The three fighters got along fairly well together when Donkey Kong returned to his senses. DK would occasionally try to pull a little trick when he was bored. Usually giving them a scare when he uses the barrel cannon and sometimes bringing Link along for the ride. But he quickly learned his limits as day became night and the two set up their tent from yesterday. When Master Hand flew by with some food he listed that he avoided anything related to potassium and apologized on the behalf of the tournament. (Which basically meant nothing since he's the one pulling the strings of the tournament, making it just a simple apology.)
The three made it through a claustrophobic night since Mario sinister that they could fit the giant guerrilla in and it would have been just as fine. It was fair to stay that they turned into pancakes or kept awake by the loud snores of the alpha primate that stood with them. By the next morning the Hylian hero and DK already went through the remaining rations of the previous night, leaving Mario somewhat disappointed, but he shook it off and stayed confident. Besides, a diet could always do him a favor, or else he would begin to look more like his yellow and purple counterpart.
The three heroes joke around with each other until the stage starts shaking again. They turn their heads to see Master Hand, who was, much like yesterday, summoning a blade to destroy the stage. The three panicked as they tried to think of something to do until DK took action and grabbed a hold of the two of them and put them on his back. DK then went down into the cannon and fired it into the distance. Mario and Link screamed as the three of them started plummeting until DK took a hold of a vine from one of the palm trees and started swinging.
"That was a close one!"
"It's-a crazy how powerful that hand is…"
The three gave a pause as the once strong planks of yesterday that stayed sturdy and were constantly repaired by the hand were now destimated, as if the work put into it meant nothing to the hand as they watched the rubble fall into an endless void. Link began to notice a difference in the terrain as it changed; it seemed to be hard rock instead of jungle oak. DK took the other two as they traveled to their third challenge.
The weather changed as they traveled further and further, looking for solid ground. Once clear skies were now filled with dark rain. The three could feel a change in their climate as everything became colder and wetter, not to mention the air that became denser as they traveled. Eventually they found Master Hand waiting near solid and grassy ground. The three eventually made it to the area and arrived at where Master Hand was located.
"Hello my three contestants! And welcome to Zebus! This third match of the tournament is going to really spice things up from the previous two fights! For you see, the goal is not to defeat your foe, you must completely conquer them…."
"And that's different how?" Link asked sarcastically.
"I'm glad you asked! Today I want all of you to battle it out in a Free For All! But not just some free for all slugfest. No no no… The real goal of this round is to find this." The Hand showed a holographic image in his palm. It was an orb with a horizontal and vertical dash, crossing into the bottom left corner. It radiated an intense glow that gave off many colors.
"What is that?" Link questioned.
"This? Well… it goes by no sort of name. It is an object that I'm not entirely familiar with myself to be honest. But from what little knowledge I have about it I can conclude that it's extremely powerful, able to unlock one's full potential and reach heights that they could, or even would ever manage to reach by themselves. But the possibility of managing to hold all of that power in is… frankly unthinkable, tabuu even…"
"So you want us to just hand it over to you? Thanks for telling us about it, but we won't let it fall into your hands."
"Oh Link, I wouldn't have even known about it if I never mentioned it to the three of you…" The hand holds out his palm and makes the object appear, before teleporting it away again.
"So, I'm expecting you to battle it out for that object before it falls into the hands of one of your fellow contestants. I am giving the four of you a whole 24 hours to get your hands on it. And do it quickly, because this area is also a former hideout for many space pirates willing to eliminate anyone to get their hands on something like this." The hand waved off before teleporting away.
"...So…. is anyone in this group intending to misuse this?" Link asked. The other two shock their heads and it was settled.
"Since we have no reason to fight we should team up to find the orb together. But to avoid suspicion I want the three of us to split up to find it and come back here."
