Friendship is Magic Part 2
Nightmare Moon continued to laugh evilly. The Digimon all sprang into action. The DigiDestined back up their Digimon partners.
"Let's go get her, guys!" Veemon said.
"Right!" Hawkmon agreed.
The Digimon all launched their attacks at the evil Alicorn.
Veemon, "V-Headbutt!"
Wormmon, "Sticky Net!"
Hawkmon, "Feather Strike!"
Armadillomon, "Diamond Shell!"
Patamon, "Boom Bubble!"
All of their attacks has been reflected by Nightmare Moon as she growled.
"You dare to challenge me?!" Nightmare Moon snarled.
"We'll do more than challenge you. This litter box isn't big enough for the two of us," Gatomon said.
"What can you hope to do to me, you sorry creature?" Nightmare Moon asked. Gatomon leapt right at the evil Alicorn.
Gatomon, "Lightning Paw!" She lands a hit onto her. Nightmare Moon unleashed right at the Digimon.
"Veemon!"
"Patamon!"
"Gatomon!"
"Hawkmon!"
"Wormmon!"
"Armadillomon!"
"Seize her! Only she knows where the Princess is!" Mayor Mare said. The pegasus guards all flew to capture her.
"Stand back, you foals!!" Nightmare Moon hissed. She generates gigantic thunderbolts and knocks the guards back.
"Hey, Queen Meanie! Why don't you pick on someone your own size!" Davis shouted, firing his unicorn magic at her.
"He used my nickname for her!" Pinkie said.
"You dare to strike me, you insolant little colt! As Princess of Eqestria, your punishment is banishment from existence! And from my sight!" Nightmare Moon shouted, firing her magic right at Davis. THe DigiDestined all gasped.
"Davis!" The DigiDestined and the Digimon gasped. Davis grints his teeth as his horn glows and vanishes. They all gasped as Nightmare Moon shifts into dark blue mist and escapes from the city hall.
"Ergh..." Applejack goraned. Applejack tried to hold down Rainbow Dash. Eventually, the cyan pegasus finally broke free, sending Applejack flying backwards as Rainbow Dash tried to chase after the Mare in the Moon.
"Come back here!" Rainbow Dash shouted.
"Davis, no," Veemon said as he started to cry.
"I don't believe it. Davis is dead," Kari cried right into TK's shoulders.
"How will we ever face Davis's family?" TK asked. Davis shows up.
"Same way as always," Davis said. The DigiDestined all were shocked to see their leader alive.
"Davis!" Veemon tackled his partner in a hug. "I am so glad you're alive!"
"It's a miracle to see you safe and sound, Davis, but how did you survive that blast?" Ken asked.
"I don't know. I just thought of being out her way and then, I went poof and I ended up somewhere else," Davis said.
"Where's Twilight?" Kari asked.
"She must be heading for the library! She might know what to do about Nightmare Moon," Cody said.
"Yes, and about these Elements of Harmony," Hawkmon said.
"But, what are the Elements of Harmon?" Wormmon asked.
"That's what we're going to find out," Ken said.
"Nighttime? Forever?" Rainbow Dash asked, looking arouond. She spots Twilight leaving the city hall. "Where's she going?" She spots the DigiDestined and the Digimon all following her. "Where are they going?"
"Rainbow, come on!" Applejack shouted to her.
"Hey, I think she knows something!" Rainbow Dash said.
"I agree. She knew who she was!" Rarity said.
"Nightmare Moon," Fluttershy shuttered.
"I always Nightmare Moon was just an old ponies' tale," Applejack said.
"So, did I," Rarity said.
"We gotta go to the library and find out what she knows about meanie, queenie, bo-beanie!" Pinkie said. They all agreed and went off to the library to see what Twilight knows.
Back in Odaiba, they searched around the park and so far, they didn't find any clues. Agumon sniffed the air to find them. His scense of smell led them to the spot they disappeared.
"Is this the spot where they disappeared, Agumon?" Tai asked.
"I'm sure of it, Tai. There's no denying it," Agumon said.
"Not only that, I'm picking up a reading on my Digivice," Izzy said. The rest all looked at their Digivices as well.
"But where are they?" Joe asked.
"They probably went through," Izzy said, sticking his arm in a strange rift, "HERE!" They all were shocked. Izzy pulls his arm back out.
"They went through there?" Matt asked.
"So, let's go in there and fish them out!" Tai said.
"Hold on! We don't know if it's dangerous," Izzy said.
"But we have to risk it!" Matt said.
"Matt, I know what you're going through, so I want to help them just as bad as you do," Sora said to her ex-boyfriend.
"For all we know, there might be a world where Digimon and people might switch skins, and I don't want to risk it because I'm still using mine!" Mimi said.
"Hopefully it's not that place. And hopefully it doesn't exist," Izzy said.
The original DigiDestined and their Digimon all pondered on what to do.
Back in Ponyville, Twilight places Spike down in a small bed.
"Uh... We gotta stop Nightmare..." Spike said as he was falling asleep.
"You've been up all night, Spike. You are a baby dragon after all," Twilight said, turning off the lights. She searches the library for a book about the Elements of Harmony. "Elements, elements, elements... Ugh! How can I stop Nightmare Moon without the Elements of Harmony?" Rainbow Dash flew right into Twilight's face.
"And just what are the Elements of Harmony? And how did you know about Nightmare Moon, huh? Are you a spy? Whoa!" Rainbow Dash yelped as Applejack pulled her by her tail.
"Simmer down, Sally. She ain't no spy. But she sure knows what's going on. Don't you, Twilight?" Applejack asked.
"You might as well tell them, Twilight. They saw her with thier own eyes, just like we did," Yolei said. Twilight sighed.
"I read all about the prediction of Nightmare Moon. Some mysterious objects called the Elements of Harmony are the only things that can stop her, but I don't know what they are, where to find them; I don't even know what they do!" Twilight said.
"But that doesn't answer what they are," Cody said.
"And it doens't answer what they do," TK said.
"The Elements of Harmony: A Reference Guide," Pinkie read aloud. Hearing the title, Twilight zipped over and pushed the pink pony out of the way.
