Chapter Two: Competition
Tsukune Aono was a very average student, getting quite average grades and being average in his athleticism. That all changed however, when he met a definitely not average girl, Moka Akashiya.
Even in his dreams, she was still beautiful, a rare gem among humans; except she wasn't. Moka Akashiya was a vampire, proven to Tsukune shortly after they'd met. It was a near horrifying thing to see her drink the blood of the student council president. It was also somehow scarier that she didn't drink his blood with her teeth like she had with him, instead choosing to do it like a vampire from Jojo's Bizarre adventure.
Of course, Moka had said she did it that way because she didn't like the scent of his cologne, which was understandable. But, it had scared Tsukune enough to consider running away. But then, he thought, neither she nor I would have any real friends.
Of course, on the week after he'd discovered she truly was a scary vampire, he had gone to her house, having walked her home. A man she called Father, but wasn't really had answered the door, greeting him.
"Sir, I'm bringing Moka home," Tsukune looked at the man, noticing his religious attire.
"Oh, I'm glad you have brought my little ray of sunshine," The priest gestured them in. "I usually worry when she's not home soon after school."
"Our teacher gave some boring talk about a club or whatever," Moka said. "She wanted us to join one, but I haven't really given it a thought before."
"Same," Tsukune shrugged.
"Well, I think you two would enjoy a club together. Something that would show your strengths and allow you to make even more friends."
"But, only Tsukune smells good." Moka spoke up.
"Child, I know you trust him because he can unlock your true powers, but it's not good to only have one friend in your life. Especially with your life."
"You always say that, but I haven't met anyone like Tsukune," Moka crossed her arms.
"Well, I have confidence you'll at least find someone else to call friend." The priest placed a hand on her head. "When your parents entrusted me with caring for you, I didn't think I could handle raising an untrained vampire child."
"You know about Moka?" Tsukune chimed in.
"Of course," The priest smiled. "But, as someone who looks at intentions, I do not see evil in Moka. She is a very sweet, if not a bit clumsy child."
"I'm not that clumsy," Moka crossed her arms with a pout, looking the other way.
"Well, either way, Moka has been a big help. While I don't really approve of her father's choice in women, I suppose he'll have to learn that one the hard way."
"I don't get it," Tsukune tilted his head slightly.
"My dad's got two wives," Moka held up two fingers. "And, I have three sisters. Two are from stepmom and I'm my mom's only kid."
"I don't think I could handle more than one woman chasing after me," Tsukune let out a breath.
"Well, I'll only suck enough blood for one then," Moka grinned.
"Moka, be good," The priest sighed. "Now, as you're aware, I'm going on my trip to visit my relatives in Italy. You are to behave. And, also make sure you feed Alucard."
"Okay, Father," Moka said, leaping onto him and giving him a hug. "Be safe and I'll see you when you get back."
"I'm not leaving until a couple of days from now," The priest pat her on the head. "But, you be good. I've left emergency numbers on the fridge and there should be enough food for you until I get back."
"Okay," Moka said. "Have fun."
"I will," The priest chuckled, standing up and returning to his room. "You children behave now. I don't need to hear about someone getting in trouble at school because they were assaulted by a vampire."
The two high schoolers sat in the living room, sipping on soda. Moka's was cherry flavored and Tsukune's watermelon. They talked for a bit until Tsukune had to go. He went home, his mother greeting him at the door.
"How was school, sweetie?" She asked, gesturing him inside. "Your father's on a business trip, but he wanted me to ask why you were getting home so late."
"I'll bet he was with that Mako chick," Kyoko, Tsukune's sister/cousin piped up from the table, eating a yogurt.
"Her name's Moka," Tsukune said.
"And, she's a very nice girl," Kasumi added. "I've never met a sweeter girl."
"She's throwing herself on him, mom," Kyoko said, standing up. "I think she's a floozy."
"That word died in my generation, dear. But, Moka is just very friendly. I know some people who were also that way. It's a family thing."
"Yeah, but neck kisses aren't."
"Neck kisses?"
"Yeah, I always see Tsukune getting neck kisses from her."
Tuskune's face went red as he instinctively put a hand to his neck in worry there was a mark.
"How would you know?" He asked.