"Wait! Why can't we stay in a group? There's safety in numbers and working as a team could-"
"If we don't play along to the Hands rules we might have a whole lot more trouble then…. Wait, what even is a 'space pirate' anyways? I'm familiar with Pirates but what's up with the 'space' thing?"
"Oh, you aren't aware of space?"
"Is this one of our 'different universe' things going on?"
"Oh, no, space is what lies beyond the planet. It's where all the stars are and-"
"Woah woah woah, time out for a moment. You're telling me that there's a thing beyond all of the kingdoms that has stars?"
"Well~ it's more of an empty void more then anything-"
"Well, I think there's someone I know that's gonna be amazed by this news."
The three kept talking to each other and disgust who will be going where and ways for them to quickly get back together. Meanwhile Master Hand teleported down to Brainstar.
"Well Samus, I'm sure you know the rules already. So if you spot the other three then please don't hesitate to attack-"
"Wasn't planning to…" Samus remarked coldly.
"AH! First speaking lines and I'm already filled with confidence on who'll be winning this round. Now then… enjoy the hunt Aran… give them a good show stopping performance."
Our three heroes begin walking through the first available door leading to Crateria. It was an impressive sight for three, but the area was so…. Dead. There were no signs of life except for the hollow moss that grew on the cold stone. Their footsteps echoed across the caverns and then quickly frightened by the sounds of quick footsteps.
"So, wanna show your face or are you guys just gonna run around like a bunch of bokoblins?" Link remarked with slight annoyance.
"Yah! Come on out so we can settle this!" Mario quickly added, being slightly uneasy since it wasn't common for him to fight foes playing it stealthy.
DK pounded his chest and started smashing the ground, making the caverns shake around them before Mario calmed him down. "DK! Please don't do that…. You're gonna bring this whole place down if you do that."
"He's right DK just settle down and save it for the bad guys." DK gave a disappointed grunt, but agreed to it as he slowly went down to whatever the next area had in store for him.
"Alright Mario, I'll stay up here and make sure it's safe-"
"Hey! Why aren't you heading down here!?"
"Well, it has to do with something I just noticed." Link went outside with Mario to show him his discovery. Mario instantly recognized it as a ship.
"Oh! That's just a spaceship, don't worry Link. In fact, this might be some good news!"
"How is this good news!?"
"It means we might not be so alone here-"
"Well duh…. We got 'Space Pirates' or whatever we're calling them now."
"Well, I'm not sure about that. Ship looks a little too small for that."
"Either way, I'm planning on setting a trap around here so we can-"
"Now hold on, let's-a think about this. If we set up a bobby trap, it's-a gonna make us look bad."
"We can't guarantee that every fighter we get will immediately be on our side Mario, what if they're an evil villain, or a cold hearted killer, or a being capable of inflicting mass genicide?"
"Then that's a good reason to make amends with them and-"
"You think the hand wouldn't bribe someone to make them attack us?"
"...that's….a good point there Link…."
"Well, either way, you go on without me. I'll be up here to evaluate the situation and prepare for any attackers."
"Sounds smart, I'll see you later!"
"Cya Mario! Good luck finding the orb!" The two wave goodbye to each other as Link sits down and begins setting up his trap.
Donkey Kong began swinging around the place. He looked around and bashed every door he saw in order to find the orb. But it wasn't in the vicinity as he looked around the place. Eventually he gave up and found a place to rest. As he closed his eyes he suddenly got shot at by something. He looked over and saw strange looking things that spoke garbled nonsense as they began firing beams at him. DK swiftly jumped up and picked one of them up like a crate of cargo before squeezing him tightly. The Space Pirate was quickly changed into a statue and he used it to bash the other Space Pirate into another statue. He gave a triumphant cry as he went up to show Link that he got them. Meanwhile, a small orange ball began rolling on the ground, watching him take the Space Pirates to the serifice. Samus got up and began to take action.
