Chapter 4 Blackmail, and Blondes
I don't own RWBY anything I post belongs to Rooster Teeth and is their property. Same applies for anything I use from other series
(Oobleck's class)
'How can one school have so many bizarre teacher's' Jaune thought to himself as he sat through history class. Dr Oobleck, something he insisted the class call him, was a very fast talker who loved coffee. Between him and the slow talking Professor Port Jaune wondered how kids in Beacon learned anything at all. They were currently talking about the Faunus War which allowed him to relax since he knew the subject very well.
"So class, can anybody tell me why General Lagune's ambush failed" Oobleck asked calmly.
Jaune knew the answer having studied it extensively, but as he was about to answer somebody beat him to it.
"Animals are easier to train." Cardin said with his trademark grin causing scowls throughout the class at his response.
'Good old Cardin' Jaune groaned mentally. It's been a few weeks since his humiliation at Jaune's hands in the cafeteria and after taking a small break Cardin was back to his usual asshole self. He did stop bullying Velvet, but he was still a jerk to most people.
"Can anybody else give the proper answer." Oobleck frowned not surprised at all by the response.
Jaune raised his hand and was promptly called on, "The actual answer is night vision. General Lagune acted like a certain red headed meathead who believed that Faunus were inferior and attacked at night. His cluelessness caused him to lose the battle and get captured. He is a case study on what happen when people underestimate their opponents." Jaune smiled causing Cardin to fume.
"That's correct Mr. Arc, but I would appreciate it if you save the spars with your classmate for Glynda's class."
"Sorry Doctor Oobleck, but I think people like Cardin are pathetic because they forget a very important fact."
"What would that be Mr. Arc?" Oobleck smiled.
"Grimm don't discriminate." Jaune said bluntly.
Dr Oobleck smiled at the response, "Well said young man, but it's more than just that. Grimm feed off of negativity and outside of the natural fear of Grimm. there is no greater negativity that exists in Remnant than the one felt by Faunus when they are subjected to racist attacks." Oobleck scowled.
"If that's the case why does it continue. Surely people should've realized that after all this time." Blake said with a bit of sorrow in her voice.
"I cannot answer that question my dear, but it is an everlasting problem." Oobleck sighed with the bell ringing to end the class.
With class over and a long break next, Team JNPR and RWBY discussed their next move. "So guys we've got some time to kill until Port's class. What do you want to do?" Yang wondered.
"I'm gonna go do some reading. Care to join me Jaune?" Blake said with a smile.
"Sounds good to me Blake" Jaune replied with a smile of his own much to the annoyance of her partner.
"Going off to read with Blake when you can spend time with your own partner. That's pretty mean of you Vomit Boy." Yang frowned.
Jaune twitched at Yang's use of that nickname and decided to respond in kind, "Well Barf Boots, why don't you hang out with my partner?" Jaune replied with an innocent smile.
"I thought I told you not to call me that!" Yang growled.
"And I told you not to call me Vomit Boy. Jaune retorted.
Yang was on the verge of going ballistic, but Weiss stepped in, "That's enough you two." Weiss scolded before focusing on Yang. "Jaune is right Yang. Why not steal Pyrrha for a bit and you guys can have a spar." Weiss said politely.
"What about combat class." Ruby wondered.
"Jaune's semblance is perfectly capable of helping us recover Ruby." Weiss reminded her. Since the groups spent so much time together, they learned about everyone's semblances. Learning about Pyrrha's Polarity semblance bothered Weiss due to her admiration for Pyrrha but the spartan assured Weiss that she only used it as a last resort.
"Good point" Ruby replied.
Yang took a deep breath and smiled, "Then let's do it." Yang smiled eager to face off against Pyrrha.
"I wanna watch" Nora said eagerly.
"So do I. I'm still kind of mad that you two haven't fought yet in combat class." Weiss frowned. Since combat class began Pyrrha had fought most of the other students but never once fought Pyrrha.
"I think I'll go work on Crescent Rose." Ruby smiled.
"And I'll take a walk" Ren smiled.
"Looks like everyone has a plan." Jaune said happily.
"Yup" Ruby chuckled emphasizing the P.
