Happy Halloween!
Here's one of the two fics I'll be releasing tonight! This fic is different from my others. It's based off of a popular videogame called "Among Us". I was inspired to write a story based around the game (a mystery/horror) by a Youtube video. The video is called "Among Us but it's Youtubers" by Lizpatastic. The music and animation is absolutely beautiful; I love it to pieces.
There is also a reference to a song in this. "E-girls are ruining my life" by Corpse Husband.
Along with that reference are a couple of Easter eggs, but I don't really expect anyone to find or understand them, which is fine. I mostly threw those eggs in for my own entertainment.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish the story. I got distracted a lot, had a ton of homework, and was a little lazy (admittedly). It was kind of nice not having to worry about weekly updates so I ended up replaying Until Dawn and watching a bunch of horror movies. Anyway, back to the weekly updates. I have half of chapter two finished. I'll hopefully be able to update it next Friday or Saturday.
I really, really hope you guys like this. I really wanted to write a mystery/horror fic and I absolutely love Among Us. I thought it would be a good idea to do a Hellsing/Black Butler version since it's Halloween!

Chapter One
A great, big grand adventure had been very appealing words to Seras. Ever since she was a little girl, she dreamed about going out somewhere desolated to find something extraordinary. It wasn't necessarily the fame that attracted her or even the item she would find, but just the adventure. How she got there, who she met along the way, and just surviving all on her own with few resources and the night sky under her head. It was something that most children, and even adults, dreamed of she was sure. Who didn't fantasize about such things? Normally, people didn't get the chance to or never found their courage to just do it. But Seras did the second the opportunity opened itself to her.
It, at first, had been an average day for her those two years ago before her grand adventure started. She was a young adult and days away from being released from the orphanage, when suddenly, seemingly overnight, a huge corporation came into light. MIRA made itself known and became popular quite fast. They made a huge fuss over their program, making it sound great and impressive; just the type of adventure Seras had been looking for. The bonus, the adventure would be in space. MIRA wanted to send hundreds of crewmates up into space to mine for resources and study alien lifeforms and their geology. Very little was known about the corporation. All that had been revealed was that they had been around for a while, several years now, and were looking for more participants to widen their search.
MIRA offered amazing benefits and even had an education program. While the job had a bunch of perks, there were also some problems. The job was too advanced for the average Joe, meaning a lot of training was required, which is exactly why they offered an education program since finding someone with all the skills they needed was impossible. Someone who wanted this job would have to know something about engineering, know how to use the stars to navigate, be an electrician, have some medical education, and how to properly use large machinery and weapons. It was a lot for someone to take on, but thousands of people lined up for this job; this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Seras believed it would have been a long shot for her to get the job. The day she heard about the opening, she had filled out the application, as thousands of other people had done, and sent it in. Then and there she had decided not to get her hopes up because she felt that she would never get the job. But only a week later, she received a letter in response to her application and her heart just about dropped into her stomach. She had been accepted for the job and was expected to start immediate training. The best part, her training would begin on the ship in space. Of the thousand people that applied, only a few hundred were picked. Of those hundreds, people were split up into a group of ten and were sent to different locations throughout the galaxy.
Each person was assigned a special skin-fitted spacesuit with their name on it. The color of the suit made it easier to identify who was who, despite the groups being relatively small. Seras was given a simple off-white suit, but the color didn't particularly matter to her. The second it was given to her, she just about squealed in pure joy. This was absolutely amazing to her! She couldn't believe the adventure she was having, even if nothing particularly interesting was happening. Her first few months she spent on a spaceship called the Skeld. She was assigned to someone named Jeremy, a man with a cyan suit. He was well educated and in charge to teach Seras everything she needed to know to do the job right with as few casualties as possible. He taught her the basics of engineering and wiring, how to refuel the engines, clean out the air filters, fix O2 when need be, and navigate. Before long, she was doing all those tasks alone. Every so often, she would accidentally mess up the wiring and get a small shock, but that was the most severe thing to ever happen.
On the Skeld, Seras met lots of people. Most of them were super nice and helpful. Everybody seemed to get along. But out of all the people on the ship, Seras ended up spending a lot of her time with two of her crewmates. It started off light. Alucard or Sebastian would smirk her way, always without fail making her blush. Their eyes always did most of the talking for them. They silently welcomed her, but also told her how dangerous they were. But Seras didn't care. She proceeded to playfully sneak glances at them from across the room or give a small flirtatious smile. After about a month of that, they finally approached her and introduced themselves. It wasn't long before they were hanging out a majority of the time and doing tasks together. The job was seemingly great, not only was she having her grand adventure, but she was making friends as well. But, of course, there always had to be something wrong, even with a perfect job.
