Crusade'?" Emerald asked. The owner widened his eyes in thought, catching the other two's attention.
"I... uh… I don't believe we have that one in stock."
"Oh..." Mercury closed another book even louder.
"Stop doing that right now" Tomura said
"What was this place called again?" Emerald asked, leaning her arm on the counter.
"Tukson's Book Trade." The owner answered.
"And your Tukson?" Tomura asked him.
"That's right." Tukson answered.
"So then I take it that you're the one who came up with the catchphrase?" Emerald asked.
"Yes." He answered.
"And it was what again?" Mercury asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Tukson's Book Trade. Home to every book under the sun." Tukson sighed before looking up
"Except the 'Third Crusade'." Mercury added slowly.
"It's just a catchphrase." Tukson defended with his arms raised.
"It's false advertisement." Mercury said back louder.
"You shouldn't make promises you can't keep, Tukson." Emerald said as Mercury walked to the front by the door. He shut off one of the window lights.
"I heard that you're planning on leaving. Moving all the way to Vacuo. Your brothers in the White Fang won't be too happy to hear about that."
Mercury shut the door light off. "And neither are we." He shut off the last window lights and walked back to join his accomplice.
"You know who we are, don't you?"
He mulled for a second before answering. "Yes." He answered.
"And you know why we're here?" Tomura asked.
"Yes." He nodded as he backed up slightly, muscles tensing underneath his shirt.
"So, are you gonna fight back?" Emerald asked with a smile on her face.
The silence that proceeded was deathly, daring for someone to break it. It was swiftly broken by Tukson.
"Yes!" Tukson unsheathed his claws and jumped on the counter. He jumped off and swung at Emerald, who ducked, before looking up as Mercury kicked forward into his body and unleashed some buckshot from his boot.
The two walked out of the store, having completed their mission.
"What's with that?" Emerald asked Mercury who was holding a comic.
"Meh. I like the pictures." He responded before closing the book.
"Wait, where's Tomura?" Emerald asked the two looked at the bookstore to see him touch the building and then it crumbled right in front of them Emerald and Mercury eyes were wide due to the destruction he caused.
"Now we can go" Tomura said as he walked making them back away from him
"Remind me to never piss him off," Mercury said.
Beacon Academy 11:45 AM 's office Izuku was in his uncle's office finishing his written test for his driving exam.
"Well Uncle Batholomew did i pass?" Izuku asked
"Good news Izuku you passed" Dr. Oobleck
"Yes i can finally get my driver's license and race Yang for our second date" Izuku said
"Is that why you wanted to take your driver's test Young Midoriya" Toshinori said in the doorway
"Oh Toshinori hi" Izuku said
"Ah Toshinori good to see again" Dr. Oobleck said
"Good to see you Bartholomew, so Young Midoriya you and Miss Xaio Long are dating" Toshinori
"We had our first date at Dagoba Beach but i don't know if our and it was great for our next one we have to race to Vale" Izuku said
"Well, it really sounds like you want that date Izuku" Dr. Oobelck said
"I do Yang is a lot of fun to hang out she combat smart she tells the best jokes and she's very beautiful" Izuku said
"And you want to race her for a date?" Toshinori asked
"It was her idea to have the race. It might be fun" Izuku said as Toshinori and Dr. Oobelck just looked at each other and chuckled. Izuku was confused but then he looked at the clock and saw it was almost time to go and meet the others.
"Oh man i have to go it's lunch time" Izuku said
"Okay Izuku" Dr. Oobelck said
"Be sure to not be late for the trip tomorrow Young Midoriya" Toshinori said
"Right see you later Toshinori" Izuku said
Cafeteria 12:00 PM
It was currently lunch time. Team TKIS were eating with Team RWBY while Blake looked over some notes.
Yang then slides up next to her partner and asks "Whatcha doing?"
"Nothing" Blake answered while closing her book "Just going over notes from last semester".
Yang catches a grape in her mouth "Lame".
"Sunray i got good news" Izuku said
"What is Greenie" Yang asked
But then Ruby slams a large binder onto the table, catching everyone off guard. On the cover of the binder is written "Vytal Festival Activities, Property of Weiss Schnee". This has been hastily crossed out with a red marker pen, and with the same pen, a new title, "Best Day Ever Activities", has been written underneath.
