Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, I am writing this fanfiction for my own amusement and make no profit, all characters in this story are the property of J.K Rowling, Scholastic, Warner Brothers, ect.

AN: We will be wrapping up the school year in the next three or so chapters, as you have seen the plot is slowly veering away from the canon narrative. It's a werewolf fic so Harry will be focusing more on that and letting the boy who lived deal with everything else.

AN: I've been basing some of the werewolf behavior off of research I have been doing on wild wolf packs, they start out as a mated pair and the pack grows from there. I haven't decided if Harry will have a full pack yet but this is a wolf fic so it's a possibility.

Great Hall, 4/9/1997, 08:35

Harry was having mixed feelings about being back in the castle, he had only seen Luna once since he had come back three days ago.

Harry had gone and visited Colin in the hospital, the boy seemed to be recovering well under Madam Pomfrey and Luna's care. He also seemed to be handling it all pretty well considering the possible outcome of the attack.

Lavender was spending some time with Parvati at the moment so Harry was having a quiet breakfast at the Ravenclaw table.

The news of the attack on Leeds was still big news around the castle and the fear of a werewolf attack without the full moon seemed to be inciting panic throughout the wizarding world as well as Hogwarts.

"You look like a whole swarm of wrackspurts has nested in your head," Luna's voice cut into his musings.

"I was just thinking about these werewolf attacks," Harry said looking at Luna sympathetically.

"Personally I think they're more of a distraction," Luna said seriously.

"Distraction from what?" Harry asked.

"Whatever Voldemort is really planning, the ministry is so focused on the werewolf attacks, they don't notice what the death eaters are up to," Luna answered.

"He has put a lot of effort into the werewolves though," Harry argued.

"Yes, he also benefits from the fear the werewolves are generating," Luna said thoughtfully.

"You've been thinking on this I see," Harry said looking impressed.

"Yes, they hurt Colin. I've been thinking about this since it happened," Luna admitted sadly.

"I don't think he'll be a werewolf he doesn't smell like one," Harry told her encouragingly.

"I don't really care if he is or not, I'm angry that he was attacked in the first place," Luna said in a heated tone.

"Wow, I've never seen you this angry," Harry said in surprise.

"Yeah, I don't like to be angry," Luna said softly.

"It's strange seeing you angry," Harry agreed.

"Hmm, I suppose there is one thing that would make me feel a little better," Luna said thoughtfully.

"What's that?" Harry asked curiously.

In answer Luna pulled out her wand and aimed down the table, Harry followed the direction her wand was pointing and saw that it led to Cho Chang who was about to take a sip of steaming coffee.

Harry watched in anticipation as a shimmer left Luna's wand and traveled the distance to Chang's cup, Harry watched on as scalding hot coffee was sprayed all over her making her shriek in surprise and not a little pain

Harry turned to look at Luna who was smiling viciously.

"Ouch," Harry said watching Chang sprint from the hall.

"Yes, I do feel better now," Luna said sounding a bit like her old self.

"That's a bit disturbing," Harry said eyeing Luna warily.

"So do you want to go pet the thestrals after lunch," Luna asked hopefully.

"Sure, I haven't been in the forest since September," Harry said dismissing his earlier thoughts.

"Why are you going into the forest," Lavender asked taking a seat beside him.

"Harry's going to take me to see the thestrals," Luna said happily.

"You mean those invisible horse things?" Lavender asked.

"We can see them," Harry pointed out.

"You two have fun, I was coming over here to let you know that I won't be at lunch. Parvati wants me to help her with a divination project," Lavender said.

"Alight, I hope you two have fun as well," Harry said before turning to Luna and saying, "I'll meet you in the entrance hall at noon."

"So your not mad?" Lavender asked sounding surprised.

"No, you need to spend time with your friends too," Harry said with a shrug.

"So what just happened to Chang?" Lavender asked after giving Harry a grateful smile.

"Her coffee seemed to errupt from her cup, maybe it was nargles," Luna said excitedly.

Harry snorted, he was actually quite surprised at how good Luna was at putting on 'the quirky act', if he hadn't seen her cast the spell he would have totally believed her act.

"That's awful," Lavender said.

"No, it would be amazing if it were a nargle," Luna argued.

"But Cho could have been badly hurt," Lavender said looking worried.

"Pish, magical medicine can do amazing things," Luna said dismissively.

"Well it's about time we got to class," Harry said before the ladies back and forth turned into an argument.

