"We just hit this, right?" Luigi asked as they nodded, then Luigi pressed the button as Grubba came up.
"Well boy howdy, fixin' for a fight, are ya? Well, have I got a fight for you! Your first opponent in the Glitz Pit is #20, The French Bulldog! Who do you think should go against this guy?"
"I'll go!" Mario said.
"Gonzales, I like that spirit of yours! Excellent! See you in the ring!" Grubba said and then it turned off.
"Wait, do we have a team name?" Sora spoke up.
"Uh… well, we could go with-"
The door opened. "Gonzales, match time, bub. Follow me."
"We'll think about it later." Mario said as he walked to the ring.
"Alright, ladies and gentleman! Today's match up, we got The Great Gonzales representing team…" Grubba paused for a minute. "…Team Sky!"
Team Sky? Mario thought as he approached the ring.
"Aaand in this corner, we have the man that has an impressive 1-99 record, give it up for Glass Joe, AKA the French Bulldoooog!"
"Voyons si je peux enfin augmenter mon score gagnant." (Let's see if I can finally up my winning score.)
"Let's-a go!" Mario said.
"Attends, tu as l'air familier..." (Wait, you look familiar…)
"Get yourselves ready to… BAAAAAATLEEEEE!"
BGM: Glass Joe (Punch Out! Wii)
Glitz Pit Fighter #20 - The French Bulldog (Glass Joe)
Glass Joe quickly punched at Mario, delivering several solid swings but Mario easily ducked these and delivered a strong uppercut to his jaw. "Mmmph!" He grunted in agony, stumbling around with a groan before he turned around and growled at him, quickly delivering a few swings but Mario rolled to his side. "Quoi?!" (What?!)
"Hiyah!" Mario jumped and did a flip kick to his jaw again, making him reel in agony before snapping out of it.
"Vive la France!" (Long live France!) He yelled and threw down a haymaker but Mario caught his glove.
"Sorry big guy…" He said and fire punched him in the face hard enough to knock him down to the ground.

"KNOCKOUT!" Grubba yelled. "Give it up for the Great Gonzales!"
Mario waved to the crowd as he walked back to the Minor League room. "So uh… I guess we're Team Sky then?" Sora asked.
"Apparently so." Koops nodded.
"Yooo!" A voice called out as they saw a Koopa approaching them. "That was a tight battle! Then again, it was Glass Joe… he's not much of a fighter. Name's King K, nice to meet ya, dawgs!"
"Nice to meet you too." Mario greeted.
"Maybe someday, we'll fight in the ring… but I'm warning ya, I'm not gonna go easy on ya."
"That's fair… it is a ring, after all." Vivian nodded.
"Exactly. But until then… good luck at the ring!" King K said as he walked off, and then Mario pressed the button on the GBA.
"Heeeey! How about that team name I came up for ya? Pretty cool, right?"
"I guess… but it could use a bit more… flair." Mario said.
"Ah, simplicity is best." Grubba chuckled. "Anywho, your next fighter is #19 in the Glitz PIt, the KP Koopas! Just to let ya know, this is a team of three, so I suggest you bring a team of three just to even things out. Just a suggestion though! Take care!"
"Well how about that, yo. You're fightin' yours truly!" King K chuckled. "May the best man win!"
"You too." Koops nodded and as they discussed who would be going, they went into the ring.
"Alriiiiight! For this match up, we have The Green Thunder, Sky Warrior and the Koopinator taking on the Shell Machines of Doom! Yeah, it's a fight to the finish with the KP Koopas!"
"Here we are, dawgs… now let's see which one of us reigns supreme!" King K said.
"Get yourselves ready to… BAAAATTLLLLLE!"
BGM: Rowdy Rumble (Kingdom Hearts II)
Glitz Pit Fighter #19 - The Shell Machines of Doom (King K and His Fellow Koopas)
King K and Koops lunged for each other, both of them slugging at each other as they jumped back, then King K jumped forward and delivered strong punches but Koops blocked these attacks and countered with an uppercut, knocking him back as Koops retreated into his shell and Shell Slammed into him. "Mmmph!" King K grunted. "Not bad!" He said as Koops got out of his shell, narrowly dodging an attack from King K.
Luigi jumped over to a KP Koopa, but it would move away and then countered by retreating into his shell and shot himself to Luigi, but the latter was prepared as he brought out his hammer. "Foooore!" He yelled, swinging it hard enough to send him flying into the Paratroopa, smacking him in the head as he was already stunned from Sora's Thundaga.
"Nice one! …Never thought I'd see a hammer be used as a golf club!" Sora chuckled, using Zantetsuken on the downed Paratroopa and other KP Koopa, knocking them down for the count.
"Wha?!" King K said in surprise, seeing his teammates were down and out.
"Hey buddy! Heads up!" Koops said, slugging him in the cheek before using a Shell Toss attack to finish him off.
"Aaaagh!" He groaned, falling on his back in defeat.