She clears her throat before beginning her speech "Sisters... friends... Weiss"
"Hey!" Weiss shouted.
"First off we are-" Katsuki did not finish what he was saying
"Four score and seven minutes ago, I had a dream." Ruby continued.
"Don't you ignore me runt" Katsuki said
"It's fine, just go with it." Blake said Katsuki just sucked on his teeth with his left hand on the bench. Blake puts her right hand on top and pat his hand as if to say "good boy".Katsuki looks at Blake who was looking at Ruby then she looks back and smiles at him and turns to Ruby.
"This out to be good." Yang said to Blake before catching a cherry flung her way and flipping a thumbs up towards Nora.
"A dream that one day, not just the four of us would come together as a team, but all our friends and teammates would come together and have the most fun anyone has ever had, ever!" Ruby finished.
"Did you steal my binder?" Weiss asked, looking at the cover of the folder. Vytal Festival Activities property of Weiss, was crossed out with red marker and replaced with Best day activities.
"I am not a crook." Ruby said making a "peace" signs
"I don't think anyone said your are" Shoto said
"What are you talking about?" Blake asked.
"Well as much as i don't like the idea of stealing i do want to hear your project" Tenya said
"I'm talking about kicking off the semester with a bang!" Ruby said as she pointed her finger at Blake and Tenya.
"I always kick my semesters off with a Yang!" Yang joked.
Izuku giggled while the others either shook their heads or facepalmed Shoto did not get it.
"Eh? Guys? Am I right?" Yang said before An apple hits her in the face
"Boooooooooooooooo!" Nora said from her table.
"Hey i like Yang jokes" Izuku said to Nora
"Look guys, it's been a good two weeks and between more exchange students arriving and the tournament at the end of the year, our second semester is going to be great! But, classes start back up tomorrow! Which is why I've taken the time to schedule a series of wonderful events for us today" Ruby said.
"I don't know whether to be proud or scared of what you have in store," Weiss said with a suspicious look on her face.
"Wait don't we have a trip tomorrow" Shoto asked
Yang picks up an apple and tosses it across the room. Hitting a random guy who shouts "Hey!" and Nora just giggles.
"Sunray stop who knows what can happen" Izuku said
"I don't know. I think I might sit this one out" Blake said unsure.
"Scaredy cat" Katsuki said
"Sit out or not, I think however we spend this last day we should do it as a group." Weiss said back.
"I got it!" Nora shouted in the background, making Yang shake her head no.
"Well, I for one think-" Tenya cut himself off as a pie flew and hit Weiss square in the face, catching everyone's attention. As the pie tin fell to the floor, the eight looked over at Team JNPR. Jaune had paled significantly in shock and horror, Pyrrha covered her mouth either shocked or giggling as Nora pointed over to Ren who face-palmed at his partner's antics.
"I knew something bad would happen." Izuku said
Outside the Cafeteria
Sun walked side by side with someone with messy light blue hair that was shaved on the sides and back of his head. He wore a white dress shirt and balck tie underneath a red jacket with a black collar. He also wore some dark grey jeans with black padding. His black shoes were patched instead of tied. He wore black fingerless gloves and yellow goggles on his head.
"Man, that's harsh." The blue hair boy said as Sun talked about the incident on the docks.
"So then the three of us were fighting side by side by side, and she was super-fast and I threw a banana at a guy, Izuku broke his finger which sounds gross, but it was awesome!" Sun continued.
"Nice! And that the guy who let you stay at his house" His friend said.
"Yeah he even asked me about my semblance" Sun said
"And Izuku and his girl are friends now cool" The boy asked
"I know, right." Sun said back. "And the best part is, she's a Faunus." He covered his mouth having realized his mistake. "But that's a secret, okay!?"
"Got it." The light blue hair boy replied.
"And I don't mean an 'I'm going to tell Scarlet the second Sun turns his back' secret!" Sun clarified. "When I say secret, I mean secret secret."
"Dude, relax. I got it." The light blue hair boy reassured him. "I got it."
"You'd better." Sun replied as the two continued to walk, completely unaware of the battle that was shown through the windows. They didn't even see that Jaune was thrown at the window. "I just don't wanna screw anything up with this girl. The people here are the coolest, no offense to you guys."
"None taken." The light blue hair said back as the two reached the door.
