Good Evening,
I hope you guys enjoy.
Oxford Not Brogues
Chapter Seventeen
Sebastian released a deep sigh when he found himself on the other side of their bedroom door. There was such a deep frown on his lips and disappointment brewing in his perfect brown eyes. He stared menacingly at that door for a moment or two before he made up his mind and walked away.
"Do you regret what was said to her?" Alucard questioned as he followed alongside the demon. Staring at Sebastian from the corner of his eye, he could see how infuriated but bothered the man looked. The demon gave a brief side glance before looking forward once more. He scowled at the question, but answered anyway.
"I hate fighting with her." Sebastian muttered. Despite his words, his eyes glowed sinisterly, showing his rage. "I hated seeing that look in her eyes." His own eyes flickered down so he could frown at the floor. "But I had every right to say that to her. It bothers me a great deal that Seras can't fully trust us." After a second, the demon glanced back at the elder vampire who, surprisingly, was giving him his full attention still without so much as grinning or snickering. Alucard, for once, looked fully serious. "Why?" Sebastian questioned, wondering if the No Life King had any idea why their bride was the way she was. Alucard sighed heavily through his nose while he drew his gaze elsewhere.
"Perhaps she subconsciously feels guilty for having two mates." The elder vampire suggested, causing the demon to furrow his brows. "Sexually, we're a huge responsibility for her. She has to satisfy us both and that can be quite intimidating."
"You think she sees us as adulterers because she's afraid that she can't fully satisfy us?" Sebastian asked.
"Possibly," Alucard responded as the two strolled down the hall at their own pace.
"But why would that make her feel guilty for possessing two mates?" The demon probed.
"There's two of us and only one of her. We have to share her." The elder vampire proceeded. "She may feel that she's not giving us enough attention or love, especially now while she's pregnant. She's so preoccupied with the babies. Not to mention, she's always sleepy or sore that she doesn't have the energy to do much of anything with us. She may think that we're tired of having to share one woman, of having to fight for attention and affection, which is why she believes that we're being unfaithful to her."
"Admittedly, it had been sexually frustrating these last few months. But I don't blame Seras or the babies. I understand perfectly that she's too uncomfortable to have sex and isn't in the mood ever. I don't think she realizes that we can channel all that sexual frustration elsewhere without having to be unfaithful to her." Sebastian replied. A large grin swept across Alucard's face then and he chuckled lowly to himself.
"Seras has been quite blind." He agreed. "It's truly astounding that she hasn't caught on that we've been shagging each other every few hours a day for the last few months."
"Actually, I have noticed." Their conversation was unexpectedly interrupted. The grin slipped from Alucard's face, but his pupils dilated in response when hearing that melodious voice. Simultaneously, the two monsters stopped in their tracks and turned to find their bride behind them. Immediately when looking at her, the little vampire shifted her gaze to stare at their shoes. "You guys…make a lot of noise…when you're having sex." She mumbled. Much to her misfortune, she wasn't given any response. She was left standing there with them staring down at her, making her feel all the more uncomfortable and awkward. Seras frowned and nervously glanced back up at them. "Can we please talk?" She asked pleadingly. It stung when Sebastian looked away from her just to stare down the corridor.
"No," The demon answered in a deep tone. "Alucard and I are busy. We need to meet with the delivery…"
"I am your mate. They can wait." Seras raised her voice to capture his attention. It worked. Sebastian looked back at her to give her a staggered look from that authoritative voice she had used. "You can tip them big for being several minutes late, but for right now, they can wait while we finish discussing what happened." The demon gave it a moment's thought before making up his mind.
"Fine," He answered and turned fully to give her his attention. "What is it that you would like to say?"
"The fact that you think I might believe that you and Alucard both are being unfaithful." Seras responded as she crossed her arms over her chest. "I won't lie to either of you. It did cross my mind, but it was an unwanted thought!" She exclaimed. "As soon as I thought it, I quickly dismissed it because I trust you guys one hundred percent!" Sebastian had a useful skill of being able to tell when people were lying. And even though he could tell she wasn't, he couldn't help but not believe her. The demon's look darkened and his lips tightened into a thin line.
"That is utter rubbish and you know it, Seras!" Sebastian suddenly exploded on her. Even Alucard gave him a sideways glance.
