Author's note: Hello everyone! I know it has been quite some time since I last updated. I'll start off by saying I am sorry for leaving you hanging like that. Writers block is the worst! So this is the FINAL chapter of the Lost Diamonds. Originally, I was going to break it up into two chapter, however, I like it better with everything in this chapter combined and all together. Then, you wouldn't have to wait any longer for another update. So my gift to you all for waiting so patiently is an extra long chapter! I wanted to say thank you all for the support you have given to my story! From taking time to read chapters, reviewing, and turning on your post notifications. Everything you have all done to support my story means the world to me. I still can't believe this is the last chapter. I might do more Octonaut fanfics in the future, if I get any ideas…. So just to be sure you don't miss any new stories in the future, go follow "Peaceloveauthor13" then you won't miss a thing! I hope you all love the ending! I worked hard on it so I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it! Finally, what you have been waiting for….

Asher and Christina look back at the man and woman looking directly at them.

The man and woman's eyes was full of tears.

There is an awkward silence….

Asher decides to speak up, "Who are you?"

The two visitors continue to wipe tears from their eyes.

The woman decides to speak up, while still sniffling, "We… are your mom and dad…."

Asher and Christina turn and look at each other immediately after hearing those shocking words, both gasp in unison.…

Their parents? Their real parents? Could this be true?

Tears stream down their faces like rivers.

The parents walk over to them and they join in a big hug.

Everyone becomes emotional.

"I never thought this day would come….." Asher reveals, still wiping away the tears.

Asher doesn't like to see himself cry.

He hates it because he doesn't like to be seen as weak.

He is a tough person, and that is what he wants to be known as, tough.

His entire life before everything that has occurred in the past week, he believed that men aren't supposed to cry, however, the saying, "real men aren't afraid to cry in the presence of others." Stuck to him all the sudden. Asher realized that today was when he became a real man. He stopped hiding his emotions. It was safe to say that this past week has changed him…today really changed him…. A lot has changed him….

Christina becomes quiet.

Everyone quickly notices.

"You didn't know? Did you?" The man asks.

Christina takes a deep breathe, "No…." Then immediately cries.

Everyone hugs her tightly, comforting her.

"It appears that both of your adopted parents chose differently on your origins. Asher's chose to tell him the truth of being adopted. While Christina's chose to keep it from her. I know whether to tell the truth or not was an extremely difficult decision. I respect both of their decisions." The man says.

Asher and Christina have so many questions running through their heads….

It was time for some questions to be finally answered…

"Did our adopted know anything about our family history and the diamonds?" Asher asks first.

"No. We only told the Adoption Agency because we had to be sure you two were placed in good, safe homes. We also had to make sure your new homes were far away from each other. We preferred you to go to two separate countries to make sure you two never met. Whenever your adoptive parents had been picked out, one of the couples was from Australia and the other couple was from Washington DC. It worked out great that both couples were from different countries." The woman asked.

The twins turn to look at each other after hearing what they just heard…tears filled their eyes.

"I guess it was just meant to be for you two to be reunited…." The man says.

After hearing that, the twins start crying once again.

What they were just told was deep….

They were meant to never meet… but Professor Inkling brought them back together…

What are the odds of Inkling picking both of them to be Octonauts?

He could have easily picked different people! Hundreds of people have been interviewed by Professor Inkling!

There was still so many questions to be answered…..

"Now, I will tell you the reason behind why we put you both up for adoption." The man begins.

Asher and Christina listen attentively.

"Yes, the diamonds was the main reason. But there was a reason behind it. We knew it was possible to have twins due to family history on my side. We knew it would happen sooner or later. It could have been in this generation or even fifty years from now. When we went to the first ultrasound, the doctor saw two babies. We both almost passed out. What really shocked us, was when the Doctor told us it would most likely be fraternal twins because the two babies had two separate sacs. Identical twins share a sac. It is impossible for boy and girl twins to be identical twins. Two separate sacs meant it was more possible it could be a boy and a girl. According to legend, in order to unlock the diamonds, it had to be fraternal twins, a boy and a girl. A few weeks later, we went back to the Doctor to find out your genders. When we found out the genders, we cried. Not just happy tears, but sad ones as well. You two were in danger. We knew it was clear that we couldn't keep you. If we did, you couldn't have normal lives. We would have had to hire security go with you everywhere you go. Thieves and pirates would have tried to kidnap you and use you to unlock the treasure. You wouldn't have been able to have a life. You wouldn't be free. We couldn't live with the fact that we sheltered you from living life. We put you up for adoption so that you two could be free and live a normal life. And to keep you safe from dangerous people who were out to find you both. It was the only way you could be free and safe from dangerous people. It was the hardest decision we have ever had to make, but we knew it was best." The man explained.

