Hello people!
Now, I have a review stating that Percy appears to be very arrogant… well I can't deny that… but if you want to know the reason behind it… reread Chapter 5… and you will automatically understand why I am doing what I am doing.
Look, I am not against people for having a set perception about Percy, I am just writing what I thinks fits with the storyline. Hey! Cut me some slack, it's my first story.
Also, I have signed up on AO3, should you have problems accessing this same fanfic here, it is updated there too under the same name. Just it will take a while before I understand how to edit and upload stuff there too.
As you are aware it is Shinju, this here is my first fanfic aptly named Perseus: God of War!
The franchises Percy Jackson and God of War are owned by Rick Riordan and David Jaffe.
Any Greek/Latin words and phrases used are through Google Translate (Greek/Latin)
I don't beat around the bush so let start with the story:
General POV
Location: Humanitera
Time: 1100 Hrs.
"It is coming along nicely…" thought Percy, as he gazed out the window from the 15th story of the partially unconstructed building. Civilians going about their day. School children on the street. Vendors of small businesses setting up their shops. Humanitera was in the process of construction, and was now on the 15th of the total 40-story building. The recent developments from the company had been phenomenal.
Recently, Julia alongside Emilia, a daughter of Hecate had recruited a few extra satyrs from the camp who had gotten bored just chasing nymphs, to talk with major companies and life foundations to implement the latest filters, in major dumping lines of sewage.
Some partners, who happened to be legacies, even clear-sighted mortals had a hard time believing that Percy Jackson of all beings was overseeing such an operation. Some even had an opinion, on how Percy was affecting the flow of world history, yes in some cases that was true but as it was just making the world better.
On the other hand, there were obstacles, that were giving him a migraine by just existing. These guys, were so corrupt to the core that you couldn't get anything done. On the off chance that you did, you would be stopped by these guys, time and again. That's where The Mist came in.
The Mist was a very useful tool, not just because it helped mortals agree with the terms of said contracts. It helped hide the satyr's furry legs, or their potential partners would have had a heart-attack knowing that Humanitera's employees had such unique appearances.
Now, all of this may seem illegal, but Malcolm's spy network had done good work infiltrating them. And the dirt… uh information they had unearthed was just kept as a fail-safe. Jay, a Son of Hermes, had been the one to suggest that…because the company didn't know when they might need it.
Finding…rather informing newer demigods had been put on hold. Satyrs still were told to guide them to camp, but Humanitera's presence had been left out. Humanitera still kept files on them, just didn't inform them because of certain conditions. One, if Zeus found out that newer demigods had been found and recruited by Humanitera, he may feel like they were building an army. Which they were… but only Percy, Malcolm and Clarisse, were privy of such information. Already existing demigods, were most likely left out since they were assumed to be loyal to Olympus.
Surprisingly, demigods within the Camps had not been informed by the Gods about Humanitera's presence and Ares's War against the Olympians. Probably, not to cause panic and potential deserters or more demigods that could be added to Humanitera's ranks. Even demigods within Humanitera had kept that a secret to their legion and cabins in New Rome and Camp Half-blood.
Hestia had been a regular visitor since her last talk with Percy and Clarisse… she was taking up her role of monitoring them well. It had been a long discussion since Percy didn't want godly interference and the council had been pushing for some level of control on Percy. In the end he agreed, provided that the council didn't attack him first and that Hestia be the only one that was invited.
Zeus, had grumbled so much so that it had rained in the camps, a Satyr informed them. The Gods too were not happy, but they did not have a way, besides agreeing to Percy's terms.
Hestia had been quite fascinated what she saw in the headquarters of Humanitera. A perfect blend of mortal and immortal coming together.
Back to the products, the filter had taken some time but it had been worth it, the investment was worth it. The basic principle of the filter was that one basic solid sludge was removed it could then be treated with an application of controlled Greek fire and some rather nasty chemicals. But it was a risky process, seeing as sludge was flammable. Percy didn't want to be blasted through the wall of one of the Environmental Testing Lab once again. Boy, was that an unpleasant experience.
"Hey, Sweety…" said Clarisse walking in.
"Hey, my sweet war-girl."
As she was about to kiss him… Percy took her hands and slammed her in the wall, Clarisse looked shocked, "Why are you doing this, Love?"
"Who are you?"
"What are you taking about? It's me, your girlfriend! Clarisse."
"Ha-ha! Good One…see there's a problem with that. Clarisse, my girlfriend is quite odd, she doesn't outright show love… after all she is the daughter of War. She rarely calls me by first name, much less by words depicting and expressing love. She normally calls me Jackson. So, I ask again, who are you?"