A lot of people on the ship seemed relatively okay that Seras hung out with Alucard and Sebastian. Their relationship didn't exceed past friendship yet. However, there were two people on the ship that gave Seras a hard time about it. It made her think of the older girls at her orphanage, just constantly bullying her when she was just trying to keep to herself. These girls, Jackie in a lime green suit and Rumay in a yellow one, harassed her endlessly. But all in one night, not only did the harassment stop, but her relationship with Alucard and Sebastian immediately became so much more. She vaguely remembered the same night those two girls mysteriously disappeared; she finally made a move on Alucard and Sebastian and lost her virginity. And even though that night should have been one to remember, she couldn't for the life of her. It was all a blur. The rest of the crew questioned the disappearance of Jackie and Rumay. They searched the ship from top to bottom, but there was no sign of them.
When nothing could be found of them, MIRA demanded that the Skeld's crewmates reported to HQ. Seras and her crew stayed at HQ for two weeks as MIRA looked further into it. But even they couldn't find any evidence to what happened. The only thing any of them could guess is that Jackie and Rumay got sucked out of the airlock at some point. It was undetermined if it was an accident or if the girls were purposely killed. But MIRA decided that it was best to keep the girls' disappearance under wraps and if anyone should question it, tell them that what happened to the girls was simply a tragic accident. So, Seras and the crew were sent back to the Skeld with two new crewmates, and they were back on their journey. It took a while for anyone to go back to work. Nobody talked or interacted much those next few days. The only cheery people on board were Alucard and Sebastian, and they kept to Seras like white on rice.
Two years working for MIRA went by so fast for Seras. She had been to so many different places and met so many different people. Her crew managed to stay intact since the two girls' disappearance; there hasn't been a single incident, thankfully. And her relationship with Alucard and Sebastian was so strong. Being with them for the last two years made her unbelievably happy. She was deeply in love with them and they were mad for her.
Almost everyone was super anxious and unbelievably excited today. After several months of being on the ship, they were finally landing to spend several weeks on a planet named Polus. While the planet was slightly below freezing and they were only there for work, everybody couldn't wait to get off of the ship. Personally, it was one of Seras' favorite places, mostly because of the snow. She absolutely loved the snow! It was so breathtaking! Another reason it was one of her most favorite places, because Polus was one of the few planets with breathable air. So they didn't have to wear those annoyingly large helmets. But, of course, the spacesuit was still required. Seras and the rest of the crew stood in the cargo bay of the ship, waiting eagerly for the cargo bay door to open and introduce them to the place that will be their home these next few weeks.
The small blonde looked around, just to take in the looks of excitement on everyone's face. Alucard in his red skin-fitted suit and Sebastian in his black one, stood close behind her. Several feet to her left was her old mentor, Jeremy, who was on his tablet, making sure it was functioning properly before he gets to his task. Close to him was Leslie in her orange suit and William in his purple. To Seras' right was Lily looking ever so cute in her pink spacesuit and Imane in her brown suit. But where were Charlie and Thomas? With furrowed brows, Seras looked around a little harder before spotting the two in the back of the cargo hold. Thomas, a dark green suited crewmate, sat on top of a medium sized box, while Charlie in his dark blue suit played lazily on his tablet.
Everybody's heads immediately looked up from the sound of metal screeching. The big, heavy door slowly lowered to reveal the snowy planet and their large work area. There were a total of five buildings, three large ones and two small ones. To the left of the ship was a lab that led to specimen room. Connecting specimen to admin (another large building) was a tunnel and decontamination chamber. In the admin building was a decent sized meeting room and a small lobby where they normally clocked in. Just to the left of admin was a deep lava pit. On the right, close to admin, were two small buildings. The first one, closest to the ship, was communications, also known as comms. That was where they were able to receive messages, respond, and send back data to other locations. It was also the place that kept their tasks up to date. Across from comms was a small building called Weapons. Sitting on top of the building was a large laser that blasted asteroids that threatened to crash down onto the planet. Not far from weapons and comms was a large building that had several different departments: O2, a boiler room, security, and an electric area that was fenced off. The second the door lowered all the way to rest on the ground, Jeremy gave his first order.
"Someone head to the electrical panel and get these flood lights on." He muttered before looking back at his tablet. "It'll take a few minutes for all the equipment to boot up."
"On it!" Leslie exclaimed and she ran off into the dark work area to turn on the lights.
"We need someone else at comms to make sure we're signaled in to HQ." Jeremy added.
"I can do that." Imane offered before walking off towards one of the smaller buildings. On the way, they heard her sing softly under her breath. "Choke me like you hate me, but you love me." Nobody else moved from their spots. They all just waited with bated breath for the lights to come on. At the moment, the area looked very unfriendly, maybe even a little scary. God, Leslie and Imane are so brave. Seras thought as she subconsciously stepped closer towards Alucard and Sebastian for comfort. The men snickered at the childish blonde.
"Does everyone have their tablets updated? As soon as Leslie gets the power on and Imane gets comms up, our tasks should be coming in." Jeremy announced. Simultaneously, everyone, besides Alucard and Sebastian, took out their tablets from a side pouch on their suit and made sure their tablets were ready to go. Seras jumped when the flood lights turned on, flooding every inch of the area with light. Immediately, the scary aspect of it was gone, giving them a new pretty picture. Snow was gently falling, making it look so peaceful. Leslie returned a minute later with such a wide smile on her face.