Mario wasn't having himself a nice day. He got into a fight with Link (with words, not fist) and now he was being attacked by these strange Space Pirates. Mario dodged one of them as he lept in for a kick, before soon turning vulnerable afterwards. Mario took this as a chance to quickly strike them and they turned into a statue like the rest. It was more exhausting dealing with their projectiles more than anything they're throwing at him currently. Maybe he should work on a way to fix that? But now is most certainly not that time. He dodged another attack by a Space Pirate as they kept firing at him. Mario quickly slides under a blast and strikes them hard, making them soon kneel over and become a statue.
"Alright…. Who's next?" He was overly exhausted as he went into the next room, only to find it filled with statues. He looked around to see several holes in the ceiling as almost fell into a hole. Whoever managed to deal this amount of damage in such a short time had to be impressive for sure.
Suddenly Mario heard a sound. It was a very faint sound, but a sound nonetheless. The room's doors were locked, leaving no escape for what comes next. Mario turned over as he heard something high pitch go off. He looked for the source of the sound, only to see a new hole somewhere. He went across to see what was happening and heard the sound of faint footsteps.
"Hey! Who's there!? I don't want to fight you so can we just talk about this?"
There was silence for a long time. And then he heard another faint beeping sound. It came from the floor this time, but Mario didn't know that as he looked all around himself.
Samus jumped up from the floor and delivered the first strike. Mario went flying into the wall as Samus began firing missile after missile at the plumber. Mario desperately went in for a counter strike, only to get countered and further pushed back into the wall. Samus fired again and again and again, until Mario was eventually turned into a statue. Samus looked surprised by this fact, but gave a sigh as she charged another shot to finish it. She fired… only for it to do nothing.
"AH, Samus! How's my favorite bounty hunter doing?"
"What is this?" She gestured her arm cannon to the statue.
"Oh that? It's just a little thing I have going on, just a bit of immortality to all my fighters. You know, it would be a little coasty to find more if one were just to die. But since you were so insistent on killing him-"
"It's fine." She didn't want him dead, she just needed him out of her way.
"No worries Samus, I got this in the bag." The hand proceeds to summon a giant bag out of thin air before placing Mario in.
"...What!? No remark on that brilliant pun? I swear… people these days have no taste…" The hand teleported away and left Samus to her devices once more.
Donkey Kong managed to get back up to Link only to find him sleeping next to the spacecraft. DK immediately woke Link up as he quickly unsheathed his sword.
"I-I'm awake! Was just… setting up traps. Oh, hey DK. what's that you got there?" DK showed off his new toys to Link as he checked out the two trophitized Space Pirates. Link gave him a quick thumbs up and decided that now would be a pretty good time to start looking for that orb himself.
"Just give me a sec to get some stuff…. O-kay! Let's move." The two quickly move out to Brainstar to look for the orb again. They traveled down Crateria and quickly moved to some orange colored doors. DK began slamming at it, trying to force it open while Link examined closer and got out a bomb and threw it. The door opened after Link set the explosive off.
Donkey Kong gave off a quick remark and Link simply rubbed it off. "Those doors required a lot of explosive energy from all sides to open it up. The princess had some plans for a door similar to this and she already had some blueprints so I decided to make a wild guess."
Donkey Kong tilted his head.
"...Princess Zelda, not a princess from your world, if I didn't make it clear enough."
Donkey Kong nodded along and pretended like he knew what he was talking about as they checked the area out, only to find nothing inside.
"Dang it! Dead end. Let's find another path from here-" The two were suddenly caught off guard by some footsteps. DK was moving forwards but Link gave the command to stay back for a moment. The two found hiding places as the ultimate bounty hunter walked into the scene. She took out something from the chamber and added it to her arsenal. She then went back toward a green door and fires off a super missile to open it. The whole room shook for a moment, causing hiding geemers to fall from the ceiling as Samus entered the next room.
DK tried to quickly smash the pest only to be stabbed by their spiky bodys. Link made up for this and sliced them to bits with the master sword, turning them into statues. "Well that was close…"
DK gave Link a look as they looked on into the room Samus went into.
