What the hell is wrong with you, Snow?' Yelled David as soon as they walked through the front door of the loft. 'How could you say that about Henry? He's our grandson.'
Snow winced as the volume of her husband's voice made the headache she was suffering from worse. 'I wasn't thinking,' she admitted quietly as she moved to the freezer and pulled out some frozen peas.
She really hadn't been thinking, and she didn't understand why Emma seemed so protective of the woman who ruined all their lives, who she still believed would have killed her daughter if she had been given the chance.
David pinched the bridge of his nose before he walked over to his wife and took the bag of peas from her. 'Sit,' he said and then when she obeyed, he stuck them on the back of her head where a lump had formed from her being thrown into the wall.
He took a deep breath to calm his anger before he spoke again. 'You betrayed me,' he said, disappointed. 'You went behind my back and sent my daughter away and I don't know if I can forgive you for that.'
Snow looked up and him with tears in her eyes. 'It was the right thing to do, David. We needed someone to save the kingdom, and Emma was our only chance. She's a hero, and once we get back home, she will make a fine princess,' she smiled.
David's fingers clenched tightly around the bag of frozen peas as he tried to stop himself from slamming them repeatedly into his wife's head. 'No,' he growled. 'What we needed to do was to keep our family together. Why were the lives of people you hardly knew more important than our little girl?'
If he had known what Snow was going to do, he would have done everything in his power to stop her. 'She won't want to go back there, and she definitely won't want to be a princess. She's obviously made up her mind about who's side she is on, and frankly, I don't really blame her,' he sighed.
Snow rose from her chair as she turned on her husband. 'How can you say that?' she screeched, looking much like the bratty princess Regina had accused her of being. 'Of course, she isn't really on that monster's side. Regina has obviously done something to her, and we need to fix it.'
'Regina hasn't done anything to her. They're in love-.'
'They are not! Regina isn't capable of loving anyone but herself and Henry,' interrupted Snow shrilly. 'And all those things she said about my father were lies. He worshipped her and I can bet she's told nothing but lies to Emma too.'
It was obvious to her that Regina had Emma under some kind of spell because that's what the Evil Queen did, after all she had put her under a sleeping curse, and in absolutely no universe would a child of hers ever willingly fall in love with such a twisted evil monster.
David took his wife's hands in his own and looked deeply into her eyes. 'You know that's not true. Regina loved Daniel, and she loved you once upon a time as well.'
Snow shook her head as tears fell silently down her cheeks. Regina never loved her. She never wanted to be her mother, but Snow had loved her so much and she destroyed it, all because of a mistake she made when she was ten. She went to open her mouth, but David continued talking.
'You saw how Emma defended her against Graham the night we went out. You saw them in the station after that, and you've just seen them together now, too. The way they look at each other and comfort one another, it's the exact same way we used to be when we first fell in love. They broke the curse Snow, they share true love and there's nothing we can do about it,' he said firmly.
Snow ripped her hands out if her husband's grasp. She wouldn't allow it; she wouldn't let the Evil Queen destroy her family again and she certainly wouldn't let her take away her daughter. If they didn't deserve Emma, then neither did Regina.
She was the rightful Queen, and she had the power to put an end to this farce but she wouldn't be able to do it alone and she knew David wouldn't help her, but she was pretty sure she knew who would.
'I need to be alone,' she said to her husband as she moved towards the door. 'I need to figure all this out. I'm going for a walk.'
David sighed as he took a seat at the table. 'Don't go back there, Snow, if you do, and Emma lashes out again. I won't be there to help you. Give her the time she needs to calm down,' he replied tiredly.
Snow nodded. 'I won't, I just need to think,' she said before she opened the door and left the loft. She didn't stop walking until she had reached her destination. She took a deep breath, hoping that what she was about to do would work before she pushed open the door and made her way inside
Over at the mansion, Regina, Emma, and Henry were still sitting in the den. Not much had been said since the Charming's left, but Henry had a few questions.
'Mom?' he questioned hesitantly as he looked over to where she was sitting with Emma, leaning her head on her shoulder.
Regina smiled at him encouragingly. 'Yes sweetheart?' she could tell her son wanted to say something important, and she steeled herself for the questions about her marriage to the king. She had said far too much in front of him earlier, but she couldn't take it back now, so all she could do was be truthful.
Henry hesitated again as he studied his moms. Emma had her eyes closed, but he knew she wasn't asleep because he could see her hand rubbing circles on his mom's knee, and before he spoke, he had seen his mom whisper something in her ear that made her grin.
'Are you and Emma dating?' He blurted before he cringed as he saw Emma's eyes spring open in shock and his mom's face turn a deep shade of red.
Emma didn't say anything, but moved to sit up straighter. She would let Regina handle this one, though she wasn't sure what they'd do if their son wasn't happy about them being together. She was aware that Henry always came first, and she knew that not having his approval would cause problems.
Regina cleared her throat as she thought of what to say. She didn't want to lie to her son, and she was sure he had probably noticed how different things had been between her and Emma today. They had done well to hide it in the past, but today with everything that had happened, well, they hadn't been careful at all.
She took a quick glance at Emma and she could see the panic and fear in her eyes. 'She's scared he's going to reject us,' she thought to herself.
'Would that be a problem for you?' She asked her son carefully as she looked him right in the eyes. 'You know we just want you to be happy and your opinion means a lot to us.' She didn't know what she would do if Henry didn't approve. She didn't want to have to give Emma up, but they both knew that Henry would always come first.