"Michaelis," The elder vampire attempted to calm him, but he was disregarded.
"For months you have been putting off having sex with either of us! But the second you think Alucard and I are up to something, which shall you know was a surprise for you and the twins, you suspected us of infidelity and figured you would 'reel' us back in by having intercourse! Why do you always believe that Alucard and I are up to no good?" Sebastian ranted and raved while his bride just stood there with an exhausted look on her face.
"Will you stop shouting?" Seras sighed then as she tiredly pinched the bridge of her nose and rubbed over that area. Afterwards, she gave him a look of disapproval. "Are we having this argument solely on the fact that I wouldn't have sex with you? If it is, then we have a serious problem in our relationship."
"It's not!" Sebastian argued. "It's because you did have sex with us." Before silence could completely befall them, Alucard leaned towards him a little.
"You do realize how ridiculous that sounds, right?" The elder vampire questioned.
"Alucard, it's not a good time for your distasteful sense of humor!" The demon growled. "You're the only person in this corridor who thinks you're funny!"
"Stop shouting at Alucard!" Seras interfered. "And for the record, I find him funny! And he's absolutely right; you do sound ridiculous!" She shouted back at him. "What do you mean the issue is because I had sex with you?! I thought that's what you bloody well wanted!" Straightaway she knew where this discussion was going to go if they continued shouting at one another. It seems that's all they could ever do anymore was get into frequent arguments. Was their relationship going belly up? Why? They never fought like this before mating. Why now? Before this argument could get any more out of hand, the little vampire kept the demon from saying anything by immediately stepping forward to place a hand over his mouth. "Stop, stop." She begged of him lightly when seeing him tense up. His fists were clenched tightly at his sides while he glowered at her with such a hateful look in his red eyes. She had never seen him so angry before. She could actually feel him shaking in rage. Her other hand slid down to gently take one of his hands, hoping to comfort him to the best of her abilities. "Calm down," Seras whispered soothingly. "I don't like fighting with you and I don't want it harming our relationship. Let's calm down together, alright?"
Looking down at her, seeing how scared and apologetic she looked, the demon couldn't help but feel shameful for the way he acted. He wasn't normally the type of person to become hotheaded like that and actually yell. And he never thought Seras would be the one to make him so angry. As much as he hated to admit it, she was right. They should both take a second to cool down and talk civilly. Sebastian slowly closed his eyes and let his rage settle. He took deep breaths through his nose, not being allowed to let that air out through his mouth considering his bride's hand was still placed there. After a long minute, he opened his eyes to show Seras that he was calm now. Seeing this, the little vampire slipped her hand from his mouth to take his hand in both of hers. She gingerly rubbed her thumb over his hand while she stared deep into his eyes.
"I'm sorry." She whispered then. "I'm sorry for yelling and I'm sorry for making you and Alucard feel like I didn't fully trust you." Hearing her apologize, while it did make him feel a little bit better, it also made him feel guilty. Should he apologize for acting like an ass and scolding her for having sex with them? Thinking about it now, it was ridiculous of him to get mad at her over that. No matter how suspicious the act may have been, it didn't give him any right to accuse her of only having sex with them because of something else. They had a wonderful time together this morning, the first time in months, and he ruined it. "May I explain why I chose to have sex with you and Alucard today?" The demon didn't answer. He just stood there frowning while staring deep into those hurt eyes of hers. He wanted to tell her that she didn't have to explain herself, but he couldn't vocally tell her that. He wanted to know the truth. Why did she do it? Again, the thought was laughable to him. Why was he even questioning why his mate decided to have sex with him and Alucard? Honestly, they should just forget this damn conversation.
"Why?" Alucard asked when he wouldn't respond to her.
"It wasn't because I thought you guys were cheating. It's because I realized that…I'm never in the mood anymore. I always feel so…sluggish and uncomfortable. I definitely don't feel sexy whatsoever and I'm, most of the time, sore. I don't know if it's the pregnancy that has me all out of sorts so I'm never in the mood or if…" The little vampire trailed off. With a sigh, she lowered her gaze while she gave what she was about to say some thought. "What if I'm never in the mood again?" Seras asked. "What if…I'm tired of sex and…all passion is lost between us?" She glanced back up at her mates. Both men were giving her such a confused look and she couldn't blame them. She was confused herself. What did she feel anymore? "I know it's been a long, miserable few months and there hasn't been much intimacy. I'm sorry for that, but it's just so hard to get in the mood anymore. I'm scared that I'll never be in the mood again, which is why I wanted to have sex with you guys tonight. I just needed to be reassured that…there was still passion between us."