The woman, sighed and smiled, a seductive smile… "Ah! Sweety, you haven't lost your senses and here I thought a little bit of charm speak could do wonders."
As she said that she changed into woman with blonde hair who was dressed in a beautiful white gossamer dress, with a delicate golden crown on her head, had hung gold earrings in her ears, and draped a gold necklace at the base of her throat.
"Don't you remember me, sweety?"
"Aphrodite…"
Location: Tartarus's Palace
"Ngh…" am empousa moaned under Ares.
"Ahh…" released Ares.
"Are you done?"
Ares turned and the saw the Man in Black, Tartarus. His Master staring at him impassively. Geez, a guy can't even get some before being interrupted.
"Uh… Greetings Master. How are you this very fine uh…"
"Day…" Tartarus said, knowing the fool didn't have any idea of time in Tartarus.
"Yes, Master."
"So…"
"Uh…"
"You idiot, get changed and meet me in my throne room…" with that said The Lord of The Pit turned and silently walked off in the direction of said room.
Ares, got up from his bed and clicked his fingers. His patent armour and Greek Loin cloth appearing over his bulky body. A helmet with a boar tusk on each side appeared in his hand which he subsequently placed on his head.
He turned around and walked in the same direction. As he was walking, he thought back on the conversation he had with the Olympians prior and recounting his enemies.
Tartarus, promised him revenge and war, two things he so desperately craved. But this time, he wouldn't fail and definitely wouldn't underestimate Perseus Jackson.
He wanted to go and gut him. End of story right there, but he wasn't so far in the deep that he would lose sight of his goal. And Tartarus wouldn't like that. He knew that The Pit was also very hateful of his enemy. He would also want Jackson to suffer. If Perseus didn't, he (Ares) would. He shuddered. Being thrown in the Pit was one thing, to be tortured by Tartarus personally was another thing entirely.
Zeus.
His father. That was a complicated topic, not because of relation or loyalty. But because of the idleness that would come after that. He could torture him. Cut him into pieces like Gramps and may be start a trend…. Nah he didn't want that. Afterall, he didn't want Eros to do the same to him. The problem was should he achieve this what would he do after that. Rule the world. Yes. Wage Wars. Hell Yes! Fuck Women? Fuck Yes! But what after that! Immortality, made everything dull in a sense and without mortals he would not exist since they caused war, he existed. It was a vicious cycle Mortals were needed to create war and more mortals. War destroyed mortals. He needed the right amount of war. All this made his head hurt. As he reached the throne room, Tartarus gave him the same blank stare.
"You took your own sweet time…"
"Apologies, Lord Tartarus…"
"Keep those to yourself. Now, let's gets down to business. What do you see?"
"A map of Athens."
"Good, attack it…"
"What?"
"Attack it."
"So, no elaborate plan… plot, nothing?"
"This will be the precursor to the war…Athens symbolizes Athena…you want to her. Prove to me that you are the capable general you say you are. By doing this we send a message that we are not fooling around and are willing to take out big players."
"But My Lord…the Ancient Laws. Gods are…"
"Gods are not allowed to attack and wage war on each other. Yeah, I know that."
"Then…"
"Send some minions…"
Location: Camp Half-blood
Time: Same as Above
Chiron looked over the demigods training. Some young…some old…well as old as you could expect. Most didn't survive the wars. Those who did, weren't the same after. It had changed them and him. He had seen slaughtered demigods each time, during wars and rebellions of global history. The innocent children he had come to care for over the course of his rather long life. Demigods not old enough to be trained running around from the big house to their cabins. As he saw the innocence in them, he thought back to the conversation that had taken place among him, Hermes and the councillors of Camp Half-Blood.
Flashback
Hermes appeared at the door of the Big House. His face depicting his seriousness. He was thinking how to break the news to the residents of the camp. One mistake and there would be chaos and panic. He already knew that Dionysus was inside and had sensed his arrival. Thank Grandma Rhea! D, wasn't the one the one ordered to break the news…or it would have caused the Apocalypse.
He knocked. Chiron opened the door.
"Lord Hermes. What brings you here? A delivery." He inclined his head in respect.
"I wish old friend, but no… I… I bring graver news. Please assemble the councillors and D don't leave. As much as I, you and the Campers would want that, this requires your presence. Stay seated."
D, of course grumbled but eventually sat back in his seat. Knowing that what his half-brother said was indeed true.