Asher and Christina are crying once again.

What they just heard…. Like woah….. that was a lot…

Their parents had to make the most difficult decision….. put their kids up for adoption to keep them safe or keep them and shelter them their entire lives….

Their parents chose their wellbeing over what they wanted.

Of course their parents wanted to keep them!

But they cared about their two kids more than anything in the world. They were more important than keeping them and raising them.

That was selfless…. They could have easily chose to do what they really wanted to do and not even think about what was best for their kids…

Obviously, they didn't take this lightly… and both Asher and Christina knew that they did the right thing… even though it was hard…

Asher and Christina are still quite emotional…

They just met their biological parents, and hearing their point of view on putting them up for adoption…. It was a lot to take in….

"So um…. Did you end up finding the diamonds? Last we heard from Hawaiian officials, you attempted to find them… but then when the accident happened… no one was for certain if the diamonds were ever uncovered…." The woman asks curiously, but caring.

"And if you didn't, it is completely okay. Your safety, health and wellbeing is way more important than any old treasure." The man adds.

Asher and Christina turn to each other and just by looking at each other's faces, they knew what to do.

Both wear smiles on their faces, they each pull their respective diamond from under their hospital gowns, revealing the fate of the diamonds to their parents.

They both hold their own diamond up in the palm of their hand.

The parents gasp. "You found them!? You really found them?"

"Yeah we did!" Asher says proudly.

"It wasn't easy, and it was a long journey to get there, but it was all worth it in the end." Christina replied truthfully.

They remove their diamonds from around their necks and hand them to their parents.

Their parents look down at the diamonds in their hands in awe.

They could not believe their eyes.

"Finally…. Our family has waited generations for this…. Many decades… finally…. The time has come…. The wait is finally over… they are far more beautiful than I could have ever imagined….." The man says, still in complete shock at what he is seeing.

"You better not ever sell these… no matter what the offer is…. The diamonds are a one of a kind treasure…. They are a treasure that no money can ever buy. They are a family heirloom…. Your ancestors should be proud of you two… now that they have been found…. They are yours to enjoy and the world can see these beautiful diamonds….." The woman says.

"We promise we will never sell them… these diamonds aren't worth any money…." Asher assures them.

"Yeah…. The diamonds themselves are truly a one of a kind treasure…. We have to keep them safe and keep them in our family for many more generations to come…. For our future relatives can enjoy them. I can promise you this…. We will take good care of them, we won't let anything happen to them." Christina promises her biological parents.

"We still can't believe that you both are world famous Octonauts! That is the opportunity of a lifetime!" The man says.

"I don't know how much of the story you have been told, but I was hired a year ago." Christina reveals.

"And I was hired…. A little over a week ago. I was about begin my time on board, then that's when everything happened…whenever we go back, I will try again on starting the whole Octonaut thing!" Asher laughs.

"That is still not a coincidence that you both were hired! Even though you weren't hired at the exact same time… it is still quite a big deal." The man says.

"Yes, I mean what are the chances of both of you being selected out of thousands of people from through out the entire world? It was definitely meant to be for you two to reunited…." The woman says.

Asher and Christina look at each other and smile. "Yeah, if it weren't for Professor Inkling, none of this would have ever happened….." Asher says deeply

Their parents were right.

It was all meant to happen.

Just as it was supposed to.

:)

A month has now passed.

A week and a half later after Asher and Christina's parents showed up at the hospital, they were finally well and healed and were clear to leave.

Beau got released two weeks after they did.