"How did you find that?!" Twilight asked.
"It was under 'E'!" Pinkie answere in a sing-song voice as she bounced.
"Oh," Twilight said.
"There are six Elements of Harmony, but only five are known: Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Honesty and Loyalty. The sixth is a complete mystery. It is said, the last known location of the five elements was in the ancient castle of the royal pony sisters. It is located in what is now the Everfree Forest," Twilight read. Unknown to them, the mist was spying on them and went off to the Everfree Forest.
"The Everfree Forest?" The ponies all shivered.
"Well, what are we waiting for, guys? We'll just have to find the castle and get the Elements of Harmony," Davis said.
"Are you crazy? The Everfree Forest is crawling with all kinds of monsters inside!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Monsters like manticores, chimeras, and cocktrices," Rarity said.
"We can handle monsters," Davis said.
"Yeah, we did it before," Veemon added.
"Besides, you're going in there to find the Elements," Gatomon said.
"So, why not let us tag along?" Kari asked.
"Ya'll got a point there. Yer even braver than a jackrabbit going up against a hawk," Applejack said.
"Then, it's settled, we're all heading to the Everfree Forest," Ken said.
"Yeah, there's nothing better than to give that Nightmare Moon a piece of my mind!" Yolei said.
Everyone and everypony all agreed and started to head for the Everfree Forest.
Back in Odaiba, the original DigiDestined were trying to figure out how to approach the strange gateway.
"So, who's going to be first?" Tai asked.
"Should we draw straws?" Gabumon asked.
"Or maybe we can do rock, paper, scissors," Gomamon said.
"Okay, let's try it," Tai said. "Whoever loses goes in first."
"RIght," the other DigiDestined all said.
"Rock, paper, scissors, go!" All of the DigiDestined and Digimon all went at the same time. Agumon came out as paper as the rest came out as scissors.
"Sorry, Agumon, scssors cuts paper," Biyomon said.
"Nuts," Agumon goraned. He took in a deep breath and he stepped in the portal. Agumon disappears inside of it. One by one, the other DigiDestined and Digimon all follow inside and vanish inside.
They all arrived in Equestria and saw that it was indeed night. The Digimon all saw their partners had been turn into ponies.
Tai became a light orange unicorn with a brown tail, matching his hair. He has the Crest of Courage as his Cutie Mark. Matt came out as an indigo pegasus with a blonde tail with the Crest of Friendship as his Cutie Mark. Sora came out as a pink pegasus with the Crest of Love as her Cutie Mark. Izzy came out as a maroon unicorn with the Crest of Knowledge as his Cutie Mark. Mimi came out as a lime green earth pony with the crest of Sincerity as a Cutie Mark. And Joe came out as a white earth pony with the Crest of Reliabity as his cutie mark.
"Well, looks like we made it," Tai said. He sees Agumon and the other Digimon all looking at their partners funny.
"Tai, is that you?" Agumon asked.
"Sure it's me, Agumon, who else could I be?" Tai asked as he looked at the rest of the DigiDestined and saw that they're all ponies. "What the?!" The DigiDestined all saw that they're ponies.
"Fascinating. We must have taken the forms of the local life forms that inhabit this world," Izzy said.
"In other words, we're ponies," Joe said. "Great, I think I'm going to start finding some salt licks," Joe said.
"Just why did we change and not the Digimon?" Matt asked.
"I don't know, I gotta admit, I can used to this," Mimi said.
"You would," Tai said.
"Say, how about we ride on you?" Agumon asked as he got on Tai's back. "Giddyup!" The other Digimon all did the same thing and started to ride on their human partners in their pony forms.
"It might be a theroy, but it would seem that the transformation must have matched us with our ideal equine," Izzy said. Izzy felt that he had a horn on his head. "Tai and I are unicorns, Matt and Sora are pegasi, while Joe and Mimi are regular ponies."
"That's real fascinating, Izzy, but where do we start looking for Davis and the others?" Sora asked.
"We'll have to check out that town and ask the inhabitants," Tentomon said.
"But shouldn't we wait until it's light out?" Joe asked.
"It's too important to wait, Joe. Let's go," Tai said. The orginal DigiDestined and their Digimon partners ventured into Ponyville to search for their missing friends.
Meanwhile, at the edge of the Everfree Forest, the Mane Six, the DigiDestined, and the Digimon all arrived to the forest.
"So, that's the Everfree Forest," TK said.
"It doesn't look so scary to me," Davis said.
"That's because it's just the outside," Applejack said.
"It's what's inside the woods that's truly dreadful," Rarity said.
"Whee! Let's go!" Pinkie said. Pinkie Pie bounced forward to the entrance of the forest when Twilight Sparkle ran in front of her stopping the party pony in her tracks.
"Not so fast. Look, I appreciate the offer, but I'd really rather do this on my own," Twilight said.
"No can do, sugarcube," Applejack firmly said. "We sure ain't lettin' any friend of ours go into that creepy place alone. We're stickin' to you like caramel on a candy apple."
"Besides, we're in this together," Gatomon said.
"Especially if there's candy apples in there," Pinkie Pie said as Twilight and the DigiDestined all looked at her funny. "What? Those things are good."
"I can't help but wonder what goes through her mind," Ken said.
"I think we're better off not knowing," TK said.
"She'll probably have cotton candy on the mind," Patamon joked.
They caught up with the rest of their friends as they ventured through the woods.
"This place is even creepier than I thought," Veemon said. "Not that I'm scared or anything."
"This place is even creepier than Jun putting on makeup," Davis said.
"We should stay together, because it looks easy to get lost in this forest," Cody said.
"So, none of you have been in here before?" Twilight asked.
"Ugh, heavens no! Just look at it - it's dreadful," Rarity said.
"And no wonder," Kari said.
"And it ain't natural. Folks say it don't work the same as Equestria," Applejack said.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Twilight asked.
"Nopony knows. You know why?" Rainbow Dash asked. The way she lowered her voice, Rainbow Dash made it sound as if she were about to tell a scary ghost story. It was more than enough for Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy to shiver nervously. Hawkmon and Wormmon were also shivering.