"We have a winner! Give it up for Team Sky!"
"Heheheh, who's the number one now? These guys!" Luigi said proudly.
Back at the minor leagues, King K rubbed his cheek. "You throw a mean punch… respect!"
"I didn't know I had it in me…" Koops admitted while blushing.
"Ah, let me teach ya few tricks. See, if you curve your punch like this-"
"Boy howdy, are you kids anxious for fights! I don't blame ya one bit. The hype goes through the roof!" Grubba said. "Now for your next match, you'll be fighting #18 in the Glitz Pit, The Purple Demon. Just a warning, this lady is quite feisty with her sword, and has some magic under her belt."
"I'll give it a shot!" Sora said.
"Alriiiight! See you in the ring!"
"You're going against her?" King K asked. "Just a fair warning, she has something up her sleeve that you won't see coming."
"Got ya. Thanks!" Sora said as he headed off once security arrived.
"Now for this match, we have The Sky Warrior going against the Pudding Enthusiast, a fight to the finish wiiiiith... Neptuuuuune!"
"Hi there~!" Neptune waved, readying her sword. "Awesome! It's anime vs anime!"
"Uh... what?" Sora tilted his head.
"Let's get ready to... BAAAAATTTLLLLE!"
BGM: One,Two,Three (Hyperdimension Neptunia V)
Glitz Pit Fighter #18 - The Purple Demon (Neptune)
Sora and Neptune rushed at each other, clashing their blades against each other until they jumped back as Sora used Firaga on her, but she rolled out of the way as quickly delivered swift attacks with her sword. Sora would block and then parry her, then went in for an Ars Arcanum attack that sent her away but she backflipped and landed on her feet to recover.
Neptune ran over, her sword bursting into flame. "Fire Edge!" She yelled, slashing down at him but he backflipped and then used Strike Raid, where Neptune would see his Keyblade thrown at her. "Whoa!" She ducked, and then Sora chuckled, snapping his fingers as a Thundaga hit her from above. "Gyaaaagh! …Oh wow, you can use magic without your sword? Awesome!"
Sora shrugged, resummoning it. "Eh, it's what we do." He said as he used Sonic Blade but Neptune jumped to the side as her sword turned to ice and slashed him, hitting him in the leg and freezing it solid. "Mmph! Uh oh…"
"Neptune Break!" She yelled, slashing him away as he was launched into the air but he Aerial Recovered and landed on his feet, then he Airstepped to her and used Aerial Slam to knock her to the ground, then used Aeroga to push her away.
"Sparks are flying here folks! I'm at the edge of my seat!" Grubba exclaimed.
"You're pretty fun to spar with!" Neptune smiled. "But now I believe it's time to mix things up a bit." She said as she closed her eyes. "Heeeere we goooooo!" She said, suddenly glowing.
"Ooooh! It looks like she's getting serious now!" Grubba said.