"I'm not sure who's under that suit of armor… But it's not gonna be good if she catches us. But then again, she could be useful in opening those doors…"
DK gave a quick shove, questioning why they would even need to do that.
"DK, I may be able to open those orange doors but I'm not sure about these red and green ones. The green one seems to only open when you apply a lot of explosive force into one concentrated area. The reds ones are similar, but seem a little less resilient, so maybe if I had something like bomb arrows on hand, which I sadly don't have right now. So our best bet is slowly following them. Besides, how hard could it be?"
"Well this is harder than I thought it would be." The two could barely keep up with the bounty hunter's pace as she quickly blasted holes into the walls and traveled through them. They had to keep up with her at all times while also hiding, and not to mention the fact that they needed to get their hands on the orb. Eventually Samus arrived on the doors of Norfair and the two fighters watched as she went in. DK rushed in pursuit only for his fur to get lit ablaze due to Norfair's high temperature. Link quickly doused the flames and the two sat there to think up something.
"Well, that's unfortunate. I don't think you're gonna last long in there so I want you to keep on guard for them as I try to get the orb." DK slammed down in rejection, thinking he wouldn't last too.
"Don't worry about it. I have something for this occasion. I just need you to hold my stuff here for a moment." Link began to take off his clothes and change into his fireproof outfit. Sure it was heavier and clunkier, but it's better than nothing.
Once Link fully changed into the suit, he was off to hunt for the bounty hunters location. Along the way he faced many small threats such as squeepts, sovas, and gamets. The Hylian continued to follow as Samus's footsteps slowed to a halt. Link hid as the bounty hunter looked around the area as a ray from the visor began to go off. A few minutes later Samus continued to move on into the next room.
"That was close…." Link moved further in as continue in and lost sight of the bounty hunter.
Link began to slowly walk into the next room. Samus was nowhere to be seen in his eyes. A fact that Samus took to great advantage as she got out of her morph ball form and unloaded a charged shot at Link.
Link managed to ready his shield just in time to protect himself from the blast. The two looked at each other and the fight was on. Samus rushed in with an uppercut via her arm cannon and made a quick hop to the side and slicked back. Samus took a step back and fired a missile at Link who once again parried with his shield.
"Hmph, gonna take a slot more then a few missiles to beat me-" Link was interrupted by Samus using the grapple beam and yanking the shield off of him. She fired a few more missiles at him and knocked him into the wall. Link got up and slashed as Samus avoided his attack by jumping over him and unleashing a super missile which knocked him into the opposite wall. Link slowly got up and made another attempt to slash but paused for a moment as Samus jumped over and swung her arm cannon like a mace into his skull and knocked him to his knees. Samus began charging another shot but Link suddenly threw a bomb at her. He detonated as the two of them were blown back. Link used this time to escape as Samus continued on to the next room.
Samus marched on after her encounter with the Hylian as she went into the next room and laid her eyes on the orb that Master Hand had spoken about. Her scanner immediately detected the high amounts of power radiating from it, warning that if the user is unprepared the orb could prove to be fatal if it wasn't used correctly. She looked around the area it laid at. The scenery was slightly different, but she knew this was once the lair of her sworn nemesis, the one who would have stopped at nothing to kill her. She sighs as she takes the orb and goes onwards to report her findings and win this 'game' the hand set up.
Link emerges back from his trip to the depths of Norfair and sees DK playing on a strange object, showing a weird image of him climbing up of something, two hands at a time.
"DK we need to get ready for them! They're packed with explosives and almost got me on their first try and we need a plan, and fast!"
DK gave a little nod as he put his game away and the two headed up to the surface to prepare for the confrontation with Samus.
"Hey DK, have you seen Mario lately?" DK shook his head
"Dang it, she must have gotten him when we split up. We'll interrogate her on his location later but for now we need to make sure we got the traps set up."