"You're right, I will see you at dinner," Lavender said before giving him a peck on the lips and rushing off.

"I don't know about that one, she was worried about Chang," Luna said in a dubious tone.

"She has a soft heart and cares for other people," Harry defended.

"Hmm, I'll see you at noon," Luna said before she too left for class.

Hogwarts Library, 4/10/1997, 17:48

Harry and Lavender were sitting at Harry's spot while he helped her with her essay on dementors.

"You never did tell me how things went in the forest," Lavender commented.

"The thestrals weren't there," Harry said sounding disappointed.

"What?" Lavender asked surprised.

"We were worried so we went to see Hagrid, he said that this is their mating season and they go deeper into the forest and pair off," Harry explained.

"I'm sorry I know she would have like to see them," Lavender said.

"She'll be fine, Colin will be out of the gospital in two days and she'll be back to her old self," Harry assured her.

"I hope so, she has seemed different lately," Lavender said sounding concerned.

Before Harry could reply another voice cut into their conversation.

"Potter, I need a favor," Daphne cut in taking a seat across from them.

"Oh boy, what do you need?" Harry asked warily.

"I want to buy that dose of felix felicis you won in potions class," Daphne said getting straight to it.

"Why?" Harry asked feeling hesitant to part with the little bottle.

"I have a client that will pay out the nose for it," Daphne answered candidly.

"How much are you offering?" Harry asked resignedly.

"One-hundred and twenty galleons," Daphne said making Lavender gasp.

"That much?" Harry asked suddenly not feeling so hesitant.

"Apparently it is crucial the customer gets the potion," Daphne said with a shrug.

"Alright you have a deal, meet me at my dorm at eight," Harry said making a snap decision.

"Thank you, I'll be there," Daphne said before taking her leave.

"She is going to pay you that much for a single dose of potion?" Lavender asked incredulously.

"Yeah, I'm a bit shocked myself," Harry admitted.

"What does the potion do anyway?" Lavender asked intrigued.

"It makes you lucky in everything you do for twelve hours," Harry explained.

"Oh now that makes more sense, why haven't you already taken it?" Lavender asked.

"Because I'm already pretty lucky, I got you to be my girlfriend didn't I?" Harry asked charmingly.

"That has to be the cheesiest thing I ever heard," Lavender said though her cheeks were tinged pink.

"Alright fine, I was saving it at first but I honestly forgot I had it after what happened at Christmas," Harry confessed.

"So you're just going to sell it?" Lavender asked.

"Yeah, I'm not sure it will work on a werewolf anyway and I'm pretty sure I can buy the ingredients to brew a whole cauldron full for fifty galleons if I wanted to," Harry said with a shrug.

"Okay, can we go back to the dorm?" Lavender asked innocently.

"Yeah but Daphne won't be there for almost two hours," Harry said in confusion.

"I know but if we go back now you might get lucky without having to use that potion," Lavender whispered.

'Knock Knock '

Harry came out of the room hastily pulling a tee-shirt over his head, Lavender had just dashed into the bathroom when she heard the knock on the door.

Time had gotten away from them a bit and Harry was quickly getting dressed on his way to open the door.

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything," Daphne said with a smirk as she noticed his ruffled appearance.

"Of course not we were just studying," Harry said forcing himself not to blush.

"Yes, I can see that," Daphne said still smirkng.

"So what's the deal with you and Longbottom going to the ball together?" Harry asked changing the subject.

"He owed me a favor and my betrothed has already left Hogwarts so I needed an escort," Daphne said matter of factly.

"Oh," Harry said.

"Now enough about our personal lives, do you have the potion?" Daphne asked expectantly.

"Right, I'll get just go get it," Harry said wandering over to his trunk.

He had to dig to the very bottom before finding the box he kept his assorted potions in and dug out the tiny bottle of felix felicis.

"Here," Harry said passing her the bottle.

Daphne held it up to the light inspecting the potion before checking the wax seal at the top.

"I'm almost insulted," Harry said with a smirk.

"Don't be, I have my own reputation to look out for," Daphne said as she pulled out a tiny money pouch and unshrunk it.

"So I guess you can't tell me who's buying this," Harry asked already knowing the answer.

"No I cannot, here is your gold one hundred and twenty galleons", Daphne said handing him the heavy money pouch.

Just then the bathroom door opened and Lavender came out dressed in her nightwear.

" Hello Lavender," Daphne said politely.

