C. 17: Escalating quickly

Blake was completely paralysed. Her body simply refused to move an inch. Was this what pure terror felt like? Or was it just a life filled with way too much tuna finally catching up to her? Either way infiltrating the white fang had proven itself to be a very bad idea for a multitude of reasons.

One of those reasons was definitely her ex showing up with a plan including blowing up large parts of Vale. What made that even worse was the fact he had recognized her within the first few seconds of him entering the room. And to top it all off he was now quickly moving towards the coach she and her teammates were sitting on which very likely would lead to her secrets being exposed to the people that she had grown to deeply care about.

"Uhmm, is it just me or is he staring at Blake?" Ruby whispered while leaning towards her teammates. Incidentally pulling Blake out of her ever expanding self created whirlpool of misery and misfortune just as Adam Taurus stopped right in front of their couch.

"So Blake, care to explain why you've decided to come back?" He finally asked. His eyes were stern but showed some form of excitement. Blake responded with a look of disgust.

"Uhm Blake…Do you two know each other?" Yang asked. She was doing a good job at looking extremely confused. Which she was.

"Oh! So you've gotten some new friends Blake. Mind telling me why they're wearing costumes? Did you miss the fang so much you made your human friends play dress up?" Adam asked with such hostility in his voice that it practically poisoned the air.

Blake gritted her teeth as she received several confused and nervous looks from her team. Of course their disguises wouldn't have fooled Adam. He could always spot a human from miles away, so why wouldn't he be able to tell if someone was wearing some fake feathers?

"Your Friends look very confused. Is it because I saw through your petty disguises? Or is it because you haven't told them about who you are?" Adam continued, earning Blake even more confused and now worried looks from her teammates. At that very moment she would have done everything to just be able to melt away into a small little puddle, but that sadly wasn't an option.

"I am done with you and the white fang Adam!" She said as she clutched hard to Gambol shroud. Trying desperately to ignore the shocked faces she had caused. She did not even dare to look in Weiss' direction. She knew very well her time with team RWBY might be over, but still she'd be damned if she didn't get them out of this mess first.

Roman was sitting in his office with his feet on his desk. Currently he was throwing cards into his signature bowler hat which was currently resting on the floor on the other side of the room. It was also embarrassingly devoid of cards even as the piles around it grew more and more. He would like to blame his current complete lack of aiming skill on the fact he was nervous about whatever trouble his least favorite team might be up to, but in this case that would be a lie. Roman was just generally awful at throwing cards. That was painfully clear after the 624th card had flown across the room.

Just as his frustration was growing to what might have been record levels someone knocked on the door. Roman shouted a quick "Come in." And none other than Blondie himself entered.

"Roman.. Didn't you promise me some extra lessons today?" The blackmailing boy that had someone grown on Roman said.

"Blondie, can't you see I'm busy here?" Roman said with as much hostility as he could muster as he pointed to the absurd amounts of cards scattered around the floor. "Could I try once?" Blondie asked with an innocent tone. Roman just waved to him to go ahead.

Jaune stepped up, took a card and walked over to Roman. He then proceeded to pick it up and threw it straight into the bowler hat.

"Blondie, I'll give you three seconds to run, then that training starts whether you like it or not.." All worries were gone from Romans mind. Those brats could take care of themselves. Right now he had a blonde to murder.

Jaune wasted no time and started running.

As Ruby swung Crescent Rose at two white fang members in the now war torn basement she couldn't help but wonder how it all had escalated so quickly. What had begun as quite the nice evening, At least nice by white fang standards had somehow managed to become a flat out brawl.

Weiss and Ruby had quite quickly started disposing of the white fang grunts. Perhaps it wouldn't have been that hard in a regular open environment but when contained in a basement her baby wasn't quite as effective. However that didn't offer much help to the white fang grunts who had to face its wrath.

Yang and Blake had engaged with the terrorist Blake had called Adam. Ruby knew that her sister and her teammate were some of the most powerful people in their year. But Ruby had a hard time not thinking they were losing. And they were losing really badly.

Yang looked badly bruised, and Nussgipfel by the state of her opponent he had either dodged her semblance or she'd been too afraid of the basement collapsing on them to use it. Blake who was a more speed and agility reliant fighter didn't seem to be fast enough.

Thinking about Blake Ruby couldn't help but feel utterly confused. The way she spoke to Adam and… Blake said something about not going back to the white fang, and wouldn't that mean she had been in it? Had Blake been in the white fang? Why hadn't she told them? Why couldn't things just be simple anymore? Ruby had not been this confused since Weiss lied to her and said that drinking milk was not as effective as Ruby thought it was.

Ruby just hoped that team RWBY together could take on this new foe. If not they needed backup, immediately.

Her pleas must have been answered, because just as she looked over towards Yang and Blake a familiar pink girl stood between them and their foe.

"That's Professor Candles weird assistant! We're saved!" Ruby exclaimed. The weird assistant in question sent an I-Will-Murder-You glare towards Ruby upon being called a weird assistant, but that went straight over Ruby's head.

Adam looked positively pissed. His face twisted with even more rage than what he had shown before as he spoke.

"So, you finally crawl back out from Beacon you filthy human scum. Just go back to your master."

Neo simply took a mock bow and the room suddenly warped around them. Right afterwards the entirety of team rwby suddenly found themselves in a Beacon office. What made that even stranger was Jaune on the floor in one corner, and with professor candle looking extremely smug behind his desk.

Neo waved slightly as she shattered into glass. Leaving a group of very confused people behind her.

Well here we are again. This time with a random segment of Roman and jaune thrown into the mix. -OMAKE-

Ozpin, headmaster of Beacon, was laying nearly passed out on his desk. He had a problem. Compared to it all other problems he had ever faced seemed like petty insects. Salem was nothing compared to the implications of this. Even the brother gods themselves couldn't frighten and destroy him as this had.

The coffee machine in his office was broken.

"Glynda. Please call in mister torchwick! It's a matter of life and death!" He finally managed to get out of himself, but it was a drain on the small amount of energy he had left. Luckily for him he knew Glynda would be able to perform the task.

As the criminal stepped into the room Ozpin knew he could not afford to waste time. The coffee machine had to be replaced after all, and there was only one other that could possibly fill it's place.

"Torchwick, listen to me. I do not have much time left. So please do not interrupt me" The headmaster said with a tired voice. Torchwick raised an eyebrow.

"You must steal something for me. And it is a matter of life and death that you succeed." Ozpin could feel the last of the brown liquid was leaving his blood. "On the table.. you have all you ne…"

The headmaster couldn't finish the sentence, for he had passed out on his desk.

The criminal mastermind stepped forth, and began reading the document on the table. He was insanely confused, but why not go along with it?