DK gave Link a stare.
"...What's that look for?"
DK continues to stare at him.
"...OH! I mean, I already have traps and all but-uh- more would always be nice!"
DK, still not believing it, stares at Link.
"...I went to sleep. There, you happy?" DK gave a grudging look as he went back up to prepare for the fight.
It took a few hours but Link managed to get something together. With DK's help he managed to set up a tripwire and the door for the bounty hunter to trigger and get taken out by a rock slide. And if that didn't work he had made a plan B for the occasion that she escapes and tried to go after them. The two were set up into position as Samus began walking out. Link got to work and shot an arrow to the side, but Samus already scanned the outer walls and saw what he set up using the X-ray visor. She merely stood back and watched the rocks 'trap' her in, before blowing it all to smithereens with a charge shot.
"Dang it! How could she have seen it coming?" DK raised his arms to his sides as they quickly initiated plan B. Donkey Kong lifted up a giant boulder and threw it at Samus. She shot the builder with a super missile, only for Link to come out on the other end and thrust into the suit. But the power suit was sturdy enough to handle a slice from the master sword and Samus quickly began to counter attack with several shots. She then sets the arm cannon into a mode that can much better damage up close and the two begin to brawl it out. DK began to throw more builders down at the too, only for Samus to use the screw attack to go through the boulders, leaving Link to take the brunt of the damage. Link charged in with a spin attack, only for Samus to go into morph ball form and counter with some morph ball bombs. Link was blown off his feet and left with a small limp in his leg. Link fired into the suit and dealt more damage then what Samus expected, but she still had the better range artillery. She fired a few missiles and a charge blast, turning Link into a trophy.
DK noticed that Link was taken out and began to throw more barrels to catch her off guard. She simply fired a few blasts and avoided everything he threw at her. The protector of the DK Isles bagan to feel irritated and leapt down at her. He came in with a hard punch which Samus countered and proceeded to rapidfire her missiles at him. DK grew angrier and swung wildly, managing to get a solid hit in and dealing an impressive amount of damage. Samus got up and fired more missiles only for DK to turn the tables and spin at her with his fist like a hurricane, deflecting the missiles in the process. Samus tried to jump over him but he simply clapped his hand into the air and dealt massive damage to her. As the battle progressed, both fighters grew more and more irritated at each other. DK began to play more recklessly while Samus was able to retain some semblance of calm and rational thinking due to her training. Samus morphs back into her ball form and lays out several bombs, making DK hop and jump to avoid them. She kept switching between the forms to avoid DK's attacks and as he grew more irritated he began to pound the ground rapidly with ever growing strength until there was a loud snapping sound.
"This is most certainly a brutal fight folks. DK is being absolutely abliderated by Samus! I think we already found the winner of this match!" Master Hand announced on the screen.
"AH COME ON! She totally jumped Mario in the beginning. That has to be cheating right!?" a toad complained.
"I'm sorry my little friend, but I haven't made any rules for jumping people. But if you have more to complain about, remember to send me your request about what you want next in this tournament."
"Wait, really! Your doing request! Well, in that case, can we have Princess in smash?!"
"Why, of course! I would be more than happy to bring her along in the future, but first I need to gather a few more fighters and then we'll be on our merry little way."
"Oh boy! This tournaments awesome!" The toad then proceed to go to the postoffice to send his request.
Master hand floated around and saw many of the people he had angered yesterday to be in better moods as the tournament grew larger and grander. He looked over to see two men, one short and obese one in yellow and purple, and a tall lanky one in purple and black.
"Well hello there! How are you enjoying this tournament!"
"WAHAHAHA! This is-a great! I've never been able to make THIS much since my adventuring days!"
"Well isn't that just great news! Say, how about I interest you in this new currency I'm making. Give it some time and it'll be very pricy~"
Wario waved off the suggestion. "Wario's fine! I'm-a already making bank so if you don't have me money then GET LOST!"