Beau has been staying at a local hotel while he is finishing out the Octonaut hiring process.

From what they have heard, (which hasn't been much since Professor Inkling prefers to keep the interview process extremely private) that it isn't complete. No one knows the status on the interview stage. Is Beau a good candidate? He is doing well? Is the progress going well? Does Professor like him? Will he get the position? What will his job be? Etc.

The crew has so many questions, but no answers.

Like always, Professor Inkling has promised them that he will tell them everything when the time comes.

They just have to be patient and all questions will be revealed…..

Asher and Christina have been back and forth from Hawaii and the Octopod which is stationed in the nearby ocean.

Because they have been very busy doing interviews and photoshoots with the press, and visiting and getting to know their biological parents while they are still in Hawaii for the time being.

Today was a big day for them.

First, they are getting glammed up for a photoshoot for a magazine that is featuring them and their story and finding the diamonds.

Then after that, they have an interview with a big news station with the most well known news channel in the state of Hawaii.

Their story on reuniting as Octonauts and the story of the diamonds has become the next big thing.

People all over the world have heard about this extraordinary story.

The state of Hawaii has been busy setting up interviews and photoshoots to cover Asher and Christina's story.

Everyone wants to know more about their story and Hawaii wants to help promote it as well.

After all, the diamonds were found in Hawaii so they had to cover it.

Asher and Christina have now been glammed up by a hair and makeup team and are headed to the photoshoot room.

"So… what do you think about all of this?" Christina asked him.

"I think it is safe to say that if someone were to tell me this would all happen to me, I would have called them insane….." Asher answers honestly then laughing.

"I agree… we are basically famous now…. But I was technically famous before you because I became an Octonaut last year!" Christina points out, messing with her brother.

"Hey! I was just a little late joining the game okay! Better late than never right?" Asher laughs then winks at his sister.

Asher opens the door for Christina and they walk into the photoshoot room.

There are various backdrops everywhere, surrounding them in the room, there are dozens of cameras and props, and there are hundreds of stage lights above them.

The room was so bright, it hurt Asher and Christina's eyes at first.

This caused them to flinch a little but then their eyes adjusted.

A man in a suit approaches them. "There you are! We are ready for you!"

The man shows the twins where to go.

The photoshoot has began. As they take many photos, they move to different backgrounds and perform different poses.

"Okay there's one more pose we have to do, then we are finished here." The man says.

The man instructs Asher and Christina to stand back to back, and to turn their heads at the camera.

"And one more thing, do you have THE diamonds with you?" The asked.

The twins look at each other, give each other looks and smile.

"Always!" They say in unison and pull out the diamond necklaces out from underneath their clothes respectively.

Asher pulls his out from under his collared shirt while Christina pulls hers out from under her top part of her dress.

The man instructs them to continue the pose but to now hold up their diamonds.

After all, the diamonds is what started this entire thing.

Asher and Christina smile at the camera.

The smiles on their faces weren't just for the photo, it was how they truly felt in the moment, happy.

The photographer snaps the photo.

The man walks over to get a glance of it.

"It's…. Perfect! This will be the cover!"

:)

"We are live in….five…four…three…two…!"

The time has come for the interview to begin.

The news anchor introduces himself and the channel network, then goes on to briefly tell the story of Asher, Christina and the diamonds.

The news anchor asks them a ton of questions regarding themselves and their respective Octonaut lives.

"Back to you Christina. Despite the challenges, what was the best part of this entire experience?"

"The best part of this experience…actually wasn't the diamonds. I got something, someone that I didn't even know existed, my brother. This rollercoaster experience gave me the brother I never knew I needed." Christina answers confidently.

"Now Asher, you actually never started your Octonaut journey. What are you looking forward to most when returning to the Octopod?"

Asher sighs. "I would definitely say getting to know my new family, the Octonauts. But, what I look forward to most is getting to know the sister I never knew I needed." Asher answers, also confidently.

:)

A few weeks have now passed.

A few weeks before, the Octonauts got the good news from Inkling that Beau has been hired.

The crew was excited! Of course they were a little skeptical due to Beau's past, but they trusted Professor Inkling, just like they always have.