Henry's eyes flicked between them as he thought about his answer. Emma looked nervous, and his mom looked a bit scared. 'I think it would be a good thing,' he grinned before he watched a slow smile spread over his mom's face as Emma let out a sigh of relief. 'You already share a son and you already live together, and I know you don't ever sleep in your bed anymore and also I saw you two kissing a few weeks ago,' he finished with a smirk.
Regina let out a laugh while Emma got up from her seat and grabbed Henry before she hoisted him over her shoulder, making him let out a very girly squeal. 'You little shit,' she teased as she threw him down on the sofa and started tickling him. 'So, you've known all this time? And I bet you found it so amusing to watch us try to hide it from you?'
Henry giggled uncontrollably as he squirmed and try to get away from Emma. 'I'm sorry,' he breathed out through his laughter. 'It was funny to hear what excuses you would come out with next.'
Regina watched them with a soft smile. This was her family, the family she had always wanted and as much as she couldn't shake off the fear of what would happen next, now that the curse was broken and the townspeople knew who she was. She also couldn't stop the pure happiness that bloomed in her chest at watching the two most important people in her life laughing together.
She cleared her throat and raised an eyebrow, pushing down the smirk that threatened to over take her features when two sets of identical eyes snapped to her own with matching grins on their faces. God, she loved them so much.
'I didn't realise I was raising two children,' she said with a pointed look towards Emma, who only smirked in response. 'Now, if you're quite finished. I think it's time for some dinner.' She hadn't eaten today, and she knew Emma had only had pancakes, and Henry hadn't had anything since lunch.
Emma and Henry both sat up, red faced and sweaty, and nodded. Regina shot them a smile before she got up and made her way to the kitchen.
'Are you sure you're okay with us kid?' Asked Emma once Regina had left the room. She just needed to make sure he was one hundred percent behind them.
'I didn't know how I felt when I first saw you kissing but then the next morning, I saw mom dancing around the kitchen whilst singing,' he replied with a disbelieving chuckle and at Emma's puzzled look he explained. 'I have never seen her sing or dance in the whole ten years I have been on this earth, and she's been different, a good different. She's more relaxed, she smiles more and she less strict too.' he grabbed Emma's hands. 'You make her happy and I want us to be a family, but you have to promise me you won't hurt her because she's been through enough with her mom and the king and even Snow White.'
He might only be ten but he was far from stupid and he had heard what his mom said about the king hitting her and locking her up and he's glad that he's dead because no one deserves to go through that and especially not his mom.
Emma squeezed her son's hands. She was so proud of him and how mature he had turned out to be, and she once again thanked her lucky stars that Regina had been the one to adopt him.
'I can't promise I won't unintentionally hurt her; adult relationships are complicated but I can promise you I will never do it on purpose nor will I ever raise a hand to her no matter how angry I might get and I will do everything in my power to make sure no else hurts her or you,' she felt tears sting at her eyes and she pulled Henry into a hug. 'You both mean the world to me and I will do whatever's necessary to keep you both safe,' she whispered as she choked back a sob. 'I love you, kid.'
Henry buried his face in her neck. He knew that everything Emma said she had meant, and she had proved it today with the mob and with the Charmings, and she had magic, which made him feel safer. He was a little scared that the townspeople would come back and try to kill his mom, but he believed Emma would protect them.
'I love you too, mama,' he murmured and then he stilled as he realised what he had said. What if Emma wasn't ready for that yet? What if it scared her away?
Emma felt her son stiffen, and she rubbed a hand down his back. 'It's okay Hen, I don't mind, I like it, but maybe you should ask your mom if she's comfortable with it first, hmm?' She asked gently.
She was elated that her son had called her mama, and she wanted cry with joy but she also didn't want to overstep with Regina the development in their relationship was still brand new and she didn't want to overwhelm her very sensitive baby girl especially with all the other stuff she had to deal with.
'I'll talk to her tonight, but I should go and get changed out of my uniform. Mom doesn't allow me to eat in my school clothes. Will you shout of me when dinners ready?' asked Henry, as he pulled back. There was a light blush covering his cheeks, and Emma smiled at how cute her boy was.
'Sure, kid,' she replied as she ruffled his hair before she stood up. 'I'll let your mom know,' she added before she left the den and mode her way into the kitchen.
She felt a dopey grin take over her face as she stood in the door way. Regina was standing at the sink with her back to her. She could hear soft music coming from the radio and the brunette was humming along as she swayed her hips gently.
Regina smelt a hint of vanilla and cinnamon before she felt two arms wrap around her waist from behind. She breathed in deeply as she leant back against the firm, soft body and rested her head on Emma's shoulder. 'How you doing, baby girl?' purred the blonde into her ear, making a delicious shiver rack the brunette's body.
She let a small smile grace her lips before she answered. 'I'm exhausted. So much has happened today, and it still hasn't sunk in properly, but I don't want to talk about any of that right now. I just want to have dinner with you and our son,' she replied tiredly before she spun around in Emma's arms and kissed her softly.
Emma pulled Regina closer as she kissed her back, pouring every once of love she felt into it. She moved her lips across the brunette's jaw, smirking as she felt Regina's hand grip her hair as she made her way down her neck.
'Emma,' moaned Regina softly as she felt the blonde suck on the skin just below her ear. 'Henry.' She let out a louder moan when Emma grabbed her ass and squeezed it roughly.
'Henry is upstairs getting changed. He asked me to shout of him when dinners done,' husked the blonde before she lifted Regina up and walked over and placed her on top of the kitchen island.