One by one, the councillors trickled in. Some like, Katie that were experienced or like Sherman, son of Ares who were relatively new and had replaced Clarisse to take her spot as the Head Councillor for the Cabin of War.
"Pops…what brings you here?" asked Connor Stoll.
"Grave news son, grave news." Hermes replied solemnly.
Hearing this the younger Stoll became serious, a rare emotion on his usually happy face. Alongside him others, opted the same.
"I bring news… from Olympus."
"Father?"
"Ares…has escaped."
"WHAT?" Everyone shouted, but none more than the Sherman and why wouldn't he, if this was true and was not handled properly, there would be one less cabin in camp.
"What…how…how did he escape?" asked Katie.
"As far as we know someone is backing him. And he brings War to Olympus."
Thud. And down went a child of Apollo.
"A third war…is that what this is? You are telling us that we are jumping headfirst into a third war… in Olympus's name." shouted Raymond, a Son of Athena, who had taken up Malcolm's place as head councillor for the cabin.
"Child…" tried Chiron.
"No! I have respected the gods, fought for them, bled for them, killed for them and many of us not here today have died for them. Respect… it's not the time for useless things as respect. If what he is saying is true…" said Raymond, pointing at Hermes, "… we may might as well walk up to Ares, turn around and bend over. I am the son of Athena, this signifies that we have better control over our emotions than most, but this…this is anarchy!"
Everybody even Chiron, himself looked pensive… they had not expected to take the brunt of one of Athena's verbal beat downs.
"Child…"
"No, Chiron. He is right. Yes, my godly status demands consequences… but I also see the state he and everyone are in."
That was another shock, Raymond had expected being turned into an owl among things…but an admission of truth and guilt was not one of those.
"As much as I and believe it or not the rest don't want another war, Ares and his secret helper are here and they will not stop. Ares has even made special plans for Athena, his uh…grander plans." Raymond, growled.
"As you stated earlier, this is anarchy, Camp Jupiter too is in anarchy, that's why we have called for help…"
"Who?"
"Peter Johnson" answered Mr. D.
It took a few moments for the campers and Chiron to understand who was being mentioned here. Chiron looked excited and relieved.
"He agreed?" asked Leo.
"We don't know…" and just like that Chiron lost his enthusiasm.
"What do you mean, Uncle?" asked repair boy, impatiently. He had been waiting the return of his friend, Aquaman.
"…currently Hestia and Artemis are in pursuit of him. He has been busy… which is unlike him." And the Messenger had delivered a wrong message.
"Busy doing what…"
"That's my cue D, you handle it." And Hermes was gone in a flash. Dionysus, turned to look at Leo.
"Fuck you, Hermes!"
Flashback End
Chiron thought it was funny. Dionysus, was constantly irritated by Leo, like a bar owner, asking for the tab to be cleared.
But he was also proud of how Percy was shaping up a company for his fellow demigods and friends. But it was a dangerous game. If Zeus found out, it would be disastrous. A demigod like Percy, had the potential to destroy…annihilate Olympus. For Zeus's sake he faded a god. Zeus was as paranoid as their father if not more so.
He hoped all would be better and continued supervising the camp.
Location: Piraeus, Sea Port in Athens.
Time: 1100 Hrs.
Piraeus was the largest port in Greece with sailings every day to the most popular island groups including the Cyclades, Dodecanese, Saronic, Ionian, and North Aegean islands, and Crete. The port happened to be a hub for the leading ferry companies operating in the Aegean including Anek Lines, Hellenic Seaways, Blue Star Ferries, Sea jets and Minoan Lines. A port since the fifth century BC, much of Piraeus has been of archaeological interest. There is plenty to occupy tourists while they were waiting for their connection including the Archaeological Museum and the Bay of Zea, are relaxed spots with waterfront tavernas and an attractive marina.
Acropolis, the ancient Greek structure a mere 11- minute drive away from this port. The landmark of the competition between Poseidon and Athena. The once former fortress signifying the might of Athens now a beautiful symbol to the capital city of Greece.
But in the docks, silently moving through them were monsters and soldiers of Tartarus, disguised by the mist as a parade, but in truth dressed in dark red, almost maroon loins cloths and bronze armours, they moved.
"You all know your orders. Follow them and cause havoc as much as possible."
Athena's Temple disguised as an office, priests and priestesses moving about doing their respective duties. The occasional children and legacies of Athena and Minerva moving and paying their respects to their sire… thoughtful sire.
A foot soldier moved among the populace and stopped at the ticket counter of the temple.