And they trusted Asher and Christina's recommendation.

The interview process when well. The drug tests all came back negative, his backgrounds checks were came back fine and the interview itself went more than great!

Everything worked out.

Now, Beau is onboard the Octopod, and it is time for the traditional Octonaut ceremony.

The blue carpet was in place across the HQ floor.

Beau is standing at the entrance where the blue carpet begins.

He is dressed in his official Octonaut uniform.

Everyone is in their places, chair are arranged on the left and right sides of the blue carpet.

Beau looks up at Captain Barnacles and Professor Inkling.

He is ready.

Slow, classical music is playing.

Beau begins to slowly walk down the blue carpet.

The Octonauts watching are standing, smiling back at their about to be fellow Octonaut.

Dashi is taking pictures with her camera.

While Asher is videoing using his camera equipment, so that the entire world can watch later, when he edits the clips and posts the video of the ceremony.

Beau is nervous, but excited for this new chapter in his life.

Beau reaches the end of the blue carpet, where the controls are in front of the room, with Barnacles and Inkling standing right in front of him.

The music stops.

The Octonauts in the audience sit down in their chairs.

Inkling begins his opening speech.

"Octonauts, today is a historical day. Today, Beau Lion, who will be our Oceanographer, will become an official Octonaut. We are truly continuing to grow our Octonaut crew/family and our cause. That's what it's all about. Funny thing to mention is, I had no plans at this given time to hire another Octonaut. As everyone knows of course I hired Asher Smith a little over a month ago. Of course, I had intentions of hiring more Octonauts in the future, but not this quick. I planned on waiting six months to a year. To give whomever the needed amount of time to adjust to his or her new role and to not feel as if being replaced. However, it was meant for Beau to be on our crew. Sometimes our plans don't go according to plan. Then, sometimes you gain something you never knew you needed. Which in this case, is Beau. Despite Beau's past, I had a feeling that he was Octonaut material based on his actions on the pirate ship and in the caves. However, like the rest of the Octonauts, Beau went through the same interview process. I had to make sure I was making the right decision. After a few weeks passed, I knew Beau was the one. He is what I was looking for in an Octonaut. Speaking for myself, I am very proud of Beau for stepping away from all the bad things from his past. I am very excited for his adventures with us. I made the decision to hire him as our Oceanographer because he knows our Oceans so well from being a pirate. Dashi normally performed that job when necessary, now she doesn't have to do it anymore. She can focus more on the computers and that kinda business."

The Octonauts applaud.

"Beau, do you have anything you would like to add?" Inkling asks him.

Beau nods and steps forward. "I'll start off by saying… If some matey were to tell me a month ago that this was going to be my life, I would have laughed at them. I can't believe this is real life. I just would like to say thank you for welcoming me into your family. I figure it was tough to except and trust me because of my past. But like me counselor has told me, "Don't focus on the past or you'll miss the future." That couldn't be more true. The past is in the past. I have turned over a new leaf. I finally got away from those pirates, just like I have always wanted. I am starting a new chapter in me life and I cannot be more excited. I can't wait for the many adventures that await us. I also can't wait to get to know you mateys better. Most importantly, I want to thank Asher and Christina. If it weren't for them mateys, who knows where I would be right now. I wouldn't have gotten this opportunity of a lifetime without them. I always worried what would have become of me once I left the Fearful Diamond Pirates, but now, I don't have to worry anymore. I have a future. I have a purpose. I may be an Octonaut now, but I will always have pirate in me blood!" Beau says from the heart.

"Aye matey!" Kwazii cheers excitedly for his new fellow pirate.

Beau smiles back at Kwazii. He knew already that he and Kwazii were going to be the best of friends.

Kwazii was ecstatic when he got the news that Beau was hired. The main reason was because he is a pirate! Kwazii has always wanted another pirate on board to do pirate stuff with him. His biggest wish has come true!

The Octonauts applaud once more.

Inkling's chair moves forward toward Beau.

Barnacles follows and stands on Beau's right.

Dashi and Asher move to the front of the room to get pictures and videos from the front angle.

Inkling is holding an Octonaut hat.