"Oh, I'm watching you from the bushes," Kyoko said. "I don't trust her. Something's off."
"Moka is an angel," Kasumi sighed. "I'm sure there's a logical explanation."
"Well, how come every time she does it, Tsukune always collapses?"
"Perhaps he's weak to a woman's touch," Kasumi giggled at Tsukune's shock.
"I-I'm not weak to her touch!" Tsukune countered. "She's just really nice. She's a great friend."
"She's got something going on about her. Her locker's full of bat stuff."
"She likes bats," Tsukune said. "She has a pet bat too. She named him after her grandfather, Alucard."
"That's a weird name," Kyoko said.
"It's probably not so weird where he's from," Kasumi nudged her gently. "Well, Tsukune, how about you get ready for dinner and we'll eat?"
Tsukune nodded, grabbing himself a plate and glass, sitting down next to Kyoko.
"You smell like perfume," Kyoko leaned over, sniffing his neck. "So, how close is that weirdo with you? You never talk much about school."
"It's just a school," Tsukune said. "One that is considering putting in mandatory dorm stay."
"Better not raise my damn tuition," Kasumi sat down. "I'd have just sent you to where I went if that was the case. Much cheaper alternative."
"Wasn't there a rumor your school was haunted?" Kyoko asked.
"Merely a rumor," Kasumi waved it away. "Place wasn't haunted. Only creepy things in there were the safety patrol. But, that's a story I don't feel like telling."
"You don't talk much about your high school at all," Kyoko tilted her head.
"Not much to tell. But, how about we eat some dinner?"
Dinner was quiet, Tsukune heading to bed after watching a little TV. Kasumi waved him goodnight when he went to bed, blowing him a kiss. He walked to his bed, flopping down. Sleep soon claimed him, allowing him to rest for school the next day.
The next morning, the teenager awoke to an odd weight on his chest. He blinked himself awake, looking up to see the pink hair of one Moka Akashiya draped over him, the vampire passed out on his bed.
"M-Moka!" He exclaimed, both in shock and alarm at seeing her on his bed. Kasumi burst into his room, a stance like a fighter, eyes widening as she saw Moka.
"Moka, sweetie, are you okay?" She shook her awake, Moka muttering something.
"Mmm, Tsukune, your blood is so good. Why yes, I'd love to take a double dip. Just gotta get a good spot to nibble."
"Moka, you're passed out on Tsukune's bed. Please wake up so you can get to school."
"I knew she was weird," Kyoko ran in, pointing accusatorily.
"She has anemia," Kasumi glanced back. "Now, get me those iron pills, a glass of water, and those herbs in the fridge."
"What are those anyway?"
"Health supplements. I take it with water and it helps me process nutrients better at my age. But, right now, it will help her with water."
"How so?"
"It will allow her to get this iron pill down so she can wake up a little quicker."
Kyoko obeyed, questioning that. She walked down to the kitchen picking up the herbs, looking at them.
"Weird herbs," She muttered. "I wonder what they actually are."
She brought them along with the glass of water and the iron pills. Kasumi took them, dropping two of the pills and a small pinch of the herbs into the water, shaking the glass a little so the pills would dissolve.
Moka began to stir, Kasumi placing the drink in front of her.
"Drink up, sweetie," She smiled. "It'll help with that anemia."
"O-Oh, I, uh, I have trouble drinking water." Moka sat up weakly.
"This won't hurt. I added a little something to settle your stomach."
Moka took the glass, trying to be nice, and gingerly looking into it. She noticed the herbs, giving Kasumi a suspicious look, a questioning look. She drank the water, pausing as she did so to look at it. She finished the water, the dissolved iron pill giving her a bit of strength to sit up.
"I'm sorry, Mrs. Aono," She yawned. "I didn't know what came over me. I just passed out."
"You gotta be more careful, Moka," Tsukune sighed. "By the way, can you guys all get out of my room so I can get dressed?"
"I've seen everything there is to see," Kyoko snickered, pointing at Tsukune. "Ain't nothin' there I don't already know."
"Kyoko, let's all give him time to get dressed before the bus comes." Kasumi escorted Kyoko and helped Moka out of the room. Tsukune stood up and got dressed, walking out to see the still tired looking Moka sitting at the table, devouring a plate of eggs.