"Then we'll meet up at Port's." Blake smiled as she and Jaune made their way to the library.
(Scene Skip)
"You… really should stop… AHH… taunting Yang like that Jaune." Blake moaned as Jaune fondled her breasts from behind as she sat in between his legs. Blake and Jaune were down to their underwear with Jaune in some blue boxers and Blake in a black half bra that hid her nipples and thong panties. A few days after the reward blowjob, Blake brought Jaune back to the library and revealed that she had keyed on him as a potential mate and that it was driving her crazy. Jaune felt guilty and offered a solution. Every few days, they would go to the library under the guise of reading together and Jaune would use the time to help Blake get some release at his hands.
"I should, but she brings it on herself." Jaune replied not bothered at all if Yang was annoyed with him. While he did get over the issue with Junior, Jaune still didn't like Yang very much. She was irrational and quick to anger, but also extremely overprotective of Ruby at least when it came to him. Ruby and Jaune had a shared love of video games and whenever Ruby invited him over to the dorm to play Yang insisted on watching. He understood her concern to some degree as an older sibling, but it was still annoying.
"She does… but… shit" Blake cursed as she stood up quickly and rushed over to where her discarded clothes were held
"Something wrong." Jaune wondered not used to seeing Blake so scared as she reached for her bow and tried to quickly put it back on.
"We have very unpleasant company headed this way. I need to put my bow on before-" Blake started to say before she was interrupted by a very unpleasant voice.
"Well isn't this a surprise. I always thought there was something weird about you Belladonna and not just that massive ass of yours" Cardin Winchester smiled spotting Blake without her ears. The fact she was in her underwear with Jaune was a bonus, but he was more focused on the fact she was a Faunus than whatever was going on between her and Jaune.
'Damn it' Blake cursed aware that it was too late. The biggest racist in the school had discovered her secret and there was nothing he could do about it.
"Well we all know there's something weird about you Cardin." Jaune groaned. Of all the people to find them it was this idiot.
Cardin twitched but only briefly, "I wonder how Weiss would feel if she found out that her teammate was an animal." Cardin smiled as he reached for his scroll. The only reason he hadn't taken a photo was because he was distracted by her thong clad ass.
Blake realized she was screwed if Cardin got the photo and decided to act quickly, "I've got a better idea" Blake smiled as she partially activated her semblance.
"Not gonna work animal. I've seen your trick enough times in combat class" Cardin growled as he moved to quickly destroy the clone that was going to attack him from behind just to find that nothing was there.
Blake smiled because the clone was meant to be a distraction and now Cardin was wide open. "Take this meathead." Blake shouted before using her speed to get in front of Cardin and aiming a brutal kick between his legs connecting with his balls.
'Couldn't have happened to a nicer person.' Jaune smiled as he got to his feet slowly.
As Cardin was writhing on the floor in pain Blake stood over him, "Here's an idea Cardin. How about you stay the fuck away from me and if you even think about trying anything like that again, you will suffer." Blake said with disgust in her voice.
"Bitch" Cardin spat.
"Damn right I am" Blake scowled as she went for her clothes to get dressed.
While Blake got dressed a half-naked Jaune walked over to the injured Cardin and decided to finish things off, "Now why don't you take a nap Cardin. This will all be a dream when you wake up" Jaune smiled before kicking Cardin in the head with an aura infused strike to completely knock him out before getting dressed.
"I don't think I'll be reading here any time soon" a now dressed Blake frowned as she looked at the unconscious Winchester.
Jaune wrapped his arms around Blake's waist to comfort her, "Don't worry Blake, I'll make sure you have your spot again pretty soon.' Jaune smiled before pecking her on the cheek from behind.
"Thanks Jaune." Blake replied with a bit of a blush. For all the things that had done it was the first time they had kissed, even though it was Jaune doing the kissing.
"No problem. Now let's get to Port's" Jaune smiled back but on the inside he was furious. There was no way that Cardin just so happened to run into them. It was a planned attack and wondering what would've happened had he not been there had him furious. Cardin wouldn't give up and Jaune decided that some payback was in order.
