Chapter 43
SRU Headquarters
"Alright Jules the kids are fine. I check them again and they are doing much better including Valerie." Steve said.
"Thank you Steve and Curtis for everything." Jules said and went to hug them both. Then the team notices the scowl in Sam face.
"Glad all you guys are ok. See you guys later." Steve said and he and Curtis left.
"Sam, why are you scowling?" Ed asked and everyone was trying to hold their laughter.
"I am not." Sam snaps and scowls at Jules.
"You better not." Jules snap back and went back to sit down with the kids. The team notices how he continues to look at her and then the scowl went away.
"Somebody is whip." Spike whisper and Sam turn around and glare while everyone else laugh.
"Mommy, can we go home?" Matthew asked.
"Yes honey." Jules said.
"No." Charlie, Michael and Sam said together.
"Why not?" Greg asked.
"Need to check the house for bugs." Charlie said and Sam and Michael nod.
"You guys are really a paranoid group." Lou said.
"You have no idea." Michael said.
"So where do we go?" Jules asked.
"My apartment." Katherine said.
"No again."
"Well I was thinking that maybe you guys want to come with me." Sam said shyly.
"For real?" Samantha said.
"Where?" Jules asked.
"For tonight the Royal York Hotel. It is the safest building in the city right now. I need rest I can't be in the look out. And after that I was thinking that we could go away for the week. I have a week off and I would like you guys to come." Sam said and holds his breath waiting.
"I think that a great idea. We would go with you." Jules said shyly and Sam releases the breath he was holding.
"For real?" Sam asked.
"For real." Jules said.
"Natalie can I stay with you?" Katherine asked.
"I am going to act like I didn't hear that. You're both coming." Sam said.
"Both who?"
"You and Nat." Sam said and Katherine smile.
"I am coming too. Like a family vacation. Oh, Sammy thanks you." Natalie said and started crying.
"Damn Sam, having my girlfriend crying already." Spike said and hugs her. "Can I come too?" Spike asked excited.
"Anybody could come. If you guys get the week off, I could arrange it for everyone to go with us." Sam said.
"Thank you for the offer Sam. That is really nice of you." Greg said.
"I mean it. We could leave tomorrow afternoon, or early Saturday the latest. Come back in a week. We could go the beach, somewhere warm and everything would be pay."
"A pay vacation on the beach with my girls that sound fun." Wordy said.
"I know what you mean; now we just have to convince the wives." Ed said.
"Just let me know by tonight and I make the arrangement. We have to go, we need to debrief."
"Where should we wait for you or meet you there." Jules said.
"Anywhere but your house." Sam said.
"You could come with us." Spike said.
"Yeah, I pick you up at Spike house, plus I haven't seeing his mother in a while and I am hungry." Sam said and everyone laugh.
"Alright, see you guys tonight." Jules said.
"Hey when can we go to pack?" Katherine asked.
"You don't." Sam said and Katherine look confuse.
"Sammy doesn't believe in packing. He rather buys what he needs." Jules said.
"Hey at least you get new clothes." Sam said and winks at them while Jules rolls her eyes. He gave her a fast and hard kiss and then said his goodbyes and he, Charlie and Michael left.
"You are lucky." Angie said.
"I know." Jules said and knew Angie was talking about how nice Sam is but right now Jules felt really lucky that she had her entire family.
"That not what I meant. I feel lucky about that too."
"I know what you meant. Look at them, if it wasn't because of you they wouldn't be here. You kept them alive and you protect them. And I will be grateful for the rest of my life." Jules said watching the kids play with each other while the rest of the team listens.
"I was scared Jules. I was scare that they would kill me and I would leave them alone. Only training made me block everything out. When I knew they were safe the rage took over and I killed them. I killed them with so much passion and I don't regret it."
"It is understandable. You did what you had to do to survive and protect them." Jules said.
"Yeah anyone of us would do it to make sure our kids are safe. I don't even want to imagine what you went through out there." Wordy said.
"I don't know how Sam does it." Angie said and the team notice that she wasn't really thinking about what she was saying.
"What do you mean?" Greg asked.
"The constant scare that something might happen to you guys." Angie said still staring at the kids and not realizing what she really saying. The team notice and try to keep light so she could continue talking.