It was the same dark blue hat size and design that Kwazii, Shellington, Dashi, Christina and Asher all have.

"Today, Beau Lion, I present you an official Octonaut hat!" Inkling announces.

Inkling places the hat on Beau's head.

"Octonauts, I present to you the newest Octonaut, Beau Lion!" Inkling announces proudly.

Everyone applauds.

The room was filled with cheer, clapping and the snapping of Dashi's camera.

Beau was ecstatic.

Was this all a dream? Is this really happening?

Beau was almost convinced that everything that is happening is all a dream and he is still on board the Fearful Diamond ship.

He is finally an Octonaut!

After weeks of uncertainty, many interviews and background checks, and waiting, it was all worth it.

Dashi instructs Beau, Barnacles and Inkling to pose for a picture.

Then, Dashi takes an individual photo of Beau.

Once Dashi finished taking those, she sets up her camera in self timer mode and her camera takes a group picture of all the Octonauts together with Beau.

Then everyone goes and sits down at the long table set up in HQ for dinner and refreshments.

Once everyone has fixed their plates and are seated, Barnacles clears his throat to catch everyone's attention.

The room goes silent.

"It is time to make a toast!" The Captain of the Octonauts announced excitedly.

Everyone has a glass of sparkling grape juice in their paw or hand.

Barnacles stands with his glass in his paw, immediately everyone else follows.

"To…. Beau and the new adventures that await us!" Barnacles announces proudly.

Everyone gives a toast.

Beau was beyond ready for this.

So much has changed in his life in the past month.

However, it was safe to say that his life has been forever changed and it won't ever go back to the way it was before.

His life has been changed for the better. He now can live the life he has always wanted to live.

He doesn't have to live in fear anymore. He is now free.

Beau has never felt so relived and happy in his entire life.

If it weren't for Asher and Christina, who knows what would have become of him? He could still be with the Fearful Diamond pirates, or worse he could be stranded somewhere in the ocean or without a job.

Beau will always be grateful for Asher and Christina.

However, they didn't just help him out of a terrible situation, they became his friends.

For the very first time in his life, he felt like he had "real" friends.

On board the Fearful Diamond, no one was your friend. Everyone was out for themselves and you didn't share no secrets with anyone. If you shared a secret, you better hope it wasn't the kind you didn't want the entire crew to know about.

Beau is very excited to start this new chapter in his life.

He knew many great adventures awaited him, and he couldn't be more thrilled.

Once everyone has finished eating, the HQ lights go out, the Vegimals crank up the music and everyone dances.

Tunip manages the DJ table and he turns on the spinning lights, shifting the mood in the room.

The Vegimals are chirping along with the music and are all in a train, moving around room together happily.

A few minutes in, Beau pulls Asher and Christina aside.

"I just wanted to say thank you for everything. Without you, none of this would have happened." Beau said sincerely.

Asher and Christina look at each other and smile.

"If I am being honest, it should really be us thanking you. If it weren't for you, who knows if we would still be alive!" Christina replies.

"Or if we ever got the treasure in the first place!" Asher adds.

"We can just thank each other then!" Beau laughs.

"Come on matey! Let's dance like a pirate does it!" Kwazii says pulling Beau away in the opposite direction.

Asher pulls a note out of his uniform pocket and hands it to Christina.

Then he walks toward the exit.

Christina unfolds the note.

The note read: "Meet me in the Launch Bay in ten minutes. Oh, and wear your surfing gear and bring your surf board!"

Christina immediately looks up to ask Asher what this note is all about and she sees him standing at the Octo-chute and he immediately smirks and jumps in the Octo-chute, leaving the room.

Christina shakes her head in annoyance. "What is this all about?" She wondered.

She decides to do what the note says and she jumps into the Octo-chute, going to her room to change.

:)

"Asher, why are we on the beach now? Don't you think we should be at the party on board?" Christina asked hesitantly.

Asher and Christina are now on the beach. The same beach where they had the surfing competition just weeks before.

Asher has blue swim trunks on along with a matching dry fit shirt while Christina has a purple bikini top on with matching purple shorts.