Seras was disappointed when another uncomfortable silence found its way into their conversation. After spilling her feelings and thoughts, she was left standing there quietly as Alucard and Sebastian just gawked at her. When not getting an immediate answer from either of them, the little vampire frowned and nervously lowered her gaze to stare glumly at the floor. What were they thinking? Had she lost them somewhere while she was rambling? The entire time she had been talking, they looked nothing but confused and a little apathetic; like they couldn't understand at all what she was going through or what she was feeling. Unless they weren't confused? Maybe her fear had been right and the passion was dying between them. Were Alucard and Sebastian fully aware of this and that's why they weren't saying anything? Unable to take the silence a second later, the Draculina huffed in frustration and, like a child, she stomped her foot.
"Will you guys please say something?" She asked as her eyes darted back up to look at her mates. Simultaneously, Alucard and Sebastian glanced at each other, giving very similar looks. It was almost like they couldn't believe what they were dealing with; like their look was silently saying 'she's crazy'. Afterwards, the two looked back at their paranoid bride.
"I think you are right about one thing, Police Girl." Alucard spoke while a gentle grin crept onto his perfect lips. "This pregnancy has got you all out of sorts. You're not thinking straight and your emotions are haywire." To their bewilderment, these words didn't set the little vampire off, but only calmed her. Her shoulders sagged as she released a breath of air. There was a look of exhaustion, but understanding too in her eyes.
"You think so?" Seras asked in a whisper. "God, I hope so."
"The passion between us is as fiery as ever." Alucard proceeded to assure her. "It's just been a slow few months and we haven't been able to express that passion through intimacy, like we normally do." A small smile finally settled on their bride's lips and she laughed softly in agreeance.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." She murmured. "I had a difficult time not pouncing you when you kissed me earlier. And…I guess it was that kiss that initiated the need for intimacy."
"Oh?" The elder vampire purred and his grin widened to show off those teeth.
"You don't have to worry about such things." Sebastian stated as he cupped the side of her face to brush his thumb along her cheek. "We had such a splendid morning together. The passion is still very much there." Unfortunately, their little bride frowned then.
"We've been fighting so much lately." Seras whispered. The soft smile on the demon's face vanished to be replaced with a frown.
"We've had an argument here and there, but we don't fight all the time." He responded. "It may feel like a lot because we've never actually fought before."
"We won't always agree on everything, Seras, but we will always reconcile." Alucard added. Sebastian then combed his fingers through her hair to brush her bangs out of her face. But even then his bride didn't look at him. She kept her eyes glued to the floor. With a small smirk, the demon leaned down to come more to his bride's level.
"I'm sorry for yelling." He whispered, hoping to gain her forgiveness. Seras' eyes flickered to his face. She stared at him for a good few seconds before she finally smiled.
"I'm sorry, too." She replied softly. "Should we kiss and make up?" She asked with a bashful little smile. Sebastian snickered under his breath as he leaned down a little further. Lovingly, the demon gingerly pressed his lips to hers. Seras instantly melted away into that warm, soft kiss. Feeling at peace, she closed her eyes. It felt so good to kiss him again; to know that everything was back to being alright between them. She hoped that they would never fight again. Their lips gently smacked as Sebastian pulled away. To further ease his mate, he cupped the side of her face and ran his thumb along her cheekbone. Automatically, his bride cupped his warm hand and leaned further into his touch. He loved the way she stared up at him. It was such an innocent look with warmth practically glowing in that beautiful red hue orbs of hers. He adored her deeply.
"I'm sorry, my darling." Sebastian apologized before placing a kiss between her eyes. "I have to go sign for some packages and make sure everything is in order." He planted another kiss, but this time on her forehead. Thankfully, Seras wasn't disappointed. The smile on her face only widened, telling him that she understood perfectly.
"Alright," She whispered. "I'll keep out of the way and go back to bed."
"Perhaps Alucard and I will join you after the humans leave." The demon added. That smile on her face manifested into something sinister.
