"You know," Blaine said eventually, after he, Kurt, Karma, and Caphriel had been chatting for a while, "I always love those lifetimes when finding out we're soulmates is completely unexpected. There have been times when we haven't even known we were searching, but when we found one another, found out who we were to one another, those moments felt perfectly right."
Kurt smiled at him. "Me, too. Sometimes, it's nice to not have a clue."
Karma chimed in, "I usually get to work some magic in those stories, which, I guess, isn't always so fun for you."
"It's worth it. Finding each other, no matter the journey, still feels like coming alive after being asleep for so long. Regardless of what we have to face to get there, it's always worth it. Any help we get from you is just a bonus," Kurt said.
"So wise," Caphriel commented, smiling at them both. He loved them so much.
"What do you say, Kurt? Should we be surprised?" Blaine asked, that sparkle that told his soulmate he was ready to go again gleaming in his eye.
"If you're ready, my dearest soulmate, I'm ready to follow you into any adventure."
"Well, if you're okay with the one I'm thinking of," Caphriel said, standing up and leading them back to the book of adventures, "you'll be leading, Kurt." He showed them the lifetime he was thinking of, and after they'd read about it, they both looked at one another, instantly knowing. That was the one.
The boys linked hands once again, and Blaine looked at Caphriel. "We're ready."
"Have fun," Caphriel whispered, watching them disappear much as they'd appeared, heading off to a new life together.
Karma walked over, misty-eyed. "Does it ever get easier to watch them go?"
"No. Come here, though. You can watch with me," Caphriel replied, moving over just a bit so Karma could see the screen where they would watch their boys grow up and fall in love.