"Daphne, I meant to say something earlier but we're having another spa day on Saturday if you would like to join us," Lavender said taking a seat on the bed.

Daphne smiled at that and said, "I would love that, can I bring Astoria and Tracey?"

"Of course you're all welcome to come, Parvati was able to smuggle some wine back over break, it should be a proper girl's day," Lavender said excitedly.

"Excellent I believe I can bring a bottle or two as well," Daphne said thoughtfully.

"You girls had better not get drunk," Harry warned.

"Don't worry yourself, Potter, we won't come staggering into the great hall," Daphne assured him.

"Good the last thing I need is a hungover girlfriend," Harry said.

"I might be a little tipsy after but I don't want a hangover either," Lavender promised.

"I am afraid I must be getting back if I am lucky I can get in touch with my customer before curfew," Daphne said.

"I'll see you Saturday," Lavender said as Daphne exited their room.

"I wonder who is buying the potion," Lavender asked curiously.

"I asked her, she wouldn't say but I have a hunch it's Longbottom," Harry said thoughtfully.

"What makes you think that?" Lavender asked curiously.

"There are only a handful of students attending Hogwarts that can afford to pay the price she's going to get for that potion and I know she wouldn't sell something like that to a darker family, Longbottom is one of the wealthiest students in Hogwarts right now. Plus she said he owed her a favor," Harry reasoned out.

"Oh you're probably right, now would you like to finish what we started?" Lavender asked innocently.

"Like you have to ask," Harry said pulling his shirt off.

Great Hall, 4/15/1997, 17;19

The drain was just starting and Harry felt unusually irritable this time around, he hid it well but it seems like almost everyone was getting on his nerves.

"You look really annoyed," Lavender said taking a seat.

"It's the drain," Harry said simply.

"That's odd mine has been a bit easier than the last three," Lavender said sounding worried.

"I just feel like every little thing gets on my nerves," Harry said before a very low deep growl left his lips and people within earshot jumped in fright.

Harry's eyes had gone the greenish amber of his wolf form and he was staring intently at the door.

Lavender looked over curiously before turning towards the door wondering what Harry had sensed.

Not long after Dennis Creevey entered the hall and Lavender watched as Harry eyes followed him to the Gryffindor table.

Taking a sniff Lavender immediately understood why Harry was on alert, The younger Creevey brother smelled like them, she could tell he was a wolf.

"What's the matter with him?" Luna said leading Colin over to sit with them.

"He is picking up on another male wolf in the hall," Lavender said softly.

"Me?!" Colin asked worriedly.

"No, your brother," Harry said not breaking his stare.

"Are you sure?" Colin asked.

"According to my nose he's a wolf," Lavender said before nudging Harry.

"What?" Harry asked.

"Get control of yourself," Lavender said firmly.

Harry turned and looked at Lavender incredulously, "It's not that easy if you remember", Harry said but he did turn to look at her.

" Whoa, look at those teeth," Luna said in amazement.

"All the better to eat you with my dear," Harry said with a grin as his teeth slowly receded.

"Red Ridinghood jokes?" Colin asked with a shake of his head.

"What's Red Ridinghood?" Lavender asked curiously.

"A muggle bedtime story about a girl that wore a red hooded cloak and a wolf," Harry said with a shrug.

"So how can my brother be a wolf when I'm not?" Colin asked confused.

"Were you bitten by the same wolf?" Harry asked thoughtfully.

"No, I was bitten by this ugly little brown one. Dennis got nipped by this massive gray one when we were escaping out the window," Colin said thoughtfully.

"A gray one?" Harry asked alarmed.

"Well not all gray he just had this massive gray patch on his... oh bugger," Colin said in sudden realization.

"There's your answer, Fenrir Greyback is an alpha, and as my beautiful mate proved alphas have a more potent bite," Harry said smiling at Lavender.

"Bugger," Colin said again.

"That about sums it up," Harry agreed before staring at the table and saying, "extra rare steak."

Harry smiled when a large steak appeared on his empty plate and he happily dug into it.

"How did you know that would work?" Lavender asked after copying Harry.

"I didn't, just figured I would give it a try," Harry admitted with a grin.

Luna stated at the table in deep concentration before saying, " chocolate pudding cake."

Nothing happened making the other three snigger.

"Oh poo!" Luna said in dismay.

Room of Requirement, 4/22/1997, 21:23

Harry and Lavender were watching as a terrified Colin Creevey entered the room escorted by the headmaster.

