Note: This story was inspired by me reading Helpless-Lemon (Blending In) and Clock King 10 (Monster High Education). So if you have read their stories and see something similar or close in this story. It must have likely been influenced. If you have not read them. Go search them up. It's really amazing. I'm not going to lie. I reread them 2-3 times at this point.

Chapter 4

Lagoona hummed happily as she left her room. Along the way she saw a lot of students walking the halls. She could see many familiar faces while seeing new ones too. Mostly new ones as it was the first day for Freshmen. Meaning most of the new classmen's are here today. The more are some upperclassmen, but the rest will arrive by tomorrow.

As Lagoona walked she shouted as she heard a familiar voice. One that made her boil blood a bit.

"Gil. What do you want?" She hissed at her ex. This caught the attention of the monster around them.

Gil flinched as he took a step back. "Look. I just want to talk." He replied.

"Talk about what? How you cheated behind my back?!" She questioned.

Gil grimaced as he looked around. "Look Lagoona. Can we talk about this somewhere private?" He insisted.

Lagoona squinted her eyes. Giving him a death glare. "No. You had the entire summer to explain what you did and what happened. Not even once you tried calling or seeing me. So why should I listen to you now?" She questioned.

Gil stood where he stood as he responded. "Babe come on. Look-"

"And another thing. We aren't together anymore Gil. The moment I heard you talking to a girl all lovey and lovey over the phone! Is the moment we broke up. So don't even try calling me babe. You lost that privilege." Before Lagoona could even continue. She heard a text notification. Taking out her phone she saw who it was from and gave a soft smile.

Looking at her phone. "Gil. I'll tell you this once. Leave me alone. I don't want to do anything with you anymore." With that. She turned around and left.

Gil stood gaped while the monsters around him. Soon whispers could be heard.

Gil shook his head as he growled a bit. Soon he left the scene.

Lagoona walked through the courtyard. She was about to head to This place but was stopped by another familiar voice.

"Hey! Lagoona! Wait up!"

Lagoona faced the owner and this time she gave a huge grin.

"Eeek! Frankie! It's good to see you girl!" Squealed Lagoona.

The two ghouls got close and gave each other a bone crushing hug. They embraced each other until moments later.

"Ghoul! It's been so long. How was your summer?!" Asked Lagoona cheerfully.

"It's been great! I was mostly helping my dad and mom around the workshop. But all in all I was good! How about you?" Replied Frankie.

"I was good. Had a bumpy start in the first half but after I was good. Mostly working back home." Responded Lagoona.

"Really?" Questioned Frankie. "What do you mean by- Hey, since when did you wear a yellow jacket?"

Frankie reached and felt the fabric of Lagoona's jacket. It was extremely soft and comfortable. "Oh my. This is really comfortable! Where did you get this?"

Lagoona chuckled. "I got it from a friend."

"Was it Clawdeen? Did she make this for you?" Frankie asked.

Shaking her head. "No. It was from someone else. He gave it to me after I took it from him more then once." She said.

Frankie looked surprised. "He? Who is this he? Does Gil know about him?"

Frankie knew she shouldn't have said that as Lagoona suddenly looked angry. Seeing this. It only couldn't mean one thing.

"I'm guessing from your reaction to Gil's name. I am assuming he did something to anger you?" Asked Frankie carefully.

"Yeah." Lagoona sighed. Calming her anger down. "I broke up with Gil." She rubbed the side of her arm.

Frankie stiffened by her response. Looking around, she grabbed Lagoona's arm and dragged her somewhere more secluded.

Frankie and Lagoona sat on one of the benches located near the edge of campus. It was barren as most of the freshmen should be in their homeroom. Meaning no one would be eavesdropping on them.

"So, Lagoona. What happened?" Asked Frankie.

"I caught Gil cheating on me." Lagoona spat.

"When?!" Frankie frowned at this.