"It's okay! Look, I wanted to bring you back here-" Asher says beginning to explain then he gets interrupted.

"But why?" Christina says becoming impatient.

"Look, can we go talk over there on those rocks?" Asher asks, pointing to the rocks, by the water.

Christina nods.

The twins go sit down on the rocks.

Their feet dangled off of the rocks and waves hit their feet as they talked.

"Do you remember this place?" Asher asks her.

Christina goes into the zone for a minute then she remembers.

"Oh yeah… it's where we um.. first talked… after we found out." Christina remembers.

"Yes… that's right. I feel like we didn't finish talking here… a few weeks ago." Asher admits.

"Yeah… about that…. Look I never told you that I am sorry. I am sorry I was so rude and unwelcoming to you when you first arrived. That was very wrong and unlike me. I hope you can forgive me. I truly am a nice and decent person!" Christina apologizes.

"It's okay.. and I am sorry too. For being rude back to you when I should have been responding to you in a better tone and not so bitter." Asher also apologizes.

"But I do have to ask, why were you so harsh to me in the first place?" Asher asks curiously.

Christina sighs, feeling pain from her past actions. She regretted how she acted to him. "Look, I didn't know how to feel when I heard you were hired. You were the first to be hired after I was. I feared that…. I would be forgotten and replaced…. I know that sounds so selfish but that's how I felt at the time. But I was wrong, you are never replaced when you are an Octonaut! You just keep getting more family members like when a family has their fifth child. They don't forget about their four other children, they love and include all of their children!"

"It's okay. I understand. I probably would have felt the same way too if it was me in your boots. I knew you weren't ready to be complexly real with me, to be 100% honest with me and apologize for what happened between us." Asher says.

Christina's eyes go big. "How…did you know that?" She gasped.

"Because I am your twin! Duh! I can read your mind and feel your emotions remember? But all jokes aside, I knew it because our minds were swamped that day. We were emotionally and mentally drained. I mean dang we found out we had a twin we never knew about! We had a lot to take in that day! Our lives had just been changed forever! It was hard to say what was truly on our minds because everything was running together in our heads. You know exactly what I am saying. And you had only just met me. You weren't completely ready to open up to me yet. I get that. I was the same way. That's the reason why I didn't apologize at first either." Asher admits.

"But now we can be completely honest with each other! You can trust me and I hope you will trust me too!" Christina smiles.

"I do trust you… sis. As long as we are honest with each other, we can get through anything! And I really did mean when I said it's me and you. forever. Nothing will tear us apart… ever again." Asher promises.

"I did believe you… well at least a little lol. But I do believe you now, 100%. It is me and you. Forever. No matter what." Christina promises.

This rollercoaster experience gave me the brother I never knew I needed." Christina answers confidently.

"But I have one more question. Back at the TV station, did you really mean what you said? That this rollercoaster experience gave you the brother that you never knew you needed?" Asher asked honestly.

Christina smiles, "Of course I did! I truly meant what I said. But what about you? Did you really mean what you said? That you were looking forward to getting to know the sister you never knew you needed?" Christina asked honestly.

"Of course I mean what I said! Otherwise, I wouldn't have said it. I would never say anything if I didn't mean it." Asher assured her.

Asher and Christina hug and embrace each other.

"I love you…twin…" Asher says.

"I love you to…twin." Christina says back.

The twins get up from sitting on the rocks.

"Now, there's only one thing left to do!" Asher smirks.

"What?" Christina asks laughing.

"We never actually had a fair surfing competition. You wanna give it another shot?" Asher laughs, then winking at her, challenging his sister.

Without even thinking, she replies, "It's on! But this time, I'm going to win!" Christina says confidently, then winking at Asher.

"You think you can beat me? Bring it on!" Asher laughs, challenging her.

Asher and Christina grab their surf boards from the sand.

The two run into the sea together, starting not only the surfing competition, but their new lives together. Once again.

They are truly grateful to be back together again. They were more than ready to see what the next chapter holds for them.

So much was on the horizon for them and the other Octonauts.

However, lurking in the deep waters, roamed a mysterious jellyfish… awaiting its prey….

THE END