"Good day to you sir. What would you like to see today? We have tours scheduled for in and around the port, the Museum and the fortress of Acropolis. So how many are there?" said the priest in a heavily accented English, who was disguised as a ticket clerk.
"A hundred, I suppose." Quipped the soldier.
"Wha…" and his throat was slit.
A boom went at the back of the office, courtesy to a Greek fire grenade.
"First blood of the Third War. In the name of Ares!" Shouted the soldier. Shouts of agreement burst from the fearsome unit.
"Charge!"
"AHH!"
"Help!"
The demigods, not aware of the threat of war and the escape of Ares were caught of guard and were on the verge of annihilation.
"They are here…it's an attack. Its…" Slash! The warning was cut off by a sledge hammer cracking the spawn of Athena's skull open.
The rest were cornered and were in the main crypt / head office of the 2two storey building.
"… contact Mother. Inform her. Send an Iris message to the Camps." Ordered Nestor, a son of Athena.
"…on it."
A minute later, an Iris message screen popped up…connecting.
…
…
Connection Lost. Again.
…
…
Connection Lost. Again.
…
…
Connection Lost.
"Fuck."
"What happened?" asked Nestor.
"It isn't working. They are most likely blocking it. What should we do, Leader?"
"You two, get to the secret exit. Evacuate the port. Engage the final defences, if they get to Acropolis, Athens falls. And contact Humanitera! Now!"
He and all those under him were lucky that Humanitera had been coming up to the global stage, to have enough company presence for people to be at least aware of its existence. And former campers had come to find out about it. Percy Jackson, was a person who would help them.
They had been contacted by Malcolm and were one of the many groups of demigods scattered across the Western Hemisphere. What… they, these groups existed. The Camps weren't the only place in the world with demigod clusters. They too had protection of The Mist. Camps just happened to be the largest and common ground for all demigods. The Gods naturally would favour their own spawns than any other. Hermes, would likely take in all… Monster attacks, Thalia's Tree and the Half-Blood Hill gave rise for the need of a singular camp, that would be then come to be known as Camp Half-Blood.
Ring!
Ring!
"It's an Iris Message…"
"From Whom?"
"Olympus…"
"Then pick it up! We need all the help we can get…see to it that they are briefed and get the Gods to respond to the threat."
"Yes Sir!" with that the subordinate turned to… Annabeth.
Location: Athenian Library, Olympus
Annabeth had been walking around Olympus, reading about Greek Architecture and its impact on the Modern World, from her mother's library. It was a book she had all the knowledge of, but reading it brought peace to her.
She always wondered what life would have been as a mortal. As a god it got quite boring and made her almost lazy, which was so unlike her.
The last few years had been not been well…problematic but still troublesome. Her spat with Aphrodite was still going on. She knew that Aphrodite was still sore about her relationship with Percy. But she herself, was a constant heartbreaker. For Zeus's Sake the cabin of Love had practiced heart-breaking as a tradition, before Piper intervened.
Percy.
It was always him. She was not jealous but it was complicated. On one hand she couldn't care less for him but on the other his absence caused a void to form in her heart.
She normally would just ignore her confused feelings and bury them since nothing seemed to work. Minor Gods hated her. Apollo hated her for Julian's Heartbreak. The rest of the Seven seemed to ignore her. Rachel seemed almost vengeful in regards to Percy.
She may have even adopted her mother's oath…but somewhere deep down she hoped for that relationship with her Seaweed Brain.
She had come to find out that Percy Jackson had started to form a company of his own.
Humanitera.
Her mother informed her.
Percy Jackson. Formal. Business.
Those words didn't seem to fit together. A few years ago, she would have laughed, if not for the fact that she herself had seen the promo and advertisements on boards and the New York Times for recruitment.
A company that secretly catered to demigods. Yes, she knew that too. A few freshers from universities with ADHD and Dyslexia were perfect for it. As a goddess it was apparent to her who these mortals were.
Ha! And how would that idiot solve the scent problem of demigods? If there was a mass of demigods anywhere, they would be attacked. Idiots! They needed a backer, a god!
Like Athena backed her temple in Athens.
Ah! Athens…Acropolis…Piraeus. The port was almost as important as Acropolis. The Standoff of Athena and Poseidon. She would usually Iris message the temple of her mother there. It was beautiful and had more of a natural look to it compared to the other two. Industrialization while beneficial had left no room for nature to reside.
She made up her mind.
"Iris…please connect me to Piraeus Port, Athens."
…
Connecting.