"Uh, why?" Hawkmon asked while he's shaking.
"It's not going to give us nightmares, is it?" Wormmon asked.
"Rainbow, quit it," Applejack said.
"Cause everypony who's ever come in has never come out!" Rainbow Dash concluded, scaring Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Hawkmon, and Wormmon, making them scream. Suddenly, there was a loud crash, as the ground beneath their hooves gave away. Every pony screamed as they slid along the steep slope. Only TK, Ken, Patamon, Hawkmon, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were able to avoid the drop, but saw their friends were in danger.
"Kari!" TK gasped.
"Yolei!" Ken and Hawkmon gasped.
"Fluttershy! Quick!" Rainbow Dash said, shouted as she swooped down. TK, Ken, Patamon, and Hawkmon followed the cyan pony.
"Oh my goodness, oh my goodness," Fluttershy panicked as she joins them. They all screamed as Cody grabbed Armadillomon as he skids down with his claws. Just when Davis was about to grab Kari, TK swoops in to save Kari along with Gatomon. Applejack managed to clamp her feet on a root to stop sliding. Rainbow scooped up Pinkie Pie, while Fluttershy grabbed Rarity's tail slowing her down. Ken swoops up Yolei as Patamon and Hawkmon saved Wormmon, Cody, and Armadillomon. Rainbow Dash grabbed Davis as Fluttershy grabs Veemon.
"You okay, Kari?" TK asked.
"I am. Thanks to you," Kari said.
Twilight was losing ground fast and soon dangled over the edge of the cliff. Storm tried to hold on, but part of the cliff he held onto suddenly broke away.
"Hold on! I'm a-comin'!" Applejack called out. She let's go of the root and slides towards her and took her by the hooves.
"Applejack! What do I do?" Twilight asked.
Applejack just held Twilight tightly, before she looked up and saw something. She then turns toward Twilight Sparkle.
"Let go," Applejack answered.
"Are you crazy?" Twilight asked.
"No I ain't. I promise you'll be safe," Applejack said.
But the frightened look on Twilight's face proved she wasn't convinced.
"That's not true!" Twilight said.
"Now listen here. What I'm sayin' to you is the honest truth. Let go, and you'll be safe," Applejack said. Twilight hesitated for a moment, before she eventually lets go.
"Yaaah!"
Twilight screamed before she felt her fall stop midway. She turns from side to side, realizing both Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy caught her in the air.
"Good catch, girls!" Patamon complimented.
"Phew!" Twilight replied, with relief. "WAH!"
"Sorry girls, everypony, I'm not used to holding anything more than a bunny or two," Fluttershy said.
"I may not be a bunny, but you sure handled me with care," Veemon said. Fluttershy blushed.
"Well, that was a good save all the same," Gatomon said.
"Yeah, especially when TK swooped in to save Kari the way he did," Cody said. TK only blushed as Rainbow Dash and Pinkie saw him blush.
"Ooh! I think somepony has a crush on Kari!" Rainbow Dash teased.
"TK and Kari sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Pinkie Pie sang. Davis growled in anger. Fluttershy looked right at Davis.
"Are you okay, Davis? Is something bothering you. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to," Fluttershy said.
"That's right, I don't want to talk about it," Davis said. He still hasn't gotten over the fact that TK and Kari are dating.
Little did they know, the purple mist swooped about the forest before approaching a creature, its contact made it utter a mighty roar.
Outside of the Everfree Forest, the Original DigiDestined and the Digimon all followed their trail to the entrance of the Everfree Forest.
"You sure this is the place?" Tentomon asked.
"My nostrils are going crazy with their scents," Agumon said, sniffing the air. "They've been here. And," he took another whiff, "there are six others with them."
"Why would they go in there? It looks like it could have some poison ivy inside," Mimi said.
"And there's also something else in there," Biyomon said.
"If they went this way, then we'll have to follow them inside," Matt said.
"Matt's right. It's the only way to know," Gabumon said.
They all went inside the forest to find the younger DigiDestined.
Back the Mane Six, the DigiDestined, and the Digimon, went on to find the Elements of Harmony.
And once Kari, Yolei, Cody, Davis, Veemon, Armadillomon, Kari, Gatomon, Wormmon, Pinkie, and Rarity were saved, whoosh... Me and Fluttershy loop-de-loop around and WHAM! Caught you right in the nick of time," Rainbow Dash said.
"Yes, Rainbow, I was there, and I'm very grateful, but we gotta-" Twilight and the Mane Six all gasped.
"WHAT IS THAT?!" Veemon yelled.
"A manticore!" Twilight exclaimed as the manticore roared. "We've gotta get past him!" Rarity kicks the creature in the face.
"Take that, you ruffian!" Rarity taunted. The manticore roared right into Rarity's face, turning her mane into a small afro. "My hair!" The manticore glares at the white unicorn. "Woop!"
"Wait," Fluttershy said softly.
The Digimon all went to attack the manticore.
"Take it down!" Veemon shouted. The manticore roared, sending the Digimon rolling back. Cody crabbed a stick and smacked the manticore at the creature.
"Take that and that!" Cody shouted. The manticore was about to swipe its claw at the youngest DigiDestined when Applejack is riding on its back.
"YEE-HAW! Git along, little dogie," Applejack said. Applejack was riding on the manticore like she was in a rodeo.
"Ride 'em, AJ!" TK shouted.
"Wait," Fluttershy softly said again.
But firm as she could, her voice was still too soft no pony could hear her. Applejack is tossed off with a 'WHOA!'. She goes flying backwards
"All yours, partner," Applejack said.
"I'm on it," Rainbow Dash said. She dashed right at the manticore.
"Wait!" Fluttershy said a little louder.
Rainbow Dash soared round and round the Manticore, trying to distract him. But the monster's roar blows the Pegasus away, making her scream.
"Rainbow!" Twilight gasped.
The beast's grunt gestures the group toward them. Soon, all the ponies, minus Fluttershy, leapt into battle. Twilight snorts with determination, bucking her hooves. Veemon cracked his knuckles.
