So, I've had trouble focusing on my longer pieces very well but want to keep putting out material that is good quality. I will still be trying to work on my main series as well but I need to do easier stuff right now, for my own sake. I'm going through the series again as a refresher and decided to do a set of one shots inspired by the main series as I watch through it again. A lot of the stuff I write, like this chapter, will be extremely short but others, like the next one, will be of more reasonable length.
I'm actually doing this with another series as well and it's well liked. Hopefully you like this, too.

I decided to do this one first because, although my next few chapters are based off of scenes earlier in the first episodes, this fit better first chronologically in the series. Since it is so short, I'm going to post the next chapter pretty soon.
Various Views on All Might's Debute Video
Looking at All Might's Debute, happily, even as the years went by, Izuku would never look at the initial reaction to this clip, years ago.
If he had, he might've been shocked that it was originally deeply criticized.
A new hero, laughing like a child, as he carried unconscious people across a smoldering landscape shaped by the mix of glass, cement and rebar that used to be buildings. A man who declared that everything was fine because "he was here!", even as people still needed to be rescued. And, although he would find most of them, for some, he would be too late.
All Might was, in fact, met with far more criticism than welcome upon the release of this clip and it would only be as his reputation grew, that this fact would be forgotten. People used to his style of heroics would hunt down this clip, and see more of the hero they were familiar with saving people and bringing hope; not a strange, imposing figure, laughing boisterously, as he carried unconscious bodies through the wreckage.
Honestly, the first time I saw the footage, although Izuku was adorable as he watched it, the scene he was watching was extremely uncomfortable to me. It's easy to shrug off a bit after learning about All Might himself and his intentions when acting like that but the clip, in and of itself is pretty uncomfortable.