"You sure have an appetite," Tsukune laughed.
"I am Moka Akashiya, liberator of eggs from their captivity in the fridge," Moka's mouth was full as she spoke these words, causing Kasumi to let out a laugh.
"I certainly knew someone in high school that acted the same way. Now, Tsukune, how about you eat so you can get to school with Moka?"
"Okay," Tsukune sat down, Kyoko trying to steal some eggs from his plate, Tsukune having to switch back and forth from eating to keeping Kyoko and later Moka from stealing his eggs and bacon. Once he'd finished, he had enough time to put his plates in the sink before they had to get going.
"Bye, Mrs. Aono," Moka waved.
"Bye, Moka dear," Kasumi waved back. "Bye, Tsukune. Be safe you two. I don't want to have to come over there for any of you."
"We'll be good," Moka promised.
"You had better be. Don't get into any fights. I heard of some incidents the other day and I don't want you two getting hurt."
"We'll be fine, mom. Bye now."
The two left, Kyoko going to the door and looking out.
"Kyoko, stop spying on your brother. He's fine."
"There's definitely something off about her."
"Leave the poor girl alone, Kyoko. She's already got enough problems with making friends as it is. Do you really want her to not feel safe here?"
"How do you know she has trouble making friends?"
"I was a teenager once. I can tell when someone finds someone they consider a genuine friend. Moka has that in Tsukune, so let them be."
"I'm going to follow them."
Before Kasumi could protest, she was already out the door.
"Tsukune, that was weird earlier," Moka said to her best friend.
"Kyoko's always been overprotective, ever since we were kids," Tsukune reassured her. "She'll warm up to you soon."
"Yeah, but I was talking about your mom," Moka said. "She had the exact herbs I use to make water purified to drink."
"Wait, you can't drink water?" Tsukune asked. "Is that why you didn't want to go to the pool?"
"Yeah. But, back to your mom."
"Those herbs help with digestion. My mom's had digestive problems ever since she was pregnant with me. So, she takes it in her water with her food to aid in digestion."
"Yeah, my mom did say it was also good for that. Well, she knew to give me iron."
"She thinks you have anemia."
"Oh yeah. Speaking of anemia…"
"What about ane—" That was all Tsukune got out as she bit him on the neck with a cute little 'chu' sound, beginning to suck his blood.
"Mokaaaaaa…" He muttered. Kyoko, unbeknownst to the pair, was watching from the bushes behind them.
"Really weird girl… what's she hiding? And, what is it with her and neck kisses?"
The two arrived at the school, walking into the gates of Youkai Private Academy, looking around to see the student body. However, there was someone else standing there in front of them.
This particular someone was a girl their age, standing in front of them and striking a pose almost like a heroine proclaiming victory over their enemy. She wore a light tan sweater vest over a white, long sleeved shirt, which covered her upper body, including her quite large breasts that would make even adult women jealous. She wore knee high socks under dress shoes and a skirt that was shorter than Moka's, but still in school dress code (Moka had often tried to ask to have it be made longer because she was a little on the taller side). Her hair was a light aqua blue color, tied back in a ponytail that was held by a red ribbon. Her eyes were a lilac color, piercing with some conviction, though considering the students at this school, it could be anything from some perverted deviancy to some noble 'act of god'.
"Moka Akashiya!" She called out like some hero of justice. "You've been the bane of my existence here at this school for far too long! All of these boys chasing after you, especially that one! How dare you take that privilege away from me?!"
"So, how did you do on that English test?" Moka asked Tsukune, both having turned to face each other.
"Oh, I got a C," Tsukune said. "But, without your help, I would have gotten worse and my mom would be mad. When she's mad, she's scarier than even you."
"They're ignoring me…" The girl said to herself, her finger she was pointing with drooping as a slight pout crossed her face. "They're really ignoring me… after my cool speech and everything. I practiced that for hours in front of the mirror last night."
"I, uh, *gulp* don't think I ever want to see her mad then."
"Yeah, it's scary. But, she's got her temper in check, so I've never been really afraid of her."
"Your mom's the best… I mean, except for my moms of course."
"Well, I'm sure she'd be glad to hear that. She knows you like her cooking."