(Scene Skip)
"Sorry Weiss but we'll have to cancel our session today. I've got something to do before lunch." Jaune said calmly as they left Port's class. It was a shame to leave Weiss behind, but he needed to nip the Cardin problem in the bud.
"I see" Weiss frowned. Their sessions were just an excuse to makeout since Jaune could see Weiss's progress due to their team's friendship, but she still valued the time since she could truly relax around him. Yang was too loud, while Blake was too quiet, and Ruby's lackadaisical personality made it tough for her to relax.
"Is everything okay Jaune." Pyrrha asked nervously.
"No it's not. I need to make a call and I can't wait until later." Jaune said firmly before leaving the group behind.
Once Jaune was out of earshot Yang focused her attention on her partner, "What's going on Blake?" Yang frowned.
"What do you mean?" Blake replied innocently.
"He was doing fine earlier, but now he's got to make a big phone call. Something must've happened during your little reading session" Yang frowned.
Pyrrha narrowed her eyes, "Why is it any of your business Yang?" Pyrrha scowled. Just like Jaune, Pyrrha found Yang's attitude to be deplorable but she left the antagonizing to him.
"Because Blake is my partner and if something happened involving her, I want to know." Yang countered.
Pyrrha was about to say something but Blake intervened, "When Jaune joins us at lunch I'll tell you guys about it. It wouldn't make sense to tell you without him being here." Blake said calmly. She had to get Yang off the subject and that was the best way to do it.
"Alright." Yang frowned and she and the rest of the group made their way to the cafeteria.
As for Jaune, he made his way to the veranda where he had his sessions with Weiss. He had to wait for some students to leave, but once he was alone, he took out his scroll and dialed a certain number. Luckily, he didn't have to wait long, "If you're calling me, something serious must've happened kid." Roman Torchwick teased. It was the first time he talked to one of his mentors since school started since he didn't want their connection known.
"Yep, I kinda need access to your blackmail files." Jaune replied. Roman was a master thief who stole from anybody and everybody and that included some very high-profile people. As a result, he had a blackmail file on pretty much every major player in the Vale political world and he was more than willing to use it, if the need arrived.
"Who do you want to suffer." Roman replied without hesitation.
"Councilor Winchester. His son tried to blackmail a friend of mine and I want to make him suffer for it. What better way than to have his father arrested." Jaune said viciously.
"I see. Sounds like his son is as much of a prick as his old man." Roman smiled.
"Yep. I guess that means you'll let me access the files." Jaune said hopefully.
"I'll do you one better actually. Give me a few hours and check the news because this one is going to be special. I won't even charge you for it" Roman smiled.
"Got it." Jaune said happily before hanging up. Making his way towards the cafeteria he was spotted by Glynda Goodwitch.
"I'm surprised to see you alone Mr. Arc. I would've thought you were having your therapy sessions with Ms Schnee right about now." Glynda smiled.
Jaune twitched heavily at that because he forgot one of the most important things his father told him before he left for Beacon. Ozpin might have been the official headmaster, but Glynda Goodwitch was the true leader of the school. There wasn't a thing that happened at Beacon that she didn't know about, "I had other things to do." Jaune replied.
"Let me guess, you were contacting Roman Torchwick in order to get access to one of his blackmail files. No doubt to make Mr. Winchester suffer for what happened in the library with Ms Belladonna." Glynda smiled.
"That's right" Jaune replied not bothering to deny it.
"Roman can do some serious damage, but that only targets his father. Might I suggest, something a bit more personal." Glynda smiled.
Jaune raised an eyebrow at that. She wasn't wrong. but to bring it up so casually was surprising, "What did you have in mind?"
I believe it's time for you and Mr. Winchester to compete in the ring." Glynda smiled.
Jaune couldn't hide the vicious grin on his face since that was something he also wanted to do, "I think it's time for Cardin to see the real Jaune Arc." Jaune said happily
Glynda raised an eyebrow at that, "Very well then. I look forward to seeing what you can truly do." Glynda smiled as she walked away.
"I can't wait" Jaune smiled as a feral grin appeared on his face. Combat class today was going to be particularly enjoyable.
(Scene Skip)
Jaune arrived at the cafeteria and found the group, but everyone was tense for some reason, "What did I miss?" Jaune asked sarcastically as he sat down.