"It's on!" Davis yelled.
They all ran towards the manticore to attack it when Fluttershy flew in front of the.
"WAIT!" Fluttershy shouted, making them all stop in their place.
"What do you mean wait, Fluttershy? Wait for what?" Davis asked. She didn't answer as she went to the manticore.
"What's she doing?" Cody asked.
The manticore raises its claws as they all covered their eyes.
"I can't look!" Yolei said.
"Shhh... It's okay," Fluttershy assured it. She nuzzles its paw. The manticore gave a sad look and lowers it claw and shows the yellow pegasus the thorn. "Oh, you poor, poor little baby."
"Little?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Baby?" Yolei asked.
"Now this might hurt for just a second," Fluttershy said. She pulls the thorn out, making it roar, scooping Fluttershy towards his mouth quickly.
"Fluttershy!" Everyone exclaimed.
But what really made all their jaws drop in shock… The manticore wasn't going to eat her. Instead, he just licks her, clearly grateful that this pony removed the thorn from his paw, practically purring even. Everyone smiled.
"Aw you're just a little ol' baby kitty, aren't you? Yes you are, yes you are," Fluttershy cooed.
The manticore continued licking her mane, before setting her down. By then, her pink mane stuck upward like a rockstar. Every pony gave her a cheer, as the manticore went on his way. Of all the ponies, Twilight was the most impressed.
"How did you know about the thorn?" Twilight asked.
"I didn't. Sometimes we all just need to be shown a little kindness," Fluttershy said. Twilight smiled.
"Kinda reminds me of a certain someone I know," TK said, making Kari blush. They continued on towards their mission. The thorn turned into the mist and went off to catch up with them.
"No. My eyes need a rest from all this icky muck," Rarity complained. The trees covers the moon and it got darker. "Well, I didn't mean that literally."
"That ancient ruin could be right in front of our faces and we wouldn't even know it," Twilight said. Rarity bumped into Cody.
"Hey! Who bumped into me?" Cody yelped.
"I didn't see you there, my apologies," Rarity said.
"Better Rarity than Yolei," Davis taunted. Yolei angrily smacked Armadillomon.
"Ouch! What was that for?" Armadillomon asked, rubbing his head.
"Oops, sorry. Thought you were Davis," Yolei apologized.
"Right here... guh..." Rainbow Dash said.
"Watch those claws of yours, Gatomon!" Hawkmon said.
"At least I'm the only one who can see in the dark!" Gatomon said.
"Oh wait," Applejack said, raising her hoof. "I think I stepped in somethin'," Applejack said. Fluttershy screamed. "It's just mud."
Suddenly, there was an ominous growl from one of the trees. Then another, another, and soon, they were all surrounded. On each tree, they seemed to make a scary face at the ponies with large eyes and razor-sharp teeth. The ponies and Digimon all screamed.
"The trees are going to eat us! We're all gonna die!" Yolei exclaimed.
Suddenly, they heard Pinkie Pie… Laughing?! Surprised, all the ponies and Digimon noticed how Pinkie was busily laughing and making goofy faces toward one of the scary trees.
"Pinkie, what are you doing?! Run!" Twilight fearfully said.
"Oh girls, don't you see?" Pinkie Pie asked. Pinkie Pie started singing.
[Pinkie Pie]
When I was a little filly and the sun was going down...
"Tell me she's not," Twilight said.
[Pinkie Pie]
The darkness and the shadows, they would always make me frown...
"She is," Rarity said.
"Why is she singing?" Davis asked.
Pinkie kept singing while bouncing around the group.
[Pinkie Pie]
I'd hide under my pillow
From what I thought I saw
But Granny Pie said that wasn't the way
To deal with fears at all
"Then what is?" Rainbow Dash asked. Pinkie got into Rainbow Dash's face.
[Pinkie Pie]
She said, "Pinkie, you gotta stand up tall
Learn to face your fears
You'll see that they can't hurt you
Just laugh to make them disappear.
Ha! Ha! Ha!
As if by magic, the once scary tree turned normal, no face on it whatsoever. Even the darkness surrounding the tree disappeared, much to the ponies surprise. They all laughed right at the trees, making the scary faces all turn normal.
[Pinkie Pie]
So, giggle at the ghostly
Guffaw at the grossly
Crack up at the creepy
Whoop it up with the weepy
Chortle at the kooky
Snortle at the spooky
And tell that big dumb scary face to take a hike and leave you alone and if he thinks he can scare you then he's got another thing coming and the very idea of such a thing just makes you wanna... hahahaha... heh...Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuugh!
Soon, with a little help from her friends, all the scary trees disappeared. The rest of the ponies rolled on their backs, laughing themselves silly. They continued on while they were still laughing. Pinkie Pie came to a sudden stop causing every pony to collide with each other. Before they could say anything, they noticed before their eyes was a wide stream dividing the forest. While it appears rather shallow, the water was actually raging violently.
"How are we gonna cross this?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"Doesn't look like we're going to swim across," Cody said.
They suddenly heard crying in the distance. Confused, they turn towards a rather large, yet very lanky sea serpent weeping himself in the middle of the water. His elongated figure wiggling so fast, the rapids were building. They also noted one half of his orange mustaches, which matches his orange hair, looked torn as if it were chopped off.
"Huh?" Pinkie asked.
"What's that thing?" Patamon asked.
"It's a sea sperpent," Fluttershy said.
"What a world, what a world," the sea serpent sobbed dramatically.
"Excuse me, sir. Why are you crying?" Twilight asked.
"Well, I don't know. I was just sitting here, minding my own business, when this tacky little cloud of purple smoke just whisked past me and tore half of my beloved mustache clean off, and now I look simply horrid," the sea serpent wailed as he slammed back into the water, creating a massive wave toward the ponies and Digimon, making them wet.
"Why did it have to be water?" Gatomon asked.
"Oh, give me a break," Rainbow Dash muttered.
"That's what all the fuss is about?" Applejack asked, in disbelief.
"Why, of course it is," Rarity replied, stepping forward. "How can you be so insensitive? Oh, just look at him. Such lovely luminescent scales."