"Stop ignoring me!" The blunette stomped her foot, fists clenched. "I spent way too much time on this to be ignored when I'm challenging your throne as the hot girl on campus!"
"I loooove her cooking," Moka cupped her hands to her face, practically drooling at the thought of it. "It's almost as good as you, Tsukune. My mom can't even cook eggs that good."
"That's it!" The girl stomped over to them, shoving her way in between Tsukune and Moka, staring up at Moka. Seeing her up close, one could see that Moka had a good five inches on her. Of course the girl stood on tiptoes, getting in Moka's face… or at least as close as she could with her breasts getting in the way.
"Don't ignore me, you cotton candy concubine!" She shouted, pointing her finger in Moka's face. "I'm talking to you! Didn't your mother ever teach you to pay attention to someone who's talking to you?!"
"Uh, my mom said that it's rude to get up in people's faces." Moka leaned back, stepping backward. "Wh-Who are you anyway? I don't think we've met."
"Remember my name, Moka Akashiya!" The girl said, stepping back and continuing her pose. "For, it is the name of the one who took your title as hottest girl in school: Kurumu Kurono!"
"Well, that's a nice name," Moka said. "It sounds pretty."
"Stop patronizing me!" The girl, Kurumu shouted, stomping her foot like a child having a tantrum. "I'm sick and tired of this! I'm taking your spot as hottest girl in school! Soon, every boy will be crowding around me and I will finally be known as the hottest girl here!"
"I mean, go ahead," Moka shrugged. "I don't want a bunch of weirdos chasing after me anyway. They're all weird."
"You're just trying to soften me up, get me to let my guard down so I'll just give up and you can keep your title!" Kurumu pointing an accusatory finger at her before beginning to grope her own breasts. "Well, joke's on you, these puppies are already soft!"
"But," She glanced over to Tsukune, who seemed genuinely confused at the exchange between the two women, trying to remember if he'd ever seen her before or if she was new. "Since you are underestimating me, I suppose I'll have to show you I mean business."
"How dense are you?!" Moka stomped her own foot. "I told you I don't care!"
"Lies from the temptress," Kurumu pointed, giving Tsukune a wink. "Hey, big boy, how's about you come with me?"
"Ugh, we don't have time for this," Moka groaned in frustration, taking Tsukune's hand. "Come on, Tsukune. We'll be late for class."
"Sorry, loser," Tsukune spoke in a drawl, walking over to Kurumu and putting an arm around her. "I'm hanging with this hot girl now."
"Ha HA!" Kurumu pointed at Moka once again. "Do you not see my charms an how I will be the hottest!? Take that, Moka Akashiya!"
"Ts-Tsukune?" Moka asked. "What are you doing?"
"Hanging out with the hotter girl," Tsukune continued in his drawl, staring straight ahead.
"Oh, stop it," Kurumu put her hands to her cheeks. "You'll make me blush. Now, come on, big boy, let's go to class and you can give me a nice massage."
"Okay," Tsukune muttered as they walked away, Tsukune's arm still around Kurumu. Moka stood there, in shock as she watched. She clenched her fists and eyes shut, looking down.
"Well, go ahead then!" She shouted as she tried to make herself angry. "Hang out with that big breasted bimbo! See if I care, you big jerk!"
She stomped off the other way, taking a different way into the school, blinking back her tears. Unbeknownst to her, she had a snoop in the bushes with binoculars.
"Something's off with that girl too," Kyoko muttered, watching. "Why would Tsuki do that? I should follow that girl instead. Moka can wait. Tsuki's in more danger from that weird girl. Problem is I can't follow them into class."
Moka made it to her class, sulking as she sat down. The air of the room seemed different. Everyone noticed her changed demeanor. She put her head on her desk, covering it with her arms.
"What's up with her?" One student asked.
"Beats me," Another replied. "She's not with that loser, Aono, though. Maybe they finally broke up."
"Aw, hell yeah, she's available!" The sound of a high five could be heard.
"You guys are assholes." A different voice said as the sound of metal impacting skulls could be heard. A clattering sound resounded as something was dropped to the ground.