"Mr. Potter Ms. Brown, if I could ask you to step to the other side of the room I will ask the room to create a barrier between you and these two gentlemen," Dumbledore asked after Dennis Creevey stepped into the room.

Harry and Lavender wandered over to the other side of the door on the edge of the artificial forest and watched as a crystal clear sheet of glass seemed to rise out of the floor all the way to the ceiling, completely separating Harry and Lavender from the Creevey brothers, then another barrier formed between the two brothers effectively containing them in separate twenty by twenty foot clear cages.

"This room is truly magnificent," Dumbledore said happily his voice carrying through the barrier easily.

"So if we don't change can we leave?" Colin asked hesitantly.

"I'm afraid not Mr. Creevey, after the incident last full moon the doors will be sealed until Sunrise," Dumbledore answered.

"Oh but what if-

" Headmaster it's starting," Harry warned as he felt the telltale twisting in his stomach.

"Yes, we got here a bit later than I intended, well good evening and good luck to you all," Dumbledore said before quickly darting out the door.

Harry and Lavender quickly retreated deeper into the room to where Harry had placed their bag of clothes to get some privacy for their change.

The transformation was smooth, neither experiencing much pain having become accustomed to the feeling of their skeletons being rearranged, though Harry would admit the sound of his bones rearranging was still nauseating to hear.

Now both in wolf form they ventured back to the barrier to check on the newcomers and came upon a terrified Colin Creevey looking at the other compartment where a medium-sized brown wolf was trying desperately to get through the invisible barrier and attack his brother.

Harry felt a sudden urge to assert himself over the brown wolf but pushed it back, his human mind knowing that trying to get to Dennis would be an exercise in futility.

Raising his head and howling into the room Harry took of at a fast run through the room, trying to put distance between himself and the Creevey brothers.

Lavender suddenly pulled in front of him so that Harry was chasing her, making him feel a sense of Deja vu, this was reminding him of those dreams he had been having for months.

Harry couldn't smell the other wolf any longer, the smell of his mate filling his senses making him forget about anything else.

Lavender slowed a bit as they neared the end of the room and Harry pounced tackling his mate, she yipped at him as she rolled with his momentum and ended up pinning him to the ground her paws pressed into his shoulders.

Harry looked up into his mate's eyes Lavender looked so pretty even as a wolf the moonlight reflected off of her white fur giving her a look that made it seem like she was glowing.

Harry felt his wolf's instincts stir more powerfully than he had experienced before and it took all of his willpower not to succumb to the wolf.

Harry had read what had happened when two transformed wolves had mated and Harry did not wish for Lavender to experience an accelerated pregnancy for the next three months.

When two werewolves conceived on the full moon the child was born a wolf on the third full moon after, they were werewolves without aggression towards humans, they still possessed human-like intelligence but stayed in a wolf form their entire life. Rumor had it there was a pack of these natural born werewolves living in the forbidden forest.

Lavender let him up and took off sprinting through the room again and Harry took chase enjoying the thrill of chasing the white wolf.

The rest of the night the two played in the forest chasing each other and just cutting loose in their wolf form. Harry had to admit with this new room changing into a werewolf had become a lot easier.

Harry woke up spooned behind Lavender as had become the norm the morning after a transformation, they were laying in the same clearing as last time, Harry had placed their bag of clothes here last night before they changed predicting they would end up here.

"That was an interesting night," Harry said sleepily.

"It was," Lavender replied sleepily.

"Did you feel different last night?" Harry asked stretching.

"Yes, Snow wanted you to...

" Yeah I know, I felt it as well," Harry admitted blushing a bit.

"I wonder how the Creevey's are doing?" Lavender asked changing the subject.

"Well, I would hazard a guess that Colin didn't get any sleep last night," Harry said with a chuckle as he slowly climbed to his feet.

"Yes, Dennis seemed eager to get through that barrier," Lavender said with a giggle.

"Well, I think that will count as his punishment for shagging my surrogate sister Harry said as he pulled up his trousers.

" That's mean," Lavender reprimanded though she couldn't hide the laugh in her voice.

Harry stopped what he was doing when Lavender started getting dressed, something about her bending down to pull up her knickers was very distracting.

"Hey ogle me later, I want to get out of here and get to bed," Lavender said noticing that his eyes were locked onto her.

"Yeah sorry," Harry said shaking those thoughts from his head and pulling on his shirt.

"Don't be, I'm just tired," Lavender said with a smile.