"Okay, they're just in here." Sun pointed to the door that lead to the cafeteria. "I'm really excited for you to meet them, so, just be cool okay?" he reached for the doors before hesitating and looking back at his friend. "You're gonna be cool, right?"
"Dude..." His friend stared offended at the question as he struck a cool guy pose that actually seemed to work well for him.
"Good point." Sun nodded as the two stepped through the door. A mob of Beacon students ran pass them, shouting something about a food fight, making Sun smile and scaring the other boy.
Nora laughed as she stood atop a castle of tables and soda machines Team JNPR put together. Pyrrha was below her with Ren,Jaune along with Velvet,Yatsuhashi and two more people . "I'm queen of the castle! I'm queen of the castle!" She sang manically like she did at the beginning of the year.
"How did we get roped in this?" Velvet asked
"It looked like it was going to eight against four now it even" said a 18-year-old girl also wearing a school uniform like Velvet. She had fair skin. Dark brown eyes hidden by a pair of black, wire-rimmed aviator sunglasses, short dark brown hair with wavy locks on one side of her face that's dyed with a gradient that starts as dark brown and transitions to a caramel color. And on her head was a black beret with a cocoa brown trim. This is Velvet's leader.
The boy next to Velvet had dark skin and dark messy copper hair with a long fringe and a cowlick. He has a vertical scar on his lip and his eyes are a pure, faded white.
"Also i think i know who hit me with a apple " Yatsuhahi said
Ruby slammed her foot on a table, sending food and trays up. She pointed at the other team holding a milk carton in the other. "Justice will be swift! Justice will be painful!" She squeezed her hand and the milk burst out. "It will be delicious!" She shouted
"YEAH!" Standing behind Ruby and pumping their fist up along with her was Weiss, Blake, Yang, Izuku, Shoto and even Katsuki
"ALL OF YOU CEASE THIS BEHAVIOR AT ONCE!" Iida then came up in between the two groups while doing his robotic arm movements on overdrive. "THIS IS NOT THE SORT OF EXAMPLE WE SHOULD BE SETTING FOR BEA-Of!" Iida was then cut off by a watermelon hitting his head and getting stuck.
"FIRST BLOOD!" Jaune cheered in victory. "Let's keep the assault coming guys!"
"Off with their heads!" Nora ordered as she jumped down behind a table of watermelons. Ren jumped on a tray and kicked three watermelons forward while Jaune did a flip throwing his, and Pyrrha threw three more. Nora flipped the table and sent all the watermelon on it flying and rapidly descending on the two teams.
"Yang! Turkey!" Ruby ordered as her sister charged forward. She flipped and stuck her hands into turkeys and slammed them together.
"I got your back Sunray!" Izuku quickly joined the blond's side as he took another two Turkeys and placed them on his fist as the two took on the watermelon barrage. The two brawlers took the large fruit head on and broke them apart with their fist along with the occasional dodge.
"Yatsuhashi bananas" The girl said
"Right Coco" Yatsujashi said to the girl now know as Coco throwing bananas at her she began to fire theme like a mingun at Izuku and Yang
"Fall back Greenie" Yang said as Izuku did fall back from the attack
Yang launched the turkeys at Jaune and Pyrrha, the latter of whom rolled out of the way while the boy was pelted by the poultry. The red head saw Blake running towards her and she grabbed a baguette as Blake jumped down and swung with the jumped back as Yatsuhashi tried getting Blake with a longer baguette he wielded like a sword. Pyrrha and Yatsuhashi charged at Blake. The three glared at each other as they began a bread sticking battle. Blake took the offensive on Pyrrha while Yatsuhashi parried to strikes. Blake but she had used her Semblance to get behind the warrior to attack Pyrrha. Blake swung again and Pyrrha blocked the hit before ducking under one of Yatsuhahi's strikes. Now he was the one in between them.
The t blade users dodged strikes from each other as the third wielder jumped in on any openings. Blake had used her semblance again to gain some height and throw one of her two loaves of bread at the two, hoping to catch one. Both dodged with Pyrrha going backwards and Yatsuhashi rushing to the spot Blake would land. Pyrrha charged forward and stabbed at them both, Yatsuhashi had side stepped from the strike and her loaf was now two halves and Blake was sent flying back leaving hers behind. Pyrrha caught it and used it to fend off Blake before sending her back as well. She then threw it at Yang. The blonde broke two more loafs before a third got her.