Regina wrapped her legs tightly around Emma's waist as she pulled the blonde down for a kiss. She felt Emma's hand grip her hips and pull her closer before they slid under her top and up her sides. 'Are you wet for me, baby girl?' the blonde whispered hotly in her ear.
'Always,' groaned Regina as she rolled her hips. The logical side of her brain was telling her to stop this right now before it got out of hand.
Their son was upstairs and dinner was in the oven, and they didn't have time to fuck, but the other side of her brain the one that was consumed solely by Emma Swan, her magic fingers, soft skilled tongue, big thick cock and her filthy mouth, inevitably won out. 'Fuck me, darling.'
Emma chucked against Regina's neck. She loved how much the brunette always wanted her. She moved her hands to the waistband of her pants. 'Lift your ass baby,' she ordered gently. They would have to be quick and quiet.
Regina grabbed on to Emma's shoulders as she lifted her self up. She felt the blonde pull down her pants and she hissed as the cool marble counter top hit her over heated skin. She glanced quickly at the kitchen door to make sure it was shut.
'You have to be quiet, baby, okay?' She heard Emma say before her legs were spread and her glistening pussy was on full display.
She nodded before she bit down on her lip to hold in her moans as she felt a soft, wet tongue lick the length of her slit. 'Fuck,' she murmured quietly as Emma latched onto her clit and sucked hard. The blonde obviously wasn't in a teasing mood and she didn't know whether she loved or hated her for that, probably a bit of both.
Emma pressed down on Regina's hips as she flicked her tongue over her swollen bundle of nerves before sucking again. She looked up and saw the brunette watching her, her chest was heaving and she had a death grip on the edge of the counter and Emma knew it would take her long to make her cum.
She moved one hand down to her entrance that was already dripping with arousal and pushed two fingers is slowly. Regina's walls clamped down instantly and she heard a drawn-out low moan from the woman above her as she started to thrust in and out gently.
Regina's hand flew to Emma's hair as she ground her pussy into the blonde's fingers that were filling her deliciously. Her thighs trembled from how tight her muscles were clenched as Emma picked up her pace and fucked into her faster. Her back arched off the bench and a loud moan slipped out of her mouth.
Emma should have known Regina wouldn't be able to be quiet. She ripped her mouth away as she stood up and slammed their lips together, swallowing any noises that might come out of the brunette's mouth. 'I told you to be quiet,' she hissed against Regina's mouth as she pressed her thumb down on her clit.
Regina bit down on her lip again. 'I can't,' she whimpered softly as Emma pulled out of her completely before slamming back in with three fingers. 'Not when you're fucking me so good. Fuck, Emma, harder,' she moaned quietly as she gripped the back of the blonde's neck and kissed her hungrily. She could feel the pressure of her climax building as Emma took her higher and higher.
Emma gripped her hair and held her close, their lips never parting as she fucked three fingers rapidly into Regina's tight, wet cunt while her thumb slid her clit from side to side frenziedly. 'You're going to cum for me, aren't you, baby girl?' She panted against the brunette's lips.
Regina dug her nails into Emma's shoulder as she rocked her hips frantically. 'Yes, darling, I'm going to come for you. I'm so close, I just need...' she whimpered desperately. She was right on edge, but it wasn't enough.
Emma smirked as she curled her fingers against the spongy spot inside Regina's clenching cunt, knowing exactly what she needed to push her over the edge. 'I know what you need baby, I'll always know what you need. Now be my good little girl and cum for me,' she commanded sternly.
Emma calling her a 'little girl,' hit different and her body stilled before her eyes rolled back in her head and she shook violently with the force of her orgasm. 'Daddy,' she screamed as pleasure ripped through every nerve in her body and her pussy gushed all over Emma's hand.
'Fuck, Regina, fuck,' moaned Emma as she pulled her fingers out of her and grabbed hold of her cock before slamming inside of her still convulsing cunt. 'Call me that again,' she growled as she pounded into the brunette.
Regina dragged her nails hard down Emma's back. The pleasure she was feeling right now was so overwhelming that she thought she might pass out. 'fuck, daddy, fuck me harder, pound your little girl,' she cried out hoarsely, not really aware of the words that were coming out of her mouth.
Neither of them knew it, but Emma's magic had cast a silencing spell and also put a barrier on the kitchen door, stopping anyone from entering. Luckily though Henry was in the shower and wasn't at all aware of what was going on downstairs.
Emma gripped Regina's hair as she yanked her head back and ploughed into her at a punishing pace, while the brunette moaned wantonly as she withered on the kitchen counter. 'That's it, baby girl moan for daddy. Let me hear how much you love my cock,' she grunted as she felt her balls tighten.
Regina moaned louder as she rolled her hips into Emma's merciless thrusts. She could feel another orgasm building as the blond hit her G-spot with every brutal pump. 'I'm going to cum again,' she whimpered as she brought her fingers to her clit and made tight furious circles. 'Cum with me, daddy, please cum inside your little girl,' she added with a whine.
Emma's hips jerked as her hand grabbed Regina's tit through her blouse and pinched her nipple roughly. 'Cum for me baby, cum hard all over daddy's cock, and I promise I'll fill you up,' she panted as she felt the brunette's pussy clamp down on her cock. She watched as Regina's back arched high off the counter top before a gush of wetness coated her cock as her baby girl was thrown into her second orgasm.
