Behold, Chapter 7. Enjoy, because I almost failed an Anthropology and an Archaeology assignment to make this (not complaining, just stating facts).

Eddie waited for Todoroki to get back to his feet before finishing off, "I may have been defenseless my whole life, but not anymore. You're just another obstacle, one I'll kick aside or plow through like the rest. You hear me? I am not going to be shoved around anymore!"

He entered a traditional Krav Maga stance, prepared for an attack. Todoroki glared and snarled, and said, "You want a fight?"

His right palm froze over, his left one igniting in flames. He bellowed, "I'LL GIVE YOU A FIGHT!"

Flashback...

Eddie's voice narrated, "As a kid, I never really had any friends besides Kacchan. There were always the local neighbor kids, but due to my being Quirkless (and having no parents), they kind of... ignored me. I was just a source of entertainment to them. Kacchan was my only real friend.

"One day, the leader of the neighborhood gang, an older kid with a fire Quirk, led the group into the woods to, and I quote, 'Fight bad guys.' Kacchan and I... didn't believe it. We knew the woods only had some squirrels and other animals, but nothing else. We followed them in anyway. SOMEONE had to be the voice (or voices) of reason.

"They trekked through the woods, and Kacchan and I assumed that they felt like they were brave explorers and Heroes seeking out evildoers. Kacchan and I felt stupid, but we followed them anyway.

"We eventually came across a fallen log that acted as a sort of bridge between two sides of a river, about 4 feet below the log. It wasn't a deep river, but it would be a nasty fall for a kid our age. The gang leader, of course, fell off the log as he was trying to do some stupid trick. I rushed down to make sure he was ok, but he shoved me away, saying he was fine and that I was a 'Quirkless freak.' After that day, Kacchan and I never hung out with them again."

The flashback ends, and we return to where Eddie and Todoroki are prepared to fight. Todoroki's left side blazed aflame, and his right side was encased in ice. His eyes were murderous, and his teeth were bared in a snarl.

Eddie's internal monologue (AKA Venom) told him that fire was very, VERY bad for them both, and to suppress that at all costs.

Iida spoke into Todoroki's comm, "Where are you?"

Todoroki retorted shortly, "Just shut up and defend the weapon you damn loser. I have more important things to worry about."

Exasperated, Iida asked, "Are you forgetting what our mission is? Hello?" He realized what happened and exclaimed annoyedly, "He hung up on me!" Furious at Todoroki's uncooperative nature, he punched the wall in frustration and yelled, "This is not the time for radio silence! We're supposed to be partners!" He yelled in frustration again and sighed.

From the HQ, Eijoro Kirishima asked curiously, "Who's Todoroki talking to?"

All Might explained, "I gave both him and Iida a radio so they could talk to each other, as well as a map of the building. Also, this." He held up a small roll of white tape. "Capture tape. If you wrap it around your opponent, they're out for the rest of the game."

Mina Ashido put it together, "So the Heroes have a 15 minute timer to capture the weapon, and have no idea where it is?"

All Might replied, "Correct."

Mina said defensively, "Then the Heroes are clearly at a disadvantage, and a big one!"

All Might explained, "Heroes have to outwit Villains on a daily basis. That's life. Even when the odds aren't in our favor..." He held up a finger pointedly. "We fight!"

The students with him nodded in awe. All Might raised his fist and said loudly, "Let's say it, all together!"

The students with him exclaimed in unison, "Go beyond, Plus Ultra!"

Yuga Aoyama said suddenly, "Monsieur, he's on the move."

All Might wondered out loud, "Hmm?" before turning back to the screen to see Todoroki shoot forward, boosted by his flames, and make a flying sideways kick to Eddie's head. Eddie yelled, "Tsu! Go!"

Tsu leaped forward and away from the two, searching for the "Bomb." As Eddie blocked Todoroki's kick with his forearm, Todoroki said, "Ballsy move, thinking you can take on me alone!" However, he looked down in confusion to see Eddie wrapping some small white tape around his leg. He predicted carefully in his mind, "Judging from his anger and eagerness to fight, he'll make another wild attack, punching this time!"

Todoroki made a swift punch to where Eddie was with his right hand, trying to smash Eddie with his ice fist. However, thanks to Eddie's prediction, he dodged out of the way smoothly, and Venom congratulated him, Nice one, kid. Keep it up.

Happy with himself and his moves, Eddie waited for the next attack... until Todoroki shot a massive, searing bolt of fire his way, and Eddie barely managed to dodge. Venom screamed in his mind, and Eddie clenched his teeth in pain.

Todoroki must have noticed because he taunted, "What, you don't like fire? Good."

In the booth, the students commented, "He must be really well-trained to be able to hold his own against Todoroki... and aside from that sweet backflip, he hasn't even used his Quirk yet!"

