Chapter 1

"Where are you?" Carter screamed to her phone, waiting for her father to give her the answer she needed to hear

"I'm working, honey. Why are you screaming at me?" He replied, with the audible the sound of the wind behind him

"I can't believe you. Who are you and what have you done to my father?" She wanted to cry, to scream at him. She just wanted to run away "You were supposed to be here, dad, you promised me. We've been planning this moment since I was in kindergarten"

"Baby, I have no I idea. Can you tell your not so old men about what are you talking about?" At this point she was crying, the anger was taking over her body and she perfectly knew how hell was going to break loose "Have I broken something in your room?"

"Dad, you were supposed to be here, in New York, celebrating me" She screamed, not caring about everybody watching her cry like a baby "I'm finally a fellow, but i guess that you don't care at all. Keep saving the world, and just leave me alone"

"Carter" She couldn't keep listening to him, so she threw he phone to the wall, trying to get herself together.

She sighed deeply, controlling her tears and the anger that was all over her body. Today was her day, and her father was not going to ruin it. Carter closed her eyes for a moment, trying to enjoy the silence. She picked her phone from the ground, hearing a worried J.A.R.V.I.S asking if she need something. She need her father. But she was used to it. It was weird when he showed up, but she always had hopes. She lived in the city, he was all over the world. He just wasn't her father; he wasn't the man that took her to the park on Sundays, that was there when she was sick. He wasn't the guy that taught her how she was going to change the world. Carter sighted as she fixed her makeup. Tony Stark wasn't gonna ruin her moment.

"What do they need the iridium for?" Steve heard Dr. Banner speak, not understanding exactly about he was talking about. He was a little bit shocked, two gods, a guy that turns green. He had not seen stuff like those in 1945, and back then he was the freak, the soldier experiment.

"It's a stabilizing agent" Tony Stark entered the room with agent Coulson by his side, he looked a lot like his father, but he was nothing like the Stark Steve had known. The guys kept talking, but he couldn't follow them, the were using terms that he didn't know and they were talking really fast, even for him. Somehow he was feeling like a freak again

"Does Loki need any particular kind of power source?"

"She's here" Agent Hill said before Banner could answer his question

"Who's here?"

"Unless your name ends with Stark, you're safe" Romanoff said, looking at Tony with a grinding smile. He looked at Stark, he's face was a mixed of anger and happiness. Even though, Steve could hear Agent Romanoff laughing like she was in a comedy show. "Over here, badass!" Romanoff screamed, getting up to face the visitor

Steve waited a second, hearing the quick pace of a woman in heals, a really mad woman in heals. Then he saw her. A tall brunette, with the biggest and most beautiful green eyes he'd ever seen. She was like Nat, maybe a little shorter, but she had a glow, like an energy glow, around her. That woman was the most beautiful lady he had seen since he had woken up.

"Hello, everybody" The woman said while looking at every single person in the table. "Thorgy! You look bigger than ever"

"Ah! Lady Carter, I see you've grown since the last time i saw you"

"It's called heels, and it's a chic torture device. Ah! I might put your brother in some" She replied with a smile, and Steve couldn't avoid smiling at the weird exchange

"How on Earth do you two know each other?" Suddenly the focus on the room change to Tony, who was looking at the misterious woman like she owned him an explanation

"Your daughter knowledge of the universe is an asset to everyone, and her medical degree is even a bigger asset to Shield" Fury replied, handing a tablet device to the woman. Steve had read all about Howard family in the files that he had been given, but he was struggling trying to remember if it mention Howard having a granddaughter. "Also, her experience with narcissist men re why I called her in today"

She smiled at Fury, enjoying the jab taken at Tony, when she realized that not everybody that knew her.

"Oh, how rude of me. My grandmother is going to murder me if she finds out that I didn't introduce myself to you both" She said looking at him and Bruce. She walked to them and stretched her hand at him "I'm Elizabeth Carter Stark" Did she just say Carter? Steve thought to himself while shaking her hand "But, everyone calls me Carter, Except Thorg, he's the only one that can call me Lady Stark"

"Carter?" Steve muttered while looking at her, analizing every inch of her face.

"My mother said that I was named after the strongest woman she's ever met" She smiled at him, giving him the piece of the puzzle. "But, back then the world only had space for one Margaret Elizabeth Carter, so a name must be dropped. She also says that I was a Carter since the beginning. So, Carter I am"

He had only met two Carters in his entire life. And both had left him speechless