The pleasure she felt at both watching and feeling the absolute goddess that is Regina cum all over her hard cock coupled with the brunette's shout of 'I'm Cumming for you, daddy.' Pushed Emma over the edge as well, and she stilled before she sprayed her thick cum deep into her baby's hungry little cunt.
'God,' panted Emma as she pulled an exhausted Regina into her arms. 'I love you so fucking much.' The brunette let out a breathless chuckle before she felt Emma kiss the top of her head.
'I love you too, darling,' she breathed as she closed her eyes, basking in the feel of Emma's arms around her. She really did, and she didn't know how she had managed to keep it to herself for this long, but she was glad she didn't have to pretend anymore.
Emma pulled back, her breathing returning to normal. She gripped Regina's chin gently and tipped her head so she could look into her eyes. 'Oh, so we're back to darling now? Not daddy anymore?' She questioned with a raised eyebrow.
Regina blushed a deep shade of red as she lowered her eyes. 'I don't know where that came from,' she admitted quietly. She was embarrassed and a little ashamed, but hearing Emma call her 'little girl' ignited something inside of her and she couldn't have stopped the words even if she wanted to. She just hoped the blonde didn't think she was weird.
'Look at me, Regina,' said Emma gently, but when the brunette didn't answer, she changed her tone. 'Now!' She commanded, knowing Regina wouldn't disobey a direct order no matter how much she wanted to.
Regina lifted her head. She was powerless against the blonde's stern voice, and she felt her clit pulse. She adored dominant Emma. She loved soft, gentle, caring Emma as well, but dominant Emma was the one she craved the most.
Emma cupped her cheek as she smiled at her softly. 'I enjoyed it when you called me daddy, and if it was something you ever wanted to do again, well, I would really like that,' she confessed.
'I liked it too,' whispered Regina shyly as she bit her lip. 'I loved it when you call me your little girl. Does that make me weird?'
Emma gazed at her lovingly. 'No baby girl, there's a whole community of people who love that too and when we have more time, we can talk about it properly but for now I want you to know that I will never judge you for anything you say, think or feel. You're not weird or strange or disgusting. You are you and I love every single part of you, even the parts you think are unlovable. Do you understand?' She asked gently.
Regina nodded before she moved forward and captured Emma's lips on her own. 'I understand, daddy,' she whispered against the blonde's mouth as she pulled back.
'Good girl,' praised Emma before she lifted her down off the counter and pulled her pants up. 'Now go and finish dinner.' She said, as she gave Regina a playful slap on her ass.
It was a few minutes later that Emma tried to leave the kitchen and realised that she couldn't. She pulled the handle again, think that maybe it was just jammed, but it still wouldn't budge.
'Um, Regina, I think we're locked in,' she said as she pulled the handle again. Regina spun round from where she had been grating some cheese and watched as Emma fought with the door.
'You're probably just not pulling it hard enough,' she chuckled as she moved over towards Emma. She smelled the magic as soon as she got into the blonde's space. It smelled like vanilla with a hint of lavender, and it was intoxicating.
'I think you've sealed it with your magic,' she replied huskily. Emma's magic was so arousing. She hadn't had time to analyse it earlier with everything that had been going on, but she was radiating power. She was powerful, really powerful, and it made Regina's head spin.
'I don't know how to use my magic. I have no idea how I stopped the sword or how I blasted Snow back,' huffed Emma as she spun around to face Regina, whose pupils had dilated. 'Omg, are you getting turned on by me using magic?' She laughed.
Regina scowled at her. 'It's very intoxicating, especially to another magic user. You're really powerful, Emma. It's hot,' she replied, her voice dripping with arousal.
Emma smirked. 'We don't have time to fuck again baby, now tell me how I undo the sealy thing?'
'You need to picture the door unlocking in your mind and focus on that,' she instructed as she held Emma's hand and raised them towards the door.
Emma pulled up a picture of the door unlocking in her mind and focused on it. She felt a surge of something rush through her veins and she gasped as her eyes shot open. 'I think I did it,' she whispered in awe.
Regina let go of her hands and pulled open the door, only to find Henry standing looking confused on the other side. 'Hey, why did you lock the door, and how it doesn't even have a lock on? Also, couldn't you hear me shouting?' he inquired.
Regina chuckled. 'Emma locked it with magic by accident, and she obviously cast a silencing spell as well,' she turned to the blonde and smirked. 'That is very advanced magic, I told you, you were powerful and it's pure light magic, which is almost unheard of.'
Henry walked up to Emma and high-fived her. 'Way to go Ma,' he praised before he realised what he had said and that his mom was in the room. 'I mean-.'
'Did you just call Emma, Ma?' Asked Regina curiously as she looked at her son, who blushing and looking a bit nervous. She glanced at Emma, who was looking a bit guilty.
Henry swallowed and raised his chin. 'I want to call Emma mom too, well, actually earlier I called her mama, but she said that I had to see if you were comfortable with it first and I said I would talk to you but its just slipped out again and I'm sorry if its hurt your feelings but she technically is mother as well, and you said we were a family earlier,' he rambled.
Regina let out a giggle before she smiled at him softly. 'If you and Emma are okay with it, then I'm okay with it as well. You're ten and you're mature enough to choose what you want. I trust your decision,' she said gently before placing a kiss on his head. She then turned to Emma, whose eyes had filled with tears, and kissed her softly on the lips.
Henry launched himself at Emma, who caught him before she hugged him fiercely, letting the tears of happiness flow freely down her cheeks. she then grabbed a hold of Regina and pulled her in too. 'Welcome to the family, Mama,' said Henry into Emma's neck. 'We love you.'