Is this the surprise that King K warned me about? Sora thought, readying his Keyblade and then Neptune stopped glowing, where she was more taller and more… robust. "HUH?!" Sora said in surprise.
"Say hello to Purple Heart, folks! She's looking to win this thing!" Grubba said.
Purple Heart aimed her sword at him. "I hope you don't mind, Sky Warrior… but I'm aiming to win this thing."
"Whoa…" Sora said before smirking. "Alright, if you want to go all out… then let's do this!" He said, switching to his Ultima and quickly going into his Wisdom Form. "Let's go!"
BGM: Voltage (Megadimension Neptunia VII)
The two rushed at each other, Purple Heart swiftly attacking him but Sora swiftly went to her side annd countered with an Aerial Slam, but she had blocked the strike when they were both in the air as she roundhouse kicked him away. Sora respoded by throwing a Blizzaga Pursuit at her but she blocked the magic spell as she jumped over, her blade crackling with electricity.
"Lightning Edge!" She yelled, but Sora blocked it, but he was pushed back as she swiftly slashed him away with fierce ferocity, but then Sora used Sonic Blade to counter her attacks and then used a point blank Blizzaga to knock her back, then she used Delta Slash, sending him sliding as he jumped back and used Ragnarok, as she would attempt to slice through them, only for some of them to hit her as Sora Airstepped to her and Aerial Slammed her from the smoke.
Sora would then skate around her, firing freezing and fire bullets at her but she would block these swiftly as she would then jump forward with a Victory slash, sending him away but he recovered and landed on the ground, smirking at Purple Heart. "I have to say… you're pretty agile!"
"You're no slouch either." Purple Heart responded as the two rushed at each other, both of them clashing with their blades while wind gathered around her blade and pushed him away with a Wind Edge attack, then went for another Victory Slash, but this time Sora blocked it and countered with a Sonic Blade.
Purple Heart slid back and then got into position as did Sora, both of them rushing ahead and then slashed at each other, only for Sora to parry her as he would proceed to use Eruption to knock her away and then unleashed Blizzaga at her feet to freeze her there. "Mmph! Uh oh…" Purple Heart whispered as she saw Sora used Zantetsuken to finish her off. "Aaagh!" She cried as she fell on her stomach, turning back to normal.

"KO! We have a winner! Give it up for the Sky Warrior!"
"Aww, I lost?" Neptune asked. "Aww… no biggie!" She grinned, happily hugging Sora.
"Oh!"
"Nice job!" Neptune smiled.
"Heh, you weren't bad yourself." Sora said, returning the hug.
With Kairi…
"…Suddenly, I feel like punching someone."
"Again?" Peach tilted her head.
Back at the Glitz Pit…
"See? Told ya she had something that'd surprise you." King K said.
"No doubt." Luigi nodded.
"Ah, it was no big deal… I'll get around to getting to the top eventually." Neptune said while Mario pressed the button.
"Hoo boy! You guys are hypin' up the crowd! You'll probably be more hyped than Rawk Hawk! Now then, for your next fight, you'll be fighting against #17 in the Glitz Pit, the Strong Snow Pixie."
"Snow?" Vivian perked up. "Put me in there!"
"Funny! I was just about to suggest you go in there." Grubba chuckled. "Now get in there and show the world what you're made of!"
"You got it!" Vivian nodded and then sunk underground, and then popped back up in the arena.
"Whoa, hold on!" Grubba exclaimed as he hopped onto the stadium. "Someone's eager!"
"Heheh… sorry…" Vivian said, blushing a little.
"Ah, it happens all the time. Don't worry about it!" Grubba smiled. "Now then, ladies and gentleman, representing Team Sky, we have the Burning Poltergeist going against the self-proclaimed Strongest Fairy of all time… give it up foooor… Ciiiirnoooo!"
"Hahaha!" Cirno came flying in. "I'm going to freeze you up solid just like I did with that Purple Demon!"
"Oooh, feisty!" Vivian said before her hands lit ablaze. "Hope you don't mind a little burn!"
"Get yourselves ready to… BAAAATTLLLLLEEEE!"

Glitz Pit Fighter #17 - The Strong Snow Pixie (Cirno)
"PERFECT FREEEEEZE!" Cirno yelled, covering the entire arena in a blizzard and then fired icicles on the ground. "Hahaha! You like that?" She asked and then landed on the ground, only seeing that she didn't impale anything. "Huh…?"
Vivian popped up from behind her, and fire punching her in the back. "Mmmph!" Cirno grunted and turned around, slashing her with an icicle, but she hit nothing as Vivian would pop up behind her and fire punched her again, doing this a few more times until Cirno had enough.
"Alright, that's it!" She said, flying up and impaling the ground with icicles everywhere. "There, that oughta hold you in place!" She said… and then Vivian's hands grabbed her feet and then pulled her under. "Wah!" She yelped… and then was knocked out of the shadows a few seconds later as she was burnt to a crisp.
"Ooogh… oooow…." She groaned before getting up. "Oh yeah?!" She yelled as she flew up. "Let's see you grabbing me from up here!" She smirked… unaware of the ground glowing orange underneath her as a plume of fire struck her from below. "GYAAAAAAAGH!" She yelled, falling to the ground in defeat.