All Might thought to himself, "Not surprised. He's spent years taking notes on both Heroes and Villains, internalizing it. That fanboy knowledge is really paying off... and driving him into action."

Eddie thought to Venom, "He's most likely going to start changing his moves around. I can't fight him in close range anymore. I need a plan..." He turned tail and ran as fast as he could from Todoroki, boosted by Venom's speed. Todoroki yelled in rage, "Get back here you cowardly bastard!"

Eddie ran through the maze of the building, doing his best to evade Todoroki as long as possible, hoping Tsu would find the bomb before the timer ran out.

Todoroki ran through the maze, trying to find Eddie, but couldn't, as Eddie had begun sticking to the ceiling and walls to evade him. Todoroki yelled in anger, "DAMN IT!"

Eddie used the location of Todoroki's voice to pinpoint his location, and kept running away from that direction. Todoroki continued to yell, "Well, strong or not... you're nothing compared to me!" The fire and ice in his hands flared in his rage. "I'll kick your ass, Brock!"

Kirishima commented, "Man, Todoroki has some serious anger issues." Kaminari added, "Kinda scary..."

All Might thought, "From what I've seen from Endeavor, young Todoroki thinks very highly of himself... but this level of pride is something else. It may end up being his demise..."

Todoroki froze a door, then kicked it off its hinges smoothly, entering the room and panting in rage. Elsewhere inside the building, Eddie panted in exhaustion from running, and gasped for breath. He thought analytically, "Good, he's forgotten about Tsu... just like I thought. If they wanted to send someone after the invaders, it should have been Iida. He's faster, and more level-headed. The two of them aren't working together as a team. If we had to take on those two head to head, our chances of winning would be pretty low. They both have such strong Quirks..."

With Venom boosting his brain's speed, he began calculating. "If we both go to attack Iida, he'll alert Todoroki, and we'd have to fight... And if Tsu and I both try to take Todoroki down, we'd run out of time. So we stay split up for now. I have to trust that Tsu will find Iida and the weapon, and then she'll alert me and we'll take down Iida together. That's how we'll win!"

Venom congratulated Eddie sarcastically, but Eddie was already excited and stood up. "I can keep Todoroki distracted down here long enough to let Tsu find Iida. I just have to avoid his left side..."

Todoroki's voice yelled in rage, "WHERE ARE YOU, BROCK?!" It was closer than before, and Eddie clenched his fist in determination. Todoroki yelled, "COME OUT AND FACE ME, YOU COWARD!"

Eddie steeled himself for the coming fight, and thought, I'm not going to be pushed around anymore. Never again. He increased the thickness of his Venom suit, and began looking for Todoroki.

Meanwhile, Todoroki was having flashbacks to his childhood: he was the leader of the neighborhood gang. The perfect student. His whole family and community adored him. No one dared to challenge him, or they would be beaten down by both Shoto and his father.

And that all changed when he came to U.A.

People, especially that aggravating Eddie Brock, were regularly challenging his authority. And since he couldn't use his father as immunity anymore, all he could do was stew in violent anger.

But now, he could vent some of that anger.

As he trekked through the building, he thought of ways he could torture Eddie...

Meanwhile, Tsu found the "Bomb," being guarded by Iida.

She thought to herself, "Found it... now I just need to tell Eddie..."

She pressed a hand to her comm but stopped as Iida said to himself, "Todoroki definitely has a villainous side... but I can use that to our advantage. But to win, I need to temporarily devote myself to criminal intent. Yes... I won't fail this trial and risk bringing shame on the Iida family name. I must now embrace evil, to become a Hero! Evil... I am your personification!"

He turned to where Tsu was hiding and cackled a little unconvincingly. Tsu thought, "He's not that scary in attitude... but his Quirk is a strong one... THAT'S what's scary."

Iida must have sensed her because he called out, "Is that you, Asui?"

Tsu stepped out sheepishly and nodded. Iida cackled again and said, "I predicted you would show up when Todoroki ran off to fight Brock alone. Your Quirk allows you to do anything a frog can, which is why I frog-proofed the room! You've blundered right into my trap, hero! Ahahahahahaha!"

Tsu noticed the walls, floor and ceiling were oddly shiny, and realized that Iida had probably gotten oil or something and applied it to every flat surface in the room. However, this meant that he would also be at a disadvantage as well. She calculated how she could make it to the bomb...

Back downstairs, Eddie received a message from Tsu. "Eddie, I found the weapon. But... Iida's really getting into character..."

Eddie asked quickly, "Where are you?"

Tsu replied, "In the middle of the sixth floor."

Eddie checked his location then replied, "Right above me... we probably don't have much time left now."

A clock showed that they had six minutes left. Eddie finished, "We have to finish this fast or they win."