"It was right after school on the last day of school." Lagoona said. "Gil and I already said our goodbyes and I was about to leave campus. But I forgot something in my room and I went back to get it. On my way out, I heard a Gil's voice nearby. I heard he was talking to someone but I couldn't hear clearly. I got closer and noticed he was talking on the phone in a empty room."

Frankie stayed quiet as she listened.

"I heard him talking to a girl…." Lagoona whispered. Her voice started to break a bit as she recalled what she felt that day. "He talked about how he's excited to see her. How much he missed her and such. Saying sweet things that he never said to me. And when the first thing he is going to do when he gets back home. Give her one big kiss on the lips!"

Lagoona then broke as her feelings came out. She cried tears. Frankie of course reacted by giving her a hug as she let her be her shoulders to cry on.

After some time, Lagoona stopped crying as she sniffed.

"Lagoona. You don't have to continue if you don't want to. I can see you are still hurting." Frankie stayed.

"No. It's alright." Lagoona replied as she got off Frankie. Wiping her eyes. "Anyways. After I heard him say all that. I came out of nowhere and confronted him. Saying how he could do this. After 2 years of being together he does this. I asked if I wasn't enough for him. Or if something is wrong with me. He didn't say anything. Seeing he wasn't going to speak. I left him and ran to the bus…."

"Lagoona….. Is that what you meant earlier? Half of your summer being.??"

"Yes. The first half of my summer I spent depressed and sad. Mostly staying in my room. Wandering what I did. Only when my mom came day finally had enough and asked me what was wrong. I told her and saw it was furious. But Mom then explained to me if a man cheats. It's a sign that he's not the one. Since only those who cheat are the ones who are insecure. We talked and after I got better." Lagoona explained.

"Well at least you are better. Sorry if I opened up any wounds." Frankie stated.

"Don't worry. I'm sure you didn't mean too and you didn't know." Lagoona then fixed herself. "Anyways thanks for letting me cry. I couldn't cry in front of my mom since she tried helping me. This really helped me a lot. Now. I feel like I have no regrets."

Frankie smiled at her friend. "No problem. Anyways. So. Where did you get your jacket?" She asked. Wanting to help her friend move her attention away from her ex.

"Oh. I got this from- OH MY GOSH! I HAVE TO GO MEET UP WITH ICHI! HE'S PROBABLY BEEN WAITING FOR ME FOR TOO LONG!" Lagoona shouted as she got up and was about to leave. But she remembered who she was with. Giving a look back down.

"Er. Sorry Frankie. I promised I would meet up with him today. It's good to see you. But I have to go. Can we meet up later and continue?" Asked Lagoona.

Frankie saw her friend act and took note of what she said. She gave a Cheshire smile as she waved. "It's alright Lagoona. You can go, and sure we can continue later. I'll text you where to meet up."

Lagoona smiled as she nodded and ran. However she almost tripped when she heard Frankie scream.

"I hope you'll introduce me to your new boyfriend later!"

"Frankie!" Blushed Lagoona as she entered the woods.

Ichi waited at the front of the house. He checked his phone again and saw about 15 minutes past. He sighed.

"Hmm. Lagoona is late. I wonder if she's alright?" Ichi wondered.

"Heyyyy!" A voice called out. Ichi, of course, jumped up high and turned to the voice.

Ichi turned and saw it was Lagoona. Who was panting as she stopped in front of Ichi. Ichi who was now holding where his heart is as his eye twitched.

"Ahhhh? You alright Ichi?" Asked Lagoona as she caught her breath.

"Lagoona. Please. I beg of you. Do not appear out of nowhere like that. You almost gave me a heart attack." Ichi sighed as he made sure his heart was still working.

Lagoona raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "Oh! Sorry hehe! I didn't mean to." She rubbed the back of her head.

"It's fine. But please. Try not to do that." Said Ichi. As he let his hand go from his heart. "So why were you late?" He asked.