"Hey, gorgeous," The third voice said, walking over to Moka, the owner tilting sideways to be parallel to Moka's head. "Couldn't help but notice you were upset. Wanna talk about it?"
Moka lifted her gaze slightly to see the eyes of a student that was at least four years her junior. She was wearing a pointed black hat, which somehow stayed on her head despite her current angle. She was dressed in the skirt that was in the school uniform, but her shirt was a sort of cross between a gothic look and a witch, being purple with white shoulder coverings, a little yellow bow holding it together. She even had a black cape. Black hair brushed past purple that stared at Moka with adoration and a strange… lusty look. But, Moka chose to overlook that for the moment.
"No," She muttered, turning her gaze downward. "I don't."
"Well, sometimes, when you don't want to do something, you gotta do it."
"*sigh* if you're so insistent, meet me at lunch." Moka muttered, covering her face fully.
"Yes!" The girl fist pumped. "Score! I mean, uh, I won't forget. I'll help you feel better."
Moka actually found that a little cute. Clearly this girl was trying to cheer her up, so she was at least going to be nice and let her try. It couldn't hurt. Maybe that's why Tsukune left… she was too mopey?
Moka let class go by, ignoring the teacher's attempts to get her to respond. She trudged to her next class, stopping stone cold as she saw Kurumu with Tsukune. Tsukune was carrying her through the hall. Moka felt several emotions at this, mainly hurt at Tsukune acting like this and surprise that he could lift her weight. Even though she was shorter than Moka, she couldn't weigh a whole lot less and he didn't even seem to be breaking a sweat.
"Oh, Moka," Kurumu noticed her, waving at her. "I'm enjoying taking your crown. Also, this guy is pretty strong. You sure know how to pick 'em."
Moka turned away, huffing as she tried to keep her pride intact in front of Tsukune, watching as all the boys flocked toward this huge honkered harlot. They all seemed to be acting like Tsukune was, but Moka was more concerned with making it to lunch to just cry her problems away off in her little quiet corner.
"Moka!" A childish voice alerted her to her surroundings, the girl from earlier waving her over to a different table. Moka, remembering her decision from earlier, sat down at her table.
"Yay, you came!" The girl smiled wide. Moka felt a little pang at her heartstrings, a feeling she only got when something was cute. "So, I'll bet you're upset about that cute boy you were with."
"*sigh* I suppose I am," Moka blinked back the tears. "I just… didn't pit him for the type to act that way."
"You haven't noticed the rest of the male student body doing similar?" The girl asked, pointing around her.
Moka stopped to think about this. It did seem odd earlier when she'd seen them all walking toward Kurumu.
"But, I suppose you were only concerned about the one. The one that really mattered."
"He said some hurtful things… Things I didn't think he would ever say to me."
"But, his actions were normal when he was all over that hussy?"
"Well, no, but I haven't known him forever… he may be acting like that." Moka looked down, finding a strange interest in her shirt buttons at the moment.
"You mean, acting like a zombie over someone who declared herself the hottest girl in school and said she would take your position is normal?"
"Well, no, but…"
"Then, why are you holding it against him? I mean, clearly something's going on. You just need to figure out what it is."
"What it… is? But, what could that be?"
Moka looked up to find herself at an empty table, the girl nowhere to be seen. Moka had to question herself as to having seen the girl at all. She didn't even get her name after all.
She got up from the table, looking around for the girl. It wasn't like she could just up and disappear. Even if she happened to be a witch, which made no sense because no witch would be stupid enough to advertise themselves like that, the pink haired vampire would have sensed a spell. Even the most basic of spells gave off a smell of magic.
She trudged out of the lunchroom, walking face first into Kyoko. Both fell backwards onto their backsides, Moka grabbing her head.
"Owww." She muttered. "Wait, you're Kyoko. What are you doing here?"
"Looking for you," Kyoko stood up and helped her up. "I'm going to find that Kurumu chick. Something's going on here and I'm trying to get to the bottom of it."
"I… I think that's a start." Moka said. "The girls dorms are that way. We can try there to see if we can get any information on her. There's a chance she's controlling Tsukune's mind."
"I like the way you think," Kyoko said. "I still think you're weird and I'm going to figure out your secret, but to save Tsuki, I'm willing to work together."
"Shake on it?" Moka gave a small giggle, holding out her hand.
