It has been a few weeks since Naruto had discovered the second portal that leads to the boiling isles aka the demon realm as he even told the third hokage his discovery and showed him the key and etc. The old Kage was amazed at Naruto's discovery as he tasked Naruto with an S class mission to learn everything he can about this interesting world and it's inhabitants which he gladly agreed to.
Naruto even started keeping a journal and would write down all new things he learned about the strange realm and about the new friends he made and about how his progress was in learning magic. So far he had learned just as many spells as Luz has and just like her he had learned how to combinations with his spells by using the glyphs and etc.
He even plans on moving into the old house where he had discovered the key but since it needs fixing up and some major remodeling Naruto has been staying with the residents of the owl house until it's all fixed up.
He even started attending Hexside where he met Willow and Gus and became good friends with just like Luz has and even told Gus about things in his world he even enjoyed doing gardening with Willow as well and as for King they both enjoy doing a little pranking on Boshcha whom Naruto hated with a passion.
And as for Eda well Naruto began to see her as mother figure she even taught Naruto how to pickpocket someone and how to pick a lock which he does sometimes when he wants to steal some of King's secret stash of candy.
As for the classes Naruto was in for Hexside he was in both healing and abominations since he thought it would be cool to be able to make purple blob like creatures to help him fight and he also thought healing would be useful in missions as he was able to create a glyph that helped him be able to do these two classes and was now able to make abominations like the other students in class and was actually really good at it too he even got along with Amity whom was now his study partner.
He even met Viney whom was in both beast keeping and healing they clicked right away as well and they enjoyed hanging out and Naruto learned so much about the different creatures that lives on the boiling isles.
Now in the present Naruto grins as he puts on his school uniform which the sleeves were the same kind of purple color for the abomination class and the pants part was blue for healing he wasn't wearing his ninja headband but he was still wearing his key around his neck which he hid inside his shirt.
After getting ready for school he grabs his bag and patiently waited for Eda and Luz as he felt excited since today they would be getting their palismans and staffs.
After they were finished getting ready they head to school together when they arrived Luz and Naruto stands by Gus and Willow as Bat Queen arrived and they tell them that they are going to be adopting palismans today as Naruto sees a cute cardinal palisman trying to get out but Bump stopped it and puts it back with the others and then Naruto sees a cute blue jay palisman that came over and rubbed itself against the cardinal palisman which made the cardinal returned the affection.
"Aww love birds." Naruto says when he noticed this while he gained hearts in his eyes. Bat Queen then explains what they should do as Willow goes first and then afterwards Boscha and Gus and etc then it was Naruto's turn as he goes over to the palismans. "I want to become the very first shinobi witch and become strong enough to protect everyone I love dattebayo." Naruto says with a grin on his face making the blue jay palisman flies over to him and then turns into a staff for him.
"Awesome." Naruto says with a grin as he walks back over with the others feeling so happy with his new palisman. Then Luz goes next but since she was unsure about her future she failed to bond with the other palismans as none of them chooses her making her feel sad but Naruto was there to comfort his friend.
Luz later on was in her room just feeling sad while Naruto was getting ready for bed. He put on a black tank top and a cute pair of pajama bottoms with chibi foxes on it as his key was still around his neck and was now showing and was now writing in his journal which was a black leather bound journal with a orange nine tailed fox on it but it had a blue jay sitting on his head.
Naruto smiles and writes what happens today in his journal and even draws a picture of his new staff and palisman who's name is Aoi which he felt suited the blue jay palisman since Aoi meant blue in Japanese. But then while he wrote in his journal while Aoi sits on his head he sees the red cardinal palisman whom he and Luz called Little Rascal hopping out of his bag and flying up to where Aoi was and snuggling close to him while Aoi chirps happily.
Naruto thought it was so adorable but he knew he had to return Little Rascal back to his nest, so he grabs his staff where Aoi was now on top of once more and he grabs his cape which looked like the one Luz has only his was orange and black it was a gift to him from Gwen and Lilith whom sent him the cape as a congratulations for getting into hexside gift as he flies back to hexside with Little Rascal on him he finds a barrier around the nest where the other palismans are sleeping.
"Hmm how do I open it dattebayo?" Naruto asked himself while tapping his chin a bit that's when he saw Little Rascal rubbing himself against the barrier opening it up making Naruto grin. "Wow." He says feeling amazed and opens the door to the nest and Little Rascal goes inside with the other palismans and Naruto yawns. "Hmm maybe a quick nap wouldn't hurt." He says tiredly and he goes inside the nest and falls asleep with the other palismans all around him.