Over on main street Snow White had just entered the diner. She was instantly ambushed with questions soon as she walked through the door. 'When will the Evil Queen get punished?' 'How do we get back home?' 'Are you still our queen?' 'Why is your daughter on that monster's side?' 'How did the curse break?' that one she would not answer.
She shushed them before she began to speak. 'Regina will be punished, and I'm working on a way to get us home, but it might take a while. Me and Charming will resume our roles as rulers, yes, and as always, our people and their happiness will come first. I think the Evil Queen has done something to Emma so I warn you all to not go over there or antagonise either of them, I have no idea what my daughter is capable of while she's in that demons clutches and it seems like she has magic,' she warned, knowing that her people would never disobey her.
The small crowd broke out into murmurs as they discussed what she had said. She was about to move to the counter when a voice stopped her.
'I don't want to go back,' informed Ruby confidently. The crowd instantly stopped talking as they turned to face her. 'I like it here. We have everything we need. We have electricity, clean water, food, homes, the Internet, money, jobs, indoor pluming, did I mention the Internet? Because I don't know if my follows on Instagram would cope without a daily photo of me eating my dinner. Yeah, it sucked that we didn't have our memories, but for some of us that was more of a blessing than a curse.'
Snow gaped at her, her eyes brimming with betrayal. That was her best friend, but it seemed like she had now turned against her.
'I don't want to go back either. I couldn't afford to feed my children in our world and I refuse to go through that again,' said someone else from the crowd.
'Yeah, I don't want to go back to selling wood for a living. I like being a baker. My cupcakes have won awards,' agreed someone else. There were a few more people that said they didn't want to leave and Snow was getting more and more irritated by the second.
She marched over to red and gripped her elbow. 'How could you do this to me? you know what Regina has done to my family, and now you're on her side?' She shrieked, her face red with anger.
Ruby ripped her arm out if Snows grasp. She loved her best friend, she really did, but sometimes she was so self absorbed and spoilt that it just made her want to wolf out and rip her apart. She wouldn't do that though, obviously, because she wasn't a murderer, apart from that one time, which was actually an accident.
'I'm not on her side,' she hissed back, her own irritation showing in her voice. 'But I stand by what I said, it was a relief to not feel guilt over what happened to Peter and also I got a cool new Cape that helps me control my wolf plus Emma is my friend and I trust her, I know you don't want to hear it but she's not under any spell, there's been something going on between her and Regina since the day they first met.'
Snow stomped her foot in frustration. Yes, she actually done that and it took Red by surprise. Snow had always been a bit of a brat, but she had never been his bad before. 'No child of mine will be in cahoots with the Evil Queen. If Emma's doesn't come to her senses on her own, then I will make sure she does,' she threatened.
Ruby shook her head as she tried to calm her irritation. 'Snow, you can't force Emma to do anything. Trust me, I know.'
'Omg,' yelled Snow loudly. 'Did you actually sleep with my daughter? You are her godmother, that's disgusting.'
Ruby scoffed. 'I was cursed. I had no idea that it was my goddaughter, and she's totally banging Regina now who is technically her step-grandmother, which is way worse,' she responded with a slight growl. It had made her feel a bit sick when she had realised what she had done, but it wasn't her fault so she wouldn't allow herself to be shamed for it.
'She was never my mother,' seethed Snow as she glared at Ruby. 'She killed my father because she was jealous that he loved me more than her. She couldn't stand not to be the centre of attention.'
It was a lie, and she knew it, but she couldn't let Regina win again, and what happened with Daniel wasn't her fault. It was Cora's and Regina's for falling in love with a stable boy in the first place. She should have stuck to royalty like normal princesses.
Ruby didn't believe that. Snow had already told her that Regina blamed her for the loss of a loved one and that's why she was trying to kill her. She didn't know all the details but seeing the way her friend was acting now, she kind if understood why someone might want to murder her.
'I have work to do,' she replied, not bothering to address anything the school teacher had said. She wondered how David felt about all of this. She was aware that he never really cared about being king and he only went along with it because he loved Snow. He didn't want to take the kingdom back from Regina. He would have been happy living in the woods.
Snow didn't get a chance to answer as Ruby made her way back behind the counter. She couldn't believe the nerve of the woman. How could she think the curse was a good thing? And how she and those other people not want to go back home? She hoped that the plan she had in mind would work because if it did, then soon there wouldn't be a Storybrooke for them to stay in and if some of them refused to leave, we'll then maybe it would be for the best because frankly anybody that supported the Evil Queen wasn't welcome in her kingdom, anyway.
Back at the mansion. Emma and Regina were about to head up to bed when they heard what sounded like voices outside of the mansion. Emma spun around from where she had been about to the climb stairs. 'I told them I would arrest them all if they came back here,' she growled as she moved towards the front door.
Regina hurried behind her and pressed her hand to the door before the blonde got a chance to open it. 'Wait,' she said as she stepped in front of Emma. 'Do you not think they deserve some kind of justice for what I did to them? I ruined their lives, Emma. I killed their loved ones, and they won't stop until I'm punished,' she said sadly.
Emma pulled her into her arms. She couldn't bear to see that look on her baby girl's face. 'They're not perfect, Regina, and if they want to punish you, then they can punish every person in this town who has also killed people, and that includes Snow, David, Rumple, and even Ruby. They're all murderers too,' she pointed out.
