JC quietly sat off to the side, silently sketching, looking up as Sanu introduced a new member to the drama club, rolling his eyes as the girls gushed over him
'not 4 months ago, half the female student population were gushing over Louis'
he only half listened as the new guy, a Dall Sheep named Pina, introduced himself friendly enough, but Bill voicing his concerns, JC glanced at Legoshi as he sneezed
'getting a cold at this time is bad for him, the altercation in the locker room was a fact hunting mission for seeking the murderer, he wont be able to sniff out whoever killer is, if they attempt to attack him, but I'm sure he'll be fine'
JC looked up as Pina started spouting on, talking about himself as if he was already a Beastar, or something more, then going on, insulting the carnivores, getting all them, minus Legoshi, riled up, JC silently stared before returning to his sketch, looking up again as Legoshi was ousted for being a wolf and the rest of the carnivores defending him, he shook his head and looked back down at his sketch,
"and then of course, we have the one here who is the least good looking, despite him not being a full carnivore" JC snapped off the tip of the pencil he was using when Pina said this, staring blankly "yes, being the oddball in this club, I can see why no one pays any mind to him, I'm just shocked that he hasn't been thrown out due to his lack of physical beauty, unlike myself, of course"
a loud snapping sound caused everyone to look at JC, his eyes furrowed, clutching the snapped pencil in his hand as he quietly stood, everyone's eyes on him, as he glared at Pina, who looked unfazed, JC approached him, dropping the halves of the pencil as he grabbed one of Pina's shoulders
"you better watch what you say, pretty boy" JC said in a restrained, but calm voice "otherwise, you might find yourself being force fed your own horns" JC panted hard before leaving the room, Legoshi and Juno both looking concerned as Pina looked a bit shaken, but got over it quickly.
"who does that playboy think he is?!"
"JC, please, calm yourself"
"if he even lightly insults my or any of the other's looks, I'll see to is personally that he's shorn and hung from the building sign"
"JC!" JC inhaled and sighed, looking down at Haru whom was hugging his arm,
"sorry Haru, I guess I'm a bit riled up" he said, lowering his head into his hands
"it's OK JC, but you shouldn't let these sorts of things get to you, they'll only make you look worse off to others" Haru explained to him,
"i understand, but, what he said, it just riles me up" JC explained "worse than how Juno made me felt when I encountered her in the drama club for the first time, and much more negative, and…..apart from you, I have no one to talk to about all that"
"not true" JC looked down at Haru "you also have Legoshi and his roommates, and Miss Kawa to talk too"
'she's right, I never realised this, all this time, I thought that I could talk about all this to just her, and Louis, if he were around, but with Louis gone, I thought it was just her alone, I guess that shows how ignorant I am'
"hm?" he looked down as Haru's phone buzzed, she looked at it, seeing a message from Legoshi
WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW?
Haru silently looked at JC before replying
JUST SPEAKING WITH JC, DID YOU WANT TO MEET UP?
JC sighed and stood "i should be getting back to my cabin, I have some work to do"
"ok JC" Haru replied "I'll see you later" JC silently headed to the door, paused and looked back and Haru, then he thought of something,
"hey, Haru? it's your last year here, isn't it?" he asked
"hm? Oh yeah, why do you ask?" JC didn't immediately answer, his eyes sweeping over the deserted gardening club, realising what will happen if Haru left with no one to take over,
"no reason, just curious" he replied, leaving
'i should do something, after all, she's helped me out greatly, I think I should return the favour'
JC laid down for the night, it was already late, but he felt like he made some headway into his recent Beetron issue, he inhaled and sighed, thinking of what Pina was saying earlier, then focusing on the gardening club, knowing that it'd be abandoned when the new year started, he was just closing his eyes as he heard a knocking at his door, he got up and answered, seeing Juno there,
"j-Juno? W-why are you out so late and….." his eyes widened then looked sympathetic "h-have you been crying?" she silently looked up at him before throwing her arms around him, gently sobbing into his chest, he gently held her there until she calmed down enough for her to explain everything that happened that night
"….and I didn't know where I could go at all, so I came back here, to the one creature, who really understands" she said, the two of them having moved to the bed to be a bit more comfortable,
"i see, but why did you come to me?" JC questioned, Juno giggled gently, knowing that it was one of JC's little jokes to make her feel better "that's better, no more tears from the prettiest wolf in the school" this made Juno smile more
"thank you JC, you really know how to make me feel better" she said, gently hugging into him, he wrapped his arms around her, she slowly looked up at him, their gazes lingering on the other, both slowly moving together before their lips gently touched, followed by a longer, more passionate kiss, when the separated, Juno pulled JC onto her as she laid down, they laid there for a while, JC blushing a bit "c-can we stay like Th-this…...f-for tonight?" she asked, sounding nervous
"i don't mind, yeah" JC responded, too tired to protest, he gave a gentle smile before the 2 of them dozed off.