"All done, boss." She teased Jeremy. Their crew didn't actually have a captain. While Jeremy was the most experienced, he wasn't exactly in charge, though almost everybody looked to him to lead them. Just then, all of their tablets made a *bleep* sound, notifying them that their tasks have been updated.
"And Imane finished too." Jeremy murmured as he checked over all of his tasks. "Alright everyone, get to work and don't forget to clock in at office at some point." Automatically, Jeremy, William, Thomas, and Charlie all went to the left, heading straight for the lab. Everyone else fanned out and went in different directions. Smiling brightly, Seras turned to quickly grab hold of Alucard and Sebastian's hands.
"Come on!" She chirped and gently pulled to lead them off of the ship. The males, completely in awe of that charming personality and smiling ever so tenderly, willingly followed after their little lover. They knew how much Polus meant to her, especially since it was filled with such great memories of them. As soon as they left the ship, snow greeted them. The white flakes drifted down, distracting Alucard and Sebastian as it stuck to Seras' yellow hair.
"You're far too eager to get to work." Sebastian noted with a soft snicker.
"Yeah!" Seras exclaimed. Her tone gave him the impression that this was something he should have already known. "The sooner we get done with our tasks, the sooner we can just hang out." As she was saying this, they entered the farthest building to the right of dropship. When they entered, she finally let go of their hands to brush the snow out of her hair. There was an immediate door to their left that led right into electrical, but nothing was needed to be done in there so they walked right on by. Further down the hall, security could be found, but again, none of their tasks were in that particular area. There was a long hall between electrical and security that they did take.
"Meaning the sooner we can play in the snow." Alucard corrected her, knowing his lover far too well. But he didn't mind. The dark haired man simply grinned at his excited girl. They didn't even have to see her face to know that she was blushing right now.
"Maybe," She muttered bashfully. Reaching the end of the hall, Seras turned to the right and entered a small, botanical room. There was luscious green grass and a tall, sturdy tree that required some attention. On the tree was a monitor that indicated what exactly the tree needed and what it was getting too much of. At the moment, the tree was getting too much carbon dioxide, too little nutrition, far too much radiation, and not enough water.
"Poor thing," Seras mumbled as she fixed its settings. "It is freakin' amazing that you're not dead."
"Do you remember what happened last time beneath this tree?" Alucard practically purred before his long arms wrapped around Seras' waist from behind. His lips were drawn to her throat where he placed hot open mouth kisses. The small blonde instinctively shifted her head to offer her throat to him.
"How could I forget?" She chuckled with a flirtatious look in her eyes. Her hands caressed over his as her stomach tingled in delight. "It was one of our hottest moments together."
"Care to reenact it?" Alucard suggested. Roughly, he turned her only to slam her back against the trunk of the tree. He took her wrists in a tight hold and lifted them up over her head. The small blonde moaned as she submitted fully to him. Such innocence shone in her dark blue orbs as she gazed up at him. But all he could truly see was how badly she wanted him right then and there. He intended to give her every inch of him. With a soft, playful snarl, Alucard leaned down to kiss her hard on the mouth. Before it could get any more heated between them, someone cleared their throat. Alucard and Seras' lips broke apart before they glanced over at the door to find Leslie standing there. She looked so entirely embarrassed catching them in this position. There was such an adorable, but bashful smile on her red face as she hesitantly pointed at the tree.
"Sorry," She murmured and slowly stepped past Sebastian to come into the room. "I just…need to…chart the tree's progression."
"Sorry!" Seras exclaimed and quickly squirmed her way free. Alucard, showing his disappointment, backed away to fully release his lover. Fixing her hair, Seras timidly stepped around Leslie to give her full access to the tree. "Sorry about that." She muttered again.
"No problem," Leslie stated while she typed stuff out on her tablet. "Sorry I interrupted." The small blonde then glanced up at the dark haired males.
"Let's just go do our tasks. We can fool around later." She promised them in a whisper before exiting the tree room.
"Are you sure we can't play elsewhere?" Alucard asked as he 'subtly' caressed her ass. Seras jumped and pushed his hand off.
"Alucard!" Seras squeaked in surprise and quickly looked around to make sure Leslie hadn't noticed. Thankfully, she was preoccupied doing her tasks. However, much to her horror, another person did notice. Lily had come around the corner just in time to see Alucard grope her. Surprised by what she saw, the pink suited crewmate took a step back and her brows furrowed together. Completely and utterly mortified, Seras lowered her head and walked out the nearest exit that was across from the botanical room. And it certainly didn't help that Alucard and Sebastian found the situation so god damn amusing that they were practically laughing their asses off. "You guys are the worst!" Their little lover grumbled as she bashfully hid her face in her hands.
"You are irresistibly cute when you blush like that, darling." Sebastian admitted through chuckles. On the pathway to comms and weapons, Seras stopped midway and spun around to face them.
"It's not funny!" She responded like a child and cupped her blushing cheeks. "You and Alucard can't keep groping my ass in front of other people." Cautiously, the small blonde looked around to make sure that absolutely no one heard what she just said. The blush on her cheeks darkened, even though they were in the clear. Her blue orbs then flickered back up to look at them. "That is so entirely inappropriate." She whispered. The smirk on Sebastian's face widened a little. Reaching out, he gingerly brushed his finger over her cheek. She expected him to apologize, but he did the opposite.
