"Little more off the top. Little more… little more… perfect~!" Namine smiled as she started drawing.

"I don't get why you're making me model." Riku said, holding up a Paopu fruit up in the air while holding a book in the other hand.

"Oh because you look cute while doing so."

Riku sweatdropped. "I don't want to look cute."

"Oh, don't be such a sourpuss." Namine giggled.

"Riku! Namine!" Sora came running over to them. "…Oh, am I interrupting something?"

"No." Riku said.

"Yes." Namine responded, then the two looked at each other.

"Never mind… have you guys seen Kairi around?"

"Wasn't she with you?" Riku asked.

"I mean, I turn my back on her for like… a minute, I was coming back with lemonade but she disappeared on me."

"Maybe she's in the ocean?" Namine guessed. "Or perhaps she decided to take a walk around the island… oooor maybe she's on the tree that you guys like to sit on. Or perhaps she decided to, on a whim, go see Aqua or Xion."

"I thought so too… but then I saw this." Sora said, handing them the note.

"…Mushroom Kingdom?" Riku tilted his head.

"Mushroom… Kingdom." Namine flipped the page and proceeded to quickly sketch a picture. "Is it something like this?" She asked, showing off her sketch.

"Namine, that's a field of mushrooms." Riku said.

"Yeah, but it could be a kingdom of mushrooms too." Namine pointed out.

"What do you think this means?" Sora wondered.

"Well, if I were to wager a guess… I'm pretty sure Kairi decided to get high on mushrooms she found in the middle of the island and decided to name it the Mushroom King-" Riku elbowed Namine. "Mmph! …What?"

"Your imagination is truly a morbid place." Riku said.

"Perks of being a sketcher." Namine said with a not-so-innocent smile.

Sora sweatdropped. "Oooookaaaaay then." He said. "So what do you suppose this means?"

"It means… we'll have to look into this." Riku responded.

At Radiant Garden…

BGM: Radiant Garden (Kingdom Hearts III ReMind)

"Hmm…" Ienzo mused as he read the letter. "Interesting…"

"Do you know what it means?" Sora asked.

"If I'm not mistaken… it sounds like Kairi got taken to a new world." Ienzo guessed.

"A new world?" Riku asked.

I like my guess better. Namine thought.

Ienzo went onto the computer and started typing it up. "Mushroom… Kingdom…" He said. "Ah! Here we are. A land filled with wonder and adventure. There are a few heroes of the Mushroom Kingdom that saves their fair princess from a tyrannical monster."

"Let's take a look at this." Sora said as he decided to take a look. "What the… floating blocks? Flying turtles? Giant caterpillars and ladybugs?!"

"This world is something else…" Ienzo mused. "Perhaps Kairi went to this location. No idea why she would, but perhaps it was an opportunity to explore this world by herself."

"If there's a tyrannical monster in that world… then chances are, this monster more than likely kidnapped her." Riku said.

"Pffft! Yeah, as if that would work." Sora said. "Remember, she bit Xemnas's hand."

"True. But we can't be too sure. This monster might be someone we should be cautious about." Riku warned.

"Good point."

Ienzo turned to them. "So, let me ask you three. Do you want to go to the Mushroom Kingdom and try to find Kairi?"

"Yes!" All three nodded.

Ienzo chuckled. "I figured you might say that." He said. "Which is why you three came here at the most opportune moment."

"Oh?" Namine wondered.

"Yes." A voice spoke up as Even approached them. "We were working on a device that can help us get to worlds a lot faster. Ansem the Wise had just perfected it, but unfortunately, we weren't able to test it out. Demyx is nowhere to be found… if I were to guess, he's more than likely pestering Cid and Merlin."

"Which is why you will be able to test it out for us." Ienzo said.

"We're gonna be your guinea pigs?!" Sora said. "…Oh boy." He sweatdropped.

"Don't worry, it'll be harmless." Even said as he and Ienzo attached a device on their wrists.

"Now then, just punch in the coordinates to where you want to go and you should be able to get there in a snap." Ienzo said.

"Oh, nice!" Sora said as they punched in "Mushroom Kingdom" on their devices and then suddenly, all three of them started glowing before disappearing.

"Good luck, you three." Ienzo said and then turned his head to see Even having a perplexed look on his face. "Is something wrong?"

"I can't help but wonder if we had accidentally given one of them the faulty one." Even mused.

"Oooh… well, I'm sure they'll be alright." Ienzo said.