The sea serpent sniffed, "I know."
"And your expertly coiffed mane," Rarity added.
"Oh, I know, I know," the sea serpent said, rubbing his fingers through it.
"Your fabulous manicure," Rarity added.
"It's so true!" The sea serpent said, looking at his fingers.
"All ruined without your beautiful mustache," Rarity said.
"It's true, I'm hideous!" The sea serpent cried dramatically.
"I simply cannot let such a crime against fabulosity go uncorrected," Rarity declared. Before the serpent or the DigiDestined could say any further, the determined mare pulled off one of the serpent's scales, making him yelp.
"What did you do that for?" The sea serpent asked.
Rarity said nothing, as she held the round part of his scale in her mouth. The sharp end gleams in the moonlight, as she raised it in the air. The rest of the ponies and Digimon were stunned, unsure what she was about to do.
"Rarity, what are you-" Twilight and the rest were stunned.
"Rarity," Kari could only say.
Every pony's eyes shrunk with shock, as the serpent fainted. Fortunately, he neither splashed them with water and neither was he severely hurt. Instead, Rarity's now long, beautiful tail was cut off, leaving just a short remainder of purple hair. Using her magic, she levitates the cut tail and carefully ties it with the remains of the serpent's sliced mustache. When he awoke, he saw that his mustaches had been restored… To some degree.
"Oh-hohohoho!" The sea serpent exclaimed, gleefully. "My mustache. How wonderful."
"You look smashing," Rarity said.
"Oh, Rarity, your beautiful tail..." Twilight sadly said. Rarity looked at her now small tail, but she smiled.
"Oh. It's fine, my dear. Short tails are in this season. Besides, it'll grow back," Rarity said.
"So would the mustache," Rainbow Dash muttered on the side.
"Well, he's happy, and that's all that matters," Kari said.
Twilight looked ahead and gasped when she saw as she saw the water before them was shallow.
"We can cross now. Let's go," Twilight said. "Ah!"
Twilight was startled when she found herself upon the hump of the serpent's elongated body.
"Allow me," the sea serpent said.
And so, the serpent creates a set of hump platforms with his body for all the ponies to cross to the other side.
"Thanks a lot, man," Davis said.
Elsewhere, the original DigiDestined and their Digimon partners followed the trail of their younger friends.
"They've been this way, I'm sure of it," Agumon said.
"How close arevthey, Agumon?" Gabumon asked.
"The scents are getting stronger the further we go," Agumon said.
"Who needs a bloodhound when we got you, Agumon?" Palmon asked.
"Just what could they be looking for in these woods?" Sora asked.
"I don't know. It looks nothing like the ones in the Digital World, so we'll have to watch our step," Joe said as he slipped off to the side.
"Joe!" Gomamon gasped as he went to save him.
Thinking fast, Izzy's horn gave off a bright crimson glow and catches Joe on it. Everyone were surprised and awestruck by what Izzy was doing.
"How did you do that?" Mimi asked.
"I just thought of something and I did. It looks like the unicorns here has some sort of telekinesis through their horns. Tai should be able to do the same thing while Matt and Sora should be able to fly," Izzy stated. The two pegasi looked at their wings and gave it a try.
"You're right, Izzy, we can fly," Sora said.
"Who would have thought it'll be so easy?" Matt asked. They took crashed onto the ground.
"Matt!"
"Sora!"
"It seemed easy," Matt said.
"Even with those wings, they're not as strong as fliers like we are," Tentomon said.
"Enough playing around. Kari and the others aren't going to find themselves," Tai said. The rest of the DigiDestined all agreed and continued on their trail.
Back to the Mane Six, the DigiDestined, and the Digimon, they made it to a bridge.
"There it is, the ruin that holds The Elements of Harmony. We made it!" Twilight said happily as she ran ahead of them.
"Twilight, wait for us!" Applejack said.
"We're almost there. Whoa!" Twilight yelped as she almost went over the edge. Rainbow Dash oulls her up by her tail
"What's with you and falling off cliffs today?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Oh great the bridge's out," Veemon said.
"It looks like a long way down," Armadillomon said.
Pinkie Pike sighed, "Now what?"
"Duh," Rainbow Dash said, flapping her wings in the air.
"Oh yeah," Pinkie chuckled.
"Keep forgetting about the wings," Davis said.
"Like you keep forgetting about your unicorn magic, Davis?" TK asked.
"Shut up," Davis muttered, annoyed.
Taking to the skies, Rainbow Dash searched for the rope holding the boards to the bridge in place. Finding them through the mist, she flies back toward the opposite end intending to tie the bridge together.
"Rainbow..."
A mysterious voice caught the cyan pegasus's attention, dropping the rope before she could tie it.
"Who's there?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Rainbow..."
She stood upon her upright hooves, using her wings to stay balanced. She placed her front hooves in front of herself in the mysterious figure had malilicious intent.
"I ain't scared of you! Show yourself!" Rainbow Dash challenged.
"We've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the best flyer in Equestria."
Rainbow Dash asked, "Who?"
"Why, you, of course."
"Really?! I mean... Oh yeah, me," Rainbow Dash said. "Hey, uh, you wouldn't mind telling the Wonderbolts that, would ya? 'cause I've been trying to get into that group for like, ever."
No, Rainbow Dash."
Before Rainbow Dash's very eyes, three pegasi, wearing dark blue-and-black flight suits and goggles, appeared before her. One of them had a female voice.
"We want you to join us,The Shadowbolts. We're the greatest aerial team in the Everfree Forest, and soon we will be the greatest in all Equestria, but first, we need a captain. The most magnificent-"
Rainbow Dash agreed, "Yep."
"Swiftest-"
"Yes."
"Bravest flyer in all the land."
"Yes," Rainbow Dash chuckled, "it's all true."
"We need...you," the Shadowbolt leader offered.
"WOOHOO!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed happily. "Sign me up. Just let me tie this bridge real quick and then we have a deal."
Rainbow Dash grabbed the rope in her mouth, proceeding to tie it to the post.The Shadowbolt leader charged right in front of her
"No!" The Shadowbolt leader stated. "It's them or us."