He clenched the capture tape and thought, "It's not over yet. I can capture Todoroki... I won't lose!"

Shattering ice from behind Eddie made him whip around to see Todoroki grinning, with a murderous look in his eye. "Why aren't you using that fancy goo Quirk? Are you underestimating me?"

Eddie simply grinned back... Venom had been whispering inside his head to fight Todoroki head-to-head, and now it was starting to take effect...

Eddie's grin morphed into teeth, his mask's eyes becoming sharper and more jagged. His muscles also expanded, as Eddie grew from six to seven feet tall, then eight feet, nearly touching the ceiling.

Back inside the observation booth, several students gasped fearfully. "W-what is he doing?" "Did he just form a MOUTH?" "What's his Quirk, anyway?"

Eddie's mouthful of teeth grew sharper, as his voice changed as well... "Ŵ̴̝e̸̲͗ ̷͚͋a̴̘̿ŕ̸͕ḙ̶̚ ̴̘̈́n̵̦͌o̴̫͌t̶̖̓ ̸̗̊ű̴̞n̴̳͐d̴͉́ē̷̪r̴̜͐e̵͔̿š̵̩t̷͕̾ị̴͂m̷̰͐a̶͔̓ṱ̶̈́i̶̹̒n̸̥̎g̸̫͠ ̴̟́y̸̹̿o̶͈͝ŭ̸̺,̸̙̈́ ̶͕̓T̴̛͓ö̴̟d̷̥̾o̴̙͒r̵̰̂o̶̝̒k̶̼̒i̴̝͠.̷̯͘ ̴̯̒W̵̤͐ë̶̗ ̶͎́s̴͚͝ỉ̵͉ṁ̵͕p̴̲̅l̶̪͛y̵̹̓ ̶͇͗d̴̂͜ḯ̸̼d̷̿͜ ̴͓̂n̸̜̓o̸̰̅t̵̫͛ ̵͕̃ẃ̴̤a̵̻͠n̴̫̾ẗ̴̟́ ̸̹͛t̷͎͛ó̵̟ ̶̠͗H̴͍̍U̵͕͊R̵̡̂T̴͓͌ ̶͉̆ẙ̴̢o̴̪͆ṳ̶̈r̴͉̚ ̸̩͒a̴̳͊s̵̝͘s̶̳͆.̶̛͎" (This is Zalgo, Venom's voice when he speaks out loud. For reference, he's saying, "We are not underestimating you, Todoroki. We simply do not want to HURT your ass.")

Todoroki was either really brave or really stupid, because he just tried to launch an ice spear at Venom. Venom simply sidestepped the spear, lashing out at Todoroki with a whip tendril that sent him flying a couple of feet.

Inside the Venom suit, Eddie was in immense pain. The strain on his body from that simple act was almost unbearable, and he told Venom to return to the normal suit. Obliging, Eddie shrank back to his 6 foot tall form and collapsed. Todoroki was in a heap as well, unable to move.

Meanwhile, upstairs, Iida and Tsu felt the tremor from the resulting shockwave sent by Venom's tendril. Iida was offput by the slick flooring, but Tsu managed to leap into the air... and, fortunately, right over Iida and towards the "Weapon."

However, Iida quickly regained his footing, shooting out his creepy leg engine afterburners and shooting himself forward... right into the weapon, knocking it out of reach of Tsu. Tsu landed on the slippery floor in a tumble, somersaulting 3 or 4 times into a wall, collapsing in a heap.

Iida, with the newly rescued "Weapon," taunted, "A noble attempt, but your Quirk is no good if you're on slick surfaces! I could easily keep this weapon out of your reach until time runs out! Hahahahahhaaaa!" Iida laughed "evilly," getting pretty good at being a "Villain."

Getting up, Tsu thought, "It's not over yet. I can still get to the weapon and tap it if I can distract Iida..."

Back downstairs, Todoroki had quickly recovered from the tendril attack and was gloating over the collapsed Eddie. "Come on, Brock, get up and fight! You knocked me back, so you can still fight! Don't be a little bitch!"

Eddie groaned in pain. Venom hadn't started healing him yet, and his nerves screamed pain. He thought internally, "He can fight at both close quarters and long range thanks to his flames and ice. And my weakness is fire... so unless he happens to rely mostly on ice, which is unlikely, I'll need to incapacitate him quickly." Reaching up to his radio, he asked Tsu, "What's the situation up there?"

In his radio, he heard Tsu grumble then reply, "Urgh... not good..."

Todoroki growled audibly, "What's that? You ignoring me again? I'll get your attention!"

In the observation booth, Kirishima asked All Might, "Sir, isn't this getting out of hand? Todoroki is getting out of control. He's gonna kill Brock."