"Join me how?" The Draculina asked in a purr before she kissed deeply into the palm of his hand. A shudder shot up the demon's back when he caught her little hint. Seeing that look in her eyes and knowing exactly what she wanted made him want to drag her back to the bedroom and show her how badly he wanted her in return. His stomach had tightened in need and his cock twitched lightly in anticipation. Sebastian licked over his lips as he fought off those feelings. No, meet with the humans first and then defile his wife. However, before he could even respond, Alucard was acting on his urges. The elder vampire stepped forward and roughly grabbed Seras by the wrist. Before she could even process what was happening, Alucard was pulling her towards him to lock her in his hold. His arm was like a steal band around her, keeping her pinned to him. He crushed his mouth to hers hard, instantly earning a moan from his little needful bride. He devoured those soft, delicious lips. His fingers tightened around her wrist, threatening to break it if the feeling between them got anymore overwhelming. Seras whimpered but did nothing to shake him off or escape. Even with her wrist aching, she found his touch soothing as he kept her pressed against him. Her heart was racing, which caused her babies to kick wildly in her stomach, as if they were dancing to the beat of her heart.
Alucard, His mate breathed in the depths of his mind. Alucard forced his tongue between her lips to violate her mouth. The little vampire moaned as she tilted her head back to accept that deep tongue kiss. Impatiently, Sebastian removed his pocket watch from his trousers and clicked it open. Dismayed when seeing what time it was, the demon hummed while a deep frown formed on his lips. As he placed his watch back in his pocket, he glanced back at the two vampires. It was clear that they weren't going to finish up any time soon and he certainly didn't have time for that. Honestly, Alucard should know that they were on a schedule. He cleared his throat. It didn't come much of a shock to him when he was ignored by the sex starved monsters. The demon's eyes flickered down to watch her swollen stomach as she was kept pressed up tight to Alucard. He couldn't help but pity the twins having to be smooshed between their parents who snogged endlessly.
"Alucard," Sebastian spoke as his gaze lifted. "The delivery people," He attempted to remind him, but he proceeded to be ignored. "Seras?" The only response he received were moans from the vampires as Alucard slid his hand down to grab Seras' ass. Aggravated, the demon hung his head and gave a deep sigh. He could physically feel his temple throbbing. Sebastian understood perfectly the lust searing between the two vampires. He understood the difficulty of restraint. He too wanted to be kissing and touching his bride, something he hasn't been able to do in weeks. But there was a matter that needed to be dealt with first. Why couldn't have Alucard just waited a few minutes more and assisted him with the pile of packages that were being delivered? It wasn't the problem of carrying everything himself, which was no issue for him. The issue is that Alucard supposedly purchased a few items and the demon needed to know if the items being delivered were correct. But, as usual, he was the only responsible one and would have to take care of it himself. Sometimes he truly felt like he has kids already that he was constantly cleaning up after and scolding.
"Fine," He spoke then and lifted his head to give Alucard a dark look. "I'll do it myself then." Just as he was turning, the elder vampire spoke.
"Will you stop getting your knickers in a twist?" Alucard scoffed. The demon glanced over his shoulder, a scowl still on his face, and saw that the two had finally stopped kissing like ravenous teenagers. The No Life King was lovingly brushing his thumb over Seras' soft cheek as he stared at her with a tender look in his eyes. His little Draculina was purring while she held his free hand up to her face and kissed deep into his palm. "I'll help you. I just wanted a minute with my bride."
"And I would like the same." Sebastian raised his voice as he turned to face them. "I would just like to get this done, Alucard, so we have time with Seras before we start the project." The little vampire stopped kissing her master's palm to glance over her shoulder at the disappointed demon.
"Sorry," Seras murmured with a pathetic smile. "I got caught up in the moment. I'll stop distracting him." Keeping true to her word, the Draculina took several steps back away from her Sire. Disappointment simmered in Alucard's eyes, but he still held a soft grin on his lips while looking at her. And he couldn't stop purring, he was in too good of a mood after that hot kiss. He supposed that kiss will satisfy him for a few minutes until he can get his hands back on her.
"I don't blame you at all, Seras." Sebastian told her carefully in a calm voice. He then pointed an accusing finger at the elder vampire. "It's that boor of a master of yours that I blame." This captured Alucard's attention. That tender smile shifted to a large grin and he cackled in amusement.
