"Wow, the shiny tree is back which makes me happy.," Perry said.
It was December in the Scamander apartment, and with Christmas on the way, Newt and Tina had decorated their holiday tree, with the help of the young beasts, hoping that Perry wouldn't give into her instincts and play with the shiny ornaments despite Nigel tempting the female Niffler youngster.
"It's okay Perry, it's good you're not listening to him as he's wanting mischief to happen but the holidays are coming up whichb should be fun." Duggie said seeing Marigold agreeing with the female demiguise youngster, seeing Newt wonder what was goijg on hearing Marigold tell him.
"Nigel stop being a troublemaker unless you want to be on the naughty list." he said.
"What's that uncle Newt, is this to do with the Santa guy you told us about, which is why Florian and Fortescuevare behavijg."Perry asked him.
"Yes he doesn't just visit Muggles on Christmas Eve, he also visits our people, beasts too so I'd watch myself, if I were Nigel." Newt replied seeing the young beasts talking excitedly about the holidays making Newt chuckle, knowing their parents were also excited about the holidays which was a good thing, as he'd decorated using magic and Tina loved it as she was busy doing MACUSA stuff.
"I have to go do something in Diagon Alley, Bunty's in charge until I get back." Newt told them seeing the young beasts understand, hearing Jacob upset because he wanted to go with Pickett and Newt, making Perry and her friends understand, sometimes they couldn't go on adventures But that was okay.
"It'll be okay, your dad and uncle Newt will come back, we promise." Florian told him.
"Yeah, he probably is doing holiday shopping." Fortescue added.
They were making the infant bowtruckle male feel better, unaware Nigel was trying to get at the baubles on the tree annoying the kids knowing what he was up to, seeing Pepsi stop him.
"That was close, as uncle Newt would freak out, if that had happened or blame Perry." Duggie told her seeing Perry nod in reply as they went to play, relieving Pepsi seeing Pepper taking an nap which made her relieved knowing thatPerry found it hard to take an nap because she wanted to play with her friends, plus would find it hard to sleep on Christmas Eve because of Santa.
They then saw Newt's Jacob there playing with wands impressing Florian and Fortescue knowing Jacob could not do much damage, seeing the others curious asking him for stories like last time making him chuckle getting ideas as he hadn't baked in a while and the holidays were the perfect time for baked goods making the young beasts excitable as Newt wouldn't let them in the kitchen, making Jacob chuckle while makijg cookies, letting them help hearing them giggle asking, if Muggles did this a lot.
"Yep, the holidays is when Muggles have baked goods among other things." he replied to them singing Christmas songs impressing them, as they had never heard these before as he was teaching them just as Newt walked in surprised at what was happening before him, seeing the young beasts in baker hats and aprons.
"Uncle Jacob let us help bake." Duggie said happily to him.
"I can see this, but please be careful you guys." he cautioned them.
"We're being careful, oops Perry get yourpaws off utensils," Newt heard Marigold said.
"Sorry, my instincts, remember." she told the female thunderbird relieving her.
"It's good they'reasleep, as bakimg riled them up." Newt told Jacob.
"Sorry Newt but I was keeping them occupied." Jacob replied.
It was nowmid-afternoon and after cleaning up the kitchen, he and Newt had lulled the young beasts into sleep, relieving their parents as they had seen their kids hyper after Jacob had let them sample treats, making Jacob hope they weren't mad at him.