"Fine," Kyoko took her hand, shaking it firmly. "Seriously, you are quite strong. But, let's go to the dorms and find out what this harlot is hiding."
At the girls' dorms
"Ooh, finally, I got me a cute one," Kurumu grinned, fist pumping to herself as she walked back to her own dorm with Tsukune. "I can finally see what it's like to cuddle and hug someone and whatever else there is to do as couples. Let's check this one off the list."
From her vest pocket, she pulled out a sheet of paper with several items on it. The first thing she checked off the list was a box labelled 'test out powers'. Following that one were unchecked boxes labelled 'get a boyfriend (to get mother off back)', 'find out why the headmaster's assistant has so many ropes and weird things in her desk (Sherlock Holmes time)', and finally 'practice vampire defeating techniques (never know when you'll encounter one)'.
"Finally, I can get mother off my back about getting a boyfriend," She sighed, lowering Tsukune to her bed, cracking her back. "Jeez, what's with her? 'Kurumu, have you gotten a boyfriend yet?' 'Kurumu, how large of a man can you handle?' 'Kurumu, have you put those massive tits to good use yet?' Though, judging by this boy here, he must be the biggest I can handle. Like, jeez, he's super heavy… maybe I need to work out more. Oh well. Time to kick back with my new charmed servant and get a nice, deep massage."
Nearby
Kyoko and Moka snuck through the school dorms, hoping no one had seen them. Kyoko had never been to this school and Moka didn't stay in the dorms, so neither had any idea what security was like. For all they knew, they could be gigantic meatheads who could use them as a pair of basketballs. Or, they could be cute little lolicons who can use their cuteness to make people behave… Nah, probably the meatheads.
If Moka remembered correctly, which she did, that big titted bimbo who took Tsuki away was called Kurumu. All the two of them had to do was look for a Kurumu on the dorm and they'd have their culprit. All at once, however, it occurred that none of the doors had names on them. There were numbers, but no names. Kyoko cursed her own stupidity at this notion, having hoped to have it easy to plan her daring rescue of her brother, just like old times.
Of course, she had to find him first… which was the hard part. At least, she hoped that was the hard part. Truth be told, she had no idea how good of a fighter this girl was and considering Moka was stronger than she looked, it was reasonable to assume that this girl might be too. She was glad to have Moka with her as a backup plan in case this went a bit awry.
Silently moving through the halls, she looked and smelled an odd scent of perfume. It was a strange perfume, giving a strange attraction. She almost felt compelled to follow the scent of this perfume. It gave an alluring scent, not unlike someone hungry smelling good food. Perhaps she could just follow it? Moka seemed to notice it as well, her nose pointed straight toward it.
Coming to what she assumed was the source of the scent, she stopped at a door. She looked down at the handle, instinctively turning it, hearing a voice on the other side.
"Oh, god yes, go deeper, Tsukune!" The moaning voice immediately caused Kyoko to jerk her hand back. That voice! It was definitely that girl, the girl who had taken Tsukune, but what was she doing? Wait, she wasn't…!
Kyoko threw the door open, preparing her best yell for her to give back her brother, when she stopped in shock of the sight. Moka walked in a second later, covering her mouth as she watched.
The blunette was lying on her bed, topless, moaning in pleasure as Tsukune was massaging her with his elbows and wrists. Kyoko gasped in shock as in the midst of the back massage, a pair of wings and a tail burst from the girl's back, the wings laying down to rest over top of her and the tail twitching in pleasure. Moka's eyes widened as she now had an idea as to what this girl was.
"Oh, that feels so good," Kurumu continued, neither having noticed Kyoko or Moka. "You are absolutely a lifesaver, Tsukune. Lugging this extra weight can take a toll on a girl's back, you know. I'm so glad I thought of this while I have you charmed."
"W-Wings," Kyoko stepped back, stumbling into the door and shutting it. It was at this moment the two occupants noticed them. At that, Kurumu gave a scream, arms and wings wrapping around her body to cover her breasts as she shrank back against the bed, face turning the shade of a tomato.
"M-Moka!? And, who the hell are you?" Kurumu asked. "And, what are you two doing in my room?!"