"And what exactly makes me a boor, Michaelis?" The No Life King questioned.
"You're standing in the middle of the corridor groping Seras' arse while shoving your tongue down her throat." The demon reminded him. The Draculina made a strange sound before her cheeks were invaded by a dark blush.
"I'm in the confinement of my own home. I think I can grope Seras all I want. Hell, I could strip her down naked and fuck her up against the wall if I truly wanted to." Alucard snickered. "And you're being an absolute hypocrite. You would do the exact same. But since we're on a 'tight schedule' and you want things back on track, you've resorted to implying that I'm uncouth." Seras glanced between the two males. There was still a large grin on Alucard's face while the demon was practically glowering at him.
"Perhaps I am a hypocrite, but we are most definitely on a tight schedule." Sebastian responded.
"Must Seras and I always run on your schedule?" The elder vampire sighed. He could see that he was getting under the demon's skin, agitating him a little further with every word. And Alucard was enjoying it. "Can you never afford to be tardy? Or just say the hell to the schedule?"
"I...don't have...an issue...with the schedule." Seras murmured, but Alucard stopped her from saying anymore but holding up one of his hands.
"Don't intervene." Her Sire instructed her. The grin on his face was only getting larger the more he fucked with Sebastian. "I'm trying to help, Michaelis." Though, it was pretty clear to all that the elder vampire was not being helpful in the slightest. "He has a sad little addiction to keep everything in order and always be on time. If he's ever late for anything, he'll have an aneurysm." Alucard teased.
"I know what you're doing, Alucard." Sebastian sighed. "You're stalling to make me later than I already am to meet with the delivery people."
"So?" The elder vampire snickered. "We're paying them. You can be as late as you want."
"That seems rude. They probably have other clients to deliver to." Seras spoke up.
"Exactly," Sebastian agreed.
"But can they afford turning down a job like this? They're already being paid a lot, but we can also give them a bonus if we truly wanted to."
"This is ridiculous!" The demon exclaimed then. Deciding not to stand around for a second longer to listen to this utter nonsense, he turned on his heel and began making his way down the corridor. Honestly, why did he stick around for so long? All he was doing was humoring the bloody vampire! Confirming what he said to be true, he heard the elder vampire cackle like a mad man. Sebastian merely rolled his eyes with a sharp click of his tongue. Automatically, the elder vampire followed after the hard-ass of a demon to go meet with the delivery people. Seras was left standing in the hall. Placing a hand on her stomach and watching after her mates, the girl said one thing to her unborn children.
"Your fathers are crazy."
The delivery people were not happy in the slightest. A woman in her late thirties stood out on the grand porch of the manor in a huff. She had pounded on those double doors and had called out to the owners but never got a damn response. And what door doesn't even have a bloody doorbell?! After trying for so long to get an answer, she stood there with her hands on her hips and glowered at the front doors. Her two colleagues, one of them a young kid in his twenties and the other a man in his forties, sat on the steps of the porch. Earlier, she had sent the kid back to the main gates to try and get someone on the intercom, but nobody answered. What the hell was going on? How long were they supposed to wait for? The gentleman had instructed them to unload the truck, so now there were a large pile of packages sitting in the front yard. They couldn't just leave them, like Charles, her oldest colleague had suggested they should do. Someone needed to sign for them before they can leave.
It didn't surprise her that the two men with her were practically begging her to just leave the packages and move on to their next client. So irresponsible, she sighed to herself. The woman, Vanessa, glanced back down at her clipboard for the fifteenth time to look over who ordered all these packages and where it should be delivered to. Unexpectedly, the front doors swung open, immediately causing her to lower the clipboard and stand up straighter. The dark-haired men that came to the door were definitely creepy blokes. They were so tall and had such unusual smirks on their faces. And even though their eyes looked human, she saw nothing but malevolence in them; pure evil. They brought a dark, sinister and dangerous presence that couldn't be ignored. Timidly, Vanessa gulped before looking back at her clipboard.
"Mr. Michaelis?" She spoke, trying to center her attention all on the clipboard so she wouldn't have to meet those horrid gazes again. Being a religious woman and always trying to see the good in people, for the life of her she couldn't see any good in them. This place she had come to was swarming with nothing but evil and darkness. She wanted to get this delivery over with as fast as possible.