Rainbow suddenly felt as if she was in a tight spot. On one hoof, Rainbow needed to get the bridge tied so their friends can cross and help find the missing elements. But on the other hoof, if she turned down this offer to join a real flight team, word of this will surely get out and Rainbow may never get accepted into 'any' flight team. She won't get another chance if she refused now.
"Rainbow, what's taking so long?" Twilight called out to the cyan pegasus.
"Look, there's someone with her," Patamon said.
"What do you mean?" Twilight asked. She saw her with some other ponies, and knew they weren't real ponies. "Oh no. Rainbow!" The Shadowbolts leader's eyes glowed yellow and created a fog. "Don't listen to them."
But it was all for naught, her cries were muted by the fog. Twilight tried to shout again. From the other side, Rainbow was unsure what to do while the mysterious flight team waited for her answer. Rainbow Dash hesitated for another second, until a decision was finally made.
"Well?" The Shadowbolt Leader asked.
"You..." The three pegasi seemed satisfied with her answer, when she suddenly took the rope to secure the bridge, much to their shock. "Thank you! For the offer, I mean, but I'm afraid I have to say no."
Rainbow Dash zipped away, as the leader and her two cohorts grit their teeth before turning back into the dark mist and floated away. The rest of the ponies cheered as Rainbow Dash flew back to the other side, as they began to cross the bridge.
"See? I'd never leave my friends hangin'," Rainbow Dash told Twilight.
"Never doubted you for a second," Hawkmon said.
"I thought you would abandon us to live up to your dream," Ken said.
"As much as I would like to show off my awesome moves, but my friends comes first," Rainbow Dash said.
Twilight just smiled, hearing how Rainbow Dash would put her friends before her own needs.
It wasn't long before our heroes found themselves in the ruins of the Castle of the Royal Sisters. As they explored the ancient castle, they pause before a large stone structure, which held several orbs around it. In a way, it reminded the ponies of something out of a planetarium.
"Whoa," Twilight said.
"I was thinking the same thing," Davis said.
"We can do some serious star watching from here," Veemon said.
"We should focus, you two," Yolei said.
"Those have got to be it," Ken said.
"Come on, Twilight. Isn't this what you've been waitin' for?" Applejack asked.
"The Elements of Harmony, we've found them," Twilight said.
"Just like you said, Twilight," Kari said.
"We'll just have to get them down from there," Gatomon said.
"Leave that to me," Rainbow Dash said. She, Fluttershy and TK flew up to take them. They grab them slowly and gently.
"Careful, careful!" Twilight instructed.
"One, two, three, four... There's only five!" Pinkie Pie said.
"Where's the sixth?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Yeah, shouldn't it just show up or something?" Davis asked.
"If it is, then how come it's not showing up now?" TK asked.
"The book said: when the five are present, a spark will cause the sixth Element to be revealed," Twilight said.
"What in the hay is that supposed to mean?" Applejack asked.
"I'm not sure, but I have an idea. Stand back. I don't know what will happen," Twilight said.
"Come on now, y'all. She needs to concentrate," Applejack said.
"Let's give her some space," Wormmon said.
They all stepped outside of the castle.
"You think she'll pull it off?" Ken asked.
"Hope so. Even if we knew her for a short time, she seems capable to get it done," Cody said.
"I'm with Cody. After everything we been through, Twilight seems to know what's she talking about. And she hasn't led us wrong," Applejack said.
"And I don't think she ever will," Ken said.
"And once Twilight uses the spark on the Elements of Harmony, we use it to beat Nightmare Moon and rescue the Princess," TK said.
"TK's right. Twilight's the only one here who can make it happen, and bring back the sun," Kari said.
Just then, the orginal DigiDestined made it tot he bridge.
"How much further, Agumon?" Tai asked.
"We're getting close," Agumon answered. "Their scents are a whole lot stronger than before!"
"That's good to know, since we've been trotting through this forest for a while," Joe said.
"And now we can reach Davis, TK, Kari, and the others," Sora said.
"Then, let's go," Matt said.
"Um, shouldn't we make sure that bridge is safe before we go across?" Joe asked. "That doesn't look safe to me."
"One of us will just have to cross one at a time and make sure," Matt said.
"Good idea, Matt. Gomamon will go first," Tai said.
"Me?" Gomamon asked.
"Don't worry, Gomamon, we're right behind you," Gabumon said. Gomamon gulped and proceeded to cross. Gomamon disappeared into the mist the further he went in. One-by-one, the DigiDestined and Digimon all crossed the bridge. Mimi slipped, but Matt catches her.
"I got you, Mimi!" Matt said.
"Thank you, Matt," Mimi said, blushing. Matt blushed just as much as Mimi did. They all made it across the bridge.
"That went well," Joe said.
"Which way do we go now?" Izzy asked.
"That way!" Agumon said, pointing ahead of them. They made their way to the direction and they spotted the six DigiDestined and their Digimon partners. "Guys!" Fluttershy yelped when she heard him.
"What in the hay is that?" Applejack asked.
"Agumon?" Kari asked.
"Huh?" The ponies all asked.
"Kari! It's you!" Agumon said going up to her. "Davis, Yolei, TK, Ken, and Cody, too!"
"Kari!" Tai called out.
"TK!" Matt also called.
"Tai!" Kari replied.
"Matt!" TK also replied.
"How did you get here?" Yolei asked.
"It's a long story," Izzy said. He looked right at the ponies. "Who are they?"
"Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie! Are you friends of theirs, huh, huh, huh?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"Well, this one's friendly," Sora said.
"She is. And we should warn you, she's really hyper," Cody said.
"Not like the rest of them here. Meet Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity. You already know Pinkie Pie. Girls, these are friends of ours. This guy here is Tai, and he's Kari's older brother. Matt, he's TK's older brother. And these are Sora, Izzy, Mimi, and Joe," Yolei introduced.
"And this is Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, and Gomamon," Hawk introduced.
"What are you doing here?" TK asked.