"But it would be ever so hard to stop." He teased her. "That ass is far too grabble in our eyes. It's impossible to keep our hands to ourselves." With that said Sebastian wrapped his arms around Seras and pulled her closer. The small blonde stumbled a little as she debated rather she should allow him to pull her like this. Once more, her fear filled eyes glanced around them to make sure they were alone before she willingly leaned into his arms to press up against his body. Naturally, his hands moved down her slender form to grab her ass. He playfully squeezed it before pushing against it to press her further against him. "Besides, you clearly like it." He teased her a little further. Seras groaned in embarrassment and hid her face in his chest.
"That's beside the point." She murmured. Afterwards, she pushed against his chest to pull back out of his arms. Before fully leaving his arms, she playfully reached behind him to grab his ass. Just when she felt him jump, she quickly broke away and ran off giggling.
"You minx," Sebastian laughed.
"Hey, I'm allowed! You both constantly play with my ass! I'm allowed to get at least one grope every now and then!" She responded as she disappeared into weapons. The snow crunched under their boots as Alucard and Sebastian walked calmly to weapons. It was unfortunate because they knew it would be an hour or two before Seras finished her tasks completely. And she had already managed to get them excited by doing so little. Honestly, she should know by now not to tease them. They will only be tempted more to fool around with her in public, especially just to see her blush. When they walked into weapons, they found Seras standing in front of a monitor in the wall, though all of her attention was on her tablet. Her brows were furrowed together and there was a frown of annoyance on her lips. To prove that she was annoyed, the girl scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"I can't believe this download is going to take six bloody days!" Seras complained as she glanced up at Alucard and Sebastian. "I need my tablet for other tasks! I can't just leave my tablet here! And if I take my tablet with me, the download will delete its progress! This is so unbelievably frust-" Seras cut off midsentence as she looked back at her tablet. "Oh! It's done!" So quick, a smile replaced that frown.
"You are mental." Alucard joked. "You would have a little tantrum over something so small?"
"Leave me alone." She responded and playfully stuck her tongue out at him. Sliding her tablet back into her side pouch, she sauntered over to the computer monitor across the room. "Maybe you guys should go do some tasks." She ordered more than suggested. Leaning over the computer, she switched it on. It took a second for Polus' satellite's camera feed to come through and show the planet's atmosphere. The small blonde clicked her tongue when she saw the number of asteroids that were so close to the atmosphere, threatening to shower down on them. "Great," She mumbled sarcastically as she pressed a few keys on the keyboard to place targets on those asteroids. Seras then glanced over her shoulder to find Alucard and Sebastian still just standing there doing absolutely nothing. "Go do your tasks!" She raised her voice. "Or no sex!" She added to threaten them. Amused, Alucard and Sebastian snickered.
"Fine," Michaelis responded with a wave of his hand. He then left weapons to hopefully go do something useful. Alucard, on the other hand, didn't bother to take her threat seriously. He graciously walked over to his little lover, wrapped his arms around her, and planted his chin on top of her head. They stayed that way as she blew up asteroid after asteroid. She didn't bother yelling or nagging him about tasks because she felt so warm and secure in his arms. She didn't want to leave them. Something so small made her so entirely happy and she was going to stay that way for as long as she could. The male seemed pretty content as well as he mindlessly watched the asteroids explode.
"I love you," Seras whispered in the ever so silent room.
"I love you too." Alucard responded softly, making his girl smile so widely despite her hearing it dozens of times a week. She would never tire of hearing it, just like she would never tire of telling them. The room was silent for a few seconds more before it was broken. "You know, Michaelis and I would follow you anywhere. We would even follow you to the ends of the earth. You know this, right?" His arms tightened around her a little as Seras naturally leaned back against his chest. The small blonde tilted her head back a little to look up at him curiously.
"You would?" She questioned, sounding surprised. Grinning, Alucard shifted his head down to look at his little lover.
"Anywhere," He promised her softly.
"Alucard," Seras whispered. "Where is this going?" The male's grin faltered and his brows furrowed in confusion.
"What do you mean?" He asked. The small blonde sighed before looking back at the screen.
"Originally, I thought that this was just a fling." She admitted to him. "I thought it would have been just mindless fun for a couple of weeks before we went back to being colleagues. But…it wasn't like that." She proceeded as a smile crept onto her face. "We kissed and held hands openly, not caring who else saw. We spent nights in each other's rooms, sometimes just talking until we had to get ready for work again. We ate together and slept together. And then…came the day we started verbally expressing our feelings. We started to say 'I love you'. We've been together for two years now. This relationship I have with you and Sebastian became so much more than I expected. And I love it, I love you guys so much, but…where is it going? And…does it ever bother you that…I love Sebastian?" Alucard sighed deeply through his nose when he was asked all of these questions. Subconsciously, he reached down to wrap his fingers around her left wrist. He carefully lifted it and stared down at that bare ring finger of hers. Obviously Seras wasn't in the know, but he and Michaelis both have thought and even discussed marrying her. It was a subject that was constantly brought up for the past few months. They were both dying to put a ring on that finger of hers.