"You tell us Jaune. Something clearly happened with you and Blake for you to cancel your session with Weiss. I tried to ask Blake what happened, and she said that she would tell us once you came back." Yang explained.
Jaune's good mood soured almost instantly, "In other words you couldn't mind your own business. Why am I not surprised?" Jaune deadpanned.
"What was that!" Yang growled.
"You heard me Yang. Something did happen, you're right about that, but you have no reason to ask about it."
"She's my partner Jaune. Wouldn't you want to know if something was wrong with Pyrrha." Yang countered.
"Of course I would Barf Boots, at the same time Pyrrha is a grown woman and if she wants to tell me she will." Jaune replied.
Yang twitched, "Watch it Jaune. I told you that I didn't want to be called that." Yang replied angrily.
"And yet you still call me Vomit Boy when I made it very clear I didn't want to be called that. You have a bad habit of ignoring what others tell you if it doesn't suit you." Jaune said snidely.
"I suggest you stop talking or else!" Yang growled her eyes starting to glow a bit.
Jaune stared icily at the brawler, "Or else what! Even if you were at full power, which we both know you aren't, you wouldn't stand a chance against me." Jaune taunted.
Yang was on the verge of attacking Jaune but Ruby interrupted, "That's enough you two!" Ruby shouted. The last thing they needed was Jaune and Yang fighting.
Yang was about to say something when Cardin walked over to their group with a smile on his face as he stood right next to her, "So Xiao Long-" Cardin started to say before Yang interrupted.
"You've got five seconds to get away Cardin or else." Yang scowled her vitriol quickly focused on the red head instead of Jaune.
"I just thought I should tell you that there's an animal in your midst." Cardin replied with a smile unaware of the bees nest he was poking.
"And his name is Cardin Winchester. Now get lost before I make you." Yang growled again her eyes beginning to flicker red.
"It's actually-" Cardin started to say before Yang made her move. In one swift motion Yang activated her semblance and sent Cardin flying with a brutal punch to the gut. The red head bounced twice before hitting a side wall with a brutal thud.
"Times up asshole." Yang smiled before flipping her hair and focusing back on food.
"Nice. Not much leg breaking but I'm good with that." Nora smiled.
"Thanks now if you don't mind, I'd like to finish my lunch." Yang replied as though she hadn't been in the middle of a big argument with Jaune moments before.
"Sounds good" Jaune smiled as he focused on his food also with the rest of the table not far behind.
(Scene Skip)
"Well that was annoying." Jaune groaned in annoyance as Team JNPR walked into their rooms after a very anti-climactic combat class. The first match of combat class was Yang vs Cardin's lacky Russel but when Goodwitch noticed Yang's aura was at 40% she quickly stopped the battle and asked what happened. Yang was forced to explain that she sparred with Pyrrha during the break before Port's and overdid it a bit. Goodwitch could have just had Jaune heal Yang, which she did before in exchange for him not fighting, but instead she chose to lecture the class on being responsible with your aura. Goodwitch made a point to remind the class that they wouldn't always have access to Jaune and that they needed to be careful with how they use aura. Once class was over, they left Team RWBY behind since Goodwitch wanted to talk to Blake. If Jaune was right, the professor wanted to discuss what happened with Cardin and see how she was doing.
"Think of the lecture as Yang's punishment for not letting you heal her. Speaking of which, I could use some healing myself" Pyrrha said with a sultry smile.
Jaune raised a small eyebrow, "What level is your aura Pyrrha."
Pyrrha blushed, "80 percent."
"You'll be fine then." Jaune deadpanned. Pyrrha just wanted him to feel her up for a bit, which Jaune certainly didn't mind, but now wasn't the time.
Pyrrha was about to say something when the door opened and Yang walked in, "Umm… hi guys."