…
Connecting.
…
"It shouldn't take this long."
…
Connected.
"Hey... What the fuck?!"
"Anna… Lady Annabeth. Please help us!"
"What is going on?"
"We are getting attacked… I don't know who they are or whom they fight for but they wear red loins and have bronze armours."
"Red Loins…" her eyes widened.
"Give me your current status! Now!"
"Code Red!"
"They are pushing hard. The blockades may not stand if this continues!" A voice cried out over the other side.
"I'll inform mother!"
Crrk…Crrk!
"Your voice is not clear…"
Crrk…Crrk!
…
Connection Lost.
"Fuck!"
"I need to inform the council!" With that decided, she immediately ran to the council room not caring about the nymphs that greeted her at the entrance.
"Mother!" she burst in the council.
"What child…why do you interrupt this council?" asked Athena, surprised by her daughter's actions and haggard appearance.
"There has been an attack in your temple at Athens. The Iris is down. Its has been reported that the attackers are wearing red loins and bronze armors, monster and soldier like!"
"What…" stammered Athena.
"Ares…" muttered Apollo, yet was heard clearly. The Gods sat there as their eyes widened as realization struck them. As they did however, shouting began.
"Enough!" shouted Athena.
"This is my city; this is my children… you will not shout and scream while my temple is being desecrated. Father send out the army." She commanded.
"We can't…"
"Why the hell not?" shouted Annabeth. Zeus looked angry, but let it go for now.
"You…Grrh… because even if we could, instant mobilization is impossible…"
"So, what you are telling me…is that you knew about Ares's escape and instead of mobilizing the army as soon as possible, you sat on own asses and waited for the demigods to fight again!" The former demigoddess yelled, she had expected Ares, but the gods burying their heads in the grounds like ostriches was ridiculous. Probably Zeus's fault.
"The demigods would even fight…provided they have instant transportation across the sea instantly." said Hestia.
"Enough… if the army and the demigods are not competent enough…I will myself go there…"
"Yeah, cutting you off right there…get this in your owl-headed brain of yours and get off your high-horse, you can't directly attack, without a challenge and the Ancient Laws forbid you too. On the off chance you are allowed… we don't want you going in blind and having a repeat of the Atlas Fiasco." Said Poseidon.
Athena looked like she had swallowed a lemon but conceded to the logic. Barnacle Beard ma not be smarted than her but he had his moments.
"You need Percy…" muttered Hephaestus.
"Hell No! I would rather watch Athens fall as a dignified city than live as owed one…that too, to a Son of Poseidon!"
SMACK!
Artemis had got up and smacked here half- sister right across the face. Annabeth looked shocked.
"Get it through your prideful skull. The only demigod right now who can directly interfere and take them head on without consequence is Percy. The children of the Big Three have that power. I would have lent you Thalia and even the Hunters but the Laws only allow them fighting in Olympus's name. Hades's son can't because he is under his father. Jason Grace is a God. Hazel is in New Rome and immortally sworn in to the Legion. That leaves Percy. You can either accept his help and see your city and people live or let them fall and also lose a large chunk of the power of War. You may even lose your domain on the side of Greeks to Bellona." Artemis hated it, but playing on Athena's pride and need of the domain would keep her safe.
Athena sighed and nodded knowing what not accepting would entail.
"Fine, call in the vote." Said Hermes.
"We can't…," said Hades.
"Why…"
"The absence of Aphrodite…"
"Did she…"
"No, she did not betray Olympus… for now let's just concentrate on responding." Replied Hera and Hestia nodded.
"Let's just get it over with…" sighed Zeus.
After a unanimous vote…with some whining and muttering of troublesome demigods, courtesy to Dionysus it was decide that Peter Johnson would be contacted and asked for aid.
Location: Humanitera
"So, Aphrodite…what brings you to my humble abode?"
"Humble…" she smirked.
"This is anything but humble…you my child have made a company from the ground up. Having more than a force of 400 demigods, hundreds of nymphs and satyrs and even a few minor gods. Though I must say you are quite intelligent in taking into account that direct interference must not take place."
"I seem to have made the deal, where gods don't interfere in my life and that of mine, but I said nothing about giving explicit permission. But I am not the one answering questions…you are." Unsheathing Riptide and placing it at her throat.
"My, my such rough behaviour… what would Clarisse say…are you a sadist?" she joked.
"Let's forego this byplay, Goddess… I am not in the mood for games." The blade pressed harder to her throat.
"Fine… spoil the fun… you used to be such a good-natured boy before Annabeth." Percy's eyed glowed with power.