"We all feel like that toward our family." Greg said using his negotiation voice.
"Yeah, but this is different. He gets videos, and photos of you guys. He gets inform about what you guys do and don't do. He gets then constantly."
"Like what kind of videos and photos?"
"The kind that has your kids head cut off. Or the videos where you take them to a restaurant and you could hear your conversation and you not even talking to the person recording you." Angie said and Katherine and Natalie gasp. Then Angie turns around to face them and realize what she done. Then she pale. "Oh shit I am sorry." Angie said.
"No I am glad you told us." Jules said.
"Damn Sam is going to kill me." Angie said and sighs. She was tired.
"No he won't we won't say anything. So tell me something how long this being going on?" Jules asked.
"6 years. That why he left. I have seeing some of them and I swear is creepy and horrible. That's why I don't know how he does it. I don't know how he haven't gone insane with everything he seeing and done."
"Sam is strong."
"I know, but shit like that mess with your head. I think what had kept him grounded, have being the fact that he needs to keep you guys safe."
"Yeah."
"It is over now or not." Spike said.
"It is or he wouldn't be offering a family vacation."
"Yeah she's right. Sam would had still left if he would think that you guys are a threat." Ed said.
"Yes he would." Jules said and everyone nod.
In the car
"I never thought I would see the day that I would be back with my family."
"Yeah me too. But I am glad that everything is over." Charlie said.
"Oh yes, now we don't have turn on each other thinking that there is a mole in the group." Michael said.
"Well, I think…" Charlie started.
"Don't." Michael said.
"I can't stand the bitch." Charlie snaps.
"Charlie please, she is a good person. She just likes me. It's no harm." Sam said.
"Whatever. Anyway, where are you taking the family?" Charlie asked.
"Somewhere that nobody would find us for a week. You guys should come. I am thinking villas for each family to have privacy and one beach to share."
"That sounds nice and romantic." Michael said.
"Well it is my anniversary tomorrow." Sam said and Charlie and Michael eyes went wide.
"Oh Sammy, how many years again?"
"13 beautiful years and I am happy for each and one of them." Sam said and had the biggest grin on his face.
"I am glad you happy Sammy." Charlie said and her eyes got teary.
"Me too, honey, me too." Sam said and Michael groans.
"Honey." Michael echo and Sam and Charlie laugh.
"Hey guys you going to tell the other too." Michael said.
"Yeah."
"No."
"Charlie."
"Well if you said something, Andrea would go and just mess with everything."
"She might be right about that. Jules might get pissed." Michael said.
"Yeah, well John would go to the states. Mel would go see her family in the states too. Alex would just go to some girl to spend the week and yeah Andrea would tag alone. Alright we won't say anything. Just that we going our separate ways." Sam said and everyone agree.
Spike's house
"They are beautiful Julianna."
"Thank you momma Scarlatti."
"I tell Natalia to get ready to have beautiful children too." She said and Spike and Natalie turn red.
"Ma."
"I want grand kids Michelangelo."
"Yeah I know."
"You guys were there this morning right. I was so worried for you guys, especially that I knew those two were there." She said and pointed at Natalie and Katherine.
"Yeah we were there but everything is good now. Everyone was safe, I promise."
"Thank god. Anyway you guys are staying to eat; the lasagna would be ready soon." She said and went back to the kitchen without waiting for a reply.
"I love her." Jules said.
"Me too. She is so cool and strict. She is just so motherly." Natalie said and Spike saw the glowing in her eyes and it made him fall in love even more.
"Hey Jules do you mind if we go with you guys?" Spike asked and Jules roll her eyes. He was the last one to ask the same question.
"Of course not. It is a free vacation, are you kidding. Plus it would be great to have all you guys there. Like that you guys babysit while Sam and I get some alone time.
"Rabbits." Katherine whisper and Natalie giggles.
"Whatever." Jules said and they all laugh. They continue to talking and laughing and an hour later they hear the bell ring.
"I got it." Momma Scarlatti said. When she opens the door her smile grew. "Sam, my boy. Where have you being young man? You look a mess and you even lost weight. You haven't being eating right?" She kept asking while walking him to the living room. Sam was about to answer, but Valerie squeal in delight from seeing her daddy and everyone turn.