Ruby jumped on a tray and surfed across the tables. Izuku jumped and ran alongside her as the two runners dodged when they tried to strike one another. Phyrrha threw another one at the two. In response Izuku ducked and ran for cover while Ruby jumped up and swung her tray, sending a baguette back at Pyrrha, who rolled out of the way. Ruby landed on the tray and kept surfing before she jumped again and sent the redhead backwards as Ren and Nora ran forward.
Izuku was going to help Blake but a pizzas came flying at him he look to see Velvet holding two more pizzas in her best Frieze pose
As she sands the pizzas at Izuku "5% Turkey Smash" Izuku said launched the turkeys in a Kamehameha wave pose launcher at Velvet as she dodge the first one but get hit with the second as it hits her
"Sorry Velvet" Izuku said
"It okay i'm fine" Velvet respond
"OUTTA THE WAY EXTRAS!" Katsuki said then ran past Blake to get in front of Yatsuhashi carrying two cobs of corn in both hands. The ash-blond rearing his hands back with sparks coming off them. "NOW DIE!" Katsuki said then used his explosions to fire on one of the corn kernels, starting popping at incredible speeds and launching off the cobs like pellets.
"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" Yatshuhashi let out as he tried to block the popcorn pellet. Katsuki sand the next one like a rocket going to Coco but she jumps out of the way and dodges the popcorn pellet. Katsuki sees the last member of team CFVY.
"I got him you can take out magnet girl here" Katsuki then left the two girls with confused looks on their faces
"Did he just accidentally help me?" Blake asked
"I think he did" Pyrrha said
Katsuki then got in front of the boy with demonic like smile on his face "Your my carrot top" Katsuki said only to see that he was blind but he didn't care as he lunched himself to him but a pie came fly passed him to see the blind boy throwing theme at him
"Am Fox Alistair " The boy now known as Fox said
"I don't give a fuck" Katsuki said then slammed his fist down on the table he was next to and sent all the food on it into the air and jumped up in front of all the airborne material. "DIE!"
Katsuki then started firing off rapid mini-explosion to send various food products ranging from apples, to rice balls, to slabs of meat, at Fox. But the blind boy was ready as he used pineapples to block and counter them.
"Take this!" Fox then used a lunch table as a springboard and leapt towards Katsuki and performed a forward used his explosion sending himself flying back to Fox who was now across the lunchroom.
"Gonna have to do better than that!" Fox said before charging at the ash-blonde wolf.
Ruby jumped out of the way as Weiss sprayed ketchup on the ground in a similar fashion to how she and Shoto tend to stab the ground, making Ren slip and crash into a table, sending debris flying everywhere. Nora jumped from one flying table to another. She leapt up to one of the flagpoles and broke the pipe of it from the ceiling. She descended and landed before slamming one end into a watermelon. She swung like her hammer at Weiss before Ruby moved in front of the heiress, taking the blow for her and flying backwards.
Weiss grabbed a swordfish and charged forward, sending Nora back. They charged back and as Weiss tried to stab her, Nora spun her weapon above her, the heiress did her best to parry the strikes before Nora slammed her 'hammer' at her in the stomach, sending Weiss flying back into a pillar that broke on impact.
Weiss fell as the pillar cracked and started to fall behind her. Ruby saw this and rushed over, pulling the unconscious snow haired girl out of the way.
"Weiss, Weiss, don't leave me." She dramatically begged as the pillar slammed into the ground. Seeing her friend unresponsive clutched at her heartstrings raw. "NOOOOOOOO!" She wailed at the top of her lungs.
Tenya ran past the two with the watermelon still on his head now as a helmet and holding a baguette like he would ingenium in lance form and watermelons on his feet. Ren had also recovered and grabbed two leeks. The two yelled as they charged each other yelling before Ren brought up his makeshift weapons and catched Tenya's jabs. The two traded blows before Tenya gained the advantage only for the baguette to break. Tenya, now using the watermelons on his feet, kicked him under his chin and sent him high up. He re-orientated himself and flipped in midair and threw his leeks at the spectacled leader. He responded by jumping up, letting the two leeks bury themselves in the ground. He was above Ren and axe kicked him to the ground, creating a massive shockwave that sent everything on the ground flying.