"Why are you here Yang?" Pyrrha frowned
"I wanted… to apologize for earlier. I… I shouldn't have tried to pry into your business." Yang said bashfully since she wasn't used to apologizing. While they waited for Blake to get done with Goodwitch, Ruby and Weiss tore into her over the way everything played out. Weiss pointed out that her concern for Blake was a lie and she wanted something to hold over Jaune. When Yang denied it Ruby pointed out that the only time Yang was even remotely hostile towards their sister team was when Jaune was involved. Ruby did stuff with Nora Ren and Pyrrha without Yang saying anything, but with Jaune, she was as protective as it got. Both girls all but said that they needed to bury the hatchet so to speak.
"Apology accepted." Jaune replied to Yang's surprise.
"Just like that." Yang said in shock.
"Yup. I think it's because with your blonde hair and attitude you remind me of my sister Rogue. We used to argue all the time before I left for Beacon and I usually forgave them." Jaune said calmly.
"I see" Yang frowned.
"Something wrong with that?" Jaune replied with a raised eyebrow.
Yang took a deep breath since this was going to be uncomfortable, "Can you guys keep a secret." Yang said calmly
"Of course" Jaune nodded and the rest of JNPR did also.
Yang went over to Pyrrha's bed and sat on it before looking at the group, "As you guys know Ruby and I are sisters, but we don't look alike and that's because we have different mothers with the same father."
"So you two are half-siblings" Pyrrha said calmly.
"That's right but it shouldn't have been that way." Yang frowned.
"And why's that" Ren asked.
"When I was very very young, my mother left my father for reasons that I've yet to find out. It hurt my father greatly and he was ultimately comforted by Ruby's mother and a friend of the family Summer Rose."
"There's more to this story isn't there." Jaune said knowingly. Thanks to his dad and Roman, Jaune knew quite a few secrets about Yang's family. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a Raven on the windowsill and frowned even more because of what it meant.
"Yeah, but it's really tough to talk about." Yang replied with a solemn expression on her face.
Ren and Nora both widened their eyes because they recognized that look due to their own history, "I think that's enough." Ren replied before walking over to Yang and wrapping his arms around her shoulders so he could hug her.
"Yeah" Nora smiled taking her left side and following suit. Both people knew the pain of losing family and Yang's look suggested that the story had a very unhappy ending.
"Guys I'm okay" Yang said calmly.
Pyrrha frowned before walking over and standing in front of Yang blocking her view from Jaune, "You sound like you need to cry and that's okay." Pyrrha smiled.
'I'll be back in a second' Jaune said calmly knowing that Yang's pride wouldn't allow her to cry in front of him.
(Jaune P.O.V)
While Nora Ren and Pyrrha helped Yang get a good cry in, I slipped away. Making my way outside the dorms, I walked towards the statue of my ancestor since it was the easiest place on campus to have an actual conversation. When I arrived, I found a woman with pale complexion very long black hair and red eyes waiting for me with a scowl on her face. She was wearing a shallow cut black and red dress with black shorts underneath, with a belt on her side that held a large sheath for her weapon. Finishing her outfit was a pair of black mid-thigh-high leggings and some boots, "Your instincts are as terrifying as your fathers Mr. Arc or rather should I call you Mr. Luna.".
I figured she knew the truth about me, but turnabout was fair play, "She's done quite a bit in order to find you Ms Branwen." I smiled.
"Don't remind me. I'll be paying off that debt to Patricia for a while." Raven groaned putting her hands on her head in annoyance. I felt bad for her in that regards. Patricia Malachite was vindictive as hell and knowing that her daughters were injured because of Raven's daughter must've pissed her off something fierce.
"Pretty much" I replied but before Raven could say anything my else scroll beeped saying that I got a message from Roman. Checking the message I couldn't help but smile, something Raven quickly noticed.
"I know that look. What happened?" Raven frowned.
"See for yourself." I replied before handing my scroll to Raven. The message I got contained a video with the tagline. 'Councilor Arrested.'
Raven smiled herself, "Mind if I do the honors"
"Of course" I replied, and Raven pressed the video.
'This is Lisa Lavender of Vale news. Councilor Gaston Winchester was arrested this evening and charged in connection to over 100 different crimes including rape kidnapping torture blackmail and murder. According to police, an anonymous package was delivered to Vale police that contained a single black scroll. After determining that it was legit, police examined the scroll and discovered various message between the councilor and men connected to horrible crimes that have taken place over the years in the town of Vale. I just spoke with the commissioner of police and he told me that they were only a quarter of the way through the scroll and that means far more could be on the way'
"I'm assuming that getting him arrested was your handiwork." Raven smiled before handing me my scroll.