"We have a winner! Give it up for the Burning Poltergeist!"
"Sorry about that…" Vivian said as she sunk underneath the ground and popped back up into the minor leagues.
"She outranked you?" Koops asked in surprise.
"Eheheh… that Perfect Freeze always gets me. I don't see well in thick blizzards…" Neptune admitted, rubbing her head while blushing.
"That's fair." Luigi nodded where Sora would push the button on the GBA.
"Hoo doggies! Your fights are getting better and better! Next up, you'll be fighting #16 in the Glitz Pit, the Fiery Magician."
"Fire? I'll go!" Mario said.
"Fighting fire with fire, I like it! Go get 'em!" Grubba said and with a nod, Mario ran to the arena.
"Alriiiiiight! Next up, we have the Great Gonzales going against the Majestically Fiery Fox… give it up foooor-" The sides of the arena lit up in flames as a creature walked through the fire. "Delphoooooox!"
"Del Del…" Delphox said, aiming her stick wand at him, where it immediately lit up.
"Oh boy…" Mario whispered.
"Let's get ourselves ready for a BAAAAATTLLLLLLEEEE!"
BGM: Battle! Gym Leader (Pokemon X/Y)
Glitz Pit Fighter #16 - The Fiery Magician (Delphox)
Delphox aimed her wand, unleashing Flamethrower on him but Mario would jump to the side as he ran over and punched the Delphox, but she stepped out of the way and hit him with a Psybeam, knocking Mario away but he recovered as she would do another Psybeam, but this time he pulled out his cape and swung it, directing it back to Delphox and struck her dead on, making her wince as Mario jumped over and punched her in the face.
"…Wait, what am I doing?" Mario wondered to himself as she retaliated with a Fire Spin but he jumped back and then reached into his pocket, pulling out FLUDD as he strapped him on… and then he proceeded to shoot her with water.
"Phoooox!" Delphox yelped.
"Why are you fighting a Pokemon?" FLUDD wondered.
"I'm wondering that myself." Mario responded. "Besides, this one isn't much of a physical fighter."
FLUDD sweatdropped. "I… suppose that makes sense." He said as he proceeded to shoot water, making Delphox growl and used Psychic on Mario, holding him in place before slamming him to the ground. "Mario! Professor E. Gadd has upgraded my Rocket feature. Use that!"
"If you say so!" Mario said, taking a jump back as he pressed a button, where FLUDD went into his Rocket Nozzle feature.
"You might want to duck your head a little." FLUDD said as Mario raised an eyebrow but ducked anyway as FLUDD aimed right at Delphox, who used Flamethrower on him… and then the Rocket shot off, going right through the flames as Delphox's eyes widened before slamming into her face, exploding in a watery explosion as Delphox landed on her back in defeat.
"Deeeeell…" She groaned with swirly eyes.

"Mama mia!" Mario exclaimed as the rocket returned to the nozzle as FLUDD turned back to normal.
"The Professor is truly a genius."
More like a whackadoodle… Mario thought.
"KO! Give it up for the Great Gonzales!" Grubba exclaimed as Mario walked back to the minor leagues.
"I gotta get me one of those." King K said.
"Same!" Neptune agreed where Sora would press the button on the GBA.
"It's getting better and better! Your next fight is #15 in the Glitz Pit, the Magical Mage Duo! Funny thing about these two, they come from different lands and yet, they decided to team up to back each other up! So who wants to fight these two?"
"You wanna go?" Sora asked Luigi.
"Sure, why not." Luigi nodded. "We'll go!"
"Alright! See you there!"
"Let's-a go!" Luigi said as they walked out… and then suddenly Cirno opened up the door.
"Guys! You gotta come see this! There's a wild egg bouncing around Glitzville!"
"Huh?" The group wondered as they walked off.
"Alrighty! For this next match, we have the Green Thunder and Sky Warrior going against the Magical Duo! Give it up foooor… Patchouli Knowledge and Lysithea!"
"So, we're fighting these two, I take it." Patchouli said.
"We can take 'em." Lysithea said.
"Let's-a go!" Luigi said as Sora readied his Keyblade.
"Let's get ready tooooo… BAAAATTLLLLEEEE!"