Master hand sighed as he floated away and turned back to the screen. He watched on as the two mighty warriors continued to clash. DK may have had an advantage in raw strength, but Samus was far more calculating and had a trump card for everything he could throw at her. Soon enough he will get his orb and prepare for the next phase of his plan. He found himself laughing and having a good time whenever DK got smacked in the face.
"AHAHA. I guess the saying about something being priceless really is true-" The hand's fun was stopped by DK breaking a pipeline.
"Oh dear." The hand teleported down to Tourian and saw sever machines breaking. He thought about fixing it for a moment. But then again, a time limit to raise the stakes could be more thrilling in the long run…
The hand made his decision and flew back to the top.
Samus and DK continued to engage in close combat, brutalising each other for a while until Master Hand arrived at the scene.
"Attention fighters! Sorry to 'but in' like this, but I'm afraid DK just broke one of the pipelines. This, unfortunately means the entirety of Zebes is about to self-destruct in… give or take 8 minutes. So if you were struggling before my arrival, I suggest you start to rap this up before the three of you go out in a blaze of glory." The audience at home booed at the pun. "You see Samus, THIS is how you're SUPPOSED to respond to a bad joke. At least show some respect next time…." The hand took the opportunity to leave as the fighters began to rush at each other.
DK rolls in and tries to pound at Samus only to be countered and once again face another onslaught of missiles to the face. Samus changes her balster to it's melee-esc mode and fires off several attacks that deal impressive damage to the ape. DK charged up his own punch but delayed at the last second to catch Samus off guard before knocking her into the ship. This proved to be a bad move however as She began to take the ship and leave the decaying Zebes behind. DK took Link's statue and threw it at the as it stuck like a pin, he then proceeded to charge after it and leapt to it.
"Look at them go! Didn't even need the 24 hours given and they're already blowing the place up! If this isn't an indication for how wild future matches are then I'm not sure what is!" The hand announced as the crowd gave a loud cheer. He then proceeds to fly a decent distance away to show off the exploding planet to the viewers…. Only for a small flame to come out of the ground instead.
Master Hand flew back and examined it. "Huh? Thought the pipeline would have caused the place to go off… well this is sami-disappointing. Usually the planets Samus visits end up blowing up like-" The Hand was interrupted as the flame instantly grew into a pillar of magma, followed by the ground bursting with more magma, and the audience watching from a far away view as the planet blew up. They gave a loud cheer for the performance that was shown today.
Later on, Master Hand came back after the destruction on Zebes and titled the round a 'no contest' and was planning on a way to fix this. He decided that the quickest fix was to open a wormhole to some other section of space for them to battle. Besides, if he were to open one around the Lylat system he can hit two birds with one stone when the time is right. Master hand snapped his fingers and followed after the spacecraft as it continued to keep attempting to fling off DK and Link. The hand made a swift movement and threw out a wormhole that was generated from his palm. The ship was sucked in as Master Hand laughs.
The toads felt robbed. They saw Mario lose not once, but twice! How does that even happen!? Mario is supposed to be one of the greatest heroes of all time! How did he lose to some elf boy and now he straight up disappeared thanks to this new guy. One especially furious toad came rushing in and tried to headbutt the screen over and over again until Master Hand picked him up.
"Are there any problems sir? Do you wish for larger screens or-"
"What I want is for Mario to win! And you totally rigged it!"
"I'm afraid I have no idea what you're blabbering about. This game is completely and utterly fair. Not my fault Mario doesn't have the capabilities to handle all of these new fighters he's never faced before. Now if you excuse me, I have some mail to look threw."
The hand floated up and changed the static to him as he read threw some frequently asked questions.
"Hello. I am Master Hand, the head founder of this tournament. I turn your attention away from this battle to go over some frequently asked questions. Let's start off with this anonymous mailer titled 'coolest man in the world' then we can focus on the rest."
