"I was thinking the same thing….." Captain Barnacles reveals to Asher and Christina.

"Really?" Asher says, not expecting to hear what he said.

"Yes, when I was told of everything that he did, I saw something in him. I saw Octonaut material. What he did for you two was done by good, not evil. If he was truly evil, he wouldn't have helped you. He wouldn't have gone out of his way. I have been wanting to talk to him about the opportunity of a lifetime to become an Octonaut, however as you already know, he hasn't woken up yet. I also need to speak with Professor Inkling first as well to make sure he is on board with the idea. He is the one who selects Octonauts after all. Ultimately, he is the one who chooses who gets hired and all of the major decisions that have to be made. From what he has told me, a lot goes into hiring someone." Barnacles goes on.

"One thing that I thought about was, since he got fired from The Fearful Diamond Pirates, he no longer as a job. What will he do now? How will he make a living? He lost everything! His job, his home, his pirate life , everything! I think that is another good reason we should hire him." Asher says, revealing his thoughts

"But what position would he be hired for?" Christina asks.

"That is a good question…." Barnacles replies.

"Yeah, Professor hasn't mentioned any positions that he wants to fill lately…." Christina adds.

"That's another thing, Inkling may not want to hire anyone right now. He just hired Asher. He may not have a position available at this time. Especially this last minute. However, we won't know anything until I talk to him. The worst thing that can happen is that he says no." Barnacles says.

:)

Professor Inkling and Barnacles are in the library on board the Octopod.

They are sitting at the table by the window that displays the deep ocean view.

The view is breath taking every time.

It never gets old….

"So Barnacles, why did you want to meet with me?" Inkling asks curiously.

Barnacles asked a few hours ago if he could meet with him alone.

Inkling replied, "Of Course," but was curious to know the reason behind it.

"I have had some thoughts about this…. And Asher and Christina have brought up the idea to me as well." Barnacles takes a huge breath. "What if we made Beau an official Octonaut?" Barnacles reveals.

The room goes silent for a few minutes.

Barnacles was scared to ask Inkling the question.

What if he wasn't on board? What if he didn't think it was a good idea?

Of course, Barnacles would respect whatever Inkling's decision was.

He is his boss after all.

Barnacles would never disrespect Professor.

Finally, Inkling speaks up.

"I believe that this is a great idea Barnacles. Beau has the potential and seems to have all the skills needed. And based on his actions helping Asher and Christina, it seems that he does truly stand for good. Otherwise, he wouldn't have risked everything just to help them. However, we just can't hire him right on the spot. A lot goes into hiring an Octonaut. When I am in the process of hiring someone, I take it very seriously. I ask serious questions. I ask sometimes uncomfortable questions. Beau will have to be interviewed, he will have to take a drug test, I will have to run a background check and so much more."

"But what position would you hire him as? What positions can we fill? What are some options? And not only that, you just hired Asher a little over a week ago… What if there's no room to hire right now?" Barnacles says.

"There is definitely room to hire… I have some positions in mind that I have been wanting to fill… I am unsure at the moment which would be best fit for Beau, if he makes it past all the interviews and tests. I would have to ask what his interests are. I will have a talk with Beau on what he thinks about this opportunity when he wakes up, if he ever does, to see if he is even interested. He may not want to join our crew and our cause." Inkling replies.

"I know you mostly prefer to keep the hiring process to yourself, but could you keep all of us informed on the process… just this one time…especially because this is a unique situation. I also believe that you should tell the others about this idea. Some may feel skeptical about Beau…." Barnacles suggests.

"I will make an exception for this situation. I wouldn't want someone to feel uncomfortable or doesn't agree with the idea. I will also tell the crew about all the tests that Beau has to do in order to be considered and eligible to be hired. I am confident that will make everyone feel more comfortable and more on board with the idea." Inkling responds.

:)

Doctor Wilson is becoming even more worried about Beau.

Beau has been in a coma for a few days now.

The situation is becoming more serious than ever.

Doctor Wilson paces the hallway.

He is feeling so jittery and anxious.

Yes, he knows that this is all part of the job, but he worries about all his patients the same.

This patient's life is in his hands!

If he dies, he may not ever forgive himself.

Like other times before in the past if a patient of his dies, he later on got thoughts like, "What could he have done differently? Or, "What could he have done better to prevent them from dying?"

Being a Doctor can be mentally hard sometimes….

Not everyone can handle the stresses and anxieties of being a Doctor.

Doctor Wilson sometimes wonders how he survives some days.

But what makes it all worth it, is when a patient makes a full recover and they get to go home and go back to their normal lives.

He decides to go check on Beau again.

He has been back and forth to see if he is awake so many times that he has lost count how many times he has been.

He is afraid that he will walk in again just to find him still sleeping, but it doesn't hurt to check.

Doctor Wilson paces down the hall to his room.

He quietly turns the door knob and opens the door to Beau's room and to his surprise, Beau's eyes are wide open and he is staring back at him with fear and anxiety in his eyes.