Then hours later Naruto wakes up to the feeling of the nest jerking around causing him to jolt up. "What the?!" He yells out and he opens the door and sees that they were high up from the ground. "Someone is trying to steal the palismans." Naruto says to himself quietly he looks up and sees the air ship that had a claw like mechanism holding onto the nest causing Naruto to bring out one of his plant magic glyphs and uses it to make a vine and climb up sneakily.
He would use his staff but he felt this would be better and safer since he didn't want to alert the thief that he was here once he gets to the top and to the air ship itself he spots a witch around his age three years older than him wearing a white cape with the hood up and he wore Golden armor and he wore a Golden owl mask over his face and he was whistling while steering the ship.
Naruto's eyes widen as he recognizes him from Luz's descriptions this was the Golden Guard the new head of the emperors coven and the one whom is said to be a teen prodigy. Luz had told him that this guy had even taken King as hostage and threatened to kill him if they didn't slay a creature known as a Selkidomus.
Naruto curses mentally to himself knowing this guy wasn't gonna be easy he then gets an idea and grabs a leaf and draws the fire magic glyph on it and quietly goes over to him and puts it on his cape making him turn to Naruto as he then screams and was blasted off the ship.
Naruto shrugs at this. "I'm sure he will be okay." Naruto says and looks around on the ship. "Damn it how do I even land this thing." Naruto says to himself feeling somewhat annoyed. "Oh you just pull the cord there." He hears a voice making him smile. "Oh thank...wait what?" Naruto says with realization and looks and sees the Golden Guard before him laying on his side in front of him looking completely chill with his head resting on his hand. "Hi." He says and then his staff glows red and he ties Naruto up.
Naruto struggles in his binds as the masked witch noticed the key around Naruto's neck. "Well well if it isn't the little human I've been searching for Hmm I'm sure you'll make a nice little gift to Emperor Belos." He says grabbing his chin forcing him to look at his masked covered face as Naruto moves his head out of his grip.
"You're not gonna get away with this I'll stop you from taking the palismans." Naruto tells him glaring at him as he swore he was smirking behind his mask. "Oh I'm afraid I already have so why don't you just sit back and enjoy the ride human." He tells him and then he walks back over to the controls while Naruto keeps struggling in his binds. "Damn it why did I leave one of my kunai knives behind." He thinks to himself as he closes his eyes and begins to think that's when he noticed the dirt on the floor on the ship making him smirk.
"So how did you get back to the ship so fast?" Naruto asked him while making a ice glyph on the floor, the Golden Guard scoff and motions to his staff. "Staff." He says making Naruto smile mischievously. "Oh really?" He says and then he stomps on the glyph with his right foot activating the glyph causing it to throw Golden Guard's staff off the ship.
The Golden Guard growls and turns to Naruto whom was sticking his tongue out at him Golden Guard then realizes that the human did this to get a rise out of him as he smirks and laughs underneath his mask. "Human it's gonna take much more than that to stop me in my mission." He tells him and then Naruto looks in the sky and pales with what he sees.
"Is that a dragon made out of hands." He says making Golden Guard look too and then said dragon destroys the ship causing it to crash as everything turns black for both Naruto and Golden Guard.
When Naruto woke up he saw Aoi and Little Rascal pecking at his binds to free him once he was freed he petted them both. "Good birds." Naruto says as he then grabs his staff and finds Golden Guard's staff as well. He then heard groaning and turns to his right and sees the Golden Guard alive still but was most likely in pain.
He frowns at that as he then heard voices and took a peek and listened in on their conversation he saw a demon who's name is Kikimora talking to the other members of the emperors coven saying how the Golden Guard had died in the crash and then they left after she was alone he saw her pull out a whistle of some kind and blow in it that's when he saw the same strange dragon that attacked them appeared. "Excellent work my pet, find the rest of him and help yourself to a little snack." She says feeding Golden Guard's mask to the strange dragon as she walks off leaving the dragon alone.
Naruto frowns at that even though he was a horrible person Naruto knew that not even he deserved this so making up his mind he goes over to the Golden Guard and looks at him. He saw that he had blond hair and between his teeth was a gap and he had scars on his left cheek and a dent in one of his ears and he had bags underneath his eyes, Naruto couldn't help but blush a little.
He hated to admit it but this guy was rather attractive. Naruto then shakes his head a bit and slaps his face waking the teen up as Naruto saw his eyes was a dark magenta color make him look even more attractive to him.
Golden Guard sputters and glares at Naruto. "You!" He yells out and Naruto covers his mouth with his hand. "Shh listen you are a terrible person and I don't like you but that demon Kikimora wants to kill you by using that creepy hand dragon and apparently just like Luz I'm too nice to let that happen to you." He tells him glaring at him he then felt his hand was wet making him pull it away and wipes his hand. "Ew did you lick like my hand?! Stop being such an idiot I'm trying to help you jerk!" Naruto yells at him and they got into a small fight with each other but then Golden Guard heard a growling noise so he and Naruto ditched his cape as a cover and snuck away while the dragon ate it.