"Are all packages accounted for?" The man she assumed was Mr. Michaelis asked.
"I believe so, sir." Vanessa answered without looking at him. Over her clipboard, she saw Sebastian step out onto the porch to approach her. Instinctively, the woman stepped back away from him while a tremor shot down her spine. But the man didn't take offense. Not much to her shock, the man appeared to be used to these types of responses.
"Please, go down the list of what you have in your possession. I would like to make sure it's correct." Sebastian spoke as he smoothly moved beside her to read over her shoulder. Vanessa cowered in his presence but he showed no acknowledgment of it. His eyes carefully scanned down the list of items she was delivering to them, making sure all was accounted for. Things appeared to be in order. As Mr. Michaelis read over her shoulder, the woman glanced back at the man standing in the threshold of his home. Alucard was, thankfully, too preoccupied minding what her colleagues were doing. Charles and Bennie had finally got up from the step of the porch and were preparing to carry all the items in.
Vanessa had taken notice that all the items the men had purchased were for infants. It worried her some admittedly. Were these men gay? Were they planning to adopt? She wasn't too welcoming when it came to same sex marriage. It felt...unnatural, like it just shouldn't be. But what really bothered her was that these two creepy blokes were going to be responsible with a child. What the hell would growing up with these men being his/her parents be like? How messed up will that kid turn out? She could only see a delinquent in the making. Great! Another pompous punk in the world and all thanks to these two dipshits.
"Are you planning to adopt?" Vanessa asked outright as she glanced over her shoulder at Sebastian. The man glanced up from the list to look at her in what appeared to be bewilderment from asking such a personal question. But then a smirk spread across his lips and he chuckled in amusement. She could see the delight dancing in his eyes. It was clear he was somewhat eager to tell her the full truth. Vanessa felt greatly unsettled by that look. She almost regrets asking. Why did it feel like he knew what she was thinking, like he knew exactly who she was or, more accurately, the type of person she was? She felt so...exposed to him. Alucard barely shifted to make room for her colleagues as they carried a large box into their home. The men struggled, but the elder vampire didn't offer them any assistance. He just watched, looking quite entertained with that sick grin on his face.
"No, our wife is having twins." Sebastian told the human outright. As expected, Vanessa's mouth fell open and she gazed up at him like she didn't believe a word of it.
"Our...Your...You..." These were the only words the human was capable of saying as she looked between him and Alucard.
"Yes, our wife." Sebastian agreed with a snicker. "Is there a problem?"
"She looks like she's about to be sick." Alucard noticed as he leaned back against his manor. He folded his arms over his chest and didn't pay any mind to the delivery men as they exited out the front door to get more items.
"Would you like a glass of water?" The demon teased while the smirk on his face widened.
"No," Vanessa murmured with a very light shake of her head.
"Are you sure?" The demon asked as he walked towards the front door, acting like he would be ready to fetch it for her. But instead, he walked right over to Alucard. To freak the human out a little more, Sebastian wrapped his arms around Alucard's neck. Without hesitation, the vampire securely wrapped his arm around the demon's lower back to crush his body against his. "Doesn't she look a little peaked, darling?" On cue, Vanessa's eyes practically bulged out of her head.
"That she does." Alucard purred as he casually slid his hand down to grab Sebastian by the ass. Then, quite roughly, the vampire fisted the demon's hair and pulled him into a heated kiss.
And you call me a boor, Michaelis. You're such a hypocrite. Alucard purred.
Shut up, Alucard. You love it. The demon responded before shoving his tongue between the vampire's lips. Their heated kiss deepened, and they made sure the smallminded human saw it too. Their tongues tangled together in a hot, wet dance. Uncomfortable, she cleared her throat and slowly set the clipboard down on the porch.
"Just sign on the bottom line. I'm going...I'm going to go...help." She made up an excuse to get away from them as quickly as possible. This gave both Alucard and Sebastian a good laugh. Their lips parted to chuckle at the repulsed human. If only Seras could be involved in this little game. It was so tempting to summon her just to further fuck with the humans. "Why do we always get the freaks on our shifts?" Vanessa complained in a hush voice to her two colleagues, but Alucard and Sebastian heard it so clearly. Glancing over his shoulder, the demon watched the three humans in mild interest.