The hand paused for a moment and gave a fake cough "Dear Master Hand, that first match with Mario getting pounded hard was the greatest stuff I've ever seen! Will there be more Mario failures in the future? How many fighters do you plan on getting? Is this tournament kid-friendly so I can show my children Mario getting squashed like a bug. Sincerely, a really, REALLY, cool person and Not Bowser." The hand quickly teleported the letter away.
"Well Bowser, I do intend to keep this tournament family friendly so don't worry about those koopalings! If the fighters ever, on any occasion, say curse words, I'll simply bleep them out. Like this," The hand took a deep breath a there was a loud beep that broke the windows of the entire town. "See, perfectly fine. That mistake in DK's round will not be common either. I simply lost control of myself in all the excitement."
"Now then, next question. Dear Master Hand, how do you even get these guys, where do they come from? Well to answer this letter we would have to start talking about
parallel universes. And I'm afraid we have no time for a lesson of multiverse theory. So Next question."
"Dear, Master Hand, will you be allowing any other weapons in the tournament? Why yes, yes I do have plans for that. Just wait until I introduce some in the next match! Next question."
"Dear Master Hand, I've noticed a lot of heroes in this tournament and was wondering if you will add more villain characters into the tournament's roster? Why yes! I have no fear of adding dangerous fiends into my tournament. But I have no intention of shoving them in until later on so I have an understanding of how things are going to work here."
The hand proceeds to rapidly and quickly go over a few more questions until the static turns back on. The hand smiles as the screen shows exactly what he wants. "Ah! I'm sorry! I completely forgot about this part!""What part!? What's going on there!?"
"This is a little tie breaker I've made to fix all of this. I've given it a very simple and understandable title for all to understand…"
The hand teleported and loudly announced to the fighters. "SUDDEN DEATH! GO!"
Samus continued to try to shake off DK from her ship until Master Hands studden reapairence. The hand snapped his fingers and suddenly the two remaining fighters were zapped with black lighting. Samus noticed that this move has locked her suit at 1 small bit of energy with no energy tanks remaining. Samus went back up to the top and noticed DK looked similarly fitgured and damaged. The two began dancing around each other, desperately trying to land a death blow to win the round. As Samus continued to fire from a range, she noticed that the ship was surrounded by a cage of fire. The cage moved at a snail's pace, but one wrong step was enough to end this. Samus quickly rushed at DK, who was preparing to deliver a final attack. Once Samus began charging a blast she rushed into close range to unleash its point plank, DK winded up a charge punch and the two warriors moved in for a powerful clash. The two were neck and neck and the match was brutal, but eventually the two got close enough and unleashed their attacks. DK delivered the strongest punch possible, but Samus was too far away for it to hit Her as the charged blast came in and took DK out.
"GAME!" The hand proudly announced.
"Ah~ another impressive display in this tournament. Now isn't this all exciting?" The viewers let out a cheer but the toads were slightly more 'salty' about their lost.
"Ah don't worry about the smaller failures my friends. There's always other rounds for our favorites to win in. Now then, I have other matures to attend to."
The hand teleported back to Samus and yoinked the orb. "Now, I'll be taking this and saving it for a later date. The last thing I need is for one of you to misuse this artifact. Now I bid you a good day.""What about that deal?"
"Oh, that one? Hmmmmm. I'm afraid the viewers were pomped up about that fight so I can't just let you leave this now. So simply win this tournament, THEN I'll let you free." The hand left with quardients to the next location and what he wants to do. It was an image of Yoshi's Island, and the next round listed that the winner was going to be the one who took out the most Yoshi's in a small set of time.
Samus groaned as she turned her ship away. Looking for wherever the island is located at, and which planet to go to. As she does, a couple of Arwings begin flying around the area, looking for the source of an unidentified energy that quickly appeared and disappeared.