JC slowly woke the next morning, looking at the sleeping Juno, he smiled gently, her sleeping was amazingly cute, he leaned in and gently kissed her nose
"your a pretty sight to wake up to" he said as she woke
"morning JC" she groaned as she sat up, JC rolling to the side to allow her to "did you sleep well"
"yeah, thanks" he sat up to look her in the eye, she blushed gently "how about you?"
"yeah, I did, I only hope that this isn't the only time" JC smiled more
"i hope so too" he said, getting up "well, we should get some breakfast, we have a whole day of drama club prep for the autumn show" Juno nodded and stood
"I'll change into my uniform and meet you in the cafeteria" she said "save a seat for me" she added with a smile, leaving the cabin, JC watching her go.
JC, Juno and a small majority of the drama club stared at Legoshi, whose fur was trimmed down so far that it appeared to be white, he silently stared as Legoshi explained what was going on, but JC figured that there was more to the story, remembering back a few days
JC stared at where he saw the heel, he moved to look before jumping in shock from his phone going off, he pulled it out and looked at it, seeing the message he sent to Legoshi

he scrolled up and looked at the reply
SPOKE WITH CARL, FOUND OUT NOTHING, GONNA FIND THAT JOGGER AND ASK THEM
JC nodded and slid the phone into his pocket, vacating the hallway quickly.
Legoshi slowly stood and he headed up to the alcove where he spent a lot of his time, JC followed him
"so, whats the story?" he asked, Legoshi glanced back at him
"i thought I explained that" Legoshi said, JC shook his head
"the public story" he said before lowering his voice "i meant the real story" Legoshi's eyes narrowed a bit before glancing down at the others and turning away
"i was attacked by someone last night" Legoshi explained quietly as he and JC appeared to look busy "I'm guessing that they were the killer, all I got was the feel and taste of their mouth"
"seriously?"
"yeah, then I left the school to find Gohin" Legoshi said "the panda from the black market" he added for JC's confusion
"so that's his name" JC muttered, before speaking out loud "easy Legoshi, you said you'd take it easy" he grabbed the box Legoshi was holding and put it down where it was meant to go "and the reason for your fur?"
"in order to train me, Gohin said that I needed to get rid of it because the Shishigumi know what I look like" JC frowned at the mention of Shishigumi, before remembering what Juno told him about Louis the previous night,
"so, hiding in plain sight"
"exactly" JC nodded when Legoshi said this before turning back to Juno
"you're doing this to protect Haru, I'm doing this for my own reasons" he said, Legoshi looking at where he was looking as Juno, Sheila, Els and Ellen the Zebra left the room after finishing their chores, JC glancing at his watch, noticing that it was nearly lunch time "whelp, lunch time, gotta eat" Legoshi nodded and followed JC down, JC wondering how Juno was feeling about all this
'will she really fall for this new look for Legoshi? Probably, but then again, she's started to turn away from Legoshi, interest-wise, but I guess it's the same way the girls reacted to Louis and Pina, I guess I don't have to worry too much, I hope'
JC carried his lunch to an empty table, unsure if Juno would join him or not, he looked up as she did, she gave a bright smile and started eating, JC slowly started eating,
"so, Legoshi looked different today" he said casually, Juno looking up at him with a small blush,
"uh, yeah, I guess so" she said,
"I'm guessing your crushing on him big time" JC added as he had a drink, Juno stared at him "not that I mind, the short white fur suits him"
"a-are you jealous?"
