A text message came to Nick's phone.

"Baby wants egg rolls from the Jade Dragon."

Just as Nick was getting ready to reply, another message popped up.

"Oh, and please get extra duck sauce and fortune cookies."

After sending a heart emoji to his wife, Nick called her favorite Chinese restaurant and ordered portions of everything they had. Plus a dozen egg rolls.

There was no fear of it being too much, considering Adalind was experiencing the severe hunger and constant craving part of her pregnancy and Trubel was staying with them while she recovered from injuries she sustained on an assignment.

Entering his home with his arms full of the takeout order might have been difficult if he had any other family.

However, with his family, the moment he got close to the door, it glided open.

He greeted his wife with a kiss then proceeded to lay everything out.

Adalind's third pregnancy often caused her to want to eat whatever food she saw, so Nick knew she would want a bite of everything he had gotten.

After they were done with their delicious meal, the family spent some time playing and talking together.

About an hour later, Adalind said, "Nick, you didn't eat your fortune cookie." and used her powers to float one right to his hand.

"I thought I would let someone else have mine."

"You should at least open yours and see what it says."

Nick grew very suspicious of his wife's insistence that he read his fortune. So he wasn't surprised at all when he opened the treat and looked at the paper to find many more words than normal.

"You should get your wife a large slice of peach pie with two scoops of ice cream on the side. One vanilla and one peach." Nick gave Adalind a pointed look when words were suddenly added while he was reading the paper. "And pour strawberry sauce over all of it."

"Sounds like very wise words to me." Adalind feigned innocence.

"Uh Huh. So do you want it all in one dish or separate dishes?"

"One dish, please. Oh, and could you also bring me the potato chips?"

"Which flavor?"

"Salt and vinegar. Thank you."

With a chuckle, Nick went to the kitchen and prepared his wife's snack.

"Now that's too weird, even for me." Trubel commented as she watched Adalind scoop strawberry sauce up with a chip."

"It is so good." Adalind moaned. Then an idea came to her and she called, "Nick, could you?"

Nick seemed to know exactly what his wife needed because he was at that moment walking in with some paper napkins and the jar of pickles.

"I love you." She spoke with glee as she reached out for the snack.

"Why do I believe she was talking to the pickles?"

"Ha ha, very funny." Adalind deadpanned as she dipped a pickle spear into the ice cream.

Grimm

With Adalind's constant cravings, Kelly tended to prefer hanging around his mommy. The child always sensed when Adalind was getting a snack and would rush to her side. Nick often returned home to see his wife and his son munching together on something.

"Looks like you're both going to need a bath." Nick chuckled one evening, finding his wife and his son with chocolate and strawberry sauce drippings on their faces and shirts.

"They made chocolate and strawberry sundaes, then ate them with potato chips." Diana informed Nick. "So now we're all out."

"No problem, I'll just head to the store and get some. And I'll pick up dinner too." Nick offered. "Any requests?"

"Ooh, I would love some fried chicken, with mashed potatoes and gravy. Extra gravy, please. And baked beans." Adalind exclaimed.

"Mmmm, chicken!" Kelly's shout showed he obviously agreed with his mommy."

"Anybody want to come with me?"

"I'll go with you, dad." Diana said.

"What about you, Kelly, do you want to go shopping with me and your big sis?"

Kelly looked at his dad, then his mom, and proceeded to wrap his arms around her. "I stay with mommy."

"Figures. He takes after me in so many ways. We both love spending time with you." Nick chuckled as he bent to give Adalind a kiss, then headed back out to pick up food.

"Krispy Kreme has strawberry donuts for the blood moon." Nick observed out loud as he looked at the notifications on his phone.

He always made sure to get any notification about unique treats coming up ever since Adalind showed an interest in such things.

And with her being pregnant, there was no doubt her cravings would insist she sink her teeth into the sweet treats.

"You better call ahead and reserve about four dozen." Hank warned his partner with a chuckle.

When Nick arrived home carrying boxes with the Krispy Kreme logo, Adalind's face lit up with a bright smile. He was impressed at the strength of her hug when he put down the boxes to give his full attention to her greeting.

"Are you aware that you're the best husband in the world?"

"I always love hearing you tell me. It means a lot coming from the best wife in the world."

""Alright you two." Trubel interrupted. "No out sweetening the donuts." Then helped herself to a strawberry flavored treat.

Adalind, as well as the rest of the family, did the same.

When Nick noticed they were getting low, he asked Adalind with a cheeky and knowing grin,

"So, are you going to save one to set out for the goddess?"

"The goddess will understand. She knows the baby needs it more." Adalind insisted, not bothering to look at Nick, or even open her eyes as she enjoyed her treat.

Grimm

Nick heard a crash coming from the kitchen and walked in to find his pregnant wife on the floor sobbing with a broken jar of jam in front of her.

Nick rushed to her side. "Addie, what's wrong? Are you hurt?"

"No. I'm fat and ugly and too clumsy to even get something to eat."

Nick held her close and buried his face in her hair to hide his grin. He knew to be careful of hormones. So not wanting to upset his wife further, comforted her and hid his amusement at her predicament. No doubt she would have blamed him for getting her into the situation to begin with.

Once he got Adalind and the floor cleaned up, Nick carried his wife to the couch and offered to make her the snack she wanted.

"Is there any more strawberry jam left?" She asked with tears in her eyes.

"There's four jars in the cupboard. I know because I bought them and put them in there yesterday." He assured her with a gentle smile and stroking her face.

Adalind wanted a sandwich with almond butter and strawberry jam. It was a very specific craving she was having.

Nick made her the sandwich, and got her a glass of milk to wash it down. She smiled at him gratefully.

"I'm sorry I'm being so difficult. I must be driving you crazy. Eating so much all of the time."

"Adalind, you've been driving me crazy since the day I saw you walking out of that coffee shop. Trust me, these food cravings of yours are almost boring in comparison."

"So I'm not repulsing you?"

"Of course not. It's not possible for anyone to love another as much as I love you. And you are creating an actual human being. Nothing I could ever say or do will compete with that. And short of murder, there's nothing you can say or do that will make me be upset with you."

He was relieved to see her laugh at that comment. And when she kissed him, he chuckled to himself when he tasted strawberries.