She wouldn't let Regina be punished unless they were going to hold everyone else accountable for their actions, too. Rumple was just as much to blame for the curse as Regina was probably even more so, but you didn't see anyone mobbing his house.
Regina sighed. 'You may have a point,' she agreed reluctantly. 'but, I will have to face up to my crimes at some point especially if we're going to coexist with these people, and I refuse to hide behind my really powerful girlfriend even if it does turn me on to see you defend my honour,' she smirked with a wink that made Emma snort.
'Um, I can't remember you being turned on when I punched Gold or when I punched Graham. In fact, both of those incidents made you super pissed at me,' reminded the blonde with a pout.
'Technically I didn't see either of those incidents, I walked in during your speech to Gold, which yes you were defending my honour but I was more worried about the fact that you had just tried to kill the dark one, but trust me I swooning on the inside, and with Graham, well I only seen you bend his finger back because he said he was going to ask you on a date,' scowled Regina as she remembered Ruby, Graham and Sophie fighting over her Emma.
'But today, I saw you literally pick up a man and throw him across my lawn, and then you blasted the woman that I hate with my entire being into a wall. Why do you think I don't have any panties on? I had to remove them before I went to cook dinner because they were soaked,' she admitted with a purr as she bit her lip sexily.
Emma smirked. 'I'll keep that in mind, but now let's go and see what the village idiots on your porch want, so we can go to bed,' she replied as she pulled the door open.
She was a bit confused about what she seen as she had been expecting a lot of angry fairy tale characters carrying pitch forks and sticks with fire on the end but instead there was about fifty people all stood in rows dressed in all black carrying swords, and as soon as they spotted Regina, they all stood up a little straighter.
She watched as one of them stepped forward and bowed. 'Your majesty, I'm sorry we didn't get here sooner, but it took us a while to round everyone up,' he apologised before he stepped back into line.
Another man stepped forward after that, and Emma took a quick glance at Regina. Her back was as straight as a board, her chin was raised, while her face was an emotionless mask. She looked every bit like the queen she once was, and the blonde didn't know whether to be turned on or a little scared.
'We came here to offer our services to you and your family, and to tell you that we're extremely grateful for everything you gave us in the curse. Snow White's men burned down our homes and killed our families. They attacked without warning.' he shook his head, trying to dislodge the images of screaming children and burning bodies.
Someone else stepped forward as the man that had spoken before seemed to be overcome with too much emotion to continue his speech. This time it was a woman that spoke.
'They called you the Evil Queen, but you would have never allowed your soldiers to massacre children. You made it very clear that innocents were off limits. We followed your orders. We never harmed children, ever, and we never killed anyone unless they attacked first. Most of Snow's people could be bribed with money. We want justice and we're here to swear our loyalty to you once again. You are our queen and we will obey your every command and protect you with our lives,' she vowed before she stepped back into place.
Regina looked out at the faces of the people that were once her dark knights. They had been loyal and valiant soldiers, and she had rewarded them greatly in the curse. She looked towards Emma to try to gauge her reaction, but the blonde was stiff and stony faced. She didn't want to start another war, and she didn't know how Henry would react to the fact she had a small army of people who would kill for her without any hesitation.
'Excuse us for a moment,' she said regally before she grabbed Emma's hand and pulled her to the corner of the porch. 'What are you thinking?' She asked with a hint of nervousness.
Emma took a deep breath before a slow smirk spread across her face. 'I'm thinking that you're really just a big softie and all that talk about "I've killed thousands of people Emma, most of them innocent, I'm a big scary evil witch" was just a big fat lie-.'
'I have killed thousands of people, just never children or people that wanted no part in the war. That's what my knights meant about innocents. Snow had an army of ten thousand men spread out across the lands and when the curse was cast, less than one thousand of those remained. Some of those people only fought so they could feed their families and keep a roof over their heads, I didn't think twice about killing them though because they were willing to kill as well but the difference was, they only did it out of necessity whereas I did it out of vengeance,' she whispered harshly, she wouldn't let Emma downplay her ruthlessness, she was a Queen and she would own up to her crimes she would not let people sugar coat the destruction she had caused.
Emma noticed the irritation in Regina's eyes and she held her hands up in surrender. 'Relax baby, I was just trying to lighten the mood, don't worry, I fully believe that you used to be a sociopathic evil murdering sorceress,' she replied, keeping all hints of teasing out of her tone. 'And if they want to serve and protect you, then who are we to tell them no?'
Regina eyed her carefully. 'You realise that if Snow or Charming attempt to attack, they won't hesitate to kill them or anybody else for that matter, obviously, unless it's a child?'
Emma nodded. 'I understand, however I don't think Charming will try anything, he seemed pretty sincere earlier, and I think Snow was far too freaked our about my magic to attempt an attack but it wouldn't hurt to have your guards watch over the house tonight,' she reasoned.
She has promised to protect her family and if Regina's people wanted to help with that, then she wasn't going to stop them plus it sounded like Snow wasn't as innocent as she'd like everyone to believe she was and maybe she did have something nefarious up her sleeve.
'Very well,' answered Regina as she laced their fingers together and walked them back to the front of the porch. Emma thought she would have let go once they got back in front of the brunette's soldiers, but she didn't. She held on tight as she began to speak.
'My loyal subjects, we have decided to take you up on your offer,' she started, her voice firm and confident. 'However, the old rules still apply. You will not kill children and you will not attack unless attacked first. You are all aware of what happens if you disobey me, and I won't hesitate to punish you if you step out of line,' she threatened with a sinister smile.