"Daddy." She said and went to hug him.
"Daddy?"
"Yeah this is my husband and father of my kids." Jules said and smile.
"But how? Since when?" She asked confuse.
"Well first they fell in love and then they had…"
"Michelangelo Scarlatti." His mother snap and everyone laugh.
"Long story, but we being married 13 years tomorrow and those brats are my children." Sam said and Jules smile. After everything that happens today he still remembers.
"I knew they remind me of someone. No wonder you guys have some good looking kids."
"Thank you."
"You welcome, but my grandchildren would look better." She said and everyone laugh. "Right on time, you need to eat. Kids let go to the table." She said and usher them to move. Everyone sat down and for a long time Jules and Sam just stared at everyone. It had being a while since they done this.
"Eat you two." Momma said and they both smile at her.
The Mastermind behind everything.
I can't believe this happening. After all the trouble I went through and he is still alive. Fuck that, they all still alive. It wasn't supposed to go like that. I spend years with those fucking terrorist just to make sure that I include my revenge there and they couldn't even kill three fucking kids. And Sam who the fuck he is superman, the fucking guy doesn't die. Had fucking jump from a window and still survive the shit. Got more life than a damn cat. Now he is the damn hero because he saves the girl. He is going to pay for all this. I know they are thinking that everything is over, but I am just getting started. I know him to well and he is going to stay with his family now and he is so than stupid and romantic that he would tell everything to his wife and think everything is ok. But I have a better plan and I would make sure that he is out the picture or I would kill them myself. I will give him a few weeks, two the most, but I would make sure Sam is out the picture and if that doesn't work I am going to have to kill him, which I didn't want because I rather see him suffering and have people hate him than just ending it. Or maybe I should kidnap him and play with him for a while until he dies slowly. No not yet, I still have a plan and I going to put in motions in this two weeks. Let me call the fucking idiot that can't do shit right either. Fucking stupid people, I am going to have to do everything myself.
Somewhere in the city someone was breaking everything in sight because of the rage.
"Hate them." The person said and threw a cup at the wall.
"Why they didn't die. They needed to die." The person said and continues to throw things at the wall.
"I hate them. Always have the better life. Always got everything I wanted. So perfect. I would have killed them already if it wasn't because… no I can't say. I would be dead too and I am not done yet. I would get my revenge."
"Oh I trust her. Sam said. Pussy ass. He should have die and those bastard kids too. And like that she would put a bullet through her head. Trusting some bitch that all she does is complaint and cry. I have being watching her and her children. They think everything is fine in the hold world because they have the best parents. Fuck that I know they parents and they are killers and self-center and arrogant. Aw I hate them." The person scream and then the phone rang.
"Hello." The person said breathing hard.
"I need you to do something."
"Why?"
"Because I said so."
"What?" The person said and the other person explains.
"Ok."
Royal York Hotel
"Our fathers are staying here?" Jules asked.
"Yeah. That why is the safest place right now?" Sam said and holds the elevator door for his family to enter.
"They are beat." Katherine said looking down at Valerie in her arm.
"They had a rough day. We all did." Jules said and look at Matthew in her arms too.
"Yes we did, but we survive." Sam said and also looks at Samantha in his arms. Then they reach the penthouse.
"Whoa, the penthouse." Katherine said in admiration.
"Nothing but the best for my family." Sam said and continues to one of the room to put the kids down. "The room to the left is yours. The kids would be here in the middle and Jules and I are down the hall to the right. Unless I am not staying with her and then I am down the hall to the left." Sam said and smile.
"You better be down the hall to the right." Jules said after kissing the kids goodnight and closing the door.
"Goodnights." Katherine said and rush to her room.
"Did she say something about rabbits?" Sam asked confuse.
"You don't want to know." Jules said and shiver. She didn't know how intense she was going to feel being alone with Sam. He notice the atmosphere change too because his voice went huskier.
"This way." He whisper in her ear and took her hand to lead her to their room. When she opens the door she gasps.
"Oh Sammy, this is beautiful." She said. She didn't know how he did it but he always manages to surprise her.
"Happy anniversary." Sam said and kisses the side of her neck.