"Actually no. I asked Roman to access his blackmail files, but clearly he had his own plan" I replied pocketing my scroll.
"And that plan was a good one. Now if you don't mind, I'm going to return to the tribe. I just came to check on Yang before you spotted me." Raven said calmly.
"Go ahead and don't worry. I'll keep your appearance a secret."
Raven simply nodded before transforming into the same bird I spotted and flying away. As for me, it was time to return.
(Scene Skip)
When I opened the door, I was admittedly caught off guard at the sight in front of me. Pyrrha Nora and Ren were still in their uniforms, but Yang was a different story. Instead of her uniform, Yang was in a yellow bra that barely contained her massive breasts and matching panties. "I go away for ten minutes and this is what happens." I said with a flat expression.
"Well Fearless leader since you do still need to heal Yang and she does feel bad for what happened, I thought we could kill two birds with one stone." Nora smiled.
In other words, Pyrrha suggested it and Yang agreed so she wouldn't get Pyrrha mad at her also, "And Yang is okay with it." I asked rhetorically. She obviously wasn't if her awkward expression was any indication.
"Not really, but we're the only ones among are group who don't get along and if showing my rocking bod is a starting point, I'm good with that." Yang replied trying not to look at me.
"Get dressed" I said calmly.
"Huh?"
"You heard me Yang. Get dressed and afterwards I'll use my semblance on you."
Yang got up and started getting dressed, "Most guys would want me to keep my clothes off. What's the deal?" Yang frowned.
"As much as you annoy the hell out of me, I'm not enough of an asshole to do something you clearly don't want to do." I replied.
"I see." Yang replied. Once she was fully dressed, she sat on back on bed and I put my arm on her shoulder and activated my semblance
"That always does feel really nice" Yang replied. It was far from the first time I had healed Yang and she was used to the sensation.
"Healing is supposed to feel nice." I rolled my eyes. After a minute of doing it, I could tell that her aura was restored and pulled away.
"Thank you." Yang replied before getting up.
"I'm the group healer. It's what I do." I replied.
Yang got up and walked towards the door but stopped right at the entrance, "Before I go back to my team, can I ask you something?"
"Sure" I said calmly.
"Did you feel anything when you looked at me in my underwear?" Yang asked which caught me off guard. The answer wasn't a hard one, so I didn't mind telling her.
"Yang you have one of the best bodies of any woman I've ever seen in my life. To say I didn't feel anything when I saw you would be a flat out lie. Having said that, I want you to be willing to show me your body and not do it because Pyrrha and Nora gave you death glares." I smiled before staring at Pyrrha and Nora who tried to look away.
"I see." Yang replied as she opened her door and moved to join her teammates.
(NORMAL P.O.V)
When Yang returned to her room she was met by her team. Ruby and Weiss were sitting on Weiss's bed with Blake on hers, "So did you work things out with Jaune." Blake said calmly.
Yang took a deep breath, "Yeah but it was definitely more interesting than I expected." Yang admitted.
"What happened." Ruby wondered.
"Well I came in to apologize, he accepted, and I was about to tell them about our family Rubes.' Yang said calmly.
"How'd they react." Weiss wondered. Even she was a bit shaken when she learned about Ruby and Yang's odd family dynamic.
"Before I could finish Nora and Ren stopped me and hugged me. I cried in their arms and that was the end of that."
"What about Jaune?" Blake asked.
"He left because he knew I wouldn't cry in front of him." Yang answered.
"And yet you're healed." Weiss narrowed her eyes.
"He came back eventually and healed me." Yang countered.
"Alright' Weiss said with narrowed eyes before her scroll beeped. "This can't be good." Weiss frowned.
"What's up Weiss." Ruby wondered.
"My scroll is set to alert me to any major political news and… oh my god!" Weiss gasped as she saw the article about Gaston.
"What happened." Blake said nervously recognizing that something very bad had happened.