"I'm, uh… here for Tsukune," Kyoko found her voice, clearing her throat to speak clearly. "What did you do to him?"
"Oh, him?" Kurumu gained some composure, putting on a smug face, despite it still blushing profusely. "I've charmed him with my good looks and great body. If you want him back, too bad. Just like I told Moka Akashiya, I'm the hottest girl in this school."
"I don't even go to this school," Kyoko marched over to Tsukune. "I just came for Tsuki. I knew something was weird about you. What the hell are you, you freak?!"
"F-Freak?" The smug face dropped as Kurumu's demeanor changed to a more vulnerable one, eyes filling with tears. "I-I'm not a freak."
Even someone dead set in her ways as Kyoko had to admit she had perhaps taken it too far with her words. She probably should have just taken Tsukune and left it at that. But, then again, she did something to control Tsukune. As much as Kyoko suspected something was off with Moka, she did seem like a genuine person, not someone who somehow made Tsukune like a drone.
"Kyoko, that's too far," Moka said, the tone in her voice one of empathy. "You shouldn't call people who are different than you 'freaks'. It's rude and mean."
"Look, you can't go kidnapping people like that. That's illegal and rude. How dare you steal Tsukune and force him to do this?"
"I-I just wanted someone to get my mother off my back," Kurumu said, tears forming in her eyes. "Do you have any idea how hard it is to have your mother hounding you day after day to get a boyfriend?"
"No, but my mother would also kick my ass if I tried to control someone's mind like however you did." Kyoko pointed at her. "And, that's what we're gonna do to you if you don't give me back my brother."
"You give back Tsukune or else."
"Look, I can't just give him back," Kurumu looked away. "My charm doesn't just dispel like that. It will dispel in time, but I've already used it again. It's going to stay on him for a little while longer. Why must you get in my way? You couldn't handle someone taking your spot as the hottest girl. I don't even care about that, yet you're here because you just couldn't stand losing to someone else."
"I don't care about being the hottest! Do you think I like being hounded by a bunch of horny teenagers who want to beat up the only friend I've ever had just because he hands around me!?"
"I know your type! You play like you don't care, but deep down, you revel in the attention."
"I'm only here for Tsukune, you creep. Nothing more, nothing less. Now, give him back or I'll… I'll… I'll beat you up."
"You just enjoy humiliating me," Kurumu glared, standing up. Her wings spread out and her tail swished back and forth. She slashed for Moka with long claws. "Just leave me alone! I just wanted someone to love! Someone to get my mother off my back! And, you're trying to take that one thing from me!?"
"I think she's got a couple screws loose," Kyoko ducked to avoid the claws, trying not to look at Kurumu's exposed chest. "I mean, I get her point, but she's quite the flipped switch."
"I'm curious as to what she is," Moka dodged by diving toward Tsukune. "I think I've seen this type of monster before, but it is eluding me."
"Monsters aren't real!" Kyoko said, dodging another swipe. "This is some trick… I know it!"
"And yet you're dodging and trying not to get hit." Moka said. "Look, monsters are real. I was trying to hide it, but at this point, it's better to rip the Band-Aid off now."
"You are so weird," Kyoko tackled Kurumu to the ground, trying to hold her arms to her sides. "You get Tsuki out of here. I'll handle Boobzilla here until you're gone."
"R-Right," Moka grabbed Tsukune, running out of the dorm. She ran down the hall and into the empty lot behind the school, pausing to catch her breath. Tsukune muttered, almost as if coming out of the trance.
"Tsukune," Moka smiled. "I'm sorry I ever thought bad of you. I should have figured you were under her spell. We'll just wait here for me to catch my breath and then I'll take you home to hide out. She doesn't know where you live, so it'll be fine."
"Moka," Tsukune muttered, leaning on Moka.
"Found you!" Kurumu's voice came from the other end of the alley, the now fully clothed winged monster holding a barely conscious Kyoko. She didn't look like she was injured, but it was hard to tell from that distance.
"Kyoko!" Moka called.
"She'll be fine," Kurumu tossed her to the side. "I just put her to sleep with a Charm. As for you, I'm going to get a little more violent. You made me feel vulnerable back there and I'm not going to let anyone make me feel that way. I've already put up with it enough from my own mother trying to hound me on getting a boyfriend, but I'm not going to let myself be treated that way by you."