"Forget about them. Just help us so we can get the hell out of here." Charles scoffed as he and Bennie worked to carry in another item.
"So...they're married to a girl...but...are they also married? Or...is it just sexual?" The kid asked while he stared at Alucard and Sebastian openly.
"Who the hell cares?!" Charles exclaimed in frustration. "They're freaky, we get it, we know! Let's just get this damn job done already!"
"It's just weird." Bennie responded with a shrug.
"It's unnatural is what it is." Vanessa corrected him with a sour look on her face.
"This thing is fucking heavy! Can you two just focus for a minute and help me carry this damn thing in?! Jeez!" Charles raised his voice.
"Sorry," Bennie murmured as he got a better hold of the large box. He and Charles carried it up to the manor and through the door. Vanessa, surprisingly, started grabbing for a rather large box to carry all by herself. It was a box one person could carry alone, but the size and weight looked too much for her. But she proved Alucard and Sebastian wrong as she carried it as if it was nothing. Perhaps she chose the right profession, though she could work on her people skills. Pulling out of Alucard's arms, the demon walked over to pick the clipboard up off of the porch. He once more looked over the list to be absolutely sure that everything they ordered was there. But he didn't sign immediately. He needed to be confident first that everything was present. So, as the humans carried the boxes in, he mentally checked them off of the list one by one. When every package was secure in the foyer, he finally signed his name and returned the clipboard to Vanessa. The delivery people stood uncomfortably in the foyer in front of the two monsters. Bennie looked around, looking purely amazed while Charles gave the impression that he absolutely hated his life and job.
"Thank you," The demon purred. The woman still had a difficult time looking at him, but he didn't care. She quickly scanned over the order and made sure he had signed his name. Afterwards, she flipped back the first page and ripped the receipt from the stack of papers on her clipboard. But immediately, she jerked her hand back.
"Shit!" Vanessa hissed before she sucked her bleeding finger into her mouth.
"Paper cut?" Sebastian questioned as he watched the frustrated human try to maneuver her clipboard into her other arm as she kept her finger in her mouth.
"Yeah," She mumbled and tried handing off his receipt with her free hand. The demon reached into his pocket, going for his handkerchief, but he stopped midway. The hairs on the back of Alucard and Sebastian's necks stood up. Immediately, their instincts kicked in and they sensed danger in the air. Their eyes widened when their hearing picked up on their mate's heartbeat. The elder vampire and demon looked at each other in bafflement. The last time they experienced this was when Seras was a starving fledgling. Before either of them could do anything, the Draculina was suddenly on top of Vanessa. The human screamed when she was tackled to the floor by a small, but pregnant monster. The beast's eyes glow a dark red and her lengthened fangs snapped inches from her face. Seras struggled to bury her teeth into the human's throat and taste the hot blood that pumped through the woman's veins. But she wasn't able to. With the woman keeping her at an arm's length and her belly stopping her from being able to reach her, it was an impossible task for the No Life Queen, and it was purely infuriating. This only made her try harder though.
"Holy shit!" Charles exclaimed when the small blonde came out of nowhere and just attacked his colleague. The male didn't hesitate to come to the rescue. He bolted down to try and grab Seras by the shoulders, but he was instantly pushed away by Alucard.
"Don't touch her!" The No Life King snarled and bared his fangs to intimidate the human. Seeing the man reach for his bride and unborn children had activated a completely new feeling for Alucard; one that was made up of rage and pure fear. He would kill anyone who dared come near his pregnant mate. Forcefully, the elder vampire shoved the human male hard, knocking him right onto his ass. "Touch her again and I'll kill you." Alucard warned him.
"Get her off of me!" Vanessa screamed as she cried hysterically.
"Oh, shit! Oh, shit!" Bennie panicked as he fidgeted in his spot. He was completely clueless. What the hell was he supposed to do?! He fisted his hair as he stared down in pure terror at the two struggling women. He could see the monster on top of Vanessa, but he still couldn't believe it. What was happening in this fucking hell hole?! Desperate to get that blood, Seras' nails lengthened and she tried clawing at the woman, but was immediately stopped by her mates. Alucard and Sebastian both grabbed an arm and pulled the bloodthirsty monster off of the human. The second they got her onto her feet, Seras tried for a second time to lunge at the defenseless woman. The demon swiftly grabbed his mate by her wrists, pulled her back against his body, and spun her around so she faced away from that tempting walking blood bag.