"I had no idea that things would go so far either, Seras." Alucard admitted to her in a whisper. His eyes remained on her ring finger, imagining the diamond that will be shining upon it soon…hopefully. "It was only supposed to be a fling, and having a three-way was absolutely thrilling." A frown formed on his lips then. "While I do have some issues having to share you with Michaelis, I can't…" He trailed off, unable to fully admit his feelings to her.
"What?" Seras whispered and she turned his arms. Naturally, the girl wrapped her thin arms around his waist the best she could. She planted her chin on his chest and stared up at him with such curiosity in her child-like eyes. "You can't what, Alucard?" His look softened while he stared down at her in awe. Her lover ran his fingers through her hair before giving her a small smile.
"I can't imagine us without him." He admitted to her in a whisper. "Somehow it would feel…incomplete, and I know how much he makes you happy; how much you love him and he loves you." Seras smiled so brightly up at him. Her hand cupped his, pulling his fingers from her hair to bring his palm to her lips. Despite him wearing a glove, she kissed deeply into that palm to soothe his racing mind and confused feelings.
"I know how hard it was for you to confide in me, Alucard, and tell me what you were truly feeling. But I do appreciate it." She whispered to him. "And I promise I won't tell Sebastian what you said." She teased him with a snicker. "I understand how confusing this whole thing is, especially since we tend to get judged a lot. But as long as we're happy, none of that matters, right?" Almost immediately, a grin swept across Alucard's face that eased Seras all the more. He wrapped his arms around her and kept her pressed up against him. "I love you and I love Sebastian. And so you know, Alucard, I would follow you two anywhere." Instinctively, he leaned down to kiss her on the mouth. Having done this hundreds of times, Seras closed her eyes and allowed herself to relax as she leaned into that mind numbing, absolutely amazing, warm kiss. She moaned softly in satisfaction and wrapped her arms around his neck. Unfortunately, Alucard pulled away a second later to flash a grin.
"We would do absolutely anything for you." He told her. "But I think you already know that."
"I know," Seras whispered, though she truly had no idea. The small blonde bashfully smiled up at him. "I think we're becoming one of those mushy couples, Alucard." She teased him.
"Perhaps," Alucard responded. "But, I suppose, love makes everyone act foolish. I was only insinuating how much power you have over Michaelis and me. I don't think you truly understand just how vulnerable we are when we're with you or what we would do just to be able to stay with you." Seras gave him a weird look. What lengths would Alucard and Sebastian go just to stay with her? It didn't particularly sound good the way he was saying it, but yet, she found it quite endearing. Because she knew that she would go to great lengths too just to stay with them, and that thought frightened and thrilled her a little.
"Let's get back to our tasks." She muttered. Her arms slipped off of his shoulders as she took a step backwards. Glancing over her shoulder, she was relieved to find that there weren't any new asteroids threatening to plummet down on top of them. "I have a couple of tasks over in comms." As she was saying this, she turned to smile up at Alucard. "Why don't you go do a few tasks?" She suggested.
"You're going to keep pestering me until I do, aren't you?" Alucard snickered.
"Probably," Seras giggled.
"Fine," He caved. He didn't sound too thrilled, but he managed to keep that large grin on his face. "If it will keep you from nagging me a second longer."
"Oh, so I'm a nag now?" The small blonde questioned with a small smirk and a raised brow. That twisted grin on his face widened as he leaned down a little to come more to her level. Gingerly, he wrapped his fingers around her chin.
"The second biggest nag I know." He whispered in a loving tone.
"Who's the first?" She asked while leaning her face in closer towards his.
"Michaelis," Alucard snickered. "He's wound up tighter than you are." He distractingly brushed his lips over hers.
"Alucard," Seras whispered. "Stop stalling and go do your tasks." She laughed with a sweet smile. The man clicked his tongue. His fingers slipped from her chin as he stood up straight to show his clear disappointment. But he didn't bother sticking around. Elegantly, he turned and started making his way out of the room.
"Yes, my little nag." He teased her. Alucard turned right, heading for either the office or admin. Seras, on the other hand, turned left to go straight for comms. She pulled her tablet from the side pouch to look over which tasks needed to be done in comms. She didn't pay any attention to where she was going. The uncoordinated girl looked similar to a stumbling drunk as she focused intently on her tablet. Reaching the entrance to comms, she paused for a moment to map out where she would go after she was done in comms.