"Looking for you. We got worried when we didn't hear from you," Izzy said.
"So, we ended up here. So, Agumon just followed his nostrils and here we are," Tai said.
Fluttershy didn't take long to get acquainted with the Digimon.
"Oh my, they're so cute!" Fluttershy said.
"Cute?" Matt asked.
"You mean cool, right?" Tai asked.
"She said the same thing about us," Veemon said.
"Just where exactly did ya'll come from?" Applejack asked.
Before anyone could answer, they all heard Twilight scream from inside.
"Twilight!" Everyone gasped as they all ran back inside. The dark mist soon arrived and encircled the elements, all while they tried to generate a magical spark. Soon, they both open their eyes and witnessed a huge blue cyclone before them. Twilight gasped, realizing what was happening.
"The Elements!" Twilight shouted. Twilight dove into the funnel of the cyclone, as it magically disappeared along with them. The rest of the Mane Six, the DigiDestined and the Digimon looked around, talking amongst each other.
"Twilight?" Fluttershy asked.
"What?" Applejack asked.
"Where did she go?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"What happened?" Rarity asked.
"This isn't good!" Davis said.
"What's going on?" Rainbow Dash said.
Applejack: Twilight, where are you?
"Guys, look at that!" Gatomon said.
They turned toward where Gatomon was pointing, as a nearby rundown ruin glowed nearby.
"She's up there?" Kari asked.
"Come on!" Applejack said.
Not needing to be told twice, they all rushed out as fast as they could to reach their friend.
Meanwhile, the blackish blue mist transported Twilight toward a new location, she coughed and sputtered from all the dust. Before them was Nightmare Moon herself, laughing evilly over the Elements. Twilight gasped, before she glared sternly, preparing to charge.
"You're kidding. You're kidding, right?" Nightmare Moon asked.
Twilight just glared, before she toward her and Nightmare Moon came right at them. At the last possible moment, just when their horns were about to make contact, Twilight conjured her magic to instantly vanish and reappear in the middle of the elements.
Slightly woozy, since Twilight wasn't used to teleportation, she ignited her horn once more trying to generate life back into the elements.
Just one spark. Come on,come on," Twilight groaned.
Nightmare Moon quickly turned back into mist, sending an electric blast propelling the unicorn backwards and onto her back. However, the elements seemingly charged back to life.
"No, no!" Nightmare Moon cried out.
Twilight smiled triumphantly… Until the charge fizzled out, leaving her agape.
"But... where's the sixth Element?!" Twilight exclaimed.
Nightmare Moon laughed sinisterly, lifting her front hooves, and stomped around the orbs, causing them to shatter into a billion pieces. Twilight stood in shock, their only weapon against her… Destroyed before her very eyes.
Nightmare Moon laughed, "You little foal! Thinking you could defeat me? Now you will never see your princess, or your sun! The night will last forever!"
Nightmare Moon cackled evilly, generating a great dark blue storm above her. Twilight felt that it was all over, her efforts to prevent Nightmare Moon's take over were in vain. Suddenly, familiar sounds caused her to turn behind, as a group of shadows approached talking over each other.
"Don't worry, Twilight, we're here," Pinkie Pie said.
"Don't worry, we'll be there," Applejack said.
As she waited for their arrival, something clicked inside of Twilight. A special spark suddenly appear in her eyes. gave a quick smirk silently realizing what this means. She turned around to face Nightmare Moon, her expression shifting to fierce confidence.
"You think you can destroy The Elements of Harmony just like that? Well, you're wrong, because the spirits of The Elements of Harmony are right here," Twilight said.
"What?" Nightmare Moon asked.
"What's going on?" Tentomon asked.
"I think we're about to find out," Izzy said.
Before Nightmare Moon's eyes, several shards suddenly rose from the broken elements, surrounding the mares one by one as Twilight spoke.
"Applejack, who reassured me when I was in doubt, represents the spirit of...honesty!Fluttershy, who tamed the manticore with her compassion, represents the spirit of...kindness! Pinkie Pie, who banished fear by giggling in the face of danger, represents the spirit of...laughter! Rarity, who calmed a sorrowful serpent with a meaningful gift represents the spirit of...generosity! And Rainbow Dash, who could not abandon her friends for her own heart's desire represents the spirit of...loyalty! The spirits of these five ponies got us through every challenge you threw at us," Twilight said.
"You still don't have the sixth Element! The spark didn't work!" Nightmare Moon told the unicorn.
"But it did! A different kind of spark. I felt it the very moment I realized how happy I was to hear you, to see you, how much I cared about you. The spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all... are my friends! You see, Nightmare Moon, when those Elements are ignited by the... the spark, that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element: the Element of...Magic!"
It was then the sixth orb appeared, revealing the sixth element as it descends above Twilight. The shards of the other elements restored themselves, creating special gold necklaces with each element residing in the center. Twilight's element was more special, a tiara with the element of magic shining triumphantly on her head.It created a rainbow beam and it surrounds her into a rainbow whirlpool.
"Nooo!" Nightmare Moon screamed. "Nooo!"
As the rainbow's power consumed the Mare in the Moon, the elements themselves glowed brighter until Twilight Sparkle opens her eyes, which glowed as well. The brightness consumed them all, filling the entire room with radiance.
The DigiDestined and the Digimon were all amazed by what they saw as they were caught in the flash. Eventually, the bright light faded, leaving every pony laying on the ground, clearly spent from the exposure to all that power.
"Ugh, my head," Rainbow groaned, sitting up.
"Everypony okay?" Applejack asked, as the rest got back on their hooves.
"A little blindex, but I'm okay," Joe said.
"Oh, thank goodness!" Rarity cried.
All the ponies turned as the fashionista looked behind herself. Apparently, the magic of the elements was so powerful, it restored her beautiful tail to its former glory.
"Why Rarity, it's so lovely," Fluttershy pointed out.
"I know!" Rarity said, cuddling her tail. "I'll never part with it again."
"No, your necklace," Fluttershy corrected. "It looks just like your cutie mark."
Rarity finally noticed her gold necklace, noting how the purple diamond in the center matched her cutie mark swimmingly.