"Alright I'm ready, here's some pepper up," Harry said handing her a vial.

Harry downed his own before watching Lavender do the same.

"Alright let's go check on the other two," Lavender said walking towards the other end of the room.

"Uh Lavender," Harry said hesitantly.

"Yes?"

"You might want to hang back," Harry said thoughtfully.

"Why?" Lavender asked curiously.

"Do you remember the morning after our first transformation?" Harry asked.

"Yes," Lavender answered confused.

"Dennis is probably naked and doesn't have any clothes... Harry trailed off.

" Oh, yeah your right," Lavender said stopping in her tracks.

"I'll call for you in just a second," Harry said as he continued walking to the other end of the room.

Harry stepped out of the forest to see an exhausted Colin standing over his sleeping brother the glass barriers must have collapsed at sunrise.

"Long night?" Harry asked cheerfully.

"Yeah, he tried to get through the barrier all night," Colin said sounding awful.

Harry nodded his understanding before pointing his wand at Dennis and conjuring some pajamas over his nude form.

"You can come over Lavender," Harry called behind him.

"How come you two are dressed? Dennis shredded his clothes to pieces," Colin asked.

"After the first time we always bring clothes and transform in a bathrobe," Harry said as Lavender exited the forest.

"How is he?" Lavender asked.

"Still asleep," Harry said as the door opened and Madam Pomfrey came into the room.

"So what was the verdict?" Pomfrey asked as she came up to their group.

"Dennis is a werewolf," Colin said sadly.

"But you are not?" Pomfrey asked somewhat surprised.

"No ma'am, " Colin answered.

"Very well, I will report this to the headmaster and that bracelet will be removed in the next few days," Pomfrey said in a business-like tone.

"Yes ma'am," Colin said meekly.

Madam Pomfrey then began running scans over Dennis and nodding before turning to Colin, " The first transformation has pushed him into magical exhaustion," Pomfrey said after finishing her scan.

"Well he did stay up all night trying to eat me," Colin said with a shrug.

"That was not one of Albus' better ideas but I admit Mr. Creevey's transformation was unexpected," Pomfrey said thoughtfully.

"When will he wake up?" Colin asked as Poppy conjured a stretcher under Dennis.

"Probably by this afternoon, I will be going now. Mr. Creevey if you feel off in any way please come to the infirmary at once," the matron said as she levitated the youngest Creevey brother out of the room.

"Well congratulations, you're not a mindless ravenous murderous beast," Harry said cheerfully.

"Thanks but my brother is," Colin said glumly.

"Don't worry, we'll look after him next month," Lavender said softly patting Colin's shoulder.

"Yeah, the might be a bit complicated Harry admitted.

" Why?" Colin asked.

"Because he is another male and Darkness is very territorial," Harry said softly looking meaningfully at Lavender.

"Oh, that could be a problem," Lavender said worriedly.

"I think this is something I will have to talk to Remus about," Harry said before turning to Colin, "I am sorry about your brother but it's not as bad as it seems."

"Thanks, I'm just glad my parents were at a movie when the attack happened," Colin said softly.

"It isn't as hard to deal with as you think, just keep an eye on him the wizarding world is pretty awful to our kind," Lavender told the boy sadly.

"I will try and look out for him too, if I can get a hold of my own instincts that is," Harry offered.

"Thanks, that would mean a lot to us both," Colin said gratefully

"Don't mention it, now while I have you here. You and Luna's private life is none of my business, that being said, if you get her pregnant I will find a way to get you in here on the next full moon," Harry said deadly serious.

"Harry!" Lavender exclaimed.

"What? it had to be said," Harry defender before turning to Colin and asking, " Are we clear?"

"Yes, we're clear. I have been using muggle protection as an added precaution," Colin assured him.

"I don't want to know," Harry exclaimed shaking his head to rid the thoughts from his mind.

"You're such a baby sometimes," Lavender said with a giggle.

"She's like my sister I don't want to know about her in that way," Harry defended.

"Sorry," Colin said looking like he wanted to be anywhere else right now.

"Can we go now, I need a shower and some sleep?" Lavender asked pointedly.

"Yeah come on," Harry said heading towards the door and the other two following.

The walk through the school was quiet and Harry and Lavender parted ways with Colin on the second floor.

"Come on Snow, let's get some rest," Harry said when the entered the room.

"You go ahead I want a shower first," Lavender said before heading into the bathroom.