"You don't know but nearly all of Olympus has eyes on your progress. Afterall this is the sole independent faction not under Olympian Rule. I am here with a proposal… you help me and I will help you…I want you to destroy Ares…"
"I would want to…but you why?"
"Well, he has seen be nothing more than a cock-sleeve, he wasn't even there during the birth of Eros. He is also responsible for a couple of my children dying during his failed coup."
"Fair enough…what do I get?"
"You get power. You have killed Hercules, God of war. Ares will only reveal himself for you…not immediately but eventually. You need that power. Unlike Hercules… Ares was originally born of War. His hold is far stronger on the domain than any deity. Both him and Mars, far outshine Athena and Bellona."
…
"What…no reaction?"
"Why should I, Kronos offered me the same… Gaea did the same, and as you know they always had a hidden agenda."
"I will not try to prove myself… if you want to believe me, believe me… if not…go ahead."
"I…" he was interrupted.
Ring! Ring!
Ring! Ring!
Ring! Ring!
"Just a second…"
"Jackson?"
"Yes, who's speaking?"
"Its Nestor from Piraeus Port… we were contacted by Malcolm Pace, your subordinate…"
"Yes."
"We need your help…urgently. We don't have much time. We are being attacked by people and monsters in red cloths and bronze armours. Connections to camps and Olympus are being blocked off. We got Ann…a goddess to help. She is relaying the same news there too. The people attacking are not the same as normal monsters, they haven't been seen before, they are far stronger than normal foot soldiers of Olympian armies and the monsters look to be capable of human speech as well. They seem to have thought processes. They are far stronger than normal monsters. There is…Medusa as well."
"Sigh… I see what I can do. I'll… I'll be there."
…
The connection ended.
Percy turned to Aphrodite.
"You got yourself a deal."
A pink beam shot from Aphrodite's finger and she grinned. Charms peak can be a useful ability. Use it wisely. Unlike my children you would have to train, it will grow stronger with time.
With that said Aphrodite, vanished in a pink light. Percy sighed, why couldn't his life ever normal.
"You can come inside War Girl."
"How did you know, Jackson?"
"Water…I sense water. Water in your blood." He said with a grim tone. Blood Bending was still a sore subject for him.
"So, you are going?"
"Yes… it is expected of me. I am one of the apparent leaders of Humanitera. It was I who ordered Malcolm to find out about factions that catered to Greeks and Romans. If I don't… Humanitera's future would end before being started."
"What do you mean by one of the apparent leaders?"
"You will lead them beside me… I need someone to keep me line after all, I don't want to die because I got a big head."
"That's right. And I will come with you…you did not allow me last time… and don't deny it… I am not a weak wall flower that needs to be protected. I have fought two wars and lost my fair share of comrades along the way. Don't even argue regarding Ares's involvement and what fighting against him means." That shut Percy up. Finally, he replied.
"But just the two us... I don't want to cause panic among our employees. Pack your weapons. And please carry a barf bag… our journey across America will cause problems. I may have called Blackjack but I don't want a means for Camps to know about me now and I… er don't have donuts on hand."
"Is this the hulk jump…"
"Yes…" said Percy looking scared.
"Fine." Groaned Clarisse.
"Well, I will…" he was interrupted as Clarisse kissed him. He welcomed it and held on to her waist. As it ended Percy looked at Clarisse,
"Damn, War-girl… you almost make me not want to go to the battlefield."
"If this goes as intended you will have much more than a kiss."
Percy immediately nodded and they both ran to get their equipment.
10 minutes later.
"You ready, War-girl?"
"Damn Right!" Clarisse said holding on to Percy by his neck.
1… 2… 3!
BOOM! It boomed as Percy jumped.
That's the end of this chapter.
I hope you liked it.
Anyways…
Ares's inner monologue was somewhat confusing to me too…I want to portray him as a God somewhere between war-general and bloodthirsty but not on the extremes. I will see what I can do with that.
Piraeus, I searched that…and the information about it has been taken from the internet. Good Place. Look, God of War is set in the Ancient Greek World…I need to make it look as close to home as possible.
Athena's hubris still gets in her way… if she wants to survive then she better swallow her pride.
Aphrodite's agenda appears kind of weak… and I am somewhat used to the excuse of biggest betrayal by Annabeth. So, I had to find something concrete.
Anyways, sorry for the delay.
And thanks for your reviews!
Have a nice time reading!
Αντιο σας ! or Good Bye!
Shinju Out!