All Might replied, "Not so. Despite his fierce posture, he's not trying to kill Brock." He remembered several flashbacks from the fight. He then commanded out loud to Todoroki, "If you willingly attempt to hurt Brock, I'll stop this fight! Your team will lose!"

Todoroki, confused, asked, "Huh?"

All Might said, "The purpose of the exercise is to train yourselves, NOT to harm each other!" All Might thought to himself, "As a Teacher, I know I should stop this fight, but... I care too much about young Brock to let him be forced to quit like this."

Todoroki then began to boost himself forward with his flames, aiming to hit the now-upright Eddie. Eddie thought quickly, "He's coming too fast! I can't dodge this... I'll have to counterattack!" Painfully clenching his fist, Eddie swung upward at the flying Todoroki... who swiftly dodged and flipped over Eddie's head, blasting him with a burst of fire. Eddie felt the pain moreso than anyone else would have, due to his weakness, and collapsed on the floor.

In the observation booth, several students gasped, as Tokoyami commented, "He doesn't seem like a guy with strategy, but he's actually quite intelligent. He changed his trajectory midair by using his fire to burst into a roll, and used his fire again to devastate Brock. Impressive."

Momo said in her smartass way, "A move like that would require extreme precision. He had to calculate the physics of his movements yada yada then use extreme control of his Quirk to move."

Denki Kaminari said woefully, "Todoroki is uber-talented... I hate it."

Eddie was in incredible pain. The fire had burned his body considerably, though not visibly, and he was unprepared for Todoroki to come at him from behind, yelling, "HERE I COME, NERD!" Todoroki slammed his right forearm into Eddie's side, cracking something. He then grabbed Eddie's arm, spinning around with his firey left side and slamming Eddie into the floor painfully. "NEVER FORGET WHAT YOU ARE!"

Eddie was in more pain that he had ever been in his life. "He's not giving me enough time to form a strategy. I can't beat him... he's too good... I have no choice but to use Venom to the max."

Mina Ashido said worriedly, "This is painful to watch! He just has to wrap tape around him, not kill him!"

Tokoyami added, "Todoroki is certainly acting like a barbarian."

Kaminari noted, "I thought Brock was doing pretty good at the start, but... he's completely outmatched in terms of combat power. Not to mention Todoroki seems like a natural at all this stuff..."

All Might, in mental pain, thought "I should end this... but... I have to let it go on..."

Eddie looked around, not seeing Todoroki, and ran as fast as he could away from the area. Todoroki quickly caught up, however, and demanded, "Why won't you use your damn Quirk? Still think you can beat me without it?"

Eddie stopped running, and turned to face the slowly advancing Todoroki. Steeling himself, he said, "That's not it. I looked up to you, Todoroki. Even though we never met, I thought you were cool. And now that we've met, I want to beat you because you're strong!"

Todoroki was taken aback. Grinning evilly, he said, "You're even more of an idiot than I realized. COME AT ME!"

All Might observed silently. "The only time I hear that much passion in his voice is when he talks about being a Hero. If he wants to succeed, he has to take risks. Not for me, but for himself!"

Eddie and Todoroki had both leaped into the air to face each other head-on. Eddie's arm glowed black and white like it did when he punched the robot. Eddie, however, had a plan.

Kirishima shouted worriedly, "They're gonna kill each other, sir!"

All Might could only watch, unable to do anything.

Eddie and Todoroki both screamed in rage, about to make contact...

All Might spoke into the comm, "Both of you stop-"

Eddie then shouted into his radio, "Tsu, now!"

Tsu then jumped into the air, as Eddie thought, "I can't beat him in a one-on-one fight... BUT I CAN WIN!" Bracing himself for the upcoming pain, he screamed at the top of his lungs and punched upward toward the ceiling. The resulting shockwave tore through the building straight up, creating multiple pieces of rubble... which Tsuyu used to her advantage, leaping from piece to piece by sticking to the now-exposed, nonslick surfaces of the debris. Iida was too distracted to notice Tsuyu land on the "Weapon" and win the match.

"I got it," Tsuyu sighed in relief, gripping onto the "Weapon" and not letting go. Iida was completely astonished, gasping, "N-no way! How... you just... agh!"

Back downstairs, Todoroki stared at the big-ass holes in the ceiling made by Eddie. Growling, he asked, "This was your plan... from the very beginning, wasn't it? You were playing me this entire time, you BASTARD!" Gritting his teeth, he lowered his head to stare at Eddie in rage.

Eddie, barely able to speak, groaned, "I wasn't... going to use it... because I can't control it! My body just can't fricking handle... the backlash of my power yet. Mr Aizawa said I'd be useless... but this... was all I could think of. This is the only way I had any chance of winning." His voice sounded exhausted, pained, but full of determination.

All Might had no choice but to declare, "The Hero team... WIIIIIIINS!"