They walked together around Latissa as Naruto was holding his own staff and Golden Guard's staff as well while Little Rascal was on his right shoulder and Aoi was back on his staff once more. "Wow this place is amazing I have to write this down in my journal when I get home." Naruto says to Golden Guard with stars in his eyes but he noticed this guy was ignoring him. "So whats your name?" Naruto asked him trying to break the awkward silence between them.
But he ends getting a snarl in return from the male witch as he approaches one of the Emperors Coven headquarters in Latissa as he tries to get in so he can contact the castle immediately but the guards thought he was just some random kid with a temporary tattoo. "I'm your superior and I can prove it, staff." He says turning to Naruto asking for his staff but Naruto looks at him and then puts the staff behind himself and whistles.
"That's real cute, you kids head home before we call your parents." One of the guards tells them and they go back inside Golden Guard then turns to Naruto his face red from anger and annoyance as he begins to chase Naruto whom runs from him, this goes on for a few minutes until Naruto comes across a building and climbs up it by using his chakra he then turns around and sees Golden Guard glaring at him while Naruto sticks his tongue at him.
"Come and get me Golden Guard, why don't you use a levitation spell to come up here dattebayo." Naruto tells him as Golden Guard growls and turns his head away from him making Naruto frown as his eyes then widen in realization. "Wait are you powerless without this?" Naruto says pointing to the staff.
He then sees Golden Guard walking away for a moment and then he begins to climb up the roof by using parkour once he was on the rooftop Naruto begins to panic and uses his staff to blast some magic at him but Golden Guard dodged it. "Stay back or I'll..." Naruto says but then he was grabbed and slammed to the wall.
"Or you'll what? Blast me to bits with your staff heh oh no you're too nice for that what will you do fly away on your staff? But then you'll be leaving your precious palisman behind." He says to him smirking at him in a smug manner making Naruto growl as Little Rascal was still on his shoulder and Aoi was still on his staff.
They then heard a roar and they both turned and see that Kikimora had the palisman nest and was getting ready to set off on the hand dragon creature as Golden Guard frowns at this. "So Kikimora was after my catch huh." He says to himself and Naruto grins at him.
"Well it seems that right now both of us don't want her to win, why don't we both team up to stop her." Naruto says to him with a foxy grin on his face making Golden Guard raise an eyebrow at him. "What makes you think I will let you and those palismans leave afterwards especially since you're my target as well." He says to him making Naruto chuckle.
"I don't think you'll have a choice I after all have plenty of practice of getting away from law authority people after years of practice of pulling pranks in my village." Naruto says to him grinning and making a peace sign at him.
Golden Guard sighs. "I highly doubt that but fine a truce til then." He says making Naruto smile brightly at him and shakes his hand. "Truce then." Naruto says as he walks away and they began their plan.
While Golden Guard goes off to get a plant known as Sleeping Nettles, Naruto makes a fire and ice glyph on the wall which was Golden Guard comes across when he returns from the errand as he sees Naruto looked completely concentrated with what he was doing as he smiles feeling satisfied with his work.
When he sees that smile he felt himself blush a bit since Naruto's smell looked warm and bright it was like the sun he also took a moment to look at him for a moment as he couldn't help but noticed that he looked beautiful and cute.
Golden Guard shakes his head a bit to get rid of the thoughts, he to focus plus he couldn't let himself fall for a human. "Did you get it?" Naruto asked him making him nod his head and hands it to Naruto whom begins to explain his plan to him he tells him that combining his two glyphs and adding the sleeping nettles he will make a sleep inducing fog that will cause Kikimora to land and put her and her dragon out which will allow them to take the palismans back.
Golden Guard felt excited and said that this reminded him of a familiar spell he had read in a book about wild magic which Naruto recognizes as the one from the writer whom Eda one time pick pocketed. Golden Guard smiles as he looks at the glyphs. "I've never seen glyphs before but it reminds of the kind of spells that witches used in the savage ages." He tells him making Naruto interested. "Wow really?" Naruto says feeling fascinated by this. "Yeah not many people know this but...no this is forbidden for a reason you should stop now before you get hurt." He tells him as he had a serious yet calm and concerned look on his face.
"Okay, but you know other than Lilith I had never spoken to the other members of the emperors coven...what made you want to join?" Naruto asked him curiously making him sigh and sit down against the wall. "You were right before, I'm a powerless witch most of ancestors were I'd never thought I would ever have a future in a world like this but then Belos found me and gave me a staff of artificial magic and told me that the Titan had big plans for me." He tells him making Naruto frown at that while he looks at him with sympathy.