"What? Ohh!" Rarity exclaimed. "So does yours!"
Fluttershy looked upon her own necklace, smiling warmly. All the other ponies acknowledged their new jewelry bestowed upon them by the elements' power.
"Look at mine! Look at mine!" Pinkie said excitedly.
"Aw yeah!" Rainbow said proudly, admiring her own.
"That was quite a light show," Matt said.
"And that rainbow beam took me by surprise," Sora said.
"Yeah, but how come theirs are all necklaces, while hers is a tiara?" Yolei asked.
"That is a good queation," Hawkmon said.
"Gee, Twilight! I thought you were just spoutin' a lot of hooey, but I reckon we really do represent the elements of friendship," Applejack said.
"Indeed you do," a majestic voice spoke.
"Who said that?" Palmon asked.
They looked toward the window, as the sun returns, and a warm light enters the castle ruins. As the familiar golden orb of hope and light ignited the dark sky, another made its way before the ponies. And there, standing majestically before them, was Princess Celestia herself, towering before her subjects. Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pikie Pie bowed before their mighty ruler. The pony in question was all too happy to see her again. The DigiDestined were awestruck to see Princess Celestia as she is.
"Another one," Davis whispered. Yolei shushed him.
"Princess Celestia!" Twilight said happily. She rushed towards her with a warm embrace.
"Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student. I knew you could do it," Celestia said.
"But... you told me it was all an old pony tale," Twilight said.
"I told you that you needed to make some friends, nothing more. I saw the signs of Nightmare Moon's return, and I knew it was you who had the magic inside to defeat her, but you could not unleash it until you let true friendship into your heart. Now if only another will as well," Celestia said. Looking at the smaller light blue Alicorn laying in the remains of her old evil self. "Princess Luna!" Luna gasped.
"Princess Luna?" Sora asked.
"It has been a thousand years since I have seen you like this. Time to put our differences behind us. We were meant to rule together, little sister," Celestia said.
"Sister?" Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Kari all asked.
"Will you accept my friendship? And more than that, will you accept my forgiveness? I was not once considering your feelings; but I realized that night is just as important as daylight."
The Mane Six leaned forward with interest, anxiously waiting to see how Luna would answer. Pinkie Pie, however, learned too far forward.
After a brief moment, Princess Luna burst into tears and raced to embrace her older sister.
"I'm so sorry!" Luna cried. "I missed you so much, big sister!"
Tears formed on the bottom of Celestia's eyes, holding Luna close.
"I've missed you, too," Celestia said.
That was when Pinkie Pie burst into tears, sobbing… For a few seconds, before blowing her nose.
"Get a grip, Pinkie," Gabumon said.
Celestia then sets her attention to the DigiDestined.
"I have been looking forward in meeting you for quite sometime, DigiDestined," Celestia said. They were stunned by what Celestia called them.
"You know about us?" Ken asked.
"Of course. Gennai has told me all about you. About your adventures and your defeats over Devimon, Etemon, Myotismon, and the Dark Masters," Celestia said. "And I should know your names and the Crests you all have. Tai, you hold the Crest of Courage. Matt, the Crest of Friendship. Sora, the Crest of Love. Izzy, the Crest of Knowledge. Mimi, the Crest of Sincerity. Joe, the Crest of Reliability. TK, the Crest of Hope. Kari, the Crest of Light. And there's you, Ken. You hold the Crest of Kindness."
"And you know about me too, don't you?" Davis asked. Celestia chuckled.
"Of course I know you, Davis. You are the one who holds the Digi-Eggs of Courage and Friendship. Yolei holds the Digi-Eggs of Love and Sincerity. And Cody holds the Digi-Eggs of Knowledge and Reliability," Celestia said.
"Princess, how do you know about them?" Twilight asked.
"Ah, I'm glad you asked. These are the DigiDestined and the creatures with them are Digimon. They came here from another world. I knew there would be a time that they would one day enter Equestria," Celestia said.
"You knew we would come here?" Mimi asked.
"Indeed, Mimi," Celestia said.
"Hey, you know what this calls for?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"What?" Tai asked as Pinkie smiled widely.
We switch back to Ponyville.
"A party!" Pinkie Pie shouted as confetti.
It wasn't long before the eighteen ponies, twelve Digimon and the two princesses, returned to Ponyville, as the entire town cheered for the princesses' return, as the celebrations began. Amongst the crowd, Spike appeared giving both Twilight a warm welcome. Princess Luna, unsure about being there, was suddenly approached by two young pegasus foals presenting her with a beautiful necklace of roses, as she gave Celestia a teary smile. All of Ponyville was happy… All except for Twilight.
Despite her success, Twilight was feeling glum since it means she has to return to Canterlot.
"Why so glum, my faithful student? Are you not happy that your quest is complete and you can return to your studies in Canterlot?" Celestia asked. Twilight looked down to the ground.
"That's just it. Just when I learned how wonderful it is to have friends, I have to leave them," Twilight said.
"Is there a way for Twilight to stay and hang out with them?" Tai asked.
"Actually, there is, Tai," Celestia answered. "Spike, take a note, please." Spike got ready to write down what Celestia has to say. "I, Princess Celestia, hereby decree that the unicorn Twilight Sparkle shall take on a new mission for Equestria. She must continue to study the magic of friendship. She must report to me her findings from her new home in Ponyville. And with help of the DigiDestined if they so choose to."
The DigiDestined all looked around themselves and nodded as the ponies of Ponyville all cheered.
"We'll all do our part to help out, your majesty," Izzy said.
"I figured you would. And I should inform you that you are welcome in Equestria anytime if you wish to visit. The portal between the two worlds should be your gateway in and out. And it is in the Golden Oats Library and one in Canterlot," Celestia said.
"Oh thank you, Princess Celestia! I'll study harder than ever before," Twilight said. The ponies of Ponyville all cheered.
"Isn't this exciting? Are you excited cause I'm excited I've never been so excited, well, except for the time that I went [deep gasp] but I mean really-" Pinkie Pie went on.
"Well, this is an interesting start as any," Tai said.