Harry just barely got undresssed before he crawled under the covers and fell asleep almost as soon as his head hit the pillow.

Harry's Dorm, 4/23/1997/22:15

"Harry what can I do for you?" Remus asked from Harry's communication mirror.

"I need advice," Harry admitted.

"Of course, whatever I can do," Remus said with an encouraging smile.

"The younger of the Creevey brothers transformed last night, but for the last week he's had me on edge," Harry explained.

"Oh brother, your picking up on an unfamiliar male in your territory," Remus said hesitantly.

"Yes, it's weird because I was around you for a week and didn't feel anything like this," Harry said confused.

"Because I helped raise you, even your wolf side recognized me as family. A strange male wolf around your mate is bound to raise your hackles. I imagine it will be worse for you since you're an alpha," Remus said thoughtfully.

"Yes, that's what I thought. Last night when I transformed the wolf was urging me to make him submit to me," Harry said.

"I admit that I don't have much experience with pack social etiquette, I have always been more of a loner. I believe that once you do make the boy submit to you that you will pretty much be bringing him into your pack," Remus said thoughtfully.

"Would that be a good thing, I don't think I'm ready to start my own pack," Harry admitted.

"I don't know, like I said I never wanted to be part of a pack I always pushed the wolf back as far as I could manage," Remus admitted.

"I will have to think about this, I don't want to end up hurting the kid if he gets to close to Lavender," Harry said after some thought.

"Let me know what you figure out," Remus said.

"Remus, have you ever read 'The Beast Within', it's really helped me A lot in dealing with this?" Harry asked changing the subject to something else he had been meaning to discuss with his uncle.

"No, I've never heard of that one," Remus said sounding curious.

"It was written by a werewolf in the sixteenth century and it goes into a lot of detail about becoming at one with your wolf, it even describes a way to transform without the full moon," Harry said excitedly.

"That's impossible," Remus said looking horrified.

"No it's not, I can already change my teeth and fingernails," Harry said proudly.

"Wait your actually trying to do it?! Remus exclaimed worriedly.

" Of course, I like running in my wolf form and it could definitely come in handy one day, I don't see much difference between this and an anmagus transformation," Harry said with a shrug.

"Do you have any idea how dangerous that could be?" Remus demanded.

"It's not dangerous, you only get the madness on the full moon," Harry said dismissively.

"I still think it's a bad idea, why would you want to become a monster?" Remus asked.

"Because it's part of who I am now," Harry said getting annoyed at Remus' attitude.

"You need to push that back, lock the wolf away and strive to remain as human as possible" Remus insisted.

"Why?" Harry asked in exasperation.

"Because being a werewolf is not something to be proud of, the wizarding world hates us if we try hard enough we can fit in and not be noticed, being a werewolf is a disease nothing more" Remus implored.

"Yeah, fuck that. I am not hiding if the wizarding world doesn't like me then fuck 'em," Harry said dismissively.

"So you plan on separating yourself from normal people like all the other wolf packs," Remus asked incredulously.

"Yes if necessary, I will not hide who I am and I will not let the wizarding world look down on me, my mate, or my children," Harry said firmly.

"You're starting to sound like Greyback," Remus said angrily.

"He wasn't wrong about shunning the wizarding world, they have oppressed us for the past five hundred years," Harry said with a shrug.

"He's infecred hundreds of people mostly children and you're agreeing with him!?" Remus asked furiously.

"I don't plan on infecting anyone, I just don't think we should roll over for the wizarding world," Harry said firmly.

"You're heading down a dangerous road Harry," Remus warned.

"We can't all live in fear Remus," Harry said sarcastically.

"I think we're done here, good night Harry," Remus said stiffly before closing the connection.

"Fucking hypocrite," Harry said to what he thought was an empty room.

"Children?" Lavender asked breathily.

"How long were you listening?" Harry asked blushing at the tender look Lavender was giving him.

"Long enough to know that Remus is a self-hating werewolf, but did you mean the part about children?" lavender asked undeterred.

"Yes, we're mated for life according to all my research and I definitely want to have children one day," Harry said rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment.

"Does that mean we will get married?" Lavender asked hopefully a tear running down her cheek.

"According to what I've read about werewolves we already are as far as magic is concerned, but I would like to have a ceremony one day," Harry said with a slight blush.

Harry didn't expect Lavender to get to him so fast nor for her to tackle him onto the bed and begin kissing him very heatedly.

For some reason, his earlier argument with Remus was completely forgotten.