Glitz Pit Fighter #15 - Magical Mage Duo (Patchouli Knowledge and Lysithea)
Patchouli clapped her hands together. "Lava Cromlech!" She said, planting her hands on the ground as lava plumes rose from the ground and toward the duo as they quickly jumped to the side as Luigi jumped over to Patchouli and hammered her, but Patchouli would jump back while Lysithea would throw a fire spell at Luigi, but Sora jumped in and used Reflega to send it back, but Lysithea rolled out of the way.
"Miasma!" She called out, hitting Sora head on with poisonous particles.
"Rrrgh!" Sora grunted as Patchouli would aim her hand at Sora and hit him with danmaku that sent him away. He would quickly use Curaga on himself.
A healer… Lysithea thought. "Patchy, deal with the green one. I'll deal with the spiky haired kid."
"Right."
Lysithea aimed her hand and snapped her fingers, throwing a Lightning spell at him but he rolled out of the way and used Strike Raid at her. Throwing weapons?! Lysithea thought as she ducked and responded with a Miasma attack, but Sora rolled out of the way as he ran over and slashed her, knocking her back as she backflipped right after… and then hit Sora with a Nosferatu.
"Gah!" Sora winced as Lysithea healed herself up.
"Much better." Lysithea said, glancing over at Patchouli who was struck by a Lightning bolt from Luigi. "Here you go!" She said, using a Heal spell on her.
Aha! Sora thought, using Curaga on Luigi as he then turned to Lysithea and Airstepped to her.
"Wha?!" Lysithea said in surprise as she was Aerial Slammed to the ground, but then Lysithea landed on her feet and then snapped her fingers, where Sora found himself surrounded by insects that attacked him all around, then Lysithea would strike him with an Arcfire.
Sora was knocked back, quickly using an Esuna as he used Ars Arcanum on her, knocking Lysithea back as she stood her ground, where in a brief moment, Sora would see her glowing. "You'll regret this!" She yelled, unleashing Dark Spikes on him.
"Aaaagh!" Sora yelped, as he was knocked back while wincing as Lysithea would throw a few fireballs at him. He would bat them away, using Curaga on himself and then used Ragnarok on her.
"Haaaah!" Lysithea clapped her hands and unleashed Hades Omega on him, both of their attacks colliding hitting each other, both of them getting severely damaged. "Nnngh!"
"Rrrgh!" Sora winced as he rushed toward Lysithea as she would warp behind him and cast Luna on him, but Sora would turn around and dodge rolled out of the way and then used Graviga on her.
"Mmmph!" Lysithea winced as Sora used Zantetsuken to send her flying back. "Aaaagh!" She exclaimed. "…If I'm going… you're going with me…" She weakly said, snapping her fingers as he was hit by another Hades spell.
"Lysithea!" Patchouli exclaimed, as she turned to see that Lysithea and Sora were both knocked out for the count. Crud! She thought and turned toward Luigi… only to get hit with a Misfire that hit her right in the stomach, making her hunch over in pain before he used a Super Jump Punch that knocked her high into the air before landing on her back in defeat.

"KO! We have a winner! Team Sky!"
Luigi picked up Sora, wrapping his arm around him. "Come on, big guy. Let's go." He said as he walked over to the minor league room.
Outside…
"SUCH A NAUGHTY EGG!" Hoggle yelled as an egg hopped around.
"I got it!" Neptune dove for it, but it bounced away and then bounced on her head. "…I don't got it."
"I'll freeze you up!" Cirno said, firing iceballs at it but the egg bounced away and smacked her in the face. "Ooof!" She grunted as Mario and Koops dove for it, only to smack into King K who also dove for it.
"Yowch!" King K yelped.
"I've never seen an egg so lively before!" Koops said as it bounced in front of them, seemingly taunting them… but then Vivian popped up and grabbed the egg.
"Got ya!" Vivian said as the egg bounced in surprise… before suddenly nuzzling against Vivian. "Oh! Aww…" She giggled and then turned to Hoggle. "Mind if I keep it?"
"Eh, sure… no one would want a bouncing egg for their breakfast anyway." Hoggle said.
"Thank you! Come on, little one!" Vivian smiled as she walked(?) back into the Glitz Pit.
"Eh, I guess that'll work." King K shrugged as they walked inside, unaware of what just happened in the arena.
Funny enough, Patchouli was gonna be by herself and Lysithea was gonna be the one after her but I thought "Wait, Patchy's frail with her anemia and asthma... she would need some assistance. ...Wait, Lysithea!" and thus, the tag team was born.
I would've had this up yesterday, but Monster Hunter Stories 2 came to my house. My first Monster Hunter game in general and... I can see why people love Monster Hunter. The RPG elements in Stories makes me feel right at home!