'You don't have your magic here,' shouted someone from the ranks. 'How do you propose to hang us upside down in our underwear if you can't levitate us?'
Emma looked to Regina cautiously, wondering if she was about to witness the brunette's first murder since she came to Storybrooke. So, she was quite surprised to see a smirk stretched across her lips and a spark of amusement in her eyes.
'I don't have my magic, no,' she agreed. 'However, Emma does and I don't think it will take much convincing from me to persuade her to use it on any of my unruly subjects that don't know how to follow simple orders.' she turned to Emma with a seductive smile. 'isn't that right darling?' She purred.
Emma swallowed hard at the look the brunette was giving her. Jesus Christ, no wonder all these people wanted to serve and obey her. Regina was hot as fuck when she was in queen mode. She was a burning beacon of raw sexuality and the confidence was radiating of her in waves, not that she wasn't hot all the time because she was but Emma hadn't really got to witness this side of her, even as mayor it was kind of muted.
'Um, yeah, whatever you want,' she replied, her lust filled green eyes fixed firmly on the breath-taking brunette in front of her.
Regina turned her back to her guards as she flashed Emma a softer smile full of gratitude that had the blonde swooning almost instantly before she once again faced forward and addressed her subjects.
'So, As I was saying before we so rudely got interrupted,' she shot a pointed glare at the man who had the nerve to shout out when his queen was speaking and smirked at his now terror-filled eyes. 'You will obey my every command. You will also obey any direct or indirect order from my partner. She is as much your queen as I am. Do you understand?'
There was a loud chorus of 'Yes, your majesty.' Before Regina nodded and her eyes searched the ranks looking for someone in particular, however, she couldn't seem to find them.
'General Nightingale, please step forward,' she commanded. Emma looked over the ranks curiously, wondering who Regina's right hand was before she saw someone who had been situated right at the back make their way towards her. The person was wearing a black and silver helmet that covered most of their face so she couldn't tell if they were a man or a woman.
'Your majesties,' they bowed before standing to attention. 'Okay,' thought Emma. 'it's definitely a woman. You can tell by her voice.'
'Remove your helmet, Oriel, and face your queen,' ordered Regina. Emma could have sworn she heard a sigh of irritation before she gasped as the woman's face came into view.
'Omg, it's Sophie!' exclaimed Emma as she bounced on her heels while she pointed a finger at the woman's face. Regina had to turn away to keep herself from giggling at the blonde's antics.
Once she composed herself, she turned back around, her blank mask back in place. 'Actually, her name is Oriel, and she is the best soldier I've ever had,' she replied to Emma, who was still kind of gaping at the woman she only knew as Sophie.
'Your secretary, Regina, really? How could you?' hissed Oriel quietly, not wanting the others to hear.
Regina smirked. 'That's what you get for betraying me. I could have done a lot worse. I made O'Hara a pre school teacher. You got off lightly.'
Oriel crossed her arms. 'For the last time, I did not help him beat you in your last game of chess. You were just having an off day, which wasn't surprising since you were about to cast the curse a day later,' she whisper shouted.
Emma let out a snort of laughter as she turned to Regina. 'Such a petty little brat,' she teased before the brunette stomped on her foot, making her yelp in pain. 'Jesus, Gina,' she cried as she hopped on one leg around the porch.
Regina heard a few sniggers of laughter come from her ranks, so she shot them a glare before she turned back to Emma, who had now stopped hopping and was pouting instead. 'You'll pay for that later,' threatened the blonde, and Regina knew exactly what she meant.
Regina sent her an apologetic smile before she turned back to Oriel. 'Are they here?' She asked vaguely, a glimmer of hope in her eyes.
Oriel gave her a sad smile as she shook her head. 'I'm sorry, I tried, but they said they didn't want to see you.'
Emma watched curiously as the light in Regina's eyes dimmed and she answered with an emotionless 'I see.' And the blonde wondered who they were talking about. It was obviously someone who meant a lot to Regina. She felt a twinge of jealousy, but she pushed it down, reminding herself that the brunette had already told her that she had only slept with the king and Graham before they met, so it couldn't be an ex-lover.
'I want guards stationed around the house tonight and every night until everything settles down. You're in charge of them. We will talk more tomorrow,' was all the brunette said to Oriel before she grabbed Emma's hand and lead them back into the house.
Once up stairs they got ready for bed in silence. Emma wanted to ask what was wrong, but Regina seemed to be in her own little world, and the blonde wasn't even sure if she was aware of her presence. They got into bed, but Regina didn't snuggle up to her like she usually did and instead, she turned her back to the blonde, making it clear that she wasn't in the mood for a conversation.
Emma sighed as she switched off the lamp. She lay on her back staring up at the ceiling, letting the events of today wash over her. The curse had broken, though she still wasn't sure exactly how that had happened. She had magic which she should probably be freaked out about but she wasn't, and she had found out that Snow White want the perfect little princess that everyone thought she was and that Charming hadn't wanted to give her up so she had been loved by at least one parent.
'How do you think the curse broke?' She asked into the silence as she looked over to Regina. The brunette didn't move, but she heard a quiet sniffle.
She moved closer to her and once she was right behind her, she could hear soft crying. 'Hey, what's wrong?' she questioned softly into Regina's ear.