"hm? Oh, no, it's the same with Louis and Pina, isn't it, all the girls gush over them, but it's all a crush, right?" JC had another fork-full of scrambled eggs before pausing and looking at Juno "right?" he added, sounding a bit worried, he and Juno became closer less then 12 hours ago, he didn't want to ruin it, Juno just returned to her food,
"i guess it is" she said, gently taking his hand, JC looked at her "but i will not drop you like a dirty napkin, especially not after what you told me this morning" JC stared, remembering telling her about his past, he nodded silently before resuming eating, "erm, what is your verdict on his fur?" JC stared at Juno for a bit
"i admit, it was striking at first, I thought he was an oversized arctic wolf" he said with a chuckle "but despite his appearance, he's still our Legoshi"
"yeah, i-i guess so"
Days later, JC was finishing up a sketch of a "monster-of-the-week" on his drawing tablet as he received a text from Legoshi
THE ONLY CLUE I HAVE TO PINPOINTING TEM'S MURDERER SO FAR IS THAT THEY'RE MALE
JC frowned gently at this and lowered his stylus, thinking for a moment
'male huh? That cuts out Juno and Sheila, and they're strong enough to toss Legoshi around, that eliminates Kai, Aoba and Tao, leaving only Bill and Riz'
JC sighed gently before getting an angry text from Juno
I CANNOT BELIEVE LEGOSHI HE GOES OUT OF HIS WAY TO MEET UP WITH ME, AND ALL HE WANTS TO DO IF TO EXAMINE MY MOUTH WHAT A WEIRDO
'hm, he did say that he narrowed it down to a male carnivore, maybe that's how he did it, but still, that's a bit too much on Juno, hm?'
he then got a third text, from Haru this time,
CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON WITH LEGOSHI? HE SEEMS TO BE GOING OUT OF HIS WAY TO AVOID ME
JC frowned again
'that's just great, he seems to be pushing everyone away to try and find the culprit, he's completely alienating Juno and making Haru feel unloved, I need to try and fix this, and quick'
he shot off a text both to Juno and Haru, telling Juno to come by later that night and asking Haru if she was in the gardening club so that he could meet her to talk face-to-face.
"no matter if I try to talk to him, he just looks away and ignores me, and his texts are short and few" Haru said, sounding annoyed "what is his problem, I thought that he was going to get stronger for me and all he's doing is pushing me away"
"he has a good reason for all that Haru" JC said "he's attempting to get stronger for you right now, but he feels that he's not ready to face you because he isn't strong enough yet" Haru looked over at JC
"are you saying that he's scared about disappointing me?" she asked
"pretty much, but I might have an idea about how to get his undivided attention"
"oh really, whats that?"
"you know all the male students you "lay with" often?"
"yeah, what about them?"
"when you see him next, tell him that you got an offer from one of them and that your meeting up with them that night" Haru's eyes widened a bit
"are you sure it'll work?" she asked
"maybe" JC said "he really loves you, and you saying that might grab his attention long enough for you to tell him how you feel about him ignoring you" Haru nodded gently, slowly getting a mischievous grin and giggling a bit
"sounds like a plan" she said "anyway, I heard that you've been seen around a pretty female wolf that had her eye on Legoshi" JC blushed a bit
"y-yeah, we've gotten closer in the last few weeks" JC said, thinking about her
"have you had sex with her yet?" this caught JC off-guard
"w-what? Haru, why would you ask that?"
"it's a legitimate question" Haru responded diplomatically "well? Have you?"
"n-no, not yet, I'm not ready, and I doubt that she is either" JC said with a sigh, looking at Haru when she placed her hand on his
"it's OK JC, you should take your time, I know your nothing like me when it comes to this" she said to him "i know that you want your first time to be special with someone special" JC smiled and hugged her
'you do so much for me Haru, and I'm gonna return the favour'
JC glanced around the gardening club