"See for yourself." Weiss said calmly as she showed her team the article. As the girls read the article the girls went through various emotions and when it was done the girls all needed a second to gather themselves. Once it was done, Yang broke the silence.
"I'd hate to be Cardin right now. Having his dad connected to 100 crimes and counting means that he's in deep trouble." Yang chuckled.
"I agree. My father isn't very pleasant himself but compared to Cardin he might be a saint." Weiss shuddered.
Blake rolled her eyes a bit, "Putting Weiss's dad aside, the bully of Beacon is going to have some serious issues and I for one hope he suffers greatly." Blake smiled.
"Agreed" Yang smiled.
"Yep." Ruby chuckled.
"While I agree with you, I can't help but wonder who delivered that scroll in the first place." Weiss wondered.
(Junior's Club)
Roman Torchwick sneezed out of nowhere as he sat at Junior's bar with a martini, "I wonder who's talking about me." Roman smiled.
"Probably Gaston cursing up a storm." Junior smiled.
"That would work just fine with me. That idiot was always too cocky for his own good." Roman smiled.
"Yeah, but I'm curious how you did it. There's no way Gaston would just leave a scroll with all his dirty deeds around." Junior wondered.
"A magician never reveals his secrets." Roman smiled.
"Whatever you…say." Junior said almost in shock. It was only because of how used to his task he was that he didn't drop the glass he was cleaning.
"What's wrong Hei." Roman said nervously as he noticed the shock on his teammates face.
"I think he was just caught off guard because of me" a voice said calmly from behind them. Roman and Junior froze as a blonde man sat next to Roman at the bar. He had blonde hair that was kept up and a yellow handlebar mustache with a pair of spectacles. He was wearing a white dress shirt with green suspenders and matching green pants. An outfit that ironically, wouldn't have looked out of place for a bartender.
"Well… this night just got very interesting. It's been a long time Jonathan." Roman smiled.
"Yes, it has Roman, Hei." Jonathan Arc smiled.
"So what brings you to my little bar." Junior said with a nervous expression.
"Well I figured that you two should be the second to hear the good news."
"Second?"
"First is the lovely wife."
"Gotcha how is ole Merlin." Junior chuckled.
"She's fine but down to business. It looks like I've been selected to replace Gaston on the council."
This time Junior did drop his glass, "You can't be serious."
"I'm one of the few people who can save the council from the incoming shitstorm" Jonathan Arc smiled.
"Oh right. You always believed that Gaston was involved in Mountain Glenn. It explained why he somehow got a spot on the council after the fallout from that disaster." Junior scowled.
"Yes, and we'll know soon enough if that's true." Jonathan Arc smiled.
"Either way things are about to get fun." Roman smiled.
"Speaking of fun. How's Jaune doing. I haven't spoken to him in a while."
"I wouldn't know. He hasn't stopped by yet." Junior frowned.
"The twins must be pissed." Jonathan Arc chuckled.
"They are but Pyrrha is giving them updates. According to her Jaune's been occupied with quite the harem." Junior chuckled.
"Really."
"According to Pyrrha, Jaune's making the moves on Willow's daughter and the Princess of Menagerie." Junior smiled.
"What's with you Arc's and Schnee women." Roman smiled.
"I don't know but if little Weiss is anything like her mother, Jaune will have some fun down the road." Jonathan Arc smiled before his expression changed.
"I know that look. What are you thinking Jon?" Roman frowned.
"Well… I'm thinking that it's time that Jonathan Arc returns to the spotlight."
"I see." Roman frowned well aware of what that meant.
"So are you asking us for permission or…"
"Asking for permission as much as anything. This affects you guys as much as it does me particularly you Roman." Jonathan Arc smiled.
"I always thought the name Gerrard Luna was a bit too pretentious for a guy like you." Junior smiled.
"I agree. Do what you have to do." Roman smiled.
"Alright." Jonathan Arc smiled.
"How about a drink since things are about to get pretty hectic."
"I can spare a drink or 4." Jonathan Arc smiled.
"Good because I think all of us are going to need one after the bomb you dropped." Junior smirked as he prepared the drinks. It was bad form to drink in the middle of the day but after the news his former leader just dropped, he would need it.