Meanwhile, at Mario's house…

"Mail call!" Parakarry called out and then flew away as Luigi walked out of the house and grabbed the mail.

"Bills, bills, an invitation to a birthday party…" Luigi said as he walked back into the house. "…Oh, something from Peach?" He wondered as he walked inside. "Hey bro, it's for you!"

"Oh?" Mario wondered as he took the letter. "From Peach!" He smiled and then opened it up.

"Dear Mario, I am here on vacation at Rogueport with Toadsworth, and I thought it'd be best if you and your brother came along! Enclosed in this letter is a map of Rogueport. Hope to see you soon! Love, Princess Toadstool - Peach."

"Rogueport?" Luigi looked at the map. "Huh, it sounds like fun."

"What do you say bro? Wanna go?"

"Of course! Let me pack my things!" Luigi said as he took off.

Mario smiled, then looked at the map in question and then pulled his cap down a bit. "Let's-a go."

At Toad Town…

BGM: Toad Town (Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story)

Riku and Namine appeared in the middle of Toad Town. "Whoa! Now that's some fast travel right there." Namine said.

"Yeah… wait, where's Sora?" Riku wondered. "Sora? Sora!" He called out… and then right on cue, Sora appeared, but had soot on his face and a little flame was on the tip of his hair. He even coughed out some smoke.

"Sora!" Namine exclaimed as she and Riku ran to him. "Why do you look so beat up?"

"Oh, ya know… apparently I warped to different worlds that I didn't mean to go to." Sora said. "First I went into a world where everyone can turn their weapons into different kinds… like apparently a scythe can turn into a sniper rifle… and then I went into another world where I met magical girls flying aroun and shooting magical things out of their hands. Almost got hit by a laser!"

"So… what caused you to be all… smoky?" Namine asked.

"Got caught in the crossfire of a hailstorm of missiles. Something about "Justice rains from above" or something." Sora said before shaking his body to get the soot off of him, then extinguished the small flame on his hair.

"Looks like you had an experience." Riku chuckled.

"Yeah… I've been through worse." Sora shrugged as they looked around, where they would see Toads wandering around, not even caring about the three new individuals that popped up out of nowhere.

"Huh… it is a kingdom full of mushrooms." Namine mused. "Just wasn't expecting sentient mushrooms though…"

"Okay, split up." Riku suggested. "Someone should have seen Kairi wander around town."

"You got it!" Sora nodded as they split up.

BGM: Super Mario Land Music Remix - Level 1 (Gaming Reinvented) (Start at 0:09)

Sora wandered into the town square and asked if anyone had seen Kairi around, but the Toads simply looked at him in confusion before shrugging it off. Sora let out a small sigh before continuing on through the town.

Riku wandered into a bakery, asking about Kairi but the baker shrugged before handing him a Mushroom Cake, much to his confusion.

Namine wandered into Coconut Mall and started asking where Kairi was at, before she spotted a shop inside the mall that caught her attention.

Mario's Paint Art Supplies! Get 'em while they last!

Namine let out a gasp, her eyes sparkling as she saw a shop next to it which was a clothing department. Her eyes got even more sparkly as she quickly ran toward the two shops.

Sora went into Mushroom Fields, wondering if Kairi wandered over there as he looked at a ? Block and curiously hit it where a Super Mushroom popped out and landed in his hands. He raised an eyebrow before putting it in his pocket and hit another ? Block soon after as a Fire Flower popped out and landed in his hands, this time giving it a more perplexed look.

Riku wandered into the Toad Town Police Force and asked the Toad cops if they've seen a red haired girl wandering around town. They all shook their heads with a "We haven't seen anyone like her" to which Riku walked out in disappointment.

Namine wandered out of the mall, wearing sunglasses over her head, a white T-Shirt with paint splatters on it along with an Inkling on the front of the shirt and was also wearing jeans that were a bit ripped at the knees and stylish shoes. She then took herself back to Destiny Islands to place her bags in her home before heading back to the Mushroom Kingdom… and went back to trying to find Kairi, only to get herseld distracted by a smoothie shop.

The moment Namine went in, she headed over to the counter and looked over at the menu of the many different flavors… but then Riku grabbed a hold of her arm and dragged her away while Namine helplessly tried to pry herself out of Riku's grip.

Sora sighed, wandering around the pier in Toad Town. "Sheesh… where can that crazy red head have gone?"

"You're looking for a red head?" A voice asked as Sora turned his head to see a Toad captain chilling by a boat.