"Ummm. I came across a best friend of mine. We talked and…… got lost in time. Sorry." Lagoona said, not wanting to bring in the drama that happened.

Ichi tilted his head a bit but shrugged. "Oh alright. Can't blame you then. Anyways. Come on. Let's head to the mall already. I want to get the necessities before we have some fun."

"Okay! I hope you are ready! First thing we are going to do is get you some new clothes!" Lagoona squealed.

"I just signed my doom." Ichi mumbled. They then walked together the direction where the nearest bus stop is.

"Oh quiet you it's going to be fun. By the way. Where are Nii and San?" Lagoona asked.

"Them. I'm not sure about Nii. But San. I'm pretty sure he's with Zombie girl. Doing something related to comics." Replied Ichi.

"I see. I'm glad Ghoulia and San are spending time together. Especially Ghoulia since she finally has someone to share her love of comics." Giggled Lagoona.

"Yeah. And from what I see. I won't be surprised if they started dating. Since Son won't stop talking about her when we eat for dinner." Ichi said.

"What?! San likes Ghoulia?"

Ichi clicked his tongue. "Shoot. I wasn't supposed to say that. What I meant to say is San loves talking about zombie girls. Saying how awesome it is to be friends with a real zombie. Anyways. What I said about dating. It's just something I thought about. I mean sure they are always hanging out since they met last week. But that's it. I'm not even sure if San likes her that way. But hey. Give it more time and maybe that big lug would ask her if anything- Hey Lagoona. Why are your eyes shining like that?"

"NO REASON!" Lagoona sang. Whole she internally started to plot. Plot on bringing two of her friends together and be happy. Once she gets the needed information.

"Lagoona. Can….. please. I beg of you. Can we take a break? My arms are killing me." Ichi moaned as he held a stack of boxes and a large amount of bags. He stood near Lagoona who hummed as she looked through the rack.

"Hmm? Oh alright Ichi. You can take a seat over there while I look. I'm thinking this would look good on me. Don't you think?" She asked as she took out a nice dress.

Ichi however didn't as he went over to the nearest seat and dropped the boxes. And out the bags down. He quickly sat down and leaned against the wall. He shut his eyes as he took a nap.

Lagoona couldn't help but giggle. "Sheesh. Boys. I swear. Once they get what they need. They just want to go home. Well. Too bad. Since I helped him pick some nice clothes. It's my turn to shop while he waits." She said as she turned back the rack.

"Ichi. Pleaseeeeee." Lagoona begged.

"No Lagoona."

"But come on! I need your opinion on this!" She whined.

"No way in hell I am entering that shop! That stuff stinks!" Ichi replied.

"It does not! The perfume in there smells good!" Retorted Lagoona. "Come on. It'll be quick. I just want you to smell and give me your opinion of a perfume brand I want to get. I need a guy's opinion on it!"

Ichi grumbled. "Like I said. There is no way in hell I am ever going to-"

Ichi's rant stopped as he saw one of the many veins of many men. One that none has ever been able to resist. The dreaded … Puppy Dog Eyes.

"Please." Begged Lagoona. Doing the best Puppy Dog Eyes she could ever muster.

Ichi tried his best. "Lagoona. I know what you are doing. And it's not going to-"

Lagoona added one more thing to push Ichi to the cave. She quivered her lip.

"……" Ichi right eye twitch.

"Alright! Fine! I'll go in with you! Dang it. I hate that cursed Puppy Dog Eyes."

"Great mate! Come on let's go!"

"Ah miss. Is your…. Boyfriend alright?" An employee asked as she saw Ichi and Lagoona. Lagoona stands over Ichi with an embarrassed look. Ichi was knocked out with swirls in his eyes.

"Oh! Hi miss. Yes my boy… friend is alright. He just passed out. The perfume I sampled seems to knock him out." Lagoona stated. With a soft smile. "huh. Only if he was boyfriend …." She thought.