The man landed and jumped back from Nora swinging her 'hammer' while angry shouting.
"No one hurts my Ren." Yang was on the other side of him and readied her punch and charged as Nora swung upwards. Tenya used his speed to get out of the middle and with her superior reach, Nora launched Yang through the ceiling sending rubble down onto Blake who flipped out of the way
"Yang!?" Izuku shouted before more pizzas came at him he was worried about her but he want to win the war for her
"So you're the kid who punched a Chaos Effect huh" Coco said "i have to say if i were Yang i date you two" She said lowering her sunglasses and winking at him making him blush
"That very kind but i really like her"Izuku said
"She's a lucky girl" Coco said before firing again and Velvet throwing more pizzas but Izuku made his way to Blake . She reached to grab a sausage link, but it was snapped away from the other end and into the hands of Yatsuhashi he flicked it at Blake and Izuku who dodged and moved for some distance. he then twirled around masterfully with this stand-in weapon and swung it at Nora, sending her back into a vending machine. The vending machine had broken and was shooting out several cans of soda. Nora grabbed two and threw them at Blake and Izuku. Who dodged both as they exploded in bright colors across the floor. Coco who joined Nora was throwing violently shaken pop cans like grenades.
"Haha! Fire in the hole!" Coco said
Pyrrha noticed the soda cans all around her and slammed her hand into the floor as she used her Semblance to split the cans into two parts, half for Izuku, and the other half chased after Blake at once. Unable to dodge, the two of them were forced through a wall and went flying to the other side.
Jaune meanwhile used his foot to flip up a lunch tray and use it like a shield while picking up an absurdly long baguette on the floor to use like a sword.
"Here I come!" Jaune then rushed forwards towards Shoto who had a leek in his right hand Jaune used the bread to perform a vertical slash at the ice and fire user. Shoto barely managed to jumped backwards to dodge and then looked to the golden blond boy and charged at him
"your not half bad Jaune" Shoto said as he hits the baguette
"Thanks" Jaune said then Shoto wiped his leek sending jell-o to him But the golden blond was ready as he either used his food tray to block or his baguette sword to counter them. Jaune and Shoto 'swords' collide , perform a forward thrust with the baguette to Shoto who had pulled out from his left hand ghost peppers as Jaune had his mouth open in surprise Shoto threw them in his mouth the moment Jaune bit down on it he was sweating up a storm his face turned bright red and screamed in pain.
Ruby was with Weiss the whole time and she saw both of her other teammates go flying. Finally having enough of it, she crouched into a sprinting position and took off, kicking up a storm of soda cans and other food items. The other seven stood up and stared in shock as Ruby spun; creating a cyclone that swept them up. Tenya however ran full speed as well through Ruby's wind and grabbed his flying teammates before Ruby could get any of them. Ruby stopped in front of the back wall with enough force to crack it with a large impact crater as the other students landed against it. Glynda went to say more but felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Let them be." Ozpin said, walking up from behind as the students started to laugh at the fight they just had as Izuku then whispered Yang ear that he passed the written Yang was so happy she lightly kissed Izuku on the cheek to congratulate him that he blush from the kiss.
Glynda sighed, "They're supposed to be the defenders of the world."
"And they will be." Ozpin replied. "But for now, they're still children. So why not let them play the part?" He turned around and started to walk back towards the door. "After all, it's not a role they'll have forever."
In an old warehouse 1:00 PM, the White Fang are moving crates as Emerald and Mercury enter.
"Oh, look! she sent the kids again! This is turning out just like the divorce!" Roman Torchwick approaches the two from behind and wraps his arms around them in a group hug.
"Spare us the thought of you procreating".Emerald shivers in disgust
"That was a joke. And this... just might tell me where you two have been all day" Roman said as he produced a piece of paper to his hand.
"What!? Agh...".Emerald began searching her pockets
"I'm a professional, sweetheart. Pay attention, maybe you'll learn something" Roman said before looking at the piece of paper in his hand "Why do you have this address? And where's Tomura".
"Wouldn't you like to know?".Emerald pointed at him and asked
"Yeah, I would. Now where have you been all day?" Roman demanded.
"Cleaning up your problems. One of them, at least" Mercury said.
"I had that under control," Roman said, annoyed.
"Two packed bags and a ticket out of Vale said otherwise" Mercury pointed out.