"Yeah, of course!"

"I've seen a red head around. Did she look a bit… sassy? Having a pink skirt on her?"

"Well, I wouldn't say sassy, but yes." Sora nodded. "You've seen her?"

"She was just on my boat recently. I took her and Princess Peach on a ride… someplace known as Rogueport."

"Rogueport? Can you take me there?"

"Of course! Right this way." He said as Sora walked into the boat.

Maybe Ienzo was right, maybe she did want to explore the Mushroom Kingdom. Sora thought, sitting down on a chair. "Cozy…"

"Huh? You both want to go to Rogueport too? …Oh, she invited you? Sheesh, it's like everyone wants to go to Rogueport."

"Hmm?" Sora wondered, and right on cue, the Mario Bros walked in and got themselves comfortable.

"Aaaah, this is more like it." Luigi said.

"Yup." Mario nodded.

"Alright passengers, let's get ready to disembark!" The Toad Captain said as they went off to Rogueport.

"Hmm?" Mario turned to Sora. "Say, I haven't seen the likes of you before." He said.

"Oh? Oh, well uh… I'm not from around here. I'm from the big city and-"

"You're from another world, aren't you?" Luigi pointed out.

"Huh?! What makes you say that? I'm not from-"

"Your hair. Your clothing. Never seen anything like it." Luigi pointed out. "Not to mention your shoes."

Sora sweatdropped. "Do I really stick out like a sore thumb?"

"Yup, you do." Mario nodded.

"Ah, I wouldn't worry about it." Luigi said. "We see people like you all the time, so it doesn't phase us too much."

"Huh, I see…" Sora said. "Well, I'm here with a few friends searching for a friend who came to this world."

"A few friends?" Mario asked. "It looks like you came alone."

"Huh?!" Sora turned around. "…I thought for sure they were right with me!" He said before sweatdropping. "Oh dear… hope they won't get too worried."

"Ah, I'm sure your friends will be fine." Luigi said, waving it off.

"Yeah… you're right. They can handle themselves just fine without me." Sora grinned. "So, what are your names?"

"I'm-a Mario!"

"I'm-a Luigi, number one!" Luigi grinned before coughing. "Sorry, force of habit." He blushed.

Sora let out a chuckle. "I'm Sora!"

"Well, Sora… welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom." Mario said as the boat sailed off.

Back at Toad Town…

"I swear, those two are a pair indeed." Riku said, his arms folded and his foot tapping impatiently. "Take my eyes off of them for two seconds and they're nowhere to be found." He said.

"Coffee?"

"Huh?" Riku turned his head to see Namine holding two cups.

"The coffee here is pretty good… it's a blend of Super Mushroom, Fire Flower and Ice Flower. The latter is meant to cool the Fire Flower down, whatever that means." Namine said, taking a sip. "Mmm, delicious~!"

"And then there's you… who decided to go shopping."

"You know how I am with art supplies." Namine said, as Riku rolled his eyes. "You don't want it? Oh well, more coffee for me." She said as the two wandered around town.

"Seriously, how does one lose a spiky haired doofus when you're trying to find a red head…" Riku mumbled. "Do you know anythi-… Namine? Oh come on, NOW where did you go?"

"Riku, over here!" Namine called out as Riku turned to see her at a bulletin board as he walked over.

"What's up?"

"I think I might have a clue on where Kairi went." Namine said, nudging to a poster as Riku started to read it.

"Heroes wanted: Princess Eclair has been kidnapped by the Chestnut King! Please come to the Waffle Kingdom for more details - Minister Crepe"

"Perhaps Kairi wanted to go help and then Sora saw this and thought that Kairi needed backup!" Namine guessed.

"Hmm, you might be right… but I have no idea where it's at." Riku said and then noticed a map attached to the poster. "Oh, here it is. A map from here to the Waffle Kingdom." He then turned to Namine. "Well, if that's where Sora went, then we ought to go help."

"Yeah!" Namine nodded, finishing up her first cup of coffee and then started downing the second, causing Riku to sweatdrop.

How can she even stand that in one sitting? He thought as Namine threw them both away.

"Alright, I'm energized! Let's go!" Namine said excitedly.

Riku chuckled. "Right, let's head off." He said as the two walked off to the Waffle Kingdom together, completely unaware that's not where Sora was headed.

...Is it wise to chug down two cups of coffee in one sitting? I never drank coffee so I wouldn't know.