Regina still didn't answer, so Emma got out of her side of the bed and walked around to the brunette's side before she stopped in front of her. Regina had her hands over her eyes, but the blonde reached out gently and moved 'Tell me what's wrong, baby girl,' she said as she tipped Regina's chin so she could look into hereyes. They were red and puffy and they held so much sadness that Emma felt her break. She let go of the brunette's chin and slid into the bed beside her before she pulled her into her arms.
Regina instantly buried her face in Emma's neck and sobbed, not only because she was sad but also because she felt embarrassed. She always turned into such a baby when it was just her and Emma, and she didn't understand why. 'She hates me,' she cried into the blonde's neck.
Emma pulled back and cupped Regina's cheek. 'Who hates you, baby girl?' the blonde had a feeling it was the person who the brunette had asked Oriel about.
Regina took a deep breath as she tried to calm her tears. 'Alma. She doesn't want to see me because she hates me,' she sniffled.
Emma rubbed a hand down her back before she kissed her on the forehead. 'I'm sure she doesn't hate you baby, maybe she just needs time to absorb everything. Today has been difficult for everyone, but especially those that were under the curse,' she reasoned gently. She hated seeing her baby girl upset.
'She begged me not to cast the curse. She told me I was better than that and If I just let go of my anger and the need to kill Snow that I would be happy and I would find my happy ending, eventually. I laughed in her face and told her she was delusional. Anger was all I had left. If I didn't have that, then I had nothing. I was weak. Just like I am now.'
'Regina, you are not weak! you're one of the strongest people I know. You've dealt with so much in your life and you're still standing as tall and as powerful as you always have been. And maybe Alma was right, maybe you would have been happy but you can't change the past, all you can do is apologise and move on. You're not the person you were before the curse and as soon as she realises that. I have no doubts that she will forgive you but you have to give her time.'
Regina nodded weakly. She didn't really believe that Alma would forgive her, but Emma was right, she couldn't do anything about it right now. She felt the exhaustion of the day's events wash over her, and she yawned tiredly. 'Thank you. You always know how to make me feel better.'
Emma placed a kiss on her lips. 'It's my job to take care of my baby girl and make sure she's happy,' she whispered against her lips.
Regina sighed happily before she stole another kiss. 'I love you, Emma Swan,' she breathed out. She honestly didn't know what she would do without her. The blonde had quickly become her rock and, more importantly, her best friend.
Emma pulled her closer. 'I love you too, baby,' she replied softly before she added. 'I still can't believe that shy, timid Sophie is a fucking dark Knight.'
Regina opened her eyes. 'Does that make her more attractive to you?' She asked, trying to push down her jealousy but knowing that it slipped through into her voice.
Emma rolled her eyes. 'No, she's still not my type. No matter how badass she is. You're the only woman that I want and need. Plus, Oriel is obviously your friend and I bet she feels super embarrassed about that little crush she had on me,' she chuckled.
'She's not my friend. She's my general. I've never really had friends,' scowled Regina. 'But I bet she's terrified, wondering what I have in store for her. She'll be expecting some kind of punishment just for daring to look at what's mine,' she finished with a smirk.
Emma let out a chuckle. 'You let her call you Regina, and you played chess with her. She may be your general, but she's also your friend. And you won't punish her at all. She had no idea that we were sleeping together, and she was cursed, so technically it's your own fault,' she pointed out.
'I don't let her. She just started doing it one day and never stopped and chess was the only way to calm me down when I got angry about Snow White still being alive. It reminded me of when I used to play with my father when I was little.' she smiled a little before her eyes turned sad. 'I stopped playing with him after I married the king. Leopold didn't let me play. He said that women shouldn't have intellectual capacity to play chess and he wouldn't have his wife trying to prove she was more intelligent than him.'
'I can't believe that man was my grandfather. He sounds like right chauvinistic pig. Honestly, it makes me feel ill at the thought I'm related to him,' cringed Emma, her voice dripping with disgust.
Regina cupped her cheek. 'You're nothing like him, not even a tiny bit. You're brave, sweet, gentle, and protective. You make me feel so safe, loved, and cherished. He made me feel the opposite of what you do.'
'I have anger issues. What if one day I can't control my rage? I would never forgive myself if I hurt you or Henry.'
'You won't. You only lash out if someone you love is being threatened. Even when you were angry because you thought I had your heart, as soon as you realised you were scaring me, you calmed down and comforted me. You're nothing like Leopold or Snow. In fact, you're probably more like David. He was also a brave, selfless idiot when it came to the people he loved.'
Emma wasn't convinced, but she nodded anyway before changing the subject. 'Do you believe he didn't want to put me in the tree?'
Regina sighed. 'As much as it pains me to say this, yes, I do, when I found out Snow was pregnant, I paid them a visit and he told me if I ever hurt his baby, he would hunt me down and kill me and I could see that he really meant it. I laughed in his face of course, he had threatened me before over Snow but I don't know, he was fiercer when talking about you.' she hesitated, not sure how Emma would take her next words.
'Two days before I cast the curse, he came to me and told me if I agreed not to do it, then he would convince Snow to give me back the kingdom and leave the enchanted forest. However, I knew Snow would never agree with that. All that she ever wanted was to rule over her father's people. I asked him why he was willing to give everything up and he told me that he didn't want his child being born into a stupid family feud and that he just wanted to raise his daughter in peace and he never wanted to be a royal in the first place.'
Emma was quiet while she absorbed all the information Regina had given her. She was a little pissed that the woman hadn't told her all this before, but she kind of understood why she didn't. 'Thank you for telling me. I guess I have a lot to think about.'
