Just when Sakura adapts to the routine of waking up in each lifetime with possibly a different set of skills and with a different individual as life partner, fate probably got bored with her and threw her in for another loop.

…Seriously? Time-travel? Warring States Period? And falling in love with Uchiha Madara of all people?

Sakura wonders if she's truly going crazy, because part of her, her core, what makes her Haruno Sakura, the Godaime's Apprentice and Neo Sannin Sakura, resents the idea of even being close to the one whose ambition swallowed him whole, but another part of her sees him savable and hopes to show him a future that's not tainted with loss and grief and madness.

Sakura has to admit, she really did struggle for a long time with that particular life as Uchiha Sakura (but not the Uchiha Sakura she used to be), trying to defy fate, trying to defy her own beating heart and stop it from thumping against her ribs when Madara's eyes soften for her, so no wonder she puts up less resistance when she somehow time-travelled again in her next few lifetimes and finds love in Senju Tobirama or Senju Hashirama or even both the Uchiha brothers and the Senju brothers.

Sakura wonders, after the birth of her 5th child for her husbands, if she should even thank fate for not throwing polygamy into her face earlier.

Sakura can remember all her children's names. Yes, she has given birth to a lot of them across lifetimes, but hey, she has always had an awesome memory.

(Though she no longer names any Uchiha females Sarada. That name is taken.)

Getting used to becoming Hiraishin no Sakura is easy, because Hiraishin no Jutsu is absolutely amazing, and getting used to living as time-travelling Sakura takes more time, but gradually she adapts to fate's calling as well. But fuck, ending up as the Yellow Flash's wife and holding a pink-haired baby who is named Naruto by his father. Sakura shudders.

'This is getting more and more ridiculous.' Sakura internally sweatdrops even as she holds the cooing baby Naruto to her chest and smiles down at him.