"Look, can't we just talk this out?" Moka asked, holding Tsukune protectively. "We don't have to fight. I don't want to. I understand what you're going through, Kurumu, I really do. Fighting about it really isn't the answer. I learned that myself. Fighting will only make you further alone and more vulnerable. It was only when I opened up that I gained a friend in Tsukune."
"Enough talk!" Kurumu shouted. "I will not be made a fool by you or anyone else!"
She charged at Moka, who turned around, holding Tsukune close. However, in his grogginess, Tsukune accidentally grabbed Moka's rosary, pulling it off.
"The rosary…" Moka looked down, feeling the seal be broken. Kyoko opened her eyes enough to see the light surrounding Moka as her power was unleashed. Unfortunately for her, she fell unconscious shortly after.
"Th-This energy…" Kurumu stopped dead in her tracks. "You're… You're a vampire."
"Took you long enough," Moka, having fully transformed into her vampire self, put Tsukune down, grabbing Kurumu by the neck. Kurumu slashed for her with her claws, but Moka grabbed her hands with her free hand, beginning to squeeze.
"S-Stop, you're hurting me!" Kurumu cried out.
"Seems you can dish it, but can't take it. I suppose I was to expect that from a succubus. All bark and no bite. But, it's time for you to learn your place."
Moka released Kurumu's hands, punching her in the face and sending her flying into a wall. Kurumu looked up at her, fear in her eyes as Moka walked over to her, holding the rosary.
"You know, I wasn't lying about the friendship part," Moka looked down at her. "Give up this whole charming people thing and perhaps you'll make a few. I was a lot like you until I met Tsukune. Give it some thought. Otherwise…"
Moka grabbed Kurumu's tail, placing a foot on her read and giving the tail a pull until it became taut.
"I'll rip this tail off and hang you with it. The same goes for if you ever do that to Tsukune again. Now, you should revert to your human form before someone sees you. You've got other things to worry about. Now, if you'll excuse me, Tsukune and I have to figure out which club to join."
Moka placed the rosary back on the chain, reverting to her pink haired self. She gave a little smile to Kurumu, waving in a friendly manner before picking Tsukune and Kyoko up, carrying them out of the alley.
Two days later
"I suppose the Newspaper Club isn't a bad choice," Tsukune shrugged. "We just need a couple more members. By the way, sorry I acted like that, Moka. I have no idea what came over me."
"She just had you under her spell," Moka said. "But, I don't think she was really a bad person. She was just lonely… kinda like me."
"Well, I guess if we see her we could get to know her."
"Well, hopefully she didn't become scared of me."
"Um, hi," A voice came from nearby. They turned to see Kurumu, waving as she walked over. "I, um, wanted to apologize for my behavior the other day. You were right, Moka. I… I would like that. To be friends, I mean."
"Well, I'd love that," Moka smiled, holding out her hand. Kurumu flinched back for a second before taking a deep breath, shaking it.
"So, what are you guys doing?"
"We're joining the Newspaper Club."
"Oh, well, can I join too? Miss Nekonome is down my neck about joining a club and I'd rather be with people I'm friends with."
"Well, we needed new members anyway," Moka smiled. "I think we'll get along great here. The Newspaper Club is gonna be the best club in the school."
Elsewhere
The little witch walked into the assistant headmaster's office, looking at the woman at the desk.
"You need to knock," She said. "What if I was busy?"
"I've seen every inch of you and everything you have in that drawer," The younger pointed out.
"Well, you shouldn't. Anyway, I called you here because I saw you talking to one Moka Akashiya."
"And?"
"And, you shouldn't talk with her. Wherever she goes, there will usually be trouble. I don't want you getting hurt."
"I don't tell you who to fall for."
"No, but I am the one in charge while mother is away. So, don't get involved with them."
"You're not the boss of me."
"Look, just stay out of trouble. I know you and how you act. Just be careful."
"I always am."
And there, we have the introduction to Kurumu. She's a fun character to write (Mizore is still best girl for me), and I like this take on her. I think it could have been better, but I like the angle I took with it. I hope you enjoy this chapter and I look forward to the next one.