"Ah. I see. Was he repulsed by the smell?" Asked the employee.

Lagoona shook her head. "No. He said it smelled really nice. And great. He smelled it for a second before his eyes rolled back and he fell. From that goofy smile on his look. I say it was Soooo good it knocked him out. If I may ask. Can you show me if you have anymore? I am interested in purchasing it."

"Oh if that's the case. Here let me show you. But first. We should wake him up. It wouldn't be good for him to be on the floor like that."

Ichi and Lagoona are now in the Mall Food Court. After some more shopping, they finally went for lunch. Ichi, after carrying so much bags and boxes. Especially being knocked out earlier. He was hungry. So, he bought a lot of food as he ate.

Lagoona chuckled as she watched Ichi eat. "I'm glad he's isn't like San. From what I heard from Ghoulia. San eats messier and worse. At least with Ichi. He eats at a slower and cleaner pace." Lagoona thought.

"Lagoona! There you are!"

Lagoona groaned as she turned and saw Gil standing nearby. "Gil! What did I tell you! I thought I told you to leave me alone!" She growled. Ichi, who was eating, watched as he continued munching down on his meal.

"Lagoona! I told you. I want to talk."

"Gil! I said leave me alone!"

"But Lagoona-"

Gil was cut off from Ichi.

"Aye Buddy. She said to fuck off. If I were you. You should do as she says."

Gil's focus moved from Laguna to Ichi.

"Oh? And how the heck are you?" Gil asked angrily.

"Names Ichi you prick. Anyways. Leave. Lagoona doesn't want you near here. And also. You're causing a scene." Ichi stated as he motioned to everyone nearby, including his boss. Watching them waiting to see what happens.

Gil looked around and growled. "Look bub. I don't care. I just want to talk to Lagoona in private. I don't know who you are! But I advise you to leave the matter-"

Ichi seeing the guy not leaving. Decided to release some killer intent.

Gil stopped what he was doing and suddenly felt a great pressure on him. He suddenly felt terrified and sweat poured from his pores. He looked around and saw what was causing it. When his eyes met with Ichis. His eyes widened as the color of his scales drained.

Gil saw behind Ichi stood a huge yellow dragon behind Ichi. It towered over him. Looking down at him with bare fangs and claws ready. Red eyes looked at him if he was staring at his soul. Gil's legs started to shake as he felt fear. Not a se one sooner he booked out of there.

Everyone who was watching saw Gil getting angry one minute, then started to get scared. He then looked around. But once he saw Ichi. He lost all color and became scared. After he just ran like he saw a ghost or something.

They turned to Ichi who noticed.

"What?"

"Why did Gil look like he was going to die when he saw you?" questioned Lagoona. She is thankful that deuce left, but wonders what Ichi will do to make him run like that.

"Meh. I don't know Sea star. But how cares? At least he's gone now. By the way who was he?" Asked Ichi. He then quickly turned to everyone. "Also, don't any of you guys have things to go back to?"

The crowd then went back to their own business.

"Him? Just a nuisance. Don't worry about it- Wait? Sea Star? What do you mean by Sea Star?" Asked Lagoona, catching him calling her that.

"Oh tha?" Ichi said. "Well. From the week I have known you. You seem all buble and kind. Shining like a star. Which I like by the way. And since you're a sea creature type ghoul. SeaStar seems like a fitting nickname for you. Why? Is that a problem?"

Lagoona blushed at his words, especially when he said "I like by the way ". She shook her head. "No-no-no! I mean it's a good nickname I don't see anything wrong with. Please. Call me that if you wish. I was just surprised."

Ichi raised an eyebrow but shrugged. "Okay SeaStar. Come on. Let's eat. I'm pretty sure you have more places to go to before we head home." He grumbled a bit at the last part.

Lagoona giggled a bit as she nodded. "You got that right! I hope you can carry more boxes and bags too!"

"Ahhhhhh" Ichi Groaned more.