"I'm really sorry to hear that, I guess things weren't easy for you were they?" Naruto asked him making him sigh and look down. "You can say that, I mean I was bullied and treated badly and people looked at me like I was a freak not that I blamed them I mean even I feel like one sometimes I even feel like I don't belong here in this world." He tells Naruto whom had an understanding look on his face as he sits down next to him.
"I know how you feel, growing up everyone treated me badly and they hated me and said I was a freak and a demon and a monster I was pretty much an outcast too I didn't really feel like I belong anywhere I didn't even know why people hated me growing up." Naruto tells him shocking Golden Guard since he never thought there would be someone whom understood him. "But why? Why did they hate you?" He asked him making Naruto smile a bitter smile.
"People hated me for something that was beyond my own control too, you see 13 years ago on the day I was born a demon fox with nine tails attacked my village and killed lots of people the demon was defeated by the former leader of my village whom sacrificed his life by sealing the demon away inside a newborn baby...just my luck to be born that day huh? Growing up I was everyone's scapegoat and a convenient target for their grief and hate...and for a very long time I wasn't even sure if I had a future too but then one day I met people whom despite knowing about what I am and what I have inside me they all care about me and with them I was able to figure out my future because of that." Naruto tells him smiling at him making Golden Guard blush and turn away from him.
"At least you can figure out your own future." He says to him as Little Rascal then flies over to Golden Guard and rubs himself against him freaking him out a bit. "Get away from me." He says to the small bird palisman making Naruto giggle. "He's just being friendly." Naruto says to him warmly making Golden Guard hide his blush again.
"I don't care he's made from wild magic it's dangerous." He tells him making Naruto chuckle. "Does he looks dangerous to you?" Naruto asked him smiling at him. Suddenly they heard a roar and they looked and see Kikimora getting ready to fly. "Okay it's time, put your mask on." Naruto tells him as they tied some bandannas around their mouths and noses to make sure they don't inhale it. "Okay once she is down we grab the palismans." Naruto tells him making him nod his head in understanding.
Naruto was silent for a few seconds as he looks at Golden Guard and then back at Golden Guard's staff and offers it to him. "Here." Naruto says making Golden Guard look at him with surprise. "Are you sure?" He asked him making sounding surprised as Naruto nod his head yes and hands it to him as Golden Guard and Naruto get on their staffs and flies after Kikimora right after Naruto activated the spell.
Kikimora coughs as she felt tired and her vision becomes blurry. "It's working." Golden Guard says and Naruto makes a light by using the light glyph as they both then land right after Kikimora and the dragon does as they were both out cold. Naruto pulls down his mask and goes over to the nest and opens the door as Little Rascal hops inside with the other palismans.
"I'm so glad you guys are okay." Naruto says as he then noticed they were cold and scared so he takes off his cape and wraps them up in it to keep them warm but after he did he saw a red glow and sees Golden Guard pointing his staff at him making Naruto sigh and close the door on the nest and turns to him slowly. "Hmph so you're really gonna go through it huh? You're gonna still capture me and take these little guys to Belos, look I know what he does to them since Luz told me and you know what the worst thing is I actually thought that deep down you're a good guy but I should of known better you're not my friend...you're just the Golden Guard." Naruto says as he stares at him while Golden Guard stares back at him as he looked like he felt bad and hurt he then sighs and pulls down his mask.
"My name is Hunter." He says revealing his name to him surprising Naruto that's when Kikimora sends out blasts of fire magic at them as Hunter begins to fight her and nods at Naruto to let him know to leave and escape while he has the chance. Naruto getting the silent message he was able to grab the whistle that Kikimora used to control the dragon and uses it to help himself fly away and escape with the palismans before he was too far away he turns to Hunter and sighs a bit as he felt grateful to him.
Later on Hunter was back at the castle before Belos whom was chewing him out for his failure after he left he heads back to his room feeling tired as he also couldn't stop thinking about Naruto as well. Hunter lays down on his bed and groans and rubs his face as Naruto's smiling face appears in his head. "Ugh why am I feeling this way about that human." He says to himself that's when he heard chirping and he looks and sees the cardinal palisman at his window and he walks over to it surprised to see it.
"Palisman." He says and grabs it as he accidentally squeezes to hard making him noticed so he lets go and apologizes to the small bird and sighs and pets him. "You shouldn't be here Belos will hurt you if he sees you." He says to the small cardinal palisman whom then chirps and turns into staff surprising Hunter as the staff looked like Naruto's only the staff part was black. "Wow I wasn't expecting that." He says feeling surprised he then walks over to the window holding his new staff and palisman as Naruto's face pops into his head once more as he then smiles a bit.
He actually couldn't wait to see Naruto again little did he know though Naruto was having similar thoughts about him as well.