"Okay," Seras mumbled to herself. "I have a couple of things to do in specimen and...Wait. Why is O2 still on here? I already fixed the settings for the tree...Didn't I?" She questioned out loud with furrowed brows. Clicking her tongue and placing the tablet back in the side pouch, she decided to return to the tree first before dealing with her tasks in comms. "Let's see what's going on over there. I must have screwed up the settings. Freakin' brilliant, Seras." She grumbled as she turned away from comms. The small blonde only took several steps towards the O2 building before she noticed something strange. From the corner of her eye, she spotted something colorful in the snow. Instinctively, Seras turned head, expecting to see a crewmate walking between the two buildings of comms and O2. Perhaps they were working on one of those weather node things. It was indeed a crewmate, but they were not exactly in the state Seras had imagined them to be in. Lying in the snow on their stomach was a limp figure cladded in orange rubber. There was a pool of blood that had formed under the body. Some of the pure white snow was splattered with the dark crimson liquid, looking similar to a Jackson Pollock painting. The blood shot in different directions, mimicking the killer's motion of how he stabbed and slashed her. Whoever had killed her had clearly had their fun doing it. The second Seras saw the body, she froze. Her eyes wavered in their sockets, forcing herself to take it all in and unwillingly branded every little detail into her brain that she could see or make out through the falling snow.
"Leslie?" The name left her lips, and yet she hadn't made a sound. Her hands trembled as she unknowingly clenched and unclenched them repeatedly. "Leslie?" She barely got out in a whisper. Seras blinked and for a split second, the scenery changed. For a moment, she hadn't been on Polus, but in electrical on the Skeld. "Leslie?" Her voice shook as she spoke the name again. She could see and smell the blood. She could see so clearly the bodies in front of her in electrical. "Jackie?" Seras whispered without thinking. She raised her trembling hands and, for a second, she thought that they were covered in blood. "What?" She whimpered as tears burned at her eyes. She stared at her shaking hands, unable to stop seeing the blood that covered them.
"What have I done?" Her eyes flickered down to see her white uniform stained with blood splatters, just like the ones in the snow. Puffs of white mist exited her mouth from the cold, but Seras could only see herself standing in electrical over two bodies. She could see the blood soaked screwdriver that she clenched tightly in her hand. Looking back up, she saw the two lifeless forms of her crewmates. "What have I done?" Seras questioned once more. They deserved it. A voice whispered to her in the depths of her mind. They had it coming. She recognized that chilling voice; her voice. They deserved it. It whispered.
What sickened her further was that she couldn't agree more with the voice. In the pit of her stomach, she absolutely knew that Jackie and Rumay deserved what came to them. But this didn't stop her guilt for what happened to Leslie. What did Leslie do? How could she have done this to sweet Leslie? She blinked again and she was back on Polus. Seras gasped when seeing Leslie's dead body in front of her. Her hands were empty of any weapon and her white suit was practically immaculate, showing no sign of a single drop of blood. Unable to support herself, the small blonde fell onto her hands and knees in the snow. She couldn't stop shaking and she proceeded to whimper in disbelief as she tried processing what was happening.
"What have I done? Leslie, I'm so sorry." Seras dropped her head in sorrow and guilt. She closed her eyes tightly and buried her fingers in her hair. "Leslie!" She screamed. "I didn't mean to. I'm sorry!" Seras cried out. Images kept flashing in her mind. She was unable to stop seeing Jackie and Rumay's lifeless body. Their eyes were gone of all signs of life. Their bodies were covered with deep holes, all done by a screwdriver. Their uniforms, hair, and faces were caked with blood. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop seeing it. And no matter how much she fought it, Seras couldn't stop feeling pride, relief, and…excitement. "Stop, stop, stop." She begged, hoping to go back to what she thought was normal. "Stop thinking about it." She breathed hard and fought harder to forget those bloody faces and those dark, questionable feelings. It confused her terribly. Why was she even seeing it; seeing them? Was that real? Was any of this real? Was Leslie truly dead? Or was this a hallucination? Seras jumped when someone grabbed her shoulders from behind. The small blonde gasped and shifted her head to find Alucard kneeling beside her. He gave her a small smile, as if this was supposed to ease her. But the confused girl only looked back at Leslie's dead body.
"Seras," Sebastian whispered her name. She heard the snow crunch under his feet as he walked towards her. Smoothly, the man kneeled beside her on her left and placed a hand on her back.
"Did...I do this?" Seras asked them. Had she blacked out and murdered a fellow crewmate? This scene felt so incredibly familiar to her. She could still feel the adrenaline rushing through her veins as her heart pounded hard in her chest. Surely she was the one who caused this, right?
"No," Sebastian snickered with a light shake of his head. "You didn't kill her."
"But..." Seras whispered and she glanced back down at her hands. She expected to see them covered in blood, but her gloves were very much clean.
"You were with us, Seras. You couldn't possibly have done this." Sebastian assured her with a gruesome smirk.
"But…Jackie…and Rumay." She breathed. Simultaneously, the smirks fell from Alucard and Sebastian's faces.
"What about them, Seras?" Michaelis asked her carefully, sounding completely serious. Seras only ended up shaking her head though. Hesitantly, she lifted her gaze to look back at the bloody scene in front of her. Her lips formed a deep frown and her face went pale. "What about them?" Sebastian asked her once more, even going as far as raising his voice to capture her attention.
"I saw them." Seras simply said, earning a strange look from her lovers.
"Are you sure?" Sebastian questioned with an arched brow. She knew immediately that neither of them believed her.