"Seras, darling." Sebastian whispered soothingly as she struggled in his arms. She bared her teeth with ferocious snarls. She even tried clawing at his hands to try and escape, but he wouldn't release her. "It's okay." He proceeded to try and talk her down.
"What the fuck is going on?!" Vanessa asked in a panic. The human hyperventilated as she climbed to her feet, but her legs wouldn't stop shaking. Tears ran down her face while she stared in horror at the creature he tried holding back. Bennie was still lost in a deep state of fear. He kept mumbling incoherently under his breath while his trembling hand stayed fisted in his red hair. Charles, after being thrown to the floor by Alucard, was having a difficult time getting back up. His hip had been acting up all damn day and being knocked to the ground certainly didn't help it. Infuriated, Sebastian glanced over his shoulder. Feeling very territorial and protective, his dark red eyes burned hellishly as he glowered at the bothersome humans.
"Leave!" He snarled at them and then he brought all of his attention back onto his frantic mate. He was scared to hurt her, but the more she fought, the tighter his grip became. "Alucard, escort the humans out. Do what you have to, erase their memories. I don't particularly believe they deserve a bonus for their behavior, but our mate did attack one of them. I'll leave the tip up to you. Just get them out of here so I can calm Seras down."
"What the fuck is wrong with her?! What is wrong with you?!" Vanessa screamed as Alucard attempted to usher the humans outside. Grabbing Charles by the collar of his shirt, the No Life King lifted him with ease and set him on his feet. But instead of letting go of his collar, he dragged him by it while he wrapped an arm around the female's stomach and pulled her out. "Don't you fucking touch me!" The human hollered and started hitting Alucard, though it didn't do any good. Seras bared her teeth with another vicious snarl when the woman "threatened" her mate. The demon was bewildered when the little vampire dislocated her shoulder just to break free from him. Shocked that she would go so far, he thoughtlessly let go. Of course, Seras went straight for Vanessa again, but didn't get far. Sebastian wrapped his arms around her tightly and crushed her to his body.
"Seras, stop!" He said in a demanding tone. "Enough!" Alucard finally managed to get the panicking humans out of the manor and closed the door behind him to block Seras' line of sight. Sebastian carefully pulled Seras to the floor, keeping her locked in his tight embrace as she acted purely like a beast. Her claws were biting deep into his stomach as she tried to push him off. Her sharp teeth were gritted as she glowered over her shoulder at the door. "Seras," Sebastian whispered in a soothing voice. "It's okay." He gazed upon her in disappointment. Just seeing this animal she had become after smelling a few drops of human blood, it was...sad. What had caused her to act like this? Why now after so long of doing so well and keeping to her blood bags? Even though how much he would have loved seeing his mate tear into those humans, it wouldn't have been satisfying or helpful. First, this wasn't his Seras; she would never do this. Second, others knew that delivery people were coming here to this manor. If they turned up missing, other humans and police would come searching here. They didn't need humans learning of what they were. It would be just their luck to be freed from Hellsing only to be captured by other hunters. And if that happened, there was no way in hell those hunters would allow Seras to bring their children into this world. The hunters would abort their children, or worse, they would kill their mate and children. Letting go of those fears because he knew Alucard was tending to it, Sebastian focused solely on Seras. He cupped her face into his hands and turned it so she looked up at him. The beast, tired from exertion, sat there and breathed heavily. There was such an unfamiliar look in hers eyes; a look of hate and hunger. The demon frowned as he brushed his thumbs along her cheekbones.
"Seras," He whispered her name. "It's alright now. They're gone. Just breathe and let your demon subside." Her claws trembled in his stomach. He was unsure if she was internally fighting her demon for dominance or if she would go through another fit. "I love you, darling." Sebastian whispered before he leaned in to kiss her forehead. "Calm down now. Come back to me." A snarl broke past Seras' lips before she slashed her claws down the side of his face in one swift motion.
End of Chapter Seventeen
Yeah, I know. Seras went a little Jasper, like in Twilight. I didn't want Vanessa getting too hurt, but I couldn't think of anything other than a stupid paper cut. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed. I'll be posting "Darling Daughter" next Friday (October 1st).