Roman has just about had it with them "Listen, you little punk. If it were up to me, then I would take you and your little street rat friend here and...".
"Do what, Roman?" A cold and dangerous voice came. Fall, the head of the operation, appears out of the shadows on the platform above them. She steps onto an automated lift, riding it down to their level.
"I'd, uh... not kill them?".Roman laughs nervously
"Cinder!" Emerald said excitedly and walked to greet one of her leaders only to be completely ignored by her.
"I thought I made it clear that you would eliminate the would-be runaway," Cinder said.
"I was going to..." Roman began but was interrupted.
"He was going to escape to Vacuo! Mercury, Tomura and I decided to take it upon ourselves to kill the rat" Emerald said proudly.
"What? Like a puma?" Emerald asked amused.
"Yeah, there ya go" Mercury said equally amused.
"Quiet. Did I not specifically instruct you two to keep your hands clean while in Vale?" Cinder speaks in a dangerous tone, as Roman points a finger at the pair while laughing in agreement.
Emerald looked worried "I just thought...".
"Don't think... obey" Cinder warned.
"Yes ma'am. It won't happen again" Emerald said apologetically.
"This is what happens when you give important missions to children and an idiot" Kurogiri Said The group of villains walking in with Tomura.
"Well it is not Tomura and Kurogiri. How did your job go?" Cinder asked.
"The plan is going well" Kurogiri answered.
"Good" Cinder said before looking at Roman "And you. Why wasn't this job done sooner?"
Roman points to his right, then to his left, then behind him "Uh..? Eh..? Eh..? EHHH! Sorry if I've been busy stealing every speck of Dust in the Kingdom!".
"You're an inspiration to every punk with a gun and a ski mask" Mercury said and Emerald laughed at the remark.
"Look around, kid. I've got this town running scared! Police are camping out at every corner, Dust prices through the roof, and we're sitting pretty in an old warehouse with more Dust crystals, vials, and rounds than we know what to do with! Speaking of which, if you guys wouldn't mind filling me in on your grand master plan, it might make my next string of robberies go a little smoother!" Roman emphasizes the last word by clenching his fist.
Cinder approaches Roman "Oh, Roman. Have a little faith" She places her hand on his face "You'll know what you need when you need to know it" She had a dangerous look in her eyes. Roman seems entranced, but then looks away with a grunt "Besides, we're done with Dust" Cinder said as she begins to walk away confusing Roman.
"O-okay, then what now?" He asked
"We're moving. Have the White Fang clear out this building. I'll send you details and coordinates tomorrow tonight if things go south" Cinder said.
"Coordinates? For what" Roman asked
Cinder Looked back at him "We're proceeding to phase two".
"Don't mess up this time Torchwick" Kurogiri warned "Losing to a bunch of children was just pathetic".
"Those kids got lucky! But the one I talked about is who you should worry" Roman said.
"I am dealing with those who are actually a threat to us. Not with run away pups. You would do well to know your place" Kurogiri warned darkly but when he heard Emerald and Mercury laugh making Tomura turned to them.
"Don't think you two are any smoother. You left a footprint in that animal's skull! You fight with kicks, did you not think for one moment that someone might be able to put the two on two together? I had to get rid of the body to cover your tracks'' Tomura said
Mercury crossed his arms "You call that covering my footprint Then are not any smarter then that thing you have so why don't you and smokey here away and"
Before he could finish, Tomura's hand was on his head with his index finger up as Kurogiri had opened a portal in the above him "The dog who barks the loudest is always the first to be put down. Do not underestimate Nomu. Or me!".
"The same goes for all of you, do not mistake your part in this! The league is taking a very big risk working with you. Give me one reason to think you will stab us in the back" Tomura his hand "i will turn you to dust!" He looked at Cinder "my master may trust yours. But I don't. Remember that''.
With that Tomura,Roman turned into Kurogiri and vanished.
"I hate that guy!" Mercury growled
"He is dangerous. But that's what makes him and The League of Villains perfect allies" Cinder said with an evil smile.
Oh my were back again sorry about that ending i will never do that welcome to volume two i had so many ideas about this chapter and yes i added Team CVFY in every MHA RWBY cross over eight it would be against four but now it eight on eight and yes the opening to this ending of this chapter was Backstreets Back by the Backstreets Boys