"Did I do this to Leslie?" The small blonde asked again. She was unable to look away from the body. She couldn't stop picturing Jackie and Rumay either. What was wrong with her? Why couldn't she stop those images from appearing? Why were they even appearing? Was it something real, something that shouldn't be ignored? It felt so real. Or was it just her imagination? Was she only picturing Jackie and Rumay brutally killed because Leslie had been clearly murdered?
"Why do you keep asking that?" Sebastian asked worriedly.
"Why do you feel as if you did this, Seras?" Alucard probed. He moved his hand from her shoulder, sliding it down her arm to gingerly cup her right hand. Seras flinched when he touched her there and automatically glanced down at their hands. Another image flashed before eyes, an image quite similar to this. It was Alucard's red gloved hand sliding a bloodied screwdriver from her shaking hand. The second that image popped in her head and faded away, her eyes flickered to his face. Were these…memories? Was it not her imagination after all? What happened? When they couldn't get any more answers from her, Sebastian sighed.
"Fine," He murmured and then reached into his side pouch to pull out his tablet. "I'll notify everyone else so we can get this all sorted out." Nervously, the small blonde glanced over at Sebastian. He calmly worked on his tablet, focusing intently on it and didn't pay any mind to the look he was currently receiving from her. What did he mean that he'll tell everyone else and get this sorted out? What was he going to tell them? Was…Sebastian going to…blame her? Was he going to tell everyone that she was…saying crazy things and…might've killed Leslie…and, quite possibly, two other crewmates? Worriedly, Seras reached out to latch onto Sebastian's wrist. His brown eyes flickered to her hand before he glanced up at her to give her a strange look. "Seras?" He spoke her name. "What's wrong?"
"She's scared that we're going to grass on her." Alucard spoke when she did not. Seras lowered her head when he said her fear out loud. It didn't help any when Alucard's comment seemed to amuse Michaelis. A smirk swept across his face and he chuckled.
"You should have more faith in us, Seras." Sebastian responded. "We would never. Besides, you are completely innocent of this kill. Alucard and I know this."
"Just keep your mouth shut." Alucard warned her. "If you tell the others what you told us, they will suspect you." Subconsciously, the girl gave a small nod of her head, though she wasn't truly able to focus on what either of them was saying. She stared at Leslie's body from the corner of her eye. Who killed Leslie? And why? Seras jumped slightly when she heard a soft pop sound come from her tablet. Instantly, she recognized the sound and knew she was receiving a message from another crewmate. She didn't bother to check because she already knew it was Sebastian informing the others of the body he had found. The three sat there quietly knelt in the snow and stared on at Leslie's body. They waited patiently for the others to arrive. It didn't take long.
First, Lily showed. Unable to believe the message she received, she came running out of O2 from behind them. The second she saw the body, she gasped, threw her hands up to cover her mouth, and stumbled back out of shock. Seconds later, Imane came running up from somewhere near the dropship. Panic was in her eyes and a look of pure disbelief. It seemed like the scene before her was just too hard to process. She came to a dead stop and just stared at the body with a faraway look in her eyes. And then finally, the last four appeared from wherever they've been this entire time. Much like Imane, William and Charlie had a complete look of disbelief on their faces. William's mouth hung open as he stared at the body. Thomas, on the other hand, was the only one that was actually crying. Fresh tears dripped down his face as he internally panicked. And Jeremy looked like he was in pure anguish. While he didn't cry, it was clear how much pain the man was in. And just in the depths of those dark eyes, Seras could see a fury brewing.
"Who did this?" Jeremy asked under his breath and he clenched his hands into tight fists. He didn't dare look away from the body, away from the bloodstained face of one of his oldest friends. To encourage her to keep her mouth shut, Alucard lightly squeezed Seras' arm. She kept her head lowered, looking more like she was in mourning than anything. Everyone looked around at each other, waiting for someone to magically fess up for the murder. But, obviously, no one did. Jeremy then looked over at Sebastian. "Was anyone else here when you found her?"
"No," Michaelis answered as he climbed to his feet. "Alucard, Seras, and I found her together." The small blonde furrowed her brows when he said that. She knew it was incorrect information he was giving, but she decided not to question him. He was probably just trying to make her look less suspicious. "I will admit, I didn't report it immediately, but that's only because Seras understandably panicked when seeing her. We, of course, had to calm her down first." Jeremy glanced at Victoria to see the state that she was in. Seras looked scared to death, which he couldn't blame her for. This was most definitely a scary position they were all in. All of their lives were in serious danger. He looked back at the body while he chewed on his bottom lip. What had to be done? Who did this? What steps did he have to take in order to find the culprit? Once more, he looked around at each crewmate, seeing the looks of horror on all of their pale faces. They needed him. They needed guidance and security.
"Why are you covered in blood?" Charlie asked outright. Seras jumped when she heard that question. Automatically, she glanced down at herself, expecting that question to be directed at her. But her suit was perfectly clean. There wasn't a single drop of blood on her. Then who was he talking to? Her heart dropped when the person answered.
