"Wait what? You want to make me an Octonaut? Why me?" Beau exclaims still not quite believing what he just heard.
"Well, after hearing and witnessing what you did for Asher and Christina, you are everything that an Octonaut is. You have all of the qualities that I look for when I am hiring an Octonaut. However, before I can officially hire you, there is more that has to be done first. There is of course the interview process, a background check, and a drug test. I require every candidate to do these things when I am in the hiring process. What do you say? Would you like to go through this process and see where this goes?" Inkling says.
Beau is silent at first before answering.
That was a lot to take in!
Barnacles and Professor Inkling just asked if he wanted to join the world famous crew, The Octonauts and become an Octonaut…..
Did that just happen?
They really want a pirate to join their crew that has a bad past?
He didn't know what to think….
"I.. do not even know what to say mateys… you really want me? A pirate? Why me out of everyone in the seven seas?" Beau exclaims.
"Yes, Beau we want you to join our crew! Your past is your past, it doesn't define you. Your past doesn't matter… this could be the beginning of something new for you. A new life away from evil… just like you said you have always wanted. What do you say?" Barnacles says encouraging Beau.
Before Beau answers, he takes a deep breath, "Yes mateys, I will go through this interview process. I will give this thing a try and see where this goes."

Asher and Christina are in their hospital room.
It has been a few days since they arrived at the hospital.
Both have become stronger already, however, they still need oxygen support, and still have drips attached in their arms.
They have gotten word that Beau is awake and has decided to move forward with the interview process.
As they lie down in their hospital beds, they reflect on everything.
"I am just glad that Beau has awoke from that coma… that was such a scary situation… he could have never woke up…." Christina says.
"I know…. That was rough. I also felt bad about it because in a way, it was our fault that he passed out in the first place…." Asher says feeling a pain of guilt.
"I kinda felt the same way too. But we have to remember, it wasn't our fault. The boulders falling and causing the fire wasn't our fault. And Beau just wanted to help us. If I was Beau, I would have carried us out of the cave too, even if I knew that I would be risking my health." Christina says revealing her thoughts on the situation.
"I would have too, it would have killed me if I didn't do the right thing….. I couldn't have lived with the fact that I didn't help someone, especially in a life threatening situation." Asher revealed.
"I just can't help but wonder what Beau thinks about all of this…." Asher adds.
"What do you mean?"
"That we wanted to make him an Octonaut despite him coming from a bad pirate crew…. He probably didn't see that coming… he is probably shocked out of his mind…"
"Oh yeah… I bet he has lots of thoughts running through his head. And since he got fired from the Fearful Diamond pirates, he now has to think about his future…. And what he is going to do next… that has to be a lot…." Christina replies.
"That is one of the reasons why I thought that we needed to bring up the idea of possibly letting Beau join the Octonauts. Because he seems to be Octonaut material, but mainly because he has nowhere to go, no job no anything. I thought we needed to tell Professor Inkling about it and see where it went from there…." Asher replies.
"But I wonder this, will he make it past the interview stage? And then there's the background check…. Being hired as an Octonaut is not easy… you know…" Christina says.
"Duh! I know! I just went through that a few weeks ago!" Asher laughs. "Inkling asked so many questions…. Questions about everything….. we would talk on the phone for what felt like hours…. Professor really does take hiring very seriously. We wouldn't want him to hire a serial killer… that would not be good at all…." Asher laughs at his own sentence.
Christina laughed, "No it wouldn't be…"
The two laugh for a moment.
Immediately after that, a knock is heard coming from the door.
The knock confused the twins… they weren't expecting any visitors…
None of the Octonauts said they were coming again today…they have already left for the day, if they were coming back, they would have told them…
And their nurses just came by to check on them just minutes before.
It can't be them either…..
"Who would that be?" Asher says confused.
"I have no idea…." Christina replies, suddenly feeling scared….
Asher and Christina's hearts both start to beat really fast….
The door begins to creak open….
A middle aged man and woman enter the room, with their eyes both filled with tears….