"I went over to check Leslie; to see if she was still alive. Regrettably, she was dead by the time we found her." Sebastian responded. Seras was only becoming more and more confused. She glanced up at Sebastian to find that there were blood spots on his black uniform. It wasn't terribly noticeable, but just enough to draw some attention. Again, what he said didn't quite add up. She noted. When Sebastian got here, he didn't go anywhere near Leslie's body. He stayed right beside her, even when he was informing everyone of Leslie's death on his tablet. Not once had he gotten up to check if Leslie was still breathing. Seras stared up at him in pure disbelief. Was she really going mad? Had she just not noticed that he did check on Leslie at some point? Or was he lying? The small blonde's eyes widened. If he was lying, then did that mean…he killed Leslie?
"She was stabbed." Jeremy noted. Seras glanced back over to see her old mentor kneeling beside the body. "Multiple times in the chest by the looks of it." Stabbed. Seras repeated silently. All that fear and guilt drained from her eyes. Stabbed. She cocked her head to the side and tried harder to inspect the body from where she was. She couldn't see any of the deep cuts, but she was...mesmerized by the blood that pooled under the body and stained the victim's clothes. Stabbed. Seras closed her eyes as a new feeling washed over her. It was a feeling of excitement. Her body became warm, despite her still being out in the cold weather. She was burning up quite fast while her stomach tingled and tightened. She remembered this feeling. Stabbed. This feeling appeared the night she lost her virginity. That mysterious night was still foggy, but the feeling was so vivid. She could practically taste Alucard and Sebastian. She could still feel the pressure on her lips, their hands grabbing her, and the feel of their cocks as they eagerly took turns taking her. Seras shuddered in delight. That night had been absolutely beautiful. The small blonde opened her eyes to look back at the mutilated body. She once more got that sharp jab of arousal and suddenly she was quite ready to be taken by her lovers.
"The murder weapon," Imane spoke. She crossed her arms over her chest as she nervously looked around them. "Is it here?" Hearing this reminded Seras the position she was in. It brought her back to reality and she frowned from being disrupted from that feeling. Honestly, she probably would have come all on her own if she hadn't been bothered. But the moment was ruined. Anger simmered in her eyes for a split second just before it dawned on her what the hell she was doing. Her eyes widened and her mouth gaped open in bewilderment. Had she just got aroused from someone being murdered?! Seras blushed and shamefully hung her head. She knew how disgusting and wrong it was, but that didn't stop her from liking it. What the hell was wrong with her? This certainly wasn't normal behavior! She did recall the first time she had ever felt excitement like this. It wasn't as strong back then, but still...it was such an adrenaline rush. It was when she drove a fork into a man's eye. Knowing the pain she caused him, nowhere near the same pain he had caused her but was close enough, it had been...thrilling. Ever since then, she has been chasing for that same thrill. It just never occurred to her what could bring her all that excitement. Seras looked back at the body and tried hard to keep from smiling.
"I don't think so." Jeremy muttered as he gingerly pushed Leslie up a little to look under her body for the knife.
"It was probably stashed somewhere." William figured.
"Or the person is still carrying it." Charlie added as he proceeded to stare suspiciously at Sebastian. Jeremy sighed as he once more looked around at everyone. Afterwards, he brushed his hands off on his pants as he rose to his full height.
"Alright, everyone, empty your pockets." He demanded. Charlie was the only one who didn't hesitate. He immediately reached for his side pouch to prove his innocence. All of the other crewmates looked at each other in uncertainty before following along. Charlie pulled out his cracked tablet and a pack of dueling cards, showing that his pouch was completely empty. In Thomas' pouch was: a tablet, some candy, and a small bag of biscuits. One by one, everyone emptied out their side pouches. There were gum wrappers in Lily's, a pack of dueling cards in Imane and William's, and a pair of black sunglasses in Jeremy's. All Seras had in her pouch was a tablet, a wrinkled photo of her parents, and a pack of M&Ms. In Alucard's pack was a pair of tinted red sunglasses and a tablet. Alucard and Seras both looked over at Sebastian. While one was highly worried of what may be in his pouch, the other grinned in amusement of this whole ridiculous thing. Calmly, Sebastian opened his side pouch and removed his tablet, an old pocket watch, a spare pack of M&Ms for Seras, and a picture of a cat. Smirking, he looked back at Charlie and Jeremy.
"Maybe we should split up and look for the knife then." Imane suggested as she stuffed everything back into her pouch.
"Why would it matter?" Jeremy asked and he folded his arms over his chest. "We all wear gloves so even if we did find the murder weapon, we wouldn't be able to find out whose prints are on it." He then shook his hand to prevent anyone else from talking. "Let's just take care of Leslie first and then finish this discussion in the conference room."
"We're not going to just leave her here, are we?" Lily asked. Her hand was still pressed against her mouth as she stared down at the body. She looked like she was about to be sick.
"Of course not!" Jeremy exclaimed and he gave her a strange look for thinking such a thing. "We'll put her on the dropship." He then glanced over at William. "William, Charlie, go get a stretcher and sheet from Med bay." As they left, Jeremy proceeded to give out orders. "Everyone else, just go and wait in office. Charlie, William, and I will take care of Leslie."
